Now the children of Israel after their number, to know, the chief fathers and captains of thousands and hundreds, and their officers that served the king in any matter of the courses, which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year, of every course were twenty and four thousand.യിസ്രായേൽപുത്രന്മാർ ആളെണ്ണപ്രകാരം പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരും സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരും ശതാധിപന്മാരും സംവത്സരത്തിലെ സകലമാസങ്ങളിലും മാസാന്തരം വരികയും പോകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന അതതു കൂറുകളുടെ ഓരോ പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും രാജാവിന്നു സേവ ചെയ്തുപോന്ന അവരുടെ പ്രമാണികളും ആകെ ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരം പേർ.

Over the first course for the first month was Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.ഒന്നാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള ഒന്നാം കൂറിന്നു മേൽവിചാരകൻ സബ്ദീയേലിന്റെ മകൻ യാശോബെയാം: അവന്റെ കൂറിൽ ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരം പേർ.

Of the children of Perez was the chief of all the captains of the host for the first month.അവൻ പേരെസ്സിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ ഉള്ളവനും ഒന്നാം മാസത്തെ സകലസേനാപതികൾക്കും തലവനും ആയിരുന്നു.

And over the course of the second month was Dodai an Ahohite, and of his course was Mikloth also the ruler: in his course likewise were twenty and four thousand.രണ്ടാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള കൂറിന്നു അഹോഹ്യനായ ദോദായി മേൽവിചാരകനും അവന്റെ കൂറിൽ മിക്ളോത്ത് പ്രമാണിയും ആയിരുന്നു. അവന്റെ കൂറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേർ.

The third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, a chief priest: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.മൂന്നാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള മൂന്നാമത്തെ സേനാപതി മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ യെഹോയാദയുടെ മകൻ ബെനായാവു; അവന്റെ കൂറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേർ.

This is that Benaiah, who was mighty among the thirty, and above the thirty: and in his course was Ammizabad his son.മുപ്പതു പേരിൽ വീരനും മുപ്പതുപേർക്കു തലവനുമായ ബെനായാവു ഇവൻ തന്നേ; അവന്റെ കൂറിന്നു അവന്റെ മകനായ അമ്മീസാബാദ് പ്രമാണിയായിരുന്നു.

The fourth captain for the fourth month was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.നാലാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള നാലാമത്തവൻ യോവാബിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അസാഹേലും അവന്റെശേഷം അവന്റെ മകനായ സെബദ്യാവും ആയിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ കൂറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേർ.

The fifth captain for the fifth month was Shamhuth the Izrahite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.അഞ്ചാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള അഞ്ചാമത്തവൻ യിസ്രാഹ്യനായ ശംഹൂത്ത്; അവന്റെ കൂറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേർ.

The sixth captain for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.ആറാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള ആറാമത്തവൻ തെക്കോവ്യനായ ഇക്കേശിന്റെ മകൻ ഈരാ; അവന്റെ കൂറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേർ.

The seventh captain for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.ഏഴാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള ഏഴാമത്തവൻ എഫ്രയീമ്യരിൽ പെലോന്യനായ ഹേലെസ്; അവന്റെ കൂറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേർ.

The eighth captain for the eighth month was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zarhites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.എട്ടാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള എട്ടാമത്തവൻ സർഹ്യരിൽ ഹൂശാത്യനായ സിബ്ബെഖായി; അവന്റെ കൂറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേർ.

The ninth captain for the ninth month was Abiezer the Anetothite, of the Benjamites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.ഒമ്പതാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള ഒമ്പതാമത്തവൻ ബെന്യാമീന്യരിൽ അനാഥോഥ്യനായ അബീയേസെർ; അവന്റെ കൂറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേർ.

The tenth captain for the tenth month was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zarhites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.പത്താം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള പത്താമത്തവൻ സർഹ്യരിൽ നെതോഫാത്യനായ മഹരായി; അവന്റെ കൂറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേർ.

The eleventh captain for the eleventh month was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.പതിനൊന്നാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള പതിനൊന്നാമത്തവൻ എഫ്രയീമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ പിരാഥോന്യനായ ബെനായാവു; അവന്റെ കൂറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേർ.

The twelfth captain for the twelfth month was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.പന്ത്രണ്ടാം മാസത്തേക്കുള്ള പന്ത്രണ്ടാമത്തവൻ ഒത്നീയേലിൽനിന്നുത്ഭവിച്ച നെതോഫാത്യനായ ഹെൽദായി; അവന്റെ കൂറിലും ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരംപേർ.

Furthermore over the tribes of Israel: the ruler of the Reubenites was Eliezer the son of Zichri: of the Simeonites, Shephatiah the son of Maachah:യിസ്രായേൽഗോത്രങ്ങളുടെ തലവന്മാർ: രൂബേന്യർക്കു പ്രഭു സിക്രിയുടെ മകൻ എലീയേസെർ; ശിമെയോന്യർക്കു മയഖയുടെ മകൻ ശെഫത്യാവു;

Of the Levites, Hashabiah the son of Kemuel: of the Aaronites, Zadok:ലേവ്യർക്കു കെമൂവേലിന്റെ മകൻ ഹശബ്യാവു; അഹരോന്യർക്കു സാദോക്;

Of Judah, Elihu, one of the brethren of David: of Issachar, Omri the son of Michael:യെഹൂദെക്കു ദാവീദിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനായ എലീഹൂ; യിസ്സാഖാരിന്നു മീഖായേലിന്റെ മകൻ ഒമ്രി;

Of Zebulun, Ishmaiah the son of Obadiah: of Naphtali, Jerimoth the son of Azriel:സെബൂലൂന്നു ഓബദ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ യിശ്മയ്യാവു; നഫ്താലിക്കു അസ്രീയേലിന്റെ മകൻ യെരീമോത്ത്;

Of the children of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah: of the half tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah:എഫ്രയീമ്യർക്കു അസസ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ ഹോശേയ; മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രത്തിന്നു പെദായാവിന്റെ മകൻ യോവേൽ.

Of the half tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah: of Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner:ഗിലെയാദിലെ മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രത്തിന്നു സെഖർയ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ യിദ്ദോ; ബെന്യാമീന്നു അബ്നേരിന്റെ മകൻ യാസീയേൽ;

Of Dan, Azareel the son of Jeroham. These were the princes of the tribes of Israel.ദാന്നു യെരോഹാമിന്റെ മകൻ അസരെയോൽ. ഇവർ യിസ്രായേൽഗോത്രങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ ആയിരുന്നു.

But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under: because the LORD had said he would increase Israel like to the stars of the heavens.എന്നാൽ യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിനെ ആകാശത്തിലെ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ദാവീദ് ഇരുപതു വയസ്സിന്നു താഴെയുള്ളവരുടെ എണ്ണം എടുത്തില്ല.

Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but he finished not, because there fell wrath for it against Israel; neither was the number put in the account of the chronicles of king David.സെരൂയയുടെ മകനായ യോവാബ് എണ്ണുവാൻ തുടങ്ങിയെങ്കിലും അവൻ തീർത്തില്ല; അതു നിമിത്തം യിസ്രായേലിന്മേൽ കോപം വന്നതു കൊണ്ടു ആ സംഖ്യ ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവിന്റെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിലെ കണക്കിൽ ചേർത്തിട്ടുമില്ല.

And over the king's treasures was Azmaveth the son of Adiel: and over the storehouses in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Jehonathan the son of Uzziah:രാജാവിന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിന്നു അദീയേലിന്റെ മകനായ അസ്മാവെത്ത് മേൽവിചാരകൻ. നിലങ്ങളിലും പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലും കോട്ടകളിലും ഉള്ള പാണ്ടിശാലകൾക്കു ഉസ്സീയാവിന്റെ മകൻ യെഹോനാഥാൻ മേൽവിചാരകൻ.

And over them that did the work of the field for tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub:വയലിൽ വേലചെയ്ത കൃഷിക്കാർക്കു കെലൂബിന്റെ മകൻ എസ്രി മേൽവിചാരകൻ.

And over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite: over the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite:മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങൾക്കു രാമാത്യനായ ശിമെയിയും മുന്തിരത്തോട്ടങ്ങളിലെ അനുഭവമായ വീഞ്ഞു സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്ന നിലവറകൾക്കു ശിഫ്മ്യനായ സബ്ദിയും മേൽവിചാരകർ.

And over the olive trees and the sycomore trees that were in the low plains was Baalhanan the Gederite: and over the cellars of oil was Joash:ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷങ്ങൾക്കും താഴ്വീതിയിലെ കാട്ടത്തികൾക്കും ഗാദേർയ്യനായ ബാൽഹാനാനും എണ്ണ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെക്കുന്ന നിലവറകൾക്കു യോവാശും മേൽവിചാരകർ.

And over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite: and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai:ശാരോനിൽ മേയുന്ന നാൽക്കാലികൾക്കു ശാരോന്യനായ ശിത്രായിയും താഴ്വരയിലെ നാൽക്കാലികൾക്കു അദായിയുടെ മകനായ ശാഫാത്തും മേൽവിചാരകർ.

Over the camels also was Obil the Ishmaelite: and over the asses was Jehdeiah the Meronothite:ഒട്ടകങ്ങൾക്കു യിശ്മായേല്യനായ ഓബീലും കഴുതകൾക്കു മേരോനോത്യനായ യെഹ്ദെയാവും മേൽവിചാരകർ.

And over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagerite. All these were the rulers of the substance which was king David's.ആടുകൾക്കു ഹഗ്രീയനായ യാസീസ് മേൽ വിചാരകൻ; ഇവർ എല്ലാവരും ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവിന്റെ വസ്തുവകകൾക്കു അധിപതിമാരായിരുന്നു.

Also Jonathan David's uncle was a counsellor, a wise man, and a scribe: and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king's sons:ദാവീദിന്റെ ചിറ്റപ്പനായ യോനാഥാൻ ബുദ്ധിമാനായൊരു മന്ത്രിയും ശാസ്ത്രിയും ആയിരുന്നു; ഹഖ്മോനിയുടെ മകനായ യെഹീയേൽ രാജകുമാരന്മാരുടെ സഹവാസി ആയിരുന്നു.

And Ahithophel was the king's counsellor: and Hushai the Archite was the king's companion:അഹീഥോഫെൽ രാജമന്ത്രി; അർഖ്യനായ ഹൂശായി രാജമിത്രം.

And after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the general of the king's army was Joab.അഹീഥോഫെലിന്റെ ശേഷം ബെനായാവിന്റെ മകനായ യെഹോയാദയും അബ്യാഥാരും മന്ത്രികൾ; രാജാവിന്റെ സേനാധിപതി യോവാബ്.

And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem.അനന്തരം ദാവീദ് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുമായ ഗോത്രപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും രാജാവിന്നു ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്ത കൂറുകളുടെ തലവന്മാരെയും സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരെയും ശതാധിപന്മാരെയും രാജാവിന്റെയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെയും സകലവസ്തുവകകൾക്കും നാൽക്കാലികൾക്കും ഉള്ള മേൽവിചാരകന്മാരെയും ഷണ്ഡന്മാരെയും വീരന്മാരെയും സകലപരാക്രമശാലികളേയും യെരൂശലേമിൽ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.

Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവു എഴുന്നേറ്റുനിന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും എന്റെ ജനവുമായുള്ളോരേ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾപ്പിൻ; യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകത്തിനും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പാദപീഠത്തിന്നുമായി ഒരു വിശ്രമാലയം പണിവാൻ എനിക്കു താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; പണിക്കുവേണ്ടി ഞാൻ വട്ടംകൂട്ടിയിരുന്നു.

But God said unto me, You shall not build an house for my name, because you have been a man of war, and have shed blood.എന്നാൽ ദൈവം എന്നോടു: നീ എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയരുതു; നീ ഒരു യോദ്ധാവാകുന്നു; രക്തവും ചൊരിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

Nevertheless the LORD God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he has chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ എന്നേക്കും യിസ്രായേലിന്നു രാജാവായിരിപ്പാൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്റെ സർവ്വപിതൃഭവനത്തിൽനിന്നും എന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു; പ്രഭുവായിരിപ്പാൻ യെഹൂദയെയും യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തിൽ എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തെയും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ വെച്ചു എന്നെ എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്നും രാജാവാക്കുവാൻ അവന്നു പ്രസാദം തോന്നി.

And of all my sons, (for the LORD has given me many sons,) he has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.എന്റെ സകലപുത്രന്മാരിലും നിന്നു--യഹോവ എനിക്കു വളരെ പുത്രന്മാരെ തന്നിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ--അവൻ എന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനെ യിസ്രായേലിൽ യഹോവയുടെ രാജാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിപ്പാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

And he said unto me, Solomon your son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.അവൻ എന്നോടു: നിന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോൻ എന്റെ ആലയവും എന്റെ പ്രാകാരങ്ങളും പണിയും; ഞാൻ അവനെ എനിക്കു പുത്രനായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവന്നു പിതാവായിരിക്കും.

Moreover I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, as at this day.അവൻ ഇന്നു ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ എന്റെ കല്പനകളും വിധികളും ആചരിപ്പാൻ സ്ഥിരത കാണിക്കുമെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ അവന്റെ രാജത്വം എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമാക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that all of you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.ആകയാൽ യഹോവയുടെ സഭയായ എല്ലായിസ്രായേലും കാൺകെയും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം കേൾക്കെയും ഞാൻ പറയുന്നതു: നിങ്ങൾ ഈ നല്ലദേശം അനുഭവിക്കയും പിന്നത്തേതിൽ അതു നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കൾക്കു ശാശ്വതാവകാശമായി വെച്ചേക്കയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനകളൊക്കെയും ആചരിക്കയും ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്‍വിൻ.

And you, Solomon my son, know you the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off for ever.നീയോ എന്റെ മകനേ, ശാലോമോനേ, നിന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ അറികയും അവനെ പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും നല്ലമനസ്സോടും കൂടെ സേവിക്കയും ചെയ്ക; യഹോവ സർവ്വഹൃദയങ്ങളെയും പരിശോധിക്കയും വിചാരങ്ങളും നിരൂപണങ്ങളും എല്ലാം ഗ്രഹിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; നീ അവനെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവനെ കണ്ടെത്തും; ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലോ അവൻ നിന്നെ എന്നേക്കും തള്ളിക്കളയും.

Take heed now; for the LORD has chosen you to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.ആകയാൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾക; വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരമായോരു ആലയം പണിവാൻ യഹോവ നിന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടു അതു നടത്തികൊൾക.

Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of the houses thereof, and of the treasuries thereof, and of the upper chambers thereof, and of the inner parlours thereof, and of the place of the mercy seat,പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് തന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോന്നു ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ മണ്ഡപം, ഉപഗൃഹങ്ങൾ, ഭണ്ഡാരഗൃഹങ്ങൾ, മാളികമുറികൾ, അറകൾ, കൃപാസനഗൃഹം എന്നിവയുടെ മാതൃകകൊടുത്തു.

And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം, പ്രാകാരങ്ങൾ, ചുറ്റുമുള്ള എല്ലാ അറകൾ, ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ ഭണ്ഡാരഗൃഹങ്ങൾ, നിവേദിത വസ്തുക്കളുടെ ഭണ്ഡാരം,

Also for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the LORD.പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെയും ലേവ്യരുടെയും കൂറുകൾ, യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ സകലശുശ്രൂഷയുടെയും വേല, യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കുള്ള സകലപാത്രങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയെല്ലാറ്റെയും കുറിച്ചു തന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മാതൃകാവിവരവും അവന്നു കൊടുത്തു.

He gave of gold by weight for things of gold, for all instruments of all manner of service; silver also for all instruments of silver by weight, for all instruments of every kind of service:അതതു ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കുള്ള ഉപകരണങ്ങൾക്കു ഒക്കെയും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ള ഉപകരണങ്ങൾക്കു തൂക്കപ്രകാരം പൊന്നും അതതു ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കുള്ള ഉപകരണങ്ങൾക്കു ഒക്കെയും വെള്ളികൊണ്ടുള്ള ഉപകരണങ്ങൾക്കു ഒക്കെയും തൂക്കപ്രകാരം

Even the weight for the candlesticks of gold, and for their lamps of gold, by weight for every candlestick, and for the lamps thereof: and for the candlesticks of silver by weight, both for the candlestick, and also for the lamps thereof, according to the use of every candlestick.വെള്ളിയും പൊൻവിളക്കുതണ്ടുകൾക്കും അവയുടെ സ്വർണ്ണദീപങ്ങൾക്കും വേണ്ടുന്ന തൂക്കമായി ഓരോവിളക്കുതണ്ടിന്നും അതിന്റെ ദീപങ്ങൾക്കും തൂക്കപ്രകാരം പൊന്നും വെള്ളികൊണ്ടുള്ള വിളക്കുതണ്ടുകൾക്കു ഓരോ തണ്ടിന്റെയും ഉപയോഗത്തിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം അതതു തണ്ടിന്നും അതതിന്റെ ദീപങ്ങൾക്കും തൂക്കപ്രകാരം വെള്ളിയും കൊടുത്തു.

And by weight he gave gold for the tables of showbread, for every table; and likewise silver for the tables of silver:കാഴ്ചയപ്പത്തിന്റെ മേശകൾക്കു ഓരോ മേശെക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന പൊന്നും വെള്ളികൊണ്ടുള്ള മേശകൾക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന വെള്ളിയും തൂക്കപ്രകാരം കൊടുത്തു.

Also pure gold for the forks, and the bowls, and the cups: and for the golden basons he gave gold by weight for every basin; and likewise silver by weight for every basin of silver:മുൾകൊളുത്തുകൾക്കും കലശങ്ങൾക്കും കുടങ്ങൾക്കും വേണ്ടുന്ന തങ്കവും പൊൻകിണ്ടികൾക്കു ഓരോ കിണ്ടിക്കു തൂക്കപ്രകാരം വേണ്ടുന്ന പൊന്നും ഓരോ വെള്ളിക്കിണ്ടിക്കു തൂക്കപ്രകാരം വേണ്ടുന്ന വെള്ളിയും കൊടുത്തു.

And for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot of the cherubims, that spread out their wings, and covered the ark of the covenant of the LORD.ധൂപപീഠത്തിന്നു തൂക്കപ്രകാരം വേണ്ടുന്ന ഊതിക്കഴിച്ച പൊന്നും ചിറകു വിരിച്ചു യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം മൂടുന്ന കെരൂബുകളായ രഥമാതൃകെക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന പൊന്നും കൊടുത്തു.

All this, said David, the LORD made me understand in writing by his hand upon me, even all the works of this pattern.ഇവയെല്ലാം ഈ മാതൃകയുടെ എല്ലാപണികളും യഹോവ എനിക്കു വേണ്ടി തന്റെ കൈകൊണ്ടു എഴുതിയ രേഖാമൂലം എന്നെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ദാവീദ് പറഞ്ഞു.

And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.പിന്നെയും ദാവീദ് തന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ബലപ്പെട്ടു ധൈര്യം പൂണ്ടു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുകൊൾക; ഭയപ്പെടരുതു, ഭ്രമിക്കയും അരുതു; യഹോവയായ ദൈവം എന്റെ ദൈവം തന്നേ, നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു. യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കുള്ള എല്ലാവേലയും നീ നിവർത്തിക്കുംവരെ അവൻ നിന്നെ കൈവിടുകയില്ല, ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും ഇല്ല.

And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with you for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with you for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at your commandment.ഇതാ, ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ സകലശുശ്രൂഷെക്കും വേണ്ടി പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെയും ലേവ്യരുടെയും കൂറുകൾ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; ഓരോവിധ ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കും മനസ്സും സമാർത്ഥ്യവും ഉള്ള ഏവരും എല്ലാവേലെക്കായിട്ടും നിന്നോടു കൂടെ ഉണ്ടു; പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും സർവ്വജനവും നിന്റെ കല്പനക്കൊക്കെയും വിധേയരായിരിക്കും.

Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.പിന്നെ ദാവീദ്‍രാജാവു സർവ്വസഭയോടും പറഞ്ഞതു: ദൈവം തന്നേ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ മകൻ ശലോമോൻ ചെറുപ്പവും ഇളംപ്രായവും ഉള്ളവൻ; പ്രവൃത്തിവലിയതും ആകുന്നു; മന്ദിരം മനുഷ്യന്നല്ല, യഹോവയായ ദൈവത്തിന്നത്രെ.

Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, flashing stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ സർവ്വബലത്തോടും കൂടെ എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ളവെക്കു പൊന്നും വെള്ളികൊണ്ടുള്ളവെക്കു വെള്ളിയും താമ്രംകൊണ്ടുള്ളവെക്കു താമ്രവും ഇരിമ്പുകൊണ്ടുള്ളവെക്കു ഇരിമ്പും മരംകൊണ്ടുള്ളവെക്കു മരവും ഗോമേദകക്കല്ലും പതിപ്പാനുള്ള കല്ലും ഖചിതപ്രവൃത്തിക്കുള്ള കല്ലും നാനവർണ്ണമുള്ള കല്ലും വിലയേറിയ സകലവിധ രത്നവും അനവധി വെള്ളക്കല്ലും ശേഖരിച്ചു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house.എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തോടു എനിക്കുള്ള പക്ഷംനിമിത്തം വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി ഞാൻ ശേഖരിച്ചതൊക്കെയും കൂടാതെ എന്റെ സ്വന്തഭണ്ഡാരത്തിലെ പൊന്നും വെള്ളിയും എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ആലയത്തിന്നായി കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses likewise:ആലയഭിത്തികളെ പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു വേണ്ടതു പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടും വെള്ളികൊണ്ടു വേണ്ടതു വെള്ളികൊണ്ടും പൊതിവാനും കൌശലപ്പണിക്കാരുടെ എല്ലാ പണിക്കായിട്ടും ഓഫീർപൊന്നായി മൂവായിരം താലന്തു പൊന്നും ഏഴായിരം താലന്തു ഊതിക്കഴിച്ച വെള്ളിയും തന്നേ.

The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?എന്നാൽ ഇന്നു യഹോവെക്കു കരപൂരണം ചെയ്‍വാൻ മനഃപൂർവ്വം അർപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ ആർ?

Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offered willingly,അപ്പോൾ പിതൃഭവനപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഗോത്രപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരും ശതാധിപന്മാരും രാജാവിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു മേൽവിചാരകന്മാരും മനഃപൂർവ്വദാനങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ വേലെക്കായിട്ടു അവർ അയ്യായിരം താലന്ത് പൊന്നും പതിനായിരം തങ്കക്കാശും പതിനായിരം താലന്ത് വെള്ളിയും പതിനെണ്ണായിരം താലന്തു താമ്രവും നൂറായിരം താലന്ത് ഇരിമ്പും കൊടുത്തു.

And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the LORD, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.രത്നങ്ങൾ കൈവശമുള്ളവർ അവയെ ഗേർശോന്യനായ യെഹീയേൽമുഖാന്തരം യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിലേക്കു കൊടുത്തു.

Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.അങ്ങനെ ജനം മനഃപൂർവ്വമായി കൊടുത്തതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ സന്തോഷിച്ചു; ഏകാഗ്രഹൃദയത്തോടെ മനഃപൂർവ്വമായിട്ടായിരുന്നു അവർ യഹോവെക്കു കൊടുത്തതു. ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവും അത്യന്തം സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be you, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് സർവ്വസഭയുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചു ചൊല്ലിയതെന്തെന്നാൽ: ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യിസ്രായേലിൻ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ.

Yours, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.യഹോവേ, മഹത്വവും ശക്തിയും തേജസ്സും യശസ്സും മഹിമയും നിനക്കുള്ളതു സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും ഭൂമിയിലുമുള്ളതൊക്കെയും നിനക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ. യഹോവേ, രാജത്വം നിനക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു; നീ സകലത്തിന്നും മീതെ തലവനായിരിക്കുന്നു.

Both riches and honour come of you, and you reign over all; and in yours hand is power and might; and in yours hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.ധനവും ബഹുമാനവും നിങ്കൽ നിന്നു വരുന്നു; നീ സർവ്വവും ഭരിക്കുന്നു; ശക്തിയും ബലവും നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; സകലത്തെയും വലുതാക്കുന്നതും ശക്തീകരിക്കുന്നതും നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയാകുന്നു.

Now therefore, our God, we thank you, and praise your glorious name.ആകയാൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമേ, ഞങ്ങൾ നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്തു നിന്റെ മഹത്വമുള്ള നാമത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നു.

But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of you, and of yours own have we given you.എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഇങ്ങനെ ഇത്ര മനഃപൂർവ്വമായി ദാനം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു പ്രാപ്തരാകുവാൻ ഞാൻ ആർ? എന്റെ ജനവും എന്തുള്ളു? സകലവും നിങ്കൽനിന്നല്ലോ വരുന്നതു; നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വാങ്ങി ഞങ്ങൾ നിനക്കു തന്നതേയുള്ളു.

For we are strangers before you, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അങ്ങളുടെ സകലപിതാക്കന്മാരെയുംപോലെ അതിഥികളും പരദേശികളും ആകുന്നു; ഭൂമിയിൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ഒരു നിഴൽ പോലെയത്രേ; യാതൊരു സ്ഥിരതയുമില്ല.

O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build you an house for yours holy name comes of yours hand, and is all yours own.ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തിന്നായി നിനക്കു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ ശേഖരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ഈ സംഗ്രഹമെല്ലാം നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നുള്ളതു; സകലവും നിനക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു.

I know also, my God, that you try the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy your people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto you.എന്റെ ദൈവമേ; നീ ഹൃദയത്തെ ശോധനചെയ്തു പരമാർത്ഥതയിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു; ഞാനോ എന്റെ ഹൃദയപരമാർത്ഥതയോടെ ഇവയെല്ലാം മനഃപൂർവ്വമായി തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു ഇപ്പോൾ ഇവിടെ കൂടിയിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ജനം നിനക്കു മനഃപൂർവ്വമായി തന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു ഞാൻ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കണ്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of your people, and prepare their heart unto you:ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെയും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഈ വിചാരങ്ങളും ഭാവവും എന്നേക്കും കാത്തു അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ നിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിക്കേണമേ.

And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.എന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോൻ നിന്റെ കല്പനകളും സാക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പണിയേണ്ടതിന്നായി ഞാൻ വട്ടംകൂട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന മന്ദിരം തീർപ്പാൻ ഇവയെല്ലാം നിവർത്തിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും അവന്നു ഒരു ഏകാഗ്രഹൃദയം നല്കേണമേ.

And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king.പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് സർവ്വസഭയോടും: ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ സഭ മുഴുവനും തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തി യഹോവയെയും രാജാവിനെയും വണങ്ങി നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the next day after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:പിന്നെ അവർ യഹോവെക്കു ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളെ അർപ്പിച്ചു; പിറ്റെന്നാൾ യഹോവെക്കു ഹോമയാഗമായി ആയിരം കാളയെയും ആയിരം ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും ആയിരം കുഞ്ഞാടിനെയും അവയുടെ പാനീയയാഗങ്ങളെയും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്നും വേണ്ടി അനവധി ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളെയും കഴിച്ചു.

And did eat and drink before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.അവർ അവന്നു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ മഹാസന്തോഷത്തോടെ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു പാനംചെയ്തു; ദാവീദിന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനെ രണ്ടാം പ്രാവശ്യം രാജാവാക്കി; അവനെ യഹോവെക്കു പ്രഭുവായിട്ടും സാദോക്കിനെ പുരോഹിതനായിട്ടും അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തു.

Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.അങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു പകരം യഹോവയുടെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ രാജാവായിരുന്നു കൃതാർത്ഥനായി. യിസ്രായേലൊക്കെയും അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചു.

And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും വീരന്മാരും ദാവീദ്‍രാജാവിന്റെ സകലപുത്രന്മാരും ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിന്നു കീഴ്പെട്ടു.

And the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.യിസ്രായേലൊക്കെയും കാൺകെ യഹോവ ശലോമോനെ അത്യന്തം മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി, യിസ്രായേലിൽ അവന്നു മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഒരു രാജാവിന്നും ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്ത രാജമഹിമയും അവന്നു നല്കി.

Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.ഇങ്ങനെ യിശ്ശായിയുടെ മകനായ ദാവീദ് എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്നും രാജാവായി വാണിരുന്നു.

And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെ വാണകാലം നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം ആയിരുന്നു; അവൻ ഏഴു സംവത്സരം ഹെബ്രോനിലും മുപ്പത്തിമൂന്നു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിലും വാണു.

And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his position.അവൻ നന്നാ വയസ്സുചെന്നവനും ആയുസ്സും ധനവും മാനവും തികഞ്ഞവനുമായി മരിച്ചു; അവന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോൻ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.

And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.ദാവീദിന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോൻ തന്റെ രാജത്വത്തിൽ സ്ഥിരപ്പെട്ടു; അവന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവനോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു അവനെ അത്യന്തം മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.

Then Solomon spoke unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.ശലോമോൻ എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിനോടും സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരോടും ശതാധിപന്മാരോടും ന്യായാധിപന്മാരോടും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരായ സകല പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടും

So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടു ശലോമോൻ സർവ്വസഭയുമായി ഗിബെയോനിലെ പൂജാഗിരിക്കു പോയി. യഹോവയുടെ ദാസനായ മോശെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ചു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സമാഗമനക്കുടാരം അവിടെ ആയിരുന്നു.

But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjathjearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.എന്നാൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം ദാവീദ് കിർയ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീമിൽനിന്നു താൻ അതിന്നായി ഒരുക്കിയിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോന്നു; അവൻ അതിന്നായി യെരൂശലേമിൽ ഒരു കൂടാരം അടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

Moreover the brazen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.ഹൂരിന്റെ മകനായ ഊരിയുടെ മകൻ ബെസലേൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ താമ്രയാഗപീഠവും അവിടെ യഹോവയുടെ തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവിടെ ശലോമോനും സഭയും അവനോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

And Solomon went up thither to the brazen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.ശലോമോൻ അവിടെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിലെ താമ്രയാഗപീഠത്തിങ്കലേക്കു ചെന്നു അതിന്മേൽ ആയിരം ഹോമയാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give you.അന്നു രാത്രി ദൈവം ശലോമോന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി അവനോടു: ഞാൻ നിനക്കു എന്തു തരേണം; ചോദിച്ചുകൊൾക എന്നരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

And Solomon said unto God, You have showed great mercy unto David my father, and have made me to reign in his position.ശലോമോൻ ദൈവത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു നീ മഹാദയകാണിച്ചു അവന്നു പകരം എന്നെ രാജാവാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Now, O LORD God, let your promise unto David my father be established: for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.ആകയാൽ യഹോവയായ ദൈവമേ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടുള്ള നിന്റെ വാഗ്ദാനം നിവൃത്തിയായ്‍വരുമാറാകട്ടെ; ഭൂമിയിലെ പൊടിപോലെ അസംഖ്യമായുള്ള ജനത്തിന്നു നീ എന്നെ രാജാവാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this your people, that is so great?ആകയാൽ ഈ ജനത്തിന്നു നായകനായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എനിക്കു ജ്ഞാനവും വിവേകവും തരേണമേ; അല്ലാതെ നിന്റെ ഈ വലിയ ജനത്തിന്നു ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ആർക്കു കഴിയും?

And God said to Solomon, Because this was in yours heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of yours enemies, neither yet have asked long life; but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king:അതിന്നു ദൈവം ശലോമോനോടു: ഇതു നിന്റെ താല്പര്യമായിരിക്കയാലും ധനം, സമ്പത്തു, മാനം, ശത്രുനിഗ്രഹം എന്നിവയോ ദീർഘായുസ്സോ ചോദിക്കാതെ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ രാജാവാക്കിവെച്ച എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു ജ്ഞാനവും വിവേകവും ചോദിച്ചിരിക്കയാലും

Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto you; and I will give you riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before you, neither shall there any after you have the like.ജ്ഞാനവും വിവേകവും നിനക്കു നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതല്ലാതെ നിനക്കു മുമ്പുള്ള രാജാക്കന്മാരിൽ ആർക്കും ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്തതും നിന്റെ ശേഷം ആർക്കും ലഭിക്കാത്തതുമായ ധനവും സമ്പത്തും മാനവും ഞാൻ നിനക്കു തരും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.പിന്നെ ശലോമോൻ ഗിബെയോനിലെ പൂജാഗിരിയിൽനിന്നു, സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു തന്നേ, യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു വന്നു യിസ്രായേലിൽ വാണു.

And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.ശലോമോൻ രഥങ്ങളെയും കുതിരച്ചേവകരെയും ശേഖരിച്ചു; അവന്നു ആയിരത്തിനാനൂറു രഥങ്ങളും പന്തീരായിരം കുതിരച്ചേവകരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവരെ അവൻ രഥനഗരങ്ങളിലും യെരൂശലേമിൽ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കലും പാർപ്പിച്ചു.

And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as abundant as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.രാജാവു യെരൂശലേമിൽ പൊന്നും വെള്ളിയും പെരുപ്പംകൊണ്ടു കല്ലുപോലെയും ദേവദാരു താഴ്വീതിയിലെ കാട്ടത്തിമരം പോലെയും ആക്കി.

And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.ശലോമോന്നു കുതിരകളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നതു മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നായിരുന്നു; രാജാവിന്റെ കച്ചവടക്കാർ അവയെ കൂട്ടമായി വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടുവരും.

And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means.അവർ മിസ്രയീമിൽ നിന്നു രഥമൊന്നിന്നു അറുനൂറും കുതിര ഒന്നിന്നു നൂറ്റമ്പതും വെള്ളിശെക്കൽ വിലകൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടുവരും; അങ്ങനെതന്നെ അവർ ഹിത്യരുടെ സകലരാജാക്കന്മാർക്കും അരാംരാജാക്കന്മാർക്കും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു കൊടുക്കും.
