Exodus 7

And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made you a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: നോക്കു, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഫറവോന്നു ദൈവമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ സഹോദരൻ അഹരോൻ നിനക്കു പ്രവാചകനായിരിക്കും.

You shall speak all that I command you: and Aaron your brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും നീ പറയേണം; നിന്റെ സഹോദരനായ അഹരോൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെ തന്റെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ ഫറവോനോടു പറയേണം.

And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കും; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എന്റെ അടയാളങ്ങളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും പെരുക്കും.

But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.ഫറവോൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കയില്ല; ഞാൻ മിസ്രയീമിന്മേൽ എന്റെ കൈവെച്ചു വലിയ ശിക്ഷാവിധികളാൽ എന്റെ ഗണങ്ങളെ, എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളെ തന്നേ, മിസ്രയിംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കും.

And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ എന്റെ കൈ മിസ്രയീമിന്മേൽ നീട്ടി, യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളെ അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ യഹോവ എന്നു മിസ്രയീമ്യർ അറിയും.

And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded them, so did they.മോശെയും അഹരോനും യഹോവ തങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു. അവർ അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തു.

And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spoke unto Pharaoh.അവർ ഫറവോനോടു സംസാരിച്ച കാലത്തു മോശെക്കു എൺപതു വയസ്സും അഹരോന്നു എൺപത്തുമൂന്നു വയസ്സും ആയിരുന്നു.

And the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,യഹോവ മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടും:

When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Show a miracle for you: then you shall say unto Aaron, Take your rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.ഫറവോൻ നിങ്ങളോടു ഒരു അത്ഭുതം കാണിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ നീ അഹരോനോടു: നിന്റെ വടി എടുത്തു ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിലത്തിടുക എന്നു പറയേണം; അതു ഒരു സർപ്പമായ്തീരും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.അങ്ങനെ മോശെയും അഹരോനും ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു യഹോവ തങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു. അഹരോൻ തന്റെ വടി ഫറവോന്റെയും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ നിലത്തിട്ടു; അതു സർപ്പമായ്തീർന്നു.

Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോൻ വിദ്വാന്മാരെയും ക്ഷുദ്രക്കാരെയും വിളിപ്പിച്ചു; മിസ്രയീമ്യമന്ത്രവാദികളായ ഇവരും തങ്ങളുടെ മന്ത്രവാദത്താൽ അതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു.

For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.അവർ ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ വടി നിലത്തിട്ടു; അവയും സർപ്പങ്ങളായ്തീർന്നു; എന്നാൽ അഹരോന്റെ വടി അവരുടെ വടികളെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയമോ, യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ കഠിനപ്പെട്ടു; അവൻ അവരെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചതുമില്ല.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuses to let the people go.അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ അവന്നു മനസ്സില്ല.

Get you unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goes out unto the water; and you shall stand by the river's brink meeting him; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shall you take in yours hand.രാവിലെ നീ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുക; അവൻ വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഇറങ്ങിവരും; നീ അവനെ കാണ്മാൻ നദീതീരത്തു നിൽക്കേണം; സർപ്പമായ്തീർന്ന വടിയും കയ്യിൽ എടുത്തുകൊള്ളേണം.

And you shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews has sent me unto you, saying, Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness: and, behold, until now you would not hear.അവനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: മരുഭൂമിയിൽ എന്നെ ആരാധിപ്പാൻ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്ക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു എബ്രായരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു; നീയോ ഇതുവരെ കേട്ടില്ല.

Thus says the LORD, In this you shall know that I am the LORD: behold, I will strike with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.ഞാൻ യഹോവ എന്നു നീ ഇതിനാൽ അറിയും എന്നിങ്ങനെ യഹോവ കല്പിക്കുന്നു; ഇതാ, എന്റെ കയ്യിലുള്ള വടികൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നദിയിലെ വെള്ളത്തിൽ അടിക്കും; അതു രക്തമായ്തീരും;

And the fish that is in the river shall die, and the river shall stink; and the Egyptians shall loathe to drink of the water of the river.നദിയിലെ മത്സ്യം ചാകും. നദി നാറും; നദിയിലെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പൻ മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കു അറെപ്പു തോന്നും.

And the LORD spoke unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take your rod, and stretch out yours hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു: നീ അഹരോനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: നിന്റെ വടി എടുത്തിട്ടു മിസ്രയീമിലെ വെള്ളത്തിന്മേൽ, അവരുടെ നദി, പുഴ, കുളം എന്നിങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ സകലജലാശയങ്ങളുടെ മേലും കൈ നീട്ടുക; അവ രക്തമായ്തീരും; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും മരപ്പാത്രങ്ങളിലും കല്പാത്രങ്ങളിലും രക്തം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and stroke the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.മോശെയും അഹരോനും യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു. അവൻ ഫറവോന്റെയും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ വടി ഓങ്ങി നദിയിലുള്ള വെള്ളത്തിൽ അടിച്ചു; നദിയിലുള്ള വെള്ളം ഒക്കെയും രക്തമായ്തീർന്നു.

And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.നദിയിലെ മത്സ്യം ചാകയും നദി നാറുകയും ചെയ്തു. നദിയിലെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പാൻ മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും രക്തം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had said.മിസ്രയീമ്യമന്ത്രവാദികളും തങ്ങളുടെ മന്ത്രവാദത്താൽ അതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെ ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനപ്പെട്ടു; അവൻ അവരെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചതുമില്ല.

And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.ഫറവോൻ തിരിഞ്ഞു തന്റെ അരമനയിലേക്കു പോയി; ഇതും അവൻ ഗണ്യമാക്കിയില്ല.

And all the Egyptians dug round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.നദിയിലെ വെള്ളം കുടിപ്പാൻ കഴിവില്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു മിസ്രയീമ്യർ എല്ലാവരും കുടിപ്പാൻ വെള്ളത്തിന്നായി നദിയരികെ ഒക്കെയും ഓലി കുഴിച്ചു.

And seven days were fulfilled, after that the LORD had smitten the river.—

Exodus 8

And the LORD spoke unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus says the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.യഹോവ നദിയെ അടിച്ചിട്ടു ഏഴു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു: നീ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്നെ ആരാധിപ്പാൻ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്ക.

And if you refuse to let them go, behold, I will strike all your borders with frogs:നീ അവരെ വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ സമ്മതിക്കയില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തെ ഒക്കെയും തവളയെക്കൊണ്ടു ബാധിക്കും.

And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into yours house, and into your bedchamber, and upon your bed, and into the house of your servants, and upon your people, and into yours ovens, and into your kneading troughs:നദിയിൽ തവള അനവധിയായി ജനിക്കും; അതു കയറി നിന്റെ അരമനയിലും ശയനഗൃഹത്തിലും കട്ടിലിന്മേലും നിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെ വീടുകളിലും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്മേലും അപ്പം ചുടുന്ന അടുപ്പുകളിലും മാവു കുഴെക്കുന്ന തൊട്ടികളിലും വരും.

And the frogs shall come up both on you, and upon your people, and upon all your servants.തവള നിന്റെ മേലും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്മേലും നിന്റെ സകലഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെ മേലും കയറും.

And the LORD spoke unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth yours hand with your rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു: മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു തവള കയറുവാൻ നദികളിൻ മേലും പുഴകളിൻ മേലും കുളങ്ങളിൻ മേലും വടിയോടുകൂടെ കൈ നീട്ടുക എന്നു നീ അഹരോനോടു പറയേണം എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.അങ്ങനെ അഹരോൻ മിസ്രയീമിലെ വെള്ളങ്ങളിൻ മേൽ കൈ നീട്ടി, തവള കയറി മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെ മൂടി.

And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.മന്ത്രവാദികളും തങ്ങളുടെ മന്ത്രവാദത്താൽ അതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു, മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു തവള കയറുമാറാക്കി.

Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Implore the LORD, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the LORD.എന്നാറെ ഫറവോൻ മോശെയെയും അഹരോനെയും വിളിപ്പിച്ചു: തവള എന്നെയും എന്റെ ജനത്തെയും വിട്ടു നീങ്ങുമാറാകേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ. എന്നാൽ യഹോവെക്കു യാഗം കഴിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്കാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I implore for you, and for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and your houses, that they may remain in the river only?മോശെ ഫറവോനോടു: തവള നിന്നെയും നിന്റെ ഗൃഹങ്ങളെയും വിട്ടു നീങ്ങി നദിയിൽ മാത്രം ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ നിനക്കും നിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാർക്കും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിനും വേണ്ടി എപ്പോൾ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കേണം എന്നു എനിക്കു സമയം നിശ്ചയിച്ചാലും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And he said, Tomorrow. And he said, Be it according to your word: that you may know that there is none like unto the LORD our God.നാളെ എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു; ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെപ്പോലെ ആരുമില്ല എന്നു നീ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ വാക്കുപോലെ ആകട്ടെ;

And the frogs shall depart from you, and from your houses, and from your servants, and from your people; they shall remain in the river only.തവള നിന്നെയും നിന്റെ ഗൃഹങ്ങളെയും നിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരെയും ജനത്തെയും വിട്ടു മാറി നദിയിൽ മാത്രം ഇരിക്കും എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses cried unto the LORD because of the frogs which he had brought against Pharaoh.അങ്ങനെ മോശെയും അഹരോനും ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി ഫറവോന്റെ മേൽ വരുത്തിയ തവളനിമിത്തം മോശെ യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields.മോശെയുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനപ്രകാരം യഹോവ ചെയ്തു; ഗൃഹങ്ങളിലും മുറ്റങ്ങളിലും പറമ്പുകളിലും ഉള്ള തവള ചത്തുപോയി.

And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank.അവർ അതിനെ കൂമ്പാരംകൂമ്പാരമായി കൂട്ടി; ദേശം നാറുകയും ചെയ്തു.

But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.എന്നാൽ സ്വൈരം വന്നു എന്നു ഫറവോൻ കണ്ടാറെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെ അവൻ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ കഠിനമാക്കി അവരെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചതുമില്ല.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out your rod, and strike the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു: നിന്റെ വടി നീട്ടി നിലത്തിലെ പൊടിയെ അടിക്ക എന്നു അഹരോനോടു പറക. അതു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും പേൻ ആയ്തീരും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and stroke the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.അവർ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു; അഹരോൻ വടിയോടുകൂടെ കൈ നീട്ടി നിലത്തിലെ പൊടിയെ അടിച്ചു; അതു മനുഷ്യരുടെ മേലും മൃഗങ്ങളിൻ മേലും പേൻ ആയ്തീർന്നു; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെങ്ങും നിലത്തിലെ പൊടിയെല്ലാം പേൻ ആയ്തീർന്നു.

And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.മന്ത്രവാദികളും തങ്ങളുടെ മന്ത്രവാദത്താൽ പേൻ ഉളവാക്കുവാൻ അതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു; അവർക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല താനും. മനുഷ്യരുടെയും മൃഗങ്ങളുടെയും മേൽ പേൻ ഉളവായതുകൊണ്ടു മന്ത്രവാദികൾ ഫറവോനോടു:

Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.ഇതു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിരൽ ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെ ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനപ്പെട്ടു അവൻ അവരെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചതുമില്ല.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he comes forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus says the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.പിന്നെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു: നീ നാളെ നന്ന രാവിലെ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിൽക്ക; അവൻ വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരും. നീ അവനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്നെ ആരാധിപ്പാൻ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്ക.

Else, if you will not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon you, and upon your servants, and upon your people, and into your houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.നീ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്കയില്ല എങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ നിന്റെമേലും നിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെ മേലും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിൻ മേലും നിന്റെ ഗൃഹങ്ങളിലും നായീച്ചയെ അയക്കും. മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ വീടുകളും അവർ പാർക്കുന്ന ദേശവും നായീച്ചകൊണ്ടു നിറയും.

And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end you may know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.ഭൂമിയിൽ ഞാൻ തന്നേ യഹോവ എന്നു നീ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ ജനം പാർക്കുന്ന ഗോശെൻ ദേശത്തെ അന്നു ഞാൻ നായീച്ച വരാതെ വേർതിരിക്കും.

And I will put a division between my people and your people: tomorrow shall this sign be.എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നും മദ്ധ്യേ ഞാൻ ഒരു വ്യത്യാസം വെക്കും; നാളെ ഈ അടയാളം ഉണ്ടാകും.

And the LORD did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.യഹോവ അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തു: അനവധി നായീച്ച ഫറവോന്റെ അരമനയിലും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെ വീടുകളിലും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും വന്നു; നായീച്ചയാൽ ദേശം നശിച്ചു.

And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go all of you, sacrifice to your God in the land.അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോൻ മോശെയെയും അഹരോനെയും വിളിച്ചു: നിങ്ങൾ പോയി ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു തന്നേ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു യാഗം കഴിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?അതിന്നു മോശെ: അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തുകൂടാ; മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കു അറെപ്പായുള്ളതു ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു യാഗം കഴിക്കേണ്ടിവരുമല്ലോ; മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കു അറെപ്പായുള്ളതു അവർ കാൺകെ ഞങ്ങൾ യാഗം കഴിച്ചാൽ അവർ ഞങ്ങളെ കല്ലെറികയില്ലയോ?

We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the LORD our God, as he shall command us.ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഞങ്ങൾ മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തെ വഴി ദൂരം മരുഭൂമിയിൽ പോയി അവന്നു യാഗം കഴിക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that all of you may sacrifice to the LORD your God in the wilderness; only all of you shall not go very far away: implore for me.അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോൻ: നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു മരുഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ചു യാഗം കഴിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടയക്കാം; അതിദൂരത്തു മാത്രം പോകരുതു; എനിക്കു വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Moses said, Behold, I go out from you, and I will implore the LORD that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow: but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.അതിന്നു മോശെ: ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കും; നാളെ നായീച്ച ഫറവോനെയും ഭൃത്യന്മാരെയും ജനത്തെയും വിട്ടു നീങ്ങിപ്പോകും. എങ്കിലും യഹോവെക്കു യാഗം കഴിപ്പാൻ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്കാതിരിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ ഫറവോൻ ഇനി ചതിവു ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and implored the LORD.അങ്ങനെ മോശെ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.യഹോവ മോശെയുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനപ്രകാരം ചെയ്തു: നായീച്ച ഒന്നുപോലും ശേഷിക്കാതെ ഫറവോനെയും ഭൃത്യന്മാരെയും ജനത്തെയും വീട്ടു നീങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.എന്നാൽ ഫറവോൻ ഈ പ്രാവശ്യവും തന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കി; ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയച്ചതുമില്ല.

Exodus 9

Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു: നീ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: എബ്രായരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്നെ ആരാധിപ്പാൻ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്ക.

For if you refuse to let them go, and will hold them still,വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ സമ്മതിക്കാതെ ഇനിയും അവരെ തടഞ്ഞു നിർത്തിയാൽ,

Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon your cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.യഹോവയുടെ കൈ കുതിര, കഴുത, ഒട്ടകം, കന്നുകാലി, ആടു എന്നിങ്ങനെ വയലിൽ നിനക്കുള്ള മൃഗങ്ങളിന്മേൽ വരും; അതികഠിനമായ വ്യാധിയുണ്ടാകും.

And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.യഹോവ യിസ്രായേല്യരുടെ മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കും മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കും തമ്മിൽ വ്യത്യാസം വെക്കും; യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കുള്ള സകലത്തിലും ഒന്നും ചാകയില്ല.

And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, Tomorrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.നാളെ യഹോവ ഈ കാര്യം ദേശത്തു ചെയ്യുമെന്നു കല്പിച്ചു സമയം കുറിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

And the LORD did that thing on the next day, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.അങ്ങനെ പിറ്റേ ദിവസം യഹോവ ഈ കാര്യം ചെയ്തു: മിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെ മൃഗങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം ചത്തു; യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളുടെ മൃഗങ്ങളോ ഒന്നുപോലും ചത്തില്ല.

And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.ഫറവോൻ ആളയച്ചു; യിസ്രായേല്യരുടെ മൃഗങ്ങൾ ഒന്നുപോലും ചത്തില്ല എന്നു കണ്ടു എങ്കിലും ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനപ്പെട്ടു അവൻ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയച്ചതുമില്ല.

And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.പിന്നെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടും: അടുപ്പിലെ വെണ്ണീർ കൈനിറച്ചു വാരുവിൻ; മോശെ അതു ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ആകാശത്തേക്കു വിതറട്ടെ.

And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.അതു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും ധൂളിയായി പാറി മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തൊക്കെയും മനുഷ്യരുടെ മേലും മൃഗങ്ങളിൻ മേലും പുണ്ണായി പൊങ്ങുന്ന പരുവാകും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.അങ്ങനെ അവർ അടുപ്പിലെ വെണ്ണീർ വാരി ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നു. മോശെ അതു ആകാശത്തേക്കു വിതറിയപ്പോൾ അതു മനുഷ്യരുടെ മേലും മൃഗങ്ങളിൻ മേലും പുണ്ണായി പൊങ്ങുന്ന പരുവായ്തീർന്നു.

And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.പരുനിമിത്തം മന്ത്രവാദികൾക്കു മോശെയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്പാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; പരു മന്ത്രവാദികൾക്കും എല്ലാ മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.എന്നാൽ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതു പോലെ അവൻ ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ കഠിനമാക്കി; അവൻ അവരെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചതുമില്ല.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ചതു: നീ നന്ന രാവിലെ എഴുന്നേറ്റു, ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നു അവനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: എബ്രായരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്നെ ആരാധിപ്പാൻ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്ക.

For I will at this time send all my plagues upon yours heart, and upon your servants, and upon your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.സർവ്വഭൂമിയിലും എന്നെപ്പോലെ മറ്റൊരുത്തനുമില്ല എന്നു നീ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഈ പ്രാവശ്യം ഞാൻ എന്റെ ബാധകളൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ മേലും നിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെ മേലും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്മേലും അയക്കും.

For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may strike you and your people with pestilence; and you shall be cut off from the earth.ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നേ ഞാൻ എന്റെ കൈ നീട്ടി നിന്നെയും നിന്റെ ജനത്തെയും മഹാമാരിയാൽ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിച്ചു നിന്നെ ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയുമായിരുന്നു.

And in very deed for this cause have I raised you up, in order to show in you my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ശക്തി നിന്നെ കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും എന്റെ നാമം സർവ്വഭൂമിയിലും പ്രസ്താവിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നും ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നിർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

As yet exalt you yourself against my people, that you will not let them go?എന്റെ ജനത്തെ അയക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നീ ഇനിയും അവരെ തടഞ്ഞുനിർത്തുന്നു.

¹⁸

Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.മിസ്രയീം സ്ഥാപിതമായ നാൾമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെ അതിൽ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ലാത്ത അതികഠിനമായ കല്മഴ ഞാൻ നാളെ ഈ നേരത്തു പെയ്യിക്കും.

Send therefore now, and gather your cattle, and all that you have in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.അതുകൊണ്ടു ഇപ്പോൾ ആളയച്ചു നിന്റെ മൃഗങ്ങളെയും വയലിൽ നിനക്കുള്ള സകലത്തെയും അകത്തു വരുത്തിക്കൊൾക. വീട്ടിൽ വരുത്താതെ വയലിൽ കാണുന്ന സകലമനുഷ്യന്റെയും മൃഗത്തിന്റെയും മേൽ കല്മഴ പെയ്യുകയും എല്ലാം ചാകയും ചെയ്യും.

He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:ഫറവോന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരിൽ യഹോവയുടെ വചനത്തെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടവർ ദാസന്മാരെയും മൃഗങ്ങളെയും വീടുകളിൽ വരുത്തി രക്ഷിച്ചു.

And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ വചനത്തെ പ്രമാണിക്കാതിരുന്നവർ ദാസന്മാരെയും മൃഗങ്ങളെയും വയലിൽ തന്നേ വിട്ടേച്ചു.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth yours hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.പിന്നെ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു: മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും മനുഷ്യരുടെയും മൃഗങ്ങളുടെയും മേലും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുള്ള സകല സസ്യത്തിന്മേലും കല്മഴ വരുവാൻ നിന്റെ കൈ ആകാശത്തേക്കു നീട്ടുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.മോശെ തന്റെ വടി ആകാശത്തേക്കു നീട്ടി; അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ ഇടിയും കല്മഴയും അയച്ചു; തീ ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു പാഞ്ഞിറങ്ങി; യഹോവ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്മേൽ കല്മഴ പെയ്യിച്ചു.

So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.ഇങ്ങനെ കല്മഴയും കല്മഴയോടു കൂടെ വിടാതെ ഇറങ്ങുന്ന തീയും അതികഠിനമായിരുന്നു; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു ജനവാസം തുടങ്ങിയതുമുതൽ അതിലെങ്ങും ഇതുപോലെ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല.

And the hail stroke throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail stroke every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും മനുഷ്യരെയും മൃഗങ്ങളെയും വയലിൽ ഇരുന്ന സകലത്തെയും കല്മഴ സംഹരിച്ചു; കല്മഴ വയലിലുള്ള സകലസസ്യത്തെയും നശിപ്പിച്ചു; പറമ്പിലെ വൃക്ഷത്തെ ഒക്കെയും തകർത്തുകളഞ്ഞു.

Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ പാർത്ത ഗോശെൻ ദേശത്തു മാത്രം കല്മഴ ഉണ്ടായില്ല.

²⁷

And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോൻ ആളയച്ചു മോശെയെയും അഹരോനെയും വിളിപ്പിച്ചു അവരോടു: ഈ പ്രാവശ്യം ഞാൻ പാപംചെയ്തു; യഹോവ നീതിയുള്ളവൻ; ഞാനും എന്റെ ജനവും ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ.

²⁸

Implore the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and all of you shall stay no longer.യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ; ഈ ഭയങ്കരമായ ഇടിയും കല്മഴയും മതി. ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടയക്കാം; ഇനി താമസിപ്പിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that you may know how that the earth is the LORD's.മോശെ അവനോടു: ഞാൻ പട്ടണത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു കൈ മലർത്തും; ഭൂമി യഹോവെക്കുള്ളതു എന്നു നീ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇടിമുഴക്കം നിന്നുപോകും; കല്മഴയും പിന്നെ ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല.

³⁰

But as for you and your servants, I know that all of you will not yet fear the LORD God.എന്നാൽ നീയും നിന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരും യഹോവയായ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bud.അങ്ങനെ ചണവും യവവും നശിച്ചുപോയി; യവം കതിരായും ചണം പൂത്തും ഇരുന്നു.

But the wheat and the spelt were not smitten: for they were not grown up.എന്നാൽ കോതമ്പും ചോളവും വളർന്നിട്ടില്ലാഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു നശിച്ചില്ല.

And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.മോശെ ഫറവോനെ വിട്ടു പട്ടണത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു കൈ മലർത്തിയപ്പോൾ ഇടിമുഴക്കവും കല്മഴയും നിന്നു മഴ ഭൂമിയിൽ ചൊരിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.

And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.എന്നാൽ മഴയും കല്മഴയും ഇടിമുഴക്കവും നിന്നുപോയി എന്നു ഫറവോൻ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവൻ പിന്നെയും പാപം ചെയ്തു; അവനും ഭൃത്യന്മാരും ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കി.

And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.യഹോവ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെ ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനപ്പെട്ടു, അവൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെ വിട്ടയച്ചതുമില്ല.

Exodus 10

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might show these my signs before him:യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടു: നീ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുക. ഞാൻ അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ എന്റെ അടയാളങ്ങളെ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നും,

And that you may tell in the ears of your son, and of your son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that all of you may know how that I am the LORD.ഞാൻ മിസ്രയീമിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ച കാര്യങ്ങളും അവരുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ചെയ്ത അടയാളങ്ങളും നീ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോടും പൌത്രന്മാരോടും വിവരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നും ഞാൻ അവന്റെയും ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെയും ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.അങ്ങനെ മോശെയും അഹരോനും ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: എബ്രായരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ താഴ്ത്തുവാൻ എത്രത്തോളം നിനക്കു മനസ്സില്ലാതിരിക്കും? എന്നെ ആരാധിപ്പാൻ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്ക.

Else, if you refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow will I bring the locusts into your coast:എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ നിനക്കു മനസ്സില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ നാളെ നിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തു വെട്ടുക്കിളിയെ വരുത്തും.

And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remains unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field:നിലം കാണ്മാൻ വഹിയാതവണ്ണം അവ ഭൂതലത്തെ മൂടുകയും കല്മഴയിൽ നശിക്കാതെ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും പറമ്പിൽ തളിർത്തു വളരുന്ന സകലവൃക്ഷവും തിന്നുകളകയും ചെയ്യും.

And they shall fill your houses, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither your fathers, nor your fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.നിന്റെ ഗൃഹങ്ങളും നിന്റെ സകലഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെയും സകലമിസ്രയീമ്യരുടെയും വീടുകളും അതുകൊണ്ടു നിറയും; നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെങ്കിലും പിതൃപിതാക്കന്മാരെങ്കിലും ഭൂമിയിൽ ഇരുന്ന കാലം മുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെയും അങ്ങനെയുള്ളതു കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. പിന്നെ അവൻ തിരിഞ്ഞു ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു പോയി.

And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: know you not yet that Egypt is destroyed?അപ്പോൾ ഭൃത്യന്മാർ ഫറവോനോടു: എത്രത്തോളം ഇവൻ നമുക്കു കണിയായിരിക്കും? ആ മനുഷ്യരെ തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ആരാധിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു വിട്ടയക്കേണം; മിസ്രയീം നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു എന്നു ഇപ്പോഴും നീ അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go?അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോൻ മോശെയെയും അഹരോനെയും വീണ്ടും വരുത്തി അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ പോയി നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ആരാധിപ്പിൻ.

And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.എന്നാൽ പോകേണ്ടുന്നവർ ആരെല്ലാം? എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു മോശെ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു യഹോവയുടെ ഉത്സവമുണ്ടാകകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ബാലന്മാരും വൃദ്ധന്മാരും പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരുമായി പോകും; ഞങ്ങളുടെ ആടുകളെയും കന്നുകാലികളെയും കൂടെ കൊണ്ടുപോകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.അവൻ അവരോടു: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ കുഞ്ഞുകുട്ടികളെയും വിട്ടയച്ചാൽ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; നോക്കുവിൻ; ദോഷമാകുന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ആന്തരം.

Not so: go now all of you that are men, and serve the LORD; for that all of you did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.അങ്ങനെയല്ല, നിങ്ങൾ പുരുഷന്മാർ പോയി യഹോവയെ ആരാധിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ; ഇതല്ലോ നിങ്ങൾ അപേക്ഷിച്ചതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവരെ ഫറവോന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽനിന്നു ആട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out yours hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail has left.അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു: നിലത്തിലെ സകലസസ്യാദികളും കല്മഴയിൽ ശേഷിച്ചതു ഒക്കെയും തിന്നുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു വെട്ടുക്കിളി മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു വരുവാൻ നിന്റെ കൈ ദേശത്തിന്മേൽ നീട്ടുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.അങ്ങനെ മോശെ തന്റെ വടി മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്മേൽ നീട്ടി; യഹോവ അന്നു പകൽ മുഴുവനും രാത്രിമുഴുവനും ദേശത്തിന്മേൽ കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റു അടിപ്പിച്ചു; പ്രഭാതം ആയപ്പോൾ കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റു വെട്ടുക്കിളിയെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And the locust went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.വെട്ടുക്കിളി മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തൊക്കെയും വന്നു മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ അതിർക്കകത്തു ഒക്കെയും അനവധിയായി വീണു; അതുപോലെ വെട്ടുക്കിളി ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല, ഇനി അതുപോലെ ഉണ്ടാകയുമില്ല.

For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.അതു ഭൂതലത്തെ ഒക്കെയും മൂടി ദേശം അതിനാൽ ഇരുണ്ടുപോയി; കല്മഴയിൽ ശേഷിച്ചതായി നിലത്തിലെ സകലസസ്യവും വൃക്ഷങ്ങളുടെ സകലഫലവും അതു തിന്നുകളഞ്ഞു; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എങ്ങും വൃക്ഷങ്ങളിലാകട്ടെ നിലത്തിലെ സസ്യത്തിലാകട്ടെ പച്ചയായതൊന്നും ശേഷിച്ചില്ല.

Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you.ഫറവോൻ മോശെയെയും അഹരോനെയും വേഗത്തിൽ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു: നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടും നിങ്ങളോടും ഞാൻ പാപം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Now therefore forgive, I pray you, my sin only this once, and implore the LORD your God, that he may take away from me this death only.അതുകൊണ്ടു ഈ പ്രാവശ്യം മാത്രം നീ എന്റെ പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു ഈ ഒരു മരണം എന്നെ വിട്ടു നീങ്ങുവാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And he went out from Pharaoh, and implored the LORD.അവൻ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു പറപ്പെടു യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.യഹോവ മഹാശക്തിയുള്ളോരു പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ കാറ്റു അടിപ്പിച്ചു; അതു വെട്ടുക്കിളിയെ എടുത്തു ചെങ്കടലിൽ ഇട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു. മിസ്രയീംരാജ്യത്തെങ്ങും ഒരു വെട്ടുക്കിളിപോലും ശേഷിച്ചില്ല.

But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.എന്നാൽ യഹോവ ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ കഠിനമാക്കി; അവൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെ വിട്ടയച്ചതുമില്ല.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out yours hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ മോശെയോടു: മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു സ്പർശിക്കത്തക്ക ഇരുൾ ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ കൈ ആകാശത്തേക്കു നീട്ടുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:മോശെ തന്റെ കൈ ആകാശത്തേക്കു നീട്ടി, മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തൊക്കെയും മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തേക്കു കൂരിരുട്ടുണ്ടായി.

They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തേക്കു ഒരുത്തനെ ഒരുത്തൻ കണ്ടില്ല; ഒരുത്തനും തന്റെ സ്ഥലം വിട്ടു എഴുന്നേറ്റതുമില്ല. എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കു എല്ലാവർക്കും തങ്ങളുടെ വാസസ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ വെളിച്ചം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go all of you, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോൻ മോശെയെ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു. നിങ്ങൾ പോയി യഹോവയെ ആരാധിപ്പിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ആടുകളും കന്നുകാലികളും മാത്രം ഇങ്ങു നിൽക്കട്ടെ; നിങ്ങളുടെ കുഞ്ഞു കുട്ടികളും നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പോരട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Moses said, You must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.അതിന്നു മോശെ പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു അർപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യാഗങ്ങൾക്കും സർവ്വാംഗഹോമങ്ങൾക്കും വേണ്ടി മൃഗങ്ങളെയും നീ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തരേണം.

²⁶

Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.ഞങ്ങളുടെ മൃഗങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പോരേണം; ഒരു കുളമ്പുപോലും പിമ്പിൽ ശേഷിച്ചുകൂടാ; ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ആരാധിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അതിൽനിന്നല്ലോ ഞങ്ങൾ എടുക്കേണ്ടതു; ഏതിനെ അർപ്പിച്ചു യഹോവയെ ആരാധിക്കേണമെന്നു അവിടെ എത്തുവോളം ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ല.

But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.എന്നാൽ യഹോവ ഫറവോന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കി; അവരെ വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ അവന്നു മനസ്സായില്ല.

²⁸

And Pharaoh said unto him, Get you from me, take heed to yourself, see my face no more; for in that day you see my face you shall die.ഫറവോൻ അവനോടു: എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു പോക. ഇനി എന്റെ മുഖം കാണാതിരിപ്പാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾക. എന്റെ മുഖം കാണുന്ന നാളിൽ നീ മരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു മോശെ:

And Moses said, You have spoken well, I will see your face again no more.നീ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ആകട്ടെ; ഞാൻ ഇനി നിന്റെ മുഖം കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
