Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.അനന്തരം ദാവീദ് യിസ്രായേലിൽനിന്നു സകലവിരുതന്മാരുമായി മുപ്പതിനായിരം പേരെ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി

And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwells between the cherubims.കെരൂബുകളുടെ മീതെ അധിവസിക്കുന്നവനായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ എന്ന നാമത്താൽ വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം ബാലേ-യെഹൂദയിൽനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടതിന്നു ദാവീദും കൂടെയുള്ള സകലജനവും അവിടേക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടു പോയി.

And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.അവർ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം ഒരു പുതിയ വണ്ടിയിൽ കയറ്റി, കുന്നിന്മേലുള്ള അബീനാദാബിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അബീനാദാബിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ഉസ്സയും അഹ്യോവും ആ പുതിയവണ്ടി തെളിച്ചു.

And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.കുന്നിന്മേലുള്ള അബീനാദാബിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു അവർ അതിനെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകവുമായി കൊണ്ടു പോരുമ്പോൾ അഹ്യോ പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു മുമ്പായി നടന്നു.

And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.ദാവീദും യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹമൊക്കെയും സരളമരംകൊണ്ടുള്ള സകലവിധവാദിത്രങ്ങളോടും കിന്നരം, വീണ, തപ്പ്, മുരജം, കൈത്താളം എന്നിവയോടുംകൂടെ യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നൃത്തം ചെയ്തു.

And when they came to Nachon's threshing floor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.അവർ നാഖോന്റെ കളത്തിങ്കൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ കാള വിരണ്ടതുകൊണ്ടു ഉസ്സാ കൈ നീട്ടി ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം പിടിച്ചു.

And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God stroke him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയുടെ കോപം ഉസ്സയുടെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു; അവന്റെ അവിവേകം നിമിത്തം ദൈവം അവിടെവെച്ചു അവനെ സംഹരിച്ചു; അവൻ അവിടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവെച്ചു മരിച്ചു.

And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place Perezuzzah to this day.യഹോവ ഉസ്സയെ ഛേദിച്ച ഛേദംനിമിത്തം ദാവീദിന്നു വ്യസനമായി അവൻ ആ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു പേരെസ്-ഉസ്സാ എന്നു പേർ വിളിച്ചു. അതു ഇന്നുവരെയും പറഞ്ഞുവരുന്നു.

And David was afraid of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me?അന്നു ദാവീദ് യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടുപോയി. യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എങ്ങനെ കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടു എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.ഇങ്ങനെ യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ തന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുത്തുവാൻ മനസ്സില്ലാതെ ദാവീദ് അതിനെ ഗിത്യനായ ഓബേദ്-എദോമിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി വെച്ചു.

And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household.യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം ഗിത്യനായ ഓബേദ്-എദോമിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ മൂന്നുമാസം ഇരുന്നു; യഹോവ ഓബേദ്-എദോമിനെയും അവന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെ ഒക്കെയും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

And it was told king David, saying, The LORD has blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertains unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness.ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം നിമിത്തം യഹോവ ഓബേദ്-എദോമിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെയും അവന്നുള്ള സകലത്തെയും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു എന്നു ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവിന്നു അറിവു കിട്ടിയപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ് പുറപ്പെട്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം ഓബേദ്-എദോമിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ നിന്നു ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിലേക്കു സന്തോഷത്തോടെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം ചുമന്നവർ ആറു ചുവടു നടന്നശേഷം അവൻ ഒരു കാളയെയും തടിപ്പിച്ച കിടാവിനെയും യാഗംകഴിച്ചു.

And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.ദാവീദ് പഞ്ഞിനൂലങ്കി ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പൂർണ്ണശക്തിയോടെ യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നൃത്തം ചെയ്തു.

So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.അങ്ങനെ ദാവീദും യിസ്രായേൽ ഗൃഹമൊക്കെയും ആർപ്പോടും കാഹളനാദത്തോടുംകൂടെ യാഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ കടക്കുമ്പോൾ ശൌലിന്റെ മകളായ മീഖൾ കിളിവാതിലിൽകൂടി നോക്കി, ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവു യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ കുതിച്ചു നൃത്തം ചെയ്യുന്നതു കണ്ടു തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ അവനെ നിന്ദിച്ചു.

And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.അവർ യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ദാവീദ് അതിന്നായിട്ടു അടിച്ചിരുന്ന കൂടാരത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ അതിന്റെ സ്ഥാനത്തുവെച്ചു; പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും അർപ്പിച്ചു.

And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.ദാവീദ്, ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും അർപ്പിച്ചു തീർന്നശേഷം അവൻ ജനത്തെ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.പിന്നെ അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സർവ്വസംഘവുമായ സകലജനത്തിലും പുരുഷന്മാർക്കും സ്ത്രീകൾക്കും ആളൊന്നിന്നു ഒരു അപ്പവും ഒരു കഷണം മാംസവും ഒരു മുന്തിരിയടയും വീതം പങ്കിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു, ജനമൊക്കെയും താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി.

Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!അനന്തരം ദാവീദ് തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു മടങ്ങിവന്നപ്പോൾ ശൌലിന്റെ മകളായ മീഖൾ ദാവീദിനെ എതിരേറ്റു ചെന്നു: നിസ്സാരന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ തന്നെത്താൻ അനാവൃതനാക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഇന്നു തന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെ ദാസികൾ കാൺകെ തന്നെത്താൻ അനാവൃതനാക്കിയ യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാവു ഇന്നു എത്ര മഹത്വമുള്ളവൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before your father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.ദാവീദ് മീഖളിനോടു: യഹോവയുടെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു പ്രഭുവായിനിയമിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്റെ അപ്പനിലും അവന്റെ സകലഗൃഹത്തിലും ഉപരിയായി എന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ, അതേ, യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ഞാൻ നൃത്തം ചെയ്യും.

And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which you have spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.ഞാൻ ഇനിയും ഇതിലധികം ഹീനനും എന്റെ കാഴ്ചെക്കു എളിയവനും ആയിരിക്കും; നീ പറഞ്ഞ ദാസികളാലോ എനിക്കു മഹത്വമുണ്ടാകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.എന്നാൽ ശൌലിന്റെ മകളായ മീഖളിന്നു ജീവപര്യന്തം ഒരു കുട്ടിയും ഉണ്ടായില്ല.

2 Samuel 7

And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;യഹോവ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും അടക്കി രാജാവിന്നു സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കിയശേഷം രാജാവു തന്റെ അരമനയിൽ വസിക്കുംകാലത്തു

That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells within curtains.ഒരിക്കൽ രാജാവു നാഥാൻ പ്രവാചകനോടു: ഇതാ, ഞാൻ ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടുള്ള അരമനയിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകമോ തിരശ്ശീലെക്കകത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in yours heart; for the LORD is with you.നാഥാൻ രാജാവിനോടു: നീ ചെന്നു നിന്റെ മനസ്സിലുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തുകൊൾക; യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came unto Nathan, saying,എന്നാൽ അന്നു രാത്രി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു നാഥാന്നു ഉണ്ടായതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

Go and tell my servant David, Thus says the LORD, Shall you build me an house for me to dwell in?എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോടു നീ ചെന്നു പറക: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ അധിവസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ എനിക്കു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയുമോ?

Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളെ മിസ്രയീമിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച നാൾമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെയും ഞാൻ ഒരു ആലയത്തിൽ അധിവസിക്കാതെ കൂടാരത്തിലും നിവാസത്തിലുമല്ലോ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുവരുന്നതു.

In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spoke I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build all of you not me an house of cedar?എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ മേയ്പാൻ ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചാക്കിയ യിസ്രായേൽ ഗോത്രങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നിനോടു എനിക്കു ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയാതിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു എല്ലായിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടുംകൂടെ ഞാൻ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുവന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ എവിടെ വെച്ചെങ്കിലും ഒരു വാക്കു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

Now therefore so shall you say unto my servant David, Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:ആകയാൽ നീ എന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോടു പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാൽ: സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്മേൽ പ്രഭുവായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ പുല്പുറത്തു നിന്നു ആടുകളെ നോക്കിനടക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ എടുത്തു.

And I was with you anywhere you went, and have cut off all yours enemies out of your sight, and have made you a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.നീ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുവന്ന എല്ലായിടത്തും ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു നിന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള മഹാന്മാരുടെ പേർ പോലെ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ പേർ വലുതാക്കും.

Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as in time past,ഞാൻ എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ഒരു സ്ഥലം കല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അവർ സ്വന്തസ്ഥലത്തു പാർത്തു അവിടെനിന്നു ഇളകാതിരിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവരെ നടുകയും ചെയ്യും. പണ്ടത്തെപ്പോലെയും എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ഞാൻ ന്യായാധിപന്മാരെ കല്പിച്ചാക്കിയ കാലത്തെപ്പോലെയും ഇനി ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ അവരെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കയില്ല.

And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused you to rest from all yours enemies. Also the LORD tells you that he will make you an house.ഞാൻ നിന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും അടക്കി നിനക്കു സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കും. അത്രയുമല്ല, യഹോവ നിനക്കു ഒരു ഗൃഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കുമെന്നു യഹോവ നിന്നോടു അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

And when your days be fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, which shall proceed out of your bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.നിന്റെ ഉദരത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവാനിരിക്കുന്ന സന്തതിയെ നിന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലം തികഞ്ഞിട്ടു നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടുകൂടെ നീ നിദ്രകൊള്ളുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിനക്കു പിന്തുടർച്ചയായി സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തുകയും അവന്റെ രാജത്വം ഉറപ്പാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

He shall build an house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.അവൻ എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയും; ഞാൻ അവന്റെ രാജത്വത്തിന്റെ സിംഹാസനം എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമാക്കും.

I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:ഞാൻ അവന്നു പിതാവും അവൻ എനിക്കു പുത്രനും ആയിരിക്കും; അവൻ കുറ്റം ചെയ്താൽ ഞാൻ അവനെ മനുഷ്യരുടെ വടികൊണ്ടും മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെ അടികൊണ്ടും ശിക്ഷിക്കും.

But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you.എങ്കിലും നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു ഞാൻ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞ ശൌലിങ്കൽനിന്നു ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദയ നീക്കിയതുപോലെ അതു അവങ്കൽനിന്നു നീങ്ങിപ്പോകയില്ല.

And yours house and your kingdom shall be established for ever before you: your throne shall be established for ever.നിന്റെ ഗൃഹവും നിന്റെ രാജത്വവും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കും; നിന്റെ സിംഹാസനവും എന്നേക്കും ഉറെച്ചിരിക്കും.

According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.ഈ സകലവാക്കുകൾക്കും ദർശനത്തിന്നും ഒത്തവണ്ണം നാഥാൻ ദാവീദിനോടു സംസാരിച്ചു.

Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that you have brought me until now?അപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ്‍രാജാവു അകത്തു ചെന്നു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഇരുന്നു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്നെ ഇത്രത്തോളം കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ ഞാൻ ആർ? എന്റെ ഗൃഹവും എന്തുള്ളു?

And this was yet a small thing in your sight, O Lord GOD; but you have spoken also of your servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, ഇതും പോരാ എന്നു നിനക്കു തോന്നീട്ടു വരുവാനുള്ള ദീർഘകാലത്തേക്കു അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, ഇതു മനുഷ്യർക്കു ഉപദേശമല്ലോ?

²⁰

And what can David say more unto you? for you, Lord GOD, know your servant.ദാവീദ് ഇനി നിന്നോടു എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു? കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ അടിയനെ അറിയുന്നു.

²¹

For your word's sake, and according to yours own heart, have you done all these great things, to make your servant know them.നിന്റെ വചനംനിമിത്തവും നിന്റെ പ്രസാദപ്രകാരവും അല്ലോ നീ ഈ വൻകാര്യം ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തു അടിയനെ അറിയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു.

Wherefore you are great, O LORD God: for there is none like you, neither is there any God beside you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.അതുകൊണ്ടു കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ വലിയവൻ ആകുന്നു; നിന്നെപ്പോലെ ഒരുത്തനുമില്ല; ഞങ്ങൾ സ്വന്തചെവികൊണ്ടു കേട്ടതൊക്കെയും ഓർത്താൽ നീ അല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ല.

And what one nation in the earth is like your people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for your land, before your people, which you redeemed to you from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?നിനക്കു ജനമായി വീണ്ടെടുപ്പാനും നിനക്കു ഒരു നാമം സമ്പാദിപ്പാനും നീ ചെന്നിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു തുല്യമായി ഭൂമിയിൽ ഏതൊരു ജാതിയുള്ളു? ദൈവമേ, നീ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നും ജാതികളുടെയും അവരുടെ ദേവന്മാരുടെയും കൈവശത്തുനിന്നും നിനക്കായി വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ജനം കാൺകെ അവർക്കുവേണ്ടി വൻകാര്യവും അവരുടെ ദേശത്തിന്നുവേണ്ടി ഭയങ്കരകാര്യങ്ങളും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

For you have confirmed to yourself your people Israel to be a people unto you for ever: and you, LORD, are become their God.നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ നിനക്കു എന്നേക്കും ജനമായിരിപ്പാൻ നീ നിനക്കായി സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തി, യഹോവേ, നീ അവർക്കു ദൈവമായ്തീർന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

And now, O LORD God, the word that you have spoken concerning your servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as you have said.ഇപ്പോഴും കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ അടിയനെയും അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനത്തെ എന്നേക്കും ഉറപ്പാക്കി അരുളപ്പാടുപോലെ ചെയ്യേണമേ.

And let your name be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God over Israel: and let the house of your servant David be established before you.സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ദൈവം എന്നിങ്ങനെ നിന്റെ നാമം എന്നേക്കും മഹത്വീകരിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ; നിന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്റെ ഗൃഹം നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ സ്ഥരിമായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

For you, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, have revealed to your servant, saying, I will build you an house: therefore has your servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto you.ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ഒരു ഗൃഹം പണിയുമെന്നു നീ അടിയന്നു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടു, യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവേ, നിന്നോടു ഈ പ്രാർത്ഥന കഴിപ്പാൻ അടിയൻ ധൈര്യം പ്രാപിച്ചു.

And now, O Lord GOD, you are that God, and your words be true, and you have promised this goodness unto your servant:കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ തന്നേ ദൈവം; നിന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ സത്യം ആകുന്നു; അടിയന്നു ഈ നന്മയെ നീ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

Therefore now let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue for ever before you: for you, O Lord GOD, have spoken it: and with your blessing let the house of your servant be blessed for ever.ആകയാൽ അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹം തിരുമുമ്പിൽ എന്നേക്കും ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പ്രസാദം തോന്നി അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണമേ; കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ അങ്ങനെ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ; നിന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്താൽ അടിയന്റെ ഗൃഹം എന്നേക്കും അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.

2 Samuel 8

And after this it came to pass that David stroke the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines.അനന്തരം ദാവീദ് ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ ജയിച്ചടക്കി, മൂലസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ ഭരണം ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു കരസ്ഥമാക്കി.

And he stroke Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.അവൻ മോവാബ്യരെയും തോല്പിച്ചു അവരെ നിലത്തു കിടത്തി ചരടുകൊണ്ടു അളന്നു; കൊല്ലുവാൻ രണ്ടു ചരടും ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ഒരു ചരടുമായി അവൻ അളന്നു. അങ്ങനെ മോവാബ്യർ ദാവീദിന്നു ദാസന്മാരായി കപ്പം കൊടുത്തുവന്നു.

David stroke also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.രെഹോബിന്റെ മകനായി സോബരാജാവായ ഹദദേസെർ നദീതീരത്തുള്ള തന്റെ ആധിപത്യം യഥാസ്ഥാനപ്പെടുത്തുവാൻ പോയപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ് അവനെ തോല്പിച്ചു.

And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David cut the hamstrings of all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.അവന്റെ വക ആയിരത്തെഴുനൂറു കുതിരച്ചേവകരെയും ഇരുപതിനായിരം കാലാളുകളെയും ദാവീദ് പിടിച്ചു; രഥകൂതിരകളിൽ നൂറു മാത്രംവെച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ശേഷം കുതിരകളെ ഒക്കെയും കുതിഞരമ്പു വെട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.സോബരാജാവായ ഹദദേസെരിനെ സഹായിപ്പാൻ ദമ്മേശെക്കിനോടു ചേർന്ന അരാമ്യർ വന്നപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ് അരാമ്യരിൽ ഇരുപത്തീരായിരംപേരെ സംഹരിച്ചു.

Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് ദമ്മേശെക്കിനോടു ചേർന്ന അരാമിൽ കാവല്പട്ടാളങ്ങളെ പാർപ്പിച്ചു; അരാമ്യരും ദാവീദിന്നു ദാസന്മാരായിത്തീർന്നു കപ്പം കൊടുത്തുവന്നു. ഇങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് ചെന്നേടത്തൊക്കെയും യഹോവ അവന്നു ജയം നല്കി.

And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.ഹദദേസെരിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർക്കു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന പൊൻപരിചകളെ ദാവീദ് എടുത്തു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.ഹദദേസെരിന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങളായ ബേതഹിൽനിന്നും ബെരോതായിൽനിന്നും ദാവീദ്‍രാജാവു അനവധി താമ്രവും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer,ദാവീദ് ഹദദേസെരിന്റെ സർവ്വസൈന്യത്തെയും തോല്പിച്ചു എന്നു ഹമാത്ത്‌രാജാവായ തോയി കേട്ടപ്പോൾ

Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:ദാവീദ്‍രാജാവിനോടു കുശലം ചോദിപ്പാനും അവൻ ഹദദേസെരിനോടു യുദ്ധംചെയ്തു അവനെ തോല്പിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ അഭിനന്ദിപ്പാനും തോയി തന്റെ മകൻ യോരാമിനെ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു; ഹദദേസെരിന്നു തോയിയോടു കൂടക്കൂടെ യുദ്ധമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. യോരാം വെള്ളി, പൊന്നു, താമ്രം എന്നിവകൊണ്ടുള്ള സാധനങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

Which also king David did dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued;ദാവീദ്‍രാജാവു ഇവയെ അരാമ്യർ, മോവാബ്യർ, അമ്മോന്യർ, ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ, അമാലേക്യർ എന്നിങ്ങനെ താൻ കീഴടക്കിയ സകല ജാതികളുടെയും പക്കൽനിന്നും

Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.രെഹോബിന്റെ മകനായി സോബരാജാവായ ഹദദേസെരിന്റെ കൊള്ളയിൽനിന്നും എടുത്തു വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ച വെള്ളിയോടും പൊന്നിനോടും കൂടെ യഹോവെക്കു വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു.

And David got him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് ഉപ്പുതാഴ്വരയിൽവെച്ചു പതിനെണ്ണായിരം അരാമ്യരെ സംഹരിച്ചു മടങ്ങിവന്നപ്പോൾ തനിക്കു കീർത്തി സമ്പാദിച്ചു.

And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And the LORD preserved David anywhere he went.അവൻ എദോമിൽ കാവല്പട്ടാളങ്ങളെ ആക്കി; എദോമിൽ എല്ലാടത്തും അവൻ കാവല്പട്ടാളങ്ങളെ പാർപ്പിച്ചു; എദോമ്യരൊക്കെയും ദാവീദിന്നു ദാസന്മാരായിത്തീർന്നു; ദാവീദ് ചെന്നേടത്തൊക്കെയും യഹോവ അവന്നു ജയം നല്കി.

And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.ഇങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിനെയും വാണു; ദാവീദ് തന്റെ സകലജനത്തിന്നും നീതിയും ന്യായവും നടത്തിക്കൊടുത്തു.

And Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the host; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;സെരൂയയുടെ മകൻ യോവാബ് സേനാധിപതിയും അഹീലൂദിന്റെ മകൻ യെഹോശാഫാത് മന്ത്രിയും ആയിരുന്നു.

And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were the priests; and Seraiah was the scribe;അഹീതൂബിന്റെ മകൻ സാദോക്കും അബ്യാഥാരിന്റെ മകൻ അഹീമേലെക്കും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും സെരായാ രായസക്കാരനും ആയിരുന്നു.

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief rulers.യഹോയാദയുടെ മകൻ ബെനായാവു ക്രേത്യർക്കും പ്ളേത്യർക്കും അധിപതി ആയിരുന്നു; ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോ പുരോഹിതന്മാരായിരുന്നു.

2 Samuel 9

And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?അനന്തരം ദാവീദ്: ഞാൻ യോനാഥാന്റെ നിമിത്തം ദയ കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ശൌലിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിൽ ആരെങ്കിലും ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു അന്വേഷിച്ചു.

And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Are you Ziba? And he said, Your servant is he.എന്നാൽ ശൌലിന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിൽ സീബാ എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരു ഭൃത്യൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവനെ ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തി; രാജാവു അവനോടു: നീ സീബയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അടിയൻ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan has yet a son, which is lame on his feet.ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദയ കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ശൌലിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിൽ ആരെങ്കിലും ഉണ്ടോ എന്നു രാജാവു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: രണ്ടു കാലും മുടന്തായിട്ടു യോനാഥാന്റെ ഒരു മകൻ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു സീബാ രാജാവിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.അവൻ എവിടെ എന്നു രാജാവു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: ലോദെബാരിൽ അമ്മീയേലിന്റെ മകനായ മാഖീരിന്റെ വീട്ടിലുണ്ടു എന്നു സീബാ രാജാവിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.അപ്പോൾ ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവു ആളയച്ചു, ലോദെബാരിൽ അമ്മീയേലിന്റെ മകനായ മാഖീരിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ നിന്നു അവനെ വരുത്തി.

Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold your servant!ശൌലിന്റെ മകനായ യോനാഥാന്റെ മകൻ മെഫീബോശെത്ത് ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു നമസ്കരിച്ചു. ദാവീദ്: മെഫീബോശെത്തേ എന്നു വിളിച്ചതിന്നു അടിയൻ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father's sake, and will restore you all the land of Saul your father; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.ദാവീദ് അവനോടു: ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ യോനാഥാന്റെ നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ദയകാണിച്ചു നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ശൌലിന്റെ നിലം ഒക്കെയും നിനക്കു മടക്കിത്തരുന്നു; നീയോ നിത്യം എന്റെ മേശയിങ്കൽ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And he bowed himself, and said, What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I am?അവൻ നമസ്കരിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു: ചത്ത നായെപ്പോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്ന അടിയനെ നീ കടാക്ഷിപ്പാൻ അടിയൻ എന്തുള്ളു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, I have given unto your master's son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.അപ്പോൾ രാജാവു ശൌലിന്റെ ഭൃത്യനായ സീബയെ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു അവനോടു കല്പിച്ചതു: ശൌലിന്നു അവന്റെ സകലഗൃഹത്തിന്നുമുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ മകന്നു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

You therefore, and your sons, and your servants, shall till the land for him, and you shall bring in the fruits, that your master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth your master's son shall eat bread always at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.നീയും നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും വേലക്കാരും നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ മകന്നു ഭക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ആഹാരമുണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്നുവേണ്ടി ആ നിലം കൃഷിചെയ്തു അനുഭവം എടുക്കേണം; നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ മകനായ മെഫീബോശെത്ത് നിത്യം എന്റെ മേശയിങ്കൽ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചുകൊള്ളും. എന്നാൽ സീബെക്കു പതിനഞ്ചുപുത്രന്മാരും ഇരുപതു വേലക്കാരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king has commanded his servant, so shall your servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.രാജാവായ യജമാനൻ അടിയനോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും അടിയൻ ചെയ്യും എന്നു സീബാ രാജാവിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. മെഫീബോശെത്തോ രാജകുമാരന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ എന്നപോലെ ദാവീദിന്റെ മേശയിങ്കൽ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചുപോന്നു.

And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.മെഫീബോശെത്തിന്നു ഒരു ചെറിയ മകൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന്നു മീഖാ എന്നു പേർ. സീബയുടെ വീട്ടിലുള്ളവരൊക്കെയും മെഫീബോശെത്തിന്നു ഭൃത്യന്മാരായ്തീർന്നു.

So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the king's table; and was lame on both his feet.ഇങ്ങനെ മെഫീബോശെത്ത് യെരൂശലേമിൽ തന്നേ വസിച്ചു രാജാവിന്റെ മേശയിങ്കൽ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചുപോന്നു; അവന്നു കാലു രണ്ടും മുടന്തായിരുന്നു.
