In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.അവന്റെ കാലത്തു ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ് നേസർ പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നു; യെഹോയാക്കീം മൂന്നു സംവത്സരം അവന്നു ആശ്രിതനായി ഇരുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം അവൻ തിരിഞ്ഞു അവനോടു മത്സരിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ കൽദയരുടെ പടക്കൂട്ടങ്ങളെയും അരാമ്യർ, മോവാബ്യർ, അമ്മോന്യർ എന്നിവരുടെ പടക്കൂട്ടങ്ങളെയും അവന്റെ നേരെ അയച്ചു;

And the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke by his servants the prophets.പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ തന്റെ ദാസന്മാർമുഖാന്തരം യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്ന വചനപ്രകാരം അവൻ അവരെ യെഹൂദയെ നശിപ്പിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം അതിന്റെ നേരെ അയച്ചു.

Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;മനശ്ശെ ചെയ്ത സകലപാപങ്ങളും നിമിത്തം യെഹൂദയെ തന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളവാൻ ഇതു യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം തന്നേ അവർക്കു ഭവിച്ചു.

And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.അവൻ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം ചൊരിയിച്ചു യെരൂശലേമിനെ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തംകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചതും ക്ഷമിപ്പാൻ യഹോവെക്കു മനസ്സായില്ല.

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?യെഹോയാക്കീമിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവൻ ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his position.യെഹോയാക്കീം തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; അവന്റെ മകനായ യെഹോയാഖീൻ അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.

And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt unto the river Euphrates all that pertained to the king of Egypt.മിസ്രയീംരാജാവിന്നു മിസ്രയീംതോടുമുതൽ ഫ്രാത്ത് നദിവരെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതൊക്കെയും ബാബേൽരാജാവു പിടിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു മിസ്രയീംരാജാവു പിന്നെ തന്റെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നില്ല.

Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. And his mother's name was Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.യെഹോയാഖീൻ വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്നു പതിനെട്ടു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ മൂന്നുമാസം വാണു. അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു നെഹുഷ്ഠാ എന്നു പേർ; അവൾ യെരൂശലേമ്യനായ എൽനാഥാന്റെ മകൾ ആയിരുന്നു.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done.അവൻ തന്റെ അപ്പൻ ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു.

At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.ആ കാലത്തു ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ് നേസരിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ നേരെ വന്നു നഗരത്തെ നിരോധിച്ചു.

And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants did besiege it.ഇങ്ങനെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ നിരോധിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ബാബേൽ രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ് നേസരും നഗരത്തിന്റെ നേരെ വന്നു.

And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാഖീനും അവന്റെ അമ്മയും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ഷണ്ഡന്മാരും ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്കു പുറത്തു ചെന്നു; ബാബേൽരാജാവു തന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ എട്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ അവനെ പിടിച്ചു.

And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ സകലനിക്ഷേപങ്ങളും രാജധാനിയിലെ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങളും അവിടെനിന്നു എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടു പോയി; യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കിവെച്ചിരുന്ന പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ള ഉപകരണങ്ങളൊക്കെയും യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെ അവൻ ഖണ്ഡിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.എല്ലാ യെരൂശലേമ്യരെയും സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും സകല പരാക്രമശാലികളും ആയി പതിനായിരം പേരെയും എല്ലാ ആശാരിമാരെയും കൊല്ലന്മാരെയും അവൻ ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോയി; ദേശത്തു എളിയജനം മാത്രമല്ലാതെ ആരും ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല.

And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.യെഹോയാഖീനെ അവൻ ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; രാജമാതാവിനെയും രാജഭാര്യമാരെയും അവന്റെ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരെയും ദേശത്തിലെ പ്രധാനികളെയും അവൻ ബദ്ധരാക്കി യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that were strong and able for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.സകല ബലവാന്മാരുമായ ഏഴായിരംപേരെയും ആശാരിമാരും കൊല്ലന്മാരുമായ ആയിരം പേരെയും ഇങ്ങനെ യുദ്ധപ്രാപ്തന്മാരായ സകല വീരന്മാരെയും ബാബേൽരാജാവു ബദ്ധരാക്കി ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father's brother king in his position, and changed his name to Zedekiah.അവന്നു പകരം ബാബേൽരാജാവു അവന്റെ ചിറ്റപ്പനായ മത്ഥന്യാവെ രാജാവാക്കി; അവന്നു സിദെക്കീയാവു എന്നു പേർ മാറ്റിയിട്ടു.

Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.സിദെക്കീയാവു വാഴ്ചതുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന്നു ഇരുപത്തൊന്നു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ പതിനൊന്നു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു; അവന്റെ അമ്മെക്കു ഹമൂതൽ എന്നു പേർ; അവൾ ലിബ്നക്കാരനായ യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ മകൾ ആയിരുന്നു.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.യെഹോയാക്കീം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അവൻ യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തു.

For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.യഹോവയുടെ കോപം ഹേതുവായി യെരൂശലേമിന്നും യെഹൂദെക്കും അങ്ങനെ ഭവിച്ചു; അവൻ ഒടുവിൽ അവരെ തന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽനിന്നു തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു; എന്നാൽ സിദെക്കീയാവും ബാബേൽരാജാവിനോടു മത്സരിച്ചു.

2 Kings 25

And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.അവന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ ഒമ്പതാം ആണ്ടിൽ പത്താം മാസം പത്താം തിയ്യതി ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ് നേസർ തന്റെ സർവ്വസൈന്യവുമായി യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ നേരെ വന്നു പാളയം ഇറങ്ങി; അതിന്നെതിരെ ചുറ്റും വാടകോരി.

And the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.സിദെക്കീയാ രാജാവിന്റെ പതിനൊന്നാം ആണ്ടുവരെ നഗരം നിരോധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

And on the ninth day of the fourth month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.നാലാം മാസം ഒമ്പതാം തിയ്യതി നഗരത്തിൽ ക്ഷാമം കലശലായി ദേശത്തെ ജനത്തിന്നു ആഹാരം ഇല്ലാതെപോയി.

And the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the king's garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city round about:) and the king went the way toward the plain.അപ്പോൾ നഗരമതിൽ ഒരിടം പൊളിച്ചു കൽദയർ നഗരം വളഞ്ഞിരിക്കെ പടയാളികൾ ഒക്കെയും രാത്രിസമയത്തു രാജാവിന്റെ തോട്ടത്തിന്നരികെ രണ്ടു മതിലുകൾക്കും മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ള പടിവാതിൽവഴിയായി ഓടിപ്പോയി; രാജാവും അരാബയിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിയായി പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി.

And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from him.എന്നാൽ കൽദയരുടെ സൈന്യം രാജാവിനെ പിന്തുടർന്നു യെരീഹോസമഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ചു അവനോടു എത്തി; അവന്റെ സൈന്യമൊക്കെയും അവനെ വിട്ടു ചിന്നിപ്പോയി.

So they took the king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah; and they gave judgment upon him.അവർ രാജാവിനെ പിടിച്ചു രിബ്ളയിൽ ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടു ചെന്നു; അവർ അവന്നു വിധി കല്പിച്ചു.

And they slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him with fetters of brass, and carried him to Babylon.അവർ സിദെക്കീയാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ അവൻ കാൺകെ കൊന്നു; സിദെക്കീയാവിന്റെ കണ്ണു പൊട്ടിച്ചിട്ടു രണ്ടു ചങ്ങലകൊണ്ടു അവനെ ബന്ധിച്ചു ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, which is the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem:അഞ്ചാം മാസം ഏഴാം തിയ്യതി, നെബൂഖദ് നേസർ രാജാവെന്ന ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ പത്തൊമ്പതാം ആണ്ടിൽ തന്നേ, ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ ഭൃത്യനായി അകമ്പടി നായകനായ നെബൂസരദാൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽവന്നു.

And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man's house burnt he with fire.അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയവും രാജധാനിയും ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു; യെരൂശലേമിലെ എല്ലാവീടുകളും പ്രധാനഭവനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും അവൻ തീ വെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.

And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.അകമ്പടിനായകനോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന കൽദയസൈന്യമൊക്കെയും യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള മതിലുകളെ ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

Now the rest of the people that were left in the city, and the fugitives that fell away to the king of Babylon, with the remnant of the multitude, did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carry away.നഗരത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്ന ജനത്തെയും ബാബേൽരാജാവിനെ ശരണം പ്രാപിച്ചവരെയും പുരുഷാരത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ചവരെയും അകമ്പടിനായകനായ നെബൂസരദാൻ കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

But the captain of the guard left of the door of the poor of the land to be vinedressers and husbandmen.എന്നാൽ അകമ്പടിനായകൻ ദേശത്തെ എളിയവരിൽ ചിലരെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടക്കാരായിട്ടും കൃഷിക്കാരായിട്ടും വിട്ടേച്ചു പോയി.

And the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brazen sea that was in the house of the LORD, did the Chaldees break in pieces, and carried the brass of them to Babylon.യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ താമ്രസ്തംഭങ്ങളും പീഠങ്ങളും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ താമ്രംകൊണ്ടുള്ള കടലും കൽദയർ ഉടെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു അവയുടെ താമ്രം ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

And the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.കലങ്ങളും ചട്ടുകങ്ങളും കത്രികകളും തവികളും ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കുള്ള താമ്രോപകരണങ്ങളൊക്കെയും അവർ എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

And the fire-pans, and the bowls, and such things as were of gold, in gold, and of silver, in silver, the captain of the guard took away.തീച്ചട്ടികളും കലശങ്ങളും പൊന്നും വെള്ളിയുംകൊണ്ടുള്ളതൊക്കെയും അകമ്പടിനായകൻ കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

The two pillars, one sea, and the bases which Solomon had made for the house of the LORD; the brass of all these vessels was without weight.ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നുവേണ്ടി ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ രണ്ടു സ്തംഭം, ഒരു കടൽ, പീഠങ്ങൾ എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ള സകലഉപകരങ്ങളുടെയും താമ്രത്തിന്നു തൂക്കമില്ലാതെയിരുന്നു.

The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the capital upon it was brass: and the height of the capital three cubits; and the interwoven work, and pomegranates upon the capital round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with interwoven work.ഒരു സ്തംഭത്തിന്റെ ഉയരം പതിനെട്ടു മുഴം; അതിന്മേലുള്ള പോതിക താമ്രംകൊണ്ടു ആയിരുന്നു; പോതികയുടെ ഉയരം മൂന്നു മുഴം; പോതികയുടെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള വലപ്പണിയും മാതളപ്പഴവും ആസകലം താമ്രംകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഇതുപോലെ മറ്റെ സ്തംഭത്തിന്നും വലപ്പണിയും മറ്റും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:അകമ്പടിനായകൻ മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ സെരായാവെയും രണ്ടാം പുരോഹിതനായ സെഫന്യാവെയും മൂന്നു ഉമ്മരപ്പടിക്കാവൽക്കാരെയും പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടു പോയി.

And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king's presence, which were found in the city, and the principal scribe of the host, which mustered the people of the land, and threescore men of the people of the land that were found in the city:നഗരത്തിൽ നിന്നു അവൻ യോദ്ധാക്കളുടെ മേൽവിചാരകനായ ഒരു ഷണ്ഡനെയും നഗരത്തിൽവെച്ചു കണ്ടെത്തിയ രാജപരിചാരകന്മാരിൽ അഞ്ചുപേരെയും ദേശത്തെ ജനത്തെ പടെക്കു സ്വരൂപിക്കുന്ന സേനാപതിയുടെ രായസക്കാരനെയും നഗരത്തിൽ കണ്ട ദേശത്തെ ജനത്തിൽ അറുപതുപേരെയും പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

And Nebuzaradan captain of the guard took these, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah:ഇവരെ അകമ്പടിനായകനായ നെബൂസരദാൻ പിടിച്ചു രിബ്ളയിൽ ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു.

And the king of Babylon stroke them, and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.ബാബേൽരാജാവു ഹാമത്ത് ദേശത്തിലെ രിബ്ളയിൽവെച്ചു അവരെ വെട്ടിക്കൊന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ യെഹൂദാ സ്വദേശം വിട്ടുപോകേണ്ടിവന്നു.

And as for the people that remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, even over them he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler.ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ യെഹൂദാദേശത്തു ശേഷിപ്പിച്ചുവെച്ച ജനത്തിന്നു ശാഫാന്റെ മകനായ അഹീക്കാമിന്റെ മകനായ ഗെദല്യാവെ അധിപതിയാക്കി.

And when all the captains of the armies, they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah governor, there came to Gedaliah to Mizpah, even Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and Johanan the son of Careah, and Seraiah the son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, and Jaazaniah the son of a Maachathite, they and their men.ബാബേൽരാജാവു ഗെദല്യാവെ അധിപതിയാക്കി എന്നു നെഥന്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ യിശ്മായേൽ, കാരേഹിന്റെ മകൻ യോഹാനാൻ, നെതോഫാത്യനായ തൻഹൂമെത്തിന്റെ മകൻ സെരായ്യാവു, മാഖാത്യന്റെ മകൻ യാസന്യാവു എന്നിങ്ങനെ സകലസേനാപതികളും അവരുടെ ആളുകളും കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അവർ മിസ്പെയിൽ ഗെദല്യാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു.

And Gedaliah swore to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.ഗെദല്യാവു അവരോടും അവരുടെ ആളുകളോടും സത്യം ചെയ്തു അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ കൽദയരുടെ ദാസന്മാർനിമിത്തം ഭയപ്പെടരുതു; ദേശത്തു പാർത്തു ബാബേൽ രാജാവിനെ സേവിപ്പിൻ; അതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു നന്മയായിരിക്കും.

But it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and stroke Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that were with him at Mizpah.എന്നാൽ ഏഴാം മാസത്തിൽ രാജവംശക്കാരനായ എലീശയുടെ മകനായ നെഥന്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ യിശ്മായേൽ പത്തു ആളുമായി വന്നു ഗെദല്യാവെയും അവനോടുകൂടെ മിസ്പെയിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന യെഹൂദ്യരെയും കൽദയരെയും വെട്ടിക്കൊന്നു.

And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were afraid of the Chaldees.അപ്പോൾ ആബാലവൃദ്ധം ജനമൊക്കെയും സേനാപതിമാരും കൽദയരെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയാൽ എഴുന്നേറ്റു പുറപ്പെട്ടു മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു പോയി.

And the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children.നാദാബിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: സേലെദ്, അപ്പയീം; എന്നാൽ സേലെദ് മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചു.

And Shallum brings forth Jekamiah, and Jekamiah brings forth Elishama.ശല്ലൂം യെക്കമ്യാവെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; യെക്കമ്യാവു എലീശാമയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

The sons of Salma; Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.ശല്മയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ബേത്ത്ളേഹെം, നെതോഫാത്യർ, അത്രോത്ത്-ബേത്ത്-യോവാബ്, മാനഹത്യരിൽ പാതി സൊർയ്യർ.

And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites.
