Psalms 34

I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.ഞാൻ യഹോവയെ എല്ലാകാലത്തും വാഴ്ത്തും; അവന്റെ സ്തുതി എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ നാവിന്മേൽ ഇരിക്കും.

My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.എന്റെ ഉള്ളം യഹോവയിൽ പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നു; എളിയവർ അതു കേട്ടു സന്തോഷിക്കും.

O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.എന്നോടു ചേർന്നു യഹോവയെ മഹിമപ്പെടുത്തുവിൻ; നാം ഒന്നിച്ചു അവന്റെ നാമത്തെ ഉയർത്തുക.

I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.ഞാൻ യഹോവയോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു; അവൻ എനിക്കു ഉത്തരമരുളി എന്റെ സകലഭയങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും എന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു.

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.അവങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കിയവർ പ്രകാശിതരായി; അവരുടെ മുഖം ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോയതുമില്ല.

This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.ഈ എളിയവൻ നിലവിളിച്ചു; യഹോവ കേട്ടു; അവന്റെ സകലകഷ്ടങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും അവനെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

The angel of the LORD camps round about them that fear him, and delivers them.യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ അവന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാരുടെ ചുറ്റും പാളയമിറങ്ങി അവരെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in him.യഹോവ നല്ലവൻ എന്നു രുചിച്ചറിവിൻ; അവനെ ശരണംപ്രാപിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.

O fear the LORD, all of you his saints: for there is no lack to them that fear him.യഹോവയുടെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരേ, അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടുവിൻ; അവന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാർക്കു ഒന്നിന്നും മുട്ടില്ലല്ലോ.

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.ബാലസിംഹങ്ങളും ഇരകിട്ടാതെ വിശന്നിരിക്കും; യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവർക്കോ ഒരു നന്മെക്കും കുറവില്ല.

Come, all of you children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.മക്കളേ, വന്നു എനിക്കു ചെവിതരുവിൻ; യഹോവയോടുള്ള ഭക്തിയെ ഞാൻ ഉപദേശിച്ചുതരാം.

What man is he that desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good?ജീവനെ ആഗ്രഹിക്കയും നന്മ കാണേണ്ടതിന്നു ദീർഘായുസ്സ് ഇച്ഛിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ആർ?

Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile.ദോഷം ചെയ്യാതെ നിന്റെ നാവിനെയും വ്യാജം പറയാതെ നിന്റെ അധരത്തെയും കാത്തുകൊൾക;

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.ദോഷം വിട്ടകന്നു ഗുണം ചെയ്ക; സമാധാനം അന്വേഷിച്ചു പിന്തുടരുക.

The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.യഹോവയുടെ കണ്ണു നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ മേലും അവന്റെ ചെവി അവരുടെ നിലവിളിക്കും തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരുടെ ഓർമ്മയെ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ മുഖം അവർക്കു പ്രതികൂലമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.നീതിമാന്മാർ നിലവിളിച്ചു; യഹോവ കേട്ടു. സകലകഷ്ടങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു.

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saves such as be of a contrite spirit.ഹൃദയം നുറുങ്ങിയവർക്കു യഹോവ സമീപസ്ഥൻ; മനസ്സു തകർന്നവരെ അവൻ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all.നീതിമാന്റെ അനർത്ഥങ്ങൾ അസംഖ്യമാകുന്നു; അവ എല്ലാറ്റിൽനിന്നും യഹോവ അവനെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നു.

He keeps all his bones: not one of them is broken.അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ എല്ലാം അവൻ സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; അവയിൽ ഒന്നും ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകയുമില്ല.

Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.അനർത്ഥം ദുഷ്ടനെ കൊല്ലുന്നു; നീതിമാനെ പകെക്കുന്നവർ ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കും.

The LORD redeems the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.യഹോവ തന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെ പ്രാണനെ വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുന്നു; അവനെ ശരണമാക്കുന്നവരാരും ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കയില്ല.

Psalms 35

Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.യഹോവേ, എന്നോടു വാദിക്കുന്നവരോടു വാദിക്കേണമേ; എന്നോടു പൊരുതുന്നവരോടു പെരുതേണമേ.

Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.നീ പലകയും പരിചയും പിടിച്ചു എനിക്കു സഹായത്തിന്നായി എഴുന്നേൽക്കേണമേ.

Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am your salvation.നീ കുന്തം ഊരി എന്നെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവരുടെ വഴി അടെച്ചുകളയേണമേ; ഞാൻ നിന്റെ രക്ഷയാകുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാണനോടു പറയേണമേ.

Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.എനിക്കു ജീവഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവർക്കു ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും വരട്ടെ; എനിക്കു അനർത്ഥം ചിന്തിക്കുന്നവർ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു നാണിച്ചു പോകട്ടെ.

Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.അവർ കാറ്റിന്നു മുമ്പിലെ പതിർപോലെ ആകട്ടെ; യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ അവരെ ഓടിക്കട്ടെ.

Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.അവരുടെ വഴി ഇരുട്ടും വഴുവഴുപ്പും ആകട്ടെ; യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ അവരെ പിന്തുടരട്ടെ.

For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have dug for my soul.കാരണം കൂടാതെ അവർ എനിക്കായി വല ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ചു; കാരണം കൂടാതെ അവർ എന്റെ പ്രാണന്നായി കുഴി കുഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Let destruction come upon him at unexpectedly; and let his net that he has hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.അവൻ വിചാരിയാതെ അവന്നു അപായം ഭവിക്കട്ടെ; അവൻ ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ച വലയിൽ അവൻ തന്നേ കുടുങ്ങട്ടെ; അവൻ അപായത്തിൽ അകപ്പെട്ടുപോകട്ടെ.

And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.എന്റെ ഉള്ളം യഹോവയിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കും; അവന്റെ രക്ഷയിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കും;

All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto you, which deliver the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoils him?യഹോവേ, നിനക്കു തുല്യൻ ആർ? എളിയവനെ തന്നിലും ബലമേറിയവന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും എളിയവനും ദരിദ്രനുമായവനെ കവർച്ചക്കാരന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും നീ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ അസ്ഥികൾ ഒക്കെയും പറയും.

False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷികൾ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഞാൻ അറിയാത്ത കാര്യം എന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നു.

They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.അവർ എനിക്കു നന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മചെയ്തു എന്റെ പ്രാണന്നു അനാഥത്വം വരുത്തുന്നു.

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.ഞാനോ, അവർ ദീനമായ്ക്കിടന്നപ്പോൾ രട്ടുടുത്തു; ഉപവാസംകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ ആത്മതപനം ചെയ്തു; എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന എന്റെ മാർവ്വിടത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു.

I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourns for his mother.അവൻ എനിക്കു സ്നേഹിതനോ സഹോദരനോ എന്നപോലെ ഞാൻ പെരുമാറി; അമ്മയെക്കുറിച്ചു ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ ദുഃഖിച്ചു കുനിഞ്ഞുനടന്നു.

But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the outcasts gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not:അവരോ എന്റെ വീഴ്ചയിങ്കൽ സന്തോഷിച്ചു കൂട്ടംകൂടി; ഞാൻ അറിയാത്ത അധമന്മാർ എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി കൂടിവന്നു. അവർ ഇടവിടാതെ എന്നെ പഴിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു.

With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.അടിയന്തരങ്ങളിൽ കോമാളികളായ വഷളന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അവർ എന്റെ നേരെ പല്ലു കടിക്കുന്നു.

¹⁷

Lord, how long will you look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.കർത്താവേ, നീ എത്രത്തോളം നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും? അവരുടെ നാശത്തിൽനിന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാണനെയും ബാലസിംഹങ്ങളുടെ വശത്തുനിന്നു എന്റെ ജിവനെയും വിടുവിക്കേണമേ.

I will give you thanks in the great congregation: I will praise you among much people.ഞാൻ മഹാസഭയിൽ നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യും; ബഹുജനത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കും.

Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.വെറുതെ എനിക്കു ശത്രുക്കളായവർ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ; കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവർ കണ്ണിമെക്കയുമരുതേ.

For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.അവർ സമാധാനവാക്കു സംസാരിക്കാതെ ദേശത്തിലെ സാധുക്കളുടെ നേരെ വ്യാജകാര്യങ്ങളെ നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു.

Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye has seen it.അവർ എന്റെ നേരെ വായ്പിളർന്നു: നന്നായി, ഞങ്ങൾ സ്വന്തകണ്ണാൽ കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

This you have seen, O LORD: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.യഹോവേ, നീ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ; മൌനമായിരിക്കരുതേ; കർത്താവേ, എന്നോടകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ,

Stir up yourself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.എന്റെ ദൈവവും എന്റെ കർത്താവുമായുള്ളോവേ, ഉണർന്നു എന്റെ ന്യായത്തിന്നും വ്യവഹാരത്തിന്നും ജാഗരിക്കേണമേ.

²⁴

Judge me, O LORD my God, according to your righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ നീതിപ്രകാരം എനിക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചു തരേണമേ; അവർ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ.

²⁵

Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ: നന്നായി, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആഗ്രഹം സാധിച്ചു എന്നു പറയരുതേ; ഞങ്ങൾ അവനെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു എന്നും പറയരുതേ.

²⁶

Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.എന്റെ അനർത്ഥത്തിൽ സന്തോഷിയക്കുന്നവർ ഒരുപോലെ ലജ്ജിച്ചു ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ, എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പുപറയുന്നവർ ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും ധരിക്കട്ടെ.

²⁷

Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.എന്റെ നീതിയിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നവർ ഘോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കട്ടെ. തന്റെ ദാസന്റെ ശ്രേയസ്സിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ മഹത്വമുള്ളവൻ എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവർ എപ്പോഴും പറയട്ടെ.

And my tongue shall speak of your righteousness and of your praise all the day long.എന്റെ നാവു നിന്റെ നീതിയെയും നാളെല്ലാം നിന്റെ സ്തുതിയെയും വർണ്ണിക്കും.

Psalms 36

The transgression of the wicked says within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.ദുഷ്ടന്നു തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പാപാദേശമുണ്ടു; അവന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ ദൈവഭയമില്ല.

For he flatters himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.തന്റെ കുറ്റം തെളിഞ്ഞു വെറുപ്പായ്തീരുകയില്ല എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവ തന്നോടു തന്നേ മധുരവാക്കു പറയുന്നു.

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he has left off to be wise, and to do good.അവന്റെ വായിലെ വാക്കുകൾ അകൃത്യവും വഞ്ചനയും ആകുന്നു; ബുദ്ധിമാനായിരിക്കുന്നതും നന്മചെയ്യുന്നതും അവൻ വിട്ടുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

He devises mischief upon his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he detests not evil.അവൻ തന്റെ കിടക്കമേൽ അകൃത്യം ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു; കൊള്ളരുതാത്ത വഴിയിൽ അവൻ നില്ക്കുന്നു; ദോഷത്തെ വെറുക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and your faithfulness reachs unto the clouds.യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ദയ ആകാശത്തോളവും നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തത മേഘങ്ങളോളവും എത്തുന്നു.

Your righteousness is like the great mountains; your judgments are a great deep: O LORD, you preserve man and beast.നിന്റെ നീതി ദിവ്യപർവ്വതങ്ങളെപ്പോലെയും നിന്റെ ന്യായവിധികൾ വലിയ ആഴിയെപ്പോലെയും ആകുന്നു; യഹോവേ, നീ മനുഷ്യരെയും മൃഗങ്ങളെയും രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

How excellent is your loving kindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of your wings.ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ ദയ എത്ര വിലയേറിയതു! മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാർ നിന്റെ ചിറകിൻ നിഴലിൽ ശരണം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു.

They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of your house; and you shall make them drink of the river of your pleasures.നിന്റെ ആലയത്തിലെ പുഷ്ടി അവർ അനുഭവിച്ചു തൃപ്തി പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ആനന്ദനദി നീ അവരെ കുടിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

For with you is the fountain of life: in your light shall we see light.നിന്റെ പക്കൽ ജീവന്റെ ഉറവുണ്ടല്ലോ; നിന്റെ പ്രകാശത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ പ്രകാശം കാണുന്നു.

O continue your loving kindness unto them that know you; and your righteousness to the upright in heart.നിന്നെ അറിയുന്നവർക്കു നിന്റെ ദയയും ഹൃദയപരമാർത്ഥികൾക്കു നിന്റെ നീതിയും ദീർഘമാക്കേണമേ.

Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.ഡംഭികളുടെ കാൽ എന്റെ നേരെ വരരുതേ; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കൈ എന്നെ ആട്ടിക്കളയരുതേ.

There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാർ അവിടെത്തന്നേ വീഴുന്നു: അവർ മറിഞ്ഞു വീഴുന്നു; എഴുന്നേല്പാൻ കഴിയുന്നതുമില്ല.
