Deuteronomy 28

And it shall come to pass, if you shall hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD your God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that the LORD your God will set you on high above all nations of the earth:നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു നീ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേട്ടു, ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ സകല കല്പനകളും പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടന്നാൽ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സർവ്വജാതികൾക്കും മീതെ ഉന്നതമാക്കും.

And all these blessings shall come on you, and overtake you, if you shall hearken unto the voice of the LORD your God.നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചാൽ ഈ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളെല്ലാം നിനക്കു സിദ്ധിക്കും: പട്ടണത്തിൽ നീ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും;

Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field.വയലിൽ നീ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your cattle, and the flocks of your sheep.നിന്റെ ഗർഭഫലവും കൃഷിഫലവും മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ ഫലവും നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലികളുടെ പേറും ആടുകളുടെ പിറപ്പും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

Blessed shall be your basket and your store.നിന്റെ കൊട്ടയും മാവു കുഴെക്കുന്ന തൊട്ടിയും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.അകത്തു വരുമ്പോൾ നീ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും. പുറത്തു പോകുമ്പോൾ നീ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.

The LORD shall cause yours enemies that rise up against you to be smitten before your face: they shall come out against you one way, and flee before you seven ways.നിന്നോടു എതിർക്കുന്ന ശത്രുക്കളെ യഹോവ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ തോല്ക്കുമാറാക്കും; അവർ ഒരു വഴിയായി നിന്റെ നേരെ വരും; ഏഴു വഴിയായി നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നു ഓടിപ്പോകും.

The LORD shall command the blessing upon you in your storehouses, and in all that you set yours hand unto; and he shall bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you.യഹോവ നിന്റെ കളപ്പുരകളിലും നീ തൊടുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിലും നിനക്കു അനുഗ്രഹം കല്പിക്കും; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു അവൻ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.

The LORD shall establish you an holy people unto himself, as he has sworn unto you, if you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and walk in his ways.നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനകൾ പ്രമാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ വഴികളിൽ നടന്നാൽ യഹോവ നിന്നോടു സത്യംചെയ്തതുപോലെ നിന്നെ തനിക്കു വിശുദ്ധജനമാക്കും.

And all people of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of you.യഹോവയുടെ നാമം നിന്റെ മേൽ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സകലജാതികളും കണ്ടു നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടും.

And the LORD shall make you abundant in goods, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers to give you.നിനക്കു തരുമെന്നു യഹോവ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ത ദേശത്തു യഹോവ നിന്റെ നന്മെക്കായി ഗർഭഫലത്തിലും കന്നുകാലികളുടെ ഫലത്തിലും നിന്റെ നിലത്തിലെ ഫലത്തിലും നിനക്കു സമൃദ്ധി നല്കും.

The LORD shall open unto you his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto your land in his season, and to bless all the work of yours hand: and you shall lend unto many nations, and you shall not borrow.തക്കസമയത്തു നിന്റെ ദേശത്തിന്നു മഴ തരുവാനും നിന്റെ വേല ഒക്കെയും അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാനും യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്റെ നല്ല ഭണ്ഡാരമായ ആകാശം തുറക്കും; നീ അനേകം ജാതികൾക്കു വായിപ്പ കൊടുക്കും; എന്നാൽ നീ വായിപ്പ വാങ്ങുകയില്ല.

And the LORD shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath; if that you hearken unto the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day, to observe and to do them:ഞാൻ എന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനകൾ കേട്ടു പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടന്നാൽ യഹോവ നിന്നെ വാലല്ല, തല ആക്കും; നീ ഉയർച്ച തന്നേ പ്രാപിക്കും; താഴ്ച പ്രാപിക്കയില്ല.

¹⁴

And you shall not go aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന വചനങ്ങളിൽ യാതൊന്നെങ്കിലും വിട്ടു അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ പിന്തുടർന്നു സേവിപ്പാൻ നീ ഇടത്തോട്ടോ വലത്തോട്ടോ മാറരുതു.

¹⁵

But it shall come to pass, if you will not hearken unto the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you this day; that all these curses shall come upon you, and overtake you:എന്നാൽ നീ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു, ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടക്കാഞ്ഞാൽ ഈ ശാപം ഒക്കെയും നിനക്കു വന്നു ഭവിക്കും:

Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field.പട്ടണത്തിൽ നീ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും. വയലിലും ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

¹⁷

Cursed shall be your basket and your store.നിന്റെ കൊട്ടയും മാവുകുഴെക്കുന്ന തൊട്ടിയും ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

¹⁸

Cursed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your land, the increase of your cattle, and the flocks of your sheep.നിന്റെ ഗർഭഫലവും കൃഷിഫലവും കന്നുകാലികളുടെ പേറും ആടുകളുടെ പിറപ്പും ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും;

Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.അകത്തു വരുമ്പോൾ നീ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും; പുറത്തുപോകുമ്പോൾ നീ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

²⁰

The LORD shall send upon you cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that you set yours hand unto in order to do, until you be destroyed, and until you perish quickly; because of the wickedness of your doings, whereby you have forsaken me.എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു ചെയ്ത ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തികൾ നിമിത്തം നീ വേഗത്തിൽ മുടിഞ്ഞുപേകുംവരെ നിന്റെ കൈ തൊടുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിലും യഹോവ ശാപവും പരിഭ്രമവും പ്രാക്കും അയക്കും.

The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto you, until he have consumed you from off the land, where you go to possess it.നീ കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിന്നു നിന്നെ മുടിച്ചുകളയുംവരെ യഹോവ നിനക്കു മഹാമാരി പിടിപ്പിക്കും.

The LORD shall strike you with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue you until you perish.ക്ഷയരോഗം, ജ്വരം, പുകച്ചൽ, അത്യുഷ്ണം, വരൾച്ച, വെൺകതിർ, വിഷമഞ്ഞു എന്നിവയാൽ യഹോവ നിന്നെ ബാധിക്കും; നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ അവ നിന്നെ പിന്തുടരും.

And your heaven that is over your head shall be brass, and the earth that is under you shall be iron.നിന്റെ തലെക്കു മീതെയുള്ള ആകാശം ചെമ്പും നിനക്കു കീഴുള്ള ഭൂമി ഇരിമ്പും ആകും.

²⁴

The LORD shall make the rain of your land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon you, until you be destroyed.യഹോവ നിന്റെ ദേശത്തിലെ മഴയെ പൊടിയും പൂഴിയും ആക്കും; നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ അതു ആകാശത്തിൽനിന്നു നിന്റെമേൽ പെയ്യും.

²⁵

The LORD shall cause you to be smitten before yours enemies: you shall go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shall be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ യഹോവ നിന്നെ തോല്ക്കുമാറാക്കും. നീ ഒരു വഴിയായി അവരുടെ നേരെ ചെല്ലും; ഏഴു വഴിയായി അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നു ഓടിപ്പോകും; നീ ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലരാജ്യങ്ങൾക്കും ഒരു ബാധയായ്തീരും.

²⁶

And your carcass shall be food unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall frighten them away.നിന്റെ ശവം ആകാശത്തിലെ സകലപക്ഷികൾക്കും ഭൂമിയിലെ മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കും ഇര ആകും; അവയെ ആട്ടികളവാൻ ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല. യഹോവ നിന്നെ മിസ്രയീമിലെ

The LORD will strike you with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof you can not be healed.പരുക്കൾ, മൂലവ്യാധി, ചൊറി, ചിരങ്ങു എന്നിവയാൽ ബാധിക്കും; അവ സൌഖ്യമാകുകയുമില്ല.

²⁸

The LORD shall strike you with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:ഭ്രാന്തും അന്ധതയും ചിത്തഭ്രമവുംകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ നിന്നെ ബാധിക്കും.

²⁹

And you shall grope at noonday, as the blind gropes in darkness, and you shall not prosper in your ways: and you shall be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save you.കുരുടൻ അന്ധതമസ്സിൽ തപ്പിനടക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നീ ഉച്ചസമയത്തു തപ്പിനടക്കും. നീ പേകുന്നേടത്തെങ്ങും നിനക്കു ഗുണംവരികയില്ല; നീ എപ്പോഴും പീഡിതനും അപഹാരഗതനും ആയിരിക്കും; നിന്നെ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ആരുമുണ്ടാകയുമില്ല.

³⁰

You shall betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: you shall build an house, and you shall not dwell therein: you shall plant a vineyard, and shall not gather the grapes thereof.നീ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ വിവാഹത്തിന്നു നിയമിക്കും; മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ അവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിക്കും. നീ ഒരു വിടു പണിയിക്കും; എങ്കിലും അതിൽ പാർക്കയില്ല. നീ ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കും; ഫലം അനുഭവിക്കയില്ല.

³¹

Yours ox shall be slain before yours eyes, and you shall not eat thereof: yours ass shall be violently taken away from before your face, and shall not be restored to you: your sheep shall be given unto yours enemies, and you shall have none to rescue them.നിന്റെ കാളയെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽവെച്ചു അറുക്കും; എന്നാൽ നീ അതിന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നുകയില്ല. നിന്റെ കഴുതയെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നു പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; തിരികെ കിട്ടുകയില്ല. നിന്റെ ആടുകൾ ശത്രുക്കൾക്കു കൈവശമാകും; അവയെ വിടുവിപ്പാൻ നിനക്കു ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല.

Your sons and your daughters shall be given unto another people, and yours eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in yours hand.നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരരും പുത്രിമാരും അന്യജാതിക്കു അടിമകളാകും; നിന്റെ കണ്ണു ഇടവിടാതെ അവരെ നോക്കിയിരുന്നു ക്ഷീണിക്കും; എങ്കിലും നിന്നാൽ ഒന്നും സാധിക്കയില്ല.

³³

The fruit of your land, and all your labours, shall a nation which you know not eat up; and you shall be only oppressed and crushed always:നിന്റെ കൃഷിഫലവും നിന്റെ അദ്ധ്വാനമൊക്കെയും നീ അറിയാത്ത ജാതിക്കാർ അനുഭവിക്കും; നീ എല്ലാനാളും ബാധിതനും പീഡിതനും ആകും.

³⁴

So that you shall be mad for the sight of yours eyes which you shall see.നിന്റെ കാണ്ണാലെ കാണുന്ന കാഴ്ചയാൽ നിനക്കു ഭ്രാന്തു പിടിക്കും.

³⁵

The LORD shall strike you in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot unto the top of your head.സൌഖ്യമാകാത്ത പരുക്കളാൽ യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഉള്ളങ്കാൽ തുടങ്ങി നെറുകവരെ ബാധിക്കും.

³⁶

The LORD shall bring you, and your king which you shall set over you, unto a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known; and there shall you serve other gods, wood and stone.യഹോവ നിന്നെയും നീ നിന്റെ മേൽ ആക്കിയ രാജാവിനെയും നീയാകട്ടെ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരാകട്ടെ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ജാതിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ പോകുമാറാക്കും; അവിടെ നീ മരവും കല്ലുമായ അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ സേവിക്കും.

³⁷

And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations where the LORD shall lead you.യഹോവ നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്ന സകലജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയിൽ നീ സ്തംഭനത്തിന്നും പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലിന്നും പരിഹാസത്തിന്നും വിഷയമായ്തീരും.

³⁸

You shall carry much seed out into the field, and shall gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.നീ വളരെ വിത്തു നിലത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; എന്നാൽ വെട്ടുക്കിളി തിന്നുകളകകൊണ്ടു കുറെ മാത്രം കൊയ്യും.

³⁹

You shall plant vineyards, and dress them, but shall neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.നീ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങൾ നട്ടു രക്ഷ ചെയ്യും; എങ്കിലും പുഴു തിന്നു കളകകൊണ്ടു വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കയില്ല; പഴം ശേഖരിക്കയുമില്ല.

⁴⁰

You shall have olive trees throughout all your coasts, but you shall not anoint yourself with the oil; for yours olive shall cast his fruit.ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ നാട്ടിൽ ഒക്കെയും ഉണ്ടാകും; എങ്കിലും നീ എണ്ണ തേക്കയില്ല; അതിന്റെ പിഞ്ചു പൊഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

⁴¹

You shall brought forth sons and daughters, but you shall not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.നീ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിക്കും; എങ്കിലും അവർ നിനക്കു ഇരിക്കയില്ല; അവർ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവരും.

All your trees and fruit of your land shall the locust consume.നിന്റെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളും നിന്റെ ഭൂമിയുടെ ഫലവും എല്ലാം പുഴു തിന്നുകളയും.

The stranger that is within you shall get up above you very high; and you shall come down very low.നിന്റെ ഇടയിലുള്ള പരദേശി നിനക്കു മീതെ ഉയർന്നുയർന്നു വരും; നീയോ താണുതാണുപോകും.

⁴⁴

He shall lend to you, and you shall not lend to him: he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.അവർ നിനക്കു വായിപ്പ തരും; അവന്നു വായിപ്പ കൊടുപ്പാൻ നിനക്കു ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; അവൻ തലയും നീ വാലുമായിരിക്കും.

⁴⁵

Moreover all these curses shall come upon you, and shall pursue you, and overtake you, till you be destroyed; because you hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you:നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു അവൻ നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഈ ശാപം ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ മേൽ വരികയും നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ നിന്നെ പിന്തുർന്നുപിടിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

⁴⁶

And they shall be upon you for a sign and for a wonder, and upon your seed for ever.അവ ഒരടയാളവും അത്ഭുതവുമായി നിന്നോടും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയോടും എന്നേക്കും പറ്റിയിരിക്കും.

⁴⁷

Because you served not the LORD your God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;സകല വസ്തുക്കളുടെയും സമൃദ്ധി ഹേതുവായിട്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നീ ഉന്മേഷത്തോടും നല്ല ഹൃദയസന്തോഷത്തോടുംകൂടെ സേവിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു

⁴⁸

Therefore shall you serve yours enemies which the LORD shall send against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in lack of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon your neck, until he have destroyed you.യഹോവ നിന്റെ നേരെ അയക്കുന്ന ശത്രുക്കളെ നീ വിശപ്പോടും ദാഹത്തോടും നഗ്നതയോടും എല്ലാഞെരുക്കത്തോടുംകൂടെ സേവിക്കും; നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിക്കുംവരെ അവൻ നിന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ ഒരു ഇരിമ്പുനുകം വെക്കും.

The LORD shall bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies; a nation whose tongue you shall not understand;യഹോവ ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു, ഭൂമിയുടെ അറുതിയിൽനിന്നു, ഒരു ജാതിയെ കഴുകൻ പറന്നു വരുന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെമേൽ വരുത്തും. അവർ നീ അറിയാത്ത ഭാഷ പറയുന്ന ജാതി;

A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favour to the young:വൃദ്ധനെ ആദരിക്കയോ ബാലനോടു കനിവു തോന്നുകയോ ചെയ്യാത്ത ഉഗ്രമുഖമുള്ള ജാതി.

⁵¹

And he shall eat the fruit of your cattle, and the fruit of your land, until you be destroyed: which also shall not leave you either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of your cattle, or flocks of your sheep, until he have destroyed you.നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ അവർ നിന്റെ മൃഗഫലവും നിന്റെ കൃഷിഫലവും തിന്നും; അവർ നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിക്കുംവരെ ധാന്യമോ വിഞ്ഞോ എണ്ണയോ നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലികളുടെ പേറോ ആടുകളുടെ പിറപ്പോ ഒന്നും നിനക്കു ശേഷിപ്പിക്കയില്ല.

And he shall besiege you in all your gates, until your high and fenced walls come down, wherein you trusted, throughout all your land: and he shall besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land, which the LORD your God has given you.നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും നീ ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഉയരവും ഉറപ്പുമുള്ള മതിലുകൾ വീഴുംവരെ അവർ നിന്റെ എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും നിന്നെ നിരോധിക്കും; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്ന നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു എല്ലാടുവുമുള്ള നിന്റെ എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും അവർ നിന്നെ നിരോധിക്കും.

And you shall eat the fruit of yours own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters, which the LORD your God has given you, in the siege, and in the strictness, wherewith yours enemies shall distress you:ശത്രു നിന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കത്തിലും നിരോധത്തിലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ഗർഭഫലമായ പുത്രന്മാരുടെയും പുത്രിമാരുടെയും മാംസം നീ തിന്നും;

⁵⁴

So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:നിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ മൃദുശരീരയും മഹാസുഖഭോഗിയും ആയിരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ സഹോദരനോടും തന്റെ മാർവ്വിടത്തിലെ ഭാര്യയോടും തനിക്കു ശേഷിക്കുന്ന മക്കളോടും

So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he has nothing left him in the siege, and in the strictness, wherewith yours enemies shall distress you in all your gates.ലുബ്ധനായി അവരിൽ ആർക്കും താൻ തിന്നുന്ന തന്റെ മക്കളുടെ മാംസത്തിൽ ഒട്ടും കൊടുക്കയില്ല; ശത്രു നിന്റെ എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും നിന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കത്തിലും നിരോധത്തിലും അവന്നു ഒന്നും ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കയില്ല.

The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,ദേഹമാർദ്ദവംകൊണ്ടും കോമളത്വംകൊണ്ടും തന്റെ ഉള്ളങ്കാൽ നിലത്തുവെപ്പാൻ മടിക്കുന്ന തന്വംഗിയും സുഖഭോഗിനിയുമായ സ്ത്രീ തന്റെ മാർവ്വിടത്തിലെ ഭർത്താവിന്നും തന്റെ മകന്നും മകൾക്കും തന്റെ കാലുകളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്ന മറുപ്പിള്ളയെയും താൻ പ്രസവിക്കുന്ന കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെയും കൊടുക്കാതവണ്ണം ലുബ്ധയായി

And toward her young one that comes out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for lack of all things secretly in the siege and strictness, wherewith yours enemy shall distress you in your gates.ശത്രു നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കത്തിലും നിരോധത്തിലും സകലവസ്തുക്കളുടെയും ദുർല്ലഭത്വംനിമിത്തം അവൾ അവരെ രഹസ്യമായി തിന്നും.

If you will not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD Your GOD;നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്ന മഹത്തും ഭയങ്കരവുമായ നാമത്തെ നീ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലെ സകലവചനങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിച്ചനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കാഞ്ഞാൽ

Then the LORD will make your plagues wonderful, and the plagues of your seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.യഹോവ നിന്റെ മേലും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയുടെമേലും നീണ്ടുനില്ക്കുന്ന അപൂർവ്വമായ മഹാബാധകളും നീണ്ടുനില്ക്കുന്ന വല്ലാത്ത രോഗങ്ങളും വരുത്തും

Moreover he will bring upon you all the diseases of Egypt, which you were afraid of; and they shall cleave unto you.നീ പേടിക്കുന്ന മിസ്രയീമിലെ വ്യാധികളൊക്കെയും അവൻ നിന്റെമേൽ വരുത്തും. അവ നിന്നെ പറ്റിപ്പിടിക്കും.

Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon you, until you be destroyed.ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിട്ടില്ലാത്ത

And all of you shall be left few in number, whereas all of you were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because you would not obey the voice of the LORD your God.സകല രോഗവും ബാധയുംകൂടെ നീ നശിക്കുംവരെ യഹോവ നിന്റെമേൽ വരുത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും. ആകാശത്തിലെ നക്ഷത്രംപോലെ പെരുകിയിരുന്ന നിങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു ചുരുക്കംപേരായി ശേഷിക്കും.

And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nothing; and all of you shall be plucked from off the land where you go to possess it.നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഗുണംചെയ്‍വാനും നിങ്ങളെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിപ്പാനും യഹോവ നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ പ്രസാദിച്ചിരുന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ നിങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാനും നിർമ്മൂലമാക്കുവാനും യഹോവ പ്രസാദിച്ചു, നീ കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ പറിച്ചുകളയും.

⁶⁴

And the LORD shall scatter you among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known, even wood and stone.യഹോവ നിന്നെ ഭൂമിയുടെ ഒരറ്റംമുതൽ മറ്റെഅറ്റംവരെ സർവ്വജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയിൽ ചിതറിക്കും; അവിടെ നീയും നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്തവയായി മരവും കല്ലുംകൊണ്ടുള്ള അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ നീ സേവിക്കും.

And among these nations shall you find no ease, neither shall the sole of your foot have rest: but the LORD shall give you there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:ആ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിനക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത കിട്ടുകയില്ല; നിന്റെ കാലിന്നു വിശ്രാമസ്ഥലം ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; അവിടെ യഹോവ നിനക്കു വിറെക്കുന്ന ഹൃദയവും മങ്ങുന്ന കണ്ണും നിരാശയുള്ള മനസ്സും തരും.

And your life shall hang in doubt before you; and you shall fear day and night, and shall have none assurance of your life:നിന്റെ ജീവൻ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ തൂങ്ങിയിരിക്കും; രാവും പകലും നീ പേടിച്ചു പാർക്കും; പ്രാണഭയം നിന്നെ വിട്ടുമാറുകയില്ല.

In the morning you shall say, Would God it were even! and at even you shall say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of yours heart wherewith you shall fear, and for the sight of yours eyes which you shall see.നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ നീ പേടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന പേടി നിമിത്തവും നീ കണ്ണാലെ കാണുന്ന കാഴ്ചനിമിത്തവും നേരം വെളുക്കുമ്പോൾ: സന്ധ്യ ആയെങ്കിൽ കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു എന്നും സന്ധ്യാകാലത്തു: നേരം വെളുത്തെങ്കിൽ കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു എന്നും നീ പറയും.

And the LORD shall bring you into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spoke unto you, You shall see it no more again: and there all of you shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.നീ ഇനി കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞ വഴിയായി യഹോവ നിന്നെ കപ്പൽ കയറ്റി മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകും; അവിടെ നിങ്ങളെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്കു അടിയാരും അടിയാട്ടികളുമായി വില്പാൻ നിർത്തും; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളെ വാങ്ങുവാൻ ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല.

Deuteronomy 29

These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb.മോശെ എല്ലായിസ്രയേലിനെയും വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടി പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: യഹോവ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുവെച്ചു നിങ്ങൾ കാൺകെ ഫറവോനോടും അവന്റെ സകലഭൃത്യന്മാരോടും അവന്റെ സർവ്വദേശത്തോടും ചെയ്തതു ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ;

And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, All of you have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ണാലെ കണ്ട വലിയ പരീക്ഷകളും അടയാളങ്ങളും മഹാത്ഭുതങ്ങളും തന്നേ.

The great temptations which yours eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:എങ്കിലും തിരിച്ചറിയുന്ന ഹൃദയവും കാണുന്ന കണ്ണും കേൾക്കുന്ന ചെവിയും യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഇന്നുവരെയും തന്നിട്ടില്ല.

Yet the LORD has not given you an heart to perceive, and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.ഞാൻ നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം നിങ്ങളെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ നടത്തി; നിങ്ങൾ ഉടുത്തിരുന്ന വസ്ത്രം ജീർണ്ണിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; കാലിലെ ചെരിപ്പു പഴകീട്ടുമില്ല.

And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not becoming old upon you, and your shoe is not becoming old upon your foot.യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അപ്പം തിന്നിട്ടില്ല, വീഞ്ഞും മദ്യവും കുടിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല.

All of you have not eaten bread, neither have all of you drunk wine or strong drink: that all of you might know that I am the LORD your God.നിങ്ങൾ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തു വന്നപ്പോൾ ഹെശ്ബോൻ രാജാവായ സീഹോനും ബാശാൻ രാജാവായ ഓഗും നമ്മുടെ നേരെ യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു വന്നു.

And when all of you came unto this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, and Og the king of Bashan, came out against us unto battle, and we stroke them:എന്നാറെ നാം അവരെ തോല്പിച്ചു, അവരുടെ രാജ്യം പിടിച്ചു രൂബേന്യർക്കും ഗാദ്യർക്കും മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രത്തിന്നും അവകാശമായി കൊടുത്തു.

And we took their land, and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh.ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും സാധിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഈ നിയമത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടപ്പിൻ.

Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that all of you may prosper in all that all of you do.ഇന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തലവന്മാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരും പ്രമാണികളും യിസ്രായേൽപുരുഷന്മാരൊക്കെയും തന്നേ.

All of you stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,നിങ്ങളുടെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ, ഭാര്യമാർ, നിന്റെ പാളയത്തിൽ വിറകു കീറുകയും വെള്ളം കോരുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന പരദേശി എന്നിങ്ങനെ എല്ലാവരും

Your little ones, your wives, and your stranger that is in your camp, from the hewer of your wood unto the drawer of your water:നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെയും അബ്രാഹാം, യിസ്ഹാക്, യാക്കോബ് എന്ന നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു അവൻ സത്യംചെയ്തതുപോലെയും ഇന്നു നിന്നെ തനിക്കു ജനമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും താൻ നിനക്കു ദൈവമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

That you should enter into covenant with the LORD your God, and into his oath, which the LORD your God makes with you this day:നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ചെയ്യുന്ന നിയമത്തിലും സത്യബന്ധത്തിലും പ്രവേശിപ്പാൻ അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നില്ക്കുന്നു.

That he may establish you to day for a people unto himself, and that he may be unto you a God, as he has said unto you, and as he has sworn unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.ഞാൻ ഈ നിയമവും സത്യബന്ധവും ചെയ്യുന്നതു നിങ്ങളോടു മാത്രമല്ല,

Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;ഇന്നു നമ്മോടുകൂടെ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നില്ക്കുന്നവരോടും ഇന്നു ഇവിടെ നമ്മോടു കൂടെ ഇല്ലാത്തവരോടും തന്നേ.

But with him that stands here with us this day before the LORD our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:നാം മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എങ്ങനെ പാർത്തു എന്നും നിങ്ങൾ കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ജാതികളുടെ നടുവിൽകൂടി എങ്ങനെ കടന്നു എന്നും നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

(For all of you know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which all of you passed by;അവരുടെ മ്ളേച്ഛതകളും അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ മരവും കല്ലും വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും കൊണ്ടുള്ള വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളും നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു.

And all of you have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)ആ ജാതികളുടെ ദേവന്മാരെ ചെന്നു സേവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇന്നു നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വിട്ടുമാറുവാൻ മനസ്സുള്ള യാതൊരു പുരുഷനും സ്ത്രീയും യാതൊരു കുലവും ഗോത്രവും നിങ്ങളിൽ ഉണ്ടാകരുതു; നഞ്ചും കൈപ്പുമുള്ള ഫലം കായക്കുന്ന യാതൊരുവേരും അരുതു.

Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turns away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that bears gall and wormwood;അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവൻ ഈ ശാപവചനങ്ങളെ കേൾക്കുമ്പോൾ: വരണ്ടതും നനവുള്ളതും ഒരുപോലെ നശിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ കാഠിന്യപ്രകാരം നടന്നാലും എനിക്കു സുഖം ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ തന്നെത്താൻ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.

And it come to pass, when he hears the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:അവനോടു ക്ഷമിപ്പാൻ യഹോവെക്കു മനസ്സുവരാതെ യഹോവയുടെ കോപവും തീക്ഷ്ണതയും ആ മനുഷ്യന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിക്കും; ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന ശാപം ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ മേൽ വരും; യഹോവ ആകാശത്തിൻ കീഴിൽ നിന്നു അവന്റെ നാമം മായിച്ചുകളയും.

The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന നിയമത്തിലെ സകലശാപങ്ങൾക്കും തക്കവണ്ണം യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലഗോത്രങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും അവനെ ദോഷത്തിന്നായി വേറുതിരിക്കും.

And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:നിങ്ങളുടെ ശേഷം ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന തലമുറയായ നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളും ദൂരദേശത്തുനിന്നു വരുന്ന അന്യനും ദേശത്തിലെ ബാധകളും യഹോവ അവിടെ വരുത്തിയ രോഗങ്ങളും

So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD has laid upon it;യഹോവ തന്റെ കോപത്തിലും ക്രോധത്തിലും സോദോം, ഗൊമോര, അദമ, സെബോയീം എന്ന പട്ടണങ്ങളെ മറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞതുപോലെ വിതയും വിളവും ഇല്ലാതെയും പുല്ലുപോലും മുളെക്കാതെയും ഗന്ധകവും ഉപ്പും കത്തിയിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശമൊക്കെയും കാണുമ്പോൾ

And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor bears, nor any grass grows therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath:യഹോവ ഈ ദേശത്തോടു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു? ഈ മഹാക്രോധാഗ്നിയുടെ കാരണം എന്തു എന്നു സകലജാതികളും ചോദിക്കും.

Even all nations shall say, Wherefore has the LORD done thus unto this land? what means the heat of this great anger?അതിന്നുണ്ടാകുന്ന മറുപടി എന്തെന്നാൽ: അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവരെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവരോടു ചെയ്തിരുന്ന നിയമം അവർ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു;

Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:തങ്ങൾ അറികയോ തങ്ങൾക്കു നിയമിച്ചുകിട്ടുകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ലാത്ത അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ അവർ ചെന്നു സേവിക്കയും നമസ്കരിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

²⁶

For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:അതുകൊണ്ടു ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന ശാപം ഒക്കെയും ഈ ദേശത്തിന്മേൽ വരുത്തുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം യഹോവയുടെ കോപം അതിന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു.

²⁷

And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:യഹോവ കോപത്തോടും ക്രോധത്തോടും വലിയ വെറുപ്പോടുംകൂടെ അവരെ അവരുടെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു പറിച്ചുകളകയും ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ അവരെ മറ്റൊരു ദേശത്തേക്കു തള്ളിവിടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

²⁸

And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കുള്ളവയത്രേ; വെളിപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നവയോ നാം ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ സകലവചനങ്ങളും അനുസരിച്ചുനടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നേക്കും നമുക്കും നമ്മുടെ മക്കൾക്കും ഉള്ളവയാകുന്നു.

The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.—

Deuteronomy 30

And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you shall call them to mind among all the nations, where the LORD your God has driven you,ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന അനുഗ്രഹവും ശാപവുമായ ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെമേൽ നിവൃത്തിയായി വന്നിട്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ള അതതു ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽവെച്ചു നീ അവയെ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഓർത്തു

And shall return unto the LORD your God, and shall obey his voice according to all that I command you this day, you and your children, with all yours heart, and with all your soul;നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു നീയും നിന്റെ മക്കളും പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ, ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചാൽ

That then the LORD your God will turn your captivity, and have compassion upon you, and will return and gather you from all the nations, where the LORD your God has scattered you.നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ സ്ഥിതി മാറ്റുകയും നിന്നോടു മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു നിങ്കലേക്കു തിരികയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ ചിതറിച്ചിരുന്ന സകലജാതികളിൽനിന്നും നിന്നെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

If any of yours be driven out unto the utmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD your God gather you, and from thence will he fetch you:നിനക്കുള്ളവർ ആകാശത്തിന്റെ അറുതിവരെ ചിതറിപ്പോയിരുന്നാലും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവിടെനിന്നു നിന്നെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കും; അവിടെനിന്നു അവൻ നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവരും.

And the LORD your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and he will do you good, and multiply you above your fathers.നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു കൈവശമായിരുന്ന ദേശത്തേക്കു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുവരും; നീ അതു കൈവശമാക്കും; അവൻ നിനക്കു ഗുണംചെയ്തു നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെക്കാൾ നിന്നെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും.

And the LORD your God will circumcise yours heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the LORD your God with all yours heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.നീ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ സ്നേഹിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയവും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയുടെ ഹൃദയവും പരിച്ഛേദന ചെയ്യും.

And the LORD your God will put all these curses upon yours enemies, and on them that hate you, which persecuted you.ഈ ശാപങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മേലും നിന്നെ പകെച്ചു ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നവരുടെമേലും വരുത്തും.

And you shall return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command you this day.നീ മനസ്സുതിരിഞ്ഞു യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ സകലകല്പനകളും അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കയും

And the LORD your God will make you abundant in every work of yours hand, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers:നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ കൈകളുടെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തിയിലും നിന്റെ ഗർഭഫലത്തിലും മൃഗഫലത്തിലും കൃഷിഫലത്തിലും നിനക്കു നന്മെക്കായി അഭിവൃദ്ധി നല്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

If you shall hearken unto the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if you turn unto the LORD your God with all yours heart, and with all your soul.നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിക്കയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണമനസ്സോടും കൂടെ തിരികയും ചെയ്താൽ യഹോവ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരിൽ പ്രസാദിച്ചിരുന്നതുപോലെ നിന്നിലും നന്മെക്കായിട്ടു വീണ്ടും പ്രസാദിക്കും.

For this commandment which I command you this day, it is not hidden from you, neither is it far off.ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന ഈ കല്പന നിനക്കു പ്രായസമുള്ളതല്ല, ദൂരമായുള്ളതുമല്ല.

It is not in heaven, that you should say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടു അനുസരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആർ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കയറി കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തരും എന്നു പറയത്തക്കവണ്ണം അതു സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലല്ല;

Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടു അനുസരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആർ സമുദ്രം കടന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തരും എന്നു പറയത്തക്കവണ്ണം അതു സമുദ്രത്തിന്നക്കരെയുമല്ല;

But the word is very nigh unto you, in your mouth, and in your heart, that you may do it.നീ അനുസരിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം, വചനം നിനക്കു ഏറ്റവും സമീപത്തു, നിന്റെ വായിലും നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലും തന്നേ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

See, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil;ഇതാ, ഞാൻ ഇന്നു ജീവനും ഗുണവും, മരണവും ദോഷവും നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

In that I command you this day to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that you may live and multiply: and the LORD your God shall bless you in the land where you go to possess it.എങ്ങനെയെന്നാൽ നീ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പെരുകുകയും നീ കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ സ്നേഹിപ്പാനും അവന്റെ വഴികളിൽ നടപ്പാനും അവന്റെ കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും പ്രമാണിപ്പാനും ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്നു.

But if yours heart turn away, so that you will not hear, but shall be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;എന്നാൽ നീ അനുസരിക്കാതെ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം മറികയും നീ വശീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു സേവിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

I denounce unto you this day, that all of you shall surely perish, and that all of you shall not prolong your days upon the land, where you pass over Jordan to go to possess it.നീ യോർദ്ദാൻ കടന്നു കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ ചെല്ലുന്നദേശത്തു ദീർഘായുസ്സോടിരിക്കാതെ നിശ്ചയമായിട്ടു നശിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിങ്ങളെ അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live:ജീവനും മരണവും, അനുഗ്രഹവും ശാപവും നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നതിന്നു ഞാൻ ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും ഇന്നു സാക്ഷിവെക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു നീയും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

That you may love the LORD your God, and that you may obey his voice, and that you may cleave unto him: for he is your life, and the length of your days: that you may dwell in the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.യഹോവ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്നും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്നും യാക്കോബിന്നും കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു സത്യംചെയ ്തദേശത്തു നീ പാർപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ സ്നേഹിക്കയും അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കയും അവനോടു ചേർന്നിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നും ജീവനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തുകൊൾക; അതല്ലോ നിനക്കു ജീവനും ദീർഘായുസ്സും ആകുന്നു.

Deuteronomy 31

And Moses went and spoke these words unto all Israel.മോശെ ചെന്നു ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേലിനെയും കേൾപ്പിച്ചു

And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD has said unto me, You shall not go over this Jordan.പിന്നെ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: എനിക്കു ഇപ്പോൾ നൂറ്റിരുപതു വയസ്സായി;ഇനി പോകുവാനും വരുവാനും എനിക്കു കഴിവില്ല; യഹോവ എന്നോടു: ഈ യോർദ്ദാൻ നീ കടക്കുകയില്ല എന്നു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുമുണ്ടു.

The LORD your God, he will go over before you, and he will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before you, as the LORD has said.നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്നെ നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി കടന്നുപോകും; ഈ ജാതികളെ അവൻ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നശിപ്പിക്കയും നീ അവരുടെ ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും; യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ യോശുവ നിനക്കു നായകനായി കടന്നുപോകും.

And the LORD shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them, whom he destroyed.താൻ സംഹരിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ അമോർയ്യരാജാക്കന്മാരായ സീഹോനോടും ഓഗിനോടും അവരുടെ ദേശത്തോടും ചെയ്തതുപോലെ യഹോവ ഇവരോടും ചെയ്യും.

And the LORD shall give them up before your face, that all of you may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.യഹോവ അവരെ നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കും; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള കല്പനപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങൾ അവരോടു ചെയ്യേണം.

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD your God, he it is that does go with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you.ബലവും ധൈര്യവുമുള്ളവരായിരിപ്പിൻ; അവരെ പേടിക്കരുതു, ഭ്രമിക്കയുമരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്നേ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ പോരുന്നു; അവൻ നിന്നെ കൈവിടുകയില്ല, ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയുമില്ല.

And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for you must go with this people unto the land which the LORD has sworn unto their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it.പിന്നെ മോശെ യോശുവയെ വിളിച്ചു എല്ലായിസ്രായേലും കാൺകെ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: ബലവും ധൈര്യവുമുള്ളവനായിരിക്ക; യഹോവ ഈ ജനത്തിന്നു കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യംചെയ്തദേശത്തേക്കു നീ അവരോടുകൂടെ ചെല്ലും; അതിനെ അവർക്കു വിഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും.

And the LORD, he it is that does go before you; he will be with you, he will not fail you, neither forsake you: fear not, neither be dismayed.യഹോവതന്നേ നിനക്കു മുമ്പായി നടക്കുന്നു; അവൻ നിന്നോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും; നിന്നെ കൈവിടുകയില്ല, ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയുമില്ല; നീ പേടിക്കരുതു, ഭ്രമിക്കയുമരുതു.

And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.അനന്തരം മോശെ ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണം എഴുതി യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം ചുമക്കുന്ന ലേവ്യരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ എല്ലാമൂപ്പന്മാരെയും ഏല്പിച്ചു

And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,മോശെ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: ഏഴേഴു സംവത്സരം കൂടുമ്പോൾ ഉള്ള വിമോചനസംവത്സരത്തിലെ കൂടാരപ്പെരുനാളിൽ

When all Israel has come to appear before the LORD your God in the place which he shall choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing.യിസ്രായേൽ മുഴുവനും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ അവൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു വരുമ്പോൾ ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണം എല്ലായിസ്രായേല്യരും കേൾക്കെ അവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ വായിക്കേണം.

Gather the people together, men and women, and children, and your stranger that is within your gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:പുരുഷന്മാരും സ്ത്രീകളും കുട്ടികളും നിന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിലുള്ള പരദേശിയും കേട്ടു പഠിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും

And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as all of you live in the land where all of you go over Jordan to possess it.അവയെ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്ത അവരുടെ മക്കൾ കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നിങ്ങൾ യോർദ്ദാൻ കടന്നു കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിങ്ങളുടെ ആയുഷ്കാലമൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെടുവാൻ പഠിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ജനത്തെ വിളിച്ചു കൂട്ടേണം.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, your days approach that you must die: call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of the congregation, that I may give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the tabernacle of the congregation.അനന്തരം യഹോവ മോശെയോടു: നീ മരിപ്പാനുള്ള സമയം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ യോശുവെക്കു കല്പന കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ വിളിച്ചു നിങ്ങൾ സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിങ്കൽ വന്നുനില്പിൻ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ മോശെയും യോശുവയും ചെന്നു സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിങ്കൽ നിന്നു.

And the LORD appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle.അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ മേഘസ്തംഭത്തിൽ കൂടാരത്തിങ്കൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി; മേഘസ്തംഭം കൂടാരവാതിലിന്നു മീതെ നിന്നു.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, where they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: നീ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിക്കും; എന്നാൽ ഈ ജനം പാർപ്പാൻ ചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തിലെ നിവാസികളുടെ അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ പിൻചെന്നു പരസംഗം ചെയ്കയും എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു ഞാൻ അവരോടു ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?എന്റെ കോപം അവരുടെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചിട്ടു ഞാൻ അവരെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും എന്റെ മുഖം അവർക്കു മറെക്കയും ചെയ്യും; അവർ നാശത്തിന്നിരയായ്തീരും; അനേകം അനർത്ഥങ്ങളും കഷ്ടങ്ങളും അവർക്കു ഭവിക്കും; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം നമ്മുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടല്ലയോ ഈ അനത്ഥങ്ങൾ നമുക്കു ഭവിച്ചതു എന്നു അവർ അന്നു പറയും.

And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.എങ്കിലും അവർ അന്യദൈവങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ള സകലദോഷവും നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ അന്നു എന്റെ മുഖം മറെച്ചുകളയും

Now therefore write all of you this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.ആകയാൽ ഈ പാട്ടു എഴുതി യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെ പഠിപ്പിക്ക; യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ നേരെ ഈ പാട്ടു എനിക്കു സാക്ഷിയായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു അവർക്കു വായ്പാഠമാക്കിക്കൊടുക്കുക.

For when I shall have brought them into the land which I swore unto their fathers, that flows with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and becoming fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.ഞാൻ അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യംചെയ്തതായി പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തു അവരെ എത്തിച്ചശേഷം അവർ തിന്നു തൃപ്തരായി തടിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അന്യദൈവങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു അവയെ സേവിക്കയും എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിച്ചു എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I swore.എന്നാൽ അനേകം അനർത്ഥങ്ങളും കഷ്ടങ്ങളും അവർക്കു ഭവിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവരുടെ സന്തതിയുടെ വായിൽനിന്നു മറന്നുപോകാത്ത ഈ പാട്ടു അവരുടെ നേരെ സാക്ഷ്യം പറയും; ഞാൻ സത്യംചെയ്ത ദേശത്തു അവരെ എത്തിക്കുമ്മുമ്പേ ഇന്നു തന്നേ അവർക്കുള്ള നിരൂപണങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.

And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land which I swore unto them: and I will be with you.പിന്നെ അവൻ നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവയോടു: ബലവും ധൈര്യവുമുള്ളവനായിരിക്ക; ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു സത്യംചെയ്ത ദേശത്തു നീ അവരെ എത്തിക്കും; ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും എന്നരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,മോശെ ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങൾ മുഴുവനും ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിത്തീർന്നപ്പോൾ

That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം ചുമക്കുന്ന ലേവ്യരോടു കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണപുസ്തകം എടുത്തു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നിയമ പെട്ടകത്തിന്നരികെ വെപ്പിൻ; അവിടെ അതു നിന്റെ നേരെ സാക്ഷിയായിരിക്കും.

For I know your rebellion, and your stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, all of you have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?നിന്റെ മത്സരസ്വഭാവവും ദുശ്ശാഠ്യവും എനിക്കു അറിയാം; ഇതാ, ഇന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയോടു മത്സരികളായിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ? എന്റെ മരണശേഷം എത്ര അധികം?

Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.നിങ്ങളുടെ ഗോത്രങ്ങളുടെ എല്ലാമൂപ്പന്മാരെയും പ്രാമണികളെയും എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടുവിൻ; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ അവരെ പറഞ്ഞു കേൾപ്പിച്ചു അവരുടെ നേരെ ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും സാക്ഷിവെക്കും.
