Psalms 40
1
I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.ഞാൻ യഹോവെക്കായി കാത്തുകാത്തിരുന്നു; അവൻ എങ്കലേക്കു ചാഞ്ഞു എന്റെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടു.

He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my activities.നാശകരമായ കുഴിയിൽനിന്നും കുഴഞ്ഞ ചേറ്റിൽനിന്നും അവൻ എന്നെ കയറ്റി; എന്റെ കാലുകളെ ഒരു പാറമേൽ നിർത്തി, എന്റെ ഗമനത്തെ സ്ഥീരമാക്കി.

And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.അവൻ എന്റെ വായിൽ പുതിയോരു പാട്ടുതന്നു, നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തുതി തന്നേ; പലരും അതു കണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെട്ടു യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കും.

Blessed is that man that makes the LORD his trust, and respects not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.യഹോവയെ തന്റെ ആശ്രയമാക്കിക്കൊള്ളുകയും നിഗളികളെയും വ്യാജത്തിലേക്കു തിരിയുന്നവരെയും ആദരിക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.

Many, O LORD my God, are your wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are toward us: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto you: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികളും ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള നിന്റെ വിചാരങ്ങളും വളരെയാകുന്നു; നിന്നോടു സദൃശൻ ആരുമില്ല; ഞാൻ അവയെ വിവരിച്ചു പ്രസ്താവിക്കുമായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവ എണ്ണിക്കൂടാതവണ്ണം അധികമാകുന്നു.

Sacrifice and offering you did not desire; mine ears have you opened: burnt offering and sin offering have you not required.ഹനനയാഗവും ഭോജനയാഗവും നീ ഇച്ഛിച്ചില്ല; നീ ചെവികളെ എനിക്കു തുളെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഹോമയാഗവും പാപയാഗവും നീ ചോദിച്ചില്ല.

Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു; ഇതാ, ഞാൻ വരുന്നു; പുസ്തകച്ചുരുളിൽ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു;

I delight to do your will, O my God: yea, your law is within my heart.എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ചെയ്വാൻ ഞാൻ പ്രിയപ്പെടുന്നു; നിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, you know.ഞാൻ മഹാസഭയിൽ നീതിയെ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു; അധരങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ അടക്കീട്ടില്ല; യഹോവേ, നീ അറിയുന്നു.

I have not hid your righteousness within my heart; I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation: I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great congregation.ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നീതിയെ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ മറച്ചുവെച്ചില്ല; നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തതയും രക്ഷയും ഞാൻ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു; നിന്റെ ദയയും സത്യവും ഞാൻ മഹാസഭെക്കു മറെച്ചതുമില്ല.

Withhold not you your tender mercies from me, O LORD: let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ കരുണ നീ എനിക്കു അടെച്ചുകളയില്ല; നിന്റെ ദയയും സത്യവും എന്നെ നിത്യം പരിപാലിക്കും.

For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart fails me.സംഖ്യയില്ലാത്ത അനർത്ഥങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; മേല്പെട്ടു നോക്കുവാൻ കഴിയാതവണ്ണം എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ എന്നെ എത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ എന്റെ തലയിലെ രോമങ്ങളിലും അധികം; ഞാൻ ധൈര്യഹീനനായിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.യഹോവേ, എന്നെ വിടുവിപ്പാൻ ഇഷ്ടം തോന്നേണമേ; യഹോവേ, എന്നെ സഹായിപ്പാൻ വേഗം വരേണമേ.

Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.എനിക്കു ജീവഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവർ ലജ്ജിച്ചു ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ; എന്റെ അനർത്ഥത്തിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നവർ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു അപമാനം ഏൽക്കട്ടെ.

Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.നന്നായി, നന്നായി എന്നു എന്നോടു പറയുന്നവർ തങ്ങളുടെ നാണംനിമിത്തം സ്തംഭിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ.

Let all those that seek you rejoice and be glad in you: let such as love your salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.നിന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും നിന്നിൽ ആനന്ദിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കട്ടെ; നിന്റെ രക്ഷയെ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവർ യഹോവ മഹത്വമുള്ളവൻ എന്നു എപ്പോഴും പറയട്ടെ.

But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinks upon me: you are my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.ഞാനോ എളിയവനും ദരിദ്രനും ആകുന്നു; എങ്കിലും കർത്താവു എന്നെ വിചാരിക്കുന്നു; നീ തന്നേ എന്റെ സഹായവും എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കുന്നവനും ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, താമസിക്കരുതേ.
