Jeremiah 52

Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.സിദെക്കീയാവു വാണുതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്നു ഇരുപത്തൊന്നു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ പതിനൊന്നു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു; അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു ഹമൂതൽ എന്നു പേർ; അവൾ ലിബ്നക്കാരനായ യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ മകൾ ആയിരുന്നു.

And he did that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.യെഹോയാക്കീം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അവൻ യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു.

For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.യഹോവയുടെ കോപം ഹേതുവായി യെരൂശലേമിന്നും യെഹൂദെക്കും അങ്ങനെ ഭവിച്ചു; അവൻ ഒടുവിൽ അവരെ തന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽനിന്നു തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു; എന്നാൽ സിദെക്കീയാവു ബാബേൽ രാജാവിനോടു മത്സരിച്ചു.

And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.അവന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ ഒമ്പതാം ആണ്ടിൽ പത്താം മാസം പത്താം തിയ്യതി, ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ തന്റെ സർവ്വസൈന്യവുമായി യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ നേരെ വന്നു പാളയമിറങ്ങി അതിന്നെതിരെ ചുറ്റും കൊത്തളങ്ങൾ പണിതു.

So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.അങ്ങനെ സിദെക്കീയാരാജാവിന്റെ പതിനൊന്നാം ആണ്ടുവരെ നഗരം നിരോധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

And in the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.നാലാം മാസം ഒമ്പതാം തിയ്യതി ക്ഷാമം നഗരത്തിൽ കലശലായി ദേശത്തെ ജനത്തിന്നു ആഹാരമില്ലാതെ ഭവിച്ചു.

Then the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden; (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about:) and they went by the way of the plain.അപ്പോൾ നഗരത്തിന്റെ മതിൽ ഒരിടം പൊളിച്ചുതുറന്നു; കല്ദയർ നഗരം വളഞ്ഞിരിക്കെ പടയാളികൾ ഒക്കെയും രാത്രിസമയത്തു രാജാവിന്റെ തോട്ടത്തിന്നരികെ രണ്ടു മതിലുകളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ള പടിവാതിൽക്കൽ കൂടി നഗരം വിട്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ടു അരാബയിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിയായി ഓടിപ്പോയി.

But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.എന്നാൽ കല്ദയരുടെ സൈന്യം രാജാവിനെ പിന്തുടർന്നു, യെരീഹോസമഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ചു സിദെക്കീയാവോടു എത്തി; അവന്റെ സൈന്യമൊക്കെയും അവനെ വിട്ടു ചിതറിപ്പോയി.

Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.അവർ രാജാവിനെ പിടിച്ചു, ഹമാത്ത് ദേശത്തിലെ രിബ്ളയിൽ ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു; അവൻ അവന്നു വിധി കല്പിച്ചു.

And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.ബാബേൽരാജാവു സിദെക്കീയാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ അവൻ കാൺകെ കൊന്നു; യെഹൂദാപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും അവൻ രിബ്ളയിൽവെച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.പിന്നെ അവൻ സിദെക്കീയാവിന്റെ കണ്ണു പൊട്ടിച്ചു; ബാബേൽരാജാവു അവനെ ചങ്ങലകൊണ്ടു ബന്ധിച്ചു ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു ജീവപര്യന്തം കാരാഗൃഹത്തിൽ ആക്കി.

Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,അഞ്ചാം മാസം പത്താം തിയ്യതി, ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ പത്തൊമ്പതാം ആണ്ടിൽ തന്നേ, ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ തിരുമുമ്പിൽ നില്ക്കുന്നവനും അകമ്പടിനായകനുമായ നെബൂസർ-അദാൻ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു വന്നു.

And burned the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയവും രാജധാനിയും ചുട്ടു, യെരൂശലേമിലെ എല്ലാ വീടുകളും പ്രധാനഭവനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും തീ വെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.

And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.അകമ്പടിനായകനോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന കല്ദയസൈന്യമൊക്കെയും യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള മതിലുകളെല്ലാം ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive certain of the poor of the people, and the residue of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.ജനത്തിൽ എളിയവരായ ചിലരെയും നഗരത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്ന ജനശിഷ്ടത്തെയും ബാബേൽരാജാവിനെ ചെന്നു ശരണംപ്രാപിച്ചവരെയും പുരുഷാരത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ചവരെയും അകമ്പടിനായകനായ നെബൂസർ-അദാൻ ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left certain of the poor of the land for vinedressers and for husbandmen.എന്നാൽ അകമ്പടിനായകനായ നെബൂസർ-അദാൻ ദേശത്തെ എളിയവരിൽ ചിലരെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടക്കാരായും കൃഷിക്കാരായും വിട്ടേച്ചുപോയി.

Also the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brazen sea that was in the house of the LORD, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ താമ്രസ്തംഭങ്ങളും പീഠങ്ങളും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ താമ്രംകൊണ്ടുള്ള കടലും കല്ദയർ ഉടെച്ചു താമ്രം ഒക്കെയും ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.കലങ്ങളും ചട്ടുകങ്ങളും കത്രികകളും കിണ്ണങ്ങളും തവികളും ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കുള്ള സകലതാമ്രോപകരണങ്ങളും അവർ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടുപോയി.

And the basons, and the fire-pans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, took the captain of the guard away.പാനപാത്രങ്ങളും തീച്ചട്ടികളും കിണ്ണങ്ങളും കലങ്ങളും വിളക്കുതണ്ടുകളും തവികളും കുടങ്ങളും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ളതും വെള്ളികൊണ്ടുള്ളതും എല്ലാം അകമ്പടിനായകൻ കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

The two pillars, one sea, and twelve brazen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the LORD: the brass of all these vessels was without weight.ശലോമോൻ രാജാവു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയംവകെക്കു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ രണ്ടു സ്തംഭവും ഒരു കടലും പീഠങ്ങളുടെ കീഴെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പന്ത്രണ്ടു താമ്രക്കാളയും തന്നേ; ഈ സകലസാധനങ്ങളുടെയും താമ്രത്തിന്നു തൂക്കമില്ലാതെയിരുന്നു.

And concerning the pillars, the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a fastener of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.സ്തംഭങ്ങളോ, ഓരോന്നു പതിനെട്ടു മുഴം ഉയരവും പന്ത്രണ്ടു മുഴം ചുറ്റളവും നാലു വിരൽ കനവും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു; അതു പൊള്ളയുമായിരുന്നു.

And a capital of brass was upon it; and the height of one capital was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the capitals round about, all of brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these.അതിന്മേൽ താമ്രംകൊണ്ടു ഒരു പോതിക ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; പോതികയുടെ ഉയരം അഞ്ചു മുഴം പോതികമേൽ ചുറ്റും വലപ്പണിയും മാതളപ്പഴവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; സകലവും താമ്രംകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു; രണ്ടാമത്തെ സ്തംഭത്തിന്നു ഇതുപോലെയുള്ള പണിയും മാതളപ്പഴവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side; and all the pomegranates upon the network were an hundred round about.നാലുപുറത്തുംകൂടെ തൊണ്ണൂറ്റാറു മാതളപ്പഴവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു: വലപ്പണിയിൽ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള മാതളപ്പഴം ആകെ നൂറു ആയിരുന്നു.

And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:അകമ്പടിനായകൻ മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ സെരായാവെയും രണ്ടാം പുരോഹിതനായ സെഫന്യാവെയും മൂന്നു വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാരെയും പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോയി.

He took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king's person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.നഗരത്തിൽനിന്നു അവൻ യോദ്ധാക്കളുടെ വിചാരകനായ ഒരു ഷണ്ഡനെയും നഗരത്തിൽവെച്ചു കണ്ട ഏഴു രാജപരിചാരകന്മാരെയും ദേശത്തിലെ ജനത്തെ പടെക്കു ശേഖരിക്കുന്ന സേനാപതിയുടെ രായസക്കാരനെയും നഗരത്തിൽ കണ്ട അറുപതു നാട്ടുപുറക്കാരെയും പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.ഇവരെ അകമ്പടിനായകനായ നെബൂസർ-അദാൻ പിടിച്ചു രിബ്ളയിൽ ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു.

And the king of Babylon stroke them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.ബാബേൽരാജാവു ഹമാത്ത് ദേശത്തിലെ രിബ്ളയിൽവെച്ചു അവരെ വെട്ടിക്കൊന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ യെഹൂദാ സ്വദേശം വിട്ടു പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവന്നു.

This is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty:നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയ ജനം: ഏഴാം ആണ്ടിൽ മൂവായിരത്തിരുപത്തുമൂന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാർ;

In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty and two persons:നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ പതിനെട്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയ എണ്ണൂറ്റിമുപ്പത്തുരണ്ടു പേർ;

In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ ഇരുപത്തുമൂന്നാം ആണ്ടിൽ, അകമ്പടിനായകനായ നെബൂസർ-അദാൻ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയ യെഹൂദന്മാർ എഴുനൂറ്റി നാല്പത്തഞ്ചുപേർ; ഇങ്ങനെ ആകെ നാലായിരത്തറുനൂറു പേരായിരുന്നു.

And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison.യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാഖീന്റെ പ്രവാസത്തിന്റെ മുപ്പത്തേഴാമാണ്ടിൽ പന്ത്രണ്ടാം മാസം ഇരുപത്തഞ്ചാം തിയ്യതി ബാബേൽരാജാവായ എവീൽ-മെരോദക്ക് തന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ ഒന്നാം ആണ്ടിൽ യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാഖീനെ കടാക്ഷിച്ചു കാരാഗൃഹത്തിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു,

And spoke kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,അവനോടു ആദരവായി സംസാരിച്ചു, അവന്റെ ആസനത്തെ തന്നോടു കൂടെ ബാബേലിൽ ഉള്ള രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ ആസനങ്ങൾക്കു മേലായി വെച്ചു,

And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.അവന്റെ കാരാഗൃഹവസ്ത്രം മാറ്റി, അവൻ ജീവപര്യന്തം നിത്യവും അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചുപോന്നു.

And for his diet, there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.അവന്റെ അഹോവൃത്തിയോ ബാബേൽരാജാവു അവന്നു അവന്റെ മരണദിവസംവരെ അവന്റെ ജീവകാലമൊക്കെയും നിത്യവൃത്തിക്കു ദിവസം പ്രതിയുള്ള ഓഹരി കൊടുത്തുപോന്നു.

Lamentations 1

How does the city sit solitary, that was full of people! how is she become as a widow! she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!അയ്യോ, ജനപൂർണ്ണയായിരുന്ന നഗരം ഏകാന്തയായിരിക്കുന്നതെങ്ങനെ? ജാതികളിൽ മഹതിയായിരുന്നവൾ വിധവയെപ്പോലെ ആയതെങ്ങനെ? സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ നായകിയായിരുന്നവൾ ഊഴിയവേലക്കാരത്തിയായതെങ്ങനെ?

She weeps sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she has none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies.രാത്രിയിൽ അവൾ കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അവളുടെ കവിൾത്തടങ്ങളിൽ കണ്ണുനീർ കാണുന്നു; അവളുടെ സകലപ്രിയന്മാരിലും അവളെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിപ്പാൻ ആരുമില്ല; അവളുടെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരൊക്കെയും അവൾക്കു ശത്രുക്കളായി ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwells among the heathen, she finds no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.കഷ്ടതയും കഠിനദാസ്യവുംനിമിത്തം യെഹൂദാ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവന്നു; അവൾ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ പാർക്കുന്നു; വിശ്രാമം കണ്ടെത്തുന്നതുമില്ല; അവളെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവരൊക്കെയും ഇടുക്കിടങ്ങളിൽവെച്ചു അവളെ എത്തിപ്പിടിക്കുന്നു.

The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.ഉത്സവത്തിന്നു ആരും വരായ്കകൊണ്ടു സീയോനിലേക്കുള്ള വഴികൾ ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു; അവളുടെ വാതിലുകളൊക്കെയും ശൂന്യമായി. പുരോഹിതന്മാർ നെടുവീർപ്പിടുന്നു; അവളുടെ കന്യകമാർ ഖേദിക്കുന്നു; അവൾക്കും വ്യസനം പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Her adversaries are the chief, her enemies prosper; for the LORD has afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children are gone into captivity before the enemy.അവളുടെ അതിക്രമബാഹുല്യംനിമിത്തം യഹോവ അവൾക്കു സങ്കടം വരുത്തിയതിനാൽ അവളുടെ വൈരികൾക്കു പ്രാധാന്യം ലഭിച്ചു, അവളുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾ ശുഭമായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവളുടെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ വൈരിയുടെ മുമ്പായി പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവന്നു.

And from the daughter of Zion all her beauty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer.സീയോൻ പുത്രിയുടെ മഹത്വമൊക്കെയും അവളെ വിട്ടുപോയി; അവളുടെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ മേച്ചൽ കാണാത്ത മാനുകളെപ്പോലെ ആയി; പിന്തുടരുന്നവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ അവർ ശക്തിയില്ലാതെ നടക്കുന്നു.

Jerusalem remembered in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old, when her people fell into the hand of the enemy, and none did help her: the adversaries saw her, and did mock at her sabbaths.കഷ്ടാരിഷ്ടതകളുടെ കാലത്തു യെരൂശലേം പണ്ടത്തെ മനോഹരവസ്തുക്കളെയൊക്കെയും ഓർക്കുന്നു; സഹായിപ്പാൻ ആരുമില്ലാതെ അവളുടെ ജനം വൈരിയുടെ കയ്യിൽ അകപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ, വൈരികൾ അവളെ നോക്കി അവളുടെ നാശത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ചിരിച്ചു.

Jerusalem has grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sighs, and turns backward.യെരൂശലേം കഠിനപാപം ചെയ്തിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു മലിനയായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവളെ ബഹുമാനിച്ചവരൊക്കെയും അവളുടെ നഗ്നത കണ്ടിട്ടു അവളെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു; അവളോ നെടുവീർപ്പിട്ടുകൊണ്ടു പിന്നോക്കം തിരിയുന്നു.

Her filthiness is in her skirts; she remembers not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy has magnified himself.അവളുടെ മലിനത ഉടുപ്പിന്റെ വിളുമ്പിൽ കാണുന്നു; അവൾ ഭാവികാലം ഓർത്തില്ല; അവൾ അതിശയമാംവണ്ണം വീണുപോയി; അവളെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിപ്പാൻ ആരുമില്ല; യഹോവേ, ശത്രു വമ്പു പറയുന്നു; എന്റെ സങ്കടം നോക്കേണമേ.

The adversary has spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she has seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom you did command that they should not enter into your congregation.അവളുടെ സകലമനോഹരവസ്തുക്കളിന്മേലും വൈരി കൈവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ സഭയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കരുതെന്നു നീ കല്പിച്ച ജാതികൾ അവളുടെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിൽ കടന്നതു അവൾ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ.

Zion spreads forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD has commanded concerning Jacob, that his adversaries should be round about him: Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them.സീയോൻ കൈ മലർത്തുന്നു; അവളെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിപ്പാൻ ആരുമില്ല; യഹോവ യാക്കോബിന്നു അവന്റെ ചുറ്റും വൈരികളെ കല്പിച്ചാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; യെരൂശലേം അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ മലിനയായിരിക്കുന്നു.

I called for my lovers, but they deceived me: my priests and mine elders gave up the spirit in the city, while they sought their food to relieve their souls.ഞാൻ എന്റെ പ്രിയന്മാരെ വിളിച്ചു; അവരോ എന്നെ ചതിച്ചു; എന്റെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരും വിശപ്പടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആഹാരം തിരഞ്ഞുനടക്കുമ്പോൾ നഗരത്തിൽ വെച്ചു പ്രാണനെ വിട്ടു.

Lamentations 2

How has the LORD covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger!അയ്യോ! യഹോവ സീയോൻ പുത്രിയെ തന്റെ കോപത്തിൽ മേഘംകൊണ്ടു മറെച്ചതെങ്ങനെ? അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മഹത്വം ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു ഭൂമിയൽ ഇട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു; തന്റെ കോപദിവസത്തിൽ അവൻ തന്റെ പാദപീഠത്തെ ഓർത്തതുമില്ല,

The LORD has swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and has not pitied: he has thrown down in his wrath the strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he has brought them down to the ground: he has polluted the kingdom and the princes thereof.കർത്താവു കരുണ കാണിക്കാതെ യാക്കോബിന്റെ മേച്ചൽപുറങ്ങളെയൊക്കെയും നശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ ക്രോധത്തിൽ അവൻ യെഹൂദാപുത്രിയുടെ കോട്ടകളെ ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; രാജ്യത്തെയും അതിലെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും അവൻ നിലത്തിട്ടു അശുദ്ധമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

He has bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right hand as an adversary, and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like fire.ശത്രു എന്നപോലെ അവൻ വില്ലു കുലെച്ചു, വൈരി എന്നപോലെ അവൻ വലങ്കൈ ഓങ്ങി; കണ്ണിന്നു കൌതുകമുള്ളതു ഒക്കെയും നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു. സീയോൻ പുത്രിയുടെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ തന്റെ ക്രോധം തീപോലെ ചൊരിഞ്ഞു;

The LORD was as an enemy: he has swallowed up Israel, he has swallowed up all her palaces: he has destroyed his strong holds, and has increased in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation.കർത്താവു ശത്രുവെപ്പോലെ ആയി, യിസ്രായേലിനെ മുടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അവളുടെ അരമനകളെ ഒക്കെയും മുടിച്ചു, അവളുടെ കോട്ടകളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; യെഹൂദാപുത്രിക്കു ദുഃഖവും വിലാപവും വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

And he has violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he has destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD has caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and has despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest.അവൻ തിരുനിവാസം ഒരു തോട്ടംപോലെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു; തന്റെ ഉത്സവസ്ഥലം നശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ സീയോനിൽ ഉത്സവവും ശബ്ബത്തും മറക്കുമാറാക്കി, തന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപത്തിൽ രാജാവിനെയും പുരോഹിതനെയും നിരസിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

The LORD has cast off his altar, he has abhorred his sanctuary, he has given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast.കർത്താവു തന്റെ യാഗപീഠം തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു, തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരം വെറുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവളുടെ അരമനമതിലുകളെ അവൻ ശത്രുവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു; അവർ ഉത്സവത്തിൽ എന്നപോലെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ ആരവം ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

The LORD has purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he has stretched out a line, he has not withdrawn his hand from destroying: therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament; they languished together.യഹോവ സീയോൻ പുത്രിയുടെ മതിൽ നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ നിർണ്ണയിച്ചു; അവൻ അളന്നു നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിൽനിന്നു കൈ പിൻവലിച്ചില്ല; അവൻ കോട്ടയും മതിലും ദുഃഖത്തിലാക്കി; അവ ഒരുപോലെ ക്ഷയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Her gates are sunk into the ground; he has destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.അവളുടെ വാതിലുകൾ മണ്ണിൽ പൂണ്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവളുടെ ഓടാമ്പൽ അവൻ തകർത്തു നശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവളുടെ രാജാവും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഇല്ലാത്ത ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവളുടെ രാജാവും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഇല്ലാത്ത ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവളുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാർക്കു യഹോവയിങ്കൽ നിന്നു ദർശനം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതുമില്ല.

The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, and keep silence: they have cast up dust upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.സീയോൻ പുത്രിയുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാർ മിണ്ടാതെ നിലത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ തലയിൽ പൊടി വാരിയിട്ടു രട്ടുടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; യെരൂശലേം കന്യകമാർ നിലത്തോളം തല താഴ്ത്തുന്നു.

Mine eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the infants swoon in the streets of the city.എന്റെ ജനത്തിൻ പുത്രിയുടെ നാശം നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ കണ്ണുനീർ വാർത്തു കണ്ണു മങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു; എന്റെ ഉള്ളം കലങ്ങി കരൾ നിലത്തു ചൊരിഞ്ഞുവീഴുന്നു; പൈതങ്ങളും ശിശുക്കളും നഗരവീഥികളിൽ തളർന്നുകിടക്കുന്നു.

They say to their mothers, Where is corn and wine? when they swooned as the wounded in the streets of the city, when their soul was poured out into their mothers' bosom.അവർ നിഹതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നഗരവീഥികളിൽ തളർന്നുകിടക്കുമ്പോഴും അമ്മമാരുടെ മാർവ്വിൽവെച്ചു പ്രാണൻ വിടുമ്പോഴും ആഹാരവും വീഞ്ഞും എവിടെ എന്നു അമ്മമാരോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നു.

Your prophets have seen vain and foolish things for you: and they have not discovered yours iniquity, to turn away your captivity; but have seen for you false burdens and causes of banishment.നിന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്മാർ നിനക്കു ഭോഷത്വവും വ്യാജവും ദർശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ നിന്റെ പ്രവാസം മാറ്റുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ അകൃത്യം വെളിപ്പെടുത്താതെ വ്യാജവും പ്രവാസകാരണവുമായ പ്രവാചകം ദർശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

All that pass by clap their hands at you; they hiss and shake their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ഏവരും നിന്നെ നോക്കി കൈ കൊട്ടുന്നു; അവർ യെരൂശലേംപുത്രിയെച്ചൊല്ലി ചൂളകുത്തി തലകുലുക്കി: സൌന്ദര്യപൂർത്തി എന്നും സർവ്വമഹീതലമോദം എന്നും വിളിച്ചുവന്ന നഗരം ഇതു തന്നേയോ എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നു.

All yours enemies have opened their mouth against you: they hiss and gnash the teeth: they say, We have swallowed her up: certainly this is the day that we looked for; we have found, we have seen it.നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ നേരെ വായ്പിളർക്കുന്നു; അവർ ചൂളകുത്തി, പല്ലുകടിച്ചു: നാം അവളെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു. നാം കാത്തിരുന്ന ദിവസം ഇതുതന്നേ, നമുക്കു സാദ്ധ്യമായി നാം കണ്ടു രസിപ്പാൻ ഇടയായല്ലോ എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

The LORD has done that which he had devised; he has fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old: he has thrown down, and has not pitied: and he has caused yours enemy to rejoice over you, he has set up the horn of yours adversaries.യഹോവ നിർണ്ണയിച്ചതു അനുഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പുരാതനകാലത്തു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു നിവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. കരുണകൂടാതെ അവൻ ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അവൻ ശത്രുവിനെ നിന്നെച്ചൊല്ലി സന്തോഷിപ്പിച്ചു വൈരികളുടെ കൊമ്പു ഉയർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Their heart cried unto the LORD, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give yourself no rest; let not the apple of yours eye cease.അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം കർത്താവിനോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; സീയോൻ പുത്രിയുടെ മതിലേ, രാവും പകലും ഓലോല കണ്ണുനീരൊഴുക്കുക; നിനക്കുതന്നേ സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കരുതു; നിന്റെ കണ്മണി വിശ്രമിക്കയുമരുതു.

Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out yours heart like water before the face of the LORD: lift up your hands toward him for the life of your young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.രാത്രിയിൽ, യാമാരംഭത്തിങ്കൽ എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിലവിളിക്ക; നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ വെള്ളംപോലെ കർത്തൃ സന്നിധിയിൽ പകരുക; വീഥികളുടെ തലെക്കലൊക്കെയും വിശപ്പുകൊണ്ടു തളർന്നുകിടക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളുടെ ജീവരക്ഷെക്കായി അവങ്കലേക്കു കൈ മലർത്തുക.

Behold, O LORD, and consider to whom you have done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?യഹോവേ, ആരോടാകുന്നു നീ ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തതെന്നു ഓർത്തു കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമേ! സ്ത്രീകൾ ഗർഭഫലത്തെ, കയ്യിൽ താലോലിച്ചു പോരുന്ന കുഞ്ഞുളെ തന്നേ തിന്നേണമോ? കർത്താവിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിൽ പുരോഹിതനും പ്രവാചകനും കൊല്ലപ്പെടേണമോ?

The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets: my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword; you have slain them in the day of yours anger; you have killed, and not pitied.വീഥികളിൽ ബാലനും വൃദ്ധനും നിലത്തു കിടക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കന്യകമാരും യൌവനക്കാരും വാൾകൊണ്ടു വീണിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ കോപദിവസത്തിൽ നീ അവരെ കൊന്നു കരുണകൂടാതെ അറുത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.

You have called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the LORD's anger none escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up has mine enemy consumed.ഉത്സവത്തിന്നു വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടുംപോലെ നീ എനിക്കു സർവ്വത്രഭീതികളെ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ കോപദിവസത്തിൽ ആരും ചാടിപ്പോകയില്ല; ആരും ശേഷിച്ചതുമില്ല; ഞാൻ കയ്യിൽ താലോലിച്ചു വളർത്തിയവരെ എന്റെ ശത്രു മുടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
