Deuteronomy 24

When a man has taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he has found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.ഒരു പുരുഷൻ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു വിവാഹം ചെയ്തശേഷം അവളിൽ ദൂഷ്യമായ വല്ലതും കണ്ടിട്ടു അവന്നു അവളോടു അനിഷ്ടം തോന്നിയാൽ ഒരു ഉപേക്ഷണപത്രം എഴുതി കയ്യിൽ കൊടുത്തു അവളെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു അയക്കേണം.

And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.അവന്റെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം അവൾ പോയി മറ്റൊരു പുരുഷന്നു ഭാര്യയായി ഇരിക്കാം.

And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and gives it in her hand, and sends her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;എന്നാൽ രണ്ടാമത്തെ ഭർത്താവു അവളെ വെറുത്തു ഒരു ഉപേക്ഷണപത്രം എഴുതി കയ്യിൽ കൊടുത്തു അവളെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു അയക്കയോ അവളെ ഭാര്യയായിട്ടു എടുത്ത രണ്ടാമത്തെ ഭർത്താവു മരിച്ചുപോകയോ ചെയ്താൽ

Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and you shall not cause the land to sin, which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance.അവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച മുമ്പിലത്തെ ഭർത്താവിന്നു അവൾ അശുദ്ധയായശേഷം അവളെ പിന്നെയും ഭാര്യയായി പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൂടാ; അതു യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ അറെപ്പാകുന്നു; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശം നീ പാപംകൊണ്ടു മലിനമാക്കരുതു.

When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he has taken.ഒരു പുരുഷൻ പുതുതായി ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പോകരുതു; അവന്റെമേൽ യാതൊരു ഭാരവും വെക്കരുതു; അവൻ ഒരു സംവത്സരത്തേക്കു വീട്ടിൽ സ്വതന്ത്രനായിരുന്നു താൻ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ച ഭാര്യയെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കേണം.

No man shall take the nether or the upper millstone to pledge: for he takes a man's life to pledge.തിരികല്ലാകട്ടെ അതിന്റെ മേൽക്കല്ലാകട്ടെ ആരും പണയം വാങ്ങരുതു; അതു ജീവനെ പണയം വാങ്ങുകയല്ലോ.

If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and makes merchandise of him, or sells him; then that thief shall die; and you shall put evil away from among you.ആരെങ്കിലും തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിൽ ഒരുത്തനെ മോഷ്ടിച്ചു അവനോടു കാഠിന്യം പ്രവർത്തിക്കയോ അവനെ വിലെക്കു വിൽക്കയോ ചെയ്യുന്നതു കണ്ടാൽ മോഷ്ടാവു മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം. ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ദോഷം നീക്കിക്കളയേണം.

Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so all of you shall observe to do.കുഷ്ഠരോഗത്തിന്റെ ബാധാകാര്യത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരിപ്പാനും ലേവ്യരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഉപദേശിച്ചു തരുന്നതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്‍വാനും ജാഗ്രതയായിരിക്കേണം; ഞാൻ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നേ നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യേണം.

Remember what the LORD your God did unto Miriam by the way, after that all of you were come forth out of Egypt.നിങ്ങൾ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വഴിയിൽ വെച്ചു മിർയ്യാമിനോടു ചെയ്തതു ഓർത്തുകൊൾക.

When you do lend your brother any thing, you shall not go into his house to fetch his pledge.കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു എന്തെങ്കിലും വായിപ്പകൊടുക്കുമ്പോൾ അവന്റെ പണയം വാങ്ങുവാൻ വീട്ടിന്നകത്തു കടക്കരുതു.

You shall stand abroad, and the man to whom you do lend shall bring out the pledge abroad unto you.നീ പുറത്തു നിൽക്കേണം; വായിപ്പവാങ്ങിയവൻ പണയം നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.

And if the man be poor, you shall not sleep with his pledge:അവൻ ദരിദ്രനാകുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ നീ അവന്റെ പണയം കൈവശം വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ഉറങ്ങരുതു.

In any case you shall deliver him the pledge again when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his own raiment, and bless you: and it shall be righteousness unto you before the LORD your God.അവൻ തന്റെ വസ്ത്രം പുതെച്ചു ഉറങ്ങി നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സൂര്യൻ അസ്തമിക്കുമ്പോൾ പണയം നീ അവന്നു മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കേണം; അതു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നിനക്കു നീതിയായിരിക്കും.

You shall not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of your brethren, or of your strangers that are in your land within your gates:നിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരിലോ നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലുള്ള പരദേശികളിലോ ദരിദ്രനും അഗതിയുമായ കൂലിക്കാരനെ നീ പീഡിപ്പിക്കരുതു.

At his day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and sets his heart upon it: lest he cry against you unto the LORD, and it be sin unto you.അവന്റെ കൂലി അന്നേക്കന്നു കൊടുക്കേണം; സൂര്യൻ അതിന്മേൽ അസ്തമിക്കരുതു; അവൻ ദരിദ്രനും അതിന്നായി ആശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നവനുമല്ലോ. അവൻ നിനക്കു വിരോധമായി യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിപ്പാനും അതു നിനക്കു പാപമായിത്തീരുവാനും ഇടവരുത്തരുതു.

The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.മക്കൾക്കു പകരം അപ്പന്മാരും അപ്പന്മാർക്കു പകരം മക്കളും മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കരുതു; താന്താന്റെ പാപത്തിന്നു താന്താൻ മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കേണം.

You shall not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow's raiment to pledge:പരദേശിയുടെയും അനാഥന്റെയും ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളയരുതു; വിധവയുടെ വസ്ത്രം പണയം വാങ്ങുകയുമരുതു.

But you shall remember that you were a bondman in Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you thence: therefore I command you to do this thing.നീ മിസ്രയീമിൽ അടിമയായിരുന്നു എന്നും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നെ അവിടെനിന്നു വീണ്ടെടുത്തു എന്നും ഓർക്കേണം; അതുകൊണ്ടാകുന്നു ഇക്കാര്യം ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നതു.

When you cut down yours harvest in your field, and have forgot a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of yours hands.നിന്റെ വയലിൽ വിളവു കൊയ്തിട്ടു ഒരു കറ്റ വയലിൽ മറന്നുപോന്നാൽ അതിനെ എടുപ്പാൻ മടങ്ങിപ്പോകരുതു; നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്റെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തിയിലും നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതു പരദേശിക്കും അനാഥന്നും വിധവെക്കും ഇരിക്കട്ടെ.

When you beat yours olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.ഒലിവുവൃക്ഷത്തിന്റെ ഫലം തല്ലുമ്പോൾ കൊമ്പു തപ്പിപ്പറിക്കരുതു; അതു പരദേശിക്കും അനാഥന്നും വിധവെക്കും ഇരിക്കട്ടെ.

When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലെ പഴം അറുത്തെടുക്കുമ്പോൾ കാലാ പെറുക്കരുതു; അതു പരദേശിക്കും അനാഥന്നും വിധവെക്കും ഇരിക്കട്ടെ;

And you shall remember that you were a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command you to do this thing.നീ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു അടിമയായിരുന്നു എന്നു ഓർക്കേണം; അതുകൊണ്ടാകുന്നു ഞാൻ ഇക്കാര്യം നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നതു.

Deuteronomy 25

If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.മനുഷ്യർക്കു തമ്മിൽ വ്യവഹാരം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു അവർ ന്യായാസനത്തിങ്കൽ വരികയും അവരുടെ കാര്യം വിസ്തരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ നീതിമാനെ നീതീകരിക്കയും കുറ്റക്കാരനെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കയുംവേണം.

And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.കുറ്റക്കാരൻ അടിക്കു യോഗ്യനാകുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ന്യായാധിപൻ അവനെ നിലത്തു കിടത്തി അവന്റെ കുറ്റത്തിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം എണ്ണി അടിപ്പിക്കേണം.

Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then your brother should seem vile unto you.നാല്പതു അടി അടിപ്പിക്കാം; അതിൽ കവിയരുതു; കവിഞ്ഞു അടിപ്പിച്ചാൽ സഹോദരൻ നിന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു നിന്ദിതനായ്തീർന്നേക്കാം.

You shall not suppress the ox when he treads out the corn.കാള മെതിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതിന്നു മുഖക്കൊട്ട കെട്ടരുതു.

If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband's brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband's brother unto her.സഹോദരന്മാർ ഒന്നിച്ചു പാർക്കുമ്പോൾ അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ മകനില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോയാൽ മരിച്ചവന്റെ ഭാര്യ പുറത്തുള്ള ഒരുത്തന്നു ആകരുതു; ഭർത്താവിന്റെ സഹോദരൻ അവളുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവളെ ഭാര്യയായി പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവളോടു ദേവരധർമ്മം നിവർത്തിക്കേണം.

And it shall be, that the firstborn which she bears shall succeed in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not put out of Israel.മരിച്ചുപോയ സഹോദരന്റെ പേർ യിസ്രായേലിൽ മാഞ്ഞു പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൾ പ്രസവിക്കുന്ന ആദ്യജാതനെ അവന്റെ പേർക്കു കണക്കു കൂട്ടേണം.

And if the man like not to take his brother's wife, then let his brother's wife go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband's brother refuses to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he will not perform the duty of my husband's brother.സഹോദരന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ പരിഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ അവന്നു മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കിൽ അവൾ പട്ടണവാതിൽക്കൽ മൂപ്പന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: എന്റെ ദേവരന്നു തന്റെ സഹോദരന്റെ പേർ യിസ്രായേലിൽ നിലനിർത്തുവാൻ ഇഷ്ടമില്ല; എന്നോടു ദേവര ധർമ്മം നിവർത്തിപ്പാൻ അവന്നു മനസ്സില്ല എന്നു പറയേണം.

Then the elders of his city shall call him, and speak unto him: and if he stand to it, and say, I like not to take her;അപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാർ അവനെ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു അവനോടു സംസാരിക്കേണം; എന്നാൽ ഇവളെ പരിഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു മനസ്സില്ല എന്നു അവൻ ഖണ്ഡിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞാൽ

Then shall his brother's wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother's house.അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്റെ ഭാര്യ മൂപ്പന്മാർ കാൺകെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവന്റെ കാലിൽനിന്നു ചെരിപ്പു അഴിച്ചു അവന്റെ മുഖത്തു തുപ്പി: സഹോദരന്റെ വീടു പണിയാത്ത പുരുഷനോടു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുമെന്നു പ്രത്യുത്തരം പറയേണം.

And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him that has his shoe loosed.ചെരിപ്പഴിഞ്ഞവന്റെ കുടുംബം എന്നു യിസ്രായേലിൽ അവന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിന്നു പേർ പറയും.

When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draws near in order to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that strikes him, and puts forth her hand, and takes him by the secrets:പുരുഷന്മാർ തമ്മിൽ അടിപിടിക്കുടുമ്പോൾ ഒരുത്തന്റെ ഭാര്യ ഭർത്താവിനെ അടിക്കുന്നവന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടുത്തുചെന്നു കൈ നീട്ടി അവന്റെ ഗുപ്താംഗം പിടിച്ചാൽ

Then you shall cut off her hand, yours eye shall not pity her.അവളുടെ കൈ വെട്ടിക്കളയേണം; അവളോടു കനിവു തോന്നരുതു.

You shall not have in your bag divers weights, a great and a small.നിന്റെ സഞ്ചിയിൽ തൂക്കം ഏറിയതും കുറഞ്ഞതുമായ രണ്ടുതരം പടി ഉണ്ടാകരുതു.

You shall not have in yours house divers measures, a great and a small.നിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ മുറുക്കവും ഇളപ്പവുമായ രണ്ടുതരം പറയും ഉണ്ടാകരുതു.

¹⁵

But you shall have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shall you have: that your days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD your God gives you.നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നീ ദീർഘായുസ്സോടിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ പടി ഒത്തതും ന്യായമായതുമായിരിക്കേണം; അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ നിന്റെ പറയും ഒത്തതും ന്യായമായതുമായിരിക്കേണം.

For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the LORD your God.ഈ വകയിൽ അന്യായം ചെയ്യുന്നവനൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പു ആകുന്നു.

¹⁷

Remember what Amalek did unto you by the way, when all of you were come forth out of Egypt;നിങ്ങൾ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു വരുമ്പോൾ വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു അമാലേക്ക് നിന്നോടു ചെയ്തതു,

How he met you by the way, and stroke the hindmost of you, even all that were feeble behind you, when you were faint and weary; and he feared not God.അവൻ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടാതെ വഴിയിൽ നിന്റെ നേരെ വന്നു നീ ക്ഷീണിച്ചും തളർന്നും ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ നിന്റെ പിമ്പിൽ പിന്നണിയിലുള്ള ബലഹീനരെ ഒക്കെയും സംഹരിച്ച കാര്യം തന്നേ ഓർത്തുകൊൾക.

Therefore it shall be, when the LORD your God has given you rest from all yours enemies round about, in the land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance to possess it, that you shall blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; you shall not forget it.ആകയാൽ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി അടക്കുവാൻ തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു ചുറ്റുമള്ള നിന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നീക്കി നിനക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത തന്നിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ നീ അമാലേക്കിന്റെ ഓർമ്മയെ ആകാശത്തിൻ കീഴിൽനിന്നു മായിച്ചുകളയേണം; ഇതു മറന്നുപോകരുതു.

Deuteronomy 26

And it shall be, when you are come in unto the land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance, and possess it, and dwell therein;നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നീ ചെന്നു അതു കൈവശമാക്കി അവിടെ പാർക്കുമ്പോൾ

That you shall take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which you shall bring of your land that the LORD your God gives you, and shall put it in a basket, and shall go unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose to place his name there.നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിന്റെ നിലത്തിൽനിന്നു ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതായി നിലത്തിലെ എല്ലാവക കൃഷിയുടെയും ആദ്യഫലം കുറെശ്ശ എടുത്തു ഒരു കൊട്ടയിൽ വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ തന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിപ്പാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു പോകേണം.

And you shall go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD your God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD swore unto our fathers in order to give us.അന്നുള്ള പുരോഹിതന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നീ ചെന്നു അവനോടു: നമുക്കു തരുമെന്നു യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ത ദേശത്തു ഞാൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു ഞാൻ ഇന്നു ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു എന്നു പറയേണം.

And the priest shall take the basket out of yours hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD your God.പുരോഹിതൻ ആ കൊട്ട നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വാങ്ങി നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വെക്കേണം.

And you shall speak and say before the LORD your God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:പിന്നെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നീ പ്രസ്താവിക്കേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: എന്റെ പിതാവു ദേശാന്തരിയായോരു അരാമ്യനായിരുന്നു; ചുരുക്കംപേരോടു കൂടി അവൻ മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു പരദേശിയായി പാർത്തു; അവിടെ വലിപ്പവും ബലവും പെരുപ്പവുമുള്ള ജനമായിത്തീർന്നു.

And the Egyptians evil pleaded us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:എന്നാൽ മിസ്രയീമ്യർ ഞങ്ങളോടു തിന്മ ചെയ്തു ഞങ്ങളെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചു ഞങ്ങളെക്കൊണ്ടു കഠിനവേല ചെയ്യിച്ചു.

And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:അപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളുടെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടു ഞങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയും പ്രയാസവും ഞെരുക്കവും കണ്ടു.

And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:യഹോവ ബലമുള്ള കയ്യാലും നീട്ടിയ ഭുജത്താലും മഹാഭയങ്കരപ്രവൃത്തിയോടും അടയാളങ്ങളോടും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളോടുംകൂടെ ഞങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു

And he has brought us into this place, and has given us this land, even a land that flows with milk and honey.ഞങ്ങളെ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ഈ ദേശം ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

And now, behold, I have brought the first-fruits of the land, which you, O LORD, have given me. And you shall set it before the LORD your God, and worship before the LORD your God:ഇതാ, യഹോവേ, നീ എനിക്കു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള നിലത്തിലെ ആദ്യഫലം ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ കെണ്ടു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. പിന്നെ നീ അതു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വെച്ചു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നമസ്കരിക്കേണം.

And you shall rejoice in every good thing which the LORD your God has given unto you, and unto yours house, you, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കും നിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിന്നും തന്നിട്ടുള്ള എല്ലാനന്മയിലും നീയും ലേവ്യനും നിങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേയുള്ള പരദേശിയും സന്തോഷിക്കേണം.

When you have made an end of tithing all the tithes of yours increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and have given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within your gates, and be filled;ദശാംശം എടുക്കുന്ന കാലമായ മൂന്നാം സംവത്സരത്തിൽ നിന്റെ അനുഭവത്തിലൊക്കെയും ദശാംശം എടുത്തു ലേവ്യനും പരദേശിയും അനാഥനും വിധവയും നിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽവെച്ചു തൃപ്തിയാംവണ്ണം തിന്മാൻ കൊടുത്തു തീർന്നശേഷം

Then you shall say before the LORD your God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all your commandments which you have commanded me: I have not transgressed your commandments, neither have I forgotten them.നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നീ പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: നീ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്ന കല്പനപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ വിശുദ്ധമായതു എന്റെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ലേവ്യന്നും പരദേശിക്കും അനാഥന്നും വിധവെക്കും കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്റെ കല്പന ലംഘിക്കയോ മറന്നുകളകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.

I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that you have commanded me.എന്റെ ദുഃഖത്തിൽ ഞാൻ അതിൽ നിന്നു തിന്നിട്ടില്ല; അശുദ്ധനായിരുന്നപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അതിൽ ഒന്നും നീക്കിവെച്ചിട്ടില്ല; മരിച്ചവന്നു അതിൽനിന്നു ഒന്നും കൊടുത്തിട്ടുമില്ല; ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേട്ടു നീ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു പോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Look down from your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless your people Israel, and the land which you have given us, as you sware unto our fathers, a land that flows with milk and honey.നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധവാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു നോക്കി നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെയും നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യംചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തന്ന ദേശമായി പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തെയും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണമേ.

This day the LORD your God has commanded you to do these statutes and judgments: you shall therefore keep and do them with all yours heart, and with all your soul.ഈ ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും ആചരിപ്പാൻ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നു; നീ അവയെ പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കേണം.

You have stand as a witness to the LORD this day to be your God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:യഹോവ നിനക്കു ദൈവമായിരിക്കുമെന്നും നീ അവന്റെ വഴികളിൽ നടന്നു അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളും വിധികളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ വചനം അനുസരിക്കേണമെന്നും നീ ഇന്നു അരുളപ്പാടു കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

And the LORD has stand as a witness to you this day to be his exclusive people, as he has promised you, and that you should keep all his commandments;യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നീ അവന്നു സ്വന്തജനമായി അവന്റെ സകലകല്പനകളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കുമെന്നും

And to make you high above all nations which he has made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that you may be an holy people unto the LORD your God, as he has spoken.താൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ സകലജാതികൾക്കും മീതെ നിന്നെ പുകഴ്ചെക്കും കീർത്തിക്കും മാനത്തിന്നുമായി ഉന്നതമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു താൻ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു വിശുദ്ധജനമായിരിക്കുമെന്നും ഇന്നു നിന്റെ വാമൊഴി വാങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Deuteronomy 27

And Moses with the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, Keep all the commandments which I command you this day.മോശെ യിസ്രായേൽ മൂപ്പന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ജനത്തോടു കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന സകല കല്പനകളും പ്രമാണിപ്പിൻ.

And it shall be on the day when all of you shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD your God gives you, that you shall set you up great stones, and smear them with plaster:നിങ്ങൾ യോർദ്ദാൻ കടന്നു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശത്തു എത്തുന്ന ദിവസം നീ വലിയ കല്ലുകൾ നാട്ടി അവെക്കു കുമ്മായം തേക്കേണം:

And you shall write upon them all the words of this law, when you are passed over, that you may go in unto the land which the LORD your God gives you, a land that flows with milk and honey; as the LORD God of your fathers has promised you.നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുന്ന ദേശമായി പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തു ചെല്ലുവാൻ കടന്നശേഷം നീ ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെല്ലാം അവയിൽ എഴുതേണം.

Therefore it shall be when all of you be gone over Jordan, that all of you shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and you shall smear them with plaster.ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ യോർദ്ദാൻ കടന്നിട്ടു ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന ഈ കല്ലുകൾ ഏബാൽ പർവ്വത്തിൽ നാട്ടുകയും അവെക്കു കുമ്മായം തേക്കുകയും വേണം.

And there shall you build an altar unto the LORD your God, an altar of stones: you shall not lift up any iron tool upon them.അവിടെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിയേണം; അതിന്മേൽ ഇരിമ്പു തൊടുവിക്കരുതു.

You shall build the altar of the LORD your God of whole stones: and you shall offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD your God:ചെത്താത്ത കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠം പണിയേണം; അതിന്മേൽ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു ഹോമയാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിക്കേണം.

And you shall offer peace offerings, and shall eat there, and rejoice before the LORD your God.സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും അർപ്പിച്ചു അവിടെവെച്ചു തിന്നുകയും നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കയും വേണം;

And you shall write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.ആ കല്ലുകളിൽ ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും നല്ല തെളിവായി എഴുതേണം.

And Moses and the priests the Levites spoke unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day you are become the people of the LORD your God.മോശെയും ലേവ്യരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിനോടും യിസ്രായേലേ, മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു കേൾക്ക; ഇന്നു നീ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ജനമായി തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

You shall therefore obey the voice of the LORD your God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command you this day.ആകയാൽ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു അനുസരിച്ചു, ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിന്നോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കുന്ന അവന്റെ കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും ആചരിക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Moses charged the people the same day, saying,അന്നു മേശെ ജനത്തോടു കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

These shall stand upon mount Gerizim to bless the people, when all of you are come over Jordan; Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin:നിങ്ങൾ യോർദ്ദാൻ കടന്ന ശേഷം ജനത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ ഗെരിസീംപർവ്വതത്തിൽ നിൽക്കേണ്ടുന്നവർ: ശിമെയോൻ, ലേവി, യെഹൂദാ, യിസ്സാഖാർ, യോസേഫ്, ബേന്യാമീൻ.

And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.ശപിപ്പാൻ ഏബാൽ പർവ്വതത്തിൽ നിൽക്കേണ്ടന്നവരോ: രൂബേൻ, ഗാദ്, ആശേർ, സെബൂലൂൻ, ദാൻ, നഫ്താലി.

And the Levites shall speak, and say unto all the men of Israel with a loud voice,അപ്പോൾ ലേവ്യർ എല്ലായിസ്രായേല്യരോടും ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ചുപറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

Cursed be the man that makes any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and puts it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.ശില്പിയുടെ കൈപ്പണിയായി യഹോവെക്കു അറെപ്പായ വല്ല വിഗ്രഹത്തെയും കൊത്തിയോ വാർത്തോ ഉണ്ടാക്കി രഹസ്യത്തിൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നവൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ജനമെല്ലാം: ആമേൻ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയേണം.

Cursed be he that sets light by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.അപ്പനെയോ അമ്മയെയോ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നവൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ജനമെല്ലാം: ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയേണം.

Cursed be he that removes his neighbour's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ അതിർ നീക്കുന്നവൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ജനമെല്ലാം: ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയേണം.

Cursed be he that makes the blind to wander out of the way. And all the people shall say, Amen.കുരുടനെ വഴി തെറ്റിക്കുന്നവൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ജനമെല്ലാം: ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയേണം.

Cursed be he that perverts the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.പരദേശിയുടെയും അനാഥന്റെയും വിധവയുടെയും ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നവൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ജനമെല്ലാം: ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയേണം.

Cursed be he that lies with his father's wife; because he uncovers his father's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen.അപ്പന്റെ ഭാര്യയോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കുന്നവൻ അപ്പന്റെ വസ്ത്രം നീക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടു ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ജനമെല്ലാം: ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയേണം.

Cursed be he that lies with any manner of beast. And all the people shall say, Amen.വല്ല മൃഗത്തോടുംകൂടെ ശയിക്കുന്നവൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ജനമെല്ലാം: ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയേണം.

Cursed be he that lies with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen.അപ്പന്റെ മകളോ അമ്മയുടെ മകളോ ആയ സഹോദരിയോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കുന്നവൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ജനമെല്ലാം ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയേണം.

Cursed be he that lies with his mother in law. And all the people shall say, Amen.അമ്മാവിയമ്മയോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കുന്നവൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ജനമെല്ലാം: ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയേണം.

Cursed be he that strikes his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen.കൂട്ടുകാരനെ രഹസ്യമായി കൊല്ലുന്നവൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ജനമെല്ലാം: ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയേണം.

²⁵

Cursed be he that takes reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവനെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു പ്രതിഫലം വാങ്ങുന്നവൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ജനമെല്ലാം: ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയേണം.

Cursed be he that confirms not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.ഈ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങൾ പ്രമാണമാക്കി അനുസരിച്ചുനടക്കാത്തവൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ. ജനമെല്ലാം: ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയേണം.
