Matthew 18

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?ആ നാഴികയിൽ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കെ വന്നു. സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും വലിയവൻ ആർ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,അവൻ ഒരു ശിശുവിനെ അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചു അവരുടെ നടുവിൽ നിറുത്തി;

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except all of you be converted, and become as little children, all of you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.“നിങ്ങൾ തിരിഞ്ഞു ശിശുക്കളെപ്പോലെ ആയ്‍വരുന്നില്ല എങ്കിൽ സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിൽ കടക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.ആകയാൽ ഈ ശിശുവിനെപ്പോലെ തന്നെത്താൻ താഴ്ത്തുന്നവൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും വലിയവൻ ആകുന്നു.

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receives me.ഇങ്ങിനെയുള്ള ശിശുവിനെ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ കൈകൊള്ളുന്നവൻ എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു.

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.എന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഈ ചെറിയവരിൽ ഒരുത്തന്നു ആരെങ്കിലും ഇടർച്ച വരുത്തിയാലോ അവന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ വലിയോരു തിരിക്കല്ലു കെട്ടി അവനെ സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ ആഴത്തിൽ താഴ്ത്തിക്കളയുന്നതു അവന്നു നന്നു.

Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must essentially be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence comes!ഇടർച്ച ഹേതുവായി ലോകത്തിന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം; ഇടർച്ച വരുന്നതു ആവശ്യം തന്നേ; എങ്കിലും ഇടർച്ച വരുത്തുന്ന മനുഷ്യന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം.

Wherefore if your hand or your foot offend you, cut them off, and cast them from you: it is better for you to enter into life halt or physically disabled, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.നിന്റെ കയ്യോ കാലോ നിനക്കു ഇടർച്ച ആയാൽ അതിനെ വെട്ടി എറിഞ്ഞുകളക; രണ്ടു കയ്യും രണ്ടു കാലും ഉള്ളവനായി നിത്യാഗ്നിയിൽ വീഴുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ അംഗഹീനനായിട്ടോ മുടന്തനായിട്ടോ ജീവനിൽ കടക്കുന്നതു നിനക്കു നന്നു.

And if yours eye offend you, pluck it out, and cast it from you: it is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.നിന്റെ കണ്ണു നിനക്കു ഇടർച്ച ആയാൽ അതിനെ ചൂന്നെടുത്തു എറിഞ്ഞുകളക; രണ്ടു കണ്ണുള്ളവനായി അഗ്നിനരകത്തിൽ വീഴുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ ഒറ്റക്കണ്ണനായി ജീവനിൽ കടക്കുന്നതു നിനക്കു നന്നു.

Take heed that all of you despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.ഈ ചെറിയവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനെ തുച്ഛീകരിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.

For the Son of man has come to save that which was lost.സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ അവരുടെ ദൂതന്മാർ സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ മുഖം എപ്പോഴും കാണുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

How think all of you? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, does he not leave the ninety and nine, and goes into the mountains, and seeks that which is gone astray?നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു? ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്നു നൂറു ആടു ഉണ്ടു എന്നിരിക്കട്ടെ; അവയിൽ ഒന്നു തെറ്റി ഉഴന്നുപോയാൽ തൊണ്ണൂറ്റൊമ്പതിനെയും വിട്ടേച്ചു തെറ്റിപ്പോയതിനെ മലകളിൽ ചെന്നു തിരയുന്നില്ലയോ?

And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoices more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.അതിനെ കണ്ടെത്തിയാൽ തെറ്റിപ്പോകാത്ത തൊണ്ണൂറ്റമ്പതിലും അധികം അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.അങ്ങനെതന്നേ ഈ ചെറിയവരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നതു സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവിന്നു ഇഷ്ടമല്ല.

Moreover if your brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone: if he shall hear you, you have gained your brother.നിന്റെ സഹോദരൻ നിന്നോടു പിഴെച്ചാൽ നീ ചെന്നു നീയും അവനും മാത്രം ഉള്ളപ്പോൾ കുറ്റം അവന്നു ബോധം വരുത്തുക; അവൻ നിന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടാൽ നീ സഹോദരനെ നേടി.

But if he will not hear you, then take with you one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.കേൾക്കാഞ്ഞാലോ രണ്ടു മൂന്നു സാക്ഷികളുടെ വായാൽ സകല കാര്യവും ഉറപ്പാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒന്നു രണ്ടു പേരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ചെല്ലുക.

And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto you as an heathen man and a publican.അവരെ കൂട്ടാക്കാഞ്ഞാൽ സഭയോടു അറിയിക്ക; സഭയെയും കൂട്ടാക്കാഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ നിനക്കു പുറജാതിക്കാരനും ചുങ്കക്കാരനും എന്നപോലെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ.

Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever all of you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever all of you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.നിങ്ങൾ ഭൂമിയിൽ കെട്ടുന്നതെല്ലാം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും കെട്ടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ ഭൂമിയിൽ അഴിക്കുന്നതെല്ലാം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും അഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as concerning any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.ഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ചു നിങ്ങളിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ യാചിക്കുന്ന ഏതു കാര്യത്തിലും ഐകമത്യപ്പെട്ടാൽ അതു സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവിങ്കൽ നിന്നു അവർക്കു ലഭിക്കും;

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.രണ്ടോ മൂന്നോ പേർ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ കൂടിവരുന്നേടത്തൊക്കയും ഞാൻ അവരുടെ നടുവിൽ ഉണ്ടു എന്നും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.”

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?അപ്പോൾ പത്രൊസ് അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: കർത്താവേ, സഹോദരൻ എത്രവട്ടം എന്നോടു പിഴെച്ചാൽ ഞാൻ ക്ഷമിക്കേണം?

Jesus says unto him, I say not unto you, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.ഏഴുവട്ടം മതിയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. യേശു അവനോടു: “ഏഴുവട്ടമല്ല, എഴു എഴുപതു വട്ടം എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.“സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം തന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുമായി കണക്കു തീർപ്പാൻ ഭാവിക്കുന്ന ഒരു രാജാവിനോടു സദൃശം.

And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.അവൻ കണക്കു നോക്കിത്തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ പതിനായിരം താലന്തു കടമ്പെട്ട ഒരുത്തനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടു വന്നു.

But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.അവന്നു വീട്ടുവാൻ വകയില്ലായ്കയാൽ അവന്റെ യജമാനൻ അവനെയും ഭാര്യയെയും മക്കളെയും അവന്നുള്ളതൊക്കെയും വിറ്റു കടം തീർപ്പാൻ കല്പിച്ചു.

The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.അതു കൊണ്ടു ആ ദാസൻ വീണു അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു: യജമാനനേ എന്നോടു ക്ഷമ തോന്നേണമേ; ഞാൻ സകലവും തന്നു തീർക്കാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.അപ്പോൾ ആ ദാസന്റെ യജമാനൻ മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു അവനെ വിട്ടയച്ചു കടവും ഇളെച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that you owe.ആ ദാസൻ പോകുമ്പോൾ തനിക്കു നൂറു വെള്ളിക്കാശു കടമ്പെട്ട ഒരു കൂട്ടുദാസനെ കണ്ടു തൊണ്ടെക്കു പിടിച്ചു ഞെക്കി: നിന്റെ കടം തീർക്കുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And his fellow servant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.അവന്റെ കൂട്ടുദാസൻ: എന്നോടു ക്ഷമ തോന്നേണമേ; ഞാൻ തന്നു തീർക്കാം എന്നു അവനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ച.

And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.എന്നാൽ അവൻ മനസ്സില്ലാതെ ഉടനെ ചെന്നു കടം വീട്ടുവോളം അവനെ തടവിൽ ആക്കിച്ചു.

So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.ഈ സംഭവിച്ചതു അവന്റെ കൂട്ടുദാസന്മാർ കണ്ടിട്ടു വളരെ ദുഃഖിച്ചു, ചെന്നു സംഭവിച്ചതു ഒക്കെയും യജമാനനെ ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O you wicked servant, I forgave you all that debt, because you desired me:യജമാനൻ അവനെ വിളിച്ചു: ദുഷ്ടദാസനേ, നീ എന്നോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കയാൽ ഞാൻ ആ കടം ഒക്കെയും ഇളെച്ചുതന്നുവല്ലോ.

Should not you also have had compassion on your fellow servant, even as I had pity on you?എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നിയതുപോലെ നിനക്കും കൂട്ടുദാസനോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണ്ടതല്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

And his lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.അങ്ങനെ യജമാനൻ കോപിച്ചു, അവൻ കടമൊക്കെയും തീർക്കുവോളം അവനെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു

So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if all of you from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തൻ സഹോദരനോടു ഹൃദയപൂർവ്വം ക്ഷമിക്കാഞ്ഞാൽ സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ എന്റെ പിതാവു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ നിങ്ങളോടും ചെയ്യും.”

Matthew 19

And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;ഈ വചനങ്ങളെ പറഞ്ഞു തീർന്നിട്ടു യേശു ഗലീല വിട്ടു,

And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.യോർദ്ദാന്നക്കരെ യെഹൂദ്യദേശത്തിന്റെ അതിരോളം ചെന്നു, വളരെ പുരുഷാരം അവനെ പിൻചെന്നു: അവൻ അവിടെവെച്ചു അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കി.

The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?പരീശന്മാർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: ഏതു കാരണം ചൊല്ലിയും ഭാര്യയെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ എന്നു അവനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചുചോദിച്ചു.

And he answered and said unto them, Have all of you not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,അതിന്നു അവൻ: “സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവൻ ആദിയിൽ അവരെ ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു എന്നും

And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they two shall be one flesh?അതു നിമിത്തം മനുഷ്യൻ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും വിട്ടു ഭാര്യയോടു പറ്റിച്ചേരും; ഇരുവരും ഒരു ദേഹമായി തീരും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു എന്നും നിങ്ങൾ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?

Wherefore they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.അതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ മേലാൽ രണ്ടല്ല, ഒരു ദേഹമത്രേ; ആകയാൽ ദൈവം യോജിപ്പിച്ചതിനെ മനുഷ്യൻ വേർപിരിക്കരുതു” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?അവർ അവനോടു: എന്നാൽ ഉപേക്ഷണപത്രം കൊടുത്തിട്ടു അവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിപ്പാൻ മോശെ കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

He says unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.അവൻ അവരോടു: “നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം നിമിത്തമത്രെ ഭാര്യമാരെ ഉപേക്ഷിപ്പാൻ മോശെ അനുവദിച്ചതു; ആദിയിൽ അങ്ങനെയല്ലായിരുന്നു.

And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery: and whoso marries her which is put away does commit adultery.ഞാനോ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നതു: പരസംഗം നിമിത്തമല്ലാതെ ഭാര്യയെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു മറ്റൊരുത്തിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവൻ വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടവളെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നവനും വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നു.”

His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: സ്ത്രീയെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു മനുഷ്യന്റെ അവസ്ഥ ഇങ്ങനെ എങ്കിൽ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നതു നന്നല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.അവൻ അവരോടു: “വരം ലഭിച്ചവർ അല്ലാതെ എല്ലാവരും ഈ വചനം ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല.

For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.അമ്മയുടെ ഗർഭത്തിൽനിന്നു ഷണ്ഡന്മാരായി ജനിച്ചവർ ഉണ്ടു; മനുഷ്യർ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരാക്കിയ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു; സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യംനിമിത്തം തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരാക്കിയ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരും ഉണ്ടു; ഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ കഴിയുന്നവൻ ഗ്രഹിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.അവൻ കൈവെച്ചു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ചിലർ ശിശുക്കളെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവരെ വിലക്കി.

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.യേശുവോ: “ശിശുക്കളെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവാൻ വിടുവിൻ; അവരെ തടുക്കരുതു; സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരുടേതല്ലോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.അങ്ങനെ അവൻ അവരുടെ മേൽ കൈവെച്ചു പിന്നെ അവിടെ നിന്നു യാത്രയായി.

And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?അനന്തരം ഒരുത്തൻ വന്നു അവനോടു: ഗുരോ, നിത്യജീവനെ പ്രാപിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ എന്തു നന്മ ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു

And he said unto him, Why call you me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if you will enter into life, keep the commandments.അവൻ: “എന്നോടു നന്മയെക്കുറിച്ചു ചോദിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നല്ലവൻ ഒരുത്തനേ ഉള്ളു. ജീവനിൽ കടപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ കല്പനകളെ പ്രമാണിക്ക” എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

He says unto him, Which? Jesus said, You shall do no murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,ഏവ എന്നു അവൻ ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു യേശു: “കുല ചെയ്യരുതു, വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു, മോഷ്ടിക്കരുതു, കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം പറയരുതു;

Honour your father and your mother: and, You shall love your neighbour as yourself.അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും ബഹുമാനിക്ക; കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്ക എന്നിവ തന്നേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

The young man says unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?യൌവനക്കാരൻ അവനോടു: ഇവ ഒക്കെയും ഞാൻ പ്രമാണിച്ചു പോരുന്നു; ഇനി കുറവുള്ളതു എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Jesus said unto him, If you will be perfect, go and sell that you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.യേശു അവനോടു: “സൽഗുണപൂർണ്ണൻ ആകുവാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നീ ചെന്നു നിനക്കുള്ളതു വിറ്റു ദരിദ്രർക്കു കൊടുക്ക; എന്നാൽ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിനക്കു നിക്ഷേപം ഉണ്ടാകും; പിന്നെ വന്നു എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.യൌവനക്കാരൻ വളരെ സമ്പത്തുള്ളവനാകയാൽ ഈ വചനം കേട്ടിട്ടു ദുഃഖിച്ചു പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.യേശു തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു: “ധനവാൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യത്തിൽ കടക്കുന്നതു പ്രയാസം തന്നേ എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.ധനവാൻ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിൽ കടക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ ഒട്ടകം സൂചിക്കുഴയൂടെ കടക്കുന്നതു എളുപ്പം എന്നും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?അതുകേട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ഏറ്റവും വിസ്മയിച്ചു: എന്നാൽ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാൻ ആർക്കു കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.യേശു അവരെ നോക്കി: “അതു മനുഷ്യർക്കു അസാദ്ധ്യം എങ്കിലും ദൈവത്തിന്നു സകലവും സാദ്ധ്യം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed you; what shall we have therefore?പത്രൊസ് അവനോടു: ഞങ്ങൾ സകലവും വിട്ടു നിന്നെ അനുഗമിച്ചുവല്ലോ; ഞങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു കിട്ടും എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That all of you which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, all of you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: “എന്നെ അനുഗമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങൾ പുനർജ്ജനനത്തിൽ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ തന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളും പന്ത്രണ്ടു സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു യിസ്രായേൽ ഗോത്രം പന്ത്രണ്ടിന്നും ന്യായം വിധിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു

And every one that has forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.എന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം വീടുകളെയോ സഹോദരന്മാരെയോ സഹോദരികളെയോ അപ്പനെയോ അമ്മയെയോ മക്കളെയോ നിലങ്ങളെയോ വിട്ടു കളഞ്ഞവന്നു എല്ലാം നൂറുമടങ്ങു ലഭിക്കും; അവൻ നിത്യജീവനെയും അവകാശമാക്കും.

But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.എങ്കിലും മുമ്പന്മാർ പലർ പിമ്പന്മാരും പിമ്പന്മാർ മുമ്പന്മാരും ആകും.”

Matthew 20

For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.“സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം തന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ വേലക്കാരെ വിളിച്ചാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പുലർച്ചെക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ട വീട്ടുടയവനോടു സദൃശം.

And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.വേലക്കാരോടു അവൻ ദിവസത്തേക്കു ഓരോ വെള്ളിക്കാശു പറഞ്ഞൊത്തിട്ടു, അവരെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ അയച്ചു.

And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,മൂന്നാം മണിനേരത്തും പുറപ്പെട്ടു, മറ്റു ചിലർ ചന്തയിൽ മിനക്കെട്ടു നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു:

And said unto them; Go all of you also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.നിങ്ങളും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ പോകുവിൻ; ന്യായമായതു തരാം എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ പോയി.

Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.അവൻ ആറാം മണിനേരത്തും ഒമ്പതാം മണി നേരത്തും ചെന്നു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തു.

And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and says unto them, Why stand all of you here all the day idle?പതിനൊന്നാം മണി നേരത്തും ചെന്നു, മറ്റു ചിലർ നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു; നിങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ പകൽ മുഴുവൻ മിനക്കെട്ടു നില്ക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

They say unto him, Because no man has hired us. He says unto them, Go all of you also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall all of you receive.ഞങ്ങളെ ആരും കൂലിക്കു വിളിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടത്രേ എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ: നിങ്ങളും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുവിൻ എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard says unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.സന്ധ്യയായപ്പോൾ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഉടയവൻ തന്റെ വിചാരകനോടു: വേലക്കാരെ വിളിച്ചു, പിമ്പന്മാർ തുടങ്ങി മുമ്പന്മാർവരെ അവർക്കു കൂലി കൊടുക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.അങ്ങനെ പതിനൊന്നാം മണിനേരത്തു വന്നവർ ചെന്നു ഓരോ വെള്ളിക്കാശു വാങ്ങി.

But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.മുമ്പന്മാർ വന്നപ്പോൾ തങ്ങൾക്കു അധികം കിട്ടും എന്നു നിരൂപിച്ചു; അവർക്കും ഓരോ വെള്ളിക്കാശു കിട്ടി.

And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,അതു വാങ്ങീട്ടു അവർ വീട്ടുടയവന്റെ നേരെ പിറുപിറുത്തു:

Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and you have made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.ഈ പിമ്പന്മാർ ഒരു മണിനേരം മാത്രം വേല ചെയ്തിട്ടും നീ അവരെ പകലത്തെ ഭാരവും വെയിലും സഹിച്ച ഞങ്ങളോടു സമമാക്കിയല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do you no wrong: did not you agree with me for a penny?അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനോടു അവൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: സ്നേഹിതാ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു അന്യായം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല; നീ എന്നോടു ഒരു പണം പറഞ്ഞൊത്തില്ലയോ?

Take that yours is, and go your way: I will give unto this last, even as unto you.നിന്റേതു വാങ്ങി പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക; നിനക്കു തന്നതുപോലെ ഈ പിമ്പന്നും കൊടുപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു മനസ്സു.

Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is yours eye evil, because I am good?എനിക്കുള്ളതിനെക്കൊണ്ടു മനസ്സുപോലെ ചെയ്‍വാൻ എനിക്കു ന്യായമില്ലയോ? ഞാൻ നല്ലവൻ ആകകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ കണ്ണു കടിക്കുന്നുവോ?

So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.ഇങ്ങനെ പിമ്പന്മാർ മുമ്പൻ മാരും മുമ്പന്മാർ പിമ്പന്മാരും ആകും.”

And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,യേശു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു യാത്രചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ പന്ത്രണ്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാരെയും വേറിട്ടു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു:

Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,“നാം യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോകുന്നുവല്ലോ; അവിടെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കും ശാസ്ത്രിമാർക്കും ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും;

And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.അവർ അവന്നു മരണശിക്ഷ കല്പിച്ചു, പരിഹസിപ്പാനും തല്ലുവാനും ക്രൂശിപ്പാനും അവനെ ജാതികൾക്കു ഏല്പിക്കും; എന്നാൽ മൂന്നാം നാൾ അവൻ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കും.”

Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.അന്നു സെബെദിപുത്രന്മാരുടെ അമ്മ പുത്രന്മാരുമായി അവന്റെ അടുക്കെ വന്നു നമസ്ക്കരിച്ചു അവനോടു ഒരു അപേക്ഷ കഴിച്ചു.

And he said unto her, What will you? She says unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on your right hand, and the other on the left, in your kingdom.“നിനക്കു എന്തു വേണം” എന്നു അവൻ അവളോടു ചോദിച്ചു. അവൾ അവനോടു: ഈ എന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഇരുവരും നിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ നിന്റെ വലത്തും ഒരുത്തൻ ഇടത്തും ഇരിപ്പാൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

But Jesus answered and said, All of you know not what all of you ask. Are all of you able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.അതിന്നു ഉത്തരമായി യേശു: “നിങ്ങൾ യാചിക്കുന്നതു ഇന്നതു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ല; ഞാൻ കുടിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന പാനപാത്രം കുടിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കഴിയുമോ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. കഴിയും എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

And he says unto them, All of you shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.അവൻ അവരോടു: “എന്റെ പാനപാത്രം നിങ്ങൾ കുടിക്കും നിശ്ചയം; എങ്കിലും എന്റെ വലത്തും ഇടത്തും ഇരിപ്പാൻ വരം നല്കുന്നതു എന്റേതല്ല; എന്റെ പിതാവു ആർക്കു ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നുവോ അവർക്കു കിട്ടും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.ശേഷം പത്തുപേർ അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു ആ രണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാരോടു നീരസപ്പെട്ടു.

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, All of you know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.യേശുവോ അവരെ അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചു: “ജാതികളുടെ അധിപന്മാർ അവരിൽ കർത്തൃത്വം ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നും മഹത്തുക്കൾ അവരുടെമേൽ അധികാരം നടത്തുന്നു എന്നും നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു.

But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;നിങ്ങളിൽ അങ്ങനെ അരുതു: നിങ്ങളിൽ മഹാൻ ആകുവാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം നിങ്ങളുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരൻ ആകേണം.

And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാമൻ ആകുവാൻ ഇചഛിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം നിങ്ങളുടെ ദാസൻ ആകേണം.

Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യിപ്പാനല്ല ശുശ്രൂഷിപ്പാനും അനേകർക്കു വേണ്ടി തന്റെ ജീവനെ മറുവിലയായി കൊടുപ്പാനും വന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.അവർ യെരീഹോവിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ വലിയോരു പുരുഷാരം അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.

And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, you son of David.അപ്പോൾ വഴിയരികെ ഇരിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു കുരുടന്മാർ യേശു കടന്നുപോകുന്നതു കേട്ടു: കർത്താവേ, ദാവീദ് പുത്രാ, ഞങ്ങളോടു കുരുണതോന്നേണമേ എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു.

And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, you son of David.മിണ്ടാതിരിപ്പാൻ പുരുഷാരം അവരെ ശാസിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവർ: കർത്താവേ, ദാവീദ് പുത്രാ, ഞങ്ങളോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു അധികം നിലവിളിച്ചു.

And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will all of you that I shall do unto you?യേശു നിന്നു അവരെ വിളിച്ചു: “ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണമെന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.കർത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങൾക്കു കണ്ണു തുറന്നുകിട്ടേണം എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.യേശു മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ കണ്ണു തൊട്ടു; ഉടനെ അവർ കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു, അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.
