Psalms 35

English: Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, എന്നോടു വാദിക്കുന്നവരോടു വാദിക്കേണമേ; എന്നോടു പൊരുതുന്നവരോടു പെരുതേണമേ.

English: Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.

Malayalam: നീ പലകയും പരിചയും പിടിച്ചു എനിക്കു സഹായത്തിന്നായി എഴുന്നേൽക്കേണമേ.

English: Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am your salvation.

Malayalam: നീ കുന്തം ഊരി എന്നെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവരുടെ വഴി അടെച്ചുകളയേണമേ; ഞാൻ നിന്റെ രക്ഷയാകുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാണനോടു പറയേണമേ.

English: Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.

Malayalam: എനിക്കു ജീവഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവർക്കു ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും വരട്ടെ; എനിക്കു അനർത്ഥം ചിന്തിക്കുന്നവർ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു നാണിച്ചു പോകട്ടെ.

English: Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.

Malayalam: അവർ കാറ്റിന്നു മുമ്പിലെ പതിർപോലെ ആകട്ടെ; യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ അവരെ ഓടിക്കട്ടെ.

English: Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.

Malayalam: അവരുടെ വഴി ഇരുട്ടും വഴുവഴുപ്പും ആകട്ടെ; യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ അവരെ പിന്തുടരട്ടെ.

English: For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have dug for my soul.

Malayalam: കാരണം കൂടാതെ അവർ എനിക്കായി വല ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ചു; കാരണം കൂടാതെ അവർ എന്റെ പ്രാണന്നായി കുഴി കുഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Let destruction come upon him at unexpectedly; and let his net that he has hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.

Malayalam: അവൻ വിചാരിയാതെ അവന്നു അപായം ഭവിക്കട്ടെ; അവൻ ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ച വലയിൽ അവൻ തന്നേ കുടുങ്ങട്ടെ; അവൻ അപായത്തിൽ അകപ്പെട്ടുപോകട്ടെ.

English: And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.

Malayalam: എന്റെ ഉള്ളം യഹോവയിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കും; അവന്റെ രക്ഷയിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കും;

English: All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto you, which deliver the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoils him?

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, നിനക്കു തുല്യൻ ആർ? എളിയവനെ തന്നിലും ബലമേറിയവന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും എളിയവനും ദരിദ്രനുമായവനെ കവർച്ചക്കാരന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നും നീ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ അസ്ഥികൾ ഒക്കെയും പറയും.

English: False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.

Malayalam: കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷികൾ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഞാൻ അറിയാത്ത കാര്യം എന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നു.

English: They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.

Malayalam: അവർ എനിക്കു നന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മചെയ്തു എന്റെ പ്രാണന്നു അനാഥത്വം വരുത്തുന്നു.

English: But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

Malayalam: ഞാനോ, അവർ ദീനമായ്ക്കിടന്നപ്പോൾ രട്ടുടുത്തു; ഉപവാസംകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ ആത്മതപനം ചെയ്തു; എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന എന്റെ മാർവ്വിടത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു.

English: I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourns for his mother.

Malayalam: അവൻ എനിക്കു സ്നേഹിതനോ സഹോദരനോ എന്നപോലെ ഞാൻ പെരുമാറി; അമ്മയെക്കുറിച്ചു ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ ദുഃഖിച്ചു കുനിഞ്ഞുനടന്നു.

English: But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the outcasts gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not:

Malayalam: അവരോ എന്റെ വീഴ്ചയിങ്കൽ സന്തോഷിച്ചു കൂട്ടംകൂടി; ഞാൻ അറിയാത്ത അധമന്മാർ എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി കൂടിവന്നു. അവർ ഇടവിടാതെ എന്നെ പഴിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു.

English: With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

Malayalam: അടിയന്തരങ്ങളിൽ കോമാളികളായ വഷളന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അവർ എന്റെ നേരെ പല്ലു കടിക്കുന്നു.

English: Lord, how long will you look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.

Malayalam: കർത്താവേ, നീ എത്രത്തോളം നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും? അവരുടെ നാശത്തിൽനിന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാണനെയും ബാലസിംഹങ്ങളുടെ വശത്തുനിന്നു എന്റെ ജിവനെയും വിടുവിക്കേണമേ.

English: I will give you thanks in the great congregation: I will praise you among much people.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ മഹാസഭയിൽ നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യും; ബഹുജനത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ നിന്നെ സ്തുതിക്കും.

English: Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.

Malayalam: വെറുതെ എനിക്കു ശത്രുക്കളായവർ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ; കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്നെ പകെക്കുന്നവർ കണ്ണിമെക്കയുമരുതേ.

English: For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.

Malayalam: അവർ സമാധാനവാക്കു സംസാരിക്കാതെ ദേശത്തിലെ സാധുക്കളുടെ നേരെ വ്യാജകാര്യങ്ങളെ നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു.

English: Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye has seen it.

Malayalam: അവർ എന്റെ നേരെ വായ്പിളർന്നു: നന്നായി, ഞങ്ങൾ സ്വന്തകണ്ണാൽ കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: This you have seen, O LORD: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.

Malayalam: യഹോവേ, നീ കണ്ടുവല്ലോ; മൌനമായിരിക്കരുതേ; കർത്താവേ, എന്നോടകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ,

English: Stir up yourself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.

Malayalam: എന്റെ ദൈവവും എന്റെ കർത്താവുമായുള്ളോവേ, ഉണർന്നു എന്റെ ന്യായത്തിന്നും വ്യവഹാരത്തിന്നും ജാഗരിക്കേണമേ.

English: Judge me, O LORD my God, according to your righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.

Malayalam: എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ നീതിപ്രകാരം എനിക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചു തരേണമേ; അവർ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ.

English: Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

Malayalam: അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ: നന്നായി, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആഗ്രഹം സാധിച്ചു എന്നു പറയരുതേ; ഞങ്ങൾ അവനെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു എന്നും പറയരുതേ.

English: Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.

Malayalam: എന്റെ അനർത്ഥത്തിൽ സന്തോഷിയക്കുന്നവർ ഒരുപോലെ ലജ്ജിച്ചു ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ, എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പുപറയുന്നവർ ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും ധരിക്കട്ടെ.

English: Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Malayalam: എന്റെ നീതിയിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നവർ ഘോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കട്ടെ. തന്റെ ദാസന്റെ ശ്രേയസ്സിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ മഹത്വമുള്ളവൻ എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവർ എപ്പോഴും പറയട്ടെ.

English: And my tongue shall speak of your righteousness and of your praise all the day long.

Malayalam: എന്റെ നാവു നിന്റെ നീതിയെയും നാളെല്ലാം നിന്റെ സ്തുതിയെയും വർണ്ണിക്കും.
