Genesis 45

Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.അപ്പോൾ ചുറ്റും നില്ക്കുന്നവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ തന്നെത്താൻ അടക്കുവാൻ വഹിയാതെ: എല്ലാവരെയും എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു പുറത്താക്കുവിൻ എന്നു യോസേഫ് വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു. ഇങ്ങനെ യോസേഫ് തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർക്കു തന്നെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയപ്പോൾ ആരും അടുക്കൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.അവൻ ഉച്ചത്തിൽ കരഞ്ഞു; മിസ്രയീമ്യരും ഫറവോന്റെ ഗൃഹവും അതു കേട്ടു.

And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; does my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.യോസേഫ് സഹോദരന്മാരോടു: ഞാൻ യോസേഫ് ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ അപ്പൻ ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോയതുകൊണ്ടു അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറവാൻ അവർക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom all of you sold into Egypt.യോസേഫ് സഹോദരന്മാരോടു: ഇങ്ങോട്ടു അടുത്തുവരുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ അടുത്തുചെന്നപ്പോൾ അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു; നിങ്ങൾ മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു വിറ്റുകളഞ്ഞ നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരൻ യോസേഫ് ആകുന്നു ഞാൻ.

Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that all of you sold me here: for God did send me before you to preserve life.എന്നെ ഇവിടെ വിറ്റതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾ വ്യസനിക്കേണ്ടാ, വിഷാദിക്കയും വേണ്ടാ; ജീവരക്ഷക്കായി ദൈവം എന്നെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു മുമ്പെ അയച്ചതാകുന്നു.

For these two years has the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earring nor harvest.ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു ഇപ്പോൾ രണ്ടു സംവത്സരമായി; ഉഴവും കൊയ്ത്തും ഇല്ലാത്ത അഞ്ചു സംവത്സരം ഇനിയും ഉണ്ടു.

And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.ഭൂമിയിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു സന്തതി ശേഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും വലിയോരു രക്ഷയാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ദൈവം എന്നെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു മുമ്പെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

So now it was not you that sent me here, but God: and he has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ അല്ല, ദൈവം അത്രേ എന്നെ ഇവിടെ അയച്ചതു; അവൻ എന്നെ ഫറവോന്നു പിതാവും അവന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു ഒക്കെയും യജമാനനും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്നൊക്കെയും അധിപതിയും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Haste all of you, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus says your son Joseph, God has made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:നിങ്ങൾ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു എന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: നിന്റെ മകനായ യോസേഫ് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുന്നു: ദൈവം എന്നെ മിസ്രയീമിന്നൊക്കെയും അധിപതിയാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ താമസിയാതെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരേണം.

And you shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near unto me, you, and your children, and your children's children, and your flocks, and your herds, and all that you have:നീ ഗോശെൻ ദേശത്തു പാർത്തു എനിക്കു സമീപമായിരിക്കും; നീയും മക്കളും മക്കളുടെ മക്കളും നിന്റെ ആടുകളും കന്നുകാലികളും നിനക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും തന്നേ.

And there will I nourish you; for yet there are five years of famine; lest you, and your household, and all that you have, come to poverty.നിനക്കും കുടുംബത്തിന്നും നിനക്കുള്ള സകലത്തിന്നും ദാരിദ്ര്യം നേരിടാതവണ്ണം ഞാൻ അവിടെ നിന്നെ പോഷിപ്പിക്കും; ക്ഷാമം ഇനിയും അഞ്ചു സംവത്സരം നില്ക്കും.

And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaks unto you.ഇതാ, ഞാൻ തന്നേ നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങളും എന്റെ അനുജൻ ബെന്യാമീനും കണ്ണാലെ കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

And all of you shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that all of you have seen; and all of you shall haste and bring down my father here.മിസ്രയീമിൽ എനിക്കുള്ള മഹത്വവും നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടതൊക്കെയും അപ്പനെ അറിയിക്കേണം; എന്റെ അപ്പനെ വേഗത്തിൽ ഇവിടെ കൊണ്ടുവരികയും വേണം.

And he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.അവൻ തന്റെ അനുജൻ ബെന്യാമീനെ കെട്ടിപ്പിടിച്ചു കരഞ്ഞു; ബെന്യാമീൻ അവനെയും കെട്ടിപ്പിടിച്ചു കരഞ്ഞു.

Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him.അവൻ സഹോദരന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും ചുംബിച്ചു കെട്ടിപ്പിടിച്ചു കരഞ്ഞു; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം സഹോദരന്മാർ അവനുമായി സല്ലാപിച്ചു.

And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying, Joseph's brethren are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.യോസേഫിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നുള്ള കേൾവി ഫറവോന്റെ അരമനയിൽ എത്തി; അതു ഫറവോന്നും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർക്കും സന്തോഷമായി.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto your brethren, This do all of you; load your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan;ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടു നീ പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: നിങ്ങൾ ഇതു ചെയ്‍വിൻ: നിങ്ങളുടെ മൃഗങ്ങളുടെ പുറത്തു ചുമടുകയറ്റി പുറപ്പെട്ടു കനാൻ ദേശത്തു ചെന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ

And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and all of you shall eat the fat of the land.അപ്പനെയും കുടുംബങ്ങളെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവിൻ; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു മിസ്രയീംരാജ്യത്തിലെ നന്മ തരും; ദേശത്തിന്റെ പുഷ്ടി നിങ്ങൾ അനുഭവിക്കും.

Now you are commanded, this do all of you; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.നിനക്കു കല്പന തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇതാകുന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതു: നിങ്ങളുടെ പൈതങ്ങൾക്കും ഭാര്യമാർക്കും വേണ്ടി മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു നിന്നു രഥങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുപോയി നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പനെ കയറ്റി കൊണ്ടുവരേണം.

Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt are yours.നിങ്ങളുടെ സാമാനങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു ചിന്തിക്കേണ്ടാ; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെങ്ങുമുള്ള നന്മ നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു.

And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തു; യേസേഫ് അവർക്കു ഫറവോന്റെ കല്പന പ്രകാരം രഥങ്ങൾ കൊടുത്തു; വഴിക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന ആഹാരവും കൊടുത്തു.

To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment.അവരിൽ ഓരോരുത്തന്നു ഓരോ വസ്ത്രവും ബെന്യാമീന്നോ മുന്നൂറു വെള്ളിക്കാശും അഞ്ചു വസ്ത്രവും കൊടുത്തു.

And to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and food for his father by the way.അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ അവൻ തന്റെ അപ്പന്നു പത്തു കഴുതപ്പുറത്തു മിസ്രയീമിലെ വിശേഷ സാധനങ്ങളും പത്തു പെൺകഴുതപ്പുറത്തു വഴിച്ചെലവിന്നു ധാന്യവും ആഹാരവും കയറ്റി അയച്ചു.

So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that all of you fall not out by the way.അങ്ങനെ അവൻ തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ യാത്ര അയച്ചു; അവർ പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ: നിങ്ങൾ വഴിയിൽ വെച്ചു ശണ്ഠകൂടരുതെന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father,അവർ മിസ്രയീമിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു കനാൻ ദേശത്തു അപ്പനായ യാക്കോബിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എത്തി.

²⁶

And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob's heart fainted, for he believed them not.അവനോടു: യോസേഫ് ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്നൊക്കെയും അധിപതിയാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ യാക്കോബ് സ്തംഭിച്ചുപോയി; അവർ പറഞ്ഞതു വിശ്വസിച്ചതുമില്ല.

And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:യോസേഫ് തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞവാക്കുകളൊക്കെയും അവർ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു; തന്നെ കയറ്റികൊണ്ടു പോകുവാൻ യോസേഫ് അയച്ച രഥങ്ങളെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ അപ്പനായ യാക്കോബിന്നു വീണ്ടും ചൈതന്യം വന്നു.

And Israel said, It is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.മതി; എന്റെ മകൻ യേസേഫ് ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ മരിക്കുംമുമ്പെ അവനെ പോയി കാണും എന്നു യിസ്രായേൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

Genesis 46

And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.അനന്തരം യിസ്രായേൽ തനിക്കുള്ള സകലവുമായി യാത്ര പുറപ്പെട്ടു ബേർ-ശേബയിൽ എത്തി തന്റെ പിതാവായ യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു യാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

And God spoke unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.ദൈവം യിസ്രായേലിനോടു രാത്രി ദർശനങ്ങളിൽ: യാക്കോബേ, യാക്കോബേ എന്നു വിളിച്ചതിന്നു ഞാൻ ഇതാ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

And he said, I am God, the God of your father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of you a great nation:അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: ഞാൻ ദൈവം ആകുന്നു; നിന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ദൈവം തന്നേ; മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു പോകുവാൻ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; അവിടെ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വലിയ ജാതിയാക്കും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

I will go down with you into Egypt; and I will also surely bring you up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon yours eyes.ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു പോരും; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ മടക്കി വരുത്തും; യോസേഫ് സ്വന്തകൈകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ കണ്ണു അടെക്കും എന്നും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.പിന്നെ യാക്കോബ് ബേർ-ശേബയിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ അപ്പനായ യാക്കോബിനെ കയറ്റുവാൻ ഫറവോൻ അയച്ച രഥങ്ങളിൽ അവനെയും തങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളെയും ഭാര്യമാരെയും കയറ്റി കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had got in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:തങ്ങളുടെ ആടുമാടുകളെയും കനാൻ ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു സമ്പാദിച്ച സമ്പത്തുകളെയും കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അങ്ങനെ യാക്കോബും സന്തതികളുമെല്ലാം മിസ്രയീമിൽ എത്തി.

His sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.അവൻ തന്റെ പുത്രിപുത്രന്മാരെയും പൌത്രിപൌത്രന്മാരെയും തന്റെ സന്തതികളെയൊക്കെയും കൂട്ടി മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

And these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn.മിസ്രയീമിൽ വന്ന യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ പേരുകൾ ആവിതു: യാക്കോബും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും; യാക്കോബിന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനായ രൂബേൻ.

And the sons of Reuben; Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.രൂബേന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഹാനോക്, ഫല്ലൂ, ഹെസ്രോൻ, കർമ്മി.

And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.ശിമെയോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: യെമൂവേൽ, യാമീൻ, ഓഹദ്, യാഖീൻ, സോഹർ, കനാന്യക്കാരത്തിയുടെ മകനായ ശൌൽ.

And the sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.ലേവിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഗേർശോൻ, കഹാത്ത്, മെരാരി.

And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zarah: but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.യെഹൂദയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ഏർ, ഓനാൻ, ശേലാ, പേരെസ്, സേരഹ്; എന്നാൽ ഏർ ഓനാൻ എന്നിവർ കനാൻ ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു മരിച്ചുപോയി. പേരെസിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ:

And the sons of Issachar; Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.ഹെസ്രോൻ, ഹാമൂൽ. യിസ്സാഖാരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: തോലാ, പുവ്വാ, യോബ്, ശിമ്രോൻ.

And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.സെബൂലൂന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: സേരെദ്, ഏലോൻ, യഹ്ളെയേൽ.

These be the sons of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob in Padanaram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.ഇവർ ലേയയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ; അവൾ അവരെയും യാക്കോബിന്റെ മകളായ ദീനയെയും അവന്നു പദ്ദൻ-അരാമിൽവെച്ചു പ്രസവിച്ചു; അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും എല്ലാം കൂടെ മുപ്പത്തുമൂന്നു പേർ ആയിരുന്നു.

And the sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.ഗാദിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: സിഫ്യോൻ, ഹഗ്ഗീ, ശൂനീ, എസ്ബോൻ, ഏരി, അരോദീ, അരേലീ.

And the sons of Asher; Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister: and the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel.ആശേരിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: യിമ്നാ, യിശ്വാ, യിശ്വീ, ബെരീയാ; ഇവരുടെ സഹോദരി സേരഹ്. ബെരീയാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ:

These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bare unto Jacob, even sixteen souls.ഹേബെർ, മൽക്കീയേൽ. ഇവർ ലാബാൻ തന്റെ മകളായ ലേയെക്കു കൊടുത്ത സില്പയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ; അവൾ യാക്കോബിന്നു ഈ പതിനാറു പേരെ പ്രസവിച്ചു.

The sons of Rachel Jacob's wife; Joseph, and Benjamin.യാക്കോബിന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ റാഹേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ:

And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him.യോസേഫ്, ബെന്യാമീൻ. യോസേഫിന്നു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു മനശ്ശെയും എഫ്രയീമും ജനിച്ചു; അവരെ ഓനിലെ പുരോഹിതനായ പോത്തിഫേറയുടെ മകളായ ആസ്നത്ത് അവന്നു പ്രസവിച്ചു.

And the sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.ബെന്യാമിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ: ബേല, ബേഖെർ, അശ്ബെൽ, ഗേരാ, നാമാൻ, ഏഹീ, രോശ്, മുപ്പീം, ഹുപ്പീം, ആരെദ്.

These are the sons of Rachel, which were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.ഇവർ റാഹേൽ യാക്കോബിന്നു പ്രസവിച്ച പുത്രന്മാർ; എല്ലാംകൂടെ പതിന്നാലു പേർ.

And the sons of Dan; Hushim.ദാന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഹൂശീം.

And the sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.നഫ്താലിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ: യഹസേൽ, ഗൂനീ, യേസെർ, ശില്ലോ.

These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto Jacob: all the souls were seven.ഇവർ ലാബാൻ തന്റെ മകളായ റാഹേലിന്നു കൊടുത്ത ബിൽഹയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ; അവൾ യാക്കോബിന്നു ഇവരെ പ്രസവിച്ചു; എല്ലാംകൂടെ ഏഴുപേർ.

All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore and six;യാക്കോബിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരെ കൂടാതെ അവന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തുനിന്നു ജനിച്ചവരായി അവനോടുകൂടെ മിസ്രയീമിൽ വന്നവർ ആകെ അറുപത്താറു പേർ.

And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.യോസേഫിന്നു മിസ്രയീമിൽവെച്ചു ജനിച്ച പുത്രന്മാർ രണ്ടുപേർ; മിസ്രയീമിൽ വന്നരായ യാക്കോബിന്റെ കുടുംബം ആകെ എഴുപതു പേർ.

And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.എന്നാൽ ഗോശെനിലേക്കു യോസേഫ് തനിക്കു വഴി കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ യെഹൂദയെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മുമ്പിട്ടു അയച്ചു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ ഗോശെൻ ദേശത്തു എത്തി.

And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.യോസേഫ് രഥം കെട്ടിച്ചു അപ്പനായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ എതിരേല്പാൻ ഗോശെനിലേക്കു പോയി, അവനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ കെട്ടിപ്പിടിച്ചു ഏറെനേരം കരഞ്ഞു.

And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen your face, because you are yet alive.യിസ്രായെൽ യോസേഫിനോടു: നീ ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മുഖം കണ്ടറിഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നേ മരിച്ചാലും വേണ്ടതില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's house, I will go up, and show Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father's house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;പിന്നെ യോസേഫ് സഹോദരന്മാരോടും അപ്പന്റെ കുടുംബത്തോടും പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞാൻ ചെന്നു ഫറവോനോടു: കനാൻ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും അപ്പന്റെ കുടുംബവും എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിയിക്കും.

And the men are shepherds, for their trade has been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.അവർ ഇടയന്മാർ ആകുന്നു; കന്നുകാലികളെ മേയക്കുന്നതു അവരുടെ തൊഴിൽ; അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ആടുകളെയും കന്നുകാലികളെയും തങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നിട്ടുണ്ടു എന്നു അവനോടു പറയും.

And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?അതുകൊണ്ടു ഫറവോൻ നിങ്ങളെ വിളിച്ചു: നിങ്ങളുടെ തൊഴിൽ എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിക്കുമ്പോൾ:

Genesis 47

Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen.അങ്ങനെ യോസേഫ് ചെന്നു: എന്റെ അപ്പനും സഹോദരന്മാരും അവരുടെ ആടുകളും കന്നുകാലികളും അവർക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും കനാൻ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു വന്നു; ഗോശെൻ ദേശത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഫറവോനെ ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh.പിന്നെ അവൻ തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരിൽ അഞ്ചുപേരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു ഫറവോന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിർത്തി.

And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Your servants are shepherds, both we, and also our fathers.അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോൻ അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടു: നിങ്ങളുടെ തൊഴിൽ എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവർ ഫറവോനോടു: അടിയങ്ങളും അടിയങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും ഇടയന്മാരാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

They said moreover unto Pharaoh, In order to sojourn in the land are we come; for your servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray you, let your servants dwell in the land of Goshen.ദേശത്തു താമസിപ്പാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; കനാൻ ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമം കഠിനമായിരിക്കയാൽ അടിയങ്ങളുടെ ആടുകൾക്കു മേച്ചലില്ല; അടിയങ്ങൾ ഗോശെൻ ദേശത്തു പാർത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ എന്നും അവർ ഫറവോനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Pharaoh spoke unto Joseph, saying, Your father and your brethren are come unto you:ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിനോടു: നിന്റെ അപ്പനും സഹോദരന്മാരും നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

The land of Egypt is before you; in the best of the land make your father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if you know any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle.മിസ്രയീംദേശം നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ദേശത്തിലേക്കും നല്ലഭാഗത്തു നിന്റെ അപ്പനെയും സഹോദരന്മാരെയും പാർപ്പിക്ക; അവർ ഗോശെൻ ദേശത്തുതന്നേ പാർത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ. അവരിൽ പ്രാപ്തന്മാർ ഉണ്ടെന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവരെ എന്റെ ആടുമാടുകളുടെ മേൽ വിചാരകന്മാരാക്കി വെക്കുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.യേസേഫ് തന്റെ അപ്പനായ യാക്കോബിനെയും അകത്തു കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു, അവനെ ഫറവോന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിർത്തി,

And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.യാക്കോബ് ഫറവോനോടു: എന്റെ പരദേശപ്രയാണത്തിന്റെ കാലം നൂറ്റിമുപ്പതു സംവത്സരം ആയിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ചുരുക്കവും കഷ്ടമുള്ളതും അത്രേ; എന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ പരദേശപ്രയാണമായ ആയുഷ്കാലത്തോളം എത്തീട്ടുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.അനന്തരം യോസേഫ് തന്റെ അപ്പനെയും സഹോദരന്മാരെയും കുടിപാർപ്പിച്ചു; ഫറവോൻ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവർക്കു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിലേക്കും നല്ല ഭാഗമായ രമെസേസ് ദേശത്തു അവകാശവും കൊടുത്തു.

And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father's household, with bread, according to their families.യോസെഫ് തന്റെ അപ്പനെയും സഹോദരന്മാരെയും അപ്പന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെ ഒക്കെയും കുഞ്ഞുകുട്ടികളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിന്നു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ആഹാരം കൊടുത്തു രക്ഷിച്ചു.

And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine.എന്നാൽ ക്ഷാമം ഏറ്റവും കഠിനമായിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ദേശത്തെങ്ങും ആഹാരമില്ലാതെയായി മിസ്രയീംദേശവും കനാൻ ദേശവും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടു വലഞ്ഞു.

And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh's house.ജനങ്ങൾ വാങ്ങിയ ധാന്യത്തിന്നു വിലയായി യോസേഫ് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തും കനാൻ ദേശത്തുമുള്ള പണം ഒക്കെയും ശേഖരിച്ചു; പണം യോസേഫ് ഫറവോന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in your presence? for the money fails.മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തും കനാൻ ദേശത്തും പണം ഇല്ലാതെയായപ്പോൾ മിസ്രയീമ്യർ ഒക്കെയും യോസേഫിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: ഞങ്ങൾക്കു ആഹാരം തരേണം; ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ കിടന്നു മരിക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു? പണം തീർന്നുപോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail.അതിന്നു യോസേഫ്: നിങ്ങളുടെ ആടുമാടുകളെ തരുവിൻ; പണം തീർന്നുപോയെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ആടുമാടുകളെ വിലയായി വാങ്ങി ഞാൻ തരാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses: and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year.അങ്ങനെ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ കന്നുകാലികളെ യോസേഫിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; കുതിര, ആടു, കന്നുകാലി, കഴുത എന്നിവയെ യോസേഫ് വിലയായി വാങ്ങി അവർക്കു ആഹാരം കൊടുത്തു; ആയാണ്ടിൽ അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലികളെ എല്ലാം വാങ്ങി ആഹാരം കൊടുത്തു അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also has our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands:ആ ആണ്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞു പിറ്റെ ആണ്ടിൽ അവർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞങ്ങളുടെ പണം ചെലവായി, മൃഗക്കൂട്ടങ്ങളും യജമാനന്നു ചേർന്നു; ഞങ്ങളുടെ ശരീരങ്ങളും നിലങ്ങളുമല്ലാതെ യജമാനന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഒന്നും ശേഷിപ്പില്ല എന്നുള്ളതു യജമാനനെ ഞങ്ങൾ മറെക്കുന്നില്ല.

Wherefore shall we die before yours eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate.ഞങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങളുടെ നിലവും നിന്റെ കണ്ണിന്നു മുമ്പിൽ എന്തിന്നു നശിക്കുന്നു? നീ ഞങ്ങളെയും നിലത്തെയും ആഹാരത്തിന്നു വിലയായി വാങ്ങേണം. ഞങ്ങൾ നിലവുമായി ഫറവോന്നു അടിമകൾ ആകട്ടെ. ഞങ്ങൾ മരിക്കാതെ ജീവനോടിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നിലം ശൂന്യമായി പോകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വിത്തു തരേണം.

And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh's.അങ്ങനെ യോസേഫ് മിസ്രയീമിലെ നിലം ഒക്കെയും ഫറവോന്നു വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങി; ക്ഷാമം പ്രബലപ്പെടുകകൊണ്ടു മിസ്രയീമ്യർ തങ്ങളുടെ നിലം വിറ്റു; നിലമെല്ലാം ഫറവോന്നു ആയി.

And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof.ജനങ്ങളേയോ അവൻ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്റെ അറ്റംമുതൽ അറ്റംവരെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലേക്കു കുടിനീക്കി പാർപ്പിച്ചു.

Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands.പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ നിലം മാത്രം അവൻ വാങ്ങിയില്ല; പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കു ഫറവോൻ അവകാശം കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു; ഫറവോൻ അവർക്കു കൊടുത്ത അവകാശം കൊണ്ടു അവർ ഉപജീവനം കഴിച്ചതിനാൽ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ നിലം വിറ്റില്ല.

Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and all of you shall sow the land.യോസേഫ് ജനങ്ങളോടു: ഞാൻ ഇന്നു നിങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ നിലത്തെയും ഫറവോന്നു വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിത്തു ഇതാ; നിലം വിതെച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.

And it shall come to pass in the increase, that all of you shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.വിളവെടുക്കുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ ഫറവോന്നു അഞ്ചിലൊന്നു കൊടുക്കേണം; നാലോഹരിയോ, വിത്തിന്നു വിത്തായിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിലുള്ളവർക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ കുഞ്ഞുകുട്ടികൾക്കും ആഹാരമായിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നേ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And they said, You have saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh's servants.അതിന്നു അവർ: നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ജീവനെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; യജമാനന്നു ഞങ്ങളോടു ദയയുണ്ടായാൽ മതി; ഞങ്ങൾ ഫറവോന്നു അടിമകളായിക്കൊള്ളാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part, except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh's.അഞ്ചിലൊന്നു ഫറവൊന്നു ചെല്ലേണം എന്നിങ്ങിനെ യോസേഫ് മിസ്രയീമിലെ നിലങ്ങളെ സംബന്ധിച്ചുവെച്ച ചട്ടം ഇന്നുവരെയും നടപ്പാകുന്നു. പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ നിലം മാത്രം ഫറവോന്നു ചേർന്നിട്ടില്ല.

And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly.യിസ്രായേൽ മിസ്രയീംരാജ്യത്തിലെ ഗോശെൻ ദേശത്തു പാർത്തു; അവിടെ അവകാശം സമ്പാദിച്ചു, ഏറ്റവും സന്താനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവരായി പെരുകിവന്നു.

But I will lie with my fathers, and you shall carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their buryingplace. And he said, Swear unto me. And he swore unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed's head.എന്നോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ക എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു; അവൻ സത്യവും ചെയ്തു; അപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേൽ കട്ടിലിന്റെ തലെക്കൽ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

Genesis 48

And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,യാക്കോബ് യോസേഫിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: സർവ്വശക്തിയുള്ള ദൈവം കനാൻ ദേശത്തിലെ ലൂസ്സിൽവെച്ചു എനിക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി എന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു,

And said unto me, Behold, I will make you fruitful, and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people; and will give this land to your seed after you for an everlasting possession.എന്നോടു: ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സന്താനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവനാക്കി പെരുക്കി നിന്നെ ജനസമൂഹമാക്കുകയും നിന്റെ ശേഷം നിന്റെ സന്തതിക്കു ഈ ദേശം ശാശ്വതാവകാശമായി കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto you in the land of Egypt before I came unto you into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.മിസ്രയീമിൽ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഞാൻ വരുംമുമ്പെ നിനക്കു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുവെച്ചു ജനിച്ച രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാരായ മനശ്ശെയും എഫ്രയീമും എനിക്കുള്ളവർ ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ; രൂബേനും ശിമെയോനും എന്നപോലെ അവർ എനിക്കുള്ളവരായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

And your issue, which you brought forth after them, shall be yours, and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance.ഇവരുടെ ശേഷം നിനക്കു ജനിക്കുന്ന സന്തതിയോ നിനക്കുള്ളവരായിരിക്കട്ടെ; അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ അവകാശത്തിൽ തങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ പേരിൻ പ്രകാരം വിളിക്കപ്പെടട്ടെ.

And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Bethlehem.ഞാൻ പദ്ദനിൽനിന്നു വരുമ്പോൾ, കനാൻ ദേശത്തു എഫ്രാത്തിൽ എത്തുവാൻ അല്പം ദൂരം മാത്രമുള്ളപ്പോൾ വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു റാഹേൽ മരിച്ചു; ഞാൻ അവളെ അവിടെ ബേത്ത്ളേഹെം എന്ന എഫ്രാത്തിന്നുള്ള വഴിയരികെ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു.

And Israel beheld Joseph's sons, and said, Who are these?യിസ്രായേൽ യോസേഫിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ കണ്ടുപ്പോൾ: ഇവർ ആരെന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God has given me in this place. Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ കണ്ണു വയസ്സുകൊണ്ടു മങ്ങി കാണ്മാൻ വഹിയാതിരുന്നു; അവരെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നപ്പോൾ അവൻ അവരെ ചുംബിച്ചു ആലിംഗനം ചെയ്തു.

And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see your face: and, lo, God has showed me also your seed.യിസ്രായേൽ യോസേഫിനോടു: നിന്റെ മുഖം കാണുമെന്നു ഞാൻ വിചാരിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല; എന്നാൽ നിന്റെ സന്തതിയെയും കാണ്മാൻ ദൈവം എനിക്കു സംഗതിവരുത്തിയല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.യോസേഫ് അവരെ അവന്റെ മുഴങ്കാലുകൾക്കിടയിൽ നിന്നു മാറ്റി സാഷ്ടാംഗം നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near unto him.പിന്നെ യോസേഫ് എഫ്രയീമിനെ വലങ്കൈകൊണ്ടു പിടിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഇടങ്കൈക്കു നേരെയും മനശ്ശെയെ ഇടങ്കൈകൊണ്ടു പിടിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ വലങ്കൈക്കു നേരെയുമായി ഇങ്ങനെ രണ്ടുപേരെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു.

And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, guiding his hands wisely; for Manasseh was the firstborn.യിസ്രായേൽ വലങ്കൈ നീട്ടി ഇളയവനായ എഫ്രയീമിന്റെ തലയിലും ഇടങ്കൈ മൂത്തവനായ മനശ്ശെയുടെ തലയിലുമായി അങ്ങനെ തന്റെ കൈകളെ പിണെച്ചുവെച്ചു.

And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,പിന്നെ അവൻ യോസേഫിനെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു: എന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരായ അബ്രാഹാമും യിശ്ഹാക്കും ഭജിച്ചുപോന്ന ദൈവം, ഞാൻ ജനിച്ച നാൾമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെയും എന്നെ പുലർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം,

The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.എന്നെ സകലദോഷങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും വിടുവിച്ച ദൂതൻ ഈ കുട്ടികളെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ; എന്റെ പേരും എന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരായ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെയും പേരും ഇവരിൽ നിലനില്ക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ; അവർ ഭൂമിയിൽ കൂട്ടമായി വർദ്ധിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head.അപ്പൻ വലങ്കൈ എഫ്രയീമിന്റെ തലയിൽവെച്ചു എന്നു യോസേഫ് കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവന്നു അനിഷ്ടം തോന്നി; അപ്പന്റെ കൈ എഫ്രയീമിന്റെ തലയിൽനിന്നു മനശ്ശെയുടെ തലയിൽ മാറ്റിവെപ്പാൻ പിടിച്ചു.

And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put your right hand upon his head.യോസേഫ് അപ്പനോടു: അങ്ങനെയല്ല, എന്റെ അപ്പാ; ഇവനല്ലോ ആദ്യജാതൻ; ഇവന്റെ തലയിൽ വലങ്കൈ വെക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.എന്നാൽ അവന്റെ അപ്പൻ സമ്മതിക്കാതെ എനിക്കു അറിയാം; മകനേ, എനിക്കു അറിയാം; ഇവനും ഒരു വലിയ ജനമായിത്തീരും, ഇവനും വർദ്ധിക്കും; എങ്കിലും അനുജൻ അവനെക്കാൾ അധികം വർദ്ധിക്കും; അവന്റെ സന്തതി ജനസമൂഹമായ്തീരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And he blessed them that day, saying, In you shall Israel bless, saying, God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.അങ്ങനെ അവൻ അന്നു അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു: ദൈവം നിന്നെ എഫ്രയീമിനെയും മനശ്ശെയെയുംപോലെ ആക്കുമാറാകട്ട എന്നു യിസ്രായേല്യർ നിന്റെ പേർ ചൊല്ലി അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും. എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എഫ്രയീമിനെ മനശ്ശെക്കു മുമ്പാക്കി.

And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.യോസേഫിനോടു യിസ്രായേൽ പറഞ്ഞതു: ഇതാ, ഞാൻ മരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവം നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു നിങ്ങളെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദേശത്തേക്കു മടക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോകും.

Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.എന്റെ വാളും വില്ലുംകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അമോർയ്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു പിടിച്ചടക്കിയ മലഞ്ചരിവു ഞാൻ നിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഓഹരിയിൽ കവിഞ്ഞതായി നിനക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
