Go to now, all of you rich men, weep and wail for your miseries that shall come upon you.അല്ലയോ ധനവാന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ വരുന്ന ദുരിതങ്ങൾ നിമിത്തം കരഞ്ഞു മുറയിടുവിൻ.

Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.നിങ്ങളുടെ ധനം ദ്രവിച്ചും ഉടുപ്പു പുഴുവരിച്ചും പോയി.

Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. All of you have heaped treasure together for the last days.നിങ്ങളുടെ പൊന്നും വെള്ളിയും കറപിടിച്ചു; ആ കറ നിങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ സാക്ഷിയാകും; അതു തീപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ജഡത്തെ തിന്നുകളയും. അന്ത്യകാലത്തു നിങ്ങൾ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങളെ ശേഖരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, cries: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.നിങ്ങളുടെ നിലങ്ങളെ കൊയ്ത വേലക്കാരുടെ കൂലി നിങ്ങൾ പിടിച്ചുവല്ലോ; അതു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു. കൊയ്തവരുടെ മുറവിളി സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ കർത്താവിന്റെ ചെവിയിൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

All of you have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; all of you have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.നിങ്ങൾ ഭൂമിയിൽ ആഡംബരത്തോടെ സുഖിച്ചു പുളെച്ചു കുലദിവസത്തിൽ എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ പോഷിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

All of you have condemned and killed the just; and he does not resist you.നിങ്ങൾ നീതിമാനെ കുറ്റംവിധിച്ചു കൊന്നു; അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു മറുത്തുനില്ക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.എന്നാൽ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, കർത്താവിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതവരെ ദീർഘക്ഷമയോടിരിപ്പിൻ; കൃഷിക്കാരൻ ഭൂമിയുടെ വിലയേറിയ ഫലത്തിന്നു കാത്തുകൊണ്ടു മുന്മഴയും പിന്മഴയും അതിന്നു കിട്ടുവോളം ദീർഘക്ഷമയോടിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Be all of you also patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws nigh.നിങ്ങളും ദീർഘക്ഷമയോടിരിപ്പിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം സ്ഥിരമാക്കുവിൻ; കർത്താവിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷത സമീപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest all of you be condemned: behold, the judge stands before the door.സഹോദരന്മാരേ, വിധിക്കപ്പെടാതിരിപ്പാൻ ഒരുവന്റെ നേരെ ഒരുവൻ ഞരങ്ങിപ്പോകരുതു; ഇതാ, ന്യായാധിപതി വാതിൽക്കൽ നില്ക്കുന്നു.

Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.സഹോദരന്മാരേ, കർത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സംസാരിച്ച പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കഷ്ടാനുഭവത്തിന്നും ദീർഘക്ഷമെക്കും ദൃഷ്ടാന്തമായി വിചാരിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.

Behold, we count them happy which endure. All of you have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.സഹിഷ്ണത കാണിച്ചവരെ നാം ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ എന്നു പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നു. യോബിന്റെ സഹിഷ്ണത നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടും കർത്താവു വരുത്തിയ അവസാനം കണ്ടുമിരിക്കുന്നു; കർത്താവു മഹാ കരുണയും മനസ്സലിവുമുള്ളവനല്ലോ.

But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest all of you fall into condemnation.വിശേഷാൽ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തെയോ ഭൂമിയെയോ മറ്റു യാതൊന്നിനെയുമോ ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്യരുതു; ശിക്ഷാവിധിയിൽ അകപ്പെടാതിരിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾ ഉവ്വു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ ഉവ്വു എന്നും ഇല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ ഇല്ല എന്നും ഇരിക്കട്ടെ.

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.നിങ്ങളിൽ കഷ്ടമനുഭവിക്കുന്നവൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കട്ടെ; സുഖം അനുഭവിക്കുന്നവൻ പാട്ടു പാടട്ടെ.

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:നിങ്ങളിൽ ദീനമായി കിടക്കുന്നവൻ സഭയിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാരെ വരുത്തട്ടെ. അവർ കർത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ അവനെ എണ്ണ പൂശി അവന്നു വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കട്ടെ.

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.എന്നാൽ വിശ്വാസത്തോടുകൂടിയ പ്രാർത്ഥന ദീനക്കാരനെ രക്ഷിക്കും; കർത്താവു അവനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും; അവൻ പാപം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അവനോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും.

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that all of you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു രോഗശാന്തി വരേണ്ടതിന്നു തമ്മിൽ പാപങ്ങളെ ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞു ഒരുവന്നു വേണ്ടി ഒരുവൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ. നീതിമാന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധയോടുകൂടിയ പ്രാർത്ഥന വളരെ ഫലിക്കുന്നു.

Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.ഏലീയാവു നമുക്കു സമസ്വഭാവമുള്ള മനുഷ്യൻ ആയിരുന്നു; മഴ പെയ്യാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ പ്രാർത്ഥനയിൽ അപേക്ഷിച്ചു; മൂന്നു സംവത്സരവും ആറു മാസവും ദേശത്തു മഴ പെയ്തില്ല.

And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.അവൻ വീണ്ടും പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചപ്പോൾ ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു മഴ പെയ്തു, ഭൂമിയിൽ ധാന്യം വിളഞ്ഞു.

Brethren, if any of you do go astray from the truth, and one convert him;സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരുവൻ സത്യംവിട്ടു തെറ്റിപ്പോകയും അവനെ ഒരുവൻ തിരിച്ചുവരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്താൽ

Let him know, that he which converts the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.പാപിയെ നേർവ്വഴിക്കു ആക്കുന്നവൻ അവന്റെ പ്രാണനെ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷിക്കയും പാപങ്ങളുടെ ബഹുത്വം മറെക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു അവൻ അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളട്ടെ.

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ അപ്പൊസ്തലനായ പത്രൊസ് പൊന്തൊസിലും ഗലാത്യയിലും കപ്പദൊക്യയിലും ആസ്യയിലും ബിഥുന്യയിലും ചിതറിപ്പാർക്കുന്ന പരദേശികളും

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുന്നറിവിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ആത്മാവിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധീകരണം പ്രാപിച്ചു അനുസരണം കാണിപ്പാനും യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ രക്തത്താൽ തളിക്കപ്പെടുവാനുമായി വൃതന്മാരുമായവർക്കു എഴുതുന്നതു: നിങ്ങൾക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും വർദ്ധിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം. അവൻ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നുള്ള യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്താൽ തന്റെ കരുണാധിക്യപ്രകാരം നമ്മെ ജീവനുള്ള പ്രത്യാശെക്കായി,

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you,അന്ത്യകാലത്തിൽ വെളിപ്പെടുവാൻ ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്ന രക്ഷെക്കു വിശ്വാസത്താൽ ദൈവശക്തിയിൽ കാക്കപ്പെടുന്ന നിങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.ക്ഷയം, മാലിന്യം, വാട്ടം, എന്നിവ ഇല്ലാത്തതുമായ അവകാശത്തിന്നായി തന്നേ വീണ്ടും ജനിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Wherein all of you greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, all of you are in heaviness through manifold temptations:അതിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ അല്പനേരത്തേക്കു നാനാപരീക്ഷകളാൽ ദുഃഖിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നാലും ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു.

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:അഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നതും തീയിൽ ശോധന കഴിക്കുന്നതുമായ പൊന്നിനെക്കാൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ പരിശോധന വിലയേറിയതു എന്നു യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതയിൽ പുകഴ്ചെക്കും തേജസ്സിന്നും മാനത്തിന്നുമായി കാണ്മാൻ അങ്ങനെ ഇടവരും.

Whom having not seen, all of you love; in whom, though now all of you see him not, yet believing, all of you rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:അവനെ നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ലെങ്കിലും സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; ഇപ്പോൾ കാണാതെ വിശ്വസിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ അന്തമായ ആത്മരക്ഷ പ്രാപിക്കയും പറഞ്ഞുതീരാത്തതും മഹിമയുള്ളതുമായ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ ആനന്ദിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:നിങ്ങൾക്കു വരുവാനിരിക്കുന്ന കൃപയെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രവചിച്ച പ്രവാചകന്മാർ ഈ രക്ഷയെ ആരാഞ്ഞു അന്വേഷിച്ചിരുന്നു.

Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.അവരിലുള്ള ക്രിസ്തുവിൻ ആത്മാവു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നു വരേണ്ടിയ കഷ്ടങ്ങളെയും പിൻവരുന്ന മഹിമയെയും മുമ്പിൽകൂട്ടി സാക്ഷീകരിച്ചപ്പോൾ സൂചിപ്പിച്ച സമയം ഏതോ എങ്ങിനെയുള്ളതോ എന്നു പ്രവാചകന്മാർ ആരാഞ്ഞുനോക്കി,

Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.തങ്ങൾക്കായിട്ടല്ല നിങ്ങൾക്കായിട്ടത്രേ തങ്ങൾ ആ ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു അവർക്കു വെളിപ്പെട്ടു; സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു അയച്ച പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാൽ നിങ്ങളോടു സുവിശേഷം അറിയിച്ചവർ അതു ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിലേക്കു ദൈവദൂതന്മാരും കുനിഞ്ഞുനോക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ മനസ്സു ഉറപ്പിച്ചു നിർമ്മദരായി യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പ്രത്യക്ഷതയിങ്കൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വരുവാനുള്ള കൃപയിൽ പൂർണ്ണ പ്രത്യാശ വെച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:പണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ അജ്ഞാനകാലത്തു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന മോഹങ്ങളെ

But as he which has called you is holy, so be all of you holy in all manner of conversation;മാതൃകയാക്കാതെ നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ച വിശുദ്ധന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അനുസരണമുള്ള മക്കളായി എല്ലാനടപ്പിലും വിശുദ്ധരാകുവിൻ.

Because it is written, Be all of you holy; for I am holy.“ഞാൻ വിശുദ്ധൻ ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങളും വിശുദ്ധരായിരിപ്പിൻ ” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

And if all of you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:മുഖപക്ഷം കൂടാതെ ഓരോരുത്തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം ന്യായം വിധിക്കുന്നവനെ നിങ്ങൾ പിതാവു എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാസകാലം ഭയത്തോടെ കഴിപ്പിൻ.

Forasmuch as all of you know that all of you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;വ്യർത്ഥവും പിതൃപാരമ്പര്യവുമായുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ നടപ്പിൽനിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ വീണ്ടെടു ത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു പൊന്നു, വെള്ളി മുതലായ അഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്ന വസ്തുക്കളെക്കൊണ്ടല്ല,

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:ക്രിസ്തു എന്ന നിർദ്ദോഷവും നിഷ്കളങ്കവുമായ കുഞ്ഞാടിന്റെ വിലയേറിയ രക്തംകൊണ്ടത്രേ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,അവൻ ലോകസ്ഥാപനത്തിന്നു മുമ്പെ മുന്നറിയപ്പെട്ടവനും അവൻ മുഖാന്തരം ദൈവത്തിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങൾ നിമിത്തം ഈ അന്ത്യകാലത്തു വെളിപ്പെട്ടവനും ആകുന്നു.

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസവും പ്രത്യാശയും ദൈവത്തിൽ വെച്ചുകൊള്ളേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവം അവനെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു, അവന്നു തേജസ്സു കൊടുത്തുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

Seeing all of you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto sincere love of the brethren, see that all of you love one another with a pure heart fervently:എന്നാൽ സത്യം അനുസരിക്കയാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ആത്മാക്കളെ നിർവ്യാജമായ സഹോദരപ്രീതിക്കായി നിർമ്മലീകരിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു ഹൃദയപൂർവ്വം അന്യോന്യം ഉറ്റുസ്നേഹിപ്പിൻ.

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever.കെടുന്ന ബീജത്താലല്ല കെടാത്തതിനാൽ, ജീവനുള്ളതും നിലനില്ക്കുന്നതുമായ ദൈവവചനത്താൽ തന്നേ, നിങ്ങൾ വീണ്ടും ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower thereof falls away:“സകലജഡവും പുല്ലുപോലെയും അതിന്റെ ഭംഗി എല്ലാം പുല്ലിന്റെ പൂപോലെയും ആകുന്നു; പുല്ലു വാടി പൂവുതിർന്നുപോയി;

But the word of the Lord endures for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.കർത്താവിന്റെ വചനമോ എന്നേക്കും നിലനില്ക്കുന്നു.” അതു ആകുന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു പ്രസംഗിച്ച വചനം.

1 Peter 2

Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, all evil speaking,ആകയാൽ സകലദുഷ്ടതയും എല്ലാ ചതിവും വ്യാജഭാവവും അസൂയയും എല്ലാനുണയും നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that all of you may grow thereby:ഇപ്പോൾ ജനിച്ച ശിശുക്കളെപ്പോലെ രക്ഷെക്കായി വളരുവാൻ വചനം എന്ന മായമില്ലാത്ത പാൽ കുടിപ്പാൻ

If so be all of you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.വാഞ്ഛിപ്പിൻ. കർത്താവു ദയാലു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ആസ്വദിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.

To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,മനുഷ്യർ തള്ളിയതെങ്കിലും ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ ശ്രേഷ്ഠവും മാന്യവുമായ ജീവനുള്ള കല്ലായ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നിട്ടു

All of you also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.നിങ്ങളും ജീവനുള്ള കല്ലുകൾ എന്നപോലെ ആത്മികഗൃഹമായി യേശുക്രിസ്തുമുഖാന്തരം ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ള ആത്മികയാഗം കഴിപ്പാന്തക്ക വിശുദ്ധപുരോഹിതവർഗ്ഗമാകേ ണ്ടതിന്നു പണിയപ്പെടുന്നു.

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be confounded.“ഞാൻ ശ്രേഷ്ഠവും മാന്യവുമായോരു മൂലക്കല്ലു സീയോനിൽ ഇടുന്നു; അവനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകയില്ല” എന്നു തിരുവെഴുത്തിൽ കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങൾക്കു ആ മാന്യതയുണ്ടു; വിശ്വസിക്കാത്തവർക്കോ “വീടു പണിയുന്നവർ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞ കല്ലു തന്നേ മൂലക്കല്ലും ഇടർച്ചക്കല്ലും തടങ്ങൽ പാറയുമായിത്തീർന്നു.”

And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: unto which also they were appointed.അവർ വചനം അനുസരിക്കായ്കയാൽ ഇടറിപ്പോകുന്നു; അതിന്നു അവരെ വെച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

For so is the will of God, that with well doing all of you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:നിങ്ങൾ നന്മ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടു ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഭോഷത്വം മിണ്ടാതാക്കേണം എന്നുള്ളതു ദൈവേഷ്ടം ആകുന്നു.

As free, and not using your liberty for a coat of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.സ്വതന്ത്രരായും സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം ദുഷ്ടതെക്കു മറയാക്കാതെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായും നടപ്പിൻ.

Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.എല്ലാവരെയും ബഹുമാനിപ്പിൻ; സഹോദരവർഗ്ഗത്തെ സ്നേഹിപ്പിൻ; ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുവിൻ; രാജാവിനെ ബഹുമാനിപ്പിൻ.

Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the perverse.വേലക്കാരേ, പൂർണ്ണഭയത്തോടെ യജമാനന്മാർക്കു, നല്ലവർക്കും ശാന്തന്മാർക്കും മാത്രമല്ല, മൂർഖന്മാർക്കും കൂടെ കീഴടങ്ങിയിരിപ്പിൻ.

For what glory is it, if, when all of you be buffeted for your faults, all of you shall take it patiently? but if, when all of you do well, and suffer for it, all of you take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.നിങ്ങൾ കുറ്റം ചെയ്തിട്ടു അടികൊള്ളുന്നതു സഹിച്ചാൽ എന്തു യശസ്സുള്ളു? അല്ല, നന്മ ചെയ്തിട്ടു കഷ്ടം സഹിച്ചാൽ അതു ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രസാദം.
