Jeremiah 28

And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spoke unto me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,ആയാണ്ടിൽ, യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവിന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ ആരംഭത്തിങ്കൽ, നാലാം ആണ്ടിൽ അഞ്ചാം മാസത്തിൽ, ഗിബെയോന്യനായ അസ്സൂരിന്റെ മകൻ ഹനന്യാപ്രവാചകൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെയും സർവ്വജനത്തിന്റെയും മുമ്പിൽവെച്ചു എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രാകരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ നുകം ഒടിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.

Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the LORD's house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു എടുത്തു ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവയുടെ ആലയംവക ഉപകരണങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും ഞാൻ രണ്ടു സംവത്സരത്തിന്നകം ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തും;

And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, says the LORD: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.യെഹോയാക്കീമിന്റെ മകനായി യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ നെഖൊന്യാവെയും ബാബേലിലേക്കു പോയ സകലയെഹൂദാബദ്ധന്മാരെയും ഞാൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തും; ഞാൻ ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ നുകം ഒടിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Then the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the LORD,അപ്പോൾ യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകൻ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ നില്ക്കുന്ന സകല ജനവും കേൾക്കെ ഹനന്യാപ്രവാചകനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു:

Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORD's house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place.ആമേൻ, യഹോവ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുമാറാകട്ടെ; യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം വക ഉപകരണങ്ങളെയും സകലബദ്ധന്മാരെയും അവൻ ബാബേലിൽനിന്നു ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തുമെന്നു നീ പ്രവചിച്ചവാക്കുകളെ യഹോവ നിവർത്തിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ!

Nevertheless hear you now this word that I speak in yours ears, and in the ears of all the people;എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ നിന്നോടും സകലജനത്തോടും പറയുന്ന ഈ വചനം കേട്ടുകൊൾക.

The prophets that have been before me and before you of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.എനിക്കും നിനക്കും മുമ്പു പണ്ടേയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാർ അനേകം ദേശങ്ങൾക്കും വലിയ രാജ്യങ്ങൾക്കും വിരോധമായി യുദ്ധവും അനർത്ഥവും മഹാമാരിയും പ്രവചിച്ചു.

The prophet which prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the LORD has truly sent him.സമാധാനം പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകനോ അവന്റെ വചനം നിവൃത്തിയാകുമ്പോൾ, അവൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു യഹോവ അയച്ച പ്രവാചകൻ എന്നു തെളിയും എന്നു യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകൻ പറഞ്ഞു;

Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and brake it.അപ്പോൾ ഹനന്യാപ്രവാചകൻ യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽനിന്നു ആ നുകം എടുത്തു ഒടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു,

And Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus says the LORD; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.സകലജനവും കേൾക്കെ; ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ രണ്ടു സംവത്സരത്തിന്നകം ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ നുകം സകലജാതികളുടെയും കഴുത്തിൽനിന്നു എടുത്തു ഒടിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകനോ തന്റെ വഴിക്കു പോയി.

Then the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the prophet, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,ഹനന്യാപ്രവാചകൻ യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽനിന്നു നുകം എടുത്തു ഒടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞശേഷം യിരെമ്യാവിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus says the LORD; You have broken the yokes of wood; but you shall make for them yokes of iron.നീ ചെന്നു ഹനന്യാവോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു നീ മരംകൊണ്ടുള്ള നുകം ഒടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അതിന്നു പകരം നീ ഇരിമ്പുകൊണ്ടുള്ളൊരു നുകം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.എങ്ങനെയെന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിനെ സേവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇരിമ്പുകൊണ്ടുള്ളോരു നുകം ഞാൻ ഈ സകലജാതികളുടെയും കഴുത്തിൽ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ അവനെ സേവിക്കേണ്ടിവരും; വയലിലെ മൃഗങ്ങളെയും ഞാൻ അവന്നു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD has not sent you; but you make this people to trust in a lie.പിന്നെ യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകൻ ഹനന്യാപ്രവാചകനോടു: ഹനന്യാവേ, കേൾക്ക! യഹോവ നിന്നെ അയച്ചിട്ടില്ല; നീ ഈ ജനത്തെ ഭോഷ്കിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു.

Therefore thus says the LORD; Behold, I will cast you from off the face of the earth: this year you shall die, because you have taught rebellion against the LORD.അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഭൂതലത്തിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും; ഈ ആണ്ടിൽ നീ മരിക്കും; നീ യഹോവെക്കു വിരോധമായി മത്സരം സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.അങ്ങനെ ഹനന്യാപ്രവാചകൻ ആയാണ്ടിൽ തന്നേ ഏഴാംമാസത്തിൽ മരിച്ചു.

Jeremiah 29

Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;യെഖൊന്യാരാജാവും രാജമാതാവും ഷണ്ഡന്മാരും യെഹൂദയിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും ഉള്ള പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ശില്പികളും കൊല്ലന്മാരും യെരൂശലേം വിട്ടു പോയശേഷം,

(After that Jeconiah the king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;)യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകൻ ബദ്ധന്മാരുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാരിൽ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവർക്കും പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കും പ്രവാചകന്മാർക്കും നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ യെരൂശലേമിൽ നിന്നു ബാബേലിലേക്കു പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോയിരുന്ന സകലജനത്തിന്നും

By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon) saying,യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവു ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ബാബേലിലേക്കു അയച്ച ശാഫാന്റെ മകനായ എലാസയുടെയും ഹിൽക്കീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ ഗെമർയ്യാവിന്റെയും കൈവശം യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു കൊടുത്തയച്ചു ലേഖനത്തിലെ വിവരം എന്തെന്നാൽ:

Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ, താൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു ബാബേലിലേക്കു പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോകുമാറാക്കിയ സകലബദ്ധന്മാരോടും ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു:

Build all of you houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;നിങ്ങൾ വീടുകളെ പണിതു പാർപ്പിൻ; തോട്ടങ്ങളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി ഫലം അനുഭവിപ്പിൻ.

Take all of you wives, and brought forth sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that all of you may be increased there, and not diminished.ഭാര്യമാരെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിപ്പിൻ; നിങ്ങൾ അവിടെ കുറഞ്ഞുപോകാതെ പെരുകേണ്ടതിന്നു പുത്രന്മാർക്കു ഭാര്യമാരെ എടുക്കയും പുത്രിമാരെ പുരുഷന്മാർക്കു കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്‍വിൻ; അവരും പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിക്കട്ടെ.

And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall all of you have peace.ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ബദ്ധന്മാരായി കൊണ്ടുപോകുമാറാക്കിയ പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ നന്മ അന്വേഷിച്ചു അതിന്നുവേണ്ടി യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ; അതിന്നു നന്മ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കും നന്മ ഉണ്ടാകും.

For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which all of you cause to be dreamed.യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിലുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരും പ്രശ്നക്കാരും നിങ്ങളെ ചതിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങൾ കാണുന്ന സ്വപ്നങ്ങളെ കൂട്ടാക്കുകയും അരുതു.

For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, says the LORD.അവർ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ നിങ്ങളോടു ഭോഷ്കു പ്രവചിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവരെ അയച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

For thus says the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ബാബേലിലെ എഴുപതു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷമേ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ സന്ദർശിച്ചു ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തുമെന്നു നിങ്ങളോടുള്ള എന്റെ വചനം ഞാൻ നിവർത്തിക്കയുള്ളു.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.നിങ്ങൾ പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്ന ശുഭഭാവി വരുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു നിരൂപിക്കുന്ന നിരൂപണങ്ങൾ ഇന്നവ എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; അവ തിന്മെക്കല്ല നന്മെക്കത്രേയുള്ള നിരൂപണങ്ങൾ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Then shall all of you call upon me, and all of you shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.നിങ്ങൾ എന്നോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽവന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കയും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേൾക്കയും ചെയ്യും

And all of you shall seek me, and find me, when all of you shall search for me with all your heart.നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ അന്വെഷിക്കും; പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ അന്വേഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തും.

And I will be found of you, says the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you, says the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തുവാൻ ഞാൻ ഇടയാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാസം മാറ്റും; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന സകലജാതികളിൽനിന്നും എല്ലായിടങ്ങളിലുംനിന്നും നിങ്ങളെ ശേഖരിച്ചു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുപോകുമാറാക്കിയ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു തന്നേ മടക്കിവരുത്തും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Because all of you have said, The LORD has raised us up prophets in Babylon;യഹോവ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു ബാബേലിൽ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Know that thus says the LORD of the king that sits upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwells in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;ദാവീദിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്ന രാജാവിനെക്കുറിച്ചും ഈ നഗരത്തിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന സകലജനത്തേയുംകുറിച്ചും നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു വരാത്ത നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചും യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Thus says the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.അതേ, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഇതാ, ഞാൻ അവർക്കു വാളും ക്ഷമവും മഹാമാരിയും അയച്ചു, എത്രയും ആകാത്തതും തിന്നുകൂടാതവണ്ണം ചീത്തയും ആയ അത്തപ്പഴത്തിന്നു അവരെ സമമാക്കും.

And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations where I have driven them:ഞാൻ അവരെ വാൾകൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും മഹാമാരികൊണ്ടും വേട്ടയാടി ഭൂതലത്തിലെ സകലരാജ്യങ്ങൾക്കും ഭയഹേതുവും ഞാൻ അവരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞ സകലജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയിൽ ഒരു ശാപവാക്യവും സ്തംഭനഹേതുവും പരിഹാസവിഷയവും നിന്ദയും ആക്കും.

Because they have not hearkened to my words, says the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but all of you would not hear, says the LORD.പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ എന്റെ ദാസന്മാർമുഖാന്തരം ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞയച്ച വചനങ്ങളെ അവർ കേൾക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ അവരെ അയച്ചിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Hear all of you therefore the word of the LORD, all you of the captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon:അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു ബാബേലിലേക്കു അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സകല പ്രവാസികളുമായുള്ളോരേ, നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ!

Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ നിങ്ങളോടു ഭോഷ്കു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന കോലായാവിന്റെ മകനായ ആഹാബിനെക്കുറിച്ചും, മയസേയാവിന്റെ മകനായ സിദെക്കിയാവെക്കുറിച്ചും, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ അവരെ ബാബേൽ രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ കാൺകെ അവൻ അവരെ കൊന്നുകളയും.

And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make you like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;ബാബേൽരാജാവു തീയിൽ ഇട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞ സിദെക്കീയാവെപ്പോലെയും ആഹാബിനെപ്പോലെയും യഹോവ നിന്നെ ആക്കട്ടെ എന്നു ബാബേലിലുള്ള യെഹൂദാപ്രവാസിളെല്ലാം ഒരു ശാപവാക്യം അവരെച്ചൊല്ലിപറയും.

Because they have committed villainy in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours' wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, says the LORD.അവർ യിസ്രായേലിൽ വഷളത്വം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു തങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടുകാരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരോടു വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്കയും ഞാൻ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്ത വചനം വ്യാജമായി എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ പ്രസ്താവിക്കയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അതു അറിയുന്നു, സാക്ഷിയും ആകുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Thus shall you also speak to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, saying,നെഹെലാമ്യനായ ശെമയ്യാവോടു നീ പറയേണ്ടതു:

Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Because you have sent letters in your name unto all the people that are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying,യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നീ യെരൂശലേമിലെ സകലജനത്തിന്നും മയസേയാവിന്റെ മകനായ സെഫന്യാപുരോഹിതന്നും സകലപുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കും നിന്റെ പേരുവെച്ചു അയച്ച എഴുത്തുകളിൽ:

The LORD has made you priest in the position of Jehoiada the priest, that all of you should be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and makes himself a prophet, that you should put him in prison, and in the stocks.നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ ഭ്രാന്തുപിടിച്ചു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന എതു മനുഷ്യനെയും പിടിച്ചു ആമത്തിലും വിലങ്ങിലും ഇടേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവ നിന്നെ യഹോയാദാപുരോഹിതന്നു പകരം പുരോഹിതനാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Now therefore why have you not reproved Jeremiah of Anathoth, which makes himself a prophet to you?ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങളോടു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന അനാഥോത്തുകാരനായ യിരെമ്യാവെ നീ ശാസിക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതെന്തു?

For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build all of you houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.അതുകൊണ്ടല്ലോ അവൻ ബാബേലിൽ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു ആളയച്ചു: ഈ പ്രവാസം ദീർഘം ആയിരക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ വീടുകളെ പണിതു പാർപ്പിൻ; തോട്ടങ്ങളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി ഫലം അനുഭവിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറയിച്ചതു? എന്നു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

And Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet.ഈ എഴുത്തു സെഫന്യാപുരോഹിതൻ യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകൻ കേൾക്കെ വായിച്ചിരുന്നു.

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus says the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah has prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie:നീ സകലപ്രവാസികൾക്കും ആളയച്ചു, നെഹെലാമ്യനായ ശെമയ്യാവെക്കുറിച്ചു പറയിക്കേണ്ടതു; യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ശെമയ്യാവെ ഞാൻ അയക്കാതെ ഇരുന്നിട്ടും അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പ്രവചിച്ചു നിങ്ങളെ ഭോഷ്കിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുമാറാക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടു

Therefore thus says the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, says the LORD; because he has taught rebellion against the LORD.യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ നെഹെലാമ്യനായ ശെമയ്യാവെയും അവന്റെ സന്തതിയെയും സന്ദർശിക്കും; ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ പാർപ്പാൻ അവന്നു ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു ഞാൻ വരുത്തുവാനിരിക്കുന്ന നന്മ അവൻ അനുഭവിക്കയുമില്ല; അവൻ യഹോവെക്കു വിരോധമായി ദ്രോഹം സംസാരിച്ചുവല്ലോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Jeremiah 30

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,യഹോവയിങ്കൽ നിന്നു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

Thus speaks the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write you all the words that I have spoken unto you in a book.യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന സകലവചനങ്ങളെയും ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിവെക്കുക.

For, lo, the days come, says the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, says the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലും യെഹൂദയുമായ എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ പ്രവാസം മാറ്റുവാനുള്ള കാലം വരും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു: ഞാൻ അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു അവരെ മടക്കി വരുത്തും; അവർ അതിനെ കൈവശമാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

And these are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah.യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിനെയും യെഹൂദയെയും കുറിച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനങ്ങളാവിതു:

For thus says the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നാം നടുക്കത്തിന്റെ മുഴക്കം കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; സമാധാനമല്ല, ഭയമത്രെ ഉള്ളതു.

Ask all of you now, and see whether a man does travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?പുരുഷൻ പ്രസവിക്കുമാറുണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചുനോക്കുവിൻ! ഏതു പുരുഷനും നോവുകിട്ടിയ സ്ത്രീയെപ്പോലെ കൈ നടുവിന്നു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതും ഏതു മുഖവും വിളറിയിരിക്കുന്നതും ഞാൻ കാണുന്നതു എന്തു?

Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.ആ നാൾപോലെ വേറെ ഇല്ലാതവണ്ണം അതു വലുതായിരിക്കുന്നു കഷ്ടം! അതു യാക്കോബിന്നു കഷ്ടകാലം തന്നേ; എങ്കിലും അവൻ അതിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും.

For it shall come to pass in that day, says the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and will burst your bonds, and strangers shall no more make use of him:അന്നു ഞാൻ അവന്റെ നുകം നിന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽനിന്നു ഒടിച്ചു ബന്ധനങ്ങളെ അറുത്തുകളയും; അന്യന്മാർ ഇനി അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു സേവ ചെയ്യിക്കയുമില്ല എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെയും ഞാൻ അവർക്കു എഴുന്നേല്പിപ്പാനുള്ള രാജാവായ ദാവീദിനെയും സേവിക്കും.

Therefore fear you not, O my servant Jacob, says the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save you from far, and your seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.ആകയാൽ എന്റെ ദാസനായ യാക്കോബേ, നീ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; യിസ്രായേലേ, നീ ഭ്രമിക്കേണ്ടാ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ദൂരത്തുനിന്നും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയെ പ്രവാസദേശത്തുനിന്നും രക്ഷിക്കും; യാക്കോബ് മടങ്ങിവന്നു സ്വസ്ഥതമായും സ്വൈരമായും ഇരിക്കും; ആരും അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുകയില്ല.

For I am with you, says the LORD, to save you: though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, yet I will not make a full end of you: but I will correct you in measure, and will not leave you altogether unpunished.നിന്നെ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെയുണ്ടു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; നിന്നെ ഞാൻ ചിതറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ സകലജാതികളെയും ഞാൻ മുടിച്ചുകളയും; എങ്കിലും, നിന്നെ ഞാൻ മുടിച്ചു കളകയില്ല; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ന്യായത്തോടെ ശിക്ഷിക്കും; ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിടുകയില്ലതാനും.

For thus says the LORD, Your bruise is incurable, and your wound is grievous.യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിന്റെ പരുകൂ മാറാത്തതും നിന്റെ മുറിവു വിഷമമുള്ളതുമാകുന്നു.

There is none to plead your cause, that you may be bound up: you have no healing medicines.നിന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം നടത്തുവാൻ ആരുമില്ല; നിന്റെ മുറിവിന്നു ഇടുവാൻ മരുന്നും കുഴമ്പും ഇല്ല.

All your lovers have forgotten you; they seek you not; for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of yours iniquity; because your sins were increased.നിന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാർ ഒക്കെയും നിന്നെ മറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്റെ ആധിക്യംനിമിത്തവും നിന്റെ പാപത്തിന്റെ പെരുപ്പംനിമിത്തവും ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശത്രു അടിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും ക്രൂരൻ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും അടിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവർ നിന്നെ നോക്കുന്നില്ല.

Why cry you for yours affliction? your sorrow is incurable for the multitude of yours iniquity: because your sins were increased, I have done these things unto you.നിന്റെ പരുക്കിനെയും മാറാത്ത വേദനയെയും കുറിച്ചു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു? നിന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്റെ ആധിക്യംനിമിത്തവും നിന്റെ പാപത്തിന്റെ പെരുപ്പം നിമിത്തവും അല്ലോ ഞാൻ ഇതു നിന്നോടു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു.

Therefore all they that devour you shall be devoured; and all yours adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil you shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon you will I give for a prey.അതുകൊണ്ടു നിന്നെ തിന്നുകളയുന്നവരെല്ലാവരും തിന്നുകളയപ്പെടും; നിന്റെ സകല വൈരികളും ഒട്ടൊഴിയാതെ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകും; നിന്നെ കൊള്ളയിടുന്നവർ കൊള്ളയായ്തീരും നിന്നെ കവർച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നവരെയൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ കവർച്ചെക്കു ഏല്പിക്കും.

For I will restore health unto you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the LORD; because they called you an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeks after.അവർ നിന്നെ ഭ്രഷ്ടയെന്നും ആരും തിരിഞ്ഞു നോക്കാത്ത സീയോനെന്നും വിളിക്കകൊണ്ടു, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മുറിവുകളെ പൊറുപ്പിച്ചു നിനക്കു ആരോഗ്യം വരുത്തും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

¹⁸

Thus says the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwelling places; and the city shall be built upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ യാക്കോബിൻ കൂടാരങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാസം മാറ്റി അവന്റെ നിവാസങ്ങളോടു കരുണ കാണിക്കും; നഗരം അതിന്റെ കൽക്കുന്നിന്മേൽ പണിയപ്പെടും; അരമനയും യഥാസ്ഥാനപ്പെടും.

And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.അവയിൽനിന്നു സ്തോത്രവും സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഘോഷവും പുറപ്പെടും; ഞാൻ അവരെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും; അവർ കുറഞ്ഞുപോകയില്ല; ഞാൻ അവരെ മഹത്വീകരിക്കും; അവർ എളിമപ്പെടുകയുമില്ല.

Their children also shall be as in old times, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.അവരുടെ മക്കളും പണ്ടത്തെപ്പോലെയാകും; അവരുടെ സഭ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിലനില്ക്കും; അവരെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരെയും ഞാൻ സന്ദർശിക്കും.

And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? says the LORD.അവരുടെ പ്രഭു അവരിൽനിന്നു തന്നെ ഉണ്ടാകും; അവരുടെ അധിപതി അവരുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിക്കും; ഞാൻ അവനെ അടുപ്പിക്കും; അവൻ എന്നോടു അടുക്കും; അല്ലാതെ എന്നോടു അടുപ്പാൻ ധൈര്യപ്പെടുന്നവൻ ആർ? എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

And all of you shall be my people, and I will be your God.അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ എനിക്കു ജനമായും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ദൈവമായും ഇരിക്കും.

Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goes forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.യഹോവയുടെ ക്രോധം എന്ന ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റു, കടുപ്പമായി അടിക്കുന്ന ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റു തന്നേ, പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; അതു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ തലമേൽ ചുഴന്നടിക്കും.

The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he has done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days all of you shall consider it.യഹോവയുടെ ഉഗ്രകോപം അവന്റെ മനസ്സിലെ നിർണ്ണയങ്ങളെ നടത്തി നിവർത്തിക്കുവോളം മടങ്ങുകയില്ല; ഭാവികാലത്തു നിങ്ങൾ അതു ഗ്രഹിക്കും.
