Nehemiah 6

Now it came to pass when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and Geshem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, heard that I had built the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though at that time I had not set up the doors upon the gates;)എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ മതിൽ പണിതു; ആ കാലത്തു പടിവാതിലുകൾക്കു കതകുകൾ വെച്ചിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കിലും അറ്റകുറ്റം ഒന്നും ശേഷിപ്പില്ലെന്നു സൻ ബല്ലത്തും തോബീയാവും അരാബ്യനായ ഗേശെമും ഞങ്ങളുടെ മറ്റു ശത്രുക്കളും കേട്ടപ്പോൾ

That Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying, Come, let us meet together in some one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief.സൻ ബല്ലത്തും ഗേശെമും എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ആളയച്ചു: വരിക; നാം ഓനോസമഭൂമിയിലെ ഒരു ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ യോഗംകൂടുക എന്നു പറയിച്ചു. എന്നോടു ദോഷം ചെയ്‍വാനായിരുന്നു അവർ നിരൂപിച്ചതു.

And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?ഞാൻ അവരുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു ദൂതന്മാരെ അയച്ചു: ഞാൻ ഒരു വലിയ വേല ചെയ്തുവരുന്നു; എനിക്കു അങ്ങോട്ടു വരുവാൻ കഴിവില്ല; ഞാൻ വേല വിട്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നതിനാൽ അതിന്നു മിനക്കേടു വരുത്തുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

Yet they sent unto me four times after this sort; and I answered them after the same manner.അവർ നാലു പ്രാവശ്യം ഇങ്ങനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ആളയച്ചു; ഞാനും ഈ വിധം തന്നേ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

Then sent Sanballat his servant unto me in like manner the fifth time with an open letter in his hand;സൻ ബല്ലത്ത് അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ അഞ്ചാം പ്രാവശ്യം തന്റെ ഭൃത്യനെ, തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു എഴുത്തുമായി എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു.

Wherein was written, It is reported among the heathen, and Gashmu says it, that you and the Jews think to rebel: for which cause you build the wall, that you may be their king, according to these words.അതിൽ എഴുതിയിരുന്നതു: നീയും യെഹൂദന്മാരും മത്സരിപ്പാൻ ഭാവിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടാകുന്നു നീ മതിൽ പണിയുന്നതു; നീ അവർക്കു രാജാവാകുവാൻ വിചാരിക്കുന്നു എന്നത്രേ വർത്തമാനം.

And you have also appointed prophets to preach of you at Jerusalem, saying, There is a king in Judah: and now shall it be reported to the king according to these words. Come now therefore, and let us take counsel together.യെഹൂദയിൽ ഒരു രാജാവു ഉണ്ടെന്നു നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു യെരൂശലേമിൽ പ്രസംഗിപ്പാൻ നീ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു കേൾവി ഉണ്ടു; ഗശ്മൂവും അങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നു. രാജാവും ഇപ്പോൾ ഈ കേൾവി കേൾക്കും; ആകയാൽ വരിക നാം തമ്മിൽ ആലോചന ചെയ്ക.

Then I sent unto him, saying, There are no such things done as you says, but you feign them out of yours own heart.അതിന്നു ഞാൻ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ആളയച്ചു: നീ പറയുന്നതുപോലെയുള്ള കാര്യം ഒന്നും നടക്കുന്നില്ല; അതു നീ സ്വമേധയാ സങ്കല്പിച്ചതാകുന്നു എന്നു പറയിച്ചു.

For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.വേല നടക്കാതവണ്ണം അവരുടെ ധൈര്യം ക്ഷയിച്ചു പോകേണമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവർ ഒക്കെയും ഞങ്ങളെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കി. ആകയാൽ ദൈവമേ, എന്നെ ധൈര്യപ്പെടുത്തേണമേ.

Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay you; yea, in the night will they come to slay you.പിന്നെ ഞാൻ മെഹേതബേലിന്റെ മകനായ ദെലായാവിന്റെ മകൻ ശെമയ്യാവിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നു; അവൻ കതകടെച്ചു അകത്തിരിക്കയായിരുന്നു; നാം ഒരുമിച്ചു ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ മന്ദിരത്തിന്നകത്തു കടന്നു വാതിൽ അടെക്കുക; നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ വരുന്നുണ്ടു; നിന്നെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ അവർ രാത്രിയിൽ വരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being as I am, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.അതിന്നു ഞാൻ: എന്നെപ്പോലെയുള്ള ഒരാൾ ഓടിപ്പോകുമോ? എന്നെപ്പോലെയുള്ള ഒരുത്തൻ ജീവരക്ഷെക്കായി മന്ദിരത്തിലേക്കു പോകുമോ? ഞാൻ പോകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And, lo, I perceived that God had not sent him; but that he pronounced this prophecy against me: for Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.ദൈവം അവനെ അയച്ചിട്ടില്ല; തോബീയാവും സൻ ബല്ലത്തും അവന്നു കൂലി കൊടുത്തിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി ആ പ്രവചനം പറഞ്ഞതേയുള്ളു എന്നു എനിക്കു മനസ്സിലായി.

Therefore was he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me.ഞാൻ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു അങ്ങനെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു പാപം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നും എന്നെ ദുഷിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം അപവാദത്തിന്നു കാരണം കിട്ടേണ്ടതിന്നും അവർ അവന്നു കൂലികൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.

My God, think you upon Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and on the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear.എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, തോബീയാവും സൻ ബല്ലത്തും ചെയ്ത ഈ പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അവരേയും നോവദ്യാ എന്ന പ്രവാചകിയെയും എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കിയ മറ്റു പ്രവാചകന്മാരെയും ഓർക്കേണമേ.

So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.ഇങ്ങനെ മതിൽ അമ്പത്തിരണ്ടു ദിവസം പണിതു എലൂൽമാസം ഇരുപത്തഞ്ചാം തിയ്യതി തീർത്തു.

And it came to pass, that when all our enemies heard thereof, and all the heathen that were about us saw these things, they were much cast down in their own eyes: for they perceived that this work was wrought of our God.ഞങ്ങളുടെ സകലശത്രുക്കളും അതു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള ജാതികൾ ആകെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു; അവർ തങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നേ അല്പന്മാരായി തോന്നി; ഈ പ്രവൃത്തി ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സഹായത്താൽ സാദ്ധ്യമായി എന്നു അവർ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

Moreover in those days the nobles of Judah sent many letters unto Tobiah, and the letters of Tobiah came unto them.ആ കാലത്തു യെഹൂദാപ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ തോബീയാവിന്നു അനേകം എഴുത്തു അയക്കുകയും തോബീയാവിന്റെ എഴുത്തു അവർക്കു വരികയും ചെയ്തു.

For there were many in Judah sworn unto him, because he was the son in law of Shechaniah the son of Arah; and his son Johanan had taken the daughter of Meshullam the son of Berechiah.അവൻ ആരഹിന്റെ മകനായ ശെഖന്യാവിന്റെ മരുമകൻ ആയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും അവന്റെ മകൻ യോഹാനാൻ ബേരെഖ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ മെശുല്ലാമിന്റെ മകളെ വിവാഹം ചെയ്തിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും യെഹൂദയിൽ അനേകർ അവനുമായി സത്യബന്ധം ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.

Also they reported his good deeds before me, and uttered my words to him. And Tobiah sent letters to put me in fear.അത്രയുമല്ല, അവർ അവന്റെ ഗുണങ്ങളെ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ പ്രസ്താവിക്കയും എന്റെ വാക്കുകളെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നറിയിക്കയും ചെയ്തു. അതുകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുവാൻ തോബീയാവു എഴുത്തു അയച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

Nehemiah 7

Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,എന്നാൽ മതിൽ പണിതു തീർത്തു കതകുകൾ വെക്കുകയും വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാരെയും സംഗീതക്കാരെയും ലേവ്യരെയും നിയമിക്കയും ചെയ്തശേഷം

That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.ഞാൻ എന്റെ സഹോദരനായ ഹനാനിയെയും കോട്ടയുടെ അധിപനായ ഹനന്യാവെയും യെരൂശലേമിന്നു അധിപതികളായി നിയമിച്ചു; ഇവൻ പലരെക്കാളും വിശ്വസ്തനും ദൈവഭക്തനും ആയിരുന്നു.

And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be opposite to his house.ഞാൻ അവരോടു: വെയിൽ ഉറെക്കുന്നതുവരെ യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ വാതിൽ തുറക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങൾ അരികെ നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ കതകു അടെച്ചു അന്താഴം ഇടുവിക്കേണം; യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളിൽനിന്നു കാവൽക്കാരെ നിയമിച്ചു ഓരോരുത്തനെ താന്താന്റെ കാവൽസ്ഥലത്തും താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടിന്നു നേരെയുമായി നിർത്തിക്കൊള്ളേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein, and the houses were not built.എന്നാൽ പട്ടണം വിശാലമായതും വലിയതും അകത്തു ജനം കുറവും ആയിരുന്നു; വീടുകൾ പണിതിരുന്നതുമില്ല.

And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,വംശാവലിപ്രകാരം എണ്ണം നോക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും പ്രമാണികളെയും ജനത്തെയും കൂട്ടിവരുത്തുവാൻ എന്റെ ദൈവം എന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ തോന്നിച്ചു. എന്നാറെ ആദ്യം മടങ്ങിവന്നവരുടെ ഒരു വംശാവലിരേഖ എനിക്കു കണ്ടു കിട്ടി; അതിൽ എഴുതിക്കണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity, of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his city;ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ് നേസർ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോയ ബദ്ധന്മാരുടെ പ്രവാസത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കും യെഹൂദയിലേക്കും താന്താന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നവരായ ദേശനിവാസികൾ:

Who came with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. The number, I say, of the men of the people of Israel was this;ഇവർ സെരുബ്ബാബേൽ, യേശുവ, നെഹെമ്യാവു; അസർയ്യാവു, രയമ്യാവു, നഹമാനി, മൊർദ്ദെഖായി, ബിൽശാൻ, മിസ്പേരെത്ത്, ബിഗ്വായി, നെഹൂം, ബയനാ എന്നിവരോടുകൂടെ മടങ്ങിവന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽജനത്തിലെ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ സംഖ്യയാവിതു:

And some of the chief of the fathers gave unto the work. And that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand drams of gold, and two thousand pound of silver, and threescore and seven priests' garments.ശേഷമുള്ള ജനം ഇരുപതിനായിരം തങ്കക്കാശും രണ്ടായിരം മാനേ വെള്ളിയും അറുപത്തേഴു പുരോഹിതവസ്ത്രവും കൊടുത്തു.

Nehemiah 8

And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day of the seventh month.ഏഴാം മാസം ഒന്നാം തിയ്യതി എസ്രാ പുരോഹിതൻ പുരുഷന്മാരും സ്ത്രീകളും കേട്ടു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള എല്ലാവരുമായ സഭയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു,

And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.നീർവ്വാതിലിന്നെതിരെയുള്ള വിശാലസ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു രാവിലെതുടങ്ങി ഉച്ചവരെ പുരുഷന്മാരും സ്ത്രീകളും ഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ പ്രാപ്തിയുള്ള എല്ലാവരും കേൾക്കെ ന്യായപ്രമാണ പുസ്തകം വായിച്ചു; സർവ്വജനവും ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു കേട്ടു.

And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.ഈ ആവശ്യത്തിന്നു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരുന്ന ഒരു പ്രസംഗപീഠത്തിൽ എസ്രാശാസ്ത്രി കയറിനിന്നു; അവന്റെ അരികെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു മത്ഥിത്ഥ്യാവു, ശേമാ, അനായാവു, ഊരീയാവു, ഹിൽക്കീയാവു, മയസേയാവു എന്നിവരും ഇടത്തു ഭാഗത്തു പെദായാവു, മീശായേൽ, മൽക്കീയാവു, ഹാശൂം, ഹശ്ബദ്ദാനാ, സെഖർയ്യാവു, മെശുല്ലാം എന്നിവരും നിന്നു.

And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up:എസ്രാ സകലജനവും കാൺകെ പുസ്തകം വിടർത്തു; അവൻ സകലജനത്തിന്നും മീതെ ആയിരുന്നു; അതു വിടർത്തപ്പോൾ ജനമെല്ലാം എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിന്നു.

And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground.എസ്രാ മഹാദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചു; ജനമൊക്കെയും കൈ ഉയർത്തി; ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ എന്നു പ്രതിവചനം പറഞ്ഞു വണങ്ങി സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place.ജനം താന്താന്റെ നിലയിൽ തന്നേ നിന്നിരിക്കെ യേശുവ, ബാനി, ശേരെബ്യാവു, യാമീൻ, അക്കൂബ്, ശബ്ബെത്തായി, ഹോദീയാവു, മയസേയാവു, കെലീതാ, അസർയ്യാവു, യോസാബാദ്, ഹാനാൻ, പെലായാവു, എന്നിവരും ലേവ്യരും ജനത്തിന്നു ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ പൊരുൾ തിരിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണപുസ്തകം തെളിവായി വായിച്ചുകേൾപ്പിക്കയും വായിച്ചതു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അർത്ഥം പറഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.ദേശാധിപതിയായ നെഹെമ്യാവും ശാസ്ത്രിയായ എസ്രാപുരോഹിതനും ജനത്തെ ഉപദേശിച്ചു പോന്ന ലേവ്യരും സകലജനത്തോടും: ഈ ദിവസം നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു വിശുദ്ധമാകുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ ദുഃഖിക്കരുതു കരകയും അരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ജനമെല്ലാം ന്യായപ്രമാണവാക്യങ്ങളെ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ കരഞ്ഞുപോയിരുന്നു.

Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be all of you sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.അനന്തരം അവർ അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ചെന്നു മൃഷ്ടാന്നഭോജനവും മധുരപാനീയവും കഴിച്ചു തങ്ങൾക്കായി വട്ടംകൂട്ടീട്ടില്ലാത്തവർക്കു പകർച്ച കൊടുത്തയപ്പിൻ; ഈ ദിവസം നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവിന്നു വിശുദ്ധമാകുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ ദുഃഖിക്കരുതു; യഹോവയിങ്കലെ സന്തോഷം നിങ്ങളുടെ ബലം ആകുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be all of you grieved.അവ്വണ്ണം ലേവ്യരും നിങ്ങൾ മിണ്ടാതിരിപ്പിൻ; ഈ ദിവസം വിശുദ്ധമല്ലോ; നിങ്ങൾ ദുഃഖിക്കരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു സർവ്വജനത്തെയും സാവധാനപ്പെടുത്തി.

And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great delight, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞ വചനം ബോദ്ധ്യമായതുകൊണ്ടു ജനമെല്ലാം പോയി തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കയും പകർച്ച കൊടുത്തയക്കയും അത്യന്തം സന്തോഷിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.പിറ്റെന്നാൾ സകലജനത്തിന്റെയും പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരും ന്യായപ്രമാണവാക്യങ്ങളെ കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എസ്രാശാസ്ത്രിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി.

And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:യഹോവ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം കല്പിച്ച ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ: യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ഏഴാം മാസത്തിലെ ഉത്സവത്തിൽ കൂടാരങ്ങളിൽ പാർക്കേണം എന്നും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ

And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.കൂടാരങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ മലയിൽ ചെന്നു ഒലിവുകൊമ്പു, കാട്ടൊലിവുകൊമ്പു, കൊഴുന്തുകൊമ്പു, ഈന്തമടൽ, തഴെച്ച വൃക്ഷങ്ങളുടെ കൊമ്പു എന്നിവ കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ എന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും യെരൂശലേമിലും അറിയിച്ചു പ്രസിദ്ധപ്പെടുത്തേണമെന്നും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതായി അവർ കണ്ടു.

So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.അങ്ങനെ ജനം ചെന്നു ഒരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടിന്റെ മുകളിലും മുറ്റത്തും ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ പ്രാകാരങ്ങളിലും നീർവ്വാതിൽക്കലെ വിശാലസ്ഥലത്തും എഫ്രയീംവാതിൽക്കലെ വിശാലസ്ഥലത്തും കൂടാരങ്ങളുണ്ടാക്കി.

And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.ആദ്യദിവസം മുതൽ അവസാനദിവസംവരെ അവൻ ദിവസേന ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണപുസ്തകം വായിച്ചു കേൾപ്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ അവർ ഏഴു ദിവസം ഉത്സവം ആചരിച്ചു; എട്ടാം ദിവസം നിയമപ്രകാരം വിശുദ്ധസഭായോഗം കൂടുകയും ചെയ്തു.
