Isaiah 28

Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!എഫ്രയീമിലെ കുടിയാന്മാരുടെ ഡംഭകിരീടത്തിന്നും വീഞ്ഞുകുടിച്ചു ലഹരിപിടിച്ചവരുടെ ഫലവത്തായ താഴ്വരയിലെ കുന്നിന്മേൽ വാടിപ്പോകുന്ന പുഷ്പമായ അവന്റെ ഭംഗിയുള്ള അലങ്കാരത്തിന്നും അയ്യോ, കഷ്ടം!

Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.ഇതാ, ശക്തിയും ബലവുമുള്ള ഒരുത്തൻ കർത്താവിങ്കൽനിന്നു വരുന്നു; തകർത്ത കൊടുങ്കാറ്റോടുകൂടിയ കന്മഴപോലെയും കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്ന മഹാ ജലപ്രവാഹം പോലെയും അവൻ അവരെ വെറുങ്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിലത്തു തള്ളിയിടും.

The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:എഫ്രയീമിലെ കുടിയാന്മാരുടെ ഡംഭകിരീടം അവൻ കാൽകൊണ്ടു ചവിട്ടിക്കളയും.

And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looks upon it sees, while it is yet in his hand he eats it up.ഫലവത്തായ താഴ്വരയിലെ കുന്നിന്മേൽ വാടിപ്പോകുന്ന പുഷ്പമായ അവന്റെ ഭംഗിയുള്ള അലങ്കാരം ഫലശേഖരകാലത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ പഴുത്തതും കാണുന്നവൻ ഉടനെ പറിഞ്ഞുതിന്നുകളയുന്നതുമായ അത്തിപ്പഴം പോലെ ഇരിക്കും.

In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,അന്നാളിൽ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പിന്നു മഹത്വമുള്ളോരു കിരീടവും ഭംഗിയുള്ളോരു മുടിയും

And for a spirit of judgment to him that sits in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.ന്യായവിസ്താരം കഴിപ്പാൻ ഇരിക്കുന്നവന്നു ന്യായത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവും പട്ടണവാതിൽക്കൽവെച്ചു പടയെ മടക്കിക്കളയുന്നവർക്കു വീര്യബലവും ആയിരിക്കും.

But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they go astray in vision, they stumble in judgment.എന്നാൽ ഇവരും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചു ചാഞ്ചാടുകയും മദ്യപിച്ചു ആടിനടക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; പുരോഹിതനും പ്രവാചകനും മദ്യപാനം ചെയ്തു ചാഞ്ചാടുകയും വീഞ്ഞുകുടിച്ചു മത്തരാകയും മദ്യപിച്ചു ആടിനടക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അവർ ദർശനത്തിൽ പിഴെച്ചു ന്യായവിധിയിൽ തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്നു.

For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.മേശകൾ ഒക്കെയും ഛർദ്ദിയും അഴുക്കുംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഒരു സ്ഥലവും ശേഷിപ്പില്ല.

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.“ആർക്കാകുന്നു ഇവൻ പരിജ്ഞാനം ഉപദേശിപ്പാൻ പോകുന്നതു? ആരെയാകുന്നു അവൻ പ്രസംഗം ഗ്രഹിപ്പിപ്പാൻ പോകുന്നതു? പാലുകുടി മാറിയവരെയോ? മുലകുടി വിട്ടവരെയോ?

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:ചട്ടത്തിന്മേൽ ചട്ടം, ചട്ടത്തിന്മേൽ ചട്ടം; സൂത്രത്തിന്മേൽ സൂത്രം, സൂത്രത്തിന്മേൽ സൂത്രം; ഇവിടെ അല്പം, അവിടെ അല്പം” എന്നു അവർ പറയുന്നു അതേ,

For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.വിക്കിവിക്കി പറയുന്ന അധരങ്ങളാലും അന്യഭാഷയിലും അവൻ ഈ ജനത്തോടു സംസാരിക്കും.

To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith all of you may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.ഇതാകുന്നു സ്വസ്ഥത; ക്ഷീണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവന്നു സ്വസ്ഥത കൊടുപ്പിൻ; ഇതാകുന്നു വിശ്രാമം എന്നു അവർ അവരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു എങ്കിലും കേൾപ്പാൻ അവർക്കു മനസ്സില്ലായിരുന്നു.

But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.ആകയാൽ അവർ ചെന്നു പിറകോട്ടുവീണു തകർന്നു കുടുക്കിൽ അകപ്പെട്ടു പിടിപെടേണ്ടതിന്നു, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം അവർക്കു “ചട്ടത്തിന്മേൽ ചട്ടം, ചട്ടത്തിന്മേൽ ചട്ടം, സൂത്രത്തിന്മേൽ സൂത്രം, സൂത്രത്തിന്മേൽ സൂത്രം, ഇവിടെ അല്പം അവിടെ അല്പം” എന്നു ആയിരിക്കും.

Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, all of you scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.അതുകൊണ്ടു യെരൂശലേമിലെ ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ അധിപതികളായ പരിഹാസികളേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ.

Because all of you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:ഞങ്ങൾ മരണത്തോടു സഖ്യതയും പാതാളത്തോടു ഉടമ്പടിയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; പ്രവഹിക്കുന്ന ബാധ ആക്രമിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതു ഞങ്ങളോടു അടുത്തു വരികയില്ല; ഞങ്ങൾ ഭോഷ്കിനെ ശരണമാക്കി വ്യാജത്തിൽ ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believes shall not make haste.അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഇതാ, ഞാൻ സീയോനിൽ ഉറപ്പുള്ള അടിസ്ഥാനമായിട്ടു ശോധനചെയ്ത കല്ലും വിലയേറിയ മൂലക്കല്ലും ആയി ഒരു അടിസ്ഥാനക്കല്ലു ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ ഓടിപ്പോകയില്ല.

Judgment also will I apply to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.ഞാൻ ന്യായത്തെ അളവുചരടും നീതിയെ തൂക്കുകട്ടയും ആക്കിവെക്കും; കന്മഴ വ്യാജശരണത്തെ നീക്കിക്കളയും; വെള്ളം ഒളിപ്പിടത്തെ ഒഴിക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോകും.

And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then all of you shall be trodden down by it.മരണത്തോടുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ സഖ്യത ദുർബ്ബലമാകും; പാതാളത്തോടുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉടമ്പടി നിലനിൽക്കയില്ല; പ്രവഹിക്കുന്ന ബാധ ആക്രമിക്കുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ തകർന്നു പോകും.

From the time that it goes forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.അതു ആക്രമിക്കുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങളെ പിടിക്കും; അതു രാവിലെതോറും രാവും പകലും ആക്രമിക്കും; അതിന്റെ ശ്രുതി കേൾക്കുന്ന മാത്രെക്കു നടുക്കം ഉണ്ടാകും.

For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.കിടക്ക ഒരുത്തന്നു നിവിർന്നു കിടപ്പാൻ നിളം പോരാത്തതും പുതെപ്പു പുതെപ്പാൻ വീതി പോരാത്തതും ആകും.

For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be angry as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.യഹോവ തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെ തന്റെ ആശ്ചര്യപ്രവൃത്തിയെ തന്നേ, ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നും തന്റെ ക്രിയയെ, തന്റെ അപൂർവ്വക്രിയയെ തന്നേ നടത്തേണ്ടതിന്നും പെറാസീംമലയിൽ എന്നപോലെ എഴുന്നേൽക്കയും ഗിബെയോൻ താഴ്വരയിൽ എന്നപോലെ കോപിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

Now therefore be all of you not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ബന്ധനങ്ങൾ മുറുകിപ്പോകാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പരിഹാസികൾ ആയിരിക്കരുതു; സർവ്വഭൂമിയിലും വരുവാൻ നിർണ്ണയിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ഒരു സംഹാരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിങ്കൽനിന്നു കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

Give all of you ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.ചെവി തന്നു എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾപ്പിൻ; ശ്രദ്ധവെച്ചു എന്റെ വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ.

Does the plowman plow all day to sow? does he open and break the clods of his ground?വിതെപ്പാൻ ഉഴുന്നവൻ ഇടവിടാതെ ഉഴുതുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? അവൻ എല്ലായ്പോഴും നിലം കീറി കട്ട ഉടെച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ?

When he has made plain the face thereof, does he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the spelt in their place?നിലം നിരപ്പാക്കീട്ടു അവൻ കരിഞ്ജീരകം വിതെക്കയും ജീരകം വിതറുകയും കോതമ്പു ഉഴവു പൊളിയിലും യവം അതിന്നുള്ള സ്ഥലത്തും ചെറുകോതമ്പു അതിന്റെ അറ്റത്തും ഇടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലയോ?

For his God does instruct him to discretion, and does teach him.അങ്ങനെ അവന്റെ ദൈവം അവനെ യഥാക്രമം ഉപദേശിച്ചു പഠിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.കരിഞ്ജീരകം മെതിവണ്ടികൊണ്ടു മെതിക്കുന്നില്ല; ജീരകത്തിന്മേൽ വണ്ടിയുടെ ചക്രം ഉരുട്ടുന്നതുമില്ല; കരിഞ്ജീരകം വടികൊണ്ടും ജീരകം കോൽകൊണ്ടും തല്ലിയെടുക്കയത്രേ ചെയ്യുന്നതു.

Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.മെതിക്കയിൽ ധാന്യം ചതെച്ചുകളയാറുണ്ടോ? അവൻ അതിനെ എല്ലായ്പോഴും മെതിക്കയും വണ്ടിയുടെ ചക്രത്തെയും കുതിരകളെയും അതിന്മേൽ തെളിക്കയും ചെയ്കയില്ലല്ലോ; അവൻ അതിനെ ചതെച്ചുകളകയില്ല.

This also comes forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.അതും സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയിങ്കൽനിന്നു വരുന്നു; അവൻ ആലോചനയിൽ അതിശയവും ജ്ഞാനത്തിൽ ഉൽകൃഷ്ടതയും ഉള്ളവനാകുന്നു.

Isaiah 29

Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add all of you year to year; let them kill sacrifices.അയ്യോ, അരീയേലേ, അരീയേലേ! ദാവീദ് പാളയമിറങ്ങിയിരുന്ന നഗരമേ! ആണ്ടോടു ആണ്ടു കൂട്ടുവിൻ; ഉത്സവങ്ങൾ മുറെക്കു വന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കട്ടെ.

Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel.എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ അരീയേലിനെ ഞെരുക്കും; ദുഃഖവും വിലാപവും ഉണ്ടാകും; അതു എനിക്കു അരീയേലായി തന്നേ ഇരിക്കും.

And I will camp against you round about, and will lay siege against you with a mount, and I will raise forts against you.ഞാൻ നിനക്കു വിരോധമായി ചുറ്റും പാളയമിറങ്ങി വാടകോരി നിന്നെ നിരോധിക്കയും നിന്റെ നേരെ കൊത്തളം ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

And you shall be brought down, and shall speak out of the ground, and your speech shall be low out of the dust, and your voice shall be, as of one that has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech shall whisper out of the dust.അപ്പോൾ നീ താണു, നിലത്തുനിന്നു സംസാരിക്കും; നിന്റെ വാക്കു പൊടിയിൽനിന്നു പതുക്കെ വരും; വെളിച്ചപ്പാടന്റേതുപോലെ നിന്റെ ഒച്ച നിലത്തുനിന്നു വരും; നിന്റെ വാക്കു പൊടിയിൽനിന്നു ചിലെക്കും.

Moreover the multitude of your strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passes away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly.നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ സംഘം നേരിയ പൊടിപോലെയും നിഷ്കണ്ടകന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടം, പാറിപ്പോകുന്ന പതിർപോലെയും ഇരിക്കും; അതു ഒരു ക്ഷണമാത്രകൊണ്ടു പെട്ടെന്നു സംഭവിക്കും.

You shall be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.ഇടിമുഴക്കത്തോടും ഭൂകമ്പത്തോടും മഹാനാദത്തോടും കൂടെ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റും കൊടുങ്കാറ്റും ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിജ്വാലയുമായി അതു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയാൽ സന്ദർശിക്കപ്പെടും.

And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her stronghold, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.അരീയേലിന്റെ നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന സകലജാതികളുടെയും കൂട്ടം അതിന്നു അതിന്റെ കോട്ടെക്കും നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു അതിനെ വിഷമിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഏവരും തന്നേ, ഒരു സ്വപ്നംപോലെ, ഒരു രാത്രിദർശനംപോലെ ആകും.

It shall even be as when an hungry man dreams, and, behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreams, and, behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul has appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.വിശന്നിരിക്കുന്നവൻ താൻ ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടിട്ടു ഉണരുമ്പോൾ വിശന്നിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവൻ താൻ പാനംചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടിട്ടു ഉണരുമ്പോൾ ക്ഷീണിച്ചും ദാഹിച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും സീയോൻ പർവ്വതത്തോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന സകലജാതികളുടെയും കൂട്ടം ഇരിക്കും.

Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry all of you out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.വിസ്മയിച്ചു സ്തംഭിച്ചുപോകുവിൻ; അന്ധതപിടിച്ചു കുരുടരായിത്തീരുവിൻ; അവർ മത്തരായിരിക്കുന്നു. വീഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടല്ലതാനും; അവർ ചാഞ്ചാടിനടക്കുന്നു; മദ്യപാനംകൊണ്ടല്ലതാനും.

For the LORD has poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers has he covered.യഹോവ ഗാഢനിദ്ര നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ പകർന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണുകളെ അടെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ പ്രവാചകന്മാർക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദർശകന്മാരായ തലവന്മാർക്കും മൂടുപടം ഇട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray you: and he says, I cannot; for it is sealed:അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു സകലദർശനവും മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങൾ പോലെ ആയിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിനെ അക്ഷരവിദ്യയുള്ള ഒരുത്തന്റെ കയ്യിൽ കൊടുത്തു: ഇതൊന്നു വായിക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ: എനിക്കു വഹിയാ; അതിന്നു മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറയും.

And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray you: and he says, I am not learned.അല്ല, ആ പുസ്തകം അക്ഷരവിദ്യയില്ലാത്തവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ കൊടുത്തു: ഇതൊന്നു വായിക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ: എനിക്കു അക്ഷര വിദ്യയില്ല എന്നു പറയും.

Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:ഈ ജനം അടുത്തു വന്നു വായ്കൊണ്ടും അധരംകൊണ്ടും എന്നെ ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അവർ എങ്കൽനിന്നു ദൂരത്തു അകറ്റി വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നോടുള്ള അവരുടെ ഭക്തി, മനഃപാഠമാക്കിയ മാനുഷകല്പനയത്രെ.

Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.ഇതു കാരണത്താൽ ഞാൻ ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ ഇനിയും ഒരു അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തി, അത്ഭുതവും ആശ്ചര്യവും ആയോരു പ്രവൃത്തി തന്നേ, ചെയ്യും; അവരുടെ ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ ജ്ഞാനം നശിക്കും; അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധിമാന്മാരുടെ ബുദ്ധിയും മറഞ്ഞുപോകും എന്നു കർത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who sees us? and who knows us?തങ്ങളുടെ ആലോചനയെ യഹോവെക്കു അഗാധമായി മറെച്ചുവെക്കുവാൻ നോക്കുകയും തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ അന്ധകാരത്തിൽ ചെയ്കയും: ഞങ്ങളെ ആർ കാണുന്നു? ഞങ്ങളെ ആർ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?അയ്യോ, ഇതെന്തൊരു മറിവു! കുശവനും കളിമണ്ണും ഒരുപോലെ എന്നു വിചാരിക്കാമോ? ഉണ്ടായതു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയവനെക്കുറിച്ചു: അവൻ എന്നെ ഉണ്ടാക്കീട്ടില്ല എന്നും, ഉരുവായതു ഉരുവാക്കിയവനെക്കുറിച്ചു: അവന്നു ബുദ്ധിയില്ല എന്നും പറയുമോ?

Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?ഇനി അല്പകാലംകൊണ്ടു ലെബാനോൻ ഒരു ഉദ്യാനമായി തീരുകയും ഉദ്യാനം വനമായി എണ്ണപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്കയില്ലയോ?

And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.അന്നാളിൽ ചെകിടന്മാർ പുസ്തകത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങളെ കേൾക്കുകയും കരുടന്മാരുടെ കണ്ണുകൾ ഇരുളും അന്ധകാരവും നീങ്ങി കാണുകയും

The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.സൌമ്യതയുള്ളവർക്കു യഹോവയിൽ സന്തോഷം വർദ്ധിക്കയും മനുഷ്യരിൽ സാധുക്കളായവർ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

For the terrible one is brought to nothing, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:നിഷ്കണ്ടൻ നാസ്തിയായും പരിഹാസി ഇല്ലാതെയായും ഇരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

That make a man an offender for a word, and lay a snare for him that reproves in the gate, and turn aside the just for a thing of nothing.മനുഷ്യരെ വ്യവഹാരത്തിൽ കുറ്റക്കാരാക്കുകയും പട്ടണ വാതിൽക്കൽ ന്യായം വിസ്തരിക്കുന്നവന്നു കണിവെക്കയും നീതിമാനെ നിസ്സാരകാര്യംകൊണ്ടു ബഹിഷ്കരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരായി നീതികേടിന്നു ജാഗ്രതയുള്ള ഏവരും ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

Therefore thus says the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.ആകയാൽ അബ്രാഹാമിനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്ത യഹോവ യക്കോബ്ഗൃഹത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: യാക്കോബ് ഇനി ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകയില്ല; അവന്റെ മുഖം ഇനി വിളറിപ്പോകയുമില്ല.

They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctrine.മനോവിഭ്രമമുള്ളവർ ജ്ഞാനം ഗ്രഹിക്കയും പിറുപിറുക്കുന്നവർ ഉപദേശം പഠിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

Isaiah 30

Woe to the rebellious children, says the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:പാപത്തോടു പാപം കൂട്ടുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം എന്നെ കൂടാതെ ആലോചന കഴിക്കയും എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ കൂടാതെ സഖ്യത ചെയ്കയും

That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!ഫറവോന്റെ സംരക്ഷണയിൽ തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ സംരക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ നിഴലിൽ ശരണം പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും എന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു ചോദിക്കാതെ മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു പോകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മത്സരമുള്ള മക്കൾക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.എന്നാൽ ഫറവോന്റെ സംരക്ഷണ നിങ്ങൾക്കു നാണമായും മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ നിഴലിലെ ശരണം ലജ്ജയായും ഭവിക്കും.

For his princes were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes.അവന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ സോവനിൽ ആയി അവന്റെ ദൂതന്മാർ ഹാനേസിൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

They were all ashamed of a people that could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.അവർ ഒക്കെയും തങ്ങൾക്കു ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും അല്ലാതെ ഉപകാരമോ സഹായമോ പ്രയോജനമോ ഒന്നും വരാത്ത ഒരു ജാതിനിമിത്തം ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകും.

The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit them.തെക്കെ ദേശത്തിലെ മൃഗങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പ്രവാചകം: സിംഹി, കേസരി, അണലി, പറക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിസർപ്പം എന്നിവ വരുന്നതായി കഷ്ടവും ക്ളേശവും ഉള്ള ദേശത്തുകൂടി, അവർ ഇളം കഴുതപ്പുറത്തു തങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പത്തും ഒട്ടകപ്പുറത്തു തങ്ങളുടെ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങളും കയറ്റി തങ്ങൾക്കു ഉപകാരം വരാത്ത ഒരു ജാതിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു.

For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ സഹായം വ്യർത്ഥവും നിഷ്ഫലവുമത്രെ; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അതിന്നു: അനങ്ങാതിരിക്കുന്ന സാഹസക്കാർ എന്നു പേർ വിളിക്കുന്നു.

Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:നീ ഇപ്പോൾ ചെന്നു, വരുങ്കാലത്തേക്കു ഒരു ശാശ്വതസാക്ഷ്യമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ അതിനെ ഒരു പലകയിൽ എഴുതി ഒരു രേഖയായി കുറിച്ചുവെക്കുക.

That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:അവർ മത്സരമുള്ളോരു ജനവും ഭോഷ്കു പറയുന്നമക്കളും യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുസരിക്കാത്ത സന്തതിയുമല്ലോ.

Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:അവർ ദർശകന്മാരോടു: ദർശിക്കരുതു; പ്രവാചകന്മാരോടു: നേരുള്ളതു ഞങ്ങളോടു പ്രവചിക്കരുതു; മധുരവാക്കു ഞങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിപ്പിൻ; വ്യാജങ്ങളെ പ്രവചിപ്പിൻ;

Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.വഴി വിട്ടു നടപ്പിൻ; പാത തെറ്റി നടപ്പിൻ; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീങ്ങുമാറാക്കുവിൻ എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

Wherefore thus says the Holy One of Israel, Because all of you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ ഈ വചനത്തെ നിരസിച്ചുകളകയും പീഡനത്തിലും വക്രതയിലും ആശ്രയിച്ചു ചാരിനിൽക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു കൊണ്ടു,

Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly at an instant.ഈ അകൃത്യം നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഉയർന്ന ചുവരിൽ ഉന്തിനില്ക്കുന്നതും പെട്ടന്നു ഒരു മാത്രകൊണ്ടു വീഴുന്നതും ആയ ഒരു പൊട്ടൽ പോലെ ആയിരിക്കും.

And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a potsherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water likewise out of the pit.അടുപ്പിൽനിന്നു തീ എടുപ്പാനോ കുളത്തിൽനിന്നു വെള്ളം കോരുവാനോ കൊള്ളാകുന്ന ഒരു കഷണംപോലും ശേഷിക്കാതവണ്ണം ഒരുവൻ കുശവന്റെ പൊട്ടക്കലം ഗണ്യമാക്കാതെ ഉടെച്ചുകളയുന്നതു പോലെ അവൻ അതിനെ ഉടെച്ചുകളയും.

For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall all of you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and all of you would not.യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനായി യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: മനന്തിരിഞ്ഞു അടങ്ങിയിരുന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും. വിശ്രമിക്കുന്നതിലും ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നതിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ ബലം; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾക്കു മനസ്സാകാതെ: അല്ല;

But all of you said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall all of you flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.ഞങ്ങൾ കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറി ഓടിപ്പോകും എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞു; അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾ ഓടിപ്പോകേണ്ടിവരും; ഞങ്ങൾ തുരഗങ്ങളിന്മേൽ കയറിപ്പോകും എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു; അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവരും വേഗതയുള്ളവരായിരിക്കും.

One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall all of you flee: till all of you be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an explicit sign on an hill.മലമുകളിൽ ഒരു കൊടിമരം പോലെയും കുന്നിമ്പുറത്തു ഒരു കൊടിപോലെയും നിങ്ങൾ ശേഷിക്കുന്നതുവരെ, ഏകന്റെ ഭീഷണിയാൽ ആയിരം പേരും അഞ്ചുപേരുടെ ഭീഷണിയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും ഓടിപ്പോകും.

And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടു കൃപ കാണിപ്പാൻ താമസിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു കരുണ കാണിക്കാതവണ്ണം ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ ന്യായത്തിന്റെ ദൈവമല്ലോ; അവന്നായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവരൊക്കെയും; ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.

For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: you shall weep no more: he will be very gracious unto you at the voice of your cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer you.യെരൂശലേമ്യരായ സീയോൻ നിവാസികളേ, ഇനി കരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കേണ്ടാ; നിങ്ങളുടെ നിലവിളിയുടെ ശബ്ദത്തിങ്കൽ അവന്നു നിശ്ചയമായിട്ടു കരുണ തോന്നും; അതു കേൾക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ അവൻ ഉത്തരം അരുളും.

And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not your teachers be removed into a corner any more, but yours eyes shall see your teachers:കർത്താവു നിങ്ങൾക്കു കഷ്ടത്തിന്റെ അപ്പവും ഞെരുക്കത്തിന്റെ വെള്ളവും മാത്രം തന്നാലും ഇനി നിന്റെ ഉപദേഷ്ടാവു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കയില്ല; നിന്റെ കണ്ണു നിന്റെ ഉപദേഷ്ടാവിനെ കണ്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും.

And yours ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way, walk all of you in it, when all of you turn to the right hand, and when all of you turn to the left.നിങ്ങൾ വലത്തോട്ടോ ഇടത്തോട്ടോ തിരിയുമ്പോൾ: വഴി ഇതാകുന്നു, ഇതിൽ നടന്നുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നൊരു വാക്കു പിറകിൽനിന്നു കേൾക്കും.

All of you shall defile also the covering of your graven images of silver, and the ornament of your molten images of gold: you shall cast them away as a menstruous cloth; you shall say unto it, Get you behind.വെള്ളി പൊതിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ബിംബങ്ങളെയും പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങൾ അശുദ്ധമാക്കും; അവയെ മലിനമായോരു വസ്തുപോലെ എറിഞ്ഞുകളകയും പൊയ്ക്കൊ എന്നു പറകയും ചെയ്യും.

Then shall he give the rain of your seed, that you shall sow the ground likewise; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and abundant: in that day shall your cattle feed in large pastures.നീ നിലത്തു വിതെക്കുന്ന വിത്തിന്നു മഴയും നിലത്തിലെ വിളവായ അപ്പവും അവൻ നിനക്കു തരും; അതു പുഷ്ടിയും സമൃദ്ധിയും ഉള്ളതായിരിക്കും; അന്നു നിന്റെ കന്നുകാലികൾ വിസ്താരമായ മേച്ചൽപുറങ്ങളിൽ മേയും.

The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean animal food, which has been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan.നിലം ഉഴുന്ന കാളകളും കഴുതകളും മുറംകൊണ്ടും പല്ലികൊണ്ടും വീശി വെടിപ്പാക്കിയതും ഉപ്പു ചേർത്തതുമായ തീൻ തിന്നും.

And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.മഹാസംഹാരദിവസത്തിൽ ഗോപുരങ്ങൾ വീഴുമ്പോൾ, ഉയരമുള്ള എല്ലാമലയിലും പൊക്കമുള്ള എല്ലാകുന്നിന്മേലും തോടുകളും നീരൊഴുക്കുകളും ഉണ്ടാകും.

Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the breach of his people, and heals the stroke of their wound.യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ മുറിവു കെട്ടുകയും അവരുടെ അടിപ്പിണർ പൊറുപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന നാളിൽ ചന്ദ്രന്റെ പ്രകാശം സൂര്യന്റെ പ്രകാശം പോലെയാകും; സൂര്യന്റെ പ്രകാശം ഏഴു പകലിന്റെ പ്രകാശംപോലെ ഏഴിരട്ടിയായിരിക്കും.

Behold, the name of the LORD comes from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:ഇതാ, കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചും കനത്ത പുക പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ നാമം ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു വരുന്നു; അവന്റെ അധരങ്ങളിൽ ഉഗ്രകോപം നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നാവു ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന തീപോലെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to go astray.ജാതികളെ നാശത്തിന്റെ അരിപ്പകൊണ്ടു അരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്റെ ശ്വാസം കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്നതും കഴുത്തോളം വെള്ളമുള്ളതും ആയ തോടുപോലെയും ജാതികളുടെ വായിൽ അവരെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്ന ഒരു കടിഞ്ഞാണായും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

All of you shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.നിങ്ങൾ ഉത്സവാഘോഷരാത്രിയിൽ എന്നപോലെ പാട്ടുപാടുകയും യഹോവയുടെ പർവ്വതത്തിൽ യിസ്രായേലിൻ പാറയായവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു കുഴലോടുകൂടെ പോകുംപോലെ ഹൃദയപൂർവ്വം സന്തോഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall show the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.യഹോവ തന്റെ മഹത്വമുള്ള മേഘനാദം കേൾപ്പിക്കയും ഉഗ്രകോപത്തോടും ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിജ്വാലയോടും കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു മഴക്കോൾ, കന്മഴ എന്നിവയോടും കൂടെ തന്റെ ഭുജത്തിന്റെ അവതരണം കാണിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which stroke with a rod.യഹോവയുടെ മേഘനാദത്താൽ അശ്ശൂർ തകർന്നുപോകും; തന്റെ വടികൊണ്ടു അവൻ അവനെ അടിക്കും.

And in every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with timbrels and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it.യഹോവ അവനെ വിധിദണ്ഡുകൊണ്ടു അടിക്കുന്ന ഓരോ അടിയോടും കൂടെ തപ്പിന്റെയും കിന്നരത്തിന്റെയും നാദം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും; അവൻ അവരോടു തകർത്ത പടവെട്ടും.

For Tophet is ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he has made it deep and large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, does kindle it.പണ്ടു തന്നേ ഒരു ദഹനസ്ഥലം ഒരുക്കീട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ; അതു രാജാവിന്നായിട്ടും ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ അതിനെ ആഴവും വിശാലവും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ചിതയിൽ വളരെ തീയും വിറകും ഉണ്ടു; യഹോവയുടെ ശ്വാസം ഒരു ഗന്ധകനദിപോലെ അതിനെ കത്തിക്കും.
