Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, opposite to the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, opposite to the gate of the house.മൂന്നാം ദിവസം എസ്ഥേർ രാജവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു രാജധാനിയുടെ അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരത്തിൽ ചെന്നു രാജഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ നേരെ നിന്നു; രാജാവു രാജധാനിയിൽ രാജഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നു നേരെ തന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കയായിരുന്നു.

And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.എസ്ഥേർരാജ്ഞി പ്രാകാരത്തിൽ നില്ക്കുന്നതു രാജാവു കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവന്നു അവളോടു കൃപതോന്നി തന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഇരുന്ന പൊൻചെങ്കോൽ രാജാവു എസ്ഥേരിന്റെ നേരെ നീട്ടി; എസ്ഥേർ അടുത്തുചെന്നു ചെങ്കോലിന്റെ അഗ്രം തൊട്ടു.

Then said the king unto her, What will you, queen Esther? and what is your request? it shall be even given you to the half of the kingdom.രാജാവു അവളോടു: എസ്ഥേർരാജ്ഞിയേ, എന്തു വേണം? എന്താകുന്നു നിന്റെ അപേക്ഷ? രാജ്യത്തിൽ പാതിയോളമായാലും നിനക്കു തരാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him.അതിന്നു എസ്ഥേർ: രാജാവിന്നു തിരുവുള്ളം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു ഞാൻ ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന വിരുന്നിന്നു രാജാവും ഹാമാനും ഇന്നു വരേണം എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

Then the king said, Cause Haman to make haste, that he may do as Esther has said. So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther had prepared.എസ്ഥേർ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ചെയ്‍വാൻ ഹാമാനെ വേഗം വരുത്തുവിൻ എന്നു രാജാവു കല്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ രാജാവും ഹാമാനും എസ്ഥേർ ഒരുക്കിയ വിരുന്നിന്നു ചെന്നു.

And the king said unto Esther at the banquet of wine, What is your petition? and it shall be granted you: and what is your request? even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed.വീഞ്ഞുവിരുന്നിൽ രാജാവു എസ്ഥേരിനോടു: നിന്റെ അപേക്ഷ എന്തു? അതു നിനക്കു ലഭിക്കും; നിന്റെ ആഗ്രഹവും എന്തു? രാജ്യത്തിൽ പാതിയോളമായാലും അതു നിവർത്തിച്ചുതരാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then answered Esther, and said, My petition and my request is;അതിന്നു എസ്ഥേർ: എന്റെ അപേക്ഷയും ആഗ്രഹവും ഇതാകുന്നു:

If I have found favour in the sight of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I shall prepare for them, and I will do tomorrow as the king has said.രാജാവിന്നു എന്നോടു കൃപയുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ നല്കുവാനും എന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം നിവർത്തിപ്പാനും രാജാവിന്നു തിരുവുള്ളം ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ രാജാവും ഹാമാനും ഞാൻ ഇനിയും ഒരുക്കുന്ന വിരുന്നിന്നു വരേണം; നാളെ ഞാൻ രാജാവു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തുകൊള്ളാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate, that he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai.അന്നു ഹാമാൻ സന്തോഷവും ആനന്ദവുമുള്ളവനായി പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി; എന്നാൽ രാജാവിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കൽ മൊർദ്ദെഖായി എഴുന്നേൽക്കാതെയും തന്നെ കൂശാതെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു ഹാമാൻ മൊർദ്ദെഖായിയുടെ നേരെ കോപം നിറഞ്ഞു.

Nevertheless Haman refrained himself: and when he came home, he sent and called for his friends, and Zeresh his wife.എങ്കിലും ഹാമാൻ തന്നെത്താൻ അടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു തന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നു സ്നേഹിതന്മാരെയും ഭാര്യയായ സേരെശിനെയും വിളിപ്പിച്ചു.

And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.ഹാമാൻ അവരോടു തന്റെ ധനമാഹാത്മ്യവും പുത്രബഹുത്വവും രാജാവു തനിക്കു നല്കിയ ഉന്നതപദവിയും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർക്കും രാജഭൃത്യന്മാർക്കും മേലായി തന്നെ ഉയർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നതും വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and tomorrow am I invited unto her also with the king.എസ്ഥേർരാജ്ഞിയും താൻ ഒരുക്കിയ വിരുന്നിന്നു എന്നെയല്ലാതെ മറ്റാരെയും രാജാവിനോടുകൂടെ ചെല്ലുവാൻ അനുവദിച്ചില്ല; നാളെയും രാജാവിനോടുകൂടെ വിരുന്നിന്നു ചെല്ലുവാൻ എന്നെ ക്ഷണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Yet all this avails me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate.എങ്കിലും യെഹൂദനായ മൊർദ്ദെഖായി രാജാവിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു കാണുന്നേടത്തോളം ഇതൊന്നുംകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു ഒരു തൃപ്തിയും ഇല്ല എന്നും ഹാമാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and tomorrow speak you unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go you in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.അതിന്നു അവന്റെ ഭാര്യ സേരെശും അവന്റെ സകല സ്നേഹിതന്മാരും അവനോടു: അമ്പതു മുഴം ഉയരമുള്ള ഒരു കഴുമരം ഉണ്ടാക്കട്ടെ; മൊർദ്ദെഖായിയെ അതിന്മേൽ തൂക്കിക്കളയേണ്ടതിന്നു നാളെ രാവിലെ നീ രാജാവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കേണം; പിന്നെ നിനക്കു സന്തോഷമായി രാജാവിനോടുകൂടെ വിരുന്നിന്നു പോകാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഈ കാര്യം ഹാമാന്നു ബോധിച്ചു; അവൻ കഴുമരം ഉണ്ടാക്കിച്ചു.

Esther 6

On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.അന്നു രാത്രി രാജാവിന്നു ഉറക്കം വരായ്കയാൽ അവൻ ദിനവൃത്താന്തങ്ങൾ കുറിച്ചുവെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന പുസ്തകം കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ കല്പിച്ചു; അതു രാജാവിനെ വായിച്ചു കോൾപ്പിച്ചു;

And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.ഉമ്മരിപ്പടി കാവൽക്കാരായി രാജാവിന്റെ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരിൽ ബിഗ്ദ്ധാനാ, തേരെശ് എന്നീ രണ്ടുപേർ അഹശ്വേരോശ്‌രാജാവിനെ കയ്യേറ്റം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചിരുന്ന സംഗതി മൊർദ്ദെഖായി അറിവു തന്നപ്രകാരം അതിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.

And the king said, What honour and dignity has been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.ഇതിന്നു വേണ്ടി മൊർദ്ദെഖായിക്കു എന്തു ബഹുമാനവും പദവിയും കൊടുത്തു എന്നു രാജാവു ചോദിച്ചു. ഒന്നും കൊടുത്തിട്ടില്ല എന്നു രാജാവിനെ സേവിച്ചുനിന്ന ഭൃത്യന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞു.

And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.പ്രാകാരത്തിൽ ആരുള്ളു എന്നു രാജാവു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ ഹാമാൻ മൊർദ്ദെഖായിക്കു വേണ്ടി താൻ തീർപ്പിച്ച കഴുവിന്മേൽ അവനെ തൂക്കിക്കളയേണ്ടതിന്നു രാജാവിനോടു അപേക്ഷിപ്പാൻ രാജധാനിയുടെ പുറത്തു പ്രാകാരത്തിൽ വന്നു നിൽക്കയായിരുന്നു.

And the king's servants said unto him, Behold, Haman stands in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.രാജാവിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ അവനോടു: ഹാമാൻ പ്രാകാരത്തിൽ നില്ക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവൻ അകത്തു വരട്ടെ എന്നു രാജാവു കല്പിച്ചു.

So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delights to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?ഹാമാൻ അകത്തു വന്നപ്പോൾ രാജാവു അവനോടു: രാജാവു ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷന്നു എന്തെല്ലാമാകുന്നു ചെയ്തുകൊടുക്കേണ്ടതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്നെയല്ലാതെ ആരെ രാജാവു അത്ര അധികം ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കും എന്നു ഹാമാൻ ഉള്ളുകൊണ്ടു വിചാരിച്ചു.

And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delights to honour,ഹാമാൻ രാജാവിനോടു: രാജാവു ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷന്നു വേണ്ടി

Let the royal apparel be brought which the king uses to wear, and the horse that the king rides upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:രാജാവു ധരിച്ചുവരുന്ന രാജവസ്ത്രവും രാജാവു കയറുന്ന കുതിരയും അവന്റെ തലയിൽ വെക്കുന്ന രാജകിരീടവും കൊണ്ടുവരട്ടെ.

And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man likewise whom the king delights to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honour.വസ്ത്രവും കുതിരയും രാജാവിന്റെ അതിശ്രേഷ്ഠപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കേണം; രാജാവു ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു പുരുഷനെ ആ വസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിച്ചു കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറ്റി പട്ടണവീഥിയിൽ കൂടെ കൊണ്ടുനടന്നു: രാജാവു ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യും എന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വിളിച്ചുപറയേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as you have said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sits at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that you have spoken.രാജാവു ഹാമാനോടു: നീ വേഗം ചെന്നു വസ്ത്രവും കുതിരയും നീ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു രാജാവിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കൽ ഇരിക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദനായ മൊർദ്ദെഖായിക്കു അങ്ങനെയൊക്കെയും ചെയ്ക; നീ പറഞ്ഞതിൽ ഒന്നും കുറെച്ചുകളയരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delights to honour.അപ്പോൾ ഹാമാൻ വസ്ത്രവും കുതിരയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു മൊർദ്ദെഖായിയെ വസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിച്ചു കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറ്റി പട്ടണവീഥിയിൽകൂടെ കൊണ്ടുനടന്നു: രാജാവു ബഹുമാനിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യും എന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വിളിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു.

And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.മൊർദ്ദെഖായി രാജാവിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവന്നു. ഹാമാനോ ദുഃഖിതനായി തലമൂടിയുംകൊണ്ടു വേഗത്തിൽ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി.

And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom you have begun to fall, you shall not prevail against him, but shall surely fall before him.തനിക്കു സംഭവിച്ചതൊക്കെയും ഹാമാൻ ഭാര്യയായ സേരെശിനോടും തന്റെ സകല സ്നേഹിതന്മാരോടും വിവരിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞു. അവന്റെ വിദ്വാന്മാരും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യ സേരെശും അവനോടു: മൊർദ്ദെഖായിയുടെ മുമ്പിൽ നീ വീഴുവാൻ തുടങ്ങി; അവൻ യെഹൂദ്യവംശക്കാരനാകുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നീ അവനെ ജയിക്കയില്ല; അവനോടു തോറ്റുപോകെയുള്ള എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And while they were yet talking with him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.അവർ അവനോടു സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ രാജാവിന്റെ ഷണ്ഡന്മാർ വന്നു എസ്ഥേർ ഒരുക്കിയവിരുന്നിന്നു ഹാമാനെ വേഗത്തിൽ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

Esther 7

So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen.അങ്ങനെ രാജാവും ഹാമാനും എസ്ഥേർരാജ്ഞിയോടുകൂടെ വിരുന്നു കഴിവാൻ ചെന്നു.

And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is your petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted you: and what is your request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom.രണ്ടാം ദിവസവും വീഞ്ഞുവിരുന്നിന്റെ സമയത്തു രാജാവു എസ്ഥേരിനോടു: എസ്ഥേർ രാജ്ഞിയേ, നിന്റെ അപേക്ഷ എന്തു? അതു നിനക്കു ലഭിക്കും; നിന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം എന്തു? രാജ്യത്തിൽ പാതിയോളമായാലും അതു നിവർത്തിച്ചു തരാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in your sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:അതിന്നു എസ്ഥേർരാജ്ഞി: രാജാവേ, എന്നോടു കൃപയുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ രാജാവിന്നു തിരുവുള്ളമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ എന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടു എന്റെ ജീവനെയും എന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം ഓർത്തു എന്റെ ജനത്തെയും എനിക്കു നല്കേണമേ.

For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.ഞങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചു കൊന്നുമുടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നെയും എന്റെ ജനത്തെയും വിറ്റുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങളെ ദാസീദാസന്മാരായി വിറ്റിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ വൈരിക്കു രാജാവിന്റെ നഷ്ടത്തിന്നു തക്ക പ്രതിശാന്തി കൊടുപ്പാൻ കഴിവില്ലെന്നു വരികിലും ഞാൻ മിണ്ടാതെ ഇരിക്കുമായിരുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?അഹശ്വേരോശ്‌രാജാവു എസ്ഥേർരാജ്ഞിയോടു: അവൻ ആർ? ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്‍വാൻ തുനിഞ്ഞവൻ എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.അതിന്നു എസ്ഥേർ: വൈരിയും ശത്രുവും ഈ ദുഷ്ടനായ ഹാമാൻ തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ ഹാമാൻ രാജാവിന്റെയും രാജ്ഞിയുടെയും മുമ്പിൽ ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോയി.

And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king.രാജാവു ക്രോധത്തോടെ വീഞ്ഞുവിരുന്നു വിട്ടു എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഉദ്യാനത്തിലേക്കു പോയി; എന്നാൽ രാജാവു തനിക്കു അനർത്ഥം നിശ്ചയിച്ചു എന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടു ഹാമാൻ തന്റെ ജീവരക്ഷെക്കായി എസ്ഥേർരാജ്ഞിയോടു അപേക്ഷിപ്പാൻ നിന്നു.

Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of king's mouth, they covered Haman's face.രാജാവു ഉദ്യാനത്തിൽനിന്നു വീണ്ടും വീഞ്ഞുവിരുന്നുശാലയിലേക്കു വന്നപ്പോൾ എസ്ഥേർ ഇരിക്കുന്ന മെത്തമേൽ ഹാമാൻ വീണുകിടന്നിരുന്നു; അന്നേരം രാജാവു: ഇവൻ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അരമനയിൽവെച്ചു രാജ്ഞിയെ ബലാൽക്കാരം ചെയ്യുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഈ വാക്കു രാജാവിന്റെ വായിൽ നിന്നു വീണ ഉടനെ അവർ ഹാമാന്റെ മുഖം മൂടി.

And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who spoken good for the king, stands in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.അപ്പോൾ രാജാവിന്റെ ഷണ്ഡന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനായ ഹർബ്ബോനാ: ഇതാ, രാജാവിന്റെ നന്മെക്കായി സംസാരിച്ച മൊർദ്ദെഖായിക്കു ഹാമാൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതായി അമ്പതു മുഴം ഉയരമുള്ള കഴുമരം ഹാമാന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ നില്ക്കുന്നു എന്നു രാജസന്നിധിയിൽ ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു; അതിന്മേൽ തന്നേ അവനെ തൂക്കിക്കളവിൻ എന്നു രാജാവു കല്പിച്ചു.

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.അവർ ഹാമാനെ അവൻ മൊർദ്ദെഖായിക്കു വേണ്ടി നാട്ടിയിരുന്ന കഴുമരത്തിന്മേൽ തന്നേ തൂക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ രാജാവിന്റെ ക്രോധം ശമിച്ചു.
