And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.അവൻ തനിക്കു ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ അരമനകളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്നായി ഒരു സ്ഥലം ഒരുക്കി, അതിന്നു ഒരു കൂടാരവും അടിച്ചു.

Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them has the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.അന്നു ദാവീദ്: ലേവ്യരല്ലാതെ ആരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം ചുമക്കേണ്ടതല്ല; അവരെയല്ലോ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം ചുമപ്പാനും തനിക്കു എന്നും ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്‍വാനും യഹോവ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.അങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം താൻ അതിന്നു ഒരുക്കിയ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിനെയും യെരൂശലേമിൽ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.

And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:ദാവീദ് അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.

Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty:കെഹാത്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ ഊരിയേലിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ നൂറ്റിരുപതുപേരെയും

Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty:മെരാർയ്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ അസായാവെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ ഇരുനൂറ്റിരുപതുപേരെയും

Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief and his brethren an hundred and thirty:ഗേർശോമ്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ യോവേലിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ നൂറ്റിമുപ്പതുപേരെയും

Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twelve.ഉസ്സീയേല്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ അമ്മീനാദാബിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ നൂറ്റിപ്പന്ത്രണ്ടുപേരെയും തന്നെ.

And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,ദാവീദ് പുരോഹിതന്മാരായ സാദോക്കിനെയും അബ്യാഥാരിനെയും ഊരീയേൽ, അസായാവു, യോവേൽ, ശെമയ്യാവു, എലീയേൽ, അമ്മീനാദാബ് എന്നീ ലേവ്യരെയും വിളിപ്പിച്ചു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു:

And said unto them, All of you are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both all of you and your brethren, that all of you may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.നിങ്ങൾ ലേവ്യരുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങളിൽ തലവന്മാരല്ലോ; നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം ഞാൻ അതിന്നു ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.

For because all of you did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.ആദിയിൽ നിങ്ങൾ തന്നേ അതു ചെയ്യായ്കകൊണ്ടു നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നമുക്കു ഛേദം ഉണ്ടാക്കി; നാം അവനെ നിയമപ്രകാരമല്ലല്ലോ അന്വേഷിച്ചതു.

So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.അങ്ങനെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ തങ്ങളെ തന്നേ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു.

And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.ലേവ്യരുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ യഹോവയുടെ വചനപ്രകാരം മോശെ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകത്തെ അതിന്റെ തണ്ടുകൾ തങ്ങളുടെ ചുമലിൽ കൊണ്ടു ചുമന്നു.

And David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് ലേവ്യരിലെ പ്രധാനന്മാരോടു വീണ, കിന്നരം, കൈത്താളം എന്നീ വാദ്യങ്ങളാൽ സന്തോഷനാദം ഉച്ചത്തിൽ ധ്വനിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു സംഗീതക്കാരായ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ നിറുത്തുവാൻ കല്പിച്ചു.

So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;അങ്ങനെ ലേവ്യർ യോവേലിന്റെ മകനായ ഹേമാനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരിൽ ബേരെഖ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ ആസാഫിനെയും അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ മെരാർയ്യരിൽ കൂശായാവിന്റെ മകനായ ഏഥാനെയും

And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, the porters.അവരോടുകൂടെ രണ്ടാം തരത്തിലെ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ സെഖർയ്യാവു, ബേൻ, യാസീയേൽ, ശെമീരാമോത്ത്, യെഹീയേൽ, ഉന്നി, എലീയാബ്, ബെനായാവു, മയസേയാവു, മത്ഥിഥ്യാവു, എലീഫെലേഹൂ, മിക്നേയാവു, ഓബേദ്-എദോം, യെയീയേൽ എന്നിവരെ വാതിൽ കാവൽക്കാരായും നിയമിച്ചു.

So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass;സംഗീതക്കാരായ ഹേമാനും ആസാഫും ഏഥാനും താമ്രംകൊണ്ടുള്ള കൈത്താളങ്ങളെയും

And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth;സെഖർയ്യാവു, അസീയേൽ, ശെമീരാമോത്ത്, യെഹീയേൽ, ഉന്നി, എലീയാബ്, മയസേയാവു, ബെനായാവു എന്നിവർ അലാമോത്ത് രാഗത്തിൽ വീണകളെയും ധ്വനിപ്പിപ്പാനും

And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel.മത്ഥിഥ്യവു, എലീഫേലേഹൂ, മിക്നേയാവു, ഓബേദ്-എദോം, യെയീയേൽ, അസസ്യാവു എന്നിവർ ശെമീനീത്ത് രാഗത്തിൽ കിന്നരം വായിപ്പാനും നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.വാഹകന്മാരായ ലേവ്യരിൽ പ്രധാനിയായ കെനന്യാവു പെട്ടകം വഹിക്കുന്നതിന്നു മേൽവിചാരകനായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അതിൽ സമർത്ഥനായിരുന്നു.

And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.ബേരെഖ്യാവും എൽക്കാനയും പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാർ ആയിരുന്നു.

And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obededom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.ശെബന്യാവു, യോശാഫാത്ത്, നെഥനയേൽ, അമാസായി, സെഖർയ്യാവു, ബെനായാവു, എലെയാസാർ എന്നീ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്മുമ്പിൽ കാഹളം ഊതി; ഓബേദ്-എദോമും യെഹീയാവും പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാർ ആയിരുന്നു.

So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom with joy.ഇങ്ങനെ ദാവീദും യിസ്രായേൽമൂപ്പന്മാരും സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരും യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം ഓബേദ്-എദോമിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ പോയി.

And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ വാഹകന്മാരായ ലേവ്യർക്കു ദൈവം സഹായിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ ഏഴു കാളയെയും ഏഴു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും യാഗംകഴിച്ചു.

And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.ദാവീദ് പെട്ടകവാഹകന്മാരായ ലേവ്യർ ഒക്കെയും സംഗീതക്കാരും സംഗീതക്കാരോടുകൂടെ വാഹകപ്രമാണിയായ കെനന്യാവും ശണപടം കൊണ്ടുള്ള അങ്കി ധരിച്ചു; ദാവീദ് ശണം കൊണ്ടുള്ള എഫോദ് ധരിച്ചു.

Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.അങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേലൊക്കയും ആർപ്പോടും കാഹളനാദത്തോടും തൂർയ്യങ്ങളുടെയും കൈത്താളങ്ങളുടെയും ധ്വനിയോടുംകൂടി കിന്നരവും വീണയും വായിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal, the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ ശൌലിന്റെ മകളായ മീഖൾ കിളിവാതിലിൽകൂടി നോക്കി, ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവു നൃത്തം ചെയ്യുന്നതും പാടുന്നതും കണ്ടു ഹൃദയത്തിൽ അവനെ നിന്ദിച്ചു

So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ദാവീദ് അതിന്നായിട്ടു അടിച്ചിരുന്ന കൂടാരത്തിന്നകത്തു വെച്ചു; പിന്നെ അവർ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും കഴിച്ചു.

And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.ദാവീദ് ഹോമയാഗവും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും കഴിച്ചുതീർന്നശേഷം ജനത്തെ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ഓരോ പുരുഷന്നും സ്ത്രീക്കും ആളൊന്നിന്നു ഒരു അപ്പവും ഒരു ഖണ്ഡം ഇറച്ചിയും ഒരു മുന്തിരിങ്ങാക്കട്ടവീതം വിഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു കീർത്തനവും വന്ദനവും സ്തോത്രവും ചെയ്‍വാൻ ലേവ്യരിൽനിന്നു ശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാരെ നിയമിച്ചു.

Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;ആസാഫ് തലവൻ; രണ്ടാമൻ സെഖർയ്യാവു; പിന്നെ യെയീയേൽ, ശെമീരാമോത്ത്, യെഹീയേൽ, മത്ഥിഥ്യാവു, എലീയാബ്, ബെനായാവു, ഓബേദ്-എദോം, യെയീയേൽ എന്നിവർ വീണയും കിന്നരവും വായിച്ചു; ആസാഫ് കൈത്താളം കൊട്ടി.

Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.പുരോഹിതന്മാരായ ബെനായാവും യെഹസീയേലും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നിയമപെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിരന്തരം കാഹളം ഊതി.

Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.അന്നു, ആ ദിവസം തന്നേ, ദാവീദ് ആസാഫും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും മുഖാന്തരം യഹോവെക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു ആദ്യം നിയമിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.യഹോവെക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ നാമത്തെ ആരാധിപ്പിൻ; ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ അറിയിപ്പിൻ;

Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk all of you of all his wondrous works.അവന്നു പാടി കീർത്തനം ചെയ്‍വിൻ; അവന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും വർണ്ണിപ്പിൻ.

Glory all of you in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തിൽ പുകഴുവിൻ; യഹോവയെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഹൃദയം സന്തോഷിക്കട്ടെ.

Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.യഹോവയെയും അവന്റെ ശക്തിയെയും തേടുവിൻ; അവന്റെ മുഖം നിരന്തരം അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ.

Remember his marvellous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;അവന്റെ ദാസനായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സന്താനമേ, അവന്റെ വൃതന്മാരായ യാക്കോബ് പുത്രന്മാരേ,

O all of you seed of Israel his servant, all of you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.അവൻ ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത അടയാളങ്ങളും വിധികളും ഓർത്തുകൊൾവിൻ.

¹⁴

He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.അവനല്ലോ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ; അവന്റെ ന്യായവിധികൾ സർവ്വഭൂമിയിലുമുണ്ടു.

¹⁵

Be all of you mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;അവന്റെ വചനം ആയിരം തലമുറയോളവും അവന്റെ നിയമം എന്നേക്കും ഓർത്തുകൊൾവിൻ.

¹⁶

Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;അബ്രാഹാമോടു അവൻ ചെയ്ത നിയമവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടു ചെയ്ത സത്യവും തന്നേ.

¹⁷

And has confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,അതിനെ അവൻ യാക്കോബിന്നു ഒരു പ്രമാണമായും യിസ്രായേലിന്നൊരു ശാശ്വതനിയമമായും ഉറപ്പിച്ചു.

Saying, Unto you will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;ഞാൻ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി കനാൻ ദേശത്തെ തരും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

When all of you were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.നിങ്ങൾ എണ്ണം കുറഞ്ഞു ചുരുക്കംപേരും അവിടെ പരദേശികളും ആയിരിക്കുമ്പോഴും

²⁰

And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;അവർ ഒരു ജാതിയെ വിട്ടു മറ്റൊരു ജാതിയിലേക്കും ഒരു രാജ്യം വിട്ടു മറ്റൊരു വംശത്തിലേക്കും പോകുമ്പോഴും

He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,ആരും അവരെ പീഡിപ്പിപ്പാൻ അവൻ സമ്മതിച്ചില്ല; അവർനിമിത്തം രാജാക്കന്മാരെയും ശാസിച്ചതു:

Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.എന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്മാരെ തൊടരുതു; എന്റെ പ്രവാചകർക്കു ദോഷം ചെയ്കയുമരുതു.

Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; show forth from day to day his salvation.സർവ്വഭൂവാസികളേ, യഹോവെക്കു പാടുവിൻ; നാൾക്കുനാൾ അവന്റെ രക്ഷയെ പ്രസ്താവിപ്പിൻ.

²⁴

Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.ജാതികളുടെ നടുവിൽ അവന്റെ മഹത്വവും സർവ്വവംശങ്ങളുടെയും മദ്ധ്യേ അവന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും കഥിപ്പിൻ.

²⁵

For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.യഹോവ വലിയവനും അത്യന്തം സ്തുത്യനും സർവ്വദേവന്മാരിലും അതിഭയങ്കരനുമല്ലോ.

²⁶

For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.ജാതികളുടെ സകലദേവന്മാരും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ അത്രേ; യഹോവയോ ആകാശത്തെ ചമെച്ചവൻ.

²⁷

Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.യശസ്സും തേജസ്സും അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയിലും ബലവും ആനന്ദവും അവന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലത്തിലും ഉണ്ടു.

²⁸

Give unto the LORD, all of you families of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.ജാതികളുടെ കുലങ്ങളേ, യഹോവെക്കു കൊടുപ്പിൻ;

²⁹

Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.യഹോവെക്കു അവന്റെ നാമത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം കൊടുപ്പിൻ; കാഴ്ചയുമായി അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ചെല്ലുവിൻ; വിശുദ്ധഭൂഷണം ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിപ്പിൻ.

Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.സർവ്വഭൂമിയേ, അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നടുങ്ങുക; ഭൂതലം കുലങ്ങാതവണ്ണം സ്ഥാപിതമാകുന്നു.

³¹

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigns.സ്വർഗ്ഗം ആനന്ദിക്കട്ടെ; ഭൂമി ഉല്ലസിക്കട്ടെ; യഹോവ വാഴുന്നു എന്നു ജാതികളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഘോഷിക്കട്ടെ.

Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.സമുദ്രവും അതിന്റെ പൂർണ്ണതയും മുഴങ്ങട്ടെ. വയലും അതിലുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ആഹ്ളാദിക്കട്ടെ.

Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he comes to judge the earth.അന്നു വനത്തിലെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങൾ യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പിൽ ആർക്കും; അവൻ ഭൂമിയെ വിധിപ്പാൻ വരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endures for ever.യഹോവെക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്‍വിൻ; അവൻ നല്ലവനല്ലോ; അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു.

³⁵

And say all of you, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to your holy name, and glory in your praise.ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷയായ ദൈവമേ, ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; തിരുനാമത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തി നിന്റെ സ്തുതിയിൽ പുകഴുവാൻ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിച്ചു ശേഖരിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറവിൻ.

Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the LORD.യിസ്രായേലിൻ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ. സകലജനവും ആമേൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചു.

So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day's work required:ഇങ്ങനെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ദിവസംപ്രതിയുള്ള വേലയുടെ ആവശ്യംപോലെ നിത്യം ശുശ്രൂഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആസാഫിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും

And Obededom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obededom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:ഒബേദ്-എദോമിനെയും അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ അറുപത്തെട്ടുപേരെയും യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്മുമ്പിലും യെദൂഥൂന്റെ മകനായ ഓബേദ്-എദോമിനെയും ഹോസയെയും വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാരായും നിർത്തി.

And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon,പുരോഹിതനായ സാദോക്കിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ഗിബെയോനിലെ പൂജാഗിരിയിൽ യഹോവയുടെ തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്മുമ്പിൽ യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിനോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള

To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;അവന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്ന പ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും രാവിലെയും വൈകുന്നേരവും നിത്യം ഹോമപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ യഹോവെക്കു

And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endures for ever;ഹോമയാഗം കഴിപ്പാനും അവരോടുകൂടെ ഹേമാൻ, യെദൂഥൂൻ മുതലായി പേർവിവരം പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരെയും അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു എന്നിങ്ങനെ യഹോവെക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്‍വാനും നിയമിച്ചു.

And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.അവരോടുകൂടെ ഹേമാനെയും യെദൂഥൂനെയും കാഹളം, കൈത്താളം എന്നിങ്ങനെ ദിവ്യസംഗീതത്തിന്നായുള്ള വാദ്യങ്ങളെ ധ്വനിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിയമിച്ചു; യെദൂഥൂന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാർ ആയിരുന്നു;

And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.പിന്നെ സർവ്വജനവും ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി; ദാവീദും തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

1 Chronicles 17

Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remains under curtains.ദാവീദ് തന്റെ അരമനയിൽ വസിച്ചിരിക്കുംകാലത്തു ഒരുനാൾ നാഥാൻ പ്രവാചകനോടു: ഇതാ ഞാൻ ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടുള്ള അരമനയിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകമോ തിരശ്ശീലകൾക്കു കീഴെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then Nathan said unto David, Do all that is in yours heart; for God is with you.നാഥാൻ ദാവീദിനോടു: നിന്റെ താല്പര്യംപോലെയൊക്കെയും ചെയ്താലും; യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,എന്നാൽ അന്നു രാത്രി നാഥാന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Go and tell David my servant, Thus says the LORD, You shall not build me an house to dwell in:നീ ചെന്നു എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോടു പറക: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; എനിക്കു വസിപ്പാനുള്ള ആലയം പണിയേണ്ടതു നീയല്ല.

For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാൾമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെയും ഞാൻ ഒരു ആലയത്തിൽ വാസം ചെയ്യാതെ കൂടാരത്തിൽനിന്നു കൂടരത്തിലേക്കും നിവാസത്തിൽനിന്നു നിവാസത്തിലേക്കും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു.

Where ever I have walked with all Israel, spoke I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have all of you not built me an house of cedars?എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിനോടുംകൂടെ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുവന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ എവിടെവെച്ചെങ്കിലും എന്റെ ജനത്തെ മേയിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചാക്കിയ യിസ്രായേൽ ന്യായാധിപതിമാരിൽ ആരോടെങ്കിലും: നിങ്ങൾ എനിക്കു ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയാതെയിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ഒരു വാക്കു ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

Now therefore thus shall you say unto my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that you should be ruler over my people Israel:ആകയാൽ നീ എന്റെ ഭൃത്യനായ ദാവീദിനോടു പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാൽ: സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നീ എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു പ്രഭുവായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ പുല്പുറത്തുനിന്നു, ആടുകളെ നോക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ എടുത്തു.

And I have been with you anywhere you have walked, and have cut off all yours enemies from before you, and have made you a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth.നീ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുവന്ന എല്ലായിടത്തും ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു നിന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള മഹാന്മാരുടെ നാമംപോലെ ഒരു നാമം ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ഉണ്ടാക്കും.

Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,ഞാൻ എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ഒരു സ്ഥലം കല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അവർ സ്വന്തസ്ഥലത്തു പാർത്തു അവിടെനിന്നു ഇളകാതവണ്ണം അവരെ നടുകയും ചെയ്യും; പണ്ടത്തെപ്പോലെയും എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ഞാൻ ന്യായാധിപന്മാരെ കല്പിച്ചാക്കിയ കാലത്തെപ്പോലെയും ഇനി ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ അവരെ ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കയില്ല.

And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all yours enemies. Furthermore I tell you that the LORD will build you an house.ഞാൻ നിന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും അടക്കും; യഹോവ നിനക്കു ഒരു ഗൃഹം പണിയുമെന്നും ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

And it shall come to pass, when your days be expired that you must go to be with your fathers, that I will raise up your seed after you, which shall be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom.നീ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പോകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ ജീവകാലം തികയുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശേഷം നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരിൽ ഒരുവനായ നിന്റെ സന്തതിയെ എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കയും അവന്റെ രാജത്വം സ്ഥിരമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

He shall build me an house, and I will establish his throne for ever.അവൻ എനിക്കു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയും; ഞാൻ അവന്റെ സിംഹാസനം എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമാക്കും.

I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before you:ഞാൻ അവന്നു പിതാവും അവൻ എനിക്കു പുത്രനും ആയിരിക്കും; നിന്റെ മുൻവാഴ്ചക്കാരനോടു ഞാൻ എന്റെ കൃപ എടുത്തുകളഞ്ഞതുപോലെ അവനോടു അതിനെ എടുത്തുകളകയില്ല.

But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.ഞാൻ അവനെ എന്റെ ആലയത്തിലും എന്റെ രാജത്വത്തിലും എന്നേക്കും നിലനിർത്തും; അവന്റെ സിംഹാസനവും എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കും.

According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.ഈ വാക്കുകളും ഈ ദർശനവും എല്ലാം നാഥാൻ ദാവീദിനോടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു.

And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is mine house, that you have brought me until now?അപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവു അകത്തു ചെന്നു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഇരുന്നു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: യഹോവയായ ദൈവമേ, നീ എന്നെ ഇത്രത്തോളം കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ ഞാൻ ആർ? എന്റെ ഗൃഹവും എന്തുള്ളു?

And yet this was a small thing in yours eyes, O God; for you have also spoken of your servant's house for a great while to come, and have regarded me according to the estate of a man of high degree, O LORD God.ദൈവമേ, ഇതും പോരാ എന്നു തോന്നീട്ടു യഹോവയായ ദൈവമേ, വരുവാനുള്ള ദീർഘകാലത്തേക്കു അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്കയും ശ്രേഷ്ഠപദവിയിലുള്ള മനുഷ്യന്റെ അവസ്ഥെക്കൊത്തവണ്ണം എന്നെ ആദരിക്കയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

What can David speak more to you for the honour of your servant? for you know your servant.അടിയന്നു ചെയ്ത ബഹുമാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ദാവീദ് ഇനി എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു? നീ അടിയനെ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

¹⁹

O LORD, for your servant's sake, and according to yours own heart, have you done all this greatness, in making known all these great things.യഹോവേ, അടിയൻ നിമിത്തവും നിന്റെ പ്രസാദപ്രകാരവും നീ ഈ മഹിമ ഒക്കെയും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു ഈ വങ്കാര്യം എല്ലാം അറിയിച്ചുതന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

O LORD, there is none like you, neither is there any God beside you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.ഞങ്ങൾ സ്വന്തചെവികൊണ്ടു കേട്ടതൊക്കെയും ഓർത്താൽ യഹോവേ, നിന്നെപ്പോലെ ഒരുത്തനുമില്ല; നീ അല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവവുമില്ല.

And what one nation in the earth is like your people Israel, whom God went to redeem to be his own people, to make you a name of greatness and terribleness, by driving out nations from before your people whom you have redeemed out of Egypt?മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു നീ ഉദ്ധരിച്ച നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു ജാതികളെ നീക്കിക്കളകയിൽ വലിയതും ഭയങ്കരവുമായ കാര്യങ്ങളാൽ നിനക്കു ഒരു നാമം സമ്പാദിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു: ദൈവമേ നീ ചെന്നു നിനക്കു സ്വന്തജനമായി വിണ്ടെടുത്ത നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെപ്പോലെ ഭൂമിയിൽ ഏതൊരു ജാതിയുള്ളു?

For your people Israel did you make yours own people for ever; and you, LORD, became their God.നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ നീ എന്നേക്കും നിനക്കു സ്വന്തജനമാക്കുകയും യഹോവേ, നീ അവർക്കു ദൈവമായ്തീരുകയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as you have said.ആകയാൽ യഹോവേ, ഇപ്പോൾ നീ അടിയനെയും അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കട്ടെ; അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ തന്നേ ചെയ്യേണമേ.

²⁴

Let it even be established, that your name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David your servant be established before you.സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമാകുന്നു; യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ദൈവം തന്നേ എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ നാമം എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരപ്പെട്ടു മഹത്വപ്പെടുകയും നിന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ ഗൃഹം നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിലനിൽക്കയും ചെയ്യുമാറാകട്ടെ.

For you, O my God, have told your servant that you will build him an house: therefore your servant has found in his heart to pray before you.എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, അടിയന്നു നീ ഒരു ഗൃഹം പണിയുമെന്നു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിത്തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു അടിയൻ തിരുസന്നിധിയിൽ പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പാൻ ധൈര്യംപ്രാപിച്ചു.

And now, LORD, you are God, and have promised this goodness unto your servant:ആകയാൽ യഹോവേ, നീ തന്നേ ദൈവം; അടിയന്നു ഈ നന്മയെ നീ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

Now therefore let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may be before you for ever: for you bless, O LORD, and it shall be blessed for ever.അതുകൊണ്ടു അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹം തിരുമുമ്പാകെ എന്നേക്കും ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിനെ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ നിനക്കു പ്രസാദം തോന്നിയിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവേ, നീ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു എന്നേക്കും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടും ഇരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

1 Chronicles 18

Now after this it came to pass, that David stroke the Philistines, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Philistines.അതിന്റെശേഷം ദാവീദ് ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ തോല്പിച്ചു അടക്കി, ഗത്തും അതിനോടു ചേർന്ന ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു പിടിച്ചു.

And he stroke Moab; and the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.പിന്നെ അവൻ മോവാബിനെ തോല്പിച്ചു; മോവാബ്യർ ദാവീദിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായി കാഴ്ചകൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And David stroke Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates.സോബാരാജാവായ ഹദദേസെർ ഫ്രാത്ത് നദീതീരത്തിങ്കൽ തന്റെ ആധിപത്യം ഉറപ്പിപ്പാൻ പോയപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ് അവനെയും ഹമാത്തിൽവെച്ചു തോല്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also cut the hamstrings of all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.അവന്റെ വക ആയിരം രഥങ്ങളെയും ഏഴായിരം കുതിരപ്പടയാളികളെയും ഇരുപതിനായിരം കാലാളുകളെയും ദാവീദ് പിടിച്ചു; ദാവീദ് അവയിൽ നൂറു രഥകൂതിരകളെ വെച്ചുകൊണ്ടുശേഷം രഥകൂതിരകളെ ഒക്കെയും കുതിഞരമ്പു വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadarezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.സോബാരാജാവായ ഹദദേസെരിനെ സഹായിപ്പാൻ ദമ്മേശെക്കിലെ അരാമ്യർ വന്നപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ് അരാമ്യരിൽ ഇരുപതിനായിരം പേരെ നിഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

Then David put garrisons in Syriadamascus; and the Syrians became David's servants, and brought gifts. Thus the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് ദമ്മേശെക്കിനോടു ചേർന്ന അരാമിൽ കാവല്പട്ടാളങ്ങളെ പാർപ്പിച്ചു; അരാമ്യരും ദാവീദിന്നു ദാസന്മാരായി കാഴ്ചകൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് ചെന്നേടത്തൊക്കെയും യഹോവ അവന്നു ജയം നല്കി.

And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.ഹദദേസെരിന്റെ ദാസന്മാർക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്ന പൊൻപരിചകളെ ദാവീദ് എടുത്തു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, wherewith Solomon made the brazen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.ഹദദേസെരിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളായ തിബ്ഹാത്തിൽനിന്നും കൂനിൽനിന്നും അനവധി താമ്രവും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ശലോമോൻ താമ്രക്കടലും സ്തംഭങ്ങളും താമ്രപാത്രങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

Now when Tou king of Hamath heard how David had smitten all the host of Hadarezer king of Zobah;എന്നാൽ ദാവീദ് സോബാരാജാവായ ഹദദേസെരിന്റെ സൈന്യത്തെയെല്ലാം തോല്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു എന്നു ഹമാത്ത്‌രാജാവായ തോവൂ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ

He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war with Tou;) and with him all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass.അവൻ ദാവീദ്‍രാജാവിനോടു കുശലും ചോദിപ്പാനും അവൻ ഹദദേസെരിനോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു അവനെ തോല്പിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ അഭിനന്ദിപ്പാനും തന്റെ മകനായ ഹദോരാമിനെ അയച്ചു; ഹദദേസരും തോവൂവും തമ്മിൽ കൂടക്കൂടെ യുദ്ധം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ പൊന്നു, വെള്ളി താമ്രം ഇവകൊണ്ടുള്ള സകലവിധസാധനങ്ങളെയും കൊണ്ടു വന്നു.

Them also king David dedicated unto the LORD, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all these nations; from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.ദാവീദ്‍രാജാവു അവയെ താൻ ഏദോം, മോവാബ്, അമ്മോന്യർ, ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ, അമാലേക്ക് മുതലായ സകലജാതികളുടെ പക്കൽനിന്നും പിടിച്ചെടുത്ത വെള്ളിയോടും പൊന്നിനോടുംകൂടെ യഹോവെക്കു വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു.

Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand.സെരൂയയുടെ മകനായ അബീശായി ഉപ്പുതാഴ്വരയിൽവെച്ചു എദോമ്യരിൽ പതിനെണ്ണായിരംപേരെ സംഹരിച്ചു.

And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Edomites became David's servants. Thus the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.ദാവീദ് എദോമിൽ കാവല്പട്ടാളങ്ങളെ ആക്കി; എദോമ്യർ എല്ലാവരും അവന്നു ദാസന്മാർ ആയ്തീർന്നു. അങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് ചെന്നേടത്തൊക്കെയും യഹോവ അവന്നു ജയം നല്കി.

So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people.ഇങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്നും രാജാവായി വാണു; തന്റെ സകലജനത്തിന്നും നീതിയും ന്യായവും നടത്തിവന്നു.

And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, recorder.സെരൂയയുടെ മകനായ യോവാബ് സേനാധിപതി ആയിരുന്നു; അഹീലൂദിന്റെ മകനായ യെഹോശാഫാത്ത് മന്ത്രിയും

And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Shavsha was scribe;അഹീത്തൂബിന്റെ മകനായ സാദോക്കും അബ്യാഥാരിന്റെ മകനായ അഹീമേലെക്കും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശവ്ശാ രായസക്കാരനും

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief about the king.യെഹോയാദയുടെ മകനായ ബെനായാവു ക്രേത്യർക്കും പ്ളേത്യർക്കും അധിപതിയും ആയിരുന്നു; ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പ്രധാനപരിചാരകന്മാരായിരുന്നു.
