Ecclesiastes 12

1
Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them;നിന്റെ യൌവനകാലത്തു നിന്റെ സ്രഷ്ടാവിനെ ഓർത്തുകൊൾക; ദുർദ്ദിവസങ്ങൾ വരികയും എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമില്ല എന്നു നീ പറയുന്ന കാലം സമീപിക്കയും
2
While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:സൂര്യനും വെളിച്ചവും ചന്ദ്രനും നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളും ഇരുണ്ടുപോകയും മഴ പെയ്ത ശേഷം മേഘങ്ങൾ മടങ്ങി വരികയും ചെയ്യുംമുമ്പെ തന്നേ.
3
In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened,അന്നു വീട്ടുകാവൽക്കാർ വിറെക്കും; ബലവാന്മാർ കുനിയും; അരെക്കുന്നവർ ചുരുക്കമാകയാൽ അടങ്ങിയിരിക്കും; കിളിവാതിലുകളിൽകൂടി നോക്കുന്നവർ അന്ധന്മാരാകും;
4
And the doors shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low, and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird, and all the daughters of music shall be brought low;തെരുവിലെ കതകുകൾ അടയും; അരെക്കുന്ന ശബ്ദം മന്ദമാകും; പക്ഷികളുടെ ശബ്ദത്തിങ്കൽ ഉണർന്നുപോകും; പാട്ടുകാരത്തികൾ ഒക്കെയും തളരുകയും ചെയ്യും;
5
Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goes to his eternal home, and the mourners go about the streets:അന്നു അവർ കയറ്റത്തെ പേടിക്കും; വഴിയിൽ ഭീതികൾ ഉള്ളതായി തോന്നും; ബദാംവൃക്ഷം പൂക്കും; തുള്ളൻ ഇഴഞ്ഞുനടക്കും; രോചനക്കുരു ഫലിക്കാതെ വരും; മനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ ശാശ്വതഭവനത്തിലേക്കു പോകും; വിലാപം കഴിക്കുന്നവർ വീഥിയിൽ ചുറ്റി സഞ്ചരിക്കും.
6
Before even the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
7
Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
8
Vanity of vanities, says the preacher; all is vanity.
9
And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.
10
The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.
11
The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.
12
And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
13
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Song of Solomon 1

1
The song of songs, which is Solomon's.
2
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for your love is better than wine.
3
Because of the savour of your good ointments your name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love you.
4
Draw me, we will run after you: the king has brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in you, we will remember your love more than wine: the upright love you.
5
I am black, but comely, O all of you daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
6
Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun has looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.
7
Tell me, O you whom my soul loves, where you feed, where you make your flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turns aside by the flocks of your companions?
8
If you know not, O you fairest among women, go your way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed your kids beside the shepherds' tents.
9
I have compared you, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots.
10
Your cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, your neck with chains of gold.
11
We will make you borders of gold with studs of silver.
12
While the king sits at his table, my spikenard sends forth the smell thereof.
13
A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me; he shall lie all night between my breasts.
14
My beloved is unto me as a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of Engedi.
15
Behold, you are fair, my love; behold, you are fair; you have doves' eyes.
16
Behold, you are fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green.
17
The beams of our house are cedar, and our rafters of fir.

Song of Solomon 2

1
I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.
2
As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.
3
As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.
4
He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.
5
Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love.
6
His left hand is under my head, and his right hand does embrace me.
7
I charge you, O all of you daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that all of you stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.
8
The voice of my beloved! behold, he comes leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills.
9
My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he stands behind our wall, he looks forth at the windows, showing himself through the lattice.
10
My beloved spoke, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
11
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
12
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds has come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;പുഷ്പങ്ങൾ ഭൂമിയിൽ കാണായ്‍വരുന്നു; വള്ളിത്തല മുറിക്കുംകാലം വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; കുറുപ്രാവിന്റെ ശബ്ദവും നമ്മുടെ നാട്ടിൽ കേൾക്കുന്നു.
13
The fig tree puts forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.
14
O my dove, that are in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see your countenance, let me hear your voice; for sweet is your voice, and your countenance is comely.
15
Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
16
My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feeds among the lilies.
17
Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be you like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether.
