So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.ദാവീദ് വയോധികനും കാലസമ്പൂർണ്ണനും ആയപ്പോൾ തന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോനെ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു രാജാവാക്കി.

And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും എല്ലാം കൂട്ടി വരുത്തി,

Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty and eight thousand.ലേവ്യരിൽ മുപ്പതു വയസ്സുമുതൽ മേലോട്ടുള്ളവരെ എണ്ണി; ആളെണ്ണം പേരുപേരായി അവർ മുപ്പത്തെണ്ണായിരം ആയിരുന്നു.

Of which, twenty and four thousand were to set forward the work of the house of the LORD; and six thousand were officers and judges:അവരിൽ ഇരുപത്തിനാലായിരം പേർ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ വേല നടത്തേണ്ടുന്നവരും ആറായിരംപേർ പ്രമാണികളും

Moreover four thousand were porters; and four thousand praised the LORD with the instruments which I made, said David, to praise therewith.ന്യായാധിപന്മാരും നാലായിരം പേർ വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാരും നാലായിരംപേർ സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു ദാവീദ് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ വാദ്യങ്ങളാൽ യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നവരും ആയിരുന്നു;

And David divided them into courses among the sons of Levi, namely, Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.ദാവീദ് അവരെ ലേവിപുത്രന്മാരായ ഗേർശോൻ, കെഹാത്ത്, മെരാരി എന്നീ ക്രമപ്രകാരം കൂറുകളായി വിഭാഗിച്ചു.

Of the Gershonites were, Laadan, and Shimei.ഗേർശോന്യർ: ലദ്ദാൻ, ശിമെയി.

The sons of Laadan; the chief was Jehiel, and Zetham, and Joel, three.ലദ്ദാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: തലവനായ യെഹീയേൽ, സേഥാം, യോവേൽ ഇങ്ങനെ മൂന്നുപേർ.

The sons of Shimei; Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the chief of the fathers of Laadan.ശിമെയിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ശെലോമീത്ത്, ഹസീയേൽ, ഹാരാൻ ഇങ്ങനെ മൂന്നുപേർ; ഇവർ ലദ്ദാന്റെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങൾക്കു തലവന്മാർ ആയിരുന്നു.

And the sons of Shimei were, Jahath, Zina, and Jeush, and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shimei.ശിമെയിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: യഹത്ത്, സീനാ, യെയൂശ്, ബെരീയാം; ഈ നാലുപേർ ശിമെയിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ.

And Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second: but Jeush and Beriah had not many sons; therefore they were in one reckoning, according to their father's house.യഹത്ത് തലവനും സീനാ രണ്ടാമനും ആയിരുന്നു; യെയൂശിന്നും ബെരിയെക്കും അധികം പുത്രന്മാർ ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ ഏകപിതൃഭവനമായി എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

The sons of Kohath; Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.കെഹാത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അമ്രാം, യിസ്ഹാർ, ഹെബ്രോൻ, ഉസ്സീയേൽ ഇങ്ങനെ നാലുപേർ.

The sons of Amram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister unto him, and to bless in his name for ever.അമ്രാമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: അഹരോൻ, മോശെ; അഹരോനും പുത്രന്മാരും അതിവിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളെ ശുദ്ധീകരിപ്പാനും യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ധൂപംകാട്ടുവാനും അവന്നു ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്‍വാനും എപ്പോഴും അവന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാനും സദാകാലത്തേക്കും വേർതിരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

Now concerning Moses the man of God, his sons were named of the tribe of Levi.ദൈവപുരുഷനായ മോശെയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയോ ലേവിഗോത്രത്തിൽ എണ്ണിയിരുന്നു.

The sons of Moses were, Gershom, and Eliezer.മോശെയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഗേർശോം, എലീയേസെർ.

Of the sons of Gershom, Shebuel was the chief.ഗെർശോമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ ശെബൂവേൽ തലവനായിരുന്നു.

And the sons of Eliezer were, Rehabiah the chief. And Eliezer had no other sons; but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.എലീയേസെരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: രെഹബ്യാവു തലവൻ; എലീയേസെരിന്നു വേറെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; എങ്കിലും രെഹബ്യാവിന്നു വളരെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

Of the sons of Izhar; Shelomith the chief.യിസ്ഹാരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ ശെലോമീത്ത് തലവൻ.

Of the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.ഹെബ്രോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ യെരീയാവു തലവനും അമർയ്യാവു രണ്ടാമനും യഹസീയേൽ മൂന്നാമനും, യെക്കമെയാം നാലാമനും ആയിരുന്നു.

Of the sons of Uzziel; Micah the first and Jesiah the second.ഉസ്സീയേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ മീഖാ തലവനും യിശ്ശീയാവു രണ്ടാമനും ആയിരുന്നു.

The sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi. The sons of Mahli; Eleazar, and Kish.മെരാരിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ മഹ്ളി, മൂശി. മഹ്ളിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: എലെയാസാർ, കീശ്.

And Eleazar died, and had no sons, but daughters: and their brethren the sons of Kish took them.എലെയാസാർ മരിച്ചു; അവന്നു പുത്രിമാരല്ലാതെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; കീശിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാർ അവരെ വിവാഹംചെയ്തു.

The sons of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jeremoth, three.മൂശിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: മഹ്ളി, ഏദെർ, യെരേമോത്ത് ഇങ്ങനെ മൂന്നു പേർ.

These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the LORD, from the age of twenty years and upward.ഇവർ കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി ആളെണ്ണം പേരുപേരായി എണ്ണപ്പെട്ടപ്രകാരം തങ്ങളുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങൾക്കു തലവന്മാരായ ലേവിപുത്രന്മാർ; അവർ ഇരുപതു വയസ്സുമുതൽ മേലോട്ടു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷയിൽ വേല ചെയ്തുവന്നു.

For David said, The LORD God of Israel has given rest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever:യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു സ്വസ്ഥത കൊടുത്തു യെരൂശലേമിൽ എന്നേക്കും വസിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

And also unto the Levites; they shall no more carry the tabernacle, nor any vessels of it for the service thereof.ആകയാൽ ലേവ്യർക്കു ഇനി തിരുനിവാസവും അതിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കുള്ള ഉപകരണങ്ങൾ ഒന്നും ചുമപ്പാൻ ആവശ്യമില്ല എന്നു ദാവീദ് പറഞ്ഞു.

For by the last words of David the Levites were numbered from twenty years old and above:ദാവീദിന്റെ അന്ത്യകല്പനകളാൽ ലേവ്യരെ ഇരുപതു വയസ്സുമുതൽ മേലോട്ടു എണ്ണിയിരുന്നു.

Because their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the LORD, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God;അവരുടെ മുറയോ, യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കായി പ്രാകാരങ്ങളിലും അറകളിലും സകലവിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളെയും ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നതിലും ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ വേലെക്കു അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ സഹായിക്കുന്നതും

Both for the showbread, and for the fine flour for food offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for that which is baked in the pan, and for that which is fried, and for all manner of measure and size;കാഴ്ചയപ്പവും പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത ദോശകളായും ചട്ടിയിൽ ചുടുന്നതായും കുതിർക്കുന്നതായും അർപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഭോജനയാഗത്തിന്നുള്ള നേരിയമാവും സകലവിധ പരിമാണവും അളവും നോക്കുന്നതും

And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even:രാവിലെയും വൈകുന്നേരവും യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തി സ്തുതിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരുങ്ങിനില്ക്കുന്നതും

And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD:യഹോവെക്കു ശബ്ബത്തുകളിലും അമാവാസ്യകളിലും ഉത്സവങ്ങളിലും യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിരന്തരം അവയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള നിയമത്തിന്നനുസരണയായ സംഖ്യപ്രകാരം ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളെ അർപ്പിക്കുന്നതും

And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the holy place, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of the LORD.സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ കാര്യവും വിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ കാര്യവും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ശുശ്രൂഷയിൽ അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ കാര്യവും വിചാരിക്കുന്നതും തന്നെ.

1 Chronicles 24

Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ കൂറുകളോ: അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: നാദാബ്, അബീഹൂ, എലെയാസാർ, ഈഥാമാർ.

But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.നാദാബും അബീഹൂവും അവരുടെ അപ്പന്നു മുമ്പെ മരിച്ചുപോയി; അവർക്കു പുത്രന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതുമില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു എലെയാസാരും ഈഥാമാരും പൌരോഹിത്യം നടത്തി.

And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their offices in their service.ദാവീദ് എലെയാസാരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ സാദോക്, ഈഥാമാരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ അഹീമേലെക്ക്, എന്നിവരുമായി അവരെ അവരുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ മുറപ്രകാരം വിഭാഗിച്ചു.

And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and thus were they divided. Among the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen chief men of the house of their fathers, and eight among the sons of Ithamar according to the house of their fathers.ഈഥാമാരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിലുള്ളതിനെക്കാൾ എലെയാസാരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ അധികം തലവന്മാരെ കണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടു എലെയാസാരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ പതിനാറു പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരും ഈഥാമാരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ എട്ടു പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരുമായി വിഭാഗിച്ചു.

Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors of the house of God, were of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.എലെയാസാരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിലും ഈഥാമാരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിലും വിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ഉള്ളതുകൊണ്ടു അവരെ തരഭേദം കൂടാതെ ചീട്ടിട്ടു വിഭാഗിച്ചു.

And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.ലേവ്യരിൽ നെഥനയേലിന്റെ മകനായ ശെമയ്യാശാസ്ത്രി രാജാവിന്നും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർക്കും പുരോഹിതനായ സാദോക്കിന്നും അബ്യാഥാരിന്റെ മകനായ അഹീമേലെക്കിന്നും പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെയും ലേവ്യരുടെയും പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാർക്കും മുമ്പാകെ ഒരു പിതൃഭവനം എലെയാസാരിന്നും മറ്റൊന്നു ഈഥാമാരിന്നുമായി ചീട്ടുവന്നതു എഴുതിവെച്ചു.

Now the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,ഒന്നാമത്തെ ചീട്ട് യെഹോയാരീബിന്നും രണ്ടാമത്തേതു യെദായാവിന്നും

The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,മൂന്നാമത്തേതു ഹാരീമിന്നും നാലാമത്തേതു ശെയോരീമിന്നും

The fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,അഞ്ചാമത്തേതു മൽക്കീയാവിന്നും ആറാമത്തേതു മീയാമിന്നും

The seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,ഏഴാമത്തേതു ഹാക്കോസിന്നും എട്ടാമത്തേതു അബീയാവിന്നും

The ninth to Jeshuah, the tenth to Shecaniah,ഒമ്പതാമത്തേതു യേശൂവെക്കും പത്താമത്തേതു ശെഖന്യാവിന്നും

The eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,പതിനൊന്നാമത്തേതു എല്യാശീബിന്നും പന്ത്രണ്ടാമത്തേതു യാക്കീമിന്നും

The thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,പതിമ്മൂന്നാമത്തേതു ഹുപ്പെക്കും പതിന്നാലാമത്തേതു യേശെബെയാമിന്നും

The fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,പതിനഞ്ചാമത്തേതു ബിൽഗെക്കും പതിനാറാമത്തേതു ഇമ്മേരിന്നും

The seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Aphses,പതിനേഴാമത്തേതു ഹേസീരിന്നും പതിനെട്ടാമത്തേതു ഹപ്പിസ്സേസിന്നും

The nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezekel,പത്തൊമ്പതാമത്തേതു പെതഹ്യാവിന്നും ഇരുപതാമത്തേതു യെഹെസ്കേലിന്നും

The one and twentieth to Jachin, the two and twentieth to Gamul,ഇരുപത്തൊന്നാമത്തേതു യാഖീന്നും ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ടാമത്തേതു ഗാമൂലിന്നും

The three and twentieth to Delaiah, the four and twentieth to Maaziah.ഇരുപത്തിമൂന്നാമത്തേതു ദെലായാവിന്നും ഇരുപത്തിനാലാമത്തേതു മയസ്യാവിന്നും വന്നു.

These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of the LORD, according to their manner, under Aaron their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him.യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവരുടെ പിതാവായ അഹരോനോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവൻ അവർക്കു കൊടുത്ത നിയമപ്രകാരം അവരുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കായിട്ടു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു അവർ വരേണ്ടുന്ന ക്രമം ഇതു ആയിരുന്നു.

And the rest of the sons of Levi were these: Of the sons of Amram; Shubael: of the sons of Shubael; Jehdeiah.ശേഷം ലേവിപുത്രന്മാരോ: അമ്രാമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ ശൂബായേൽ; ശൂബായേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ യെഹ്ദെയാവു.

Concerning Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.രെഹബ്യാവോ: രെഹബ്യാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ തലവൻ യിശ്യാവു.

Of the Izharites; Shelomoth: of the sons of Shelomoth; Jahath.യിസ്ഹാർയ്യരിൽ ശെലോമോത്ത്; ശലോമോത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ യഹത്ത്.

And the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.ഹെബ്രോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: യെരിയാവു തലവൻ; അമർയ്യാവു രണ്ടാമൻ; യഹസീയേൽ മൂന്നാമൻ; യെക്കമെയാം നാലാമൻ.

Of the sons of Uzziel; Michah: of the sons of Michah; Shamir.ഉസ്സീയേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: മീഖ; മീഖയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ:

The brother of Michah was Isshiah: of the sons of Isshiah; Zechariah.ശാമീർ, മീഖയുടെ സഹോദരൻ യിശ്ശ്യാവു: യിശ്ശ്യാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ സെഖർയ്യാവു.

The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi: the sons of Jaaziah; Beno.മെരാരിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: മഹ്ളി, മൂശി, യയസ്യാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ബെനോ.

²⁷

The sons of Merari by Jaaziah; Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.മെരാരിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: യയസ്യാവിൽനിന്നുത്ഭവിച്ച ബെനോ, ശോഹം, സക്കൂർ, ഇബ്രി.

Of Mahli came Eleazar, who had no sons.മഹ്ളിയുടെ മകൻ എലെയാസാർ; അവന്നു പുത്രന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായില്ല.

Concerning Kish: the son of Kish was Jerahmeel.കീശോ: കീശിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ യെരഹ്മെയേൽ.

The sons also of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after the house of their fathers.മൂശിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: മഹ്ളി, ഏദെർ, യെരീമോത്ത്; ഇവർ പിതൃഭവനം പിതൃഭവനമായി ലേവിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ.

These likewise cast lots opposite to their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers opposite to their younger brethren.അവരും അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവിന്നും സാദോക്കിന്നും അഹീമേലെക്കിന്നും പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെയും ലേവ്യരുടെയും പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാർക്കും മുമ്പാകെ അതതു പിതൃഭവനത്തിൽ ഓരോ തലവൻ താന്താന്റെ ഇളയസഹോദരനെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ ചീട്ടിട്ടു.

Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:ദാവീദും സേനാധിപതിമാരും കിന്നരം, വീണ, കൈത്താളം എന്നിവകൊണ്ടു പ്രവചിക്കുന്നവരായ ആസാഫിന്റെയും ഹേമാന്റെയും യെദൂഥൂന്റെയും പുത്രന്മാരെ ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കായി വേർതിരിച്ചു; ഈ ശുശ്രൂഷയിൽ വേല ചെയ്തവരുടെ സംഖ്യയാവിതു:

Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph, which prophesied according to the order of the king.ആസാഫിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോ: രാജാവിന്റെ കല്പനയാൽ പ്രവചിച്ച ആസാഫിന്റെ കീഴിൽ ആസാഫിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ സക്കൂർ, യോസേഫ്, നെഥന്യാവു, അശരേലാ.

Of Heman: the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamtiezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth:ഹേമാന്യരോ: ബുക്കീയാവു; മത്ഥന്യാവു, ഉസ്സീയേൽ, ശെബൂവേൽ, യെരീമോത്ത്, ഹനന്യാവു, ഹനാനി, എലീയാഥാ, ഗിദ്ദൽതി, രോമംതി-ഏസെർ, യൊശ്ബെക്കാശാ, മല്ലോഥി, ഹോഥീർ, മഹസീയോത്ത് എന്നിവർ ഹേമാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ.

All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.ഇവർ എല്ലാവരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളിൽ രാജാവിന്റെ ദർശകനായ ഹേമാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ. അവന്റെ കൊമ്പുയർത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവം ഹേമാന്നു പതിന്നാലു പുത്രന്മാരെയും മൂന്നു പുത്രിമാരെയും കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.

So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that were cunning, was two hundred fourscore and eight.യഹോവെക്കു സംഗീതം ചെയ്‍വാൻ അഭ്യാസം പ്രാപിച്ച നിപുണന്മാരായവരുടെ സകലസഹോദരന്മാരുമായി അവരുടെ സംഖ്യ ഇരുനൂറ്റെണ്പത്തെട്ടു.

And they cast lots, ward against ward, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.താന്താങ്ങളുടെ ഉദ്യോഗക്രമം നിശ്ചയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവർ ചെറിയവനും വലിയവനും ഗുരുവും ശിഷ്യനും ഒരുപോലെ ചീട്ടിട്ടു.

Concerning the divisions of the porters: Of the Korhites was Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.വാതിൽ കാവൽക്കാരുടെ കൂറുകളോ: കോരഹ്യർ: ആസാഫിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ കോരെയുടെ മകനായ മെശേലെമ്യാവു.

Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons; Simri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him the chief;)മെരാരിപുത്രന്മാരിൽ ഹോസെക്കു പുത്രന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ശിമ്രി തലവൻ; ഇവൻ ആദ്യജാതനല്ലെങ്കിലും അവന്റെ അപ്പൻ അവനെ തലവനാക്കി;

And the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.കിഴക്കെ വാതിലിന്റെ ചീട്ടു ശേലെമ്യാവിന്നു വന്നു; പിന്നെ അവർ അവന്റെ മകനായി വിവേകമുള്ള ആലോചനക്കാരനായ സെഖർയ്യാവിന്നു വേണ്ടി ചീട്ടിട്ടു; അവന്റെ ചീട്ടു വടക്കെ വാതിലിന്നു വന്നു.

To Shuppim and Hosah the lot came forth westward, with the gate Shallecheth, by the causeway of the going up, ward against ward.കയറ്റമുള്ള പെരുവഴിക്കൽ ശല്ലേഖെത്ത് പടിവാതിലിന്നരികെ പടിഞ്ഞാറെ വാതിലിന്റേതു ശുപ്പീമിന്നും ഹോസെക്കും വന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ കാവലിന്നരികെ കാവലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and toward Asuppim two and two.കിഴക്കെ വാതിൽക്കൽ ആറു ലേവ്യരും വടക്കെ വാതിൽക്കൽ നാളൊന്നിന്നു നാലുപേരും തെക്കെ വാതിൽക്കൽ നാളൊന്നിന്നു നാലുപേരും പാണ്ടിശാലെക്കൽ ഈരണ്ടുപേരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

At Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar.പർബാരിന്നു പടിഞ്ഞാറു പെരുവഴിയിൽ നാലുപേരും പർബാരിൽ തന്നേ രണ്ടുപേരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

These are the divisions of the porters among the sons of Kore, and among the sons of Merari.കോരഹ്യരിലും മെരാർയ്യരിലും ഉള്ള വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാരുടെ കൂറുകൾ ഇവ തന്നേ.

And of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of the house of God, and over the treasures of the dedicated things.അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ ലേവ്യർ ദൈവലായത്തിലെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിന്നും വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളുടെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിന്നും മേൽവിചാരകരായിരുന്നു.

As concerning the sons of Laadan; the sons of the Gershonite Laadan, chief fathers, even of Laadan the Gershonite, were Jehieli.ലയെദാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ലയെദാന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിലുള്ള ഗേർശോന്യരുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഗേർശോന്യനായ ലയെദാന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാർ യെഹീയേല്യർ ആയിരുന്നു.

Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain the house of the LORD.യുദ്ധത്തിൽ കിട്ടിയ കൊള്ളയിൽ നിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം കേടുപോക്കുവാൻ അവർ അവയെ നിവേദിച്ചിരുന്നു.

And all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; and whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.ദർശകനായ ശമൂവേലും കീശിന്റെ മകൻ ശൌലും നേരിന്റെ മകൻ അബ്നേരും സെരൂയയുടെ മകൻ യോവാബും നിവേദിച്ച സകലനിവേദിതവസ്തുക്കളും ശെലോമീത്തിന്റെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെയും വിചാരണയിൽ വന്നു.

Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.യിസ്ഹാർയ്യരിൽ കെനന്യാവും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുറമെയുള്ള പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു യിസ്രായേലിൽ പ്രമാണികളും ന്യായാധിപന്മാരും ആയിരുന്നു.

And of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, a thousand and seven hundred, were officers among them of Israel on this side Jordan westward in all the business of the LORD, and in the service of the king.ഹെബ്രോന്യരിൽ ഹശബ്യാവും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുമായി ആയിരത്തെഴുനൂറു പ്രാപ്തന്മാർ യോർദ്ദാന്നിക്കരെ പടിഞ്ഞാറു യഹോവയുടെ സകലകാര്യത്തിന്നും രാജാവിന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കും യിസ്രായേലിൽ മേൽവിചാരകരായിരുന്നു.

Among the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even among the Hebronites, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.ഹെബ്രോന്യരിൽ കുലംകുലമായും കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായുമുള്ള ഹെബ്രോന്യർക്കു യെരീയാവു തലവനായിരുന്നു; ദാവീദിന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ നാല്പതാം ആണ്ടിൽ അവരുടെ വസ്തുത അനേഷിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഗിലെയാദിലെ യാസേരിൽ പ്രാപ്തന്മാരെ കണ്ടു.
