Isaiah 31

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കുകയോ യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെ സഹായത്തിന്നായി മിസ്രയീമിൽചെന്നു കുതിരകളിൽ മനസ്സു ഊന്നി രഥം അനവധിയുള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു അതിലും കുതിരച്ചേവകർ മഹാബലവാന്മാരാകകൊണ്ടു അവരിലും ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവർക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words: but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of them that work iniquity.എന്നാൽ അവനും ജ്ഞാനിയാകുന്നു; അവൻ അനർത്ഥം വരുത്തും; തന്റെ വചനം മാറ്റുകയില്ല; അവൻ ദുഷ്കർമ്മികളുടെ ഗൃഹത്തിന്നും ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരുടെ സഹായത്തിന്നും വിരോധമായി എഴുന്നേല്ക്കും.

Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his hand, both he that helps shall fall, and he that is helped shall fall down, and they all shall fail together.മിസ്രയീമ്യർ ദൈവമല്ല, മനുഷ്യരത്രേ; അവരുടെ കുതിരകൾ ആത്മാവല്ല, ജഡമത്രേ; യഹോവ തന്റെ കൈ നീട്ടുമ്പോൾ സഹായിക്കുന്നവൻ ഇടറുകയും സഹായിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവൻ വീഴുകയും അവരെല്ലാവരും ഒരുപോലെ നശിച്ചുപോകയും ചെയ്യും.

For thus has the LORD spoken unto me, Like the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor bring low himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.യഹോവ എന്നോടു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു: സിംഹമോ, ബാലസിംഹമോ ഇരകണ്ടു മുരളുമ്പോൾ ഇടയക്കൂട്ടത്തെ അതിന്റെ നേരെ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടിയാലും അതു അവരുടെ ക്കുക്കുവിളികൊണ്ടു പേടിക്കാതെയും അവരുടെ ആരവംകൊണ്ടു ചുളുങ്ങാതെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ സീയോൻ പർവ്വതത്തിലും അതിന്റെ ഗിരിയിലും യുദ്ധം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ഇറങ്ങിവരും.

As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.പക്ഷി ചുറ്റിപ്പറന്നു കാക്കുന്നതുപോലെ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ യെരൂശലേമിനെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളും. അവൻ അതിനെ കാത്തുരക്ഷിക്കും; നശിപ്പിക്കാതെ അതിനെ പരിപാലിക്കും.

Turn all of you unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളേ, നിങ്ങൾ ഇത്ര കഠിനമായി മത്സരിച്ചു ത്യജിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞവന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിവിൻ.

For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.അന്നാളിൽ നിങ്ങളിൽ ഓരോരുത്തൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈകൾ നിങ്ങൾക്കു പാപത്തിന്നായി വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നുംകൊണ്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂർത്തികളെ ത്യജിച്ചുകളയും.

Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be humiliated.എന്നാൽ അശ്ശൂർ പുരുഷന്റേതല്ലാത്ത വാളാൽ വീഴും; മനുഷ്യന്റേതല്ലാത്ത വാളിന്നു ഇരയായിത്തീരും; അവർ വാളിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞു ഓടിപ്പോയാൽ അവരുടെ യൌവനക്കാർ ഊഴിയവേലക്കാരായിത്തീരും.

And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the explicit sign, says the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.ഭീതിഹേതുവായി അവരുടെ പാറ പൊയ്പോകും; അവരുടെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ കൊടി കണ്ടു നടുങ്ങിപ്പോകും എന്നു സീയോനിൽ തീയും യെരൂശലേമിൽ ചൂളയും ഉള്ള യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Isaiah 32

Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.ഒരു രാജാവു നീതിയോടെ വാഴും; പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ ന്യായത്തോടെ അധികാരം നടത്തും.

And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.ഓരോരുത്തൻ കാറ്റിന്നു ഒരു മറവും പിശറിന്നു ഒരു സങ്കേതവും ആയി വരണ്ട നിലത്തു നീർത്തോടുകൾപോലെയും ക്ഷീണമുള്ള ദേശത്തു ഒരു വമ്പാറയുടെ തണൽപോലെയും ഇരിക്കും.

And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.കാണുന്നവരുടെ കണ്ണു ഇനി മങ്ങുകയില്ല; കേൾക്കുന്നവരുടെ ചെവി ശ്രദ്ധിക്കും.

The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.അവിവേകികളുടെ ഹൃദയം പരിജ്ഞാനം ഗ്രഹിക്കും; വിക്കന്മാരുടെ നാവു തടവില്ലാതെ വ്യക്തമായി സംസാരിക്കും.

The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful.ഭോഷനെ ഇനി ഉത്തമൻ എന്നു വിളിക്കയില്ല; ആഭാസനെ മഹാത്മാവെന്നു പറകയുമില്ല.

For the vile person will speak villainy, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.ഭോഷൻ ഭോഷത്വം സംസാരിക്കും; വഷളത്വം ചെയ്തും യഹോവെക്കു വിരോധമായി അബദ്ധം സംസാരിച്ചും വിശപ്പുള്ളവരെ പട്ടിണിയിട്ടും ദാഹമുള്ളവർക്കു പാനം മുടക്കിയുംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം നീതികേടും പ്രവർത്തിക്കും.

The instruments also of the churl are evil: he devises wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.ആഭാസന്റെ ആയുധങ്ങളും ദോഷമുള്ളവ; ദരിദ്രൻ ന്യായമായി സംസാരിച്ചാലും എളിയവരെ വ്യാജവാക്കുകൊണ്ടു നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ അവൻ ദുരുപായങ്ങളെ നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു.

But the liberal devises liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.ഉത്തമനോ ഉത്തമകാര്യങ്ങളെ ചിന്തിക്കന്നു; ഉത്തമകാര്യങ്ങളിൽ അവൻ ഉറ്റുനില്ക്കുന്നു.

Rise up, all of you women that are at ease; hear my voice, all of you careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.സ്വൈരമായിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീകളേ, എഴുന്നേറ്റു എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾപ്പിൻ; ചിന്തയില്ലാത്ത പെണ്ണുങ്ങളേ, എന്റെ വചനം ശ്രദ്ധിപ്പിൻ.

Many days and years shall all of you be troubled, all of you careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.ചിന്തയില്ലാത്ത പെണ്ണുങ്ങളേ, ഒരാണ്ടും കുറെ നാളും കഴിയുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ നടുങ്ങിപ്പോകും; മുന്തിരിക്കൊയ്ത്തു നഷ്ടമാകും; ഫലശേഖരം ഉണ്ടാകയുമില്ല.

Tremble, all of you women that are at ease; be troubled, all of you careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird sackcloth upon your loins.സ്വൈരമായിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീകളേ, വിറെപ്പിൻ; ചിന്തിയില്ലാത്ത പെണ്ണുങ്ങളേ, നടുങ്ങുവിൻ; വസ്ത്രം ഉരിഞ്ഞു നഗ്നമാരാകുവിൻ; അരയിൽ രട്ടു കെട്ടുവിൻ.

They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.മനോഹരമായ വയലുകളേയും ഫലപുഷ്ടിയുള്ള മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയേയും ഓർത്തു അവർ മാറത്തു അടിക്കും.

¹³

Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city:എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ദേശത്തു ഉല്ലസിതനഗരത്തിലെ സകലസന്തോഷഭവനങ്ങളിലും മുള്ളും പറക്കാരയും മുളെക്കും.

Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;അരമന ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും; ജനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ള നഗരം നിർജ്ജനമായിത്തീരും; കുന്നും കാവൽമാളികയും സദാകാലത്തേക്കും ഗുഹകളായി ഭവിക്കും; അവ കാട്ടുകഴുതകളുടെ സന്തോഷസ്ഥാനവും ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടങ്ങളുടെ മേച്ചൽപുറവും ആയിരിക്കും.

¹⁵

Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്നു ആത്മാവിനെ നമ്മുടെമേൽ പകരുവോളം തന്നേ; അപ്പോൾ മരുഭൂമി ഉദ്യാനമായിത്തീരും; ഉദ്യാനം വനമായി എണ്ണപ്പെടും.

¹⁶

Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.അന്നു മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ന്യായം വസിക്കും; ഉദ്യാനത്തിൽ നീതി പാർക്കും.

¹⁷

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.നീതിയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തി സമാധാനവും നീതിയുടെ ഫലം ശാശ്വതവിശ്രാമവും നിർഭയതയും ആയിരിക്കും.

And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;എന്റെ ജനം സമാധാനനിവാസത്തിലും നിർഭയവസതികളിലും സ്വൈരമുള്ള വിശ്രാമസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും പാർക്കും.

When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.എന്നാൽ വനത്തിന്റെ വീഴ്ചെക്കു കന്മഴ പെയ്കയും നഗരം അശേഷം നിലംപരിചാകയും ചെയ്യും.

Blessed are all of you that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass.വെള്ളത്തിന്നരികത്തെല്ലാം വിതെക്കയും കാളയെയും കഴുതയെയും അഴിച്ചുവിടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവരേ, നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഭാഗ്യം!

Isaiah 33

Woe to you that spoil, and you were not spoiled; and deal treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with you! when you shall cease to spoil, you shall be spoiled; and when you shall make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with you.സാഹസം അനുഭവിക്കാതെ സാഹസം ചെയ്കയും നിന്നോടു ആരും ദ്രോഹം പ്രവർത്തിക്കാതെ ദ്രോഹം പ്രവർത്തിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവനേ, നിനക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! നീ സാഹസം ചെയ്യുന്നതു നിർത്തുമ്പോൾ നിന്നെയും സാഹസം ചെയ്യും; നീ ദ്രോഹം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നതു മതിയാക്കുമ്പോൾ നിന്നോടും ദ്രോഹം പ്രവർത്തിക്കും.

O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for you: be you their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങളോടു കൃപയുണ്ടാകേണമേ; ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; രാവിലെതോറും നീ അവർക്കു ഭുജവും കഷ്ടകാലത്തു ഞങ്ങൾക്കു രക്ഷയും ആയിരിക്കേണമേ.

At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of yourself the nations were scattered.കോലാഹലം ഹേതുവായി വംശങ്ങൾ ഓടിപ്പോയി; നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റപ്പോൾ ജാതികൾ ചിതറിപ്പോയി.

And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpillar: as the running back and forth of locusts shall he run upon them.നിങ്ങളുടെ കവർച്ച തുള്ളൻ ശേഖരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ശേഖരിക്കപ്പെടും വെട്ടുക്കിളി ചാടി വീഴുന്നതുപോലെ അവർ അതിന്മേൽ ചാടിവീഴും.

The LORD is exalted; for he dwells on high: he has filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.യഹോവ ഉന്നതനായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഉയരത്തിലല്ലോ അവൻ വസിക്കുന്നതു; അവൻ സീയോനെ ന്യായവും നീതിയുംകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of your times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.നിന്റെ കാലത്തു സ്ഥിരതയും രക്ഷാസമൃദ്ധിയും ജ്ഞാനവും പരിജ്ഞാനവും ഉണ്ടാകും; യഹോവാഭക്തി അവരുടെ നിക്ഷേപം ആയിരിക്കും.

Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.ഇതാ അവരുടെ ശൌർയ്യവാന്മാർ പുറത്തു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ ദൂതന്മാർ അതിദുഃഖത്തോടെ കരയുന്നു.

The highways lie waste, the travelling man ceases: he has broken the covenant, he has despised the cities, he regards no man.പെരുവഴികൾ ശൂന്യമായ്ക്കിടക്കുന്നു; വഴി പോക്കർ ഇല്ലാതെയായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ ഉടമ്പടി ലംഘിച്ചു, പട്ടണങ്ങളെ നിന്ദിച്ചു: ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെയും അവൻ ആദരിക്കുന്നില്ല.

The earth mourns and languishes: Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits.ദേശം ദുഃഖിച്ചു ക്ഷയിക്കുന്നു; ലെബാനോൻ ലജ്ജിച്ചു വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു; ശാരോൻ മരുഭൂമിപോലെ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു; ബാശാനും കർമ്മേലും ഇലപൊഴിക്കുന്നു.

Now will I rise, says the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കും; ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ എന്നെത്തന്നേ ഉയർത്തും; ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ഉന്നതനായിരിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

All of you shall conceive chaff, all of you shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you.നിങ്ങൾ വൈക്കോലിനെ ഗർഭം ധരിച്ചു താളടിയെ പ്രസവിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ ശ്വാസം തീയായിനിങ്ങളെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.

And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.വംശങ്ങൾ കുമ്മായം ചുടുന്നതുപോലെ ആകും; വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞ മുള്ളുപോലെ അവരെ തീയിൽ ഇട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളയും.

Hear, all of you that are far off, what I have done; and, all of you that are near, acknowledge my might.ദൂരസ്ഥന്മാരേ, ഞാൻ ചെയ്തതു കേൾപ്പിൻ; സമീപസ്ഥന്മാരേ, എന്റെ വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികൾ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിൻ.

The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness has surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?സീയോനിലെ പാപികൾ പേടിക്കുന്നു; വഷളന്മാരായവർക്കു നടുക്കം പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നമ്മിൽ ആർ ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന തീയുടെ അടുക്കൽ പാർക്കും? നമ്മിൽ ആർ നിത്യദഹനങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ പാർക്കും?

He that walks righteously, and speaks uprightly; he that despises the gain of oppressions, that shakes his hands from holding of bribes, that stops his ears from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil;നീതിയായി നടന്നു നേർ പറകയും പീഡനത്താൽ ഉള്ള ആദായം വെറുക്കയും കൈക്കൂലിവാങ്ങാതെ കൈ കുടഞ്ഞുകളകയും രക്ത പാതകത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു കേൾക്കാതവണ്ണം ചെവി പൊത്തുകയും ദോഷത്തെ കണ്ടു രസിക്കാതവണ്ണം കണ്ണു അടെച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ;

He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവൻ ഉയരത്തിൽ വസിക്കും; പാറക്കോട്ടകൾ അവന്റെ അഭയസ്ഥാനമായിരിക്കും; അവന്റെ അപ്പം അവന്നു കിട്ടും;

Yours eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.അവന്നു വെള്ളം മുട്ടിപ്പോകയുമില്ല. നിന്റെ കണ്ണു രാജാവിനെ അവന്റെ സൌന്ദര്യത്തോടെ ദർശിക്കും; വിശാലമായോരു ദേശം കാണും.

Yours heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?പണം എണ്ണുന്നവൻ എവിടെ? തൂക്കിനോക്കുന്നവൻ എവിടെ? ഗോപുരങ്ങളെ എണ്ണുന്നവൻ എവിടെ? എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം ഭീതിയെക്കുറിച്ചു ധ്യാനിക്കും.

You shall not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than you can perceive; of a stammering tongue, that you can not understand.നീ തിരിച്ചറിയാത്ത പ്രായസമുള്ള വാക്കും നിനക്കു ഗ്രഹിച്ചു കൂടാത്ത അന്യഭാഷയും ഉള്ള ഉഗ്രജാതിയെ നീ കാണുകയില്ല.

Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: yours eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.നമ്മുടെ ഉത്സവങ്ങളുടെ നഗരമായ സീയോനെ നോക്കുക; നിന്റെ കണ്ണു യെരൂശലേമിനെ സ്വൈരനിവാസമായും ഒരിക്കലും നീങ്ങിപ്പോകാത്തതും കുറ്റി ഒരുനാളും ഇളകിപ്പോകാത്തതും കയറു ഒന്നും പൊട്ടിപ്പോകാത്തതുമായ കൂടാരമായും കാണും.

But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.അവിടെ മഹിമയുള്ളവനായ യഹോവ നമുക്കു വീതിയുള്ള നദികൾക്കും തോടുകൾക്കും പകരമായിരിക്കും; തണ്ടുവെച്ച പടകു അതിൽ നടക്കയില്ല; പ്രതാപമുള്ള കപ്പൽ അതിൽകൂടി കടന്നുപോകയുമില്ല.

For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ ന്യായാധിപൻ; യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ ന്യായദാതാവു; യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ രാജാവു; അവൻ നമ്മെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

Your tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey.നിന്റെ കയറു അഴിഞ്ഞുകിടക്കുന്നു; അതിനാൽ പാമരത്തെ ചുവട്ടിൽ ഉറപ്പിച്ചുകൂടാ; പായ് നിവിർത്തുകൂടാ. പിടിച്ചു പറിച്ച വലിയ കൊള്ള അന്നു വിഭാഗിക്കപ്പെടും; മുടന്തരും കൊള്ളയിടും.

²⁴

And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.എനിക്കു ദീനം എന്നു യാതൊരു നിവാസിയും പറകയില്ല; അതിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന ജനത്തിന്റെ അകൃത്യം മോചിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.
