Then said Solomon, The LORD has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.അപ്പോൾ ശലോമോൻ: താൻ കൂരിരുളിൽ വസിക്കുമെന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു;

But I have built an house of habitation for you, and a place for your dwelling for ever.എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ഒരു നിവാസാലയം, നിനക്കു എന്നേക്കും വസിപ്പാൻ ഒരു സ്ഥലം പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And the king turned his face, and blessed the whole congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel stood.പിന്നെ യിസ്രായേൽസഭ മുഴുവനും നിൽക്കെ രാജാവു തന്റെ മുഖം തിരിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സർവ്വസഭയേയും

And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who has with his hands fulfilled that which he spoke with his mouth to my father David, saying,അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു തിരുവായ് കൊണ്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ.

Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel:എന്റെ ജനത്തെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാൾമുതൽ എന്റെ നാമം ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാൻ ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകല ഗോത്രങ്ങളിലും ഒരു പട്ടണവും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തില്ല; എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു പ്രഭുവായിരിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ ഒരുത്തനെയും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തതുമില്ല.

But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.എങ്കിലും എന്റെ നാമം ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യെരൂശലേമിനെയും എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ വാഴുവാൻ ദാവീദിനെയും ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

Now it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയേണം എന്നു എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

But the LORD said to David my father, Forasmuch as it was in yours heart to build an house for my name, you did well in that it was in yours heart:എന്നാൽ യഹോവ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു: എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയേണമെന്നു നിനക്കു താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായല്ലോ; ഇങ്ങനെ താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായതു നല്ലതു;

Notwithstanding you shall not build the house; but your son which shall come forth out of your loins, he shall build the house for my name.എങ്കിലും ആലയം പണിയേണ്ടതു നീയല്ല; നിന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തുനിന്നുത്ഭവിക്കുന്ന മകൻ തന്നേ എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ആലയം പണിയും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

The LORD therefore has performed his word that he has spoken: for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built the house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ താൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം നിവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു പകരം ഞാൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു.

And in it have I put the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, that he made with the children of Israel.യഹോവ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമം ഉള്ള പെട്ടകം ഞാൻ അതിൽ വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു.

And he stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands:അനന്തരം അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിൻ മുമ്പിൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സർവ്വസഭയുടെയും സമക്ഷത്തു നിന്നുംകൊണ്ടു കൈ മലർത്തി;

For Solomon had made a brazen scaffold of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven.ശലോമോൻ അഞ്ചു മുഴം നീളവും അഞ്ചു മുഴം വീതിയും മൂന്നു മുഴം ഉയരവുമായിട്ടു താമ്രംകൊണ്ടു ഒരു പീഠം ഉണ്ടാക്കി പ്രാകാരത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ വെച്ചിരുന്നു; അതിൽ അവൻ കയറിനിന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സർവ്വസഭെക്കും മുമ്പാകെ മുട്ടുകുത്തി ആകാശത്തേക്കു കൈ മലർത്തി പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

And said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like you in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keep covenant, and show mercy unto your servants, that walk before you with all their hearts:യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാർക്കായി നിയമവും ദയയും പാലിക്കുന്നവനായ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും ഭൂമിയിലും ഒരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ല.

You which have kept with your servant David my father that which you have promised him; and spoke with your mouth, and have fulfilled it with yours hand, as it is this day.നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്നു ചെയ്ത വാഗ്ദാനം പാലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; തിരുവായ്കൊണ്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു ഇന്നു കാണുംപോലെ തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിവർത്തിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father that which you have promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that your children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as you have walked before me.ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസനോടു: നീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും എന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണപ്രകാരം നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ വഴി സൂക്ഷിക്കമാത്രം ചെയ്താൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിപ്പാൻ നിനക്കു ഒരു പുരുഷൻ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇല്ലാതെ വരികയില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നിവർത്തിക്കേണമേ.

Now then, O LORD God of Israel, let your word be verified, which you have spoken unto your servant David.യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോടു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം ഒത്തുവരുമാറാകട്ടെ.

But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain you; how much less this house which I have built!എന്നാൽ ദൈവം യഥാർത്ഥമായി ഭൂമിയിൽ മനുഷ്യരോടുകൂടെ വസിക്കുമോ? സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും സ്വർഗ്ഗാധിസ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും നീ അടങ്ങുകയില്ലല്ലോ; പിന്നെ ഞാൻ പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിൽ അടങ്ങുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

Have respect therefore to the prayer of your servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which your servant prays before you:എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അടിയൻ തിരുമുമ്പിൽ കഴിക്കുന്ന നിലവിളിയും പ്രാർത്ഥനയും കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടിയന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയിലേക്കും യാചനയിലേക്കും തിരിഞ്ഞു കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.

That yours eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place whereof you have said that you would put your name there; to hearken unto the prayer which your servant prays toward this place.അടിയൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു കഴിക്കുന്ന പ്രാർത്ഥന കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിക്കുമെന്നു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലമായ ഈ ആലയത്തിന്മേൽ രാവും പകലും തൃക്കൺപാർത്തരുളേണമേ.

Hearken therefore unto the supplications of your servant, and of your people Israel, which they shall make toward this place: hear you from your dwelling place, even from heaven; and when you hear, forgive.ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന അടിയന്റെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും യാചനകളെ കേൾക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു കേൾക്കേണമേ; കേട്ടുക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ.

If a man sin against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear, and the oath come before yours altar in this house;ഒരുത്തൻ തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു കുറ്റം ചെയ്കയും അവൻ അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കാര്യം സത്യത്തിന്നു വെക്കുകയും അവൻ ഈ ആലയത്തിൽ നിന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നു മുമ്പാകെ വന്നു സത്യം ചെയ്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

Then hear you from heaven, and do, and judge your servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness.നീ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു കേട്ടു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു ദുഷ്ടന്റെ നടപ്പു അവന്റെ തലമേൽതന്നേ വരുത്തി പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്‍വാനും നീതിമാന്റെ നീതിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന്നു നല്കി നീതീകരിപ്പാനും അടിയങ്ങൾക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുതരേണമേ.

And if your people Israel be put to the worse before the enemy, because they have sinned against you; and shall return and confess your name, and pray and make supplication before you in this house;നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേൽ നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്ക നിമിത്തം അവർ ശത്രുവിനോടു തോറ്റിട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്വീകരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടു ഈ ആലയത്തിൽവെച്ചു നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കയും യാചിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

Then hear you from the heavens, and forgive the sin of your people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which you gave to them and to their fathers.നീ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു നീ അവർക്കും അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കും കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു അവരെ തിരിച്ചു വരുത്തേണമേ.

²⁶

When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against you; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess your name, and turn from their sin, when you do afflict them;അവർ നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു ആകാശം അടെഞ്ഞു മഴ പെയ്യാതിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു നിന്റെ നാമം സ്വീകരിക്കയും നീ അവരെ താഴ്ത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുതിരികയും ചെയ്താൽ,

Then hear you from heaven, and forgive the sin of your servants, and of your people Israel, when you have taught them the good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon your land, which you have given unto your people for an inheritance.നീ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു അവർ നടക്കേണ്ടുന്ന നല്ലവഴി അവരെ ഉപദേശിക്കയും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു അവകാശമായി കൊടുത്ത നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു മഴപെയ്യിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണമേ.

If there be dearth in the land, if there be pestilence, if there be blasting, or mildew, locusts, or caterpillars; if their enemies besiege them in the cities of their land; whatsoever sore or whatsoever sickness there be:ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമമോ മഹാമാരിയോ വെൺകതിർ, വിഷമഞ്ഞു, വെട്ടുക്കിളി, തുള്ളൻ എന്നിവയോ ഉണ്ടായാൽ, അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾ അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളുള്ള ദേശത്തിൽ അവരെ നിരോധിച്ചാൽ, വല്ല വ്യാധിയോ വല്ല ദീനമോ ഉണ്ടായാൽ,

Then what prayer or what supplication whatsoever shall be made of any man, or of all your people Israel, when every one shall know his own sore and his own grief, and shall spread forth his hands in this house:യാതൊരുത്തനെങ്കിലും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേൽ മുഴുവനെങ്കിലും വല്ല പ്രാർത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കഴിക്കയും ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ വ്യാധിയും ദുഃഖവും അറിഞ്ഞു ഈ ആയലത്തിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു കൈ മലർത്തുകയും ചെയ്താൽ,

Then hear you from heaven your dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart you know; (for you only know the hearts of the children of men:)നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു കേട്ടു ക്ഷമിക്കയും

That they may fear you, to walk in your ways, so long as they live in the land which you gave unto our fathers.ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തു അവർ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും കാലത്തൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ വഴികളിൽ നടപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ഓരോരുത്തന്റെ ഹൃദയം അറിയുന്നതുപോലെ ഓരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും നല്കുകയും ചെയ്യേണമേ; നീ മാത്രമല്ലോ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ അറിയുന്നതു.

Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of your people Israel, but has come from a far country for your great name's sake, and your mighty hand, and your stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house;നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ഉള്ളവനല്ലാത്ത അന്യജാതിക്കാരൻ നിന്റെ മഹത്വമുള്ള നാമവും ബലമുള്ള കയ്യും നീട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഭുജവും ഹേതുവായി ദൂരദേശത്തുനിന്നു വന്നാൽ -- അവർ ഈ ആയലത്തിൽ വന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കും നിശ്ചയം--

Then hear you from the heavens, even from your dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calls to you for; that all people of the earth may know your name, and fear you, as does your people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by your name.നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു കേട്ടു ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലജാതികളും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേൽ എന്നപോലെ നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ അറിഞ്ഞു നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും ഞാൻ പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറികയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അന്യജാതിക്കാരൻ നിന്നോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തുകൊടുക്കേണമേ.

If your people go out to war against their enemies by the way that you shall send them, and they pray unto you toward this city which you have chosen, and the house which I have built for your name;നീ നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ അയക്കുന്ന വഴിയിൽ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്‍വാൻ പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ഈ നഗരത്തിലേക്കും ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിലേക്കും തിരിഞ്ഞു നിന്നോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചാൽ

Then hear you from the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.നീ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു അവരുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കേട്ടു അവർക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുകൊടുക്കേണമേ.

³⁶

If they sin against you, (for there is no man which sins not,) and you be angry with them, and deliver them over before their enemies, and they carry them away captives unto a land far off or near;അവർ നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്കയും - പാപം ചെയ്യാത്ത മനുഷ്യൻ ഇല്ലല്ലോ - നീ അവരോടു കോപിച്ചു അവരെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്കു ഏല്പിക്കയും അവർ അവരെ ദൂരത്തോ സമീപത്തോ ഉള്ള ദേശത്തേക്കു ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്താൽ

Yet if they call to reflect themselves in the land where they are carried captive, and turn and pray unto you in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done amiss, and have dealt wickedly;അവരെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഉണർന്നു പ്രവാസദേശത്തുവെച്ചു: ഞങ്ങൾ പാപംചെയ്തു അകൃത്യവും ദുഷ്ടതയും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു നിന്നോടു യാചിക്കയും

If they return to you with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, where they have carried them captives, and pray toward their land, which you gave unto their fathers, and toward the city which you have chosen, and toward the house which I have built for your name:അവരെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയ പ്രവാസദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അവർ പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ നിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു നീ അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്കും നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത നഗരത്തിലേക്കും ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിലേക്കും നോക്കി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

Then hear you from the heavens, even from your dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive your people which have sinned against you.നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു അവരുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയും യാചനകളും കേട്ടു അവർക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്ത നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ.

Now, my God, let, I plead to you, yours eyes be open, and let yours ears be attentive unto the prayer that is made in this place.ഇപ്പോഴും എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു കഴിക്കുന്ന പ്രാർത്ഥനെക്കു നിന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നും നിന്റെ ചെവി ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചും ഇരിക്കേണമേ.

Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength: let your priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let your saints rejoice in goodness.ആകയാൽ യഹോവയായ ദൈവമേ, നീയും നിന്റെ ബലത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകവും എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിന്റെ വിശ്രാമത്തിലേക്കു വരേണമേ; യഹോവയായ ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ രക്ഷാവസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കയും നിന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാർ നന്മയിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമാറാകട്ടെ.

O LORD God, turn not away the face of yours anointed: remember the mercies of David your servant.യഹോവയായ ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്റെ മുഖം ത്യജിച്ചുകളയരുതേ; നിന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോടുള്ള കൃപകളെ ഓർക്കേണമേ.

2 Chronicles 7

Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.ശലോമോൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു തീ ഇറങ്ങി ഹോമയാഗവും ഹനനയാഗവും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചു; യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സും ആലയത്തിൽ നിറഞ്ഞു.

And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD's house.യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ കടപ്പാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endures for ever.തീ ഇറങ്ങിയതും ആലയത്തിൽ യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളൊക്കെയും കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവർ കൽക്കളത്തിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു: അവൻ നല്ലവൻ അല്ലോ; അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കും ഉള്ളതു എന്നു ചൊല്ലി സ്തുതിച്ചു.

Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD.പിന്നെ രാജാവും സർവ്വജനവും യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ യാഗംകഴിച്ചു.

And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.ശലോമോൻ രാജാവു ഇരുപത്തീരായിരം കാളയെയും ഒരുലക്ഷത്തിരുപതിനായിരം ആടിനെയും യാഗം കഴിച്ചു; ഇങ്ങനെ രാജാവും സർവ്വജനവും ദൈവാലയത്തെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു.

And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of music of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endures for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.പുരോഹിതന്മാർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഉദ്യോഗം അനുസരിച്ചും ലേവ്യർ: അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കും ഉള്ളതു എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവർമുഖാന്തരം ദാവീദ് സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്ത സമയത്തു യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പാൻ ദാവീദ്‍രാജാവു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ യഹോവയുടെ വാദ്യങ്ങളോടുകൂടെയും നിന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽ ഒക്കെയും നിൽക്കേ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ കാഹളം ഊതി.

Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brazen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, and the food offerings, and the fat.ശലോമോൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരുന്ന താമ്രയാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ ഹോമയാഗം, ഭോജനയാഗം, മേദസ്സ് എന്നിവ കൊള്ളാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നു മുമ്പിലുള്ള പ്രാകാരത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യഭാഗം ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു, അവിടെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളുടെ മേദസ്സും അർപ്പിച്ചു.

Also at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt.ശലോമോനും ഹമാത്തിന്റെ അതിർമുതൽ മിസ്രയീംതോടുവരേയുള്ള എല്ലായിസ്രായേലും ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സഭയായി ആ സമയത്തു ഏഴു ദിവസം ഉത്സവം ആചരിച്ചു.

And in the eighth day they made a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.എട്ടാം ദിവസം അവർ വിശുദ്ധസഭായോഗംകൂടി; ഏഴു ദിവസം അവർ യാഗപീഠപ്രതിഷ്ഠ കൊണ്ടാടി, ഏഴു ദിവസം ഉത്സവവും ആചരിച്ചു.

And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the LORD had showed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.ഏഴാം മാസം ഇരുപത്തിമൂന്നാം തീയ്യതി അവൻ ജനത്തെ യഹോവ ദാവീദിന്നും ശലോമോന്നും തന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നും ചെയ്ത നന്മയെക്കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷവും ആനന്ദവും ഉള്ളവരായി അവരുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളിലേക്കു പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.ഇങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയവും രാജധാനിയും തീർത്തു; യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലും തന്റെ അരമനയിലും ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാൻ ശലോമോന്നു താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതൊക്കെയും അവൻ ശുഭമായി നിവർത്തിച്ചു.

And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.അതിന്റെശേഷം യഹോവ രാത്രിയിൽ ശലോമോന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി അവനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: ഞാൻ നിന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേട്ടു ഈ സ്ഥലം എനിക്കു യാഗത്തിന്നുള്ള ആലയമായിട്ടു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;മഴ പെയ്യാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ ആകാശം അടെക്കയോ ദേശത്തെ തിന്നു മുടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു വെട്ടുക്കിളിയോടു കല്പിക്കയോ എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ മഹാമാരി വരുത്തുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ,

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.എന്റെ നാമം വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ജനം തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ താഴ്ത്തി പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു എന്റെ മുഖം അന്വേഷിച്ചു തങ്ങളുടെ ദുർമ്മാർഗ്ഗങ്ങളെ വിട്ടു തിരിയുമെങ്കിൽ, ഞാൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു കേട്ടു അവരുടെ പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു അവരുടെ ദേശത്തിന്നു സൌഖ്യം വരുത്തിക്കൊടുക്കും.

Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attentive unto the prayer that is made in this place.ഈ സ്ഥലത്തു കഴിക്കുന്ന പ്രാർത്ഥനെക്കു എന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നിരിക്കയും എന്റെ ചെവി ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.എന്റെ നാമം ഈ ആലയത്തിൽ എന്നേക്കും ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ അതിനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയും എന്റെ ഹൃദയവും എല്ലായ്പോഴും ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കും.

And as for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and shall observe my statutes and my judgments;നീയോ നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ്,നടന്നതുപോലെ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കയും ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്കയും എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ,

Then will I establish the throne of your kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David your father, saying, There shall not fail you a man to be ruler in Israel.യിസ്രായേലിൽ വാഴുവാൻ നിനക്കു ഒരു പുരുഷൻ ഇല്ലാതെവരികയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ രാജാസനത്തെ സ്ഥിരമാക്കും.

But if all of you turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ തിരിഞ്ഞു, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളും ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും ചെന്നു അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ സേവിച്ചു നമസ്കരിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ,

Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.ഞാൻ അവർക്കു കൊടുത്ത എന്റെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു അവരെ പറിച്ചുകളയും; എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നായി ഞാൻ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തെയും ഞാൻ എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു സകലജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയിൽ ഒരു പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലും പരിഹാസവും ആക്കിത്തീർക്കും.

And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passes by it; so that he shall say, Why has the LORD done thus unto this land, and unto this house?ഈ ആലയം എത്ര ഉന്നതമായിരുന്നാലും കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ഏവനും അതിനെപ്പറ്റി സ്തംഭിച്ചു: യഹോവ ഈ ദേശത്തിന്നും ഈ ആലയത്തിന്നും ഇങ്ങനെ വരുത്തുവാൻ സംഗതി എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിക്കും.

And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore has he brought all this evil upon them.അതിന്നു അവർ: തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അവർ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും അന്യദൈവങ്ങളോടു ചേർന്നു അവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു സേവിക്കയും ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടാകുന്നു അവൻ ഈ അനർത്ഥമൊക്കെയും അവർക്കു വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയും.

2 Chronicles 8

And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Solomon had built the house of the LORD, and his own house,ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയവും തന്റെ അരമനയും ഇരുപതു സംവത്സരം കൊണ്ടു പണിതശേഷം

That the cities which Huram had restored to Solomon, Solomon built them, and caused the children of Israel to dwell there.ഹൂരാം ശലോമോന്നു കൊടുത്ത പട്ടണങ്ങളെ ശലോമോൻ പണിതുറപ്പിച്ചു അവിടെ യിസ്രായേല്യരെ പാർപ്പിച്ചു.

And Solomon went to Hamathzobah, and prevailed against it.അനന്തരം ശലോമോൻ ഹമാത്ത്-സോബയിലേക്കു പോയി അതിനെ ജയിച്ചു;

And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Hamath.അവൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ തദ്മോരും ഹമാത്തിൽ അവൻ പണിതിരുന്ന സംഭാരനഗരങ്ങളുമെല്ലാം ഉറപ്പിച്ചു.

Also he built Bethhoron the upper, and Bethhoron the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;അവൻ മേലത്തെ ബേത്ത്-ഹോരോനും താഴത്തെ ബേത്ത്-ഹോരോനും മതിലുകളോടും വാതിലുകളോടും ഓടാമ്പലുകളോടും കൂടിയ ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളായും

And Baalath, and all the store cities that Solomon had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.ബാലാത്തും ശലോമോന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്ന സകല സംഭാരനഗരങ്ങളും സകലരഥനഗരങ്ങളും കുതിരച്ചേവകർക്കുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളും യെരൂശലേമിലും ലെബാനോനിലും തന്റെ രാജ്യത്തു എല്ലാടവും പണിവാൻ ശലോമോൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചതൊക്കെയും പണിതു.

As for all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,ഹിത്യർ, അമോർയ്യർ, പെരിസ്യർ, ഹിവ്യർ, യെബൂസ്യർ എന്നിങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടാത്ത ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള സകലജനത്തെയും

But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.യിസ്രായേല്യർ സംഹരിക്കാതെ പിന്നീടും ദേശത്തു ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്ന അവരുടെ മക്കളെയും ശലോമോൻ ഇന്നുവരെയും ഊഴിയവേലക്കാരാക്കി.

But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work; but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.യിസ്രായേല്യരിൽനിന്നോ ശലോമോൻ ആരെയും തന്റെ വേലകൂ ദാസന്മാരാക്കിയില്ല; അവർ യോദ്ധാക്കളും അവന്റെ സേനാനായകശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരും രഥങ്ങൾക്കും കുതിരച്ചേവകർക്കും അധിപന്മാരും ആയിരുന്നു.

And these were the chief of king Solomon's officers, even two hundred and fifty, that bare rule over the people.ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിന്റെ പ്രധാന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്മാരും ജനത്തിന്റെ മേൽവിചാരകന്മാരുമായ ഇവർ ഇരുനൂറ്റമ്പതുപേർ ആയിരുന്നു.

And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, unto which the ark of the LORD has come.ശലോമോൻ ഫറവോന്റെ മകളെ ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽനിന്നു താൻ അവൾക്കു വേണ്ടി പണിത അരമനയിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി പാർപ്പിച്ചു; യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ ദാവീദിന്റെ അരമനയിൽ എന്റെ ഭാര്യ പാർക്കരുതു; യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം അവിടെ വന്നിരിക്കയാൽ അതു വിശുദ്ധമല്ലോ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

Then Solomon offered burnt offerings unto the LORD on the altar of the LORD, which he had built before the porch,ശലോമോൻ താൻ മണ്ഡപത്തിന്നു മുമ്പിൽ പണിത യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ

Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.അതതു ദിവസത്തേക്കു വേണ്ടിയിരുന്നതു പോലെ മോശെയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം ശബ്ബത്തുകളിലും അമാവാസ്യകളിലും ഉത്സവങ്ങളിലും പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ ഉത്സവത്തിൽ, വാരോത്സവത്തിൽ, കൂടാരങ്ങളുടെ ഉത്സവത്തിൽ ഇങ്ങനെ ആണ്ടിൽ മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യവും യഹോവെക്കു ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളെ കഴിച്ചുപോന്നു.

And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded.അവൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ നിയമപ്രകാരം പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ കൂറുകളെ അവരുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കും അതതു ദിവസം വേണ്ടിയിരുന്നതുപോലെ സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്‍വാനും പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ ശുശ്രൂഷിപ്പാനും ലേവ്യരെ അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കും വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാരെ അവരുടെ കൂറുകൾക്കൊത്തവണ്ണം അതതു വാതിലിന്നു നിയമിച്ചു; ഇങ്ങനെയായിരുന്നു ദൈവപുരുഷനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ കല്പന.

And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.യാതൊരു കാര്യത്തിലും ഭണ്ഡാരത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ചും പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടും ലേവ്യരോടും ഉണ്ടായ രാജകല്പന അവർ വിട്ടുമാറിയില്ല.

Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the LORD, and until it was finished. So the house of the LORD was perfected.യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നു അടിസ്ഥാനമിട്ടനാൾമുതൽ അതു തീരുംവരെ ശലോമോന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി ഒക്കെയും സാദ്ധ്യമായ്‍വന്നു; അങ്ങനെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം പണിതുതീർന്നു.

Then went Solomon to Eziongeber, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.ആ കാലത്തും ശലോമോൻ എദോംദേശത്തു കടൽക്കരയിലുള്ള എസ്യോൻ-ഗേബെരിലേക്കും ഏലോത്തിലേക്കും പോയി.

And Huram sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Solomon to Ophir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought them to king Solomon.ഹൂരാം തന്റെ ദാസന്മാർമുഖാന്തരം കപ്പലുകളെയും സമുദ്രപരിചയമുള്ള ആളുകളെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു; അവർ ശലോമോന്റെ ദാസന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ഓഫീരിലേക്കു ചെന്നു നാനൂറ്റമ്പതു താലന്ത് പൊന്നു വാങ്ങി ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great company, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.ശെബാരാജ്ഞി ശലോമോന്റെ കീർത്തികേട്ടിട്ടു കടമൊഴികളാൽ ശലോമോനെ പരീക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിമഹത്തായ പരിവാരത്തോടും സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗവും അനവധി പൊന്നും രത്നവും ചുമന്ന ഒട്ടകങ്ങളോടും കൂടെ യെരൂശലേമിൽ വന്നു; അവൾ ശലോമോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നശേഷം തന്റെ മനോരഥം ഒക്കെയും അവനോടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു.

And Solomon told her all her questions: and there was nothing hid from Solomon which he told her not.അവളുടെ സകലചോദ്യങ്ങൾക്കും ശലോമോൻ സമാധാനം പറഞ്ഞു; സമാധാനം പറവാൻ കഴിയാതെ ഒന്നും ശലോമോന്നു മറപൊരുളായിരുന്നില്ല.

And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,ശെബാരാജ്ഞി ശലോമോന്റെ ജ്ഞാനവും അവൻ പണിത അരമനയും

And the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearers also, and their apparel; and his ascent by which he went up into the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.അവന്റെ മേശയിലെ ഭക്ഷണവും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെ ഇരിപ്പും അവന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷകന്മാരുടെ നിലയും അവരുടെ ഉടുപ്പും അവന്റെ പാനപാത്രവാഹകന്മാരെയും അവരുടെ ഉടുപ്പിനെയും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കുള്ള അവന്റെ എഴുന്നെള്ളത്തും കണ്ടിട്ടു അമ്പരന്നുപോയി.

And she said to the king, It was a true report which I heard in mine own land of yours acts, and of your wisdom:അവൾ രാജാവിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: നിന്റെ കാര്യങ്ങളെയും ജ്ഞാനത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു കേട്ട വർത്തമാനം സത്യംതന്നേ;

Nevertheless I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of your wisdom was not told me: for you exceed the fame that I heard.ഞാൻ വന്നു സ്വന്തകണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു കാണുംവരെ ആ വർത്തമാനം വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല; എന്നാൽ നിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനമാഹാത്മ്യത്തിന്റെ പാതിപോലും ഞാൻ അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല, ഞാൻ കേട്ട കേൾവിയെക്കാൾ നീ ശ്രേഷ്ഠനാകുന്നു.

Happy are your men, and happy are these your servants, which stand continually before you, and hear your wisdom.നിന്റെ ഭാര്യമാർ ഭാഗ്യവതികൾ; നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ എല്ലായ്പോഴും നിന്നു നിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം കേൾക്കുന്ന ഈ നിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരും ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.

Blessed be the LORD your God, which delighted in you to set you on his throne, to be king for the LORD your God: because your God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he you king over them, to do judgment and justice.നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു വേണ്ടി രാജാവായിട്ടു തന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ നിന്നെ ഇരുത്തുവാൻ നിന്നിൽ പ്രസാദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ; നിന്റെ ദൈവം യിസ്രായേലിനെ എന്നേക്കും നിലനില്ക്കുമാറാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരെ സ്നേഹിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു നീതിയും ന്യായവും നടത്തുവാൻ നിന്നെ അവർക്കു രാജാവാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave king Solomon.അവൾ രാജാവിന്നു നൂറ്റിരുപതു താലന്തു പൊന്നും അനവധി സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗവും രത്നവും കൊടുത്തു; ശെബാരാജ്ഞി ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിന്നു കൊടുത്തതുപോലെയുള്ള സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗം പിന്നെ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല.

And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, which brought gold from Ophir, brought algum trees and precious stones.ഓഫീരിൽനിന്നു പൊന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ഹൂരാമിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരും ശലോമോന്റെ ദാസന്മാരും ചന്ദനവും രത്നവും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And the king made of the algum trees terraces to the house of the LORD, and to the king's palace, and harps and psalteries for singers: and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah.രാജാവു ചന്ദനമരംകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നും രാജധാനിക്കും അഴികളും സംഗീതക്കാർക്കു കിന്നരങ്ങളും വീണകളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; ഈ വക പണ്ടു യെഹൂദാദേശത്തു അശേഷം കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.

And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which she had brought unto the king. So she turned, and went away to her own land, she and her servants.ശെബാരാജ്ഞി രാജാവിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നതിൽ പരമായി അവൾ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചതും ചോദിച്ചതുമൊക്കെയും ശലോമോൻ രാജാവു അവൾക്കു കൊടുത്തു; അങ്ങനെ അവൾ തന്റെ ബൃത്യന്മാരുമായി സ്വദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold;സഞ്ചാരവ്യാപാരികളും കച്ചവടക്കാരും കൊണ്ടുവന്നതു കൂടാതെ ശലോമോന്നു ഓരോ ആണ്ടിൽ വന്നിരുന്ന പൊന്നിന്റെ തൂക്കം അറുനൂറ്ററുപത്താറു താലന്തു ആയിരുന്നു.

Beside that which chapmen and merchants brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.അരാബ്യരാജാക്കന്മാരൊക്കെയും ദേശാധിപതിമാരും ശലോമോന്നു പൊന്നും വെള്ളിയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of beaten gold went to one target.ശലോമോൻ രാജാവു പൊമ്പലകകൊണ്ടു ഇരുനൂറു വൻ പരിച ഉണ്ടാക്കി; ഓരോപരിചെക്കു അറുനൂറു ശേക്കെൽ പൊൻ പലക ചെലവായി.

And three hundred shields made he of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold went to one shield. And the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.അവൻ പൊൻ പലക കൊണ്ടു മുന്നൂറു ചെറുപരിചയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; ഓരോ ചെറുപരിചെക്കു മുന്നൂറു ശേക്കെൽ പൊന്നു ചെലവായി. രാജാവു അവയെ ലെബാനോൻ വനഗൃഹത്തിൽവെച്ചു.

Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.രാജാവു ദന്തംകൊണ്ടു ഒരു വലിയ സിംഹാസനം ഉണ്ടാക്കി തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

And there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on each side of the sitting place, and two lions standing by the stays:സിംഹാസനത്തോടു ചേർത്തുറപ്പിച്ചതായി ആറു പതനവും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു പാദപീഠവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഇരിപ്പിടത്തിന്റെ ഇരുഭാഗത്തും ഓരോ കൈത്താങ്ങലും കൈത്താങ്ങലിന്നരികെ നില്ക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു സിംഹവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps. There was not the like made in any kingdom.ആറു പതനത്തിൽ ഇപ്പുറത്തും അപ്പുറത്തുമായി പന്ത്രണ്ടു സിംഹം നിന്നിരുന്നു. ഒരു രാജ്യത്തും ഇങ്ങനെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: none were of silver; it was not any thing accounted of in the days of Solomon.ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിന്റെ സകലപാനപാത്രങ്ങളും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടും ലെബാനോൻ ഗൃഹത്തിലെ ഉപകരണങ്ങളൊക്കെയും തങ്കംകൊണ്ടും ആയിരുന്നു; വെള്ളിക്കു ശലോമോന്റെ കാലത്തു വിലയില്ലായിരുന്നു.

For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.രാജാവിന്റെ കപ്പലുകളെ ഹൂരാമിന്റെ ദാസന്മരോടുകൂടെ തർശീശിലേക്കു അയച്ചിരുന്നു; മൂവാണ്ടിലൊരിക്കൽ തർശീശ് കപ്പലുകൾ പൊന്നു, വെള്ളി, ആനക്കൊമ്പു, കുരങ്ങു, മയിൽ എന്നിവയെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And king Solomon passed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.ഇങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ രാജാവു ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലരാജാക്കന്മാരിലുംവെച്ചു ധനംകൊണ്ടും ജ്ഞാനംകൊണ്ടും മികെച്ചവനായിരുന്നു.

And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart.ദൈവം ശലോമോന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ കൊടുത്ത ജ്ഞാനം കേൾപ്പാൻ ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലരാജാക്കന്മാരും അവന്റെ മുഖദർശനം അന്വേഷിച്ചുവന്നു.

And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, harness, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.അവരിൽ ഓരോരുത്തനും ആണ്ടുതോറും താന്താന്റെ കാഴ്ചയായിട്ടു വെള്ളിപ്പാത്രം, പൊൻ പാത്രം, വസ്ത്രം, ആയുധം, സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗം, കുതിര, കോവർ കഴുത എന്നിവയെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen; whom he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.ശലോമോന്നു കുതിരകൾക്കും രഥങ്ങൾക്കും നാലായിരം ലായവും പന്തീരായിരം കുതിരച്ചേവകരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവരെ അവൻ രഥനഗരങ്ങളിലും യെരൂശലേമിൽ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കലും പാർപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.

And he reigned over all the kings from the river even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.അവൻ നദി മുതൽ ഫെലിസ്ത്യദേശംവരെയും മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ അതൃത്തിവരെയും ഉള്ള സകലരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെമേലും വാണു.

And the king made silver in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the low plains in abundance.രാജാവു യെരൂശലേമിൽ വെള്ളിയെ പെരുപ്പംകൊണ്ടു കല്ലുപോലെയും ദേവദാരുവിനെ താഴ്വീതിയിലെ കാട്ടത്തിമരംപോലെയും ആക്കി.

And they brought unto Solomon horses out of Egypt, and out of all lands.മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നും സകലദേശങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും ശലോമോന്നു കുതിരകളെ വാങ്ങി കൊണ്ടുവരും.

Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer against Jeroboam the son of Nebat?ശലോമോന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങൾ ആദ്യാവസാനം നാഥാൻ പ്രവാചകന്റെ വൃത്താന്തത്തിലും ശീലോന്യനായ അഹീയാവിന്റെ പ്രവാചകത്തിലും നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിനെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള ഇദ്ദോ ദർശകന്റെ ദർശനങ്ങളിലും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.ശലോമോൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്നും നാല്പതു സംവത്സരം രാജാവായിരുന്നു.

And Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his position.പിന്നെ ശലോമോൻ തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; അവനെ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകനായ രെഹബെയാം അവന്നു പകരം രാജാവായി.
