Matthew 24

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him in order to show him the buildings of the temple.യേശു ദൈവാലയം വിട്ടു പോകുമ്പോൾ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അവന്നു ദൈവാലയത്തിന്റെ പണി കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു.

And Jesus said unto them, See all of you not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.അവൻ അവരോടു: “ഇതെല്ലാം കാണുന്നില്ലയോ? ഇടിഞ്ഞുപോകാതെ കല്ലിന്മേൽ കല്ലു ഇവിടെ ശേഷിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?അവൻ ഒലിവുമലയിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ തനിച്ചു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: അതു എപ്പോൾ സംഭവിക്കും എന്നു നിന്റെ വരവിന്നും ലോകാവസാനത്തിന്നു അടയാളം എന്തു എന്നും പറഞ്ഞുതരേണം എന്നു അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.അതിന്നു യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: “ആരും നിങ്ങളെ തെറ്റിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.ഞാൻ ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അനേകർ എന്റെ പേർ എടുത്തു വന്നു പലരെയും തെറ്റിക്കും.

And all of you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that all of you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.നിങ്ങൾ യുദ്ധങ്ങളെയും യുദ്ധശ്രുതികളെയും കുറിച്ചുകേൾക്കും; ചഞ്ചലപ്പെടാതിരിപ്പാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ; അതു സംഭവിക്കേണ്ടതു തന്നേ;

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.എന്നാൽ അതു അവസാനമല്ല; ജാതി ജാതിയോടും രാജ്യം രാജ്യത്തോടും എതിർക്കും; ക്ഷാമവും ഭൂകമ്പവും അവിടവിടെ ഉണ്ടാകും.

All these are the beginning of sorrows.എങ്കിലും ഇതു ഒക്കെയും ഈറ്റുനോവിന്റെ ആരംഭമത്രേ.

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and all of you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.അന്നു അവർ നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദ്രവത്തിന്നു ഏല്പിക്കയും കൊല്ലുകയും ചെയ്യും; എന്റെ നാമം നിമിത്തം സകലജാതികളും നിങ്ങളെ പകെക്കും.

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.പലരും ഇടറി അന്യോന്യം ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അന്യോന്യം പകെക്കയും ചെയ്യും

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.കള്ളപ്രവാചകന്മാർ പലരും വന്നു അനേകരെ തെറ്റിക്കും.

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.അധർമ്മം പെരുകുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അനേകരുടെ സ്നേഹം തണുത്തുപോകും.

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.എന്നാൽ അവസാനത്തോളം സഹിച്ചു നില്ക്കുന്നവൻ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ഈ സുവിശേഷം സകലജാതികൾക്കും സാക്ഷ്യമായി ഭൂലോകത്തിൽ ഒക്കെയും പ്രസംഗിക്കപ്പെടും; അപ്പോൾ അവസാനം വരും.

When all of you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso reads, let him understand:)എന്നാൽ ദാനീയേൽപ്രവാചകൻ മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ശൂന്യമാക്കുന്ന മ്ളേച്ഛത വിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തിൽ നില്ക്കുന്നതു നിങ്ങൾ കാണുമ്പോൾ” - വായിക്കുന്നവൻ ചിന്തിച്ചു കൊള്ളട്ടെ -

Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:“അന്നു യെഹൂദ്യയിലുള്ളവർ മലകളിലേക്കു ഓടിപ്പോകട്ടെ.

Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:വീട്ടിന്മേൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവൻ വീട്ടിലുള്ളതു എടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇറങ്ങരുതു;

Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.വയലിലുള്ളവൻ വസ്ത്രം എടുപ്പാൻ മടങ്ങിപ്പോകരുതു.

And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!ആ കാലത്തു ഗർഭിണികൾക്കും മുലകുടിപ്പിക്കുന്നവർക്കും അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!

²⁰

But pray all of you that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഓടിപ്പോകൂ ശീതകാലത്തോ ശബ്ബത്തിലോ സംഭവിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ.

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.ലോകാരംഭംമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെയും സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്തതും ഇനി മേൽ സംഭവിക്കാത്തതും ആയ വലിയ കഷ്ടം അന്നു ഉണ്ടാകും.

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.ആ നാളുകൾ ചുരുങ്ങാതിരുന്നാൽ ഒരു ജഡവും രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല; വൃതന്മാർ നിമിത്തമോ ആ നാളുകൾ ചുരുങ്ങും.

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.അന്നു ആരാനും നിങ്ങളോടു: ഇതാ, ക്രിസ്തു ഇവിടെ, അല്ല അവിടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ വിശ്വസിക്കരുതു.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.കള്ളക്രിസ്തുക്കളും കള്ള പ്രവാചകന്മാരും എഴുന്നേറ്റു കഴിയുമെങ്കിൽ വൃതന്മാരെയും തെറ്റിപ്പാനായി വലിയ അടയാളങ്ങളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും കാണിക്കും.

Behold, I have told you before.ഓർത്തുകൊൾവിൻ; ഞാൻ മുമ്പുകൂട്ടി നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

²⁶

Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങളോടു: അതാ, അവൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ പുറപ്പെടരുതു; ഇതാ, അറകളിൽ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ വിശ്വസിക്കരുതു.

²⁷

For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.മിന്നൽ കിഴക്കു നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു പടിഞ്ഞാറോളം വിളങ്ങും പോലെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്റെ വരുവു ആകും.

For where ever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together.ശവം ഉള്ളേടത്തു കഴുക്കൾ കൂടും.

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:ആ കാലത്തിലെ കഷ്ടം കഴിഞ്ഞ ഉടനെ സൂര്യൻ ഇരുണ്ടുപോകും; ചന്ദ്രൻ പ്രകാശം കൊടുക്കാതിരിക്കും; നക്ഷത്രങ്ങൾ ആകാശത്തു നിന്നു വീഴും; ആകാശത്തിലെ ശക്തികൾ ഇളകിപ്പോകും.

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.അപ്പോൾ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്റെ അടയാളം ആകാശത്തു വിളങ്ങും; അന്നു ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലഗോത്രങ്ങളും പ്രലാപിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു, മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ ആകാശത്തിലെ മേഘങ്ങളിന്മേൽ മഹാശക്തിയോടും തേജസ്സോടും കൂടെ വരുന്നതു കാണും.

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.അവൻ തന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരെ മഹാ കാഹളധ്വനിയോടുംകൂടെ അയക്കും; അവർ അവന്റെ വൃതന്മാരെ ആകാശത്തിന്റെ അറുതിമുതൽ അറുതിവരെയും നാലു ദിക്കിൽനിന്നും കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കും.

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, all of you know that summer is nigh:അത്തിയെ നോക്കി ഒരു ഉപമ പഠിപ്പിൻ; അതിന്റെ കൊമ്പു ഇളതായി ഇല തളിർക്കുമ്പോൾ വേനൽ അടുത്തു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

So likewise all of you, when all of you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ ഇതു ഒക്കെയും കാണുമ്പോൾ അവൻ അടുക്കെ വാതിൽക്കൽ തന്നേ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞുകൊൾവിൻ.

³⁴

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.ഇതൊക്കെയും സംഭവിക്കുവോളം ഈ തലമുറ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

³⁵

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും; എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളോ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകയില്ല.

³⁶

But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.ആ നാളും നാഴികയും സംബന്ധിച്ചോ എന്റെ പിതാവു മാത്രമല്ലാതെ ആരും സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ദൂതന്മാരും പുത്രനും കൂടെ അറിയുന്നില്ല.

³⁷

But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.നോഹയുടെ കാലംപോലെ തന്നേ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്റെ വരവും ആകും

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,ജലപ്രളയത്തിന്നു മുമ്പുള്ള കാലത്തു നോഹ പെട്ടകത്തിൽ കയറിയനാൾവരെ അവർ തിന്നും കുടിച്ചും വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചും വിവാഹത്തിന്നു കൊടുത്തും പോന്നു;

³⁹

And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.ജലപ്രളയം വന്നു എല്ലാവരെയും നീക്കിക്കളയുവോളം അവർ അറിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല; മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്റെ വരവും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ആകും.

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.അന്നു രണ്ടുപേർ വയലിൽ ഇരിക്കും; ഒരുത്തനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളും, മറ്റവനെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കും.

⁴¹

Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.രണ്ടുപേർ ഒരു തിരിക്കല്ലിൽ പൊടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും; ഒരുത്തിയെ കൈക്കൊള്ളും, മറ്റവളെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കും.

Watch therefore: for all of you know not what hour your Lord does come.നിങ്ങളുടെ കർത്താവു ഏതു ദിവസത്തിൽ വരുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയായ്ക കൊണ്ടു ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പിൻ.

But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.കള്ളൻ വരുന്നയാമം ഇന്നതെന്നു വീട്ടുടയവൻ അറിഞ്ഞു എങ്കിൽ അവൻ ഉണർന്നിരിക്കയും തന്റെ വീടു തുരക്കുവാൻ സമ്മതിക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Therefore be all of you also ready: for in such an hour as all of you think not the Son of man comes.അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ നിനെക്കാത്ത നാഴികയിൽ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ വരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളും ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിപ്പിൻ.

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?എന്നാൽ യജമാനൻ തന്റെ വീട്ടുകാർക്കു തത്സമയത്തു ഭക്ഷണം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ മേൽ ആക്കിവെച്ച വിശ്വസ്തനും ബുദ്ധിമാനും ആയ ദാസൻ ആർ?

Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing.യജമാനൻ വരുമ്പോൾ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു കാണുന്ന ദാസൻ ഭാഗ്യവാൻ.

⁴⁷

Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.അവൻ അവനെ തനിക്കുള്ള സകലത്തിന്മേലും യജമാനൻ ആക്കിവെക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming;എന്നാൽ അവൻ ദുഷ്ടദാസനായി: യജമാനൻ വരുവാൻ താമസിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു,

And shall begin to strike his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;കൂട്ടു ദാസന്മാരെ അടിപ്പാനും കുടിയന്മാരോടുകൂടി തിന്നുകുടിപ്പാനും തുടങ്ങിയാൽ

The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looks not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,ആ ദാസൻ നിരൂപിക്കാത്ത നാളിലും അറിയാത്ത നാഴികയിലും യജമാനൻ വന്നു

And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.അവനെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിച്ചു അവന്നു കപടഭക്തിക്കാരോടുകൂടെ പങ്കുകല്പിക്കും; അവിടെ കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും”

Matthew 25

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.“സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം മണവാളനെ എതിരേല്പാൻ വിളക്കു എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടു പുറപ്പെട്ട പത്തു കന്യകമാരോടു സദൃശം ആകും.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.അവരിൽ അഞ്ചുപേർ ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്തവരും അഞ്ചുപേർ ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവരും ആയിരുന്നു.

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്തവർ വിളക്കു എടുത്തപ്പോൾ എണ്ണ എടുത്തില്ല.

But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവരോ വിളക്കോടുകൂടെ പാത്രത്തിൽ എണ്ണയും എടുത്തു.

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.പിന്നെ മണവാളൻ താമസിക്കുമ്പോൾ എല്ലാവരും മയക്കംപിടിച്ചു ഉറങ്ങി.

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go all of you out to meet him.അർദ്ധരാത്രിക്കോ മണവാളൻ വരുന്നു; അവനെ എതിരേല്പാൻ പുറപ്പെടുവിൻ എന്നു ആർപ്പുവിളി ഉണ്ടായി.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.അപ്പോൾ കന്യകമാർ എല്ലാവരും എഴന്നേറ്റു വിളക്കു തെളിയിച്ചു.

And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.എന്നാൽ ബുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്തവർ ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവരോടു: ഞങ്ങളുടെ വിളക്കു കെട്ടുപോകുന്നതു കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണയിൽ കുറെ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തരുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go all of you rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.ബുദ്ധിയുള്ളവർ: ഞങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങൾക്കും പോരാ എന്നു വരാതിരിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾ വില്ക്കുന്നവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പോയി വാങ്ങിക്കൊൾവിൻ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.അവർ വാങ്ങുവാൻ പോയപ്പോൾ മണവാളൻ വന്നു; ഒരുങ്ങിയിരുന്നവർ അവനോടുകൂടെ കല്യാണസദ്യെക്കു ചെന്നു; വാതിൽ അടെക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.അതിന്റെ ശേഷം മറ്റെ കന്യകമാരും വന്നു: കർത്താവേ, കർത്താവേ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തുറക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Watch therefore, for all of you know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comes.ആകയാൽ നാളും നാഴികയും നിങ്ങൾ അറിയായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പിൻ.

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ പരദേശത്തു പോകുമ്പോൾ ദാസന്മാരെ വിളിച്ചു തന്റെ സമ്പത്തു അവരെ ഏല്പിച്ചു.

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and immediately took his journey.ഒരുവന്നു അഞ്ചു താലന്തു, ഒരുവന്നു രണ്ടു, ഒരുവന്നു ഒന്നു ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ പ്രാപ്തിപോലെ കൊടുത്തു യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടു.

Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.അഞ്ചു താലന്തു ലഭിച്ചവൻ ഉടനെ ചെന്നു വ്യാപാരം ചെയ്തു വേറെ അഞ്ചു താലന്തു സമ്പാദിച്ചു.

And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ രണ്ടു താലന്തു ലഭിച്ചവൻ വേറെ രണ്ടു നേടി.

But he that had received one went and dug in the earth, and hid his lord's money.ഒന്നു ലഭിച്ചവനോ പോയി നിലത്തു ഒരു കുഴി കുഴിച്ചു യജമാനന്റെ ദ്രവ്യം മറെച്ചുവെച്ചു.

After a long time the lord of those servants comes, and reckons with them.വളരെ കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ആ ദാസന്മാരുടെ യജമാനൻ വന്നു അവരുമായി കണക്കു തീർത്തു.

And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, you delivered unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.അഞ്ചു താലന്തു ലഭിച്ചവൻ അടുക്കെ വന്നു വേറെ അഞ്ചു കൂടെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു: യജമാനനേ, അഞ്ചു താലന്തല്ലോ എന്നെ ഏല്പിച്ചതു; ഞാൻ അഞ്ചു താലന്തുകൂടെ നേടിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

His lord said unto him, Well done, you good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter you into the joy of your lord.അതിന്നു യജമാനൻ: നന്നു, നല്ലവനും വിശ്വസ്തനുമായ ദാസനേ, നീ അല്പത്തിൽ വിശ്വസ്തനായിരുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അധികത്തിന്നു വിചാരകനാക്കും; നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ സന്തോഷത്തിലേക്കു പ്രവേശിക്ക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.രണ്ടു താലന്തു ലഭിച്ചവനും അടുക്കെ വന്നു: യജമാനനേ, രണ്ടു താലന്തല്ലോ എന്നെ ഏല്പിച്ചതു; ഞാൻ രണ്ടു താലന്തുകൂടെ നേടിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew you that you are an hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered:ഒരു താലന്തു ലഭിച്ചവനും അടുക്കെ വന്നു: യജമാനനേ, നീ വിതെക്കാത്തേടുത്തു നിന്നു കൊയ്യുകയും വിതറാത്തേടുത്തു നിന്നു ചേർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന കഠിനമനുഷ്യൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിഞ്ഞു

And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the earth: lo, there you have that is yours.ഭയപ്പെട്ടു ചെന്നു നിന്റെ താലന്തു നിലത്തു മറെച്ചുവെച്ചു; നിന്റേതു ഇതാ, എടുത്തുകൊൾക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

His lord answered and said unto him, You wicked and slothful servant, you knew that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not scattered:അതിന്നു യജമാനൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: ദുഷ്ടനും മടിയനും ആയ ദാസനേ, ഞാൻ വിതെക്കാത്തേടത്തു നിന്നു കൊയ്യുകയും വിതറാത്തേടത്തുനിന്നു ചേർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ എന്നു നീ അറിഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

You ought therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with interest.നീ എന്റെ ദ്രവ്യം പൊൻവാണിഭക്കാരെ ഏല്പിക്കേണ്ടിയിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ വന്നു എന്റേതു പലിശയോടുകൂടെ വാങ്ങിക്കൊള്ളുമായിരുന്നു.

Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which has ten talents.ആ താലന്തു അവന്റെ പക്കൽനിന്നു എടുത്തു പത്തു താലന്തു ഉള്ളവന്നു കൊടുപ്പിൻ.

For unto every one that has shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that has not shall be taken away even that which he has.അങ്ങനെ ഉള്ളവന്നു ഏവന്നും ലഭിക്കും; അവന്നു സമൃദ്ധിയും ഉണ്ടാകും; ഇല്ലാത്തവനോടോ ഉള്ളതും കൂടെ എടുത്തുകളയും.

And cast all of you the useless servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.എന്നാൽ കൊള്ളരുതാത്ത ദാസനെ ഏറ്റവും പുറത്തുള്ള ഇരുട്ടിലേക്കു തള്ളിക്കളവിൻ; അവിടെ കരച്ചലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും.

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ തന്റെ തേജസ്സോടെ സകലവിശുദ്ധദൂതന്മാരുമായി വരുമ്പോൾ അവൻ തന്റെ തേജസ്സിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കും.

Matthew 26

And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും പറഞ്ഞു തീർന്നശേഷം യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു:

All of you know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.“രണ്ടു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു പെസഹ ആകുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ; അന്നു മനുഷ്യ പുത്രനെ ക്രൂശിപ്പാൻ ഏല്പിക്കും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,അന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരും കയ്യഫാമഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ മണ്ഡപത്തിൽ വന്നു കൂടി.

And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill him.യേശുവിനെ ഉപായത്താൽ പിടിച്ചു കൊല്ലുവാൻ ആലോചിച്ചു;

But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.എങ്കിലും ജനത്തിൽ കലഹമുണ്ടാകാതിരിപ്പാൻ പെരുനാളിൽ അരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,യേശു ബേഥാന്യയിൽ കുഷ്ഠരോഗിയായിരുന്ന ശീമോന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ

There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at food.ഒരു സ്ത്രീ വിലയേറിയ പരിമളതൈലം നിറഞ്ഞ ഒരു വെണ്കൽഭരണി എടുത്തുംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ അടുക്കെ വന്നു, അവൻ പന്തിയിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതു അവന്റെ തലയിൽ ഒഴിച്ചു.

For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.ഇതു വളരെ വിലെക്കു വിറ്റു ദരിദ്രർക്കു കൊടുക്കാമായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble all of you the woman? for she has wrought a good work upon me.യേശു അതു അറിഞ്ഞു അവരോടു: “സ്ത്രീയെ അസഹ്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതു എന്തു? അവൾ എങ്കൽ നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിയല്ലോ ചെയ്തതു.

For all of you have the poor always with you; but me all of you have not always.ദരിദ്രർ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എല്ലായ്പോഴും അടുക്കെ ഉണ്ടു; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എല്ലായ്പേഴും ഇല്ലതാനും.

For in that she has poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.അവൾ ഈ തൈലം എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിന്മേൽ ഒഴിച്ചതു എന്റെ ശവസംസ്ക്കാരത്തിന്നായി ചെയ്തതാകുന്നു.

And said unto them, What will all of you give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.നിങ്ങൾ എന്തു തരും? ഞാൻ അവനെ കാണിച്ചുതരാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു: അവർ അവന്നു മുപ്പതു വെള്ളിക്കാശു തൂക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.

Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where will you that we prepare for you to eat the passover?പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം നാളിൽ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: നീ പെസഹ കഴിപ്പാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ ഒരുക്കേണ്ടതു എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master says, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at your house with my disciples.അതിന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു: “നിങ്ങൾ നഗരത്തിൽ ഇന്നവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: എന്റെ സമയം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ എന്റെ ശിഷ്യരുമായി നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പെസഹ കഴിക്കും എന്നു ഗുരു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറവിൻ.”

And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.ശിഷ്യന്മാർ യേശു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു പെസഹ ഒരുക്കി.

Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.സന്ധ്യയായപ്പോൾ അവൻ പന്ത്രണ്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ പന്തിയിൽ ഇരുന്നു.

And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.അവർ ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ: “നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരുവൻ എന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?അപ്പോൾ അവർ അത്യന്തം ദുഃഖിച്ചു: ഞാനോ, ഞാനോ, കർത്താവേ, എന്നു ഓരോരുത്തൻ പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങി.

And he answered and said, He that dips his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.അവൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: “എന്നോടുകൂടെ കൈ താലത്തിൽ മുക്കുന്നവൻ തന്നേ എന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും.

The Son of man goes as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ മനുഷ്യ പുത്രൻ പോകുന്നു സത്യം; മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യന്നോ ഹാ കഷ്ടം; ആ മനുഷ്യൻ ജനിക്കാതിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അവന്നു കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.”

Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, You have said.എന്നാറെ അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്ന യൂദാ: ഞാനോ, റബ്ബീ, എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു: “നീ തന്നേ” എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.അവർ ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അപ്പം എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി നുറുക്കി ശിഷ്യന്മാർക്കു കൊടുത്തു: “വാങ്ങി ഭക്ഷിപ്പിൻ; ഇതു എന്റെ ശരീരം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.ഇതു അനേകർക്കുവേണ്ടി പാപമോചനത്തിന്നായി ചൊരിയുന്ന പുതിയ നിയമത്തിന്നുള്ള എന്റെ രക്തം;

Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of you, yet will I never be offended.അതിന്നു പത്രൊസ്; എല്ലാവരും നിങ്കൽ ഇടറിയാലും ഞാൻ ഒരുനാളും ഇടറുകയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto you, That this night, before the cock crow, you shall deny me three times.യേശു അവനോടു: “ഈ രാത്രിയിൽ കോഴി കൂകുംമുമ്പെ നീ മൂന്നുവട്ടം എന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറയും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Peter said unto him, Though I should die with you, yet will I not deny you. Likewise also said all the disciples.നിന്നോടു കൂടെ മരിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നാലും ഞാൻ നിന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറകയില്ല എന്നു പത്രൊസ് അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. അതുപോലെ തന്നേ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും പറഞ്ഞു.

Then comes Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and says unto the disciples, Sit all of you here, while I go and pray yonder.അനന്തരം യേശു അവരുമായി ഗെത്ത്ശെമന എന്ന തോട്ടത്തിൽ വന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു: “ഞാൻ അവിടെ പോയി പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു വരുവോളം ഇവിടെ ഇരിപ്പിൻ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു,

And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.പത്രൊസിനെയും സെബെദി പുത്രന്മാർ ഇരുവരെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ചെന്നു ദുഃഖിച്ചും വ്യാകുലപ്പെട്ടും തുടങ്ങി:

Then says he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry all of you here, and watch with me.“എന്റെ ഉള്ളം മരണവേദനപോലെ അതിദുഃഖിതമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇവിടെ താമസിച്ചു എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പിൻ” എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as you will.പിന്നെ അവൻ അല്പം മുമ്പോട്ടുചെന്നു കവിണ്ണുവീണു: “പിതാവേ, കഴിയും എങ്കിൽ ഈ പാനപാത്രം എങ്കൽ നിന്നു നീങ്ങിപ്പോകേണമേ; എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ അല്ല, നീ ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ ആകട്ടെ” എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

And he comes unto the disciples, and finds them asleep, and says unto Peter, What, could all of you not watch with me one hour?പിന്നെ അവൻ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു, അവർ ഉറങ്ങുന്നതു കണ്ടു, പത്രൊസിനോടു: “എന്നോടു കൂടെ ഒരു നാഴികപോലും ഉണർന്നിരിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലയോ?

Watch and pray, that all of you enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.പരീക്ഷയിൽ അകപ്പെടാതിരിപ്പാൻ ഉണർന്നിരുന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ; ആത്മാവു ഒരുക്കമുള്ളതു, ജഡമോ ബലഹീനമത്രേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, your will be done.രണ്ടാമതും പോയി: “പിതാവേ, ഞാൻ കുടിക്കാതെ അതു നീങ്ങിക്കൂടാ എങ്കിൽ, നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ആകട്ടെ” എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.അനന്തരം അവൻ വന്നു, അവർ കണ്ണിന്നു ഭാരം ഏറുകയാൽ പിന്നെയും ഉറങ്ങുന്നതുകണ്ടു.

And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.അവരെ വിട്ടു മൂന്നാമതും പോയി ആ വചനം തന്നേ ചൊല്ലി പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

Then comes he to his disciples, and says unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.പിന്നെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: “ഇനി ഉറങ്ങി ആശ്വസിച്ചു കൊൾവിൻ; നാഴിക അടുത്തു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ പാപികളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു;

Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that does betray me.എഴുന്നേല്പിൻ, നാം പോക; ഇതാ, എന്നെ കാണിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്നവൻ അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And while he yet spoke, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.അവൻ സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ പന്തിരുവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനായ യൂദയും അവനോടു കൂടെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരും അയച്ച വലിയോരു പുരുഷാരവും വാളും വടികളുമായി വന്നു.

Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നവൻ; ഞാൻ ഏവനെ ചുംബിക്കുമോ അവൻ തന്നേ ആകുന്നു; അവനെ പിടിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നു അവർക്കു ഒരു അടയാളം കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.

And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.ഉടനെ അവൻ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: റബ്ബീ, വന്ദനം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ ചുംബിച്ചു.

And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore are you come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus and took him.യേശു അവനോടു: “സ്നേഹിതാ, നീ വന്ന കാര്യം എന്തു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവർ അടുത്തു യേശുവിന്മേൽ കൈ വെച്ചു അവനെ പിടിച്ചു.

And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and stroke off his ear.അപ്പോൾ യേശുവിനോടുകൂടെയുള്ളവരിൽ ഒരുവൻ കൈ നീട്ടി വാൾ ഊരി, മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ ദാസനെ വെട്ടി അവന്റെ കാതു അറുത്തു.

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again your sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.യേശു അവനോടു: “വാൾ ഉറയിൽ ഇടുക; വാൾ എടുക്കുന്നവർ ഒക്കെയും വാളാൽ നശിച്ചുപോകും.

Think you that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?എന്റെ പിതാവിനോടു ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നേ പന്ത്രണ്ടു ലെഗ്യോനിലും അധികം ദൂതന്മാരെ എന്റെ അരികെ നിറുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു എനിക്കു അപേക്ഷിച്ചുകൂടാ എന്നു തോന്നുന്നുവോ?

But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?എന്നാൽ ഇങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കേണം എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തുകൾക്കു എങ്ങനെ നിവൃത്തിവരും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are all of you come out as against a thief with swords and staves in order to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and all of you laid no hold on me.ആ നാഴികയിൽ യേശു പുരുഷാരത്തോടു: “ഒരു കള്ളന്റെ നേരെ എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ പിടിപ്പാൻ വാളും വടിയുമായി വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ദിവസേന ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ പിടിച്ചില്ല.

But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.എന്നാൽ ഇതു ഒക്കെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ എഴുത്തുകൾ നിവൃത്തിയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു സംഭവിച്ചു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും അവനെ വിട്ടു ഓടിപ്പോയി.

And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.യേശുവിനെ പിടിച്ചവരോ മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ കയ്യഫായുടെ അടുക്കൽ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരും ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടിയിരുന്നേടത്തു അവനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

But Peter followed him far off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.എന്നാൽ പത്രൊസ് ദൂരവെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ അരമനയോളം പിൻചെന്നു, അകത്തു കടന്നു അവസാനം കാണ്മാൻ സേവകന്മാരോടുകൂടി ഇരുന്നു

Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ന്യായാധിപസംഘം ഒക്കെയും യേശുവിനെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്റെ നേരെ കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം അന്വേഷിച്ചു;

But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷികൾ പലരും വന്നിട്ടും പറ്റിയില്ല.

And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.ഒടുവിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ വന്നു: ദൈവമന്ദിരം പൊളിച്ചു മൂന്നു ദിവസംകൊണ്ടു വീണ്ടും പണിവാൻ എനിക്കു കഴിയും എന്നു ഇവൻ പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.

And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answer you nothing? what is it which these witness against you?മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവനോടു: നീ ഒരു ഉത്തരവും പറയുന്നില്ലയോ? ഇവർ നിന്റെ നേരെ സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure you by the living God, that you tell us whether you be the Christ, the Son of God.യേശുവോ മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു. മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ പിന്നെയും അവനോടു: നീ ദൈവപുത്രനായ ക്രിസ്തുതന്നേയോ? പറക എന്നു ഞാൻ ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെക്കൊണ്ടു നിന്നോടു ആണയിട്ടു ചോദിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Jesus says unto him, You have said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall all of you see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.യേശു അവനോടു: “ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു; ഇനി മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ സർവ്വശക്തന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നതും ആകാശമേഘങ്ങളെ വാഹനമാക്കി വരുന്നതും നിങ്ങൾ കാണും എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He has spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now all of you have heard his blasphemy.ഉടനെ മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ വസ്ത്രം കീറി: ഇവൻ ദൈവദൂഷണം പറഞ്ഞു; ഇനി സാക്ഷികളെക്കൊണ്ടു നമുക്കു എന്തു ആവശ്യം? നിങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ ദൈവദൂഷണം കേട്ടുവല്ലോ:

What think all of you? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: അവൻ മരണയോഗ്യൻ എന്നു അവർ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others stroke him with the palms of their hands,അപ്പോൾ അവർ അവന്റെ മുഖത്തു തുപ്പി, അവനെ മുഷ്ടിചുരുട്ടി കുത്തി, ചിലർ അവനെ കന്നത്തടിച്ചു:

Saying, Prophesy unto us, you Christ, Who is he that stroke you?ഹേ, ക്രിസ്തുവേ, നിന്നെ തല്ലിയതു ആർ എന്നു ഞങ്ങളോടു പ്രവചിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, You also were with Jesus of Galilee.എന്നാൽ പത്രൊസ് പുറത്തു നടുമുറ്റത്തു ഇരുന്നു. അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഒരു വേലക്കാരത്തി വന്നു: നീയും ഗലീലക്കാരനായ യേശുവിനോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what you says.അതിന്നു അവൻ: നീ പറയുന്നതു എനിക്കു തിരിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു എല്ലാവരും കേൾക്കെ തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞു.

And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.പിന്നെ അവൻ പടിപ്പുരയിലേക്കു പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ മറ്റൊരുത്തി അവനെ കണ്ടു അവിടെയുള്ളവരോടു: ഇവനും നസറായനായ യേശുവിനോടു കൂടെയായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.ആ മനുഷ്യനെ ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവൻ രണ്ടാമതും ആണയോടെ തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞു.

And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely you also are one of them; for your speech betrayed you.അല്പനേരം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവിടെ നിന്നവർ അടുത്തുവന്നു പത്രൊസിനോടു: നീയും അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഉള്ളവൻ സത്യം; നിന്റെ ഉച്ചാരണവും നിന്നെ വെളിവാക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: ആ മനുഷ്യനെ ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു പ്രാകുവാനും ആണയിടുവാനും തുടങ്ങി; ഉടനെ കോഴി കൂകി.

And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, you shall deny me three times. And he went out, and wept bitterly.എന്നാറെ: “കോഴി കൂകുമുമ്പേ നീ മൂന്നു വട്ടം എന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറയും” എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു പത്രൊസ് ഓർത്തു പുറത്തു പോയി അതി ദുഃഖത്തോടെ കരഞ്ഞു.
