Matthew 15

Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,അനന്തരം യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു പരീശന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു:

Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ പൂർവ്വന്മാരുടെ സമ്പ്രദായം ലംഘിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? അവർ ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ കൈ കഴുകുന്നില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

But he answered and said unto them, Why do all of you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?അവൻ അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: “നിങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പ്രദായംകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവകല്പന ലംഘിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?

For God commanded, saying, Honour your father and mother: and, He that curses father or mother, let him die the death.അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും ബഹുമാനിക്ക എന്നും അപ്പനെയോ അമ്മയെയോ ദുഷിക്കുന്നവൻ മരിക്കേണം എന്നും ദൈവം കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

But all of you say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever you might be profited by me;നിങ്ങളോ ഒരുത്തൻ അപ്പനോടു എങ്കിലും അമ്മയോടു എങ്കിലും: നിനക്കു എന്നാൽ ഉപകാരമായി വരേണ്ടതു വഴിപാടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ

And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have all of you made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.അവൻ അപ്പനെ ബഹുമാനിക്കേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറയുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പ്രദായത്താൽ നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവവചനത്തെ ദുർബ്ബലമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

All of you hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,കപടഭക്തിക്കാരേ, നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു യെശയ്യാവു:

This people draws nigh unto me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.“ഈ ജനം അധരം കൊണ്ടു എന്നെ ബഹുമാനിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം എന്നെ വിട്ടു അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.മാനുഷകല്പനകളായ ഉപദേശങ്ങളെ അവർ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ വ്യർത്ഥമായി ഭജിക്കുന്നു” എന്നിങ്ങനെ പ്രവചിച്ചതു ഒത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:പിന്നെ അവൻ പുരുഷാരത്തെ അരികെ വിളിച്ചു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “കേട്ടു ഗ്രഹിച്ചു കൊൾവിൻ.

Not that which goes into the mouth defiles a man; but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.മനുഷ്യന്നു അശുദ്ധിവരുത്തുന്നതു വായിക്കകത്തു ചെല്ലുന്നതു അല്ല, വായിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്നതത്രേ; അതു മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു.”

Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Know you that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?അപ്പോൾ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അടുക്കെ വന്നു: പരീശന്മാർ ഈ വാക്കു കേട്ടു ഇടറിപ്പോയി എന്നു അറിയുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father has not planted, shall be rooted up.അതിന്നു അവൻ: “സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവു നട്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്ത തൈ ഒക്കെയും വേരോടെ പറിഞ്ഞുപോകും.

Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.അവരെ വിടുവിൻ; അവർ കുരുടന്മാരായ വഴികാട്ടികൾ അത്രേ; കുരുടൻ കുരുടനെ വഴിനടത്തിയാൽ ഇരുവരും കുഴിയിൽ വീഴും എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.പത്രൊസ് അവനോടു: ആ ഉപമ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തെളിയിച്ചുതരേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Jesus said, Are all of you also yet without understanding?അതിന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു: “നിങ്ങളും ഇന്നുവരെ ബോധമില്ലാത്തവരോ?

Do not all of you yet understand, that whatsoever enters in at the mouth goes into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?വായിക്കകത്തു കടക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം വയറ്റിൽ ചെന്നിട്ടു മറപ്പുരയിൽ പോകുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.വായിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്നതോ ഹൃദയത്തിൽനിന്നു വരുന്നു; അതു മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു.

For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:എങ്ങനെയെന്നാൽ ദുശ്ചിന്ത, കുലപാതകം, വ്യഭിചാരം, പരസംഗം, മോഷണം, കള്ളസാക്ഷ്യം, ദൂഷണം എന്നിവ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു.

These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashed hands defiles not a man.മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നതു ഇതത്രേ; കഴുകാത്ത കൈകൊണ്ടു ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നതോ മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നില്ല.”

Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.യേശു അവിടം വിട്ടു, സോർ സീദോൻ എന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലേക്കു വാങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, you son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.ആ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഒരു കനാന്യസ്ത്രീ വന്നു, അവനോടു: കർത്താവേ, ദാവീദ്പുത്രാ, എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ; എന്റെ മകൾക്കു ഭൂതോപദ്രവം കഠിനമായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she cries after us.അവൻ അവളോടു ഒരു വാക്കും ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞില്ല; അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അടുക്കെ, വന്നു: അവൾ നമ്മുടെ പിന്നാലെ നിലവിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു വരുന്നു; അവളെ പറഞ്ഞയക്കേണമേ എന്നു അവനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.അതിന്നു അവൻ: “യിസ്രായേൽ ഗൃഹത്തിലെ കാണാതെപോയ ആടുകളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കല്ലാതെ എന്നെ അയച്ചിട്ടില്ല” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.എന്നാൽ അവൾ വന്നു: കർത്താവേ, എന്നെ സഹായിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.അവനോ: “മക്കളുടെ അപ്പം എടുത്തു നായകൂട്ടികൾക്കു ഇട്ടുകൊടുക്കുന്നതു നന്നല്ല” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.അതിന്നു അവൾ: അതേ, കർത്താവേ, നായക്കുട്ടികളും ഉടയവരുടെ മേശയിൽ നിന്നു വീഴുന്ന നുറുക്കുകൾ തിന്നുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is your faith: be it unto you even as you will. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.യേശു അവളോടു: “സ്ത്രീയേ, നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം വലിയതു; നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ നിനക്കു ഭവിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. ആ നാഴികമുതൽ അവളുടെ മകൾക്കു സൌഖ്യം വന്നു.

And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.യേശു അവിടെ നിന്നു യാത്രയായി ഗലീലക്കടലരികെ ചെന്നു മലയിൽ കയറി അവിടെ ഇരുന്നു.

And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, physically disabled, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:വളരെ പുരുഷാരം മുടന്തർ, കുരുടർ, ഊമർ, കൂനർ മുതലായ പലരെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അവന്റെ കാൽക്കൽ വെച്ചു; അവൻ അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി;

Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the physically disabled to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.ഊമർ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതും കൂനർ സൌഖ്യമാകുന്നതും മുടന്തർ നടക്കുന്നതും കുരുടർ കാണുന്നതും പുരുഷാരം കണ്ടിട്ടു ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.

Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.എന്നാൽ യേശു തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അടുക്കെവിളിച്ചു: “ഈ പുരുഷാരം ഇപ്പോൾ മൂന്നു നാളായി എന്നോടുകൂടെ പാർക്കുന്നു; അവർക്കു ഭക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ഒന്നും ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു എനിക്കു മനസ്സലിവു തോന്നുന്നു; അവരെ പട്ടിണിയായി വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ മനസ്സുമില്ല; അവർ വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു തളർന്നുപോയേക്കും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And his disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: ഇത്ര വലിയ പുരുഷാരത്തിന്നു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തുവാൻ മതിയായ അപ്പം ഈ കാട്ടിൽ നമുക്കു എവിടെ നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Jesus says unto them, How many loaves have all of you? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.“നിങ്ങളുടെ പക്കൽ എത്ര അപ്പം ഉണ്ടു” എന്നു യേശു ചോദിച്ചു; ഏഴു; കുറെ ചെറുമീനും ഉണ്ടു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.അവൻ പുരുഷാരത്തോടു നിലത്തു ഇരിപ്പാൻ കല്പിച്ചു,

And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.ആ ഏഴു അപ്പവും മീനും എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി നുറുക്കി ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ പക്കലും ശിഷ്യന്മാർ പുരുഷാരത്തിന്നും കൊടുത്തു.

And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken food that was left seven baskets full.എല്ലാവരും തിന്നു തൃപ്തരായി; ശേഷിച്ച കഷണം അവർ ഏഴു വട്ടി നിറെച്ചെടുത്തു.

And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children.തിന്നവരോ സ്ത്രീകളെയും പൈതങ്ങളെയും കൂടാതെ നാലായിരം പുരുഷന്മാർ ആയിരുന്നു.

And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala.പിന്നെ പുരുഷാരത്തെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിട്ടു പടകിൽ കയറി മഗദാദേശത്തു എത്തി.

Matthew 16

The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would show them a sign from heaven.അനന്തരം പരീശന്മാരും സദൂക്യരും അടുക്കെ വന്നു: ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു ഒരു അടയാളം കാണിച്ചുതരേണമെന്നു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു ചോദിച്ചു.

He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, all of you say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.അവരോടു അവൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: “സന്ധ്യാസമയത്തു ആകാശം ചുവന്നുകണ്ടാൽ നല്ല തെളിവാകും എന്നും

And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O all of you hypocrites, all of you can discern the face of the sky; but can all of you not discern the signs of the times?രാവിലെ ആകാശം മൂടി ചുവന്നുകണ്ടാൽ ഇന്നു മഴക്കോൾ ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നും നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു. ആകാശത്തിന്റെ ഭാവം വിവേചിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു; എന്നാൽ കാല ലക്ഷണങ്ങളെ വിവേചിപ്പാൻ കഴികയില്ലയോ?

A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.ദോഷവും വ്യഭിചാരവുമുള്ള തലമുറ അടയാളം തിരയുന്നു; യോനയുടെ അടയാള മല്ലാതെ അതിന്നു അടയാളം ലഭിക്കയില്ല;” പിന്നെ അവൻ അവരെ വിട്ടു പോയി.

And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അക്കരെ പോകുമ്പോൾ അപ്പം എടുപ്പാൻ മറന്നുപോയി.

Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.എന്നാൽ യേശു അവരോടു: “നോക്കുവിൻ പരീശന്മാരുടെയും സദൂക്യരുടെയും പുളിച്ച മാവു സൂക്ഷിച്ചു കൊൾവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.”

And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.അപ്പം കൊണ്ടുപോരായ്കയാൽ ആയിരിക്കും എന്നു അവർ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O all of you of little faith, why reason all of you among yourselves, because all of you have brought no bread?അതു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു യേശു പറഞ്ഞതു: അല്പവിശ്വാസികളേ, അപ്പം കൊണ്ടുവരായ്കയാൽ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ പറയുന്നതു എന്തു?

Do all of you not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets all of you took up?ഇപ്പോഴും നിങ്ങൾ തിരിച്ചറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? അയ്യായിരം പേർക്കു അഞ്ചു അപ്പം കൊടുത്തിട്ടു എത്ര കൊട്ട എടുത്തു എന്നും

Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets all of you took up?നാലായിരം പേർക്കു ഏഴു അപ്പം കൊടുത്തിട്ടു എത്ര വട്ടി എടുത്തു എന്നും ഓർക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

How is it that all of you do not understand that I spoke it not to you concerning bread, that all of you should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?പരീശന്മാരുടെയും സദൂക്യരുടെയും പുളിച്ച മാവു സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു അപ്പത്തെക്കുറിച്ചല്ല എന്നു തിരിച്ചറിയാത്തതു എന്തു?

Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.അങ്ങനെ അപ്പത്തിന്റെ പുളിച്ച മാവല്ല, പരീശന്മാരുടെയും സദൂക്യരുടെയും ഉപദേശമത്രേ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾവാൻ ” അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു അവർ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?യേശു ഫിലിപ്പിന്റെ കൈസര്യയുടെ പ്രദേശത്തു എത്തിയശേഷം തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു: “ജനങ്ങൾ മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ ആർ എന്നു പറയുന്നു?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

And they said, Some say that you are John the Baptist: some, Elijah; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.ചിലർ യോഹന്നാൻ സ്നാപകൻ എന്നും മറ്റു ചിലർ ഏലീയാവെന്നും വേറെ ചിലർ യിരെമ്യാവോ പ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനോ എന്നും പറയുന്നു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

He says unto them, But whom say all of you that I am?“നിങ്ങളോ എന്നെ ആർ എന്നു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു അവൻ ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസ്:

And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.നീ ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പുത്രനായ ക്രിസ്തുഎന്നും ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but my Father which is in heaven.യേശു അവനോടു: “ബർയോനാശിമോനെ, നീ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ; ജഡരക്തങ്ങൾ അല്ല, സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവത്രെ നിനക്കു ഇതു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയതു.

And I say also unto you, That you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.നീ പത്രൊസ് ആകുന്നു; ഈ പാറമേൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ സഭയെ പണിയും; പാതാളഗോപുരങ്ങൾ അതിനെ ജയിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു.

And I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിന്റെ താക്കോൽ ഞാൻ നിനക്കു തരുന്നു; നീ ഭൂമിയിൽ കെട്ടുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കെട്ടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും; നീ ഭൂമിയിൽ അഴിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ അഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.പിന്നെ താൻ ക്രിസ്തു ആകുന്നു എന്നു ആരോടും പറയാതിരിപ്പാൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു കല്പിച്ചു.

From that time forth began Jesus to show unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.അന്നു മുതൽ യേശു താൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ ചെന്നിട്ടു, മൂപ്പന്മാർ, മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാർ, ശാസ്ത്രിമാർ എന്നിവരാൽ പലതും സഹിച്ചു കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയും മൂന്നാം നാൾ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കയും വേണ്ടതു എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.

Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from you, Lord: this shall not be unto you.പത്രൊസ് അവനെ വേറിട്ടു കൊണ്ടുപോയി: കർത്താവേ, അതു അരുതേ; നിനക്കു അങ്ങനെ ഭവിക്കരുതേ എന്നു ശാസിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി.

But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get you behind me, Satan: you are an offence unto me: for you savour not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.അവനോ തിരിഞ്ഞു പത്രൊസിനോടു; “സാത്താനേ, എന്നെ വിട്ടുപോ; നീ എനിക്കു ഇടർച്ചയാകുന്നു; നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റേതല്ല മനുഷ്യരുടേതത്രെ കരുതുന്നതു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.പിന്നെ യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “ഒരുത്തൻ എന്റെ പിന്നാലെ വരുവാൻ ഇച്ഛിച്ചാൽ തന്നെത്താൻ ത്യജിച്ചു, തന്റെ ക്രൂശു എടുത്തു എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്കട്ടെ.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.ആരെങ്കിലും തന്റെ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിച്ചാൽ അതിനെ കളയും; എന്റെ നിമിത്തം ആരെങ്കിലും തന്റെ ജീവനെ കളഞ്ഞാൽ അതിനെ കണ്ടെത്തും.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ സർവ്വലോകവും നേടീട്ടും തന്റെ ജീവനെ നഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്തിയാൽ അവന്നു എന്തു പ്രയോജനം? അല്ല, തന്റെ ജീവനെ വീണ്ടുകൊൾവാൻ മനുഷ്യൻ എന്തു മറുവില കൊടുക്കും?

Matthew 17

And after six days Jesus takes Peter, James, and John his brother, and brings them up into an high mountain apart,ആറു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം യേശു പത്രൊസിനെയും യാക്കോബിനെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരനായ യോഹന്നാനെയും കൂട്ടി തനിച്ചു ഒരു ഉയർന്ന മലയിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി,.

And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.അവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ രൂപാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു, അവന്റെ മുഖം സൂര്യനെപ്പോലെ ശോഭിച്ചു അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം വെളിച്ചം പോലെ വെള്ളയായി തീർന്നു.

And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elijah talking with him.മോശെയും ഏലിയാവും അവനോടു സംഭാഷിക്കുന്നതായി അവർ കണ്ടു.

Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if you will, let us make here three tabernacles; one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.അപ്പോൾ പത്രൊസ് യേശുവിനോടു: കർത്താവേ, നാം ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നന്നു; നിനക്കു സമ്മതമെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ മൂന്നു കുടിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കാം ഒന്നു നിനക്കും ഒന്നു മോശെക്കും ഒന്നു ഏലീയാവിന്നും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear all of you him.അവൻ പറയുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ പ്രകാശമുള്ളോരു മേഘം അവരുടെ മേൽ നിഴലിട്ടു; മേഘത്തിൽ നിന്നു: ഇവൻ എന്റെ പ്രീയ പുത്രൻ, ഇവങ്കൽ ഞാൻ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു; ഇവന്നു ചെവികൊടുപ്പിൻ എന്നു ഒരു ശബ്ദവും ഉണ്ടായി.

And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു ഏറ്റവും ഭയപ്പെട്ടു കവിണ്ണുവീണു.

And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.യേശു അടുത്തു ചെന്നു അവരെ തൊട്ടു: “എഴുന്നേല്പിൻ, ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.അവർ തലപൊക്കിയാറെ യേശുവിനെ മാത്രമല്ലാതെ ആരെയും കണ്ടില്ല.

And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.അവൻ മലയിൽ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ യേശു അവരോടു: “മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കുംവരെ ഈ ദർശനം ആരോടും പറയരുതു” എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elijah must first come?ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: എന്നാൽ ഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വരേണ്ടതു എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രിമാർ പറയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elijah truly shall first come, and restore all things.അതിന്നു അവൻ: “ഏലീയാവു വന്നു സകലവും യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കും സത്യം.

But I say unto you, That Elijah has come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.എന്നാൽ ഏലീയാവു വന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവർ അവനെ അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളാതെ തങ്ങൾക്കു തോന്നിയതു എല്ലാം അവനോടു ചെയ്തു. അവ്വണ്ണം മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്നും അവരാൽ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുവാനുണ്ടു” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

Then the disciples understood that he spoke unto them of John the Baptist.അവൻ യോഹന്നാൻ സ്നാപകനെക്കുറിച്ചു തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,അവർ പുരുഷാരത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നാറെ ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ വന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ മുട്ടുകുത്തി:

Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatic, and sore vexed: for frequently he falls into the fire, and often into the water.കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ മകനോടു കരുണയുണ്ടാകേണമേ; അവൻ ചന്ദ്രരോഗം പിടിച്ചു പലപ്പോഴും തീയിലും പലപ്പോഴും വെള്ളത്തിലും വീണു വല്ലാത്ത കഷ്ടത്തിലായ്പോകുന്നു.

And I brought him to your disciples, and they could not cure him.ഞാൻ അവനെ നിന്റെ ശീഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; എന്നാൽ സൌഖ്യം വരുത്തുവാൻ അവർക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him here to me.അതിന്നു യേശു: “അവിശ്വാസവും കോട്ടവുമുള്ള തലമുറയേ, എത്രത്തോളം ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും? എത്രത്തോളം നിങ്ങളെ സഹിക്കും? അവനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ ” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞഞു.

And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.യേശു ഭൂതത്തെ ശാസിച്ചു, അതു അവനെ വിട്ടുപോയി, ബാലന്നു ആ നാഴികമുതൽ സൌഖ്യംവന്നു.

Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?പിന്നെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ സ്വകാര്യമായി യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: ഞങ്ങൾക്കു അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കിക്കൂടാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If all of you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, all of you shall say unto this mountain, Remove behind to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.അവൻ അവരോടു: “നിങ്ങളുടെ അല്പവിശ്വാസം നിമിത്തമത്രേ;

Nevertheless this kind goes not out but by prayer and fasting.“നിങ്ങൾക്കു കടുകുമണിയോളം വിശ്വാസമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഈ മലയോടു: ഇവിടെ നിന്നു അങ്ങോട്ടു നീങ്ങുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അതു നീങ്ങും; നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഒന്നും അസാദ്ധ്യമാകയുമില്ല. (എങ്കിലും പ്രാർത്ഥനയാലും ഉപവാസത്താലുമല്ലാതെ ഈ ജാതി നീങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നില്ല) എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:അവർ ഗലീലയിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അവരോടു: “മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുവാറായിരിക്കുന്നു.

And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.അവർ അവനെ കൊല്ലുകയും മൂന്നാം നാൾ അവൻ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കയും ചെയ്യും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവരോ ഏറ്റവും ദുഃഖിച്ചു.

And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Does not your master pay tribute?അവർ കഫർന്നഹൂമിൽ എത്തിയാറെ ദ്വിദ്രഹ്മപ്പണം വാങ്ങുന്നവർ പത്രൊസിന്റെ അടക്കൽ വന്നു: നിങ്ങളുടെ ഗുരു ദ്വിദ്രഹ്മപ്പണം കൊടുക്കുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: ഉവ്വു എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

He says, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What think you, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?അവൻ വീട്ടിൽ വന്നപ്പോൾ യേശു അവനോടു: “ശിമോനേ, നിനക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു? ഭൂമിയിലെ രാജാക്കന്മാർ ചുങ്കമോ കരമോ ആരോടു വാങ്ങുന്നു? പുത്രന്മാരോടോ അന്യരോടോ” എന്നു മുന്നിട്ടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: അന്യരോടു എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

Peter says unto him, Of strangers. Jesus says unto him, Then are the children free.യേശു അവനോടു: “എന്നാൽ പുത്രന്മാർ ഒഴിവുള്ളവരല്ലോ.

Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go you to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first comes up; and when you have opened his mouth, you shall find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and you.എങ്കിലും നാം അവർക്കു ഇടർച്ച വരുത്താതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ കടലീലേക്കു ചെന്നു ചൂണ്ടൽ ഇട്ടു ആദ്യം കിട്ടുന്ന മീനിനെ എടുക്ക; അതിന്റെ വായ് തുറക്കുമ്പോൾ ഒരു ചതുർദ്രഹ്മപ്പണം കാണും; അതു എടുത്തു എനിക്കും നിനക്കും വേണ്ടി കൊടുക്ക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
