A wise son hears his father's instruction: but a scorner hears not rebuke.ജ്ഞാനമുള്ള മകൻ അപ്പന്റെ പ്രബോധനഫലം; പരിഹാസിയോ ശാസന കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുന്നില്ല.

A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.തന്റെ വായുടെ ഫലത്താൽ മനുഷ്യൻ നന്മ അനുഭവിക്കും; ദ്രോഹികളുടെ ആഗ്രഹമോ സാഹസം തന്നേ.

He that keeps his mouth keeps his life: but he that opens wide his lips shall have destruction.വായെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളുന്നവൻ പ്രാണനെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; അധരങ്ങളെ പിളർക്കുന്നവന്നോ നാശം ഭവിക്കും.

The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.മടിയൻ കൊതിച്ചിട്ടും ഒന്നും കിട്ടുന്നില്ല; ഉത്സാഹികളുടെ പ്രാണന്നോ പുഷ്ടിയുണ്ടാകും.

A righteous man hates lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and comes to shame.നീതിമാൻ ഭോഷ്കു വെറുക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടനോ ലജ്ജയും നിന്ദയും വരുത്തുന്നു.

Righteousness keeps him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthrows the sinner.നീതി സന്മാർഗ്ഗിയെ കാക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടതയോ പാപിയെ മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.

There is that makes himself rich, yet has nothing: there is that makes himself poor, yet has great riches.ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാഞ്ഞിട്ടും ധനികൻ എന്നു നടിക്കുന്നവൻ ഉണ്ടു; വളരെ ധനം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടും ദരിദ്രൻ എന്നു നടിക്കുന്നവനും ഉണ്ടു;

The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor hears not rebuke.മനുഷ്യന്റെ ജീവന്നു മറുവില അവന്റെ സമ്പത്തു തന്നേ; ദരിദ്രനോ ഭീഷണിപോലും കേൾക്കേണ്ടിവരുന്നില്ല

The light of the righteous rejoices: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.നീതിമാന്റെ വെളിച്ചം പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വിളക്കോ കെട്ടുപോകും.

Only by pride comes contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.അഹങ്കാരംകൊണ്ടു വിവാദംമാത്രം ഉണ്ടാകുന്നു; ആലോചന കേൾക്കുന്നവരുടെ പക്കലോ ജ്ഞാനം ഉണ്ടു;

Wealth got by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathers by labour shall increase.അന്യായമായി സമ്പാദിച്ച ധനം കുറഞ്ഞു കുറഞ്ഞു പോകും; അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചു സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നവനോ വർദ്ധിച്ചു വർദ്ധിച്ചു വരും.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick: but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.ആശാവിളംബനം ഹൃദയത്തെ ക്ഷീണിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ഇച്ഛാനിവൃത്തിയോ ജീവവൃക്ഷം തന്നേ.

Whoso despises the word shall be destroyed: but he that fears the commandment shall be rewarded.വചനത്തെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നവൻ അതിന്നു ഉത്തരവാദി. കല്പനയെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നവനോ പ്രതിഫലം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു.

The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.ജ്ഞാനിയുടെ ഉപദേശം ജീവന്റെ ഉറവാകുന്നു; അതിനാൽ മരണത്തിന്റെ കണികളെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

Good understanding gives favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.സൽബുദ്ധിയാൽ രഞ്ജനയുണ്ടാകുന്നു; ദ്രോഹിയുടെ വഴിയോ ദുർഘടം.

Every prudent man deals with knowledge: but a fool lays open his folly.സൂക്ഷ്മബുദ്ധിയുള്ള ഏവനും പരിജ്ഞാനത്തോടെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു; ഭോഷനോ തന്റെ ഭോഷത്വം വിടർത്തു കാണിക്കുന്നു.

A wicked messenger falls into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.ദുഷ്ടദൂതൻ ദോഷത്തിൽ അകപ്പെടുന്നു; വിശ്വസ്തനായ സ്ഥാനാപതിയോ സുഖം നല്കുന്നു.

Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuses instruction: but he that regards reproof shall be honoured.പ്രബോധനം ത്യജിക്കുന്നവന്നു ദാരിദ്ര്യവും ലജ്ജയും വരും. ശാസനകൂട്ടാക്കുന്നവനോ ബഹുമാനം ലഭിക്കും.

The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart from evil.ഇച്ഛാനിവൃത്തി മനസ്സിന്നു മധുരമാകുന്നു; ദോഷം വിട്ടകലുന്നതോ ഭോഷന്മാർക്കു വെറുപ്പു.

He that walks with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.ജ്ഞാനികളോടുകൂടെ നടക്ക; നീയും ജ്ഞാനിയാകും; ഭോഷന്മാർക്കു കൂട്ടാളിയായവനോ വ്യസനിക്കേണ്ടിവരും.

Evil pursues sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repaid.ദോഷം പാപികളെ പിന്തുടരുന്നു; നീതിമാന്മാർക്കോ നന്മ പ്രതിഫലമായി വരും.

A good man left an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.ഗുണവാൻ മക്കളുടെ മക്കൾക്കു അവകാശം വെച്ചേക്കുന്നു; പാപിയുടെ സമ്പത്തോ നീതിമാന്നു വേണ്ടി സംഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.

Much food is in the tillage of the poor: but there is that is destroyed for lack of judgment.സാധുക്കളുടെ കൃഷി വളരെ ആഹാരം നല്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അന്യായം ചെയ്തിട്ടു നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നവരും ഉണ്ടു.

He that spares his rod hates his son: but he that loves him chastens him early.വടി ഉപയോഗിക്കാത്തവൻ തന്റെ മകനെ പകെക്കുന്നു; അവനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവനോ ചെറുപ്പത്തിലേ അവനെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

The righteous eats to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall lack.നീതിമാൻ വേണ്ടുവോളം ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വയറോ വിശന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും.

Proverbs 14

1
Every wise woman builds her house: but the foolish plucks it down with her hands.സ്ത്രീകളിൽ ജ്ഞാനമുള്ളവൾ തന്റെ വീടു പണിയുന്നു; ഭോഷത്വമുള്ളവളോ അതു സ്വന്തകൈകളാൽ പൊളിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.

He that walks in his uprightness fears the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despises him.നേരായി നടക്കുന്നവൻ യഹോവാഭക്തൻ; നടപ്പിൽ വക്രതയുള്ളവനോ അവനെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു.

In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.ഭോഷന്റെവായിൽ ഡംഭത്തിന്റെ വടിയുണ്ടു; ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ അധരങ്ങളോ അവരെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളുന്നു.

Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox.കാളകൾ ഇല്ലാത്തെടത്തു തൊഴുത്തു വെടിപ്പുള്ളതു; കാളയുടെ ശക്തികൊണ്ടോ വളരെ ആദായം ഉണ്ടു.

A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.വിശ്വസ്തസാക്ഷി ഭോഷ്കു പറകയില്ല; കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷിയോ ഭോഷ്കു നിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു.

A scorner seeks wisdom, and finds it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understands.പരിഹാസി ജ്ഞാനം അന്വേഷിച്ചിട്ടും കണ്ടെത്തുന്നില്ല; വിവേകമുള്ളവന്നോ പരിജ്ഞാനം എളുപ്പം.

Go from the presence of a foolish man, when you perceive not in him the lips of knowledge.മൂഢന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു മാറിപ്പോക; പരിജ്ഞാനമുള്ള അധരങ്ങൾ നീ അവനിൽ കാണുകയില്ല.

The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.വഴി തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നതു വിവേകിയുടെ ജ്ഞാനം; ചതിക്കുന്നതോ ഭോഷന്മാരുടെ ഭോഷത്വം.

Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.ഭോഷന്മാരെ അകൃത്യയാഗം പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു. നേരുള്ളവർക്കോ തമ്മിൽ പ്രീതി ഉണ്ടു.

The heart knows his own bitterness; and a stranger does not intermeddle with his joy.ഹൃദയം സ്വന്തദുഃഖത്തെ അറിയുന്നു; അതിന്റെ സന്തോഷത്തിലും അന്യൻ ഇടപെടുന്നില്ല.

The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വീടു മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; നീതിമാന്റെ കൂടാരമോ തഴെക്കും.

There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.ചിലപ്പോൾ ഒരു വഴി മനുഷ്യന്നു ചൊവ്വായി തോന്നും; അതിന്റെ അവസാനമോ മരണവഴികൾ അത്രേ.

Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that delight is heaviness.ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേയും ഹൃദയം ദുഃഖിച്ചിരിക്കാം; സന്തോഷത്തിന്റെ അവസാനം ദുഃഖമാകയുമാം.

The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.ഹൃദയത്തിൽ വിശ്വാസത്യാഗമുള്ളവന്നു തന്റെ നടപ്പിൽ മടുപ്പുവരും; നല്ല മനുഷ്യനോ തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയാൽ തന്നേ തൃപ്തിവരും.

The simple believes every word: but the prudent man looks well to his going.അല്പബുദ്ധി ഏതു വാക്കും വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു; സൂക്ഷ്മബുദ്ധിയോ തന്റെ നടപ്പു സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നു.

A wise man fears, and departs from evil: but the fool rages, and is confident.ജ്ഞാനി ഭയപ്പെട്ടു ദോഷം അകറ്റിനടക്കുന്നു; ഭോഷനോ ധിക്കാരംപൂണ്ടു നിർഭയനായി നടക്കുന്നു.

He that is soon angry deals foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.മുൻകോപി ഭോഷത്വം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു. ദുരുപായി ദ്വേഷിക്കപ്പെടും.

The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.അല്പബുദ്ധികൾ ഭോഷത്വം അവകാശമാക്കിക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; സൂക്ഷ്മബുദ്ധികളോ പരിജ്ഞാനം അണിയുന്നു.

The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.ദുർജ്ജനം സജ്ജനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിലും ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ വാതിൽക്കലും വണങ്ങിനില്ക്കുന്നു.

The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich has many friends.ദരിദ്രനെ കൂട്ടുകാരൻ പോലും പകെക്കുന്നു; ധനവാന്നോ വളരെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാർ ഉണ്ടു.

He that despises his neighbour sins: but he that has mercy on the poor, happy is he.കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നവൻ പാപം ചെയ്യുന്നു; എളിയവരോടു കൃപകാണിക്കുന്നവനോ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.

Do they not go astray that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.ദോഷം നിരൂപിക്കുന്നവർ ഉഴന്നുപോകുന്നില്ലയോ? നന്മ നിരൂപിക്കുന്നവർക്കോ ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയും ലഭിക്കുന്നു.

In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tends only to destitution.എല്ലാ തൊഴിലുംകൊണ്ടു ലാഭം വരും; അധരചർവ്വണംകൊണ്ടോ ഞെരുക്കമേ വരു.

The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ ധനം അവർക്കു കിരീടം; മൂഢന്മാരുടെ ഭോഷത്വമോ ഭോഷത്വം തന്നെ.
25
A true witness delivers souls: but a deceitful witness speaks lies.സത്യസാക്ഷി പ്രാണരക്ഷ ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഭോഷ്കു നിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവനോ വഞ്ചന ചെയ്യുന്നു.

In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.യഹോവാഭക്തന്നു ദൃഢധൈര്യം ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ മക്കൾക്കും ശരണം ഉണ്ടാകും.
27
The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.യഹോവാഭക്തി ജീവന്റെ ഉറവാകുന്നു; അതിനാൽ മരണത്തിന്റെ കണികളെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

In the multitude of people is the king's honour: but in the lack of people is the destruction of the prince.പ്രജാബാഹുല്യം രാജാവിന്നു ബഹുമാനം; പ്രജാന്യൂനതയോ പ്രഭുവിന്നു നാശം.

He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalts folly.ദീർഘക്ഷമയുള്ളവൻ മഹാബുദ്ധിമാൻ; മുൻകോപിയോ ഭോഷത്വം ഉയർത്തുന്നു.

A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.ശാന്തമനസ്സു ദേഹത്തിന്നു ജീവൻ; അസൂയയോ അസ്തികൾക്കു ദ്രവത്വം.

He that oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker: but he that honors him has mercy on the poor.എളിയവനെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ അവന്റെ സ്രഷ്ടാവിനെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു; ദരിദ്രനോടു കൃപകാണിക്കുന്നവനോ അവനെ ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നു.

The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous has hope in his death.ദുഷ്ടന്നു തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടതയാൽ വീഴ്ച വരുന്നു; നീതിമാന്നോ മരണത്തിലും പ്രത്യാശയുണ്ടു.

Wisdom rests in the heart of him that has understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.വിവേകമുള്ളവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ജ്ഞാനം അടങ്ങിപ്പാർക്കുന്നു; മൂഢന്മാരുടെ അന്തരംഗത്തിൽ ഉള്ളതോ വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു.

Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.നീതി ജാതിയെ ഉയർത്തുന്നു; പാപമോ വംശങ്ങൾക്കു അപമാനം.

The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causes shame.ബുദ്ധിമാനായ ദാസന്നു രാജാവിന്റെ പ്രീതി ലഭിക്കുന്നു. നാണംകെട്ടവന്നോ അവന്റെ കോപം നേരിടും.

Proverbs 15

1
A soft answer turns away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.മൃദുവായ ഉത്തരം ക്രോധത്തെ ശമിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; കഠിനവാക്കോ കോപത്തെ ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

The tongue of the wise uses knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness.ജ്ഞാനിയുടെ നാവു നല്ല പരിജ്ഞാനം പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു. മൂഢന്മാരുടെ വായോ ഭോഷത്വം പൊഴിക്കുന്നു.

The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.യഹോവയുടെ കണ്ണു എല്ലാടവും ഉണ്ടു; ആകാത്തവരെയും നല്ലവരെയും നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.നാവിന്റെ ശാന്തത ജീവവൃക്ഷം; അതിന്റെ വക്രതയോ മനോവ്യസനം.

A fool despises his father's instruction: but he that regards reproof is prudent.ഭോഷൻ അപ്പന്റെ പ്രബോധനം നിരസിക്കുന്നു; ശാസനയെ കൂട്ടാക്കുന്നവനോ വിവേകിയായ്തീരും.

In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.നീതിമാന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ വളരെ നിക്ഷേപം ഉണ്ടു; ദുഷ്ടന്റെ ആദായത്തിലോ അനർത്ഥം.

The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish does not so.ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ അധരങ്ങൾ പരിജ്ഞാനം വിതറുന്നു; മൂഢന്മാരുടെ ഹൃദയമോ നേരുള്ളതല്ല.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ യാഗം യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പു; നേരുള്ളവരുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയോ അവന്നു പ്രസാദം.

The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loves him that follows after righteousness.ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വഴി യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പു; എന്നാൽ നീതിയെ പിന്തുടരുന്നവനെ അവൻ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

Correction is grievous unto him that forsakes the way: and he that hates reproof shall die.സന്മാർഗ്ഗം ത്യജിക്കുന്നവന്നു കഠിനശിക്ഷ വരും; ശാസന വെറുക്കുന്നവൻ മരിക്കും.

Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?പാതാളവും നരകവും യഹോവയുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങൾ എത്ര അധികം!

A scorner loves not one that reproves him: neither will he go unto the wise.പരിഹാസി ശാസന ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നില്ല; ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുന്നതുമില്ല.

A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.സന്തോഷമുള്ള ഹൃദയം മുഖപ്രസാദമുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; ഹൃദയത്തിലെ വ്യസനംകൊണ്ടോ ധൈര്യം ക്ഷയിക്കുന്നു.

The heart of him that has understanding seeks knowledge: but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.വിവേകമുള്ളവന്റെ ഹൃദയം പരിജ്ഞാനം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു; മൂഢന്മാരുടെ വായോ ഭോഷത്വം ആചരിക്കുന്നു.

All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart has a continual feast.അരിഷ്ടന്റെ ജീവനാൾ ഒക്കെയും കഷ്ടകാലം; സന്തുഷ്ടഹൃദയന്നോ നിത്യം ഉത്സവം.

Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.ബഹു നിക്ഷേപവും അതിനോടുകൂടെ കഷ്ടതയും ഉള്ളതിനെക്കാൾ യഹോവാഭക്തിയോടുകൂടെ അല്പധനം ഉള്ളതു നന്നു.

Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.ദ്വേഷമുള്ളെടത്തെ തടിപ്പിച്ച കാളയെക്കാൾ സ്നേഹമുള്ളെടത്തെ ശാകഭോജനം നല്ലതു.

A wrathful man stirs up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeases strife.ക്രോധമുള്ള കലഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; ദീർഘക്ഷമയുള്ളവനോ കലഹം ശമിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain.മടിയന്റെ വഴി മുള്ളുവേലിപോലെയാകുന്നു; നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ പാതയോ പെരുവഴി തന്നേ.

A wise son makes a glad father: but a foolish man despises his mother.ജ്ഞാനമുള്ള മകൻ അപ്പനെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; മൂഢനോ അമ്മയെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു.

Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walks uprightly.ഭോഷത്വം ബുദ്ധിഹീനന്നു സന്തോഷം; വിവേകിയോ ചൊവ്വായി നടക്കുന്നു.

Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.ആലോചന ഇല്ലാഞ്ഞാൽ ഉദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ സാധിക്കാതെ പോകുന്നു; ആലോചനക്കാരുടെ ബഹുത്വത്താലോ അവ സാധിക്കുന്നു.

A man has joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!താൻ പറയുന്ന ഉത്തരം ഹേതുവായി മനുഷ്യന്നു സന്തോഷം വരും; തക്കസമയത്തു പറയുന്ന വാക്കു എത്ര മനോഹരം!

The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.ബുദ്ധിമാന്റെ ജീവയാത്ര മേലോട്ടാകുന്നു; കീഴെയുള്ള പാതാളത്തെ അവൻ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.അഹങ്കാരിയുടെ വീടു യഹോവ പൊളിച്ചുകളയും; വിധവയുടെ അതിരോ അവൻ ഉറപ്പിക്കും.

The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.ദുരുപായങ്ങൾ യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പു; ദയാവാക്കോ നിർമ്മലം.

He that is greedy of gain troubles his own house; but he that hates gifts shall live.ദുരാഗ്രഹി തന്റെ ഭവനത്തെ വലെക്കുന്നു; കോഴ വെറുക്കുന്നവനോ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും.

The heart of the righteous studies to answer: but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.നീതിമാൻ മനസ്സിൽ ആലോചിച്ചു ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വായോ ദോഷങ്ങളെ പൊഴിക്കുന്നു.

The LORD is far from the wicked: but he hears the prayer of the righteous.യഹോവ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോടു അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയോ അവൻ കേൾക്കുന്നു.

The light of the eyes rejoices the heart: and a good report makes the bones fat.കണ്ണിന്റെ ശോഭ ഹൃദയത്തെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; നല്ല വർത്തമാനം അസ്ഥികളെ തണുപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

The ear that hears the reproof of life abides among the wise.ജീവാർത്ഥമായ ശാസന കേൾക്കുന്ന ചെവിയുള്ളവൻ ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ വസിക്കും.

He that refuses instruction despises his own soul: but he that hears reproof gets understanding.പ്രബോധനം ത്യജിക്കുന്നവൻ തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ നിരസിക്കുന്നു; ശാസന കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുന്നവനോ വിവേകം സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നു.

The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.യഹോവാഭക്തി ജ്ഞാനോപദേശമാകുന്നു; മാനത്തിന്നു വിനയം മുന്നോടിയാകുന്നു.
