Isaiah 1
1
The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.ആമോസിന്റെ മകനായ യെശയ്യാവു യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരായ ഉസ്സീയാവു, യോഥാം, ആഹാസ്, യെഹിസ്കീയാവു എന്നിവരുടെ കാലത്തു യെഹൂദയെയും യെരൂശലേമിനെയും പറ്റി ദർശിച്ച ദർശനം.

Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the LORD has spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against me.ആകാശമേ, കേൾക്ക; ഭൂമിയേ, ചെവിതരിക; യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ മക്കളെ പോറ്റി വളർത്തി; അവരോ എന്നോടു മത്സരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

The ox knows his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel does not know, my people does not consider.കാള തന്റെ ഉടയവനെയും കഴുത തന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ പുല്തൊട്ടിയെയും അറിയുന്നു; യിസ്രായേലോ അറിയുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ ജനം ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.അയ്യോ പാപമുള്ള ജാതി! അകൃത്യഭാരം ചുമക്കുന്ന ജനം! ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരുടെ സന്തതി! വഷളായി നടക്കുന്ന മക്കൾ! അവർ യഹോവയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ നിരസിച്ചു പുറകോട്ടു മാറിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

Why should all of you be stricken any more? all of you will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.ഇനി നിങ്ങളെ അടിച്ചിട്ടു എന്തു? നിങ്ങൾ അധികം അധികം പിന്മാറുകേയുള്ളു; തല മുഴുവനും ദീനവും ഹൃദയം മുഴുവനും രോഗവും പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and rotting sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.അടിതൊട്ടു മുടിവരെ ഒരു സുഖവും ഇല്ല; മുറിവും ചതവും പഴുത്തവ്രണവും മാത്രമേ ഉള്ളു; അവയെ ഞെക്കി കഴുകീട്ടില്ല, വെച്ചുകെട്ടീട്ടില്ല, എണ്ണ പുരട്ടി ശമിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല.

Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശം ശൂന്യമായി നിങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ തീക്കിരയായി; നിങ്ങൾ കാൺകെ അന്യജാതിക്കാർ നിങ്ങളുടെ നാടു തിന്നുകളയുന്നു; അതു അന്യജാതിക്കാർ ഉന്മൂലനാശം ചെയ്തതു പോലെ ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

And the daughter of Zion is left as a cottage in a vineyard, as a lodge in a garden of cucumbers, as a besieged city.സീയോൻ പുത്രി, മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലെ കുടിൽ പോലെയും വെള്ളരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലെ മാടംപോലെയും നിരോധിച്ച പട്ടണംപോലെയും ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ നമുക്കു അത്യല്പമായോരു ശേഷിപ്പു വെച്ചിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ നാം സൊദോംപോലെ ആകുമായിരുന്നു; ഗൊമോറെക്കു സദൃശമാകുമായിരുന്നു.

Hear the word of the LORD, all of you rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, all of you people of Gomorrah.സൊദോം അധിപതികളേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ; ഗൊമോറജനമേ, നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.

To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? says the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളുടെ ബാഹുല്യം എനിക്കു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; മുട്ടാടുകളെക്കൊണ്ടുള്ള ഹോമയാഗവും തടിപ്പിച്ച മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ മേദസ്സുംകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു മതി വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; കാളകളുടെയോ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളുടെയോ കോലാട്ടുകൊറ്റന്മാരുടെയോ രക്തം എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമല്ല.

When all of you come to appear before me, who has required this at your hand, to tread my courts?നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വരുമ്പോൾ എന്റെ പ്രാകാരങ്ങളെ ചവിട്ടുവാൻ ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിച്ചതു ആർ?

Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.ഇനി നിങ്ങൾ വ്യർത്ഥമായുള്ള കാഴ്ചകൊണ്ടുവരരുതു; ധൂപം എനിക്കു വെറുപ്പാകുന്നു; അമാവാസ്യയും ശബ്ബത്തും സഭായോഗം കൂടുന്നതും--നീതികേടും ഉത്സവയോഗവും എനിക്കു സഹിച്ചുകൂടാ.

Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.നിങ്ങളുടെ അമാവാസ്യകളെയും ഉത്സവങ്ങളെയും ഞാൻ വെറുക്കുന്നു; അവ എനിക്കു അസഹ്യം; ഞാൻ അവ സഹിച്ചു മുഷിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

And when all of you spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when all of you make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.നിങ്ങൾ കൈമലർത്തുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ എന്റെ കണ്ണു മറെച്ചുകളയും; നിങ്ങൾ എത്ര തന്നേ പ്രാർത്ഥനകഴിച്ചാലും ഞാൻ കേൾക്കയില്ല; നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈ രക്തം കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;നിങ്ങളെ കഴുകി വെടിപ്പാക്കുവിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ദോഷത്തെ എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളവിൻ; തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നതു മതിയാക്കുവിൻ.

Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.നന്മ ചെയ്വാൻ പഠിപ്പിൻ; ന്യായം അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ; പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനെ നേർവ്വഴിക്കാക്കുവിൻ; അനാഥന്നു ന്യായം നടത്തിക്കൊടുപ്പിൻ; വിധവെക്കു വേണ്ടി വ്യവഹരിപ്പിൻ.

Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.വരുവിൻ, നമുക്കു തമ്മിൽ വാദിക്കാം എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ കുടുഞ്ചുവപ്പായിരുന്നാലും ഹിമംപോലെ വെളുക്കും; രക്താംബരംപോലെ ചുവപ്പായവിരുന്നാലും പഞ്ഞിപോലെ ആയിത്തീരും.

If all of you be willing and obedient, all of you shall eat the good of the land:നിങ്ങൾ മനസ്സുവെച്ചു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ ദേശത്തിലെ നന്മ അനുഭവിക്കും.
20
But if all of you refuse and rebel, all of you shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.മറുത്തു മത്സരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലോ നിങ്ങൾ വാളിന്നിരയായ്തീരും; യഹോവയുടെ വായ് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.വിശ്വസ്തനഗരം വേശ്യയായി തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ! അതിൽ ന്യായം നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; നീതി വസിച്ചിരുന്നു; ഇപ്പോഴോ, കുലപാതകന്മാർ.

Your silver is become dross, your wine mixed with water:നിന്റെ വെള്ളി കീടമായും നിന്റെ വീഞ്ഞു വെള്ളം ചേർന്നും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

Your princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loves gifts, and follows after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither does the cause of the widow come unto them.നിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ മത്സരികൾ; കള്ളന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടാളികൾ തന്നേ; അവർ ഒക്കെയും സമ്മാനപ്രിയരും പ്രതിഫലം കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നവരും ആകുന്നു; അവർ അനാഥന്നു ന്യായം നടത്തിക്കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ല; വിധവയുടെ വ്യവഹാരം അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നതുമില്ല.

Therefore says the LORD, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വല്ലഭനായി സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഹാ, ഞാൻ എന്റെ വൈരികളോടു പകവീട്ടി എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളോടു പ്രതികാരം നടത്തും.

And I will turn my hand upon you, and thoroughly purge away your dross, and take away all your tin:ഞാൻ എന്റെ കൈ നിന്റെ നേരെ തിരിച്ചു നിന്റെ കീടം തീരെ ഉരുക്കിക്കളകയും നിന്റെ വെള്ളീയം ഒക്കെയും നീക്കിക്കളകയും ചെയ്യും.

And I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counsellors as at the beginning: afterward you shall be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ന്യായാധിപന്മാരെ ആദിയിങ്കൽ എന്നപോലെയും നിന്റെ ആലോചനക്കാരെ ആരംഭത്തിങ്കൽ എന്നപോലെയും ആക്കും; അതിന്റെശേഷം നീ നീതിപുരം എന്നും വിശ്വസ്തനഗരം എന്നും വിളിക്കപ്പെടും.
27
Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.സീയോൻ ന്യായത്താലും അതിൽ മനം തിരിയുന്നവർ നീതിയാലും വീണ്ടെടുക്കപ്പെടും.
28
And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.എന്നാൽ അതിക്രമികൾക്കും പാപികൾക്കും ഒരുപോലെ നാശം ഭവിക്കും; യഹോവയെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവർ മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which all of you have desired, and all of you shall be confounded for the gardens that all of you have chosen.നിങ്ങൾ താല്പര്യം വെച്ചിരുന്ന കരുവേലകങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു നാണിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരുന്ന തോട്ടങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം ലജ്ജിക്കും.
30
For all of you shall be as an oak whose leaf fades, and as a garden that has no water.നിങ്ങൾ ഇല പൊഴിഞ്ഞ കരുവേലകംപോലെയും വെള്ളമില്ലാത്ത തോട്ടംപോലെയും ഇരിക്കും.
31
And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.ബലവാൻ ചണനാരുപോലെയും അവന്റെ പണി തീപ്പൊരിപോലെയും ആകും; കെടുത്തുവാൻ ആരുമില്ലാതെ രണ്ടും ഒരുമിച്ചു വെന്തുപോകും.
