Zephaniah 2

Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;നാണമില്ലാത്ത ജാതിയേ, നിർണ്ണയം ഫലിക്കുന്നതിന്നു മുമ്പെ--ദിവസം പതിർപോലെ പാറിപ്പോകുന്നു--യഹോവയുടെ ഉഗ്രകോപം നിങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ വരുന്നതിന്നു മുമ്പെ,

Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD's anger come upon you.യഹോവയുടെ കോപദിവസം നിങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ വരുന്നതിന്നു മുമ്പെ, കൂടിവരുവിൻ; അതേ, കൂടിവരുവിൻ!

Seek all of you the LORD, all you meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be all of you shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger.യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരായി ഭൂമിയിലെ സകല സൌമ്യന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, അവനെ അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ; നീതി അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ; സൌമ്യത അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ; പക്ഷെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു യഹോവയുടെ കോപദിവസത്തിൽ മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കാം.

For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.ഗസ്സാ നിർജ്ജനമാകും; അസ്കലോൻ ശൂന്യമായ്തീരും; അസ്തോദിനെ അവർ മദ്ധ്യാഹ്നത്തിങ്കൽ നീക്കിക്കളയും; എക്രോന്നു നിർമ്മൂലനാശം വരും.

Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy you, that there shall be no inhabitant.സമുദ്രതീരനിവാസികളായ ക്രേത്യജാതിക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! ഫെലിസ്ത്യദേശമായ കനാനേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിരോധമായിരിക്കുന്നു; നിനക്കു നിവാസികൾ ഇല്ലാതാകുംവണ്ണം ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിക്കും.

And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks.സമുദ്രതീരം ഇടയന്മാർക്കു കുടിലുകളും ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടങ്ങൾക്കു തൊഴുത്തുകളും ഉള്ള പുല്പുറങ്ങളായ്തീരും.

And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the LORD their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.തീരപ്രദേശം യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പിന്നു ആകും; അവർ അവിടെ മേയക്കും; അസ്കലോൻ വീടുകളിൽ അവർ വൈകുന്നേരത്തു കിടന്നുറങ്ങും; അവരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവരെ സന്ദർശിച്ചു അവരുടെ സ്ഥിതി മാറ്റുമല്ലോ.

I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, whereby they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border.മോവാബിന്റെ ധിക്കാരവും അമ്മോന്യർ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ നിന്ദിച്ചു അവരുടെ ദേശത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി വമ്പു പറഞ്ഞ ശകാരങ്ങളും ഞാൻ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

Therefore as I live, says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and salt-pits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടാവിതു: എന്നാണ, മോവാബ് സൊദോമെപ്പോലെയും അമ്മോന്യർ ഗൊമോറയെപ്പോലെയും തൂവക്കാടും ഉപ്പുപടനയും ശാശ്വതശൂന്യവും ആയിത്തിരും; എന്റെ ജനത്തിൽ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവർ അവരെ കവർച്ച ചെയ്യും; എന്റെ ജാതിയിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവർ അവരുടെ ദേശത്തെ അവകാശമായി പ്രാപിക്കും.

This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the LORD of hosts.ഇതു അവരുടെ അഹങ്കാരംനിമിത്തം അവർക്കു ഭവിക്കും; അവർ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ ജനത്തോടു നിന്ദയും വമ്പും കാട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

The LORD will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.യഹോവ അവരോടു ഭയങ്കരനായിരിക്കും; അവൻ ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലദേവന്മാരെയും ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കും; ജാതികളുടെ സകല ദ്വീപുകളും അതതു സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു അവനെ നമസ്കരിക്കും;

All of you Ethiopians also, all of you shall be slain by my sword.നിങ്ങളോ കൂശ്യരേ, എന്റെ വാളിനാൽ നിഹതന്മാർ!

And he will stretch out his hand against the north, and destroy Assyria; and will make Nineveh a desolation, and dry like a wilderness.അവൻ വടക്കോട്ടു കൈ നീട്ടി അശ്ശൂരിനെ നശിപ്പിക്കും; നീനെവേയെ ശൂന്യവും മരുഭൂമിയിലെ വരണ്ട നിലവും ആക്കും.

And flocks shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the cormorant and the bittern shall lodge in the upper lintels of it; their voice shall sing in the windows; desolation shall be in the thresholds; for he shall uncover the cedar work.അതിന്റെ നടുവിൽ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടങ്ങളും നാനാജാതി മൃഗങ്ങളും കിടക്കും; അതിന്റെ പോതികകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ വേഴാമ്പലും മുള്ളനും രാപാർക്കും; കിളിവാതിൽക്കൽ പാട്ടു പാടുന്നതു കേട്ടോ! ദേവദാരുപ്പണി പറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കയാൽ ഉമ്മരപ്പടിക്കൽ ശൂന്യതയുണ്ടു.

This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passes by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.ഞാനേയുള്ളു; ഞാനല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരുമില്ല എന്നു ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞു നിർഭയം വസിച്ചിരുന്ന ഉല്ലസിതനഗരം ഇതു തന്നേ; ഇതു ശൂന്യവും മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കു കിടപ്പിടവുമായ്തീർന്നതെങ്ങനെ; അതിന്നരികെ കൂടിപോകുന്ന ഏവനും ചൂളകത്തി കൈ കുലുക്കും.

Zephaniah 3

Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!മത്സരവും മലിനതയും ഉള്ളതും പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നതും ആയ നഗരത്തിന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD; she drew not near to her God.അവൾ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല പ്രബോധനം കൈക്കൊണ്ടിട്ടില്ല; യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; തന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടു അടുത്തുവന്നിട്ടുമില്ല.

Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the next day.അതിന്നകത്തു അതിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ ഗർജ്ജിക്കുന്ന സിംഹങ്ങൾ; അതിന്റെ ന്യായാധിപതിമാർ വൈകുന്നേരത്തെ ചെന്നായ്ക്കൾ; അവർ പ്രഭാതകാലത്തേക്കു ഒന്നും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ല.

Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.അതിന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്മാർ ലഘുബുദ്ധികളും വിശ്വാസപാതകന്മാരും ആകുന്നു; അതിന്റെ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി, ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ ബലാൽക്കാരം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

The just LORD is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning does he bring his judgment to light, he fails not; but the unjust knows no shame.യഹോവ അതിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ നീതിമാനാകുന്നു അവൻ നീതികേടു ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല; രാവിലേരാവിലേ അവൻ തന്റെ ന്യായത്തെ തെറ്റാതെ വെളിച്ചത്താക്കുന്നു; നീതികെട്ടവനോ നാണം എന്തെന്നറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാ.

I have cut off the nations: their towers are desolate; I made their streets waste, that none passes by: their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, that there is none inhabitant.ഞാൻ ജാതികളെ ഛേദിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അവരുടെ കൊത്തളങ്ങൾ ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ വീഥികളെ ആരും കടന്നുപോകാതവണ്ണം ശൂന്യമാക്കി, അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ഒരു മനുഷ്യനും നിവാസിയും ഇല്ലാതെ നശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

I said, Surely you will fear me, you will receive instruction; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early, and corrupted all their doings.നീ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു പ്രബോധനം കൈക്കൊൾക എന്നു ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ അവളെ സന്ദർശിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അവളുടെ പാർപ്പിടം ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ലായിരുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവർ ജാഗ്രതയോടെ തങ്ങളുടെ ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തുപോന്നു.

Therefore wait all of you upon me, says the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ സാക്ഷിയായി എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്ന ദിവസംവരെ എനിക്കായി കാത്തിരിപ്പിൻ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; എന്റെ ക്രോധവും എന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപവും പകരേണ്ടതിന്നു ജാതികളെ ചേർക്കുവാനും രാജ്യങ്ങളെ കൂട്ടുവാനും ഞാൻ നിർണ്ണയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; സർവ്വഭൂമിയും എന്റെ തീക്ഷ്ണതാഗ്നിക്കു ഇരയായ്തീരും.

For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.അപ്പോൾ സകല ജാതികളും യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചു ഏകമനസ്സോടെ അവനെ സേവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ അവർക്കു നിർമ്മലമായുള്ള അധരങ്ങളെ വരുത്തും.

From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.കൂശ് നദികളുടെ അക്കരെനിന്നു എന്റെ നമസ്കാരികൾ, എന്റെ ചിതറിപ്പോയവരുടെ സഭതന്നേ, എനിക്കു വഴിപാടു കൊണ്ടുവരും.

In that day shall you not be ashamed for all your doings, wherein you have transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of you them that rejoice in your pride, and you shall no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.അന്നാളിൽ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേനിന്നു നിന്റെ ഗർവ്വോല്ലസിതന്മാരെ നീക്കിക്കളയും നീ എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപർവ്വതത്തിൽ ഇനി ഗർവ്വിക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നീ എന്നോടു അതിക്രമമായി ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളും നിമിത്തം നീ അന്നാളിൽ ലജ്ജിക്കേണ്ടിവരികയില്ല.

I will also leave in the midst of you an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നടുവിൽ താഴ്മയും ദാരിദ്ര്യവും ഉള്ളോരു ജനത്തെ ശേഷിപ്പിക്കും; അവർ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ശരണം പ്രാപിക്കും.

The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.യിസ്രായേലിൽ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവർ നീതികേടു പ്രവർത്തിക്കയില്ല; ഭോഷ്കുപറകയുമില്ല; ചതിവുള്ള നാവു അവരുടെ വായിൽ ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; അവർ മേഞ്ഞുകിടക്കും; ആരും അവരെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുകയുമില്ല.

Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.സീയോൻ പുത്രിയേ, ഘോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്ക; യിസ്രായേലേ, ആർപ്പിടുക; യെരൂശലേം പുത്രിയേ, പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ സന്തോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്ക.

The LORD has taken away your judgments, he has cast out yours enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of you: you shall not see evil any more.യഹോവ നിന്റെ ന്യായവിധികളെ മാറ്റി, നിന്റെ ശത്രുവിനെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രാജാവായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനി നീ അനർത്ഥം കാണുകയില്ല.

In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear you not: and to Zion, Let not yours hands be slack.അന്നാളിൽ അവർ യെരൂശലേമിനോടു: ഭയപ്പെടരുതെന്നും സീയോനോടു: അധൈര്യപ്പെടരുതെന്നും പറയും.

The LORD your God in the midst of you is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over you with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over you with singing.നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ രക്ഷിക്കുന്ന വീരനായി നിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ നിന്നിൽ അത്യന്തം സന്തോഷിക്കും; തന്റെ സ്നേഹത്തിൽ അവൻ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കുന്നു; ഘോഷത്തോടെ അവൻ നിങ്കൽ ആനന്ദിക്കും.

I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of you, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.ലജ്ജാഭാരം വഹിച്ചവളായ നിനക്കുള്ളവരായി സംഘത്തെ വിട്ടു ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ ചേർത്തുകൊള്ളും.

Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict you: and I will save her that haltes, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.നിന്നെ ക്ളേശിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഏവരോടും ഞാൻ ആ കാലത്തു ഇടപെടും; മുടന്തിനടക്കുന്നതിനെ ഞാൻ രക്ഷിക്കയും ചിതറിപ്പോയതിനെ ശേഖരിക്കയും സർവ്വഭൂമിയിലും ലജ്ജനേരിട്ടവരെ പ്രശംസയും കീർത്തിയുമാക്കിത്തീർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, says the LORD.ആ കാലത്തു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ വരുത്തുകയും ആ കാലത്തു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ശേഖരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും; നിങ്ങൾ കാൺകെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാസികളെ മടക്കിവരുത്തുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയിൽ കീർത്തിയും പ്രശംസയും ആക്കിത്തീർക്കുമെന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Haggai 1

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,ദാർയ്യാവേശ് രാജാവിന്റെ രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടു, ആറാം മാസം, ഒന്നാം തിയ്യതി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഹഗ്ഗായിപ്രവാചകൻ മുഖാന്തരം യെഹൂദാദേശാധിപതിയായി ശെയല്തീയേലിന്റെ മകനായ സെരുബ്ബാബേലിന്നും മഹാപുരോഹിതനായി യെഹോസാദാക്കിന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവെക്കും ഉണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD's house should be built.സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം പണിവാനുള്ള കാലം വന്നിട്ടില്ലെന്നു ഈ ജനം പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,ഹഗ്ഗായി പ്രവാചകൻ മുഖാന്തരം യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Is it time for you, O all of you, to dwell in your covered over houses, and this house lie waste?ഈ ആലയം ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു തട്ടിട്ട വീടുകളിൽ പാർപ്പാൻ കാലമായോ?

Now therefore thus says the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.ആകയാൽ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികളെ വിചാരിച്ചുനോക്കുവിൻ.

All of you have sown much, and bring in little; all of you eat, but all of you have not enough; all of you drink, but all of you are not filled with drink; all of you clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earns wages earns wages to put it into a bag with holes.നിങ്ങൾ വളരെ വിതെച്ചിട്ടും അല്പമേ കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നുള്ളു; നിങ്ങൾ ഭക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടും പൂർത്തിവരുന്നില്ല; പാനം ചെയ്തിട്ടും തൃപ്തിവരുന്നില്ല വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചിട്ടും ആർക്കും കുളിർ മാറുന്നില്ല; കൂലിക്കാരൻ ഓട്ടസഞ്ചിയിൽ ഇടുവാൻ കൂലിവാങ്ങുന്നു.

Thus says the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികളെ വിചാരിച്ചുനോക്കുവിൻ.

Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, says the LORD.നിങ്ങൾ മലയിൽ ചെന്നു മരം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ആലയം പണിവിൻ; ഞാൻ അതിൽ പ്രസാദിച്ചു മഹത്വപ്പെടും എന്നു യഹോവ കല്പിക്കുന്നു.

All of you looked for much, and, lo it came to little; and when all of you brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? says the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and all of you run every man unto his own house.നിങ്ങൾ അധികം കിട്ടുമെന്നു കാത്തിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അതു അല്പമായ്തീർന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ അതു വീട്ടിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ഞാനോ അതു ഊതിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അതെന്തുകൊണ്ടു? എന്റെ ആലയം ശൂന്യമായ്ക്കിടക്കയും നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തനും താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു ഓടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം ആകാശം മഞ്ഞു പെയ്യാതെ അടഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമി അനുഭവം തരുന്നതുമില്ല.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.അങ്ങനെ ശെയല്തീയേലിന്റെ മകനായ സെരുബ്ബാബേലും മഹാപുരോഹിതനായി യെഹോസാദാക്കിന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവയും ജനത്തിൽ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള ഏവരുമായി തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കും തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നിയോഗത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഹഗ്ഗായി പ്രവാചകന്റെ വചനങ്ങളും കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചു; ജനം യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

Then spoke Haggai the LORD's messenger in the LORD's message unto the people, saying, I am with you, says the LORD.അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതനായ ഹഗ്ഗായി യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതായി ജനത്തോടു: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഉണ്ടെന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,യഹോവ യെഹൂദാദേശാധിപതിയായി ശെയല്തീയേലിന്റെ മകനായ സെരുബ്ബാബേലിന്റെ മനസ്സും മഹാപുരോഹിതനായി യെഹോസാദാക്കിന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവയുടെ മനസ്സും ജനത്തിൽ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള ഏവരുടെയും മനസ്സും ഉണർത്തി; അവർ വന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിങ്കൽ വേല ചെയ്തു.
