Now when all this was finished, all Israel that were present went out to the cities of Judah, and brake the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the children of Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.ഇതൊക്കെയും തീർന്നശേഷം വന്നുകൂടിയിരുന്ന എല്ലായിസ്രായേലും യെഹൂദാനഗരങ്ങളിലേക്കു ചെന്നു സ്തംഭവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ തകർത്തു എല്ലായെഹൂദയിലും ബെന്യാമീനിലും എഫ്രയീമിലും മനശ്ശെയിലും ഉള്ള അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠകളെ വെട്ടി പുജാഗിരികളെയും ബലിപീഠങ്ങളെയും ഇടിച്ചു നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു. പിന്നെ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ എല്ലാവരും ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കും അവകാശത്തിലേക്കും മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

And Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their courses, every man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the tents of the LORD.അനന്തരം യെഹിസ്കീയാവു പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെയും ലേവ്യരുടെയും കൂറുകളെ കൂറുക്കുറായി ഓരോരുത്തനെ അവനവന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷപ്രകാരം പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും കഴിപ്പാനും യഹോവയുടെ പാളയത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകളിൽ ശുശ്രൂഷിപ്പാനും സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്തു വാഴ്ത്തുവാനും നിയമിച്ചു.

He appointed also the king's portion of his substance for the burnt offerings, to know, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in the law of the LORD.രാജാവു ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾക്കായിട്ടു, യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ കാലത്തെയും വൈകുന്നേരത്തെയും ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾക്കായിട്ടും ശബ്ബത്തുകളിലും അമാവാസ്യകളിലും ഉത്സവങ്ങളിലും ഉള്ള ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾക്കായിട്ടും തന്നേ സ്വന്തവകയിൽനിന്നു ഒരു ഓഹരി നിശ്ചയിച്ചു.

Moreover he commanded the people that dwelt in Jerusalem to give the portion of the priests and the Levites, that they might be encouraged in the law of the LORD.യെരൂശലേമിൽ പാർത്ത ജനത്തോടു അവൻ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ ഉറ്റിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ ഓഹരി കൊടുപ്പാൻ കല്പിച്ചു.

And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the first- fruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.ഈ കല്പന പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ഉടനെ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ധാന്യം, വീഞ്ഞ്, എണ്ണ, തേൻ, വയലിലെ എല്ലാവിളവും എന്നിവയുടെ ആദ്യഫലം വളരെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; എല്ലാറ്റിന്റെയും ദശാംശവും അനവധി കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And concerning the children of Israel and Judah, that dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were consecrated unto the LORD their God, and laid them by heaps.യെഹൂദാനഗരങ്ങളിൽ പാർത്ത യിസ്രായേല്യരും യെഹൂദ്യരും കൂടെ കാളകളിലും ആടുകളിലും ദശാംശവും തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു നിവേദിച്ചിരുന്ന നിവേദിതവസ്തുക്കളിൽ ദശാംശവും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു കൂമ്പാരമായി കൂട്ടി.

In the third month they began to lay the foundation of the heaps, and finished them in the seventh month.മൂന്നാം മാസത്തിൽ അവർ കൂമ്പാരം കൂട്ടിത്തുടങ്ങി ഏഴാം മാസത്തിൽ തീർത്തു.

And when Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed the LORD, and his people Israel.യെഹിസ്കീയാവും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും വന്നു കൂമ്പാരങ്ങളെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവർ യഹോവയെയും അവന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെയും വാഴ്ത്തി.

Then Hezekiah questioned with the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.യെഹിസ്കീയാവു കൂമ്പാരങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടും ലേവ്യരോടും ചോദിച്ചു.

And Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok answered him, and said, Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the LORD has blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.അതിന്നു സാദോക്കിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിൽ മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ അസർയ്യാവു അവനോടു: ജനം ഈ വഴിപാടുകളെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തുടങ്ങിയതുമുതൽ ഞങ്ങൾ തിന്നു തൃപ്തരായി വളരെ ശേഷിപ്പിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ശേഷിച്ചതാകുന്നു ഈ വലിയ കൂമ്പാരം എന്നുത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

Then Hezekiah commanded to prepare chambers in the house of the LORD; and they prepared them,അപ്പോൾ യെഹിസ്കീയാവു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ അറകൾ ഒരുക്കുവാൻ കല്പിച്ചു;

And brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: over which Cononiah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was the next.അങ്ങനെ അവർ ഒരുക്കിയശേഷം വഴിപാടുകളും ദശാംശങ്ങളും നിവേദിതവസ്തുക്കളും വിശ്വസ്തതയോടെ അകത്തുകൊണ്ടുവന്നു: ലേവ്യനായ കോനന്യാവു അവെക്കു മേൽവിചാരകനും അവന്റെ അനുജൻ ശിമെയി രണ്ടാമനും ആയിരുന്നു.

And Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of the house of God.യെഹിസ്കീയാരാജാവിന്റെയും ദൈവാലയപ്രമാണിയായ അസർയ്യാവിന്റെയും ആജ്ഞപ്രകാരം യെഹീയേൽ, അസസ്യാവു, നഹത്ത്, അസാഹേൽ, യെരീമോത്ത്, യോസാബാദ്, എലീയേൽ, യിസ്മഖ്യാവു, മഹത്ത്, ബെനായാവു എന്നിവർ കോനന്യാവിന്റെയും അവന്റെ അനുജൻ ശിമെയിയുടെയും കീഴിൽ വിചാരകന്മാരായിരുന്നു.

And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the gate keeper toward the east, was over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the oblations of the LORD, and the most holy things.കിഴക്കെ വാതിൽ കാവൽക്കാരനായി ലേവ്യനായ യിമ്നയുടെ മകനായ കോരേ യഹോവയുടെ വഴിപാടുകളെയും അതിവിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളെയും വിഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്നുള്ള ഔദാര്യദാനങ്ങൾക്കു മേൽവിചാരകനായിരുന്നു.

And next him were Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their set office, to give to their brethren by courses, as well to the great as to the small:അവന്റെ കീഴിൽ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാർക്കും, വലിയവർക്കും ചെറിയവർക്കും കൂറുകൂറായി കൊടുപ്പാൻ ഏദെൻ, മിന്യാമീൻ, യേശുവ, ശെമയ്യാവു, അമർയ്യാവു, ശെഖന്യാവു എന്നിവർ പുരോഹിതനഗരങ്ങളിൽ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്മാരായിരുന്നു.

Beside their genealogy of males, from three years old and upward, even unto every one that enters into the house of the LORD, his daily portion for their service in their charges according to their courses;മൂന്നു വയസ്സുമുതൽ മേലോട്ടു വംശാവലിയിൽ ചാർത്തപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന ആണുങ്ങളായി ഓരോ ദിവസത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യംപോലെ കൂറുക്കുറായി താന്താങ്ങളുടെ തവണെക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കായിട്ടു

Both to the genealogy of the priests by the house of their fathers, and the Levites from twenty years old and upward, in their charges by their courses;ആലയത്തിൽ വരുന്നവരെയും പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ വംശാവലിയിൽ പിതൃഭവനംപിതൃഭവനമായി ചാർത്തപ്പെട്ടവരെയും ഇരുപതു വയസ്സുമുതൽ മേലോട്ടു കൂറുക്കുറായി താന്താങ്ങളുടെ തവണമുറെക്കു ചാർത്തപ്പെട്ട ലേവ്യരെയും ഒഴിച്ചിരുന്നു.

And to the genealogy of all their little ones, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, through all the congregation: for in their set office they sanctified themselves in holiness:സർവ്വസഭയിലും അവരുടെ എല്ലാകുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളും ഭാര്യമാരും പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരുമായി വംശാവലിയിൽ ചാർത്തപ്പെട്ടവർക്കുംകൂടെ ഓഹരി കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതായിരുന്നു. അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഉദ്യോഗങ്ങൾക്കൊത്തവണ്ണം തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധിയിൽ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചുപോന്നു.

Also of the sons of Aaron the priests, which were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every several city, the men that were expressed by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all that were reckoned by genealogies among the Levites.പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ സകലപുരുഷപ്രജെക്കും ലേവ്യരിൽ വംശാവലിയായി ചാർത്തപ്പെട്ട എല്ലാവർക്കും ഓഹരികൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളുടെ പുല്പുറപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലെ അഹരോന്യരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കും ഓരോ പട്ടണത്തിൽ പേർവിവരം പറഞ്ഞിരുന്ന പുരുഷന്മാരുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and wrought that which was good and right and truth before the LORD his God.യെഹിസ്കീയാവു യെഹൂദയിൽ ഒക്കെയും ഇവ്വണ്ണം ചെയ്തു; തന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നന്മയും ന്യായവും സത്യവും ആയുള്ളതു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.

And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.അവൻ ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷ സംബന്ധിച്ചും ന്യായപ്രമാണവും കല്പനയും സംബന്ധിച്ചും തന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ അന്വേഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആരംഭിച്ച സകലപ്രവൃത്തിയിലും പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു കൃതാർത്ഥനായിരുന്നു.

2 Chronicles 32

After these things, and the establishment thereof, Sennacherib king of Assyria came, and entered into Judah, and encamped against the fenced cities, and thought to win them for himself.ഈ കാര്യങ്ങളും ഈ വിശ്വസ്തപ്രവൃത്തിയും കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ സൻ ഹേരീബ് വന്നു യെഹൂദയിൽ കടന്നു ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളെ നിരോധിച്ചു കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ വിചാരിച്ചു.

And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib was come, and that he was purposed to fight against Jerusalem,സൻ ഹേരീബ് വന്നു യെരൂശലേമിനെ ആക്രമിപ്പാൻ ഭാവിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യെഹിസ്കീയാവു കണ്ടിട്ടു

He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which were without the city: and they did help him.പട്ടണത്തിന്നു പുറത്തുള്ള ഉറവുകളിലെ വെള്ളം നിർത്തിക്കളയേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടും വീരന്മാരോടും ആലോചിച്ചു; അവർ അവനെ സഹായിച്ചു.

So there was gathered much people together, who stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?അങ്ങനെ വളരെ ജനം ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി; അശ്ശൂർരാജാക്കന്മാർ വന്നു വളരെ വെള്ളം കാണുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എല്ലാ ഉറവുകളും ദേശത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽകൂടി ഒഴുകിയ തോടും അടെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

Also he strengthened himself, and built up all the wall that was broken, and raised it up to the towers, and another wall without, and repaired Millo in the city of David, and made darts and shields in abundance.അവൻ ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടു, ഇടിഞ്ഞുപോയ മതിലൊക്കെയും പണിതു, ഗോപുരങ്ങളും പുറത്തു വേറൊരു മതിലും കെട്ടിപ്പൊക്കി. ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിലെ മില്ലോവിന്റെ കേടും പോക്കി, അനവധി കുന്തവും പരിചയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

And he set captains of war over the people, and gathered them together to him in the street of the gate of the city, and spoke comfortably to them, saying,അവൻ ജനത്തിന്നു പടനായകന്മാരെ നിയമിച്ചു. അവരെ നഗരവാതിൽക്കലുള്ള വിശാലസ്ഥലത്തു തന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂട്ടി അവരോടു ഹൃദ്യമായി സംസാരിച്ചു:

Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him:ഉറപ്പും ധൈര്യവും ഉള്ളവരായിരിപ്പിൻ; അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിനെയും അവനോടു കൂടെയുള്ള സകലപുരുഷാരത്തെയും ഭയപ്പെടരുതു; നിങ്ങൾ ഭ്രമിക്കരുതു; അവനോടുകൂടെയുള്ളതിലും വലിയൊരുവൻ നമ്മോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു.

With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.അവനോടുകൂടെ മാംസഭുജമേയുള്ളു; നമ്മോടുകൂടെയോ നമ്മെ സഹായിപ്പാനും നമ്മുടെ യുദ്ധങ്ങളെ നടത്തുവാനും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ജനം യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹിസ്കീയാവിന്റെ വാക്കുകളിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചു.

After this did Sennacherib king of Assyria send his servants to Jerusalem, (but he himself laid siege against Lachish, and all his power with him,) unto Hezekiah king of Judah, and unto all Judah that were at Jerusalem, saying,അനന്തരം അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ സൻ ഹേരീബ്--അവനും അവനോടുകൂടെയുള്ള സൈന്യമൊക്കെയും ലാഖീശിന്നരികെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു--തന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹിസ്കീയാവിന്റെയും യെരൂശലേമിലെ സകല യെഹൂദ്യരുടെയും അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചുപറയിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

Thus says Sennacherib king of Assyria, Whereon do all of you trust, that all of you abide in the siege in Jerusalem?അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ സൻ ഹേരീബ് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ യെരൂശലേമിൽ നിരോധം സഹിച്ചു പാർപ്പാൻ എന്തൊന്നിലാകുന്നു ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നതു?

Does not Hezekiah persuade you to give over yourselves to die by famine and by thirst, saying, The LORD our God shall deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നമ്മെ അശ്ശൂർരാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കും എന്നു യെഹിസ്കീയാവു പറഞ്ഞു വിശപ്പും ദാഹവുംകൊണ്ടു ചാകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ വശീകരിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

Has not the same Hezekiah taken away his high places and his altars, and commanded Judah and Jerusalem, saying, All of you shall worship before one altar, and burn incense upon it?അവന്റെ പൂജാഗിരികളും യാഗപീഠങ്ങളും നീക്കിക്കളകയും യെഹൂദയോടും യെരൂശലേമിനോടും നിങ്ങൾ ഒരേ പീഠത്തിന്നു മുമ്പിൽ നമസ്കരിച്ചു അതിന്മേൽ ധൂപം കാട്ടേണം എന്നു കല്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തതു ഈ യെഹിസ്കീയാവു തന്നേയല്ലോ.

Know all of you not what I and my fathers have done unto all the people of other lands? were the gods of the nations of those lands any ways able to deliver their lands out of mine hand?ഞാനും എന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും അതതു ദേശങ്ങളിലെ സകലജാതികളോടും എന്തു ചെയ്തുവെന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? ആ ദേശങ്ങളിലെ ജാതികളുടെ ദേവന്മാർക്കു തങ്ങളുടെ ദേശങ്ങളെ എന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിപ്പാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞുവോ?

Who was there among all the gods of those nations that my fathers utterly destroyed, that could deliver his people out of mine hand, that your God should be able to deliver you out of mine hand?എന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ നിർമ്മൂലനാശം വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്ന ജാതിയുടെ സകലദേവന്മാരിലുംവെച്ചു ഒരുവന്നും തന്റെ ജനത്തെ എന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിപ്പാൻ കഴിയാതിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ എന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിപ്പാൻ കഴിയുമോ?

Now therefore let not Hezekiah deceive you, nor persuade you on this manner, neither yet believe him: for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people out of mine hand, and out of the hand of my fathers: how much less shall your God deliver you out of mine hand?ആകയാൽ യെഹിസ്കീയാവു നിങ്ങളെ ചതിക്കരുതു; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളെ വശീകരിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ വിശ്വസിക്കയും അരുതു; യാതൊരു ജാതിയുടെയോ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെയോ ദേവന്നും തന്റെ ജനത്തെ എന്റെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നും എന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും വിടുവിപ്പാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല; പിന്നെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം നിങ്ങളെ എന്റെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു വിടുവിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

And his servants spoke yet more against the LORD God, and against his servant Hezekiah.അവന്റെ ദാസന്മാർ യഹോവയായ ദൈവത്തിന്നും അവന്റെ ദാസനായ യെഹിസ്കീയാവിന്നും വിരോധമായി പിന്നെയും അധികം സംസാരിച്ചു.

He wrote also letters to rail on the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people out of mine hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of mine hand.അതതു ദേശങ്ങളിലെ ജാതികളുടെ ദേവന്മാർ തങ്ങളുടെ ജനത്തെ എന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കാതിരുന്നതുപോലെ യെഹിസ്കീയാവിന്റെ ദൈവവും തന്റെ ജനത്തെ എന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കയില്ല എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നിന്ദിപ്പാനും അവന്നു വിരോധമായി സംസാരിപ്പാനും എഴുത്തും എഴുതി അയച്ചു.

Then they cried with a loud voice in the Jews' speech unto the people of Jerusalem that were on the wall, to affright them, and to trouble them; that they might take the city.പട്ടണം പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവർ യെരൂശലേമിൽ മതിലിന്മേൽ ഉള്ള ജനത്തെ പേടിപ്പിച്ചു ഭ്രമിപ്പിപ്പാൻ യെഹൂദ്യഭാഷയിൽ അവരോടു ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ചു,

And they spoke against the God of Jerusalem, as against the gods of the people of the earth, which were the work of the hands of man.മനുഷ്യരുടെ കൈപ്പണിയായ ജാതികളുടെ ദേവന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചെന്നപോലെ യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു സംസാരിച്ചു.

And for this cause Hezekiah the king, and the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven.ഇതുനിമിത്തം യെഹിസ്കീയാരാജാവും ആമോസിന്റെ മകനായ യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകനും പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലേക്കു നിലവിളിച്ചു.

And the LORD sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came out of his own bowels slew him there with the sword.അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ ഒരു ദൂതനെ അയച്ചു; അവൻ അശ്ശൂർ രാജാവിന്റെ പാളയത്തിലെ സകലപരാക്രമശാലികളെയും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും സേനാപതികളെയും സംഹരിച്ചു; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ ലജ്ജാമുഖത്തോടെ സ്വദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകേണ്ടിവന്നു; അവൻ തന്റെ ദേവന്റെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ചെന്നപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ഉദരത്തിൽനിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിച്ചവർ അവനെ അവിടെവെച്ചു വാൾകൊണ്ടു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

Thus the LORD saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all other, and guided them on every side.ഇങ്ങനെ യഹോവ യെഹിസ്കീയാവെയും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളെയും അശ്ശൂർരാജാവായ സൻഹേരീബിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും മറ്റെല്ലാവരുടെയും കയ്യിൽനിന്നും രക്ഷിച്ചു അവർക്കു ചുറ്റിലും വിശ്രമം നല്കി;

And many brought gifts unto the LORD to Jerusalem, and presents to Hezekiah king of Judah: so that he was magnified in the sight of all nations from thenceforth.പലരും യെരൂശലേമിൽ യഹോവെക്കു കാഴ്ചകളും യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹിസ്കീയാവിന്നു വിശേഷവസ്തുക്കളും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അവൻ അന്നുമുതൽ സകലജാതികളുടെയും ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ ഉന്നതനായിത്തീർന്നു.

In those days Hezekiah was sick to the death, and prayed unto the LORD: and he spoke unto him, and he gave him a sign.ആ കാലത്തു യെഹിസ്കീയാവിന്നു മരണകരമായ ദീനംപിടിച്ചു; അവൻ യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു; അതിന്നു അവൻ ഉത്തരം അരുളി ഒരു അടയാളവും കൊടുത്തു.

But Hezekiah rendered not again according to the benefit done unto him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem.എന്നാൽ യെഹിസ്കീയാവു തനിക്കു ലഭിച്ച ഉപകാരത്തിന്നു അടുത്തവണ്ണം നടക്കാതെ നിഗളിച്ചുപോയി; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെമേലും യെഹൂദയുടെ മേലും യെരൂശലേമിന്മേലും കോപം ഉണ്ടായി.

Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah.എങ്കിലും തന്റെ ഗർവ്വത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു യെഹിസ്കീയാവും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളും തങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ താഴ്ത്തി; അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ കോപം യെഹിസ്കീയാവിന്റെ കാലത്തു അവരുടെമേൽ വന്നില്ല.

And Hezekiah had exceeding much riches and honour: and he made himself treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all manner of pleasant jewels;യെഹിസ്കീയാവിന്നു അനവധി ധനവും മാനവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ വെള്ളി, പൊന്നു, രത്നം, സുഗന്ധ വർഗ്ഗം, പരിച സകലവിധമനോഹരവസ്തുക്കൾ എന്നിവെക്കായി ഭണ്ഡാരഗൃഹങ്ങളും

Storehouses also for the increase of corn, and wine, and oil; and stalls for all manner of beasts, and cotes for flocks.ധാന്യം, വീഞ്ഞ്, എണ്ണ എന്ന അനുഭവങ്ങൾക്കായി പാണ്ടികശാലകളും സകലവിധ മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കും പുരകളും ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടങ്ങൾക്കു തൊഴുത്തുകളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

Moreover he provided him cities, and possessions of flocks and herds in abundance: for God had given him substance very much.ദൈവം അവന്നു അനവധി സമ്പത്തു കൊടുത്തിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ പട്ടണങ്ങളെയും ആടുമാടുകൂട്ടങ്ങളെയും വളരെ സമ്പാദിച്ചു.

This same Hezekiah also stopped the upper watercourse of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah prospered in all his works.ഈ യെഹിസ്കീയാവു തന്നേ ഗീഹോൻ വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ മേലത്തെ ഒഴുക്കു തടുത്തു ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിന്റെ പടിഞ്ഞാറെ ഭാഗത്തു താഴോട്ടു വരുത്തി. അങ്ങനെ യെഹിസ്കീയാവു തന്റെ സകല പ്രവർത്തികളിലും കൃതാർത്ഥനായിരുന്നു.

Nevertheless in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.എങ്കിലും ദേശത്തിൽ സംഭവിച്ചിരുന്ന അതിശയത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ചോദിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ബാബേൽ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ച ദൂതന്മാരുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലുള്ളതൊക്കെയും അറിവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവനെ പരീക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവം അവനെ വിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു.

Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his goodness, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.യെഹിസ്കീയാവിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവന്റെ സൽപ്രവൃത്തികളും ആമോസിന്റെ മകനായ യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകന്റെ ദർശനത്തിലും യെഹൂദയിലെയും യിസ്രായേലിലെയും രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിലും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the chiefest of the sepulchers of the sons of David: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honour at his death. And Manasseh his son reigned in his position.യെഹിസ്കീയാവു തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ കല്ലറകളിലേക്കുള്ള കയറ്റത്തിങ്കൽ അവനെ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മരണസമയത്തു എല്ലായെഹൂദയും യെരൂശലേം നിവാസികളും അവനെ ബഹുമാനിച്ചു. അവന്റെ മകനായ മനശ്ശെ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.

2 Chronicles 33

Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem:മനശ്ശെ വാഴ്ച തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്നു പന്ത്രണ്ടു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അമ്പത്തഞ്ചു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു.

But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.യഹോവ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞ ജാതികളുടെ മ്ളേച്ഛതകളെപ്പോലെ അവൻ യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു.

For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.അവൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ യെഹിസ്കീയാവു ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരുന്ന പൂജാഗിരികളെ വീണ്ടും പണിതു, ബാൽവിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്കു ബലിപീഠങ്ങളെ തീർത്തു, അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠകളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി, ആകാശത്തിലെ സർവ്വസൈന്യത്തെയും നമസ്കരിച്ചു സേവിച്ചു.

Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.യെരൂശലേമിൽ എന്റെ നാമം ഇരിക്കുമെന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലും അവൻ ബലിപീഠങ്ങൾ പണിതു;

And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD.യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പ്രാകാരം രണ്ടിലും അവൻ ആകാശത്തിലെ സൈന്യത്തിന്നു ബലിപീഠങ്ങൾ പണിതു.

And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.അവൻ തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ ബെൻ-ഹിന്നോം താഴ്വരയിൽ അഗ്നിപ്രവേശം ചെയ്യിച്ചു; മുഹുർത്തം നോക്കി, ആഭിചാരങ്ങളും ക്ഷുദ്രങ്ങളും പ്രയോഗിച്ചു, വെളിച്ചപ്പാടന്മാരെയും ലക്ഷണം പറയുന്നവരെയും നിയമിച്ചു, യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു പലതും ചെയ്തു അവനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു.

And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:താൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ വിഗ്രഹപ്രതിമയെ അവൻ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു; ഈ ആലയത്തെക്കുറിച്ചോ: ഈ ആലയത്തിലും ഞാൻ എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേൽഗോത്രങ്ങളിലും നിന്നു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന യെരൂശലേമിലും ഞാൻ എന്റെ നാമം എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥാപിക്കും എന്നും

Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.ഞാൻ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം യിസ്രായേലിനോടു കല്പിച്ച സകലന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെയും ചട്ടങ്ങളെയും ന്യായങ്ങളെയും അനുസരിച്ചുനടപ്പാൻ അവർ സൂക്ഷിക്കുമെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കായി നിശ്ചയിച്ച ദേശത്തുനിന്നു അവരുടെ കാൽ ഞാൻ ഇനി നീക്കിക്കളകയില്ല എന്നും ദൈവം ദാവീദിനോടും അവന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.

So Manasseh made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go astray, and to do worse than the heathen, whom the LORD had destroyed before the children of Israel.അങ്ങനെ മനശ്ശെ യഹോവ യിസ്രായേൽ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ച ജാതികൾ ചെയ്തതിലും അധികം വഷളത്വം പ്രവർത്തിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം യെഹൂദയെയും യെരൂശലേം നിവാസികളെയും തെറ്റുമാറാക്കി.

And the LORD spoke to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken.യഹോവ മനശ്ശെയോടും അവന്റെ ജനത്തോടും സംസാരിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും അവർ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചില്ല.

Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.ആകയാൽ യഹോവ അശ്ശൂർ രാജാവിന്റെ സേനാധിപതിമാരെ അവരുടെ നേരെ വരുത്തി; അവർ മനശ്ശെയെ കൊളുത്തുകളാൽ പിടിച്ചു ചങ്ങലയിട്ടു ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,കഷ്ടത്തിൽ ആയപ്പോൾ അവൻ തന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു. തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ തന്നെത്താൻ ഏറ്റവും താഴ്ത്തി അവനോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

And prayed unto him: and he was implored of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.അവൻ അവന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കൈക്കൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ യാചന കേട്ടു അവനെ വീണ്ടും യെരൂശലേമിൽ അവന്റെ രാജത്വത്തിന്നു തിരിച്ചു വരുത്തി; യഹോവതന്നേ ദൈവം എന്നു മനശ്ശെക്കു ബോധമായി.

Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah.അതിന്റെശേഷം അവൻ ഗീഹോന്നു പടിഞ്ഞാറു താഴ്വരയിൽ മീൻ വാതിലിന്റെ പ്രവേശനംവരെ ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിന്നു ഒരു പുറമതിൽ പണിതു; അവൻ അതു ഓഫേലിന്നു ചുറ്റും വളരെ പൊക്കത്തിൽ പണിയുകയും യെഹൂദയിലെ ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ സേനാധിപന്മാരെ പാർപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽനിന്നു അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെയും വിഗ്രഹത്തെയും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം നില്ക്കുന്ന പർവ്വതത്തിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും താൻ പണിതിരുന്ന സകലബലിപീഠങ്ങളെയും നീക്കി നഗരത്തിന്നു പുറത്തു എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു.

And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠം നന്നാക്കി, അതിന്മേൽ സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങളും അർപ്പിച്ചു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ സേവിപ്പാൻ യെഹൂദയോടു കല്പിച്ചു.

Nevertheless the people did sacrifice still in the high places, yet unto the LORD their God only.എന്നാൽ ജനം പൂജാഗിരികളിൽ യാഗം കഴിച്ചുപോന്നു; എങ്കിലും തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു അത്രേ.

His prayer also, and how God was implored of him, and all his sins, and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they are written among the sayings of the seers.അവന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയും ദൈവം അവന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേട്ടതും അവൻ തന്നെത്താൻ താഴ്ത്തിയതിന്നു മുമ്പെയുള്ള അവന്റെ സകല പാപവും അകൃത്യവും അവൻ പൂജാഗിരികളെ പണികയും അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠകളെയും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കയും ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലങ്ങളും ദർശകന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

But he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as did Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them;അവൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ മനശ്ശെ ചെയ്തതു പോലെ യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു, തന്റെ അപ്പനായ മനശ്ശെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ സകല വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്കും ആമോൻ ബലികഴിച്ചു അവയെ സേവിച്ചു.

And humbled not himself before the LORD, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but Amon trespassed more and more.തന്റെ അപ്പനായ മനശ്ശെ തന്നെത്താൻ യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ താഴ്ത്തിയതുപോലെ അവൻ തന്നെത്താൻ താഴ്ത്തിയില്ല; ആമോൻ മേല്ക്കുമേൽ അകൃത്യം ചെയ്തതേയുള്ളു.

And his servants conspired against him, and slew him in his own house.അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ അവന്റെ നേരെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി അവനെ അവന്റെ നേരെ അരമനയിൽവെച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

But the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his position.എന്നാൽ ദേശത്തെ ജനം ആമോൻ രാജാവിന്റെ നേരെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കിയവരെയൊക്കെയും കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു; ദേശത്തെ ജനം അവന്റെ മകനായ യോശീയാവെ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവാക്കി.
