Exodus 11

And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go behind: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out behind altogether.അനന്തരം യഹോവ മോശെയോടു: ഞാൻ ഒരു ബാധകൂടെ ഫറവോന്മേലും മിസ്രയീമിന്മേലും വരുത്തും; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം അവൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഇവിടെനിന്നു വിട്ടയക്കും; വിട്ടയക്കുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളെ ഒട്ടൊഴിയാതെ ഇവിടെ നിന്നു ഓടിച്ചുകളയും.

Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver and jewels of gold.ഓരോ പുരുഷൻ താന്താന്റെ അയൽക്കാരനോടും ഓരോ സ്ത്രീ താന്താന്റെ അയൽക്കാരത്തിയോടും വെള്ളിയാഭരണങ്ങളും പൊന്നാഭരണങ്ങളും ചോദിപ്പാൻ നീ ജനത്തോടു പറക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.യഹോവ മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കു ജനത്തോടു കൃപ തോന്നുമാറാക്കി. വിശേഷാൽ മോശെ എന്ന പുരുഷനെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു ഫറവോന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരും പ്രജകളും മഹാശ്രേഷ്ഠനായി വിചാരിച്ചു.

And Moses said, Thus says the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:മോശെ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: അർദ്ധരാത്രിയിൽ ഞാൻ മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ നടുവിൽകൂടി പോകും.

And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sits upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.അപ്പോൾ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്ന ഫറവോന്റെ ആദ്യജാതൻ മുതൽ തിരികല്ലിങ്കൽ ഇരിക്കുന്ന ദാസിയുടെ ആദ്യജാതൻ വരെയും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുള്ള കടിഞ്ഞൂൽ ഒക്കെയും മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ എല്ലാകടിഞ്ഞൂലും ചത്തുപോകും.

And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എങ്ങും മുമ്പൊരിക്കലും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ലാത്തതും ഇനി ഉണ്ടാകാത്തതുമായ വലിയൊരു നിലവിളി ഉണ്ടാകും.

But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that all of you may know how that the LORD does put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.എന്നാൽ യഹോവ മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കും യിസ്രായേല്യർക്കും മദ്ധ്യേ വ്യത്യാസം വെക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിൽ യാതൊരു മനുഷ്യന്റെയോ മൃഗത്തിന്റെയോ നേരെ ഒരു നായിപോലും നാവു അനക്കുകയില്ല.

And all these your servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get you out, and all the people that follow you: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.അപ്പോൾ നിന്റെ ഈ സകലഭൃത്യന്മാരും എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: നീയും നിന്റെ കീഴിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്ന സർവ്വജനവുംകൂടെ പുറപ്പെടുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നെ നമസ്കരിക്കും; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം ഞാൻ പുറപ്പെടും. അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ഉഗ്രകോപത്തോടെ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.യഹോവ മോശെയോടു: മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങൾ പെരുകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഫറവോൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കയില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.മോശെയും അഹരോനും ഈ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ചെയ്തു എങ്കിലും യഹോവ ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ കഠിനമാക്കി; അവൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെ തന്റെ ദേശത്തു നിന്നു വിട്ടയച്ചതുമില്ല.

Exodus 12

And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,യഹോവ മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.ഈ മാസം നിങ്ങൾക്കു മാസങ്ങളുടെ ആരംഭമായി ആണ്ടിൽ ഒന്നാം മാസം ആയിരിക്കേണം.

Speak all of you unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:നിങ്ങൾ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സർവ്വസംഘത്തോടും പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: ഈ മാസം പത്താം തിയ്യതി അതതു കുടുംബത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആട്ടിൻ കുട്ടി വീതം ഓരോരുത്തൻ ഓരോ ആട്ടിൻ കുട്ടിയെ എടുക്കേണം.

And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.ആട്ടിൻ കുട്ടിയെ തിന്നുവാൻ വീട്ടിലുള്ളവർ പോരായെങ്കിൽ ആളുകളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവനും അവന്റെ വീട്ടിന്നടുത്ത അയൽക്കാരനും കൂടി അതിനെ എടുക്കേണം ഓരോരുത്തൻ തിന്നുന്നതിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം കണക്കു നോക്കി നിങ്ങൾ ആട്ടിൻ കുട്ടിയെ എടുക്കേണം.

Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: all of you shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:ആട്ടിൻ കുട്ടി ഊനമില്ലാത്തതും ഒരു വയസ്സു പ്രായമുള്ള ആണുമായിരിക്കേണം; അതു ചെമ്മരിയാടോ കോലാടോ ആകാം.

And all of you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.ഈ മാസം പതിന്നാലാം തിയ്യതിവരെ അതിനെ സൂക്ഷിക്കേണം. യിസ്രായേൽസഭയുടെ കൂട്ടമെല്ലാം സന്ധ്യാസമയത്തു അതിനെ അറുക്കേണം.

And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.അതിന്റെ രക്തം കുറെ എടുത്തു തങ്ങൾ തിന്നുന്ന വീടുകളുടെ വാതിലിന്റെ കട്ടളക്കാൽ രണ്ടിന്മേലും കുറുമ്പടിമേലും പുരട്ടേണം.

And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.അന്നു രാത്രി അവർ തീയിൽ ചുട്ടതായ ആ മാംസവും പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പവും തിന്നേണം; കൈപ്പുചീരയോടുകൂടെ അതു തിന്നേണം.

Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the inwards thereof.തലയും കാലും അന്തർഭാഗങ്ങളുമായി തീയിൽ ചുട്ടിട്ടല്ലാതെ പച്ചയായിട്ടോ വെള്ളത്തിൽ പുഴുങ്ങിയതായിട്ടോ തിന്നരുതു.

And all of you shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remains of it until the morning all of you shall burn with fire.പിറ്റെന്നാൾ കാലത്തേക്കു അതിൽ ഒട്ടും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കരുതു; പിറ്റെന്നാൾ കാലത്തേക്കു ശേഷിക്കുന്നതു നിങ്ങൾ തീയിലിട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളയേണം.

And thus shall all of you eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and all of you shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover.അര കെട്ടിയും കാലിന്നു ചെരിപ്പിട്ടും കയ്യിൽ വടി പിടിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾ തിന്നേണം; തിടുക്കത്തോടെ നിങ്ങൾ തിന്നേണം; അതു യഹോവയുടെ പെസഹ ആകുന്നു.

For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.ഈ രാത്രിയിൽ ഞാൻ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുകൂടി കടന്നു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുള്ള മനുഷ്യന്റെയും മൃഗത്തിന്റെയും കടിഞ്ഞൂലിനെ ഒക്കെയും സംഹരിക്കും; മിസ്രയീമിലെ സകല ദേവന്മാരിലും ഞാൻ ന്യായവിധി നടത്തും; ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു

And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where all of you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.നിങ്ങൾ പാർക്കുന്ന വീടുകളിന്മേൽ രക്തം അടയാളമായിരിക്കും; ഞാൻ രക്തം കാണുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞു കടന്നു പോകും; ഞാൻ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെ ബാധിക്കുന്ന ബാധ നിങ്ങൾക്കു നാശഹേതുവായ്തീരുകയില്ല.

And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and all of you shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; all of you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.ഈ ദിവസം നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഓർമ്മനാളായിരിക്കേണം; നിങ്ങൾ അതു യഹോവെക്കു ഉത്സവമായി ആചരിക്കേണം. തലമുറതലമുറയായും നിത്യനിയമമായും നിങ്ങൾ അതു ആചരിക്കേണം.

Seven days shall all of you eat unleavened bread; even the first day all of you shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.ഏഴു ദിവസം നിങ്ങൾ പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പം തിന്നേണം; ഒന്നാം ദിവസം തന്നേ പുളിച്ച മാവു നിങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിൽനിന്നു നീക്കേണം; ഒന്നാം ദിവസംമുതൽ ഏഴാം ദിവസംവരെ ആരെങ്കിലും പുളിപ്പുള്ള അപ്പം തിന്നാൽ അവനെ യിസ്രായേലിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.

And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.ഒന്നാം ദിവസത്തിലും ഏഴാം ദിവസത്തിലും നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിശുദ്ധസഭായോഗം ഉണ്ടാകേണം; അന്നു അവരവർക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന ഭക്ഷണം ഒരുക്കുകയല്ലാതെ ഒരു വേലയും ചെയ്യരുതു.

And all of you shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this very same day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall all of you observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ പെരുനാൾ നിങ്ങൾ ആചരിക്കേണം; ഈ ദിവസത്തിൽ തന്നേയാകുന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഗണങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഈ ദിവസം തലമുറതലമുറയായും നിത്യനിയമമായും നിങ്ങൾ ആചരിക്കേണം.

In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, all of you shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.ഒന്നാം മാസം പതിന്നാലാം തിയ്യതി വൈകുന്നേരംമുതൽ ആ മാസം ഇരുപത്തൊന്നാം തിയ്യതി വൈകുന്നേരംവരെ നിങ്ങൾ പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പം തിന്നേണം.

Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eats that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.ഏഴു ദിവസം നിങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിൽ പുളിച്ചമാവു കാണരുതു; ആരെങ്കിലും പുളിച്ചതു തിന്നാൽ പരദേശിയായാലും സ്വദേശിയായാലും അവനെ യിസ്രായേൽസഭയിൽ നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണം.

All of you shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall all of you eat unleavened bread.പുളിച്ചതു യാതൊന്നും നിങ്ങൾ തിന്നരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ വാസസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പം തിന്നേണം.

Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.അനന്തരം മോശെ യിസ്രായേൽമൂപ്പനാരെ ഒക്കെയും വിളിച്ചു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഓരോ ആട്ടിൻ കുട്ടിയെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു പെസഹയെ അറുപ്പിൻ.

And all of you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.ഈസോപ്പുചെടിയുടെ ഒരു കെട്ടു എടുത്തു കിണ്ണത്തിലുള്ള രക്തത്തിൽ മുക്കി കിണ്ണത്തിലുള്ള രക്തം കുറമ്പടിമേലും കട്ടളക്കാൽ രണ്ടിന്മേലും തേക്കേണം; പിറ്റെന്നാൾ വെളുക്കുംവരെ നിങ്ങളിൽ ആരും വീട്ടിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നു പുറത്തിറങ്ങരുതു.

For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to strike you.യഹോവ മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കടന്നുവരും; എന്നാൽ കുറുമ്പടിമേലും കട്ടളക്കാൽ രണ്ടിന്മേലും രക്തം കാണുമ്പോൾ യഹോവ വാതിൽ ഒഴിഞ്ഞു കടന്നു പോകും; നിങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിൽ നിങ്ങളെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സംഹാരകൻ വരുവാൻ സമ്മതിക്കയുമില്ല.

And all of you shall observe this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons for ever.ഈ കാര്യം നീയും പുത്രന്മാരും ഒരു നിത്യനിയമമായി ആചരിക്കേണം.

And it shall come to pass, when all of you be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he has promised, that all of you shall keep this service.യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു തരുവാനിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിങ്ങൾ എത്തിയശേഷം നിങ്ങൾ ഈ കർമ്മം ആചരിക്കേണം.

And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean all of you by this service?ഈ കർമ്മം എന്തെന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കൾ നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിക്കുമ്പോൾ:

That all of you shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he stroke the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കയിൽ മിസ്രയീമിലിരുന്ന യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ വീടുകളെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞു കടന്നു നമ്മുടെ വീടുകളെ രക്ഷിച്ച യഹോവയുടെ പെസഹയാഗം ആകുന്നു ഇതു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയേണം. അപ്പോൾ ജനം കുമ്പിട്ടു നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

And the children of Israel went away, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ പോയി അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു. യഹോവ മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടും കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നേ അവർ ചെയ്തു.

And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD stroke all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.അർദ്ധരാത്രിയിലോ, സിംഹാസനത്തിലിരുന്ന ഫറവോന്റെ ആദ്യജാതൻ മുതൽ കുണ്ടറയിൽ കിടന്ന തടവുകാരന്റെ ആദ്യജാതൻ വരെയും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിലെ ആദ്യജാതന്മാരെയും മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ കടിഞ്ഞൂലുകളെയും എല്ലാം യഹോവ സംഹരിച്ചു.

And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.ഫറവോനും അവന്റെ സകലഭൃത്യന്മാരും സകല മിസ്രയീമ്യരും രാത്രിയിൽ എഴുന്നേറ്റു; മിസ്രയീമിൽ വലിയോരു നിലവിളി ഉണ്ടായി; ഒന്നു മരിക്കാതെ ഒരു വീടും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both all of you and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as all of you have said.അപ്പോൾ അവൻ മോശെയെയും അഹരോനെയും രാത്രിയിൽ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു: നിങ്ങൾ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുമായി എഴുന്നേറ്റു എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു, നിങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ പോയി യഹോവയെ ആരാധിപ്പിൻ.

Also take your flocks and your herds, as all of you have said, and be gone; and bless me also.നിങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ആടുകളെയും കന്നുകാലികളെയും കൂടെ കൊണ്ടുപോയ്ക്കൊൾവിൻ; എന്നെയും അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.മിസ്രയീമ്യർ ജനത്തെ നിർബന്ധിച്ചു വേഗത്തിൽ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു അയച്ചു: ഞങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും മരിച്ചു പോകുന്നു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading troughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.അതുകൊണ്ടു ജനം കുഴെച്ച മാവു പുളിക്കുന്നതിന്നു മുമ്പെ തൊട്ടികളോടുകൂടെ ശീലകളിൽ കെട്ടി ചുമലിൽ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ മോശെയുടെ വചനം അനുസരിച്ചു മിസ്രയീമ്യരോടു വെള്ളിയാഭരണങ്ങളും പൊന്നാഭരണങ്ങളും വസ്ത്രങ്ങളും ചോദിച്ചു.

³⁶

And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.യഹോവ മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കു ജനത്തോടു കൃപ തോന്നിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ ചോദിച്ചതൊക്കെയും അവർ അവർക്കു കൊടുത്തു; അങ്ങനെ അവർ മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ കൊള്ളയിട്ടു.

³⁷

And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ, കുട്ടികൾ ഒഴികെ ഏകദേശം ആറുലക്ഷം പുരുഷന്മാർ കാൽനടയായി റമസേസിൽനിന്നു സുക്കോത്തിലേക്കു യാത്ര പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.വലിയോരു സമ്മിശ്രപുരുഷാരവും ആടുകളും കന്നുകാലികളുമായി അനവധി മൃഗങ്ങളും അവരോടു കൂടെ പോന്നു.

And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു കൊണ്ടു പോന്ന കുഴെച്ച മാവുകൊണ്ടു അവർ പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത ദോശ ചുട്ടു; അവരെ മിസ്രയീമിൽ ഒട്ടും താമസിപ്പിക്കാതെ ഓടിച്ചുകളകയാൽ അതു പുളിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല; അവർ വഴിക്കു ആഹാരം ഒന്നും ഒരുക്കിയിരുന്നതുമില്ല.

Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ മിസ്രയീമിൽ കഴിച്ച പരദേശവാസം നാനൂറ്റി മുപ്പതു സംവത്സരമായിരുന്നു.

And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the very same day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.നാനൂറ്റി മുപ്പതു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു, ആ ദിവസം തന്നെ, യഹോവയുടെ ഗണങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the LORD to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.യഹോവ അവരെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചതിനാൽ ഇതു അവന്നു പ്രത്യേകമായി ആചരിക്കേണ്ടുന്ന രാത്രി ആകുന്നു; ഇതു തന്നേ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കൾ ഒക്കെയും തലമുറതലമുറയായി യഹോവെക്കു പ്രത്യേകം ആചരിക്കേണ്ടുന്ന രാത്രി.

And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: There shall no stranger eat thereof:യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടും കല്പിച്ചതു: പെസഹയുടെ ചട്ടം ഇതു ആകുന്നു: അന്യജാതിക്കാരനായ ഒരുത്തനും അതു തിന്നരുതു.

But every man's servant that is bought for money, when you have circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof.എന്നാൽ ദ്രവ്യം കൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങിയ ദാസന്നു ഒക്കെയും പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റശേഷം അതു തിന്നാം.

A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof.പരദേശിയും കൂലിക്കാരനും അതു തിന്നരുതു.

⁴⁶

In one house shall it be eaten; you shall not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall all of you break a bone thereof.അതതു വീട്ടിൽവെച്ചു തന്നേ അതു തിന്നേണം; ആ മാംസം ഒട്ടും വീട്ടിന്നു പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകരുതു; അതിൽ ഒരു അസ്ഥിയും ഒടിക്കരുതു.

All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.യിസ്രായേൽസഭ ഒക്കെയും അതു ആചരിക്കേണം.

⁴⁸

And when a stranger shall sojourn with you, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.ഒരു അന്യജാതിക്കാരൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ പാർത്തു യഹോവെക്കു പെസഹ ആചരിക്കേണമെങ്കിൽ, അവന്നുള്ള ആണൊക്കെയും പരിച്ഛേദന ഏൽക്കേണം. അതിന്റെ ശേഷം അതു ആചരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്നു അടുത്തുവരാം; അവൻ സ്വദേശിയെപ്പോലെ ആകും. പരിച്ഛേദനയില്ലാത്ത ഒരുത്തനും അതു തിന്നരുതു.

One law shall be to him that is native, and unto the stranger that sojourns among you.സ്വദേശിക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന പരദേശിക്കും ഒരു ന്യായപ്രമാണം തന്നേ ആയിരിക്കേണം; യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ഒക്കെയും അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു.

Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.യഹോവ മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടും കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നേ അവർ ചെയ്തു.

And it came to pass the very same day, that the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.അന്നു തന്നേ യഹോവ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെ ഗണം ഗണമായി മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു.

Exodus 13

And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു:

Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ ഇടയിൽ മനുഷ്യരിലും മൃഗങ്ങളിലും കടിഞ്ഞൂലായി പിറക്കുന്നതിന്നെ ഒക്കെയും എനിക്കായി ശുദ്ധീകരിക്ക; അതു എനിക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു;

And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which all of you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.അപ്പോൾ മോശെ ജനത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നിങ്ങൾ അടിമവീടായ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോന്ന ഈ ദിവസത്തെ ഓർത്തു കൊൾവിൻ; യഹോവ ബലമുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെ അവിടെനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു; അതുകൊണ്ടു പുളിപ്പുള്ള അപ്പം തിന്നരുതു.

This day came all of you out in the month Abib.ആബീബ് മാസം ഈ തിയ്യതി നിങ്ങൾ പുറപ്പെട്ടു പോന്നു.

And it shall be when the LORD shall bring you into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he swore unto your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you shall keep this service in this month.എന്നാൽ കനാന്യർ, ഹിത്യർ, അമോർയ്യർ, ഹിവ്യർ, യെബൂസ്യർ എന്നിവരുടെ ദേശമായി യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുമെന്നു നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തതും പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്നതുമായ ദേശത്തേക്കു നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നശേഷം നീ ഈ മാസത്തിൽ ഈ കർമ്മം ആചരിക്കേണം.

Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the LORD.ഏഴു ദിവസം നീ പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പം തിന്നേണം; ഏഴാം ദിവസം യഹോവെക്കു ഒരു ഉത്സവം ആയിരിക്കേണം.

Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with you, neither shall there be leaven seen with you in all your quarters.ഏഴു ദിവസവും പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പം തിന്നേണം; നിന്റെ പക്കൽ പുളിപ്പുള്ള അപ്പം കാണരുതു; നിന്റെ അരികത്തെങ്ങും പുളിച്ചമാവും കാണരുതു.

And you shall show your son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the LORD did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.ഞാൻ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ യഹോവ എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത കാര്യം നിമിത്തം ആകുന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്നു നീ ആ ദിവസത്തിൽ നിന്റെ മകനോടു അറിയിക്കേണം.

And it shall be for a sign unto you upon yours hand, and for a memorial between yours eyes, that the LORD's law may be in your mouth: for with a strong hand has the LORD brought you out of Egypt.യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം നിന്റെ വായിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു നിനക്കു നിന്റെ കയ്യിന്മേൽ അടയാളമായും നിന്റെ കണ്ണുകളുടെ നടുവിൽ ജ്ഞാപകലക്ഷ്യമായും ഇരിക്കെണം. ബലമുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടല്ലോ യഹോവ നിന്നെ മിസ്രയീമിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചതു.

You shall therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.അതു കൊണ്ടു നീ ആണ്ടുതോറും നിശ്ചയിക്കപ്പെട്ട സമയത്തു ഈ ചട്ടം ആചരിക്കേണം.

And it shall be when the LORD shall bring you into the land of the Canaanites, as he swore unto you and to your fathers, and shall give it you,യഹോവ നിന്നോടും നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടും സത്യം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നിന്നെ കനാന്യരുടെ ദേശത്തു കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു അതു നിനക്കു തരുമ്പോൾ

That you shall set apart unto the LORD all that opens the womb, and every first born that comes of a beast which you have; the males shall be the LORD's.കടിഞ്ഞൂലിനെ ഒക്കെയും, നിനക്കുള്ള മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ കടിഞ്ഞൂൽപിറവിയെ ഒക്കെയും നീ യഹോവെക്കായി വേർതിരിക്കേണം; ആണൊക്കെയും യഹോവക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു.

And every first born of an ass you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among your children shall you redeem.എന്നാൽ കഴുതയുടെ കടിഞ്ഞൂലിനെ ഒക്കെയും ആട്ടിൻ കുട്ടിയെക്കൊണ്ടു വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളേണം; അതിനെ വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ അതിന്റെ കഴുത്തു ഒടിച്ചുകളയേണം. നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ ആദ്യജാതനെ ഒക്കെയും നീ വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളേണം.

And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying, What is this? that you shall say unto him, By strength of hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:എന്നാൽ ഇതു എന്തു എന്നു നാളെ നിന്റെ മകൻ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുമ്പോൾ: യഹോവ ബലമുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടു അടിമവീടായ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു ഞങ്ങളെ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു;

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all that opens the womb, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.ഫറവോൻ കഠിനപ്പെട്ടു ഞങ്ങളെ വിട്ടയക്കാതിരുന്നപ്പോൾ യഹോവ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു മനുഷ്യന്റെ കടിഞ്ഞൂൽമുതൽ മൃഗത്തിന്റെ കടിഞ്ഞൂൽവരെയുള്ള കടിഞ്ഞൂൽപിറവിയെ ഒക്കെയും കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. അതുകൊണ്ടു കടിഞ്ഞൂലായ ആണിനെ ഒക്കെയും ഞാൻ യഹോവെക്കു യാഗം അർപ്പിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ എന്റെ മക്കളിൽ കടിഞ്ഞൂലിനെ ഒക്കെയും ഞാൻ വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുന്നു.

And it shall be for a token upon yours hand, and for frontlets between yours eyes: for by strength of hand the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt.അതു നിന്റെ കയ്യിന്മേൽ അടയാളമായും നിന്റെ കണ്ണുകളുടെ നടുവിൽ നെറ്റിപ്പട്ടമായും ഇരിക്കേണം. യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളെ ബലമുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടു മിസ്രയീമിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു എന്നു നീ അവനോടു പറയേണം.

And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest possibly the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:ഫറവോൻ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയച്ച ശേഷം ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ ദേശത്തു കൂടിയുള്ള വഴി അടുത്തതു എന്നു വരികിലും ജനം യുദ്ധം കാണുമ്പോൾ പക്ഷേ അനുതപിച്ചു മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോകുമെന്നുവെച്ചു ദൈവം അവരെ അതിലെ കൊണ്ടുപോയില്ല;

But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.ചെങ്കടലരികെയുള്ള മരുഭൂമിയിൽകൂടി ദൈവം ജനത്തെ ചുറ്റിനടത്തി. യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു യുദ്ധസന്നദ്ധരായി പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had strictly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and all of you shall carry up my bones away behind with you.മോശെ യോസേഫിന്റെ അസ്ഥികളും എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു പോന്നു. ദൈവം നിങ്ങളെ സന്ദർശിക്കും നിശ്ചയം; അപ്പോൾ എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളും നിങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെനിന്നു എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടുപോകേണമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെക്കൊണ്ടു ഉറപ്പായി സത്യം ചെയ്യിച്ചിരുന്നു.

And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.അവർ സുക്കോത്തിൽ നിന്നു യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടു മരുഭൂമിക്കരികെ ഏഥാമിൽ പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:അവർ പകലും രാവും യാത്രചെയ്‍വാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവർക്കു വഴികാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പകൽ മേഘസ്തംഭത്തിലും അവർക്കു വെളിച്ചം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു രാത്രി അഗ്നിസ്തംഭത്തിലും യഹോവ അവർക്കു മുമ്പായി പൊയ്ക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.പകൽ മേഘസ്തംഭവും രാത്രി അഗ്നിസ്തംഭവും ജനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നു മാറിയതുമില്ല.

Exodus 14

And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and camp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, opposite to Baalzephon: before it shall all of you camp by the sea.നിങ്ങൾ തിരിഞ്ഞു മിഗ്ദോലിന്നും കടലിന്നും മദ്ധ്യേ ബാൽസെഫോന്നു സമീപത്തുള്ള പീഹഹീരോത്തിന്നരികെ പാളയം ഇറങ്ങേണമെന്നു യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു പറക; അതിന്റെ സമീപത്തു സമുദ്രത്തിന്നരികെ നിങ്ങൾ പാളയം ഇറങ്ങേണം.

For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness has shut them in.എന്നാൽ അവർ ദേശത്തു ഉഴലുന്നു; മരുഭൂമിയിൽ കുടുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഫറവോൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെക്കുറിച്ചു പറയും.

And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD. And they did so.ഫറവോൻ അവരെ പിന്തുടരുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ അവന്റെഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കും. ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു എന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യർ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഫറവോനിലും അവന്റെ സകലസൈന്യങ്ങളിലും ഞാൻ എന്നെ തന്നേ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?അവർ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു. ജനം ഓടിപ്പോയി എന്നു മിസ്രയീംരാജാവിന്നു അറിവു കിട്ടിയപ്പോൾ ജനത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു ഫറവോന്റെയും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെയും മനസ്സുമാറി: യിസ്രായേല്യരെ നമ്മുടെ അടിമവേലയിൽനിന്നു വിട്ടയച്ചുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ; നാം ഈ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:പിന്നെ അവൻ രഥം കെട്ടിച്ചു പടജ്ജനത്തെയും

And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.വിശേഷപ്പെട്ട അറുനൂറു രഥങ്ങളെയും മിസ്രയീമിലെ സകലരഥങ്ങളെയും അവെക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന തേരാളികളെയും കൂട്ടി.

And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.യഹോവ മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കിയതിനാൽ അവൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെ പിന്തുടർന്നു. എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ യുദ്ധസന്നദ്ധരായി പുറപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.ഫറവോന്റെ എല്ലാ കുതിരയും രഥവും കുതിരപ്പടയും സൈന്യവുമായി മിസ്രയീമ്യർ അവരെ പിന്തുടർന്നു; കടൽക്കരയിൽ ബാൽസെഫോന്നു സമീപത്തുള്ള പീഹഹീരോത്തിന്നു അരികെ അവർ പാളയമിറങ്ങിയിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവരോടു അടുത്തു.

And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.ഫറവോൻ അടുത്തുവരുമ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ തലഉയർത്തി മിസ്രയീമ്യർ പിന്നാലെ വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു ഏറ്റവും ഭയപ്പെട്ടു; യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു.

And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore have you dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?അവർ മോശെയോടു: മിസ്രയീമിൽ ശവക്കുഴിയില്ലാഞ്ഞിട്ടോ നീ ഞങ്ങളെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ മരിപ്പാൻ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നതു? നീ ഞങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചതിനാൽ ഞങ്ങളോടു ഈ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു?

Is not this the word that we did tell you in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കു വേല ചെയ്‍വാൻ ഞങ്ങളെ വിടേണം എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ മിസ്രയീമിൽവെച്ചു നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ? മരുഭൂമിയിൽ മരിക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കു വേല ചെയ്യുന്നതായിരുന്നു ഞങ്ങൾക്കു നല്ലതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Moses said unto the people, Fear all of you not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you to day: for the Egyptians whom all of you have seen to day, all of you shall see them again no more for ever.അതിന്നു മോശെ ജനത്തോടു: ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഉറച്ചുനില്പിൻ; യഹോവ ഇന്നു നിങ്ങൾക്കു ചെയ്‍വാനിരിക്കുന്ന രക്ഷ കണ്ടുകൊൾവിൻ; നിങ്ങൾ ഇന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ ഇനി ഒരുനാളും കാണുകയില്ല.

The LORD shall fight for you, and all of you shall hold your peace.യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി യുദ്ധംചെയ്യും; നിങ്ങൾ മിണ്ടാതിരിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore cry you unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: നീ എന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? മുമ്പോട്ടു പോകുവാൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു പറക.

But lift you up your rod, and stretch out yours hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.വടി എടുത്തു നിന്റെ കൈ കടലിന്മേൽ നീട്ടി അതിനെ വിഭാഗിക്ക; യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ കടലിന്റെ നടുവെ ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലത്തുകൂടി കടന്നുപോകും.

And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ കഠിനമാക്കും; അവർ ഇവരുടെ പിന്നാലെ ചെല്ലും; ഞാൻ ഫറവോനിലും അവന്റെ സകല സൈന്യത്തിലും അവന്റെ രഥങ്ങളിലും കുതിരപ്പടയിലും എന്നെത്തന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have got me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഫറവോനിലും അവന്റെ രഥങ്ങളിലും കുതിരപ്പടയിലും എന്നെത്തന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു എന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യർ അറിയും.

And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:അനന്തരം യിസ്രായേല്യരുടെ സൈന്യത്തിന്നു മുമ്പായി നടന്ന ദൈവദൂതൻ അവിടെനിന്നു മാറി അവരുടെ പിന്നാലെ നടന്നു; മേഘസ്തംഭവും അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നു മാറി അവരുടെ പിമ്പിൽ പോയി നിന്നു.

And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.രാത്രി മുഴുവനും മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ സൈന്യവും യിസ്രായേല്യരുടെ സൈന്യവും തമ്മിൽ അടുക്കാതവണ്ണം അതു അവയുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ വന്നു; അവർക്കു മേഘവും അന്ധകാരവും ആയിരുന്നു; ഇവർക്കോ രാത്രിയെ പ്രകാശമാക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.

And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.മോശെ കടലിന്മേൽ കൈനീട്ടി; യഹോവ അന്നു രാത്രി മുഴുവനും മഹാശക്തിയുള്ള ഒരു കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റുകൊണ്ടു കടലിനെ പിൻവാങ്ങിച്ചു ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലം ആക്കി; അങ്ങനെ വെള്ളം തമ്മിൽ വേർപിരിഞ്ഞു.

And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ കടലിന്റെ നടുവിൽ ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലത്തുകൂടി നടന്നുപോയി; അവരുടെ ഇടത്തും വലത്തും വെള്ളം മതിലായി നിന്നു.

And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.മിസ്രയീമ്യർ പിന്തുടർന്നു; ഫറവോന്റെ കുതിരയും രഥങ്ങളും കുതിരപ്പടയും എല്ലാം അവരുടെ പിന്നാലെ കടലിന്റെ നടുവിലേക്കു ചെന്നു.

And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,പ്രഭാതയാമത്തിൽ യഹോവ അഗ്നിമേഘസ്തംഭത്തിൽനിന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യസൈന്യത്തെ നോക്കി മിസ്രയീമ്യസൈന്യത്തെ താറുമാറാക്കി.

And took off their chariot wheels, that they drove them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians.അവരുടെ രഥചക്രങ്ങളെ തെറ്റിച്ചു ഓട്ടം പ്രായസമാക്കി. അതുകൊണ്ടു മിസ്രയീമ്യർ: നാം യിസ്രായേലിനെ വിട്ടു ഓടിപ്പോക; യഹോവ അവർക്കു വേണ്ടി മിസ്രയീമ്യരോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out yours hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു: വെള്ളം മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ മേലും അവരുടെ രഥങ്ങളിൻ മേലും കുതിരപ്പടയുടെമേലും മടങ്ങി വരേണ്ടതിന്നു കടലിന്മേൽ കൈനീട്ടുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.മോശെ കടലിന്മേൽ കൈ നീട്ടി; പുലർച്ചെക്കു കടൽ അതിന്റെ സ്ഥിതിയിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു. മിസ്രയീമ്യർ അതിന്നു എതിരായി ഓടി; യഹോവ മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ കടലിന്റെ നടുവിൽ തള്ളിയിട്ടു.

And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.വെള്ളം മടങ്ങിവന്നു അവരുടെ പിന്നാലെ കടലിലേക്കു ചെന്നിരുന്ന രഥങ്ങളെയും കുതിരപ്പടയെയും ഫറവോന്റെ സൈന്യത്തെയും എല്ലാം മുക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ പോലും ശേഷിച്ചില്ല.

But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ കടലിന്റെ നടുവെ ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലത്തുകൂടി കടന്നുപോയി; വെള്ളം അവരുടെ ഇടത്തും വലത്തും മതിലായി നിന്നു.

Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.ഇങ്ങനെ യഹോവ ആ ദിവസം യിസ്രായേല്യരെ മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷിച്ചു; മിസ്രയീമ്യർ കടൽക്കരയിൽ ചത്തടിഞ്ഞു കിടക്കുന്നതു യിസ്രായേല്യർ കാണുകയും ചെയ്തു.

And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.യഹോവ മിസ്രയീമ്യരിൽ ചെയ്ത ഈ മഹാപ്രവൃത്തി യിസ്രായേല്യർ കണ്ടു; ജനം യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു, യഹോവയിലും അവന്റെ ദാസനായ മോശെയിലും വിശ്വസിച്ചു.
