These things have I spoken unto you, that all of you should not be offended.നിങ്ങൾ ഇടറിപ്പോകാതിരിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time comes, that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service.അവർ നിങ്ങളെ പള്ളിഭ്രഷ്ടർ ആക്കും; അത്രയുമല്ല നിങ്ങളെ കൊല്ലുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം ദൈവത്തിന്നു വഴിപാടു കഴിക്കുന്നു എന്നു വിചാരിക്കുന്ന നാഴിക വരുന്നു.

And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.അവർ പിതാവിനെയും എന്നെയും അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യും.

But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, all of you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.അതിന്റെ നാഴിക വരുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അതു നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ഓർക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ആദിയിൽ ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയാഞ്ഞതു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കകൊണ്ടത്രേ.

But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asks me, Where go you?ഇപ്പോഴോ ഞാൻ എന്നെ അയച്ചവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോകുന്നു: നീ എവിടെ പോകുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ആരും എന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നില്ല.

But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow has filled your heart.എങ്കിലും ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ദുഃഖം നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു സത്യം പറയുന്നു; ഞാൻ പോകുന്നതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രയോജനം; ഞാൻ പോകാഞ്ഞാൽ കാര്യസ്ഥൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരികയില്ല; ഞാൻ പോയാൽ അവനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയക്കും.

And when he has come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:അവൻ വന്നു പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും നീതിയെക്കുറിച്ചും ന്യായവിധിയെക്കുറിച്ചും ലോകത്തിന്നു ബോധം വരുത്തും.

Of sin, because they believe not on me;അവർ എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും

Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and all of you see me no more;ഞാൻ പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോകയും നിങ്ങൾ ഇനി എന്നെ കാണാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു

Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.നീതിയെക്കുറിച്ചും ഈ ലോകത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭു വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു ന്യായവിധിയെക്കുറിച്ചും തന്നേ.

I have yet many things to say unto you, but all of you cannot bear them now.ഇനിയും വളരെ നിങ്ങളോടു പറവാൻ ഉണ്ടു; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഇപ്പോൾ വഹിപ്പാൻ കഴിവില്ല.

Nevertheless when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.സത്യത്തിന്റെ ആത്മാവു വരുമ്പോഴോ അവൻ നിങ്ങളെ സകല സത്യത്തിലും വഴിനടത്തും; അവൻ സ്വയമായി സംസാരിക്കാതെ താൻ കേൾക്കുന്നതു സംസാരിക്കയും വരുവാനുള്ളതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു അറിയിച്ചുതരികയും ചെയ്യും.

He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.അവൻ എനിക്കുള്ളതിൽനിന്നു എടുത്തു നിങ്ങൾക്കു അറിയിച്ചുതരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും.

All things that the Father has are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.പിതാവിന്നുള്ളതു ഒക്കെയും എനിക്കുള്ളതു; അതുകൊണ്ടത്രേ അവൻ എനിക്കുള്ളതിൽ നിന്നു എടുത്തു നിങ്ങൾക്കു അറിയിച്ചുതരും എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞതു.

A little while, and all of you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and all of you shall see me, because I go to the Father.കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല; പിന്നെയും കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കാണും.

Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he says unto us, A little while, and all of you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and all of you shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ചിലർ: കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല; പിന്നെയും കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു എന്നെ കാണും എന്നും പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോകുന്നു എന്നും അവൻ നമ്മോടു ഈ പറയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു തമ്മിൽ ചോദിച്ചു.

They said therefore, What is this that he says, A little while? we cannot tell what he says.കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു എന്നു ഈ പറയുന്നതു എന്താകുന്നു? അവൻ എന്തു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നും അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do all of you enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and all of you shall not see me: and again, a little while, and all of you shall see me?അവർ തന്നോടു ചോദിപ്പാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞു യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല; പിന്നെയും കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു എന്നെ കാണും എന്നു ഞാൻ പറകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ ചോദിക്കുന്നുവോ?

Verily, verily, I say unto you, That all of you shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and all of you shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ കരഞ്ഞു വിലപിക്കും; ലോകമോ സന്തോഷിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ ദുഃഖിക്കും; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുഃഖം സന്തോഷമായിത്തീരും.

A woman when she is in travail has sorrow, because her hour has come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembers no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.സ്ത്രീ പ്രസവിക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്റെ നാഴിക വന്നതു കൊണ്ടു അവൾക്കു ദുഃഖം ഉണ്ടു; കുഞ്ഞിനെ പ്രസവിച്ചശേഷമോ ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ ലോകത്തിലേക്കു പിറന്നിരിക്കുന്ന സന്തോഷം നിമിത്തം അവൾ തന്റെ കഷ്ടം പിന്നെ ഓർക്കുന്നില്ല.

And all of you now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man takes from you.അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഇപ്പോൾ ദുഃഖം ഉണ്ടു എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ പിന്നെയും നിങ്ങളെ കാണും; നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം സന്തോഷിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തോഷം ആരും നിങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു എടുത്തുകളകയില്ല.

And in that day all of you shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever all of you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.അന്നു നിങ്ങൾ എന്നോടു ഒന്നും ചോദിക്കയില്ല. ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ പിതാവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും അവൻ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു തരും.

Until now have all of you asked nothing in my name: ask, and all of you shall receive, that your joy may be full.ഇന്നുവരെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഒന്നും അപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; അപേക്ഷിപ്പിൻ; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തോഷം പൂർണ്ണമാകുംവണ്ണം നിങ്ങൾക്കു ലഭിക്കും.

These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time comes, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall show you plainly of the Father.ഇതു ഞാൻ സദൃശമായി നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ഇനി സദൃശമായി നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കാതെ പിതാവിനെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു സ്പഷ്ടമായി നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിക്കുന്ന നാഴിക വരുന്നു.

At that day all of you shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:അന്നു നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ അപേക്ഷിക്കും; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി പിതാവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയുന്നില്ല.

For the Father himself loves you, because all of you have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിച്ചു, ഞാൻ പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു വിശ്വസിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു പിതാവു താനും നിങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.

I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.ഞാൻ പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ലോകത്തിൽ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെയും ലോകത്തെ വിട്ടു പിതാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോകുന്നു.

His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speak you plainly, and speak no proverb.അതിന്നു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ: ഇപ്പോൾ നീ സദൃശം ഒന്നും പറയാതെ സ്പഷ്ടമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

Now are we sure that you know all things, and need not that any man should ask you: by this we believe that you came forth from God.നീ സകലവും അറിയുന്നു എന്നും ആരും നിന്നോടു ചോദിപ്പാൻ നിനക്കു ആവശ്യം ഇല്ല എന്നും ഞങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ അറിയുന്നു; ഇതിനാൽ നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Jesus answered them, Do all of you now believe?യേശു അവരോടു: ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവോ?

Behold, the hour comes, yea, is now come, that all of you shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ സ്വന്തത്തിലേക്കു ചിതറിപ്പോകയും എന്നെ ഏകനായി വിടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന നാഴിക വരുന്നു; വന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു; പിതാവു എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉള്ളതു കൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ ഏകനല്ല താനും.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me all of you might have peace. In the world all of you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്നിൽ സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ലോകത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കഷ്ടം ഉണ്ടു; എങ്കിലും ധൈര്യപ്പെടുവിൻ; ഞാൻ ലോകത്തെ ജയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

John 17

These words spoke Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son, that your Son also may glorify you:ഇതു സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടു യേശു സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തേക്കു നോക്കി പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: പിതാവേ, നാഴിക വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ പുത്രൻ നിന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു പുത്രനെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തേണമേ.

As you have given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as you have given him.നീ അവന്നു നല്കീട്ടുള്ളവർക്കെല്ലാവർക്കും അവൻ നിത്യജീവനെ കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ സകല ജഡത്തിന്മേലും അവന്നു അധികാരം നൽക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.ഏകസത്യദൈവമായ നിന്നെയും നീ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനെയും അറിയുന്നതു തന്നേ നിത്യജീവൻ ആകുന്നു.

I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the work which you gave me to do.ഞാൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി, നീ എനിക്കു ചെയ്‍വാൻ തന്ന പ്രവൃത്തി തികെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

And now, O Father, glorify you me with yours own self with the glory which I had with you before the world was.ഇപ്പോൾ പിതാവേ, ലോകം ഉണ്ടാകുംമുമ്പെ എനിക്കു നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മഹത്വത്തിൽ എന്നെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തേണമേ.

I have manifested your name unto the men which you gave me out of the world: yours they were, and you gave them me; and they have kept your word.നീ ലോകത്തിൽനിന്നു എനിക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള മനുഷ്യർക്കു ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നാമം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. അവർ നിനക്കുള്ളവർ ആയിരുന്നു; നീ അവരെ എനിക്കു തന്നു; അവർ നിന്റെ വചനം പ്രമാണിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

Now they have known that all things whatsoever you have given me are of you.നീ എനിക്കു തന്നതു എല്ലാം നിന്റെ പക്കൽ നിന്നു ആകുന്നു എന്നു അവർ ഇപ്പോൾ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

For I have given unto them the words which you gave me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from you, and they have believed that you did send me.നീ എനിക്കു തന്ന വചനം ഞാൻ അവർക്കു കൊടുത്തു; അവർ അതു കൈക്കൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സത്യമായിട്ടു അറിഞ്ഞും നീ എന്നെ അയച്ചു എന്നു വിശ്വസിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which you have given me; for they are yours.ഞാൻ അവർക്കു വേണ്ടി അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; ലോകത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി അല്ല; നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ളവർ നിനക്കുള്ളവർ ആകകൊണ്ടു അവർക്കു വേണ്ടിയത്രേ ഞാൻ അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു.

And all mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I am glorified in them.എന്റേതു എല്ലാം നിന്റേതും നിന്റേതു എന്റേതും ആകുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവരിൽ മഹത്വപ്പെട്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to you. Holy Father, keep through yours own name those whom you have given me, that they may be one, as we are.ഇനി ഞാൻ ലോകത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നില്ല; ഇവരോ ലോകത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നു. പരിശുദ്ധപിതാവേ, അവർ നമ്മെപ്പോലെ ഒന്നാകേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ അവരെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളേണമേ.

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name: those that you gave me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.അവരോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അവരെ നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ കാത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവരെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു; തിരുവെഴുത്തിന്നു നിവൃത്തി വരേണ്ടതിന്നു ആ നാശയോഗ്യനല്ലാതെ അവരിൽ ആരും നശിച്ചുപോയിട്ടില്ല.

And now come I to you; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.ഇപ്പോഴോ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നു; എന്റെ സന്തോഷം അവർക്കു ഉള്ളിൽ പൂർണ്ണമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു ലോകത്തിൽവെച്ചു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

I have given them your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.ഞാൻ അവർക്കു നിന്റെ വചനം കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ലൌകികനല്ലാത്തതുപോലെ അവരും ലൌകികന്മാരല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു ലോകം അവരെ പകെച്ചു.

I pray not that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil.അവരെ ലോകത്തിൽ നിന്നു എടുക്കേണം എന്നല്ല, ദുഷ്ടന്റെ കയ്യിൽ അകപ്പെടാതവണ്ണം അവരെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളേണം എന്നത്രേ ഞാൻ അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു.

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.ഞാൻ ലൌകികനല്ലാത്തതുപോലെ അവരും ലൌകികന്മാരല്ല.

Sanctify them through your truth: your word is truth.സത്യത്താൽ അവരെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണമേ, നിന്റെ വചനം സത്യം ആകുന്നു.

As you have sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.നീ എന്നെ ലോകത്തിലേക്കു അയച്ചതുപോലെ ഞാൻ അവരെയും ലോകത്തിലേക്കു അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.അവരും സാക്ഷാൽ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ അവർക്കു വേണ്ടി എന്നെത്തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നു.

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;ഇവർക്കു വേണ്ടിമാത്രമല്ല, ഇവരുടെ വചനത്താൽ എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്നവർക്കു വേണ്ടിയും ഞാൻ അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me.നീ എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ലോകം വിശ്വസിപ്പാൻ അവർ എല്ലാവരും ഒന്നാകേണ്ടതിന്നു, പിതാവേ, നീ എന്നിലും ഞാൻ നിന്നിലും ആകുന്നതുപോലെ അവരും നമ്മിൽ ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

And the glory which you gave me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള മഹത്വം ഞാൻ അവർക്കു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു;

I in them, and you in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me.നീ എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നും നീ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവരെയും സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നും ലോകം അറിവാൻ, നാം ഒന്നായിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവരും ഒന്നാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ അവരിലും നീ എന്നിലുമായി അവർ ഐക്യത്തിൽ തികെഞ്ഞവരായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നെ.

When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples.ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുമായി കെദ്രോൻ തോട്ടിന്നു അക്കരെക്കു പോയി. അവിടെ ഒരു തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതിൽ അവനും ശിഷ്യന്മാരും കടന്നു.

And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus frequently resorted thither with his disciples.അവിടെ യേശു പലപ്പോഴും ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ പോയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്ത യൂദയും ആ സ്ഥലം അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, comes thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.അങ്ങനെ യൂദാ പട്ടാളത്തെയും മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും പരീശന്മാരും അയച്ച ചേവകരെയും കൂട്ടികൊണ്ടു ദീപട്ടിപന്തങ്ങളും ആയുധങ്ങളുമായി അവിടെ വന്നു.

Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek all of you?യേശു തനിക്കു നേരിടുവാനുള്ളതു എല്ലാം അറിഞ്ഞു പുറത്തുചെന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ ആരെ തിരയുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus says unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.നസറായനായ യേശുവിനെ എന്നു അവർ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ: അതു ഞാൻ തന്നേ എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു; അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്ന യൂദയും അവരോടുകൂടെ നിന്നിരുന്നു.

As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.ഞാൻ തന്നേ എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവർ പിൻവാങ്ങി നിലത്തുവീണു.

Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore all of you seek me, let these go their way:ഞാൻ തന്നേ എന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ; എന്നെ ആകുന്നു തിരയുന്നതെങ്കിൽ ഇവർ പോയ്ക്കൊള്ളട്ടെ എന്നു യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Of them which you gave me have I lost none.നീ എനിക്കു തന്നവരിൽ ആരും നഷ്ടമായിപ്പോയിട്ടില്ല എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കിന്നു ഇതിനാൽ നിവൃത്തിവന്നു.

Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.കയ്യഫാവോ: ജനത്തിനുവേണ്ടി ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ മരിക്കുന്നതു നന്നു എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാരോടു ആലോചന പറഞ്ഞവൻ തന്നേ.

And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസും മറ്റൊരു ശിഷ്യനും യേശുവിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു; ആ ശിഷ്യൻ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്നു പരിചയമുള്ളവൻ ആകയാൽ യേശുവിനോടുകൂടെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ നടുമുറ്റത്തു കടന്നു.

But Peter stood at the door without. And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself.അന്നു കുളിർ ആകകൊണ്ടു ദാസന്മാരും ചേവകരും കനൽ കൂട്ടി തീ കാഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; പത്രൊസും അവരോടുകൂടെ തീ കാഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടുനിന്നു.

The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ യേശുവിനോടു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെയും ഉപദേശത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു ചോദിച്ചു.

Jesus answered him, I spoke openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, where the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.അതിന്നു യേശു: ഞാൻ ലോകത്തോടു പരസ്യമായി സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പള്ളിയിലും എല്ലാ യെഹൂദന്മാരും കൂടുന്ന ദൈവാലയത്തിലും ഞാൻ എപ്പോഴും ഉപദേശിച്ചു;

Why ask you me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.രഹസ്യമായി ഒന്നും സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. നീ എന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? ഞാൻ സംസാരിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നു കേട്ടവരോടു ചോദിക്ക; ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞതു അവർ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answer you the high priest so?അവൻ ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുമ്പോൾ ചേവകരിൽ അരികെ നിന്ന ഒരുത്തൻ: മഹാപുരോഹിതനോടു ഇങ്ങനെയോ ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യേശുവിന്റെ കന്നത്തു ഒന്നടിച്ചു.

Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smite you me?യേശു അവനോടു: ഞാൻ ദോഷമായി സംസാരിച്ചു എങ്കിൽ തെളിവു കൊടുക്ക; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്നെ തല്ലുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.ഹന്നാവു അവനെ കെട്ടപ്പെട്ടവനായി മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ കയ്യഫാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു.

And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Are not you also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസ് തീ കാഞ്ഞുനില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ: നീയും അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനല്ലയോ എന്നു ചിലർ അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു; അല്ല എന്നു അവൻ മറുത്തുപറഞ്ഞു.

One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, says, Did not I see you in the garden with him?മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ ദാസന്മാരിൽ വെച്ച പത്രൊസ് കാതറുത്തവന്റെ ചാർച്ചക്കാരനായ ഒരുത്തൻ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അവനോടുകൂടെ തോട്ടത്തിൽ കണ്ടില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.പത്രൊസ് പിന്നെയും മറുത്തുപറഞ്ഞു; ഉടനെ കോഴി കൂകി!

Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.പുലർച്ചെക്കു അവർ യേശുവിനെ കയ്യഫാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു ആസ്ഥാനത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; തങ്ങൾ അശുദ്ധമാകാതെ പെസഹ കഴിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ആസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ കടന്നില്ല.

Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring all of you against this man?പീലാത്തൊസ് അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തുവന്നു: ഈ മനുഷ്യന്റെ നേരെ എന്തു കുറ്റം ബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

They answered and said unto him, If he were not a villain, we would not have delivered him up unto you.കുറ്റക്കാരൻ അല്ലാഞ്ഞു എങ്കിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ അവനെ നിന്റെ പക്കൽ ഏല്പിക്കയില്ലായിരുന്നു എന്നു അവർ അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

Then said Pilate unto them, Take all of you him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:പീലാത്തൊസ് അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി നിങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണപ്രകാരം വിധിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനോടു: മരണശിക്ഷെക്കുള്ള അധികാരം ഞങ്ങൾക്കില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying what death he should die.യേശു താൻ മരിപ്പാനുള്ള മരണവിധം സൂചിപ്പിച്ചവാക്കിന്നു ഇതിനാൽ നിവൃത്തിവന്നു.

Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Are you the King of the Jews?പീലാത്തൊസ് പിന്നെയും ആസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ചെന്നു യേശുവിനെ വിളിച്ചു: നീ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

Jesus answered him, Says you this thing of yourself, or did others tell it you of me?അതിന്നു ഉത്തരമായി യേശു: ഇതു നീ സ്വയമായി പറയുന്നതോ മറ്റുള്ളവർ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Yours own nation and the chief priests have delivered you unto me: what have you done?പീലാത്തൊസ് അതിന്നു ഉത്തരമായി: ഞാൻ യെഹൂദനോ? നിന്റെ ജനവും മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും നിന്നെ നിന്റെ പക്കൽ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്തു ചെയ്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു യേശു:

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from behind.എന്റെ രാജ്യം ഐഹികമല്ല; എന്നു എന്റെ രാജ്യം ഐഹികം ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ എന്നെ യഹൂദന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കാതവണ്ണം എന്റെ ചേവകർ പോരാടുമായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ എന്റെ രാജ്യം ഐഹികമല്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

Pilate therefore said unto him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You says that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.പീലാത്തൊസ് അവനോടു: എന്നാൽ നീ രാജാവു തന്നേയല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു യേശു: നീ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഞാൻ രാജാവുതന്നേ; സത്യത്തിന്നു സാക്ഷിനിൽക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ ജനിച്ചു അതിന്നായി ലോകത്തിൽ വന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു; സത്യതല്പരനായവൻ എല്ലാം എന്റെ വാക്കുകേൾക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

Pilate says unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and says unto them, I find in him no fault at all.പീലാത്തൊസ് അവനോടു: സത്യം എന്നാൽ എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു പിന്നെയും യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തു ചെന്നു അവരോടു: ഞാൻ അവനിൽ ഒരു കുറ്റവും കാണുന്നില്ല.

But all of you have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will all of you therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?എന്നാൽ പെസഹയിൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഒരുത്തനെ വിട്ടുതരിക പതിവുണ്ടല്ലോ; യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവിനെ വിട്ടുതരുന്നതു സമ്മതമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവർ പിന്നെയും:

Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.ഇവനെ വേണ്ടാ; ബറബ്ബാസിനെ മതി എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു; ബറബ്ബാസോ കവർച്ചക്കാരൻ ആയിരുന്നു.
