Nahum 2

He that dashes in pieces has come up before your face: keep the stronghold, watch the way, make your loins strong, fortify your power mightily.സംഹാരകൻ നിനക്കെതിരേ കയറിവരുന്നു; കോട്ട കാത്തുകൊൾക; വഴി സൂക്ഷിച്ചു നോക്കുക; അര മുറുക്കുക; നിന്നെത്തന്നേ നല്ലവണ്ണം ശക്തീകരിക്ക.

For the LORD has turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the destroyers have emptied them out, and ruined their vine branches.യഹോവ യാക്കോബിന്റെ മഹിമയെ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മഹിമയെപ്പോലെ യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കും; പിടിച്ചുപറിക്കാർ അവരോടു പിടിച്ചുപറിച്ചു, അവരുടെ മുന്തിരിവള്ളികളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.അവന്റെ വീരന്മാരുടെ പരിച ചുവപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പരാക്രമശാലികൾ ധൂമ്രവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു നില്ക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ സന്നാഹദിവസത്തിൽ രഥങ്ങൾ ഉരുക്കലകുകളാൽ ജ്വലിക്കുന്നു; കുന്തങ്ങൾ ഓങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall clash with one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.രഥങ്ങൾ തെരുക്കളിൽ ചടുചട ചാടുന്നു; വീഥികളിൽ അങ്ങും ഇങ്ങും ഓടുന്നു; തീപ്പന്തങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ അവയെ കാണുന്നു; അവ മിന്നൽപോലെ ഓടുന്നു.

He shall recount his nobles: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.അവൻ തന്റെ കുലീനന്മാരെ ഓർക്കുന്നു; അവർ നടക്കയിൽ ഇടറിപ്പോകുന്നു; അവർ അതിന്റെ മതിലിങ്കലേക്കു ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു ചെല്ലുന്നു; അവിടെ ആൾമറ കെട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.നദികളുടെ ചീപ്പുകൾ തുറക്കുന്നു; രാജമന്ദിരം അഴിഞ്ഞു പോകുന്നു.

And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, beating upon their breasts.അതു നിർണ്ണയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൾ അനാവൃതയായി, അവൾ പോകേണ്ടിവരും; അവളുടെ ദാസിമാർ പ്രാവു കുറുകുംപോലെ കുറുകി മാറത്തടിക്കുന്നു.

But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.നീനെവേ പുരാതനമേ ഒരു ജലാശയംപോലെയായിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവർ ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നു: നില്പിൻ, നില്പിൻ! ആരും തിരിഞ്ഞുനോക്കുന്നില്ലതാനും.

Take all of you the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.വെള്ളി കൊള്ളയിടുവിൻ; പൊന്നു കൊള്ളയിടുവിൻ; വീട്ടുസാമാനത്തിന്നു കണക്കില്ല; സകലവിധ മനോഹരവസ്തുക്കളായ സമ്പത്തും ഉണ്ടു.

She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melts, and the knees strike together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.അവൾ പാഴും വെറുമയും ശൂന്യവുമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഹൃദയം ഉരുകിപ്പോകുന്നു; മുഴങ്കാൽ ആടുന്നു; എല്ലാ അരകളിലും അതിവേദന ഉണ്ടു; എല്ലാവരുടെയും മുഖം വിളറിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feeding-place of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's offspring, and none made them afraid?ആരും ഭയപ്പെടുത്താതെ സിംഹവും സിംഹിയും ബാലസിംഹവും സഞ്ചരിച്ചുപോകുന്ന സിംഹഗുഹയും ബാലസിംഹങ്ങളുടെ മേച്ചൽപുറവും എവിടെ?

The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.സിംഹം തന്റെ കുട്ടികൾക്കു മതിയാകുവോളം കടിച്ചുകീറി വെക്കുകയും സിംഹികൾക്കു വേണ്ടി ഞെക്കിക്കൊല്ലുകയും ഇരകൊണ്ടു തന്റെ ഗഹ്വരങ്ങളെയും കടിച്ചുകീറിയതിനെക്കൊണ്ടു തന്റെ ഗുഹകളെയും നിറെക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

Behold, I am against you, says the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour your young lions: and I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the voice of your messengers shall no more be heard.ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നേരെ വരും; ഞാൻ അതിന്റെ രഥങ്ങളെ ചുട്ടുപുകയാക്കും; നിന്റെ ബാലസിംഹങ്ങൾ വാളിന്നു ഇരയായ്തീരും; ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ഇരയെ ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും; നിന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരുടെ ശബ്ദം ഇനി കേൾക്കയുമില്ല എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Nahum 3

Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departs not;രക്തപാതകങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണത്തിന്നു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! അതു മുഴുവനും വ്യാജവും അപഹാരവും നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; കവർച്ച വിട്ടുപോകുന്നതുമില്ല.

The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the prancing horses, and of the jumping chariots.ചമ്മട്ടിയുടെ ഒച്ച; ചക്രങ്ങൾ കിരുകിരുക്കുന്ന ശബ്ദം; പായുന്ന കുതിരകൾ; ഓടുന്ന രഥങ്ങൾ!

The horseman lifts up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcasses; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:കുതിരകയറുന്ന കുതിരച്ചേവകർ; ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന വാൾ; മിന്നുന്ന കുന്തം; അനേകനിഹതന്മാർ; അനവധി ശവങ്ങൾ; പിണങ്ങൾക്കു കണക്കില്ല; അവർ പിണങ്ങൾ തടഞ്ഞു വീഴുന്നു.

Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the well-favoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that sells nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.പരസംഗംകൊണ്ടു ജാതികളെയും ക്ഷുദ്രപ്രയോഗംകൊണ്ടു വംശങ്ങളെയും വില്ക്കുന്നവളായി ക്ഷുദ്രനൈപുണ്യവും സൌന്ദര്യവുമുള്ള വേശ്യയുടെ പരസംഗബഹുത്വംനിമിത്തം തന്നേ ഇങ്ങനെ ഭവിച്ചതു.

Behold, I am against you, says the LORD of hosts; and I will discover your skirts upon your face, and I will show the nations your nakedness, and the kingdoms your shame.ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നേരെ വരും, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ വസ്ത്രാഗ്രങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ മുഖംവരെ പൊക്കി ജാതികളെ നിന്റെ നഗ്നതയും രാജ്യങ്ങളെ നിന്റെ നാണിടവും കാണിക്കും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

And I will cast abominable filth upon you, and make you vile, and will set you as a gazing-stock.ഞാൻ അമേദ്ധ്യം നിന്റെ മേൽ എറിഞ്ഞു നിന്നെ കുത്സിതയും നിന്ദാവിഷയവുമാക്കും.

And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon you shall flee from you, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will lament for her? whence shall I seek comforters for you?അങ്ങനെ നിന്നെ കാണുന്ന ഏവരും നിന്നെ വിട്ടു ഓടി: നീനെവേ ശൂന്യമായിക്കിടക്കുന്നു; ആർ അവളോടു സഹതാപം കാണിക്കും; ഞാൻ എവിടെനിന്നു നിനക്കു ആശ്വാസകന്മാരെ അന്വേഷിക്കേണ്ടു എന്നു പറയും.

Are you better than populous No, that was situated among the rivers, that had the waters round about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was from the sea?നദികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നതും ചുറ്റും വെള്ളം ഉള്ളതും സമുദ്രം വാടയും സമുദ്രം മതിലും ആയിരിക്കുന്നതുമായ നോ-അമ്മോനെക്കാൾ നീ ഉത്തമ ആകുന്നുവോ?

Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, and it was infinite; Put and Lubim were your helpers.കൂശും മിസ്രയീമും അവളുടെ ബലമായിരുന്നു; അതു സീമയില്ലാത്തതായിരുന്നു; പൂത്യരും ലൂബ്യരും നിന്റെ സഹായകന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.എന്നിട്ടും അവൾ ബദ്ധയായി പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകേണ്ടിവന്നു; അവളുടെ പൈതങ്ങളെ അവർ സകലവീഥികളുടെയും തലെക്കൽവെച്ചു തകർത്തുകളഞ്ഞു; അവളുടെ മാന്യന്മാർക്കു അവർ ചീട്ടിട്ടു, അവളുടെ സകലമഹാന്മാരെയും ചങ്ങലകൊണ്ടു ബന്ധിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

You also shall be drunken: you shall be hid, you also shall seek strength because of the enemy.അങ്ങനെ നീയും ലഹരിപിടിച്ചു ബോധംകെട്ടു വീഴും; നീയും ശത്രുനിമിത്തം ഒരു അഭയസ്ഥാനം അന്വേഷിക്കും.

All your strong holds shall be like fig trees with the first-fruits figs: if they be shaken, they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater.നിന്റെ കോട്ടകൾ ഒക്കെയും തലപ്പഴത്തോടുകൂടിയ അത്തിവൃക്ഷങ്ങൾ പോലെയാകും; കുലുക്കിയാൽ അവ തിന്നുന്നവന്റെ വായിൽതന്നേ വീഴും.

Behold, your people in the midst of you are women: the gates of your land shall be set wide open unto yours enemies: the fire shall devour your bars.നിന്റെ ജനം നിന്റെ നടുവിൽ പെണ്ണുങ്ങൾ ആകുന്നു; നിന്റെ ദേശത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകൾ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്കു വിസ്താരമായി തുറന്നുകിടക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ഓടാമ്പലുകൾ തീക്കു ഇരയായ്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

Draw you waters for the siege, fortify your strong holds: go into clay, and tread the mortar, make strong the brick-kiln.നിരോധത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി വെള്ളം കോരിക്കൊൾക; നിന്റെ കൊത്തളങ്ങളെ ഉറപ്പിക്ക; ചെളിയിൽ ചെന്നു കളിമണ്ണു ചവിട്ടുക; ഇഷ്ടകയച്ചു പിടിക്ക!

There shall the fire devour you; the sword shall cut you off, it shall eat you up like the cankerworm: make yourself many as the cankerworm, make yourself many as the locusts.അവിടെ തീ നിന്നെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും; വാൾ നിന്നെ ഛേദിച്ചു വിട്ടിൽ എന്നപോലെ നിന്നെ തിന്നുകളയും; വിട്ടിൽ എന്നപോലെ നിന്നെ തന്നേ പെരുക്കുക; വെട്ടുക്കിളി എന്നപോലെ നിന്നെത്തന്നേ പെരുക്കുക.

You have multiplied your merchants above the stars of heaven: the cankerworm spoils, and flees away.നിന്റെ വർത്തകന്മാരെ നീ ആകാശത്തിലെ നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളെക്കാൾ വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചുവല്ലൊ; വിട്ടിൽ പടം കഴിച്ചു പറന്നുപോകുന്നു.

Your crowned are as the locusts, and your captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun arises they flee away, and their place is not known where they are.നിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ വെട്ടുക്കിളികൾപോലെയും നിന്റെ സേനാധിപതിമാർ ശിതമുള്ള ദിവസത്തിൽ മതിലുകളിന്മേൽ പറ്റുന്ന വിട്ടിൽകൂട്ടംപോലെയും ആകുന്നു; സൂര്യൻ ഉദിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവ പറന്നുപോകുന്നു; അവ ചെന്നിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലം ആരും അറിയുന്നില്ല.

Your shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria: your nobles shall dwell in the dust: your people is scattered upon the mountains, and no man gathers them.അശ്ശൂർരാജാവേ, നിന്റെ ഇടയന്മാർ ഉറങ്ങുന്നു; നിന്റെ കുലീനന്മാർ വിശ്രമിച്ചു കിടക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ജനം പർവ്വതങ്ങളിൽ ചിതറിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർപ്പാൻ ആരുമില്ല.

There is no healing of your bruise; your wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of you shall clap the hands over you: for upon whom has not your wickedness passed continually?നിന്റെ കേടിന്നു ഉപശാന്തി ഇല്ല; നിന്റെ മുറിവു വിഷമമാകുന്നു; നിന്റെ വർത്തമാനം കേൾക്കുന്ന ഏവരും നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു കൈകൊട്ടും; ആരുടെ മേലാകുന്നു നിന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത ഇടവിടാതെ കവിഞ്ഞുവരാതിരുന്നതു?

Habakkuk 1

The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.ഹബക്കൂക്ക് പ്രവാചകൻ ദർശിച്ച പ്രവാചകം.

O LORD, how long shall I cry, and you will not hear! even cry out unto you of violence, and you will not save!യഹോവേ, എത്രത്തോളം ഞാൻ അയ്യം വിളിക്കയും നീ കേൾക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും? സാഹസംനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ എത്രത്തോളം നിന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കയും നീ രക്ഷിക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും?

Why do you show me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.നീ എന്നെ നീതികേടു കാണുമാറാക്കുന്നതും പീഡനം വെറുതെ നോക്കുന്നതും എന്തിനു? കവർച്ചയും സാഹസവും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഉണ്ടു; കലഹം നടക്കുന്നു; ശണ്ഠ ഉളവായി വരും.

Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment does never go forth: for the wicked does compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceeds.അതുകൊണ്ടു ന്യായപ്രമാണം അയഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ന്യായം ഒരുനാളും വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നതുമില്ല; ദുഷ്ടൻ നീതിമാനെ വളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ന്യായം വക്രതയായി വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു.

Behold all of you among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which all of you will not believe, though it be told you.ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചു നോക്കുവിൻ! ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു വിസ്മയിപ്പിൻ! ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ കാലത്തു ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്യും; അതു വിവരിച്ചുകേട്ടാൽ നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കയില്ല.

For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwelling places that are not their's.ഞാൻ ഉഗ്രതയും വേഗതയുമുള്ള ജാതിയായ കല്ദയരെ ഉണർത്തും; അവർ തങ്ങളുടേതല്ലാത്ത വാസസ്ഥലങ്ങളെ കൈവശമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഭൂമണ്ഡലത്തിൽ നീളെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.

They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.അവർ ഘോരവും ഭയങ്കരവുമായുള്ളവർ; അവരുടെ ന്യായവും ശ്രേഷ്ഠതയും അവരിൽനിന്നു തന്നേ പുറപ്പെടുന്നു.

Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hastes to eat.അവരുടെ കുതിരകൾ പുള്ളിപ്പുലികളെക്കാൾ വേഗതയും വൈകുന്നേരത്തെ ചെന്നായ്ക്കളെക്കാൾ ഉഗ്രതയുമുള്ളവ; അവരുടെ കുതിരച്ചേവകർ ഗർവ്വിച്ചോടിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ കുതിരച്ചേവകർ ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു വരുന്നു; തിന്നുവാൻ ബദ്ധപ്പെടുന്ന കഴുകനെപ്പോലെ അവർ പറന്നു വരുന്നു.

They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.അവർ ഏവരും സംഹാരത്തിന്നായി വരുന്നു; അവരുടെ മുഖം മുമ്പോട്ടു ബദ്ധപ്പെടുന്നു; അവർ മണൽപോലെ ബദ്ധന്മാരെ പിടിച്ചുചേർക്കുന്നു.

And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.അവർ രാജാക്കന്മാരെ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു; പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ അവർക്കു ഹാസ്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ഏതു കോട്ടയെയും കുറിച്ചു ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ മണ്ണു കുന്നിച്ചു അതിനെ പിടിക്കും.

Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.അന്നു അവൻ കാറ്റുപോലെ അടിച്ചുകടന്നു അതിക്രമിച്ചു കുറ്റക്കാരനായ്തീരും; സ്വന്തശക്തിയല്ലോ അവന്നു ദൈവം.

Are you not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, you have ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, you have established them for correction.എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ പുരാതനമേ എന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനല്ലയോ? ഞങ്ങൾ മരിക്കയില്ല; യഹോവേ, നീ അവനെ ന്യായവിധിക്കായി നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പാറയായുള്ളോവേ, ശിക്ഷെക്കായി നീ അവനെ നിയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and can not look on iniquity: wherefore look you upon them that deal treacherously, and hold your tongue when the wicked devours the man that is more righteous than he?ദോഷം കണ്ടുകൂടാതവണ്ണം നിർമ്മലദൃഷ്ടിയുള്ളവനും പീഡനം കാണ്മാൻ കഴിയാത്തവനുമായുള്ളോവേ, ദ്രോഹം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരെ നീ വെറുതെ നോക്കുന്നതും ദുഷ്ടൻ തന്നിലും നീതിമാനായവനെ വിഴുങ്ങുമ്പോൾ

And make men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?നീ മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കുന്നതും മനുഷ്യരെ സമുദ്രത്തിലെ മത്സ്യങ്ങളെപ്പോലെയും അധിപതിയില്ലാത്ത ഇഴജാതികളെപ്പോലെയും ആക്കുന്നതും എന്തു?

They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.അവൻ അവയെ ഒക്കെയും ചൂണ്ടൽകൊണ്ടു പിടിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നു; അവൻ വലകൊണ്ടു അവയെ വലിച്ചെടുക്കുന്നു; കോരുവലയിൽ ചേർത്തുകൊള്ളുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ സന്തോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കുന്നു.

Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their food abundant.അതു ഹേതുവായി അവൻ തന്റെ വലെക്കു ബലികഴിക്കുന്നു; കോരുവലെക്കു ധൂപം കാട്ടുന്നു; അവയാലല്ലോ അവന്റെ ഓഹരി പുഷ്ടിയുള്ളതും അവന്റെ ആഹാരം പൂർത്തിയുള്ളതുമായ്തീരുന്നതു.

Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?അതുനിമിത്തം അവൻ തന്റെ വല കുടഞ്ഞു, ജാതികളെ ആദരിക്കാതെ നിത്യം കൊല്ലുവാൻ പോകുമോ?
