1
Better is the poor that walks in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.വികടാധരം ഉള്ള മൂഢനെക്കാൾ പരമാർത്ഥതയിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ദരിദ്രൻ ഉത്തമൻ.

Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hastes with his feet sins.പരിജ്ഞാനമില്ലാത്ത മനസ്സു നന്നല്ല; തത്രപ്പെട്ടു കാൽ വെക്കുന്നവനോ പിഴെച്ചുപോകുന്നു.

The foolishness of man perverts his way: and his heart frets against the LORD.മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഭോഷത്വം അവന്റെ വഴിയെ മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; അവന്റെ ഹൃദയമോ യഹോവയോടു മുഷിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു.

Wealth makes many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.സമ്പത്തു സ്നേഹിതന്മാരെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; എളിയവനോ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaks lies shall not escape.കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷിക്കു ശിക്ഷ വരാതിരിക്കയില്ല; ഭോഷ്കു നിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകയുമില്ല.

Many will implore the favour of the prince: and every man is a friend to him that gives gifts.പ്രഭുവിന്റെ പ്രീതി സമ്പാദിപ്പാൻ പലരും നോക്കുന്നു; ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നവന്നു ഏവനും സ്നേഹിതൻ.

All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursues them with words, yet they are lacking to him.ദരിദ്രന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെല്ലാം അവനെ പകെക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാർ എത്ര അധികം അകന്നുനില്ക്കും? അവൻ വാക്കു തിരയുമ്പോഴേക്കു അവരെ കാണ്മാനില്ല.

He that gets wisdom loves his own soul: he that keeps understanding shall find good.ബുദ്ധി സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നവൻ തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; ബോധം കാത്തുകൊള്ളുന്നവൻ നന്മ പ്രാപിക്കും.

A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaks lies shall perish.കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷിക്കു ശിക്ഷ വരാതിരിക്കയില്ല; ഭോഷ്കു നിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവൻ നശിച്ചുപോകും.

Delight is not suitable for a fool; much less for a servant to have rule over princes.സുഖജീവനം ഭോഷന്നു യോഗ്യമല്ല; പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെമേൽ കർത്തൃത്വം നടത്തുന്നതോ ദാസന്നു എങ്ങനെ?

The discretion of a man defers his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.വിവേകബുദ്ധിയാൽ മനുഷ്യന്നു ദീർഘക്ഷമവരുന്നു; ലംഘനം ക്ഷമിക്കുന്നതു അവന്നു ഭൂഷണം.

The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass.രാജാവിന്റെ ക്രോധം സിംഹഗർജ്ജനത്തിന്നു തുല്യം; അവന്റെ പ്രസാദമോ പുല്ലിന്മേലുള്ള മഞ്ഞുപോലെ.

A foolish son is the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping.മൂഢനായ മകൻ അപ്പന്നു നിർഭാഗ്യം; ഭാര്യയുടെ കലമ്പൽ തീരാത്ത ചോർച്ചപോലെ.

House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.ഭവനവും സമ്പത്തും പിതാക്കന്മാർ വെച്ചേക്കുന്ന അവകാശം; ബുദ്ധിയുള്ള ഭാര്യയോ യഹോവയുടെ ദാനം.

Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.മടി ഗാഢനിദ്രയിൽ വീഴിക്കുന്നു; അലസചിത്തൻ പട്ടണികിടക്കും.

He that keeps the commandment keeps his own soul; but he that despises his ways shall die.കല്പന പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവൻ പ്രാണനെ കാക്കുന്നു; നടപ്പു സൂക്ഷിക്കാത്തവനോ മരണശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കും.

He that has pity upon the poor lends unto the LORD; and that which he has given will he pay him again.എളിയവനോടു കൃപ കാട്ടുന്നവൻ യഹോവെക്കു വായ്പ കൊടുക്കുന്നു; അവൻ ചെയ്ത നന്മെക്കു അവൻ പകരം കൊടുക്കും.

Chasten your son while there is hope, and let not your soul spare for his crying.പ്രത്യാശയുള്ളേടത്തോളം നിന്റെ മകനെ ശിക്ഷിക്ക; എങ്കിലും അവനെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഭാവിക്കരുതു.

A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if you deliver him, yet you must do it again.മുൻകോപി പിഴ കൊടുക്കേണ്ടിവരും; നീ അവനെ വിടുവിച്ചാൽ അതു പിന്നെയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടിവരും.

Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter end.പിന്നത്തേതിൽ നീ ജ്ഞാനിയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ആലോചന കേട്ടു പ്രബോധനം കൈക്കൊൾക.

There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ പല വിചാരങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടു; യഹോവയുടെ ആലോചനയോ നിവൃത്തിയാകും.

The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar.മനുഷ്യൻ തന്റെ മനസ്സുപോലെ ദയ കാണിക്കും; ഭോഷ്കു പറയുന്നവനെക്കാൾ ദരിദ്രൻ ഉത്തമൻ.

The fear of the LORD tends to life: and he that has it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.യഹോവാഭക്തി ജീവഹേതുകമാകുന്നു; അതുള്ളവൻ തൃപ്തനായി വസിക്കും; അനർത്ഥം അവന്നു നേരിടുകയില്ല.

A slothful man hides his hand in his bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.മടിയൻ തന്റെ കൈ തളികയിൽ പൂത്തുന്നു; വായിലേക്കു തിരികെ കൊണ്ടുവരികയില്ല.

Strike a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that has understanding, and he will understand knowledge.പരിഹാസിയെ അടിച്ചാൽ അല്പബുദ്ധി വിവേകം പഠിക്കും; ബുദ്ധിമാനെ ശാസിച്ചാൽ അവൻ പരിജ്ഞാനം പ്രാപിക്കും.

He that wastes his father, and chases away his mother, is a son that causes shame, and brings reproach.അപ്പനെ ഹേമിക്കയും അമ്മയെ ഓടിച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും വരുത്തുന്ന മകനാകുന്നു.

Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causes to go astray from the words of knowledge.മകനേ, പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുമാറേണ്ടതിന്നുള്ള ഉപദേശം കേൾക്കുന്നതു മതിയാക്കുക.

An ungodly witness scorns judgment: and the mouth of the wicked devours iniquity.നിസ്സാരസാക്ഷി ന്യായത്തെ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ വായ് അകൃത്യത്തെ വിഴുങ്ങുന്നു.

Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.പരിഹാസികൾക്കായി ശിക്ഷാവിധിയും മൂഢന്മാരുടെ മുതുകിന്നു തല്ലും ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Proverbs 20

1
Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.വീഞ്ഞു പരിഹാസിയും മദ്യം കലഹക്കാരനും ആകുന്നു; അതിനാൽ ചാഞ്ചാടി നടക്കുന്ന ആരും ജ്ഞാനിയാകയില്ല.

The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provokes him to anger sins against his own soul.രാജാവിന്റെ ഭീഷണം സിംഹഗർജ്ജനം പോലെ; അവനെ കോപിപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ തന്റെ പ്രാണനോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.വ്യവഹാരം ഒഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു പുരുഷന്നു മാനം; എന്നാൽ ഏതു ഭോഷനും ശണ്ഠകൂടും.

The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.മടിയൻ ശീതംനിമിത്തം ഉഴാതിരിക്കുന്നു; കൊയ്ത്തുകാലത്തു അവൻ ഇരക്കും; ഒന്നും കിട്ടുകയുമില്ല.

Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ആലോചന ആഴമുള്ള വെള്ളം; വിവേകമുള്ള പുരുഷനോ അതു കോരി എടുക്കും.

Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?മിക്ക മനുഷ്യരും തങ്ങളോടു ദയാലുവായ ഒരുത്തനെ കാണും; എന്നാൽ വിശ്വസ്തനായ ഒരുത്തനെ ആർ കണ്ടെത്തും?

The just man walks in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.പരമാർത്ഥതയിൽ നടക്കുന്നവൻ നീതിമാൻ; അവന്റെ ശേഷം അവന്റെ മക്കളും ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.

A king that sits in the throne of judgment scatters away all evil with his eyes.ന്യായാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്ന രാജാവു തന്റെ കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു സകലദോഷത്തെയും പേറ്റിക്കളയുന്നു.

Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു പാപം ഒഴിഞ്ഞു നിർമ്മലനായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ആർക്കു പറയാം?

Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD.രണ്ടുതരം തൂക്കവും രണ്ടുതരം അളവും രണ്ടും ഒരുപോലെ യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പു.

Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.ബാല്യത്തിലെ ക്രിയകളാൽ തന്നേ ഒരുത്തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി വെടിപ്പും നേരുമുള്ളതാകുമോ എന്നു അറിയാം.

The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD has made even both of them.കേൾക്കുന്ന ചെവി, കാണുന്ന കണ്ണു, ഇവ രണ്ടും യഹോവ ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

Love not sleep, lest you come to poverty; open yours eyes, and you shall be satisfied with bread.ദരിദ്രനാകാതെയിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിദ്രാപ്രിയനാകരുതു; നീ കണ്ണു തുറക്ക; നിനക്കു വേണ്ടുവോളം ആഹാരം ഉണ്ടാകും.

It is nil, it is nil, says the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasts.വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങുന്നവൻ ചീത്തചീത്ത എന്നു പറയുന്നു; വാങ്ങി തന്റെ വഴിക്കു പോകുമ്പോഴോ അവൻ പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നു.

There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.പൊന്നും അനവധി മുത്തുകളും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; പരിജ്ഞാനമുള്ള അധരങ്ങളോ വിലയേറിയ ആഭരണം.

Take his garment that is guarantor for a stranger: and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.അന്യന്നു വേണ്ടി ജാമ്യം നില്ക്കുന്നവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം എടുത്തുകൊൾക; അന്യജാതിക്കാരന്നു വേണ്ടി ഉത്തരവാദി ആകുന്നവനോടു പണയം വാങ്ങുക.

Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.വ്യാജത്താൽ നേടിയ ആഹാരം മനുഷ്യന്നു മധുരം; പിന്നത്തേതിലോ അവന്റെ വായിൽ ചരൽ നിറയും.

Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.ഉദ്ദേശങ്ങൾ ആലോചനകൊണ്ടു സാധിക്കുന്നു; ആകയാൽ ഭരണസാമർത്ഥ്യത്തോടെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്ക.

He that goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flatters with his lips.നുണയനായി നുടക്കുന്നവൻ രഹസ്യം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; ആകയാൽ വിടുവായനോടു ഇടപെടരുതു.
20
Whoso curses his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.ആരെങ്കിലും അപ്പനെയോ അമ്മയെയോ ദുഷിച്ചാൽ അവന്റെ വിളക്കു കൂരിരുട്ടിൽ കെട്ടുപോകും.
21
An inheritance may be got hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed.ഒരു അവകാശം ആദിയിൽ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു കൈവശമാക്കാം; അതിന്റെ അവസാനമോ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കയില്ല.

Say not you, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save you.ഞാൻ ദോഷത്തിന്നു പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യുമെന്നു നീ പറയരുതു; യഹോവയെ കാത്തിരിക്ക; അവൻ നിന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കും.

Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good.രണ്ടുതരം തൂക്കം യഹോവെക്കു വെറുപ്പു; കള്ളത്തുലാസും കൊള്ളരുതു.

Man's activities are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഗതികൾ യഹോവയാൽ നിയമിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; പിന്നെ മനുഷ്യന്നു തന്റെ വഴി എങ്ങനെ ഗ്രഹിക്കാം?

It is a snare to the man who devours that which is holy, and after vows to make enquiry.“ഇതു നിവേദിതം” എന്നു തത്രപ്പെട്ടു നേരുന്നതും നേർന്നശേഷം നിരൂപിക്കുന്നതും മനുഷ്യന്നു ഒരു കണി.

A wise king scatters the wicked, and brings the wheel over them.ജ്ഞാനമുള്ള രാജാവു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ പേറ്റിക്കളയുന്നു; അവരുടെ മേൽ അവൻ മെതിവണ്ടി ഉരുട്ടുന്നു.

The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.മനുഷ്യന്റെ ആത്മാവു യഹോവയുടെ ദീപം; അതു ഉദരത്തിന്റെ അറകളെ ഒക്കെയും ശോധനചെയ്യുന്നു.

Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne supported by mercy.ദയയും വിശ്വസ്തതയും രാജാവിനെ കാക്കുന്നു; ദയകൊണ്ടു അവൻ തന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തെ ഉറപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the grey head.യൌവനക്കാരുടെ ശക്തി അവരുടെ പ്രശംസ; വൃദ്ധന്മാരുടെ നര അവരുടെ ഭൂഷണം.

The blueness of a wound cleanses away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.ഉദരത്തിന്റെ അറകളിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുന്ന തല്ലും പൊട്ടിപ്പോകത്തക്ക അടിയും ദോഷത്തെ അടിച്ചുവാരിക്കളയുന്നു.

Proverbs 21

1
The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turns it anywhere he will.രാജാവിന്റെ ഹൃദയം യഹോവയുടെ കയ്യിൽ നീർത്തോടുകണക്കെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; തനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമുള്ളേടത്തേക്കൊക്കെയും അവൻ അതിനെ തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD ponders the hearts.മനുഷ്യന്റെ വഴി ഒക്കെയും അവന്നു ചൊവ്വായിത്തോന്നുന്നു; യഹോവയോ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ തൂക്കിനോക്കുന്നു.

To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.നീതിയും ന്യായവും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നതു യഹോവെക്കു ഹനനയാഗത്തെക്കാൾ ഇഷ്ടം.

An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.ഗർവ്വമുള്ള കണ്ണും അഹങ്കാരഹൃദയവും ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ദീപവും പാപം തന്നേ.

The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to lack.ഉത്സാഹിയുടെ വിചാരങ്ങൾ സമൃദ്ധിഹേതുകങ്ങൾ ആകുന്നു; ബദ്ധപ്പാടുകാരൊക്കെയും ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിലേക്കത്രേ ബദ്ധപ്പെടുന്നതു.

The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed back and forth of them that seek death.കള്ളനാവുകൊണ്ടു ധനം സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നതു പാറിപ്പോകുന്ന ആവിയാകുന്നു; അതിനെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവർ മരണത്തെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു.

The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them; because they refuse to do judgment.ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സാഹസം അവർക്കു നാശഹേതുവാകുന്നു; ന്യായം ചെയ്‍വാൻ അവർക്കു മനസ്സില്ലല്ലോ.

The way of man is perverse and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right.അകൃത്യഭാരം ചുമക്കുന്നവന്റെ വഴി വളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; നിർമ്മലന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയോ ചൊവ്വുള്ളതു തന്നേ.

It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.ശണ്ഠകൂടുന്ന സ്ത്രീയോടുകൂടെ പൊതുവീട്ടിൽ പാർക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ മേൽപുരയുടെ ഒരു കോണിൽ പാർക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു.

The soul of the wicked desires evil: his neighbour finds no favour in his eyes.ദുഷ്ടന്റെ മനസ്സു ദോഷത്തെ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; അവന്നു കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു ദയ തോന്നുന്നതുമില്ല.

When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise: and when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.പരിഹാസിയെ ശിക്ഷിച്ചാൽ അല്പബുദ്ധി ജ്ഞാനിയായ്തീരും; ജ്ഞാനിയെ ഉപദേശിച്ചാൽ അവൻ പരിജ്ഞാനം പ്രാപിക്കും.

The righteous man wisely considers the house of the wicked: but God overthrows the wicked for their wickedness.നീതിമാനായവൻ ദുഷ്ടന്റെ ഭവനത്തിന്മേൽ ദൃഷ്ടിവെക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ നാശത്തിലേക്കു മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.

Whoso stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.എളിയവന്റെ നിലവിളിക്കു ചെവി പൊത്തിക്കളയുന്നവൻ താനും വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും; ഉത്തരം ലഭിക്കയില്ല.

A gift in secret pacifies anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.രഹസ്യത്തിൽ ചെയ്യുന്ന ദാനം കോപത്തെയും മടിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവരുന്ന സമ്മാനം ഉഗ്രകോപത്തെയും ശമിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.ന്യായം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നതു നീതിമാന്നു സന്തോഷവും ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാർക്കു ഭയങ്കരവും ആകുന്നു.

The man that wanders out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.വിവേകമാർഗ്ഗം വിട്ടുനടക്കുന്നവൻ മൃതന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ വിശ്രമിക്കും.

He that loves pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loves wine and oil shall not be rich.ഉല്ലാസപ്രിയൻ ദരിദ്രനായ്തീരും; വീഞ്ഞും തൈലവും പ്രിയപ്പെടുന്നവൻ ധനവാനാകയില്ല.

The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the transgressor for the upright.ദുഷ്ടൻ നീതിമാന്നു മറുവിലയാകും; ദ്രോഹി നേരുള്ളവർക്കും പകരമായ്തീരും.

It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman.ശണ്ഠയും ദുശ്ശീലവുമുള്ള സ്ത്രീയോടുകൂടെ പാർക്കുന്നതിലും നിർജ്ജനപ്രദേശത്തു പോയി പാർക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു.

There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spends it up.ജ്ഞാനിയുടെ പാർപ്പിടത്തിൽ വിലയേറിയ നിക്ഷേപവും തൈലവും ഉണ്ടു; മൂഢനോ അവയെ ദുർവ്യയം ചെയ്തുകളയുന്നു.

He that follows after righteousness and mercy finds life, righteousness, and honour.നീതിയും ദയയും പിന്തുടരുന്നവൻ ജീവനും നീതിയും മാനവും കണ്ടെത്തും.

Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.വായും നാവും സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നവൻ തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ കഷ്ടങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who deals in proud wrath.നിഗളവും ഗർവ്വവും ഉള്ളവന്നു പരിഹാസി എന്നു പേർ; അവൻ ഗർവ്വത്തിന്റെ അഹങ്കാരത്തോടെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.

The desire of the slothful kills him; for his hands refuse to labour.മടിയന്റെ കൊതി അവന്നു മരണഹേതു; വേലചെയ്‍വാൻ അവന്റെ കൈകൾ മടിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

He covers greedily all the day long: but the righteous gives and spares not.ചിലർ നിത്യം അത്യാഗ്രഹത്തോടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നീതിമാനോ ലോഭിക്കാതെ കൊടുത്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he brings it with a wicked mind?ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ഹനനയാഗം വെറുപ്പാകുന്നു; അവൻ ദുരാന്തരത്തോടെ അതു അർപ്പിച്ചാൽ എത്ര അധികം!

A false witness shall perish: but the man that hears speaks constantly.കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷി നശിച്ചുപോകും; ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേൾക്കുന്നവന്നോ എപ്പോഴും സംസാരിക്കാം.

A wicked man hardens his face: but as for the upright, he directs his way.ദുഷ്ടൻ മുഖധാർഷ്ട്യം കാണിക്കുന്നു; നേരുള്ളവനോ തന്റെ വഴി നന്നാക്കുന്നു.

There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD.യഹോവെക്കെതിരെ ജ്ഞാനവുമില്ല, ബുദ്ധിയുമില്ല, ആലോചനയുമില്ല.

The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.കുതിരയെ യുദ്ധദിവസത്തേക്കു ചമയിക്കുന്നു; ജയമോ യഹോവയുടെ കൈവശത്തിലിരിക്കുന്നു.
