Jeremiah 16

The word of the LORD came also unto me, saying,യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

You shall not take you a wife, neither shall you have sons or daughters in this place.ഈ സ്ഥലത്തു നീ ഭാര്യയെ പരിഗ്രഹിക്കരുതു; നിനക്കു പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ഉണ്ടാകയും അരുതു.

For thus says the LORD concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that brings forth them in this land;ഈ സ്ഥലത്തു ജനിക്കുന്ന പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും കുറിച്ചും ഈ ദേശത്തു അവരെ പ്രസവിക്കുന്ന അമ്മമാരെക്കുറിച്ചും അവരെ ജനിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അപ്പന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചും യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു:

They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcasses shall be food for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.അവർ കൊടിയ വ്യാധികളാൽ മരിക്കും; ആരും അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു വിലാപം കഴിക്കയോ അവരെ കുഴിച്ചിടുകയോ ചെയ്യാതെ അവർ നിലത്തിന്നു വളമായി കിടക്കും; വാളാലും ക്ഷാമത്താലും അവർ മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; അവരുടെ ശവങ്ങൾ ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികൾക്കും കാട്ടിലെ മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കും ഇരയായിത്തീരും.

For thus says the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor lament for them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, says the LORD, even loving kindness and mercies.യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നീ ദുഃഖഭവനത്തിൽ ചെല്ലരുതു; വിലപിപ്പാൻ പോകരുതു; അവരോടു സഹതാപം കാണിക്കയും അരുതു; ഞാൻ എന്റെ സമാധാനവും ദയയും കരുണയും ഈ ജനത്തിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:വലിയവരും ചെറിയവരും ഈ ദേശത്തു മരിക്കും; ആരും അവരെ കുഴിച്ചിടുകയില്ല, അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു വിലാപം കഴിക്കയില്ല, അവരുടെ നിമിത്തം മുറിവേല്പിക്കയില്ല, മുൻകഷണ്ടിയുണ്ടാക്കുകയുമില്ല.

Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.മരിച്ചവനെക്കുറിച്ചു അവരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആരും വിലാപത്തിങ്കൽ അവർക്കു അപ്പം നുറുക്കിക്കൊടുക്കയില്ല; അപ്പനെച്ചൊല്ലിയോ അമ്മയെച്ചൊല്ലിയോ ആരും അവർക്കു ആശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ പാനപാത്രം കുടിപ്പാൻ കൊടുക്കയുമില്ല.

You shall not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.അവരോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു ഭക്ഷിപ്പാനും പാനം ചെയ്‍വാനും നീ വിരുന്നു വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോകരുതു.

For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of delight, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride.യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ കാൺകെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ നാളുകളിൽ ആനന്ദഘോഷവും സന്തോഷധ്വനിയും മണവാളന്റെ സ്വരവും മണവാട്ടിയുടെ സ്വരവും ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും.

And it shall come to pass, when you shall show this people all these words, and they shall say unto you, Wherefore has the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?നീ ഈ വചനങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും ഈ ജനത്തോടു അറിയിക്കുമ്പോഴും യഹോവ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വിരോധമായി ഈ വലിയ അനർത്ഥം ഒക്കെയും കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തു? ഞങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യം എന്തു? ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു ഞങ്ങൾ ചെയ്ത പാപം എന്തു എന്നു അവർ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുമ്പോഴും

Then shall you say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, says the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ എന്നെ ത്യജിച്ചു അന്യദേവന്മാരോടു ചേർന്നു അവരെ സേവിച്ചു നമസ്കരിക്കയും എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു എന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കാതെയിരിക്കയും ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു തന്നേ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

And all of you have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, all of you walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:നിങ്ങളോ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെക്കാൾ അധികം ദോഷം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തനും എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കാതെ താന്താന്റെ ദുഷ്ടഹൃദയത്തിലെ ശാഠ്യം അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നു.

Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that all of you know not, neither all of you nor your fathers; and there shall all of you serve other gods day and night; where I will not show you favour.അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഈ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും അറിയാത്ത ഒരു ദേശത്തേക്കു നീക്കിക്കളയും; അവിടെ നിങ്ങൾ രാവും പകലും അന്യദേവന്മാരെ സേവിക്കും; അവിടെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കൃപ കാണിക്കയുമില്ല.

Therefore, behold, the days come, says the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD lives, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;ആകയാൽ, യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയാണ എന്നു ഇനി പറയാതെ,

But, The LORD lives, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands where he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെ വടക്കെദേശത്തുനിന്നും താൻ അവരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരുന്ന സകലദേശങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയാണ എന്നു പറയുന്ന കാലം വരും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തിലേക്കു ഞാൻ അവരെ വീണ്ടും കൊണ്ടുവരും.

Behold, I will send for many fishers, says the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.ഇതാ, ഞാൻ അനേകം മീൻപിടിക്കാരെ വരുത്തും; അവർ അവരെ പിടിക്കും; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം ഞാൻ അനേകം നായാട്ടുകാരെ വരുത്തും; അവർ അവരെ എല്ലാമലയിലും നിന്നും എല്ലാ കുന്നിലും നിന്നും പാറപ്പിളർപ്പുകളിൽനിന്നും നായാടിപ്പിടിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.എന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി അവരുടെ എല്ലാവഴികളുടെയും മേൽ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ എനിക്കു മറഞ്ഞു കിടക്കുന്നില്ല; അവരുടെ അകൃത്യം എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു ഗുപ്തമായിരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable and abominable things.അവർ എന്റെ ദേശത്തെ തങ്ങളുടെ മ്ളേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളാൽ മലിനമാക്കി എന്റെ അവകാശത്തെ തങ്ങളുടെ അറെപ്പുകളെക്കൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചിരിക്കയാൽ, ഞാൻ ഒന്നാമതു അവരുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നും അവരുടെ പാപത്തിന്നും ഇരിട്ടിച്ചു പകരം ചെയ്യും.

O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto you from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.എന്റെ ബലവും എന്റെ കോട്ടയും കഷ്ടകാലത്തു എന്റെ ശരണവുമായ യഹോവേ, ജാതികൾ ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു അവകാശമായിരുന്നതു മിത്ഥ്യാമൂർത്തികളായ വെറും ഭോഷ്കു അത്രേ; അവയിൽ പ്രയോജനമുള്ളതു ഒന്നുമില്ല എന്നു പറയും.

Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?തനിക്കു ദേവന്മാരെ ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാൻ മനുഷ്യന്നു കഴിയുമോ? എന്നാൽ അവ ദേവന്മാരല്ല.

Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD.ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ ഈ പ്രാവശ്യം അവരെ ഒന്നു പഠിപ്പിക്കും; എന്റെ കയ്യും എന്റെ ബലവും ഞാൻ അവരെ ഒന്നു അനുഭവിപ്പിക്കും; എന്റെ നാമം യഹോവ എന്നു അവർ അറിയും.

Jeremiah 17

The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars;യെഹൂദയുടെ പാപം ഇരിമ്പെഴുത്താണികൊണ്ടും വജ്രത്തിന്റെ മുനകൊണ്ടും എഴുതിവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ പലകയിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ ബലിപീഠത്തിന്റെ കൊമ്പുകളിലും കൊത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Whilst their children remember their altars and their groves by the green trees upon the high hills.ഉയർന്ന കുന്നുകളിൽ പച്ചമരങ്ങൾക്കരികെയുള്ള അവരുടെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങളെയും അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠകളെയും അവരുടെ മക്കൾ ഓർക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

O my mountain in the field, I will give your substance and all your treasures to the spoil, and your high places for sin, throughout all your borders.വയൽപ്രദേശത്തിലെ എന്റെ പർവ്വതമേ. നിന്റെ അതിർക്കകത്തൊക്കെയും ചെയ്ത പാപംനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ നിന്റെ സമ്പത്തും സകലനിക്ഷേപങ്ങളും പൂജാഗിരികളും കവർച്ചെക്കു ഏല്പിക്കും.

And you, even yourself, shall discontinue from yours heritage that I gave you; and I will cause you to serve yours enemies in the land which you know not: for all of you have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.ഞാൻ നിനക്കു തന്ന അവകാശം നീ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകേണ്ടിവരും; നീ അറിയാത്ത ദേശത്തു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ സേവിക്കുമാറാക്കും നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ കോപത്തിൽ തീ കത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു എന്നേക്കും കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും;

Thus says the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the LORD.യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; മനുഷ്യനിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചു ജഡത്തെ തന്റെ ഭുജമാക്കി ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയെ വിട്ടുമാറുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ.

For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good comes; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.അവൻ മരുഭൂമിയിലെ ചൂരച്ചെടിപോലെയാകും; നന്മ വരുമ്പോൾ അതിനെ കാണാതെ മരുഭൂമിയിലെ വരണ്ട പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും നിവാസികൾ ഇല്ലാത്ത ഉവർനിലത്തിലും പാർക്കും.

Blessed is the man that trusts in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കയും യഹോവ തന്നേ ആശ്രയമായിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മനുഷ്യൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.

For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.അവൻ വെള്ളത്തിന്നരികെ നട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതും ആറ്റരികെ വേരൂന്നിയിരിക്കുന്നതുമായ വൃക്ഷംപോലെയാകും; ഉഷ്ണം തട്ടുമ്പോൾ അതു പേടിക്കയില്ല; അതിന്റെ ഇല പച്ചയായിരിക്കും; വരൾച്ചയുള്ള കാലത്തും വാട്ടം തട്ടാതെ ഫലം കായിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?ഹൃദയം എല്ലാറ്റിനെക്കാളും കപടവും വിഷമവുമുള്ളതു; അതു ആരാഞ്ഞറിയുന്നവൻ ആർ?

I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ ഹൃദയത്തെ ശോധനചെയ്തു അന്തരംഗങ്ങളെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു ഓരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പിന്നും പ്രവൃത്തിയുടെ ഫലത്തിന്നും തക്കവണ്ണം കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

As the partridge sits on eggs, and hatches them not; so he that gets riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.ന്യായമായിട്ടല്ലാതെ ധനം സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നവൻ, താൻ ഇടാത്ത മുട്ട പൊരുന്നിരിക്കുന്ന തിത്തിരിപ്പക്ഷിയെപ്പോലെയാകുന്നു; അവന്റെ മദ്ധ്യായുസ്സിങ്കൽ അതു അവനെ വിട്ടുപോകും: ഒടുക്കം അവൻ ഭോഷനായിരിക്കും.

A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary.ആദിമുതൽ ഉന്നതമായി മഹത്വമുള്ള സിംഹാസനമേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരസ്ഥാനമേ,

O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake you shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയായ യഹോവേ, നിന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ഏവരും ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകും, എന്നെ വിട്ടുപോകുന്നവരെ മണ്ണിൽ എഴുതിവെക്കും; അവർ ജീവനുള്ള വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ ഉറവായ യഹോവയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for you are my praise.യഹോവേ, എന്നെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കേണമേ, എന്നാൽ എനിക്കു സൌഖ്യം വരും; എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ, എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ രക്ഷപ്പെടും; നീ എന്റെ പുകഴ്ചയല്ലോ.

Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of the LORD? let it come now.അവർ എന്നോടു: യഹോവയുടെ വചനം എവിടെ? അതു വരട്ടെ എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

¹⁶

As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow you: neither have I desired the woeful day; you know: that which came out of my lips was right before you.ഞാനോ ഇടയനായി നിന്നെ സേവിപ്പാൻ മടിച്ചില്ല; ദുർദ്ദിനം ഞാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചതുമില്ല എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നു; എന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ ഉച്ചരിച്ചതു തിരുമുമ്പിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

Be not a terror unto me: you are my hope in the day of evil.നീ എനിക്കു ഭയങ്കരനാകരുതേ; അനർത്ഥദിവസത്തിൽ എന്റെ ശരണം നീയല്ലോ.

¹⁸

Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നവൻ ലജ്ജിച്ചു പോകട്ടെ; ഞാൻ ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകരുതേ; അവർ ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ; ഞാൻ ഭ്രമിച്ചു പോകരുതേ; അവർക്കു അനർത്ഥദിവസം വരുത്തി, അവരെ തകർത്തു തകർത്തു നശിപ്പിക്കേണമേ.

Thus said the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;യഹോവ എന്നോടു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു: നീ ചെന്നു, യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാർ അകത്തു വരികയും പുറത്തു പോകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ജനത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കലും യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ എല്ലാവാതിൽക്കലും നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു അവരോടു പറക:

And say unto them, Hear all of you the word of the LORD, all of you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:ഈ വാതിലുകളിൽകൂടി അകത്തു കടക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരും എല്ലായെഹൂദന്മാരും യെരൂശലേമിലെ സർവ്വനിവാസികളും ആയുള്ളോരേ, യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു കേൾപ്പിൻ!

Thus says the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ; ശബ്ബത്തുനാളിൽ യാതൊരു ചുമടും ചുമന്നു യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ വാതിലുകളിൽ കൂടി അകത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരരുതു.

Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do all of you any work, but hallow all of you the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.ശബ്ബത്തുനാളിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിൽനിന്നു യാതൊരു ചുമടും പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോകാതെയും യാതൊരു വേലയും ചെയ്യാതെയും ശബ്ബത്തുനാൾ വിശുദ്ധീകരിപ്പിൻ. നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ഞാൻ അങ്ങനെ കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലൊ.

But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.എന്നാൽ അവർ കേട്ടില്ല, ചെവി ചായിച്ചതുമില്ല; കേട്ടനുസരിക്കയോ ബുദ്ധ്യുപദേശം കൈക്കൊള്ളുകയോ ചെയ്യാതെ അവർ ശാഠ്യം കാണിച്ചു.

And it shall come to pass, if all of you diligently hearken unto me, says the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;നിങ്ങളോ ശബ്ബത്തുനാളിൽ ഈ നഗരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകളിൽകൂടി യാതൊരു ചുമടും കൊണ്ടുവരാതെയും ശബ്ബത്തുനാളിൽ യാതൊരു വേലയും ചെയ്യാതെയും അതിനെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ വാക്കു ജാഗ്രതയോടെ കേട്ടനുസരിക്കുമെങ്കിൽ

Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.ദാവീദിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവരും രഥങ്ങളിലും കുതിരപ്പുറത്തും കയറുന്നവരുമായ രാജാക്കന്മാരും രാജകുമാരന്മാരും അവരുടെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായ യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരും യെരൂശലേം നിവാസികളും ഈ നഗരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകളിൽകൂടി കടക്കയും ഈ നഗരം എന്നേക്കും നിൽക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the south, bringing burnt offerings, and sacrifices, and food offerings, and incense, and bringing sacrifices of praise, unto the house of the LORD.യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും യെരൂശലേമിന്നു ചുറ്റും ഉള്ള പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും ബെന്യാമീൻ ദേശത്തുനിന്നും താഴ്വീതിയിൽനിന്നും മലനാടുകളിൽനിന്നും തെക്കേ ദിക്കിൽനിന്നും അവർ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളും ഭോജനയാഗങ്ങളും കുന്തുരുക്കവും കൊണ്ടുവരും; യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ അവർ സ്തോത്രയാഗവും അർപ്പിക്കും.

But if all of you will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.എന്നാൽ ശബ്ബത്തുനാൾ വിശുദ്ധീകരിപ്പാനും ശബ്ബത്തുനാളിൽ യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ വാതിലുകളിൽകൂടി ചുമടു ചുമന്നു കൊണ്ടുപോകാതെ ഇരിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കയില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ അതിന്റെ വാതിലുകളിൽ തീ കൊളുത്തും; അതു കെട്ടുപോകാതെ യെരൂശലേമിലെ അരമനകളെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കും.

Jeremiah 18

The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,യഹോവയിങ്കൽനിന്നു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause you to hear my words.നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു കുശവന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുക; അവിടെവെച്ചു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ കേൾപ്പിക്കും.

Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ കുശവന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നപ്പോൾ അവൻ ചക്രത്തിന്മേൽ വേല ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

And the vessel that he made of clay was ruined in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.കുശവൻ കളിമണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ പാത്രം അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ചീത്തയായിപ്പോയി; എന്നാൽ കുശവൻ അതിനെ തനിക്കു തോന്നിയതുപോലെ മറ്റൊരു പാത്രമാക്കിത്തീർത്തു.

Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? says the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are all of you in mine hand, O house of Israel.യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, ഈ കുശവൻ ചെയ്തതുപോലെ എനിക്കു നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്‍വാൻ കഴികയില്ലയോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമേ, കളിമണ്ണു കുശവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;ഞാൻ ഒരു ജാതിയെക്കുറിച്ചോ രാജ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചോ അതിനെ പറിച്ചു ഇടിച്ചു നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടു

If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.ഞാൻ അങ്ങനെ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത ജാതി തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത വിട്ടു തിരിയുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അതിനോടു ചെയ്‍വാൻ നിരൂപിച്ച ദോഷത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ അനുതപിക്കും.

And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;ഒരു ജാതിയെക്കുറിച്ചോ രാജ്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചോ ഞാൻ അതിനെ പണികയും നടുകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടു

If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.അതു എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കാതെ എനിക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്യുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവർക്കു വരുത്തും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത നന്മയെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ അനുതപിക്കും.

Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus says the LORD; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return all of you now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.ആകയാൽ നീ ചെന്നു യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരോടും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളോടും പറയേണ്ടതു: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഒരനർത്ഥം നിർമ്മിച്ചു, നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിരോധമായി ഒരു നിരൂപണം നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തനും താന്താന്റെ ദുർമ്മാർഗ്ഗം വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങളുടെ നടപ്പും പ്രവൃത്തികളും നന്നാക്കുവിൻ.

And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.അതിന്നു അവർ: ഇതു വെറുതെ; ഞങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്ത നിരൂപണങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കും; ഞങ്ങളിൽ ഓരോരുത്തനും താന്താന്റെ ദുഷ്ടഹൃദയത്തിലെ ശാഠ്യം പ്രവർത്തിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Therefore thus says the LORD; Ask all of you now among the heathen, who has heard such things: the virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing.അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ചെന്നു അന്വേഷിപ്പിൻ; ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളതു ആരെങ്കിലും കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ? യിസ്രായേൽകന്യക അതിഭയങ്കരമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Will a man leave the snow of Lebanon which comes from the rock of the field? or shall the cold flowing waters that come from another place be forsaken?ലെബാനോനിലെ ഹിമം വയലിലെ പാറയെ വിട്ടുപോകുമോ? അന്യദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഒഴുകിവരുന്ന തണുത്ത വെള്ളം വറ്റിപ്പോകുമേ?

Because my people has forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a road not properly built;എന്റെ ജനമോ എന്നെ മറന്നു മിത്ഥ്യാമൂർത്തികൾക്കു, ധൂപം കാട്ടുന്നു; അവരുടെ വഴികളിൽ, പുരാതന പാതകളിൽ തന്നേ, അവർ അവരെ ഇടറി വീഴുമാറാക്കി; അവർ നിരപ്പില്ലാത്ത വഴികളിലും പാതകളിലും നടക്കുന്നു;

To make their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passes thereby shall be astonished, and shake his head.അവർ അവരുടെ ദേശത്തെ ശൂന്യവും നിത്യപരിഹാസവും ആക്കുന്നു; അതിൽകൂടി കടന്നു പോകുന്ന ഏവനും സ്തംഭിച്ചു തലകുലുക്കും.

I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy; I will show them the back, and not the face, in the day of their calamity.കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റുകൊണ്ടെന്നപോലെ ഞാൻ അവരെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ ചിതറിച്ചുകളയും; അവരുടെ അനർത്ഥദിവസത്തിൽ ഞാൻ അവർക്കു എന്റെ മുഖമല്ല, പുറമത്രേ കാണിക്കും.

Then said they, Come and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us strike him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.എന്നാൽ അവർ: വരുവിൻ, നമുക്കു യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ നേരെ ഉപായങ്ങളെ ചിന്തിക്കാം; പുരോഹിതന്റെ പക്കൽ ഉപദേശവും ജ്ഞാനിയുടെ പക്കൽ ആലോചനയും പ്രവാചകന്റെ പക്കൽ അരുളപ്പാടും ഇല്ലാതെപോകയില്ല; വരുവിൻ നാം അവനെ നാവുകൊണ്ടു കൊന്നുകളക; അവന്റെ വാക്കു ഒന്നും നാം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Give heed to me, O LORD, and hearken to the voice of them that contend with me.യഹോവേ, എനിക്കു ചെവിതന്നു എന്റെ പ്രതിയോഗികളുടെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കേണമേ.

Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have dug a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before you to speak good for them, and to turn away your wrath from them.നന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്യാമോ? അവർ എന്റെ പ്രാണഹാനിക്കായിട്ടു ഒരു കുഴി കുഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ കോപം അവരെ വിട്ടുമാറേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ അവർക്കുവേണ്ടി നന്മ സംസാരിപ്പാൻ തിരുമുമ്പിൽ നിന്നതു ഓർക്കേണമേ.

Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and pour out their blood by the force of the sword; and let their wives be bereaved of their children, and be widows; and let their men be put to death; let their young men be slain by the sword in battle.അവരുടെ മക്കളെ ക്ഷാമത്തിന്നു ഏല്പിച്ചു, വാളിന്നു ഇരയാക്കേണമേ; അവരുടെ ഭാര്യമാർ മക്കളില്ലാത്തവരും വിധവമാരും ആയിത്തീരട്ടെ അവരുടെ പുരുഷന്മാർ മരണത്തിന്നു ഇരയാകട്ടെ; അവരുടെ യൌവനക്കാർ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ വാളിനാൽ പട്ടുപോകട്ടെ.

Let a cry be heard from their houses, when you shall bring a troop suddenly upon them: for they have dug a pit to take me, and hid snares for my feet.നീ പെട്ടെന്നു ഒരു പടക്കൂട്ടത്തെ അവരുടെ മേൽ വരുത്തീട്ടു അവരുടെ വീടുകളിൽനിന്നു നിലവിളി കേൾക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ; അവർ എന്നെ പിടിപ്പാൻ ഒരു കുഴി കുഴിച്ചു, എന്റെ കാലിന്നു കണി മറെച്ചുവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Yet, LORD, you know all their counsel against me to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from your sight, but let them be overthrown before you; deal thus with them in the time of yours anger.യഹോവേ, എന്റെ മരണത്തിന്നായുള്ള അവരുടെ ആലോചനയൊക്കെയും നീ അറിയുന്നു; അവരുടെ അകൃത്യം ക്ഷമിക്കരുതേ; അവരുടെ പാപം നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു മായിച്ചുകളയരുതേ; അവർ തിരുമുമ്പിൽ ഇടറിവീഴട്ടെ; നിന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ കാലത്തു തന്നേ അവരോടു പ്രവർത്തിക്കേണമേ.
