Joshua 18

And the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them.അനന്തരം യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ സഭ മുഴുവനും ശീലോവിൽ ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി അവിടെ സമാഗമനക്കുടാരം നിർത്തി; ദേശം അവർക്കു കീഴടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.

And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance.എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിൽ അവകാശം ഭാഗിച്ചു കിട്ടാതിരുന്ന ഏഴു ഗോത്രങ്ങൾ ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്നു.

And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are all of you slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers has given you?യോശുവ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ പോകുന്നതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ എത്രത്തോളം മടിച്ചിരിക്കും?

Give out from among you three men for each tribe: and I will send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me.ഓരോ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു മുമ്മൂന്നു പേരെ നിയമിപ്പിൻ; ഞാൻ അവരെ അയക്കും; അവർ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ദേശത്തുകൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു തങ്ങൾക്കു അവകാശം കിട്ടേണ്ടുംപ്രകാരം കണ്ടെഴുതി എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവരേണം.

And they shall divide it into seven parts: Judah shall abide in their coast on the south, and the house of Joseph shall abide in their coasts on the north.അതു ഏഴു പങ്കായി ഭാഗിക്കേണം: യെഹൂദാ തന്റെ അതിർക്കകത്തു തെക്കു പാർത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ; യോസേഫിന്റെ കുലവും തന്റെ അതിർക്കകത്തു വടക്കു പാർത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ.

All of you shall therefore describe the land into seven parts, and bring the description here to me, that I may cast lots for you here before the LORD our God.അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ ദേശം ഏഴുഭാഗമായി കണ്ടെഴുതി ഇവിടെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ. ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽവെച്ചു നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ചീട്ടിടും.

But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them.ലേവ്യർക്കു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഓഹരി ഇല്ലല്ലോ; യഹോവയുടെ പൌരോഹിത്യം അവരുടെ അവകാശം ആകുന്നു; ഗാദും രൂബേനും മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രവും യഹോവയുടെ ദാസനായ മോശെ അവർക്കു കൊടുത്തിട്ടുള്ള അവകാശം യോർദ്ദാന്നു കിഴക്കു വാങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

And the men arose, and went away: and Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me, that I may here cast lots for you before the LORD in Shiloh.അങ്ങനെ ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ യാത്ര പുറപ്പെട്ടു; ദേശം കണ്ടെഴുതുവാൻ പോയവരോടു യോശുവ: നിങ്ങൾ ചെന്നു ദേശത്തുകൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു കണ്ടെഴുതുകയും ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ ശീലോവിൽ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽവെച്ചു നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ചീട്ടിടേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവരികയും ചെയ്‍വിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven parts in a book, and came again to Joshua to the host at Shiloh.അവർ പോയി ദേശത്തുകൂടി കടന്നു നഗരവിവരത്തോടുകൂടെ ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തിൽ അതു ഏഴു ഭാഗമായി എഴുതി ശീലോവിൽ യോശുവയുടെ അടുക്കൽ പാളയത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു.

And Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD: and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions.അപ്പോൾ യോശുവ ശീലോവിൽ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽവെച്ചു അവർക്കു വേണ്ടി ചീട്ടിട്ടു; അവിടെവെച്ചു യോശുവ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കു ഗോത്രവിഭാഗപ്രകാരം ദേശം വിഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

And the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families: and the coast of their lot came forth between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.ബെന്യാമീൻ മക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി നറുക്കു വന്നു; അവരുടെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ അതിർ യെഹൂദയുടെ മക്കളുടെയും യോസേഫിന്റെ മക്കളുടെയും മദ്ധ്യേ കിടക്കുന്നു.

And their border on the north side was from Jordan; and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north side, and went up through the mountains westward; and the activities out thereof were at the wilderness of Bethaven.വടക്കുഭാഗത്തു അവരുടെ വടക്കെ അതിർ യോർദ്ദാങ്കൽ തുടങ്ങി വടക്കു യെരീഹോവിന്റെ പാർശ്വംവരെ ചെന്നു പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടു മലനാട്ടിൽകൂടി കയറി ബേത്ത്-ആവെൻ മരുഭൂമിയിങ്കൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.

And the border went over from thence toward Luz, to the side of Luz, which is Bethel, southward; and the border descended to Atarothadar, near the hill that lies on the south side of the nether Bethhoron.അവിടെനിന്നു ആ അതിർ ബേഥേൽ എന്ന ലൂസിന്റെ തെക്കുവശംവരെ കടന്നു താഴത്തെ ബേത്ത്-ഹോരോന്റെ തെക്കുവശത്തുള്ള മലവഴിയായി അതെരോത്ത്-അദാരിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങുന്നു.

And the border was drawn thence, and compassed the corner of the sea southward, from the hill that lies before Bethhoron southward; and the activities out thereof were at Kirjathbaal, which is Kirjathjearim, a city of the children of Judah: this was the west quarter.പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ വളഞ്ഞു പടിഞ്ഞാറെ വശത്തു ബേത്ത്-ഹോരോന്നു എതിരെയുള്ള മലമുതൽ തെക്കോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞു യെഹൂദാമക്കളുടെ പട്ടണമായ കിർയ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീം എന്ന കിർയ്യത്ത്-ബാലയിങ്കൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു. ഇതു തന്നെ പടിഞ്ഞാറെ ഭാഗം

And the south quarter was from the end of Kirjathjearim, and the border went out on the west, and went out to the well of waters of Nephtoah:തെക്കെഭാഗം കിർയ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീമിന്റെ അറ്റത്തുള്ള തുടങ്ങി പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടു നെപ്തോഹവെള്ളത്തിന്റെ ഉറവുവരെ ചെല്ലുന്നു.

And the border came down to the end of the mountain that lies before the valley of the son of Hinnom, and which is in the valley of the giants on the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on the south, and descended to Enrogel,പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ ബെൻ-ഹിന്നോംതാഴ്വരക്കെതിരെയും രെഫായീംതാഴ്വരയുടെ വടക്കുവശത്തും ഉള്ള മലയുടെ അറ്റംവരെ ചെന്നു ഹിന്നോംതാഴ്വരയിൽ കൂടി തെക്കോട്ടു യെബൂസ്യപർവ്വതത്തിന്റെ പാർശ്വംവരെയും ഏൻ-രോഗേൽവരെയും ഇറങ്ങി

And was drawn from the north, and went forth to Enshemesh, and went forth toward Geliloth, which is opposite to the going up of Adummim, and descended to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben,വടക്കോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞു ഏൻ-ശേമെശിലേക്കും അദുമ്മീംകയറ്റത്തിന്നെതിരെയുള്ള ഗെലീലോത്തിലേക്കും ചെന്നു രൂബേന്റെ മകനായ ബോഹാന്റെ കല്ലുവരെ ഇറങ്ങി

And passed along toward the side opposite to Arabah northward, and went down unto Arabah:അരാബെക്കെതിരെയുള്ള മലഞ്ചരിവിലേക്കു കടന്നു അരാബയിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു.

And the border passed along to the side of Bethhoglah northward: and the utmost limit of the border were at the north bay of the salt sea at the south end of Jordan: this was the south coast.പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ വടക്കോട്ടു ബേത്ത്-ഹൊഗ്ളയുടെ മലഞ്ചരിവുവരെ കടന്നു തെക്കു യോർദ്ദാന്റെ അഴിമുഖത്തു ഉപ്പുകടലിന്റെ വടക്കെ അറ്റത്തു അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.

And Jordan was the border of it on the east side. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the coasts thereof round about, according to their families.ഇതു തെക്കെ അതിർ, അതിന്റെ കിഴക്കെ അതിർ യോർദ്ദാൻ ആകുന്നു; ഇതു ബെന്യാമീൻ മക്കൾക്കു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള അതിരുകൾ.

Now the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, and Bethhoglah, and the valley of Keziz,എന്നാൽ ബെന്യാമീൻ മക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ: യെരീഹോ, ബേത്ത്-ഹൊഗ്ള, ഏമെക്-കെയെരീഹോ, ബേത്ത്-ഹെഗ്ള, ഏമെക്-കെസീസ്,

And Betharabah, and Zemaraim, and Bethel,ബേത്ത്-അരാബ, സെമാറയീം, ബേഥേൽ,

And Avim, and Pharah, and Ophrah,അവ്വീം, പാര, ഒഫ്ര,

And Chepharhaammonai, and Ophni, and Gaba; twelve cities with their villages:കെഫാർ-അമ്മോനീ, ഒഫ്നി, ഗേബ; ഇങ്ങനെ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും;

Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,ഗിബെയോൻ, രാമ, ബേരോത്ത്,

And Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,മിസ്പെ, കെഫീര, മോസ,

²⁷

And Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,രേക്കെം, യിർപ്പേൽ, തരല,

²⁸

And Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi, which is Jerusalem, Gibeath, and Kirjath; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families.സേല, ഏലെഫ്, യെരൂശാലേം എന്ന യെബൂസ്യനഗരം, ശിബെയത്ത്, കിർയ്യത്ത്; ഇങ്ങനെ പതിന്നാലു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും ഇതു ബെന്യാമീൻ മക്കൾക്കു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശം.

Joshua 19

And the second lot came forth to Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families: and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Judah.രണ്ടാമത്തെ നറുക്കു ശിമെയോന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി ശിമെയോൻമക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു വന്നു; അവരുടെ അവകാശം യെഹൂദാമക്കളുടെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു.

And they had in their inheritance Beersheba, and Sheba, and Moladah,അവർക്കു തങ്ങളുടെ അവകാശത്തിൽ

And Hazarshual, and Balah, and Azem,ബേർ-ശേബ, ശേബ, മോലാദ,

And Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah,ഹസർ-ശൂവാൽ, ബാലാ, ഏസെം, എല്തോലദ്, ബേഥൂൽ, ഹൊർമ്മ, സിക്ളാഗ്, ബേത്ത്-മർക്കാബോത്ത്,

And Ziklag, and Bethmarcaboth, and Hazarsusah,ഹസർ-സൂസ, ബേത്ത്-ലെബായോത്ത്- ശാരൂഹെൻ;

And Bethlebaoth, and Sharuhen; thirteen cities and their villages:ഇങ്ങനെ പതിമൂന്നു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും

Ain, Remmon, and Ether, and Ashan; four cities and their villages:അയീൻ, രിമ്മോൻ, ഏഥെർ, ആശാൻ; ഇങ്ങനെ നാലു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും;

And all the villages that were round about these cities to Baalathbeer, Ramath of the south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families.ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങൾക്കു ചുറ്റം തെക്കെ ദേശത്തിലെ രാമ എന്ന ബാലത്ത്-ബേർവരെയുള്ള സകലഗ്രാമങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഇതു ശിമെയോൻമക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശം.

Out of the portion of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon: for the part of the children of Judah was too much for them: therefore the children of Simeon had their inheritance within the inheritance of them.ശിമെയോൻമക്കളുടെ അവകാശം യെഹൂദാമക്കളുടെ ഓഹരിയിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു; യെഹൂദാമക്കളുടെ ഓഹരി അവർക്കു അധികമായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവരുടെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ ശിമെയോൻമക്കൾക്കു അവകാശം ലഭിച്ചു.

And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families: and the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid:സെബൂലൂൻ മക്കൾക്കു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി മൂന്നാമത്തെ നറുക്കു വന്നു; അവരുടെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ അതിർ സാരീദ്വരെ ആയിരുന്നു.

And their border went up toward the sea, and Maralah, and reached to Dabbasheth, and reached to the river that is before Jokneam;അവരുടെ അതിർ പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടു മരലയിലേക്കു കയറി ദബ്ബേശെത്ത്‌വരെ ചെന്നു യൊക്നെയാമിന്നെതിരെയുള്ള തോടുവരെ എത്തുന്നു.

And turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising unto the border of Chislothtabor, and then goes out to Daberath, and goes up to Japhia,സാരീദിൽനിന്നു അതു കിഴക്കോട്ടു സൂര്യോദയത്തിന്റെ നേരെ കിസ്ളോത്ത് താബോരിന്റെ അതിരിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു ദാബെരത്തിന്നു ചെന്നു യാഫീയയിലേക്കു കയറുന്നു.

And from thence passes on along on the east to Gittahhepher, to Ittahkazin, and goes out to Remmonmethoar to Neah;അവിടെനിന്നു കിഴക്കോട്ടു ഗത്ത്-ഹേഫെരിലേക്കും ഏത്ത്-കാസീനിലേക്കും കടന്നു നേയാവരെ നീണ്ടുകിടക്കുന്ന രിമ്മോനിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുന്നു.

And the border compasses it on the north side to Hannathon: and the utmost limit thereof are in the valley of Jiphthahel:പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ ഹന്നാഥോന്റെ വടക്കുവശത്തു തിരിഞ്ഞു യിഫ്താഹ്-ഏൽതാഴ്വരയിൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.

And Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.കത്താത്ത്, നഹല്ലാൽ, ശിമ്രോൻ, യിദല, ബേത്ത്-ലേഹെം മുതലായ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും അവർക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.ഇതു സെബൂലൂൻ മക്കൾക്കു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശമായ പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും തന്നേ.

And the fourth lot came out to Issachar, for the children of Issachar according to their families.നാലാമത്തെ നറുക്കു യിസ്സാഖാരിന്നു, കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി യിസ്സാഖാർമക്കൾക്കു തന്നേ വന്നു.

And their border was toward Jezreel, and Chesulloth, and Shunem,അവരുടെ ദേശം യിസ്രെയേൽ, കെസുല്ലോത്ത്,

¹⁹

And Haphraim, and Shihon, and Anaharath,ശൂനേം, ഹഫാരയീം, ശീയോൻ,

And Rabbith, and Kishion, and Abez,അനാഹരാത്ത്, രബ്ബീത്ത്, കിശ്യോൻ,

And Remeth, and Engannim, and Enhaddah, and Bethpazzez;ഏബെസ്, രേമെത്ത്, ഏൻ-ഗന്നീം, ഏൻ-ഹദ്ദ, ബേത്ത്-പസ്സേസ് എന്നിവ ആയിരുന്നു.

And the coast reachs to Tabor, and Shahazimah, and Bethshemesh; and the utmost limit of their border were at Jordan: sixteen cities with their villages.അവരുടെ അതിർ താബോർ, ശഹസൂമ, ബേത്ത്-ശേമെശ്, എന്നിവയിൽ എത്തി യോർദ്ദാങ്കൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ പതിനാറു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages.ഇതു യിസ്സാഖാർമക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശം; ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും തന്നേ.

And the fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.ആശേർമക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി അഞ്ചാമത്തെ നറുക്കു വന്നു.

And their border was Helkath, and Hali, and Beten, and Achshaph,അവരുടെ ദേശം ഹെല്കത്ത്, ഹലി, ബേതെൻ,

²⁶

And Alammelech, and Amad, and Misheal; and reachs to Carmel westward, and to Shihorlibnath;അക്ശാഫ്, അല്ലമ്മേലെക്, അമാദ്, മിശാൽ എന്നിവ ആയിരുന്നു; അതു പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടു കർമ്മേലും ശീഹോർ-ലിബ്നാത്തുംവരെ എത്തി,

And turns toward the sunrising to Bethdagon, and reachs to Zebulun, and to the valley of Jiphthahel toward the north side of Bethemek, and Neiel, and goes out to Cabul on the left hand,സൂര്യോദയത്തിന്റെ നേരെ ബേത്ത്-ദാഗോനിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു വടക്കു സെബൂലൂനിലും ബേത്ത്-ഏമെക്കിലും നെയീയേലിലും യിഫ്താഹ്-ഏൽതാഴ്വരയിലും എത്തി ഇടത്തോട്ടു കാബൂൽ,

And Hebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, even unto great Zidon;ഹെബ്രോൻ, രെഹോബ്, ഹമ്മോൻ, കാനാ, എന്നിവയിലും മഹാനഗരമായ സീദോൻ വരെയും ചെല്ലുന്നു.

And then the coast turns to Ramah, and to the strong city Tyre; and the coast turns to Hosah; and the utmost limit thereof are at the sea from the coast to Achzib:പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ രാമയിലേക്കും ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണമായ സോരിലേക്കും തിരിയുന്നു. പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ ഹോസയിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു സക്സീബ് ദേശത്തു സമുദ്രത്തിങ്കൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.

Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty and two cities with their villages.ഉമ്മ, അഫേക്, രെഹോബ് മുതലായ ഇരുപത്തുരണ്ടു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും അവർക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.ഇതു ആശേർമക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശം; ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും തന്നേ.

The sixth lot came out to the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families.ആറാമത്തെ നറുക്കു നഫ്താലിമക്കൾക്കു, കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി നഫ്താലിമക്കൾക്കു തന്നേ വന്നു.

And the fenced cities are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth,ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളായ സിദ്ദീം, സേർ, ഹമ്മത്ത്,

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities and their villages.ഇവ നഫ്താലിമക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശത്തിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളും ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും തന്നേ.

And the seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families.ദാൻമക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി ഏഴാമത്തെ നറുക്കു വന്നു.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities with their villages.ഇതു ദാൻമക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശപട്ടണങ്ങളും ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും ആകുന്നു.

When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them:അവർ ദേശത്തെ അതിർ തിരിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവെക്കും തങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു അവകാശം കൊടുത്തു.

According to the word of the LORD they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnathserah in mount Ephraim: and he built the city, and dwelt therein.അവൻ ചോദിച്ച പട്ടണമായി എഫ്രയീംമലനാട്ടിലുള്ള തിമ്നത്ത്-സേരഹ് അവർ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം അവന്നു കൊടുത്തു; അവൻ ആ പട്ടണം പണിതു അവിടെ പാർത്തു.

These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. Joshua 20

The LORD also spoke unto Joshua, saying,പിന്നെ യഹോവ യോശുവയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു:

Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Appoint out for you cities of refuge, whereof I spoke unto you by the hand of Moses:നീ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: അറിയാതെ അബദ്ധവശാൽ ഒരാളെ കൊന്നുപോയവൻ ഓടിപ്പോയി ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ മോശെ മുഖാന്തരം നിങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ച സങ്കേതനഗരങ്ങൾ നിശ്ചയിപ്പിൻ.

That the slayer that kills any person unexpectedly and unwittingly may flee thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood.രക്തപ്രതികാരകൻ കൊല്ലാതിരിപ്പാൻ അവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു സങ്കേതമായിരിക്കേണം.

And when he that does flee unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of the gate of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them.ആ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നിലേക്കു ഓടിച്ചെല്ലുന്നവൻ പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ പടിവാതിൽക്കൽ നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു തന്റെ കാര്യം പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരെ അറിയിക്കുകയും അവർ അവനെ പട്ടണത്തിൽ കൈക്കൊണ്ടു തങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ പാർക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്നു ഒരു സ്ഥലം കൊടുക്കയും വേണം.

And if the avenger of blood pursue after him, then they shall not deliver the slayer up into his hand; because he stroke his neighbour unwittingly, and hated him not in time past.രക്തപ്രതികാരകൻ അവനെ പിന്തുടർന്നുചെന്നാൽ കുലചെയ്തവൻ മനസ്സറിയാതെയും പൂർവ്വദ്വേഷം കൂടാതെയും തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ കൊന്നു പോയതാകയാൽ അവർ അവനെ അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കരുതു.

And he shall dwell in that city, until he stand before the congregation for judgment, and until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days: then shall the slayer return, and come unto his own city, and unto his own house, unto the city from whence he fled.അവൻ സഭയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ വിസ്താരത്തിന്നു നില്ക്കുംവരെയോ അന്നുള്ള പുരോഹിതന്റെ മരണംവരെയോ ആ പട്ടണത്തിൽ പാർക്കേണം; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം കുലചെയ്തവന്നു താൻ വിട്ടോടിപ്പോന്ന സ്വന്ത പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കും തന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കും മടങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലാം.

And they appointed Kedesh in Galilee in mount Naphtali, and Shechem in mount Ephraim, and Kirjatharba, which is Hebron, in the mountain of Judah.അങ്ങനെ അവർ നഫ്താലിമലനാട്ടിൽ ഗലീലയിലെ കേദെശും എഫ്രയീംമലനാട്ടിൽ ശെഖേമും യെഹൂദാമല നാട്ടിൽ ഹെബ്രോൻ എന്ന കിർയ്യത്ത്-അർബ്ബയും

And on the other side Jordan by Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness upon the plain out of the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead out of the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan out of the tribe of Manasseh.കിഴക്കു യെരീഹോവിന്നെതിരെ യോർദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ രൂബേൻ ഗോത്രത്തിൽ സമഭൂമിയിലുള്ള ബേസെരും ഗിലെയാദിൽ ഗാദ്ഗോത്രത്തിൽ രാമോത്തും ബാശാനിൽ മനശ്ശെഗോത്രത്തിൽ ഗോലാനും നിശ്ചയിച്ചു.

These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourns among them, that whosoever kills any person at unexpectedly might flee thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation.അബദ്ധവശാൽ ഒരുത്തനെ കൊന്നുപോയവൻ സഭയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്ക്കുംവരെ രക്തപ്രതികാരകന്റെ കയ്യാൽ മരിക്കാതെ ഓടിപ്പോയി ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യിസ്രയേൽമക്കൾക്കൊക്കെയും അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ വന്നുപാർക്കുന്ന പരദേശിക്കും വേണ്ടി നിശ്ചയിച്ച പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ഇവ തന്നെ.

Joshua 21

Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel;അനന്തരം ലേവ്യരുടെ കുടുംബത്തലവന്മാർ പുരോഹിതനായ എലെയാസാരിന്റെയും നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവയുടെയും യിസ്രായേൽഗോത്രങ്ങളിലെ കുടുംബത്തലവന്മാരുടെയും അടുക്കൽ വന്നു.

And they spoke unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle.കനാൻ ദേശത്തു ശീലോവിൽവെച്ചു അവരോടു: യഹോവ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു പാർപ്പാൻ പട്ടണങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങളുടെ കന്നുകാലികൾക്കു പുല്പുറങ്ങളും തരുവാൻ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of the LORD, these cities and their suburbs.എന്നാറെ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ തങ്ങളുടെ അവകാശത്തിൽനിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും ലേവ്യർക്കു കൊടുത്തു.

And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, which were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.കെഹാത്യരുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്കു വന്ന നറുക്കുപ്രകാരം ലേവ്യരിൽ പുരോഹിതനായ അഹരോന്റെ മക്കൾക്കു യെഹൂദാഗോത്രത്തിലും ശിമെയോൻ ഗോത്രത്തിലും ബെന്യാമീൻ ഗോത്രത്തിലും കൂടെ പതിമ്മൂന്നു പട്ടണം കിട്ടി.

And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.കെഹാത്തിന്റെ ശേഷംമക്കൾക്കു എഫ്രയീംഗോത്രത്തിലും ദാൻഗോത്രത്തിലും മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രത്തിലും നറുക്കുപ്രകാരം പത്തുപട്ടണം കിട്ടി.

And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.ഗേർശോന്റെ മക്കൾക്കു യിസ്സാഖാർ ഗോത്രത്തിലും ബാശാനിലെ മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രത്തിലും നറുക്കുപ്രകാരം പതിമ്മൂന്നു പട്ടണംകിട്ടി.

The children of Merari by their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.മെരാരിയുടെ മക്കൾക്കു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി രൂബേൻ ഗോത്രത്തിലും ഗാദ്ഗോത്രത്തിലും സെബൂലൂൻ ഗോത്രത്തിലും കൂടെ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പട്ടണം കിട്ടി.

And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.യഹോവ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ലേവ്യർക്കു ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും നറുക്കു പ്രകാരം കൊടുത്തു.

Anathoth with her suburbs, and Almon with her suburbs; four cities.ഗേബയും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും അനാഥോത്തും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും അൽമോനും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും ഇങ്ങനെ നാലു പട്ടണവും കൊടുത്തു.

All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their suburbs.അഹരോന്റെ മക്കളായ പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കു എല്ലാംകൂടി പതിമ്മൂന്നു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും കിട്ടി.

And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites which remained of the children of Kohath, even they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.കെഹാത്തിന്റെ ശേഷം മക്കളായ ലേവ്യർക്കു, കെഹാത്യ കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നേ, നറുക്കു പ്രകാരം കിട്ടിയ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ എഫ്രയീംഗോത്രത്തിൽ ആയിരുന്നു.

For they gave them Shechem with her suburbs in mount Ephraim, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Gezer with her suburbs,എഫ്രയീംനാട്ടിൽ, കുലചെയ്തവന്നു സങ്കേതനഗരമായ ശെഖേമും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും ഗേസെരും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും

And out of the half tribe of Manasseh, Tanach with her suburbs, and Gathrimmon with her suburbs; two cities.മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രത്തിൽ താനാക്കും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും ഗത്ത്-രിമ്മോനും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും ഇങ്ങനെ രണ്ടു പട്ടണവും അവർക്കു കൊടുത്തു.

All the cities were ten with their suburbs for the families of the children of Kohath that remained.ഇങ്ങനെ കെഹാത്തിന്റെ ശേഷം മക്കളുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്കു എല്ലാംകൂടി പത്തു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും കിട്ടി.

And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the other half tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Beeshterah with her suburbs; two cities.ലേവ്യരുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളിൽ ഗേർശോന്റെ മക്കൾക്കു മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രത്തിൽ, കുലചെയ്തവന്നു സങ്കേതനഗരമായ ബാശാനിലെ ഗോലാനും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും ബെയെസ്തെരയും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും

And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with her suburbs, Abdon with her suburbs,ആശേർഗോത്രത്തിൽ മിശാലും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും അബ്ദോനും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും

Helkath with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs; four cities.ഹെൽക്കത്തും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും രെഹോബും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും ഇങ്ങനെ നാലു പട്ടണവും,

And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Hammothdor with her suburbs, and Kartan with her suburbs; three cities.നഫ്താലിഗോത്രത്തിൽ, കുലചെയ്തവന്നു സങ്കേതനഗരമായ ഗലീലയിലെ കേദെശും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും ഹമ്മോത്ത്-ദോരും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും കർത്ഥാനും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും ഇങ്ങനെ മൂന്നു പട്ടണവും കൊടുത്തു.

All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with their suburbs.ഗേർശോന്യർക്കു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി എല്ലാംകൂടി പതിമ്മൂന്നു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും കിട്ടി.

And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with her suburbs, and Kartah with her suburbs,ശേഷം ലേവ്യരിൽ മെരാർയ്യകുടുംബങ്ങൾക്കു സെബൂലൂൻ ഗോത്രത്തിൽ യൊക്നെയാമും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും കർത്ഥയും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും

Dimnah with her suburbs, Nahalal with her suburbs; four cities.ദിമ്നിയും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും നഹലാലും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും ഇങ്ങനെ നാലു പട്ടണവും

And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with her suburbs, and Jahazah with her suburbs,രൂബേൻ ഗോത്രത്തിൽ ബേസെരും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും

Kedemoth with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs; four cities.യഹ്സയും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും കെദേമോത്തും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും മേഫാത്തും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും ഇങ്ങനെ നാലു പട്ടണവും,

And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Mahanaim with her suburbs,ഗാദ്ഗോത്രത്തിൽ, കുലചെയ്തവന്നു സങ്കേതനഗരമായ ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും മഹനയീമും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും

Heshbon with her suburbs, Jazer with her suburbs; four cities in all.ഹെശ്ബോനും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും യസേരും അതിന്റെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും ഇങ്ങനെ എല്ലാംകൂടി നാലു പട്ടണവും കൊടുത്തു.

So all the cities for the children of Merari by their families, which were remaining of the families of the Levites, were by their lot twelve cities.അങ്ങനെ ശേഷം ലേവ്യ കുടുംബങ്ങളായ മെരാർയ്യർക്കു നറുക്കു പ്രകാരം കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ എല്ലാംകൂടി പന്ത്രണ്ടു ആയിരുന്നു.

All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty and eight cities with their suburbs.യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ അവകാശത്തിൽ ലേവ്യർക്കു എല്ലാംകൂടി നാല്പത്തെട്ടു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളും കിട്ടി.

These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus were all these cities.ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ ഓരോന്നിന്നു ചുറ്റും പുല്പുറങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങൾക്കൊക്കെയും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he swore to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു താൻ അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു സത്യം ചെയ്ത ദേശമെല്ലാം കൊടുത്തു; അവർ അതു കൈവശമാക്കി അവിടെ കുടിപാർത്തു.

And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he swore unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.യഹോവ അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചുറ്റും അവർക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കി ശത്രുക്കളിൽ ഒരുത്തനും അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നിട്ടില്ല; യഹോവ സകല ശത്രുക്കളെയും അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു.

There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.യഹോവ യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വാഗ്ദാനങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നും വൃഥാവാകാതെ സകലവും നിവൃത്തിയായി.
