The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth of his dominion, and all the people, fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities thereof, saying,ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരും അവന്റെ സകലസൈന്യവും അവന്റെ ആധിപത്യത്തിൻ കീഴുള്ള സകല ഭൂരാജ്യങ്ങളും സകല ജാതികളും യെരൂശലേമിനോടും അതിന്റെ എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളോടും യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, യിരെമ്യാവിന്നു യഹോവയിങ്കൽനിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus says the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire:യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നീ ചെന്നു, യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവോടു പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാൽ: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ ഈ നഗരത്തെ ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കും; അവൻ അതിനെ തീ വെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളയും.

And you shall not escape out of his hand, but shall surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and yours eyes shall behold the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with you mouth to mouth, and you shall go to Babylon.നീ അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകാതെ പിടിപെട്ടു അവന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും; നീ ബാബേൽരാജാവിനെ കണ്ണോടു കണ്ണു കാണുകയും അവൻ വായോടുവായ് നിന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കയും നീ ബാബേലിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവരികയും ചെയ്യും.

Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah; Thus says the LORD of you, You shall not die by the sword:എങ്കിലും യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾക്ക! നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു:

But you shall die in peace: and with the burnings of your fathers, the former kings which were before you, so shall they burn odours for you; and they will lament you, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, says the LORD.നീ വാളാൽ മരിക്കയില്ല; നീ സമാധാനത്തോടെ മരിക്കും; നിനക്കു മുമ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്ന പണ്ടത്തെ രാജാക്കന്മാരായ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു വേണ്ടി സുഗന്ധദഹനം കഴിച്ചതുപോലെ അവർ നിനക്കുവേണ്ടിയും കഴിക്കും; അയ്യോ തമ്പുരാനേ! എന്നു ചൊല്ലി അവർ നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു വിലപിക്കും; അതു ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ച വചനമല്ലോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Then Jeremiah the prophet spoke all these words unto Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem,യിരെമ്യാ പ്രവാചകൻ ഈ വചനങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും യെരൂശലേമിൽ യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവോടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു.

When the king of Babylon's army fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: for these defenced cities remained of the cities of Judah.അന്നു ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ സൈന്യം യെരൂശലേമിനോടും ലാക്കീശ്, അസെക്കാ എന്നിങ്ങനെ യെഹൂദയിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്ന എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളോടും യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിൽവെച്ചു ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളായി ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്നതു ഇവയത്രേ.

This is the word that came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, after that the king Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people which were at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty unto them;ആരും തന്റെ സഹോദരനായ ഒരു യെഹൂദനെക്കൊണ്ടു അടിമവേല ചെയ്യിക്കാതെ എബ്രായദാസനെയും എബ്രായദാസിയെയും

That every man should let his manservant, and every man his maidservant, being an Hebrew or an Hebrewess, go free; that none should serve himself of them, to know, of a Jew his brother.സ്വതന്ത്രരായി വിട്ടയക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരു വിമോചനം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കേണമെന്നു സിദെക്കീയാരാജാവു യെരൂശലേമിലെ സകല ജനത്തോടും ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്തശേഷം, യിരെമ്യാവിന്നു യഹോവയിങ്കൽനിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Now when all the princes, and all the people, which had entered into the covenant, heard that every one should let his manservant, and every one his maidservant, go free, that none should make use of them any more, then they obeyed, and let them go.ആരും തന്റെ ദാസനെക്കൊണ്ടും ദാസിയെക്കൊണ്ടും ഇനി അടിമവേല ചെയ്യിക്കാതെ അവരെ സ്വതന്ത്രരായി വിട്ടയക്കേണമെന്നുള്ള നിയമത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ട സകല പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും സർവ്വജനവും അതു അനുസരിച്ചു അവരെ വിട്ടയച്ചിരുന്നു.

But afterward they turned, and caused the servants and the handmaids, whom they had let go free, to return, and brought them into subjection for servants and for handmaids.പിന്നീടോ അവർ വ്യത്യാസം കാണിച്ചു, സ്വതന്ത്രരായി വിട്ടയച്ചിരുന്ന ദാസന്മാരെയും ദാസിമാരെയും മടക്കിവരുത്തി അവരെ വീണ്ടും ദാസീദാസന്മാരാക്കിത്തീർത്തു.

Therefore the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നു യഹോവയിങ്കൽ നിന്നുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel; I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondmen, saying,യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ അടിമവീടായ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാളിൽ അവരോടു ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്തു:

At the end of seven years let all of you go every man his brother an Hebrew, which has been sold unto you; and when he has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you: but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear.തന്നെത്താൻ നിനക്കു വിൽക്കയും ആറുസംവത്സരം നിന്നെ സേവിക്കയും ചെയ്തു എബ്രായസഹോദരനെ ഒടുക്കം ഏഴാം സംവത്സരത്തിൽ വിട്ടയക്കേണം; അവനെ സ്വതന്ത്രനായി നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു വിട്ടയക്കേണം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ എന്റെ കല്പന അനുസരിച്ചില്ല, ചെവി ചായിച്ചതുമില്ല.

And all of you were now turned, and had done right in my sight, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbour; and all of you had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name:നിങ്ങളോ ഇന്നു തിരിഞ്ഞു ഓരോരുത്തൻ തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരന്നു വിമോചനം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കിയതിനാൽ എനിക്കു ഹിതമായതു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു, എന്റെ നാമം വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ആലയത്തിൽവെച്ചു എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്തു.

But all of you turned and polluted my name, and caused every man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom he had set at liberty at their pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be unto you for servants and for handmaids.എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾ വ്യത്യാസം കാണിച്ചു എന്റെ നാമത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കി ഓരോരുത്തൻ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ പോയ്ക്കൊൾവാൻ വിമോചനം കൊടുത്തു അയച്ചിരുന്ന തന്റെ ദാസനെയും ദാസിയെയും മടക്കിവരുത്തി ദാസീദാസന്മാരാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Therefore thus says the LORD; All of you have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, says the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ സഹോദരന്നും കൂട്ടുകാരന്നും വിമോചനം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടില്ലല്ലോ; ഇതാ, ഞാൻ ഒരു വിമോചനം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു; അതു വാളിന്നും മഹാമാരിക്കും ക്ഷാമത്തിന്നു മത്രേ; ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലരാജ്യങ്ങളിലും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഭീതിവിഷയമാക്കിത്തീർക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

And I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made before me, when they cut the calf in two, and passed between the parts thereof,കാളക്കുട്ടിയെ രണ്ടായി പിളർന്നു അതിന്റെ പിളർപ്പുകളുടെ നടുവെ കടന്നുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ചെയ്ത നിയമത്തിലെ സംഗതികൾ നിവർത്തിക്കാതെ എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരെ,

The princes of Judah, and the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs, and the priests, and all the people of the land, which passed between the parts of the calf;കാളക്കുട്ടിയുടെ പിളർപ്പുകളുടെ നടുവെ കടന്നുപോയ യെഹൂദാപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും യെരൂശലേം പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും ഷണ്ഡന്മാരെയും പുരോഹിതന്മാരെയും ദേശത്തിലെ സകലജനത്തെയും തന്നേ, ഞാൻ ഏല്പിക്കും.

I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for food unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth.അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യിലും അവർക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യിലും ഞാൻ അവരെ ഏല്പിക്കും; അവരുടെ ശവങ്ങൾ ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികൾക്കും ഭൂമിയിലെ മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കും ഇരയായ്തീരും.

And Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Babylon's army, which are gone up from you.യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവെയും അവന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യിലും അവർക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യിലും നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്ന ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ സൈന്യത്തിന്റെ കയ്യിലും ഏല്പിക്കും.

Behold, I will command, says the LORD, and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant.ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചു അവരെ ഈ നഗരത്തിലേക്കു മടക്കി വരുത്തും; അവർ അതിനെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു പിടിച്ചു തീ വെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളയും; ഞാൻ യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളെ നിവാസികളില്ലാതെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Jeremiah 35

The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,യോശീയാവിന്റെ മകനായി യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാക്കീമിന്റെ കാലത്തു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നു യഹോവയിങ്കൽനിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.നീ രേഖാബ്യഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചു അവരെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ഒരു മുറിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു അവർക്കു വീഞ്ഞുകുടിപ്പാൻ കൊടുക്ക.

Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habaziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഹബസിന്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ യയസന്യാവെയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെയും അവന്റെ സകലപുത്രന്മാരെയും രേഖാബ്യഗൃഹം മുഴുവനെയും കൂട്ടി

And I brought them into the house of the LORD, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door:യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ മുറിക്കരികെ ശല്ലൂമിന്റെ മകനായ വാതിൽ കാവൽക്കാരൻ മയസേയാവിന്റെ മുറിക്കു മീതെ ഇഗ്ദല്യാവിന്റെ മകനും ദൈവപുരുഷനുമായ ഹാനാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ മുറിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine, and cups, and I said unto them, Drink all of you wine.പിന്നെ ഞാൻ, രേഖാബ്യഗൃഹക്കാരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വീഞ്ഞു നിറെച്ച കുടങ്ങളും പാനപാത്രങ്ങളും വെച്ചു അവരോടു: വീഞ്ഞു കുടിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, All of you shall drink no wine, neither all of you, nor your sons for ever:അതിന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞങ്ങൾ വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കയില്ല; രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായി ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യോനാദാബ് ഞങ്ങളോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ചെന്നു പാർക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തു ദീർഘയുസ്സോടെ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു

Neither shall all of you build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days all of you shall dwell in tents; that all of you may live many days in the land where all of you be strangers.നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളും ഒരിക്കലും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കരുതു; വീടു പണിയരുതു; വിത്തു വിതെക്കരുതു; മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കരുതു; ഈവക ഒന്നും നിങ്ങൾക്കുണ്ടാകയുമരുതു; നിങ്ങൾ ജീവപര്യന്തം കൂടാരങ്ങളിൽ പാർക്കേണം എന്നിങ്ങനെ കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he has charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters;അങ്ങനെ ഞങ്ങളും ഭാര്യമാരും പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ഞങ്ങളുടെ ജീവകാലത്തൊരിക്കലും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കയോ

Nor to build houses for us to dwell in: neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed:പാർപ്പാൻ വീടു പണികയോ ചെയ്യാതെ രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായി ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യോനാദാബ് ഞങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ച സകലത്തിലും അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചുവരുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾക്കു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടവും വയലും വിത്തും ഇല്ല.

But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.ഞങ്ങൾ കൂടാരങ്ങളിൽ പാർത്തു, ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യോനാദാബ് ഞങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നു.

But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell at Jerusalem.എന്നാൽ ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ ദേശത്തെ ആക്രമിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾ: വരുവിൻ കല്ദയരുടെ സൈന്യത്തിന്റെയും അരാമ്യരുടെ സൈന്യത്തിന്റെയും മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നമുക്കു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോയ്ക്കളയാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അങ്ങനെ ഞങ്ങൾ യെരൂശലേമിൽ പാർത്തുവരുന്നു.

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will all of you not receive instruction to hearken to my words? says the LORD.യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നീ ചെന്നു യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരോടും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളോടും പറയേണ്ടതു: എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ അനുസരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പ്രബോധനം കൈാക്കൊള്ളുന്നില്ലയോ? എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their father's commandment: notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but all of you hearkened not unto me.രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാദാബ് തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോടു വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കരുതെന്നു കല്പിച്ചതു അവർ നിവർത്തിക്കുന്നു; അവർ പിതാവിന്റെ കല്പന പ്രമാണിച്ചു ഇന്നുവരെ കുടിക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ അനുസരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return all of you now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and all of you shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but all of you have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ ദുർമ്മാർഗ്ഗം വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞു നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ നന്നാക്കുവിൻ; അന്യദേവന്മാരോടു ചേർന്നു അവരെ സേവിക്കരുതു; അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കും തന്ന ദേശത്തു നിങ്ങൾ വസിക്കുമെന്നിങ്ങനെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ എന്റെ സകലദാസന്മാരെയും ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു പറയിച്ചിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ ചെവി ചായിക്കയോ എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിക്കയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.

Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father, which he commanded them; but this people has not hearkened unto me:രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാദാബിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ അവരുടെ പിതാവു കല്പിച്ച കല്പന പ്രമാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഈ ജനമോ, എന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടനുസരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.

Therefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായി സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവർ കേൾക്കയോ വിളിച്ചിട്ടും അവർ ഉത്തരം പറകയോ ചെയ്യായ്കകൊണ്ടു, ഞാൻ യെഹൂദയുടെ മേലും യെരൂശലേമിലെ സകലനിവാസികളുടെ മേലും ഞാൻ അവർക്കു വിധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന അനർത്ഥമൊക്കെയും വരുത്തും.

And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because all of you have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he has commanded you:പിന്നെ യിരെമ്യാവു രേഖാബ്യഗൃഹത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവായ യോനാദാബിന്റെ കല്പന പ്രാണിച്ചു അവന്റെ ആജ്ഞയൊക്കെയും അനുസരിച്ചു അവൻ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു,

Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not lack a man to stand before me for ever.എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്പാൻ രേഖാബിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാദാബിന്നു ഒരു പുരുഷൻ ഒരിക്കലും ഇല്ലാതെ വരികയില്ല എന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Jeremiah 36

And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,യോശീയാവിന്റെ മകനായി യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാക്കീമിന്റെ നാലാം ആണ്ടിൽ യഹോവയിങ്കൽനിന്നു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടാവിതു:

Take you a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto you against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spoke unto you, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.നീ ഒരു പുസ്തകച്ചുരുൾ മേടിച്ചു, ഞാൻ യോശീയാവിന്റെ കാലത്തു നിന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ചുതുടങ്ങിയ നാൾമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെയും യിസ്രായേലിനെയും യെഹൂദയെയും സകലജാതികളെയുംകുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും അതിൽ എഴുതുക.

It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.പക്ഷേ യെഹൂദാഗൃഹം ഞാൻ അവർക്കു വരുത്തുവാൻ വിചാരിക്കുന്ന സകല അനർത്ഥത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടിട്ടു ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ ദുർമ്മാർഗ്ഗം വിട്ടുതിരിവാനും ഞാൻ അവരുടെ അകൃത്യവും പാപവും ക്ഷമിപ്പാനും ഇടവരും.

Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.അങ്ങനെ യിരെമ്യാവു നേർയ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ ബാരൂക്കിനെ വിളിച്ചു; യഹോവ യിരെമ്യാവോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സകലവചനങ്ങളെയും അവന്റെ വാമൊഴിപ്രകാരം ബാരൂക്ക് ഒരു പുസ്തകച്ചുരുളിൽ എഴുതി.

And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD:യിരെമ്യാവു ബാരൂക്കിനോടു കല്പിച്ചതു: ഞാൻ അടെക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എനിക്കു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ പോകുവാൻ കഴിവില്ല.

Therefore go you, and read in the roll, which you have written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD's house upon the fasting day: and also you shall read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.ആകയാൽ നീ ചെന്നു എന്റെ വാമൊഴികേട്ടു എഴുതിയ ചുരുളിൽനിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ വചനങ്ങളെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ ഉപവാസദിവസത്തിൽ തന്നേ ജനം കേൾക്കെ വായിക്ക; അതതു പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു വരുന്ന എല്ലായെഹൂദയും കേൾക്കെ നീ അതു വായിക്കേണം.

It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD has pronounced against this people.പക്ഷെ അവർ യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വീണു അപേക്ഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ ദുർമ്മാർഗ്ഗം വിട്ടുതിരിയും; യഹോവ ഈ ജനത്തിന്നു വിധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കോപവും ക്രോധവും വലിയതല്ലോ.

And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the LORD in the LORD's house.യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകൻ തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെയൊക്കെയും നേർയ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ ബാരൂക്ക് ചെയ്തു, യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ ആ പുസ്തകത്തിൽനിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ വചനങ്ങളെ വായിച്ചു കേൾപ്പിച്ചു.

And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.യോശീയാവിന്റെ മകനായി യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാക്കീമിന്റെ അഞ്ചാം ആണ്ടിൽ, ഒമ്പതാം മാസത്തിൽ, അവർ യെരൂശലേമിലെ സകല ജനത്തിന്നും യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു യെരൂശലേമിൽ വന്ന സകലജനത്തിന്നും യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ഒരു ഉപവാസം പ്രസിദ്ധമാക്കി,

Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house, in the ears of all the people.അപ്പോൾ ബാരൂക്ക് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ, യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പുതിയവാതിലിന്റെ പ്രവേശനത്തിങ്കൽ, മേലത്തെ മുറ്റത്തു, ശാഫാന്റെ മകനായ ഗെമർയ്യാരായസക്കാരന്റെ മുറിയിൽവെച്ചു ആ പുസ്തകത്തിൽനിന്നു യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ സകലജനത്തെയും വായിച്ചു കേൾപ്പിച്ചു.

When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the LORD,ശാഫാന്റെ മകനായ ഗെമർയ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ മീഖായാവു യഹോവയുടെ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും പുസ്തകത്തിൽനിന്നു വായിച്ചു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ

Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.അവൻ രാജഗൃഹത്തിൽ രായസക്കാരന്റെ മുറിയിൽ ചെന്നു; അവിടെ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ഇരുന്നിരുന്നു; രായസക്കാരൻ എലീശാമായും ശെമയ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ ദെലായാവും അഖ്ബോരിന്റെ മകൻ എൽനാഥാനും ശാഫാന്റെ മകൻ ഗെമർയ്യാവും ഹനന്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ സിദെക്കീയാവും ശേഷം പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും തന്നേ.

Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.ബാരൂക്ക് ജനത്തെ പുസ്തകം വായിച്ചു കേൾപ്പിച്ചപ്പോൾ, താൻ കേട്ടിരുന്ന വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും മീഖായാവു അവരോടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു.

Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in yours hand the roll wherein you have read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.അപ്പോൾ സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും കൂശിയുടെ മകനായ ശെലെമ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ നഥന്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ യെഹൂദിയെ ബാരൂക്കിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു: നീ ജനത്തെ വായിച്ചുകേൾപ്പിച്ച പുസ്തകച്ചുരുൾ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു വരിക എന്നു പറയിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ നേർയ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ ബാരൂക്ക് പുസ്തകച്ചുരുൾ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു.

And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.അവർ അവനോടു: ഇവിടെ ഇരുന്നു അതു വായിച്ചുകേൾപ്പിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ബാരൂക്ക് വായിച്ചുകേൾപ്പിച്ചു.

Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and the other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.ആ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അവർ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ നോക്കി, ബാരൂക്കിനോടു: ഈ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങൾ രാജാവിനെ അറിയിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How did you write all these words at his mouth?നീ ഈ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും എങ്ങനെയാകുന്നു എഴുതിയതു? അവൻ പറഞ്ഞുതന്നിട്ടോ? ഞങ്ങളോടു പറക എന്നു അവർ ബാരൂക്കിനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.ബാരൂക്ക് അവരോടു: അവൻ ഈ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും പറഞ്ഞുതന്നു, ഞാൻ മഷികൊണ്ടു പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതി എന്നുത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide you, you and Jeremiah; and let no man know where all of you be.അപ്പോൾ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ ബാരൂക്കിനോടു: പോയി നീയും യിരെമ്യാവും കൂടെ ഒളിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ; നിങ്ങൾ ഇന്നേടത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ആരും അറിയരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.അനന്തരം അവർ പുസ്തകച്ചുരുൾ രായസക്കാരനായ എലീശാമയുടെ മുറിയിൽ വെച്ചേച്ചു, അരമനയിൽ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു ആ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും രാജാവിനെ ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.രാജാവു ചുരുൾ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു വരുവാൻ യെഹൂദിയെ അയച്ചു; അവൻ രായസക്കാരനായ എലീശാമയുടെ മുറിയിൽനിന്നു അതു എടുത്തു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; യെഹൂദി അതു രാജാവിനെയും രാജാവിന്റെ ചുറ്റും നില്ക്കുന്ന സകലപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും വായിച്ചു കേൾപ്പിച്ചു.

Now the king sat in the winter-house in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.അന്നു ഒമ്പതാം മാസത്തിൽ രാജാവു ഹേമന്തഗൃഹത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കയായിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നെരിപ്പോട്ടിൽ തീ കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.യെഹൂദി മൂന്നു നാലു ഭാഗം വായിച്ചശേഷം രാജാവു എഴുത്തുകാരന്റെ ഒരു കത്തികൊണ്ടു അതു കണ്ടിച്ചു ചുരുൾ മുഴുവനും നെരിപ്പോട്ടിലെ തീയിൽ വെന്തുപോകുംവരെ നെരിപ്പോട്ടിൽ ഇട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.രാജാവാകട്ടെ ആ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും കേട്ട ഭൃത്യന്മാരിൽ ആരെങ്കിലുമാകട്ടെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയോ വസ്ത്രം കീറുകയോ ചെയ്തില്ല.

Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them.ചുരുൾ ചുട്ടുകളയരുതേ എന്നു എൽനാഥാനും ദെലായാവും ശെമർയ്യാവും രാജാവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു എങ്കിലും അവൻ അവരുടെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടില്ല.

But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the LORD hid them.അനന്തരം ബാരൂക്ക് എന്ന എഴുത്തുകാരനെയും യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകനെയും പിടിപ്പാൻ രാജാവു രാജകുമാരനായ യെരഹ്മെയേലിനോടും അസ്രീയേലിന്റെ മകനായ സെരായാവോടും അബ്ദേലിന്റെ മകനായ ശെലെമ്യാവോടും കല്പിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ അവരെ ഒളിപ്പിച്ചു;

Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,ചുരുളും ബാരൂക്ക് യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ വാമൊഴിപ്രകാരം എഴുതിയിരുന്ന വചനങ്ങളും രാജാവു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞശേഷം, യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Take you again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah has burned.നീ മറ്റൊരു ചുരുൾ മേടിച്ചു യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാക്കീം ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞ മുമ്പിലത്തെ ചുരുളിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും അതിൽ എഴുതുക.

And you shall say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus says the LORD; You have burned this roll, saying, Why have you written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?എന്നാൽ യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാക്കീമിനോടു നീ പറയേണ്ടതു: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ബാബേൽരാജാവു വന്നു ഈ ദേശത്തെ നശിപ്പിച്ചു, മനുഷ്യനെയും മൃഗത്തെയും മുടിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു നീ അതിൽ എഴുതിയതു എന്തിനു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു നീ ആ ചുരുൾ ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

Therefore thus says the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.അതുകൊണ്ടു യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാക്കീമിനെക്കുറിച്ചു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: അവന്നു ദാവീദിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിപ്പാൻ ഒരുത്തനും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; അവന്റെ ശവം പകൽ വെയിലും രാത്രിയിൽ മഞ്ഞു ഏല്പാൻ എറിഞ്ഞുകളയും.

And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.ഞാൻ അവനെയും അവന്റെ സന്തതിയെയും ഭൃത്യന്മാരെയും അവരുടെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം സന്ദർശിക്കും; അവർക്കും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികൾക്കും യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാർക്കും വരുത്തുമെന്നു ഞാൻ വിധിച്ചതും അവർ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാത്തതുമായ അനർത്ഥമൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ അവർക്കു വരുത്തും.

Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.അങ്ങനെ യിരെമ്യാവു മറ്റൊരു ചുരുൾ എടുത്തു നേർയ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ ബാരൂക്ക് എന്ന എഴുത്തുകാരന്റെ കയ്യിൽ കൊടുത്തു; അവൻ യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാക്കീം തീയിൽ ഇട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞ പുസ്തകത്തിലെ വചനങ്ങളൊക്കെയും യിരെമ്യാവിന്റെ വാമൊഴിപ്രകാരം അതിൽ എഴുതി; അതുപോലെയുള്ള ഏറിയ വചനങ്ങളും ചേർത്തെഴുതുവാൻ സംഗതിവന്നു.
