Job 28
1
Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold where they fine it.വെള്ളിക്കു ഒരു ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനവും പൊന്നു ഊതിക്കഴിപ്പാൻ ഒരു സ്ഥലവും ഉണ്ടു.

Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass is molten out of the stone.ഇരിമ്പു മണ്ണിൽനിന്നെടുക്കുന്നു; കല്ലുരുക്കി ചെമ്പെടുക്കുന്നു.

He sets an end to darkness, and searches out all perfection: the stones of darkness, and the shadow of death.മനുഷ്യൻ അന്ധകാരത്തിന്നു ഒരതിർ വെക്കുന്നു; കൂരിരുളിലെയും അന്ധതമസ്സിലെയും കല്ലിനെ അങ്ങേയറ്റംവരെ ശോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു.

The flood breaks out from the inhabitant; even the waters forgotten of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone away from men.പാർപ്പുള്ളേടത്തുനിന്നു ദൂരെ അവർ കുഴികുത്തുന്നു; കടന്നുപോകുന്ന കാലിന്നു അവർ മറന്നു പോയവർ തന്നേ; മനുഷ്യർക്കു അകലെ അവർ തൂങ്ങി ആടുന്നു.

As for the earth, out of it comes bread: and under it is turned up as it were fire.ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു ആഹാരം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു; അതിന്റെ അധോഭാഗം തീകൊണ്ടെന്നപോലെ മറിയുന്നു.

The stones of it are the place of sapphires: and it has dust of gold.അതിലെ പാറകൾ നീലരത്നത്തിന്റെ ഉല്പത്തിസ്ഥാനം; കനകപ്പൊടിയും അതിൽ ഉണ്ടു.

There is a path which no fowl knows, and which the vulture's eye has not seen:അതിന്റെ പാത കഴുകൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; പരുന്തിന്റെ കണ്ണു അതിനെ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.

The lion's whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it.പുളെച്ച കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങൾ അതിൽ ചവിട്ടീട്ടില്ല; ഘോരസിംഹം അതിലെ നടന്നിട്ടുമില്ല.

He puts forth his hand upon the rock; he overturns the mountains by the roots.അവർ തീക്കൽപാറയിലേക്കു കൈനീട്ടുന്നു; പർവ്വതങ്ങളെ അവർ വേരോടെ മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.

He cuts out rivers among the rocks; and his eye sees every precious thing.അവർ പാറകളുടെ ഇടയിൽകൂടി നടകളെ വെട്ടുന്നു; അവരുടെ കണ്ണു വിലയേറിയ വസ്തുക്കളെയൊക്കെയും കാണുന്നു.

He binds the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid brings he forth to light.അവർ നീരൊഴുക്കുകളെ ചോരാതവണ്ണം അടെച്ചു നിർത്തുന്നു; ഗുപ്തമായിരിക്കുന്നതു അവർ വെളിച്ചത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു.

But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?എന്നാൽ ജ്ഞാനം എവിടെ കണ്ടുകിട്ടും? വിവേകത്തിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനം എവിടെ?

Man knows not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.അതിന്റെ വില മനുഷ്യൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു അതിനെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നില്ല.

The depth says, It is not in me: and the sea says, It is not with me.അതു എന്നിൽ ഇല്ല എന്നു ആഴി പറയുന്നു; അതു എന്റെ പക്കൽ ഇല്ല എന്നു സമുദ്രവും പറയുന്നു.

It cannot be got for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.തങ്കം കൊടുത്താൽ അതു കിട്ടുന്നതല്ല; അതിന്റെ വിലയായി വെള്ളി തൂക്കിക്കൊടുക്കാറുമില്ല.

It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.ഓഫീർപൊന്നോ വിലയേറിയ ഗോമേദകമോ നീലരത്നമോ ഒന്നും അതിന്നു ഈടാകുന്നതല്ല;

The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold.സ്വർണ്ണവും സ്ഫടികവും അതിനോടു ഒക്കുന്നില്ല; തങ്കം കൊണ്ടുള്ള പണ്ടങ്ങൾക്കു അതിനെ മാറിക്കൊടുപ്പാറില്ല.

No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.പവിഴത്തിന്റെയും പളുങ്കിന്റെയും പേർ മിണ്ടുകേ വേണ്ടാ; ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ വില മുത്തുകളിലും കവിഞ്ഞതല്ലോ.

The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.കൂശിലെ പുഷ്പരാഗം അതിനോടു ഒക്കുന്നില്ല; തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു അതിന്റെ വില മതിക്കാകുന്നതുമല്ല.

Whence then comes wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?പിന്നെ ജ്ഞാനം എവിടെനിന്നു വരുന്നു? വിവേകത്തിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനം എവിടെ?

Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.അതു സകലജീവികളുടെയും കണ്ണുകൾക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികൾക്കു അതു ഗുപ്തമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചെവികൊണ്ടു അതിന്റെ കേൾവി കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു എന്നു നരകവും മരണവും പറയുന്നു.

God understands the way thereof, and he knows the place thereof.ദൈവം അതിന്റെ വഴി അറിയുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനം അവന്നു നിശ്ചയമുണ്ടു.

For he looks to the ends of the earth, and sees under the whole heaven;അവൻ ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളോളവും നോക്കുന്നു; ആകാശത്തിന്റെ കീഴിലൊക്കെയും കാണുന്നു.

To make the weight for the winds; and he weights the waters by measure.അവൻ കാറ്റിനെ തൂക്കിനോക്കുകയും വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ അളവു നിശ്ചയിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:അവൻ മഴെക്കു ഒരു നിയമവും ഇടിമിന്നലിന്നു ഒരു വഴിയും ഉണ്ടാക്കിയപ്പോൾ

Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out.അവൻ അതു കണ്ടു വർണ്ണിക്കയും അതു സ്ഥാപിച്ചു പരിശോധിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.കർത്താവിനോടുള്ള ഭക്തി തന്നേ ജ്ഞാനം; ദോഷം അകന്നു നടക്കുന്നതു തന്നേ വിവേകം എന്നു അവൻ മനുഷ്യനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
