Acts 28

And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടശേഷം ദ്വീപിന്റെ പേർ മെലിത്ത എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

And the natives people showed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.അവിടത്തെ ബർബരന്മാർ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു അസാധാരണ ദയ കാണിച്ചു മഴയും ശീതവും നിമിത്തം തീ കൂട്ടി ഞങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും കൈക്കൊണ്ടു.

And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.പൌലൊസ് കുറെ വിറകു പെറുക്കി തീയിൽ ഇട്ടപ്പൊൾ ഒരു അണലി ചൂടുനിമിത്തം പുറപ്പെട്ടു അവന്റെ കൈക്കു പറ്റി.

And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffers not to live.ആ ജന്തു അവന്റെ കൈമേൽ തൂങ്ങുന്നതു ബർബരന്മാർ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ: ഈ മനുഷ്യൻ ഒരു കുലപാതകൻ സംശയമില്ല; കടലിലൽ നിന്നു രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടിട്ടും നീതിദേവി അവനെ ജീവിച്ചിരിപ്പാൻ സമ്മതിക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നു തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.അവനോ ആ ജന്തുവിനെ തീയിൽ കുടഞ്ഞു കളഞ്ഞു, ദോഷം ഒന്നും പറ്റിയില്ല.

Nevertheless they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.അവൻ വീർക്കുകയോ പെട്ടെന്നു ചത്തു വീഴുകയോ ചെയ്യും എന്നു വെച്ചു അവർ കാത്തുനിന്നു; വളരെ നേരം കാത്തുനിന്നിട്ടും അവന്നു ആപത്തു ഒന്നും ഭവിക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നു കണ്ടു മനസ്സു മാറി അവൻ ഒരു ദേവൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us three days courteously.ആ സ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ സമീപത്തു പുബ്ളിയൊസ് എന്ന ദ്വീപുപ്രമാണിക്കു ഒരു ജന്മഭൂമി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ ഞങ്ങളെ ചേർത്തു മൂന്നു ദിവസം ആദരവോടെ അതിഥിസൽക്കാരം ചെയ്തു.

And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a dysentery: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.പുബ്ളിയൊസിന്റെ അപ്പൻ പനിയും അതിസാരവും പിടിച്ചു കിടപ്പായിരുന്നു. പൌലൊസ് അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അകത്തു ചെന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു അവന്റെമേൽ കൈവെച്ചു സൌഖ്യം വരുത്തി.

So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:ഇതു സംഭവിച്ചശേഷം ദ്വീപിലെ മറ്റു ദീനക്കാരും വന്നു സൌഖ്യം പ്രാപിച്ചു.

Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary.അവരും ഏറിയ സമ്മാനം തന്നു ഞങ്ങളെ മാനിച്ചു; ഞങ്ങൾ കപ്പൽ കയറുന്ന സമയം ആവശ്യമുള്ളതു കയറ്റിത്തന്നു.

And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.മൂന്നു മാസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ആ ദ്വീപിൽ ശീതകാലം കഴിച്ചു കിടന്നിരുന്ന അശ്വനി ചിഹ്നമുള്ളോരു അലെക്സന്ത്രിയകപ്പലിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ കയറി പുറപ്പെട്ടു,

And landing at Syracuse, we tarried there three days.സുറക്കൂസയിൽ കരെക്കിറിങ്ങി മൂന്നു നാൾ പാർത്തു; അവിടെ നിന്നു ചുറ്റി ഓടി രേഗ്യൊനിൽ എത്തി.

And from thence we fetched a compass, and came to Rhegium: and after one day the south wind blew, and we came the next day to Puteoli:ഒരു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു തെക്കങ്കാറ്റു അടിച്ചതിനാൽ പിറ്റേന്നു പുത്യൊലിയിൽ എത്തി.

Where we found brethren, and were desired to tarry with them seven days: and so we went toward Rome.അവിടെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ കണ്ടു തങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഏഴു നാൾ താമസിക്കേണം എന്നു അവൻ അപേക്ഷിച്ചു; പിന്നെ ഞങ്ങൾ റോമയിൽ എത്തി.

And from thence, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii forum, and The three taverns: whom when Paul saw, he thanked God, and took courage.അവിടത്തെ സഹോദരന്മാർ ഞങ്ങളുടെ വർത്തമാനം കേട്ടിട്ടു അപ്യപുരവും ത്രിമണ്ഡപവും വരെ ഞങ്ങളെ എതിരേറ്റു വന്നു; അവരെ കണ്ടിട്ടു പൌലൊസ് ദൈവത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തി ധൈര്യം പ്രാപിച്ചു.

And when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard: but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him.റോമയിൽ എത്തിയശേഷം തനിക്കു കാവലായ പടയാളിയോടുകൂടെ വേറിട്ടു പാർപ്പാൻ പൌലൊസിന്നു അനുവാദം കിട്ടി.

And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.മൂന്നു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ യെഹൂദന്മാരിൽ പ്രധാനികളായവരെ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു. അവർ വന്നുകൂടിയപ്പോൾ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞാൻ ജനത്തിന്നോ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ആചാരങ്ങൾക്കോ വിരോധം ഒന്നും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ലാതിരിക്കെ എന്നെ യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു ബദ്ധനായി റോമക്കാരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു.

Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of death in me.അവർ വിസ്തരിച്ചാറെ മരണയോഗ്യമായതു ഒന്നും എന്നിൽ കാണായ്കയാൽ എന്നെ വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ അവർക്കു മനസുണ്ടായിരുന്നു

But when the Jews spoke against it, I was constrained to appeal unto Caesar; not that I had ought to accuse my nation of.എന്നാൽ യെഹൂദന്മാർ എതിർപറകയാൽ ഞാൻ കൈസരെ അഭയം ചൊല്ലേണ്ടിവന്നു; എന്റെ ജാതിയുടെ നേരെ അന്യായം ബോധിപ്പിപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു യാതൊന്നും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടല്ലതാനും.

For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.ഇതു ഹേതുവായി നിങ്ങളെ കണ്ടു സംസാരിക്കേണം എന്നുവെച്ചു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു. യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പ്രത്യാശനിമിത്തം ആകുന്നു ഞാൻ ഈ ചങ്ങല ചുമക്കുന്നതു.

And they said unto him, We neither received letters out of Judaea concerning you, neither any of the brethren that came showed or spoke any harm of you.അവർ അവനോടു; നിന്റെ സംഗതിക്കു യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ നിന്നു ഞങ്ങൾക്കു എഴുത്തു വരികയോ സഹോദരന്മാരിൽ ആരും വന്നു നിന്നെക്കൊണ്ടു യാതൊരു ദോഷവുംപറകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല.

But we desire to hear of you what you think: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.എങ്കിലും ഈ മതഭേദത്തിന്നു എല്ലായിടത്തും വിരോധം പറയുന്നു എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നതിനാൽ നിന്റെ മതം ഇന്നതു എന്നു നീ തന്നേ പറഞ്ഞുകേൾപ്പാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.ഒരു ദിവസം നിശ്ചയിച്ചിട്ടു പലരും അവന്റെ പാർപ്പിടത്തിൽ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു; അവരോടു അവൻ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞു മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണവും പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളും ആധാരമാക്കി യേശുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അവർക്കു ബോധം വരുമാറു രാവിലെ തുടങ്ങി സന്ധ്യവരെ വിവരിച്ചു.

And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു ചിലർ സമ്മതിച്ചു; ചിലർ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.

And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spoke the Holy Spirit by Isaiah the prophet unto our fathers,അവർ തമ്മിൽ യോജിക്കാതെ പിരിഞ്ഞുപോകുമ്പോൾ പൌലൊസ് അവരോടു ഒരു വാക്കു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing all of you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing all of you shall see, and not perceive:“നിങ്ങൾ ചെവികൊണ്ടു കേട്ടിട്ടും ഗ്രഹിക്കാതിരിക്കും; കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു കണ്ടിട്ടും കാണാതിരിക്കും; കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടു കാണാതെയും ചെവികൊണ്ടു കേൾക്കാതെയും ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടു ഗ്രഹിച്ചു മനന്തിരിയാതെയും.

For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.ഞാൻ അവരെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയം തടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അവരുടെ ചെവി കേൾപ്പാൻ മന്ദമായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ കണ്ണു അടെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോയി പറക” എന്നിങ്ങനെ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു യെശയ്യാപ്രവാചകൻ മുഖാന്തരം നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു ശരി തന്നേ.

Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.ആകയാൽ ദൈവം തന്റെ ഈ രക്ഷ ജാതികൾക്കു അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ കേൾക്കും എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞുകൊൾവിൻ.

And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.അവൻ കൂലിക്കു വാങ്ങിയ വീട്ടിൽ രണ്ടു സംവത്സരം മുഴുവൻ പാർത്തു, തന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നവരെ ഒക്കെയും കൈക്കൊണ്ടു

And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,പൂർണ്ണ പ്രാഗത്ഭ്യത്തോടെ വിഘ്നംകൂടാതെ ദൈവരാജ്യം പ്രസംഗിച്ചും കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഉപദേശിച്ചും പോന്നു.

Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.—

Romans 1

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,ദൈവം തന്റെ പുത്രനും നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവുമായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു

(Which he had promised before by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)വിശുദ്ധരേഖകളിൽ തന്റെ പ്രവാചകന്മാർ മുഖാന്തരം മുമ്പുകൂട്ടി വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്ത സുവിശേഷത്തിന്നായി വേർതിരിച്ചു വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട അപ്പൊസ്തലനും യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദാസനുമായ പൌലൊസ്

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;റോമയിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്നു പ്രിയരും വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുമായ എല്ലാവർക്കും എഴുതുന്നതു:

And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കൽനിന്നും കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിങ്കൽനിന്നും നിങ്ങൾക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:ജഡം സംബന്ധിച്ചു ദാവീദിന്റെ സന്തതിയിൽനിന്നു ജനിക്കയും മരിച്ചിട്ടു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കയാൽ വിശുദ്ധിയുടെ ആത്മാവു സംബന്ധിച്ചു ദൈവപുത്രൻ എന്നു ശക്തിയോടെ നിർണ്ണയിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നവനാലല്ലോ ഞങ്ങൾ

Among whom are all of you also the called of Jesus Christ:അവന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നായി സകലജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയിൽ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നു അനുസരണം വരുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു കൃപയും അപ്പൊസ്തലത്വവും പ്രാപിച്ചതു.

To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.അവരിൽ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്നായി വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ട നിങ്ങളും ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസം സർവ്വലോകത്തിലും പ്രസിദ്ധമായിരിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ ഞാൻ ആദ്യം തന്നേ എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു യേശുക്രിസ്തുമുഖാന്തരം നിങ്ങൾക്കെല്ലാവർക്കും വേണ്ടി സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ നിങ്ങളെ ഓർത്തുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവേഷ്ടത്താൽ എപ്പോൾ എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവാൻ സാധിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയിൽ എപ്പോഴും യാചിക്കുന്നു

Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.എന്നുള്ളതിന്നു അവന്റെ പുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തിൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ആത്മാവിൽ ആരാധിക്കുന്ന ദൈവം എനിക്കു സാക്ഷി.

For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end all of you may be established;നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്ഥിരീകരണത്തിന്നായി ആത്മികവരം വല്ലതും നിങ്ങൾക്കു നല്കേണ്ടതിന്നു,

That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.അതായതു നിങ്ങൾക്കും എനിക്കും ഒത്തൊരുമിച്ചുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്താൽ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ എനിക്കും ആശ്വാസം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ കാണ്മാൻ വാഞ്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let until now,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.എന്നാൽ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു ശേഷം ജാതികളിൽ എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങളിലും വല്ല ഫലവും ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരുവാൻ പലപ്പോഴും ഭാവിച്ചു എങ്കിലും ഇതുവരെ മുടക്കം വന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയാതിരിക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.യവനന്മാർക്കും ബർബരന്മാർക്കും ജ്ഞാനികൾക്കും ബുദ്ധിഹീനർക്കും ഞാൻ കടക്കാരൻ ആകുന്നു.

So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.അങ്ങനെ റോമയിലുള്ള നിങ്ങളോടും സുവിശേഷം അറിയിപ്പാൻ എന്നാൽ ആവോളം ഞാൻ ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.സുവിശേഷത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു എനിക്കു ലജ്ജയില്ല; വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നും ആദ്യം യെഹൂദന്നും പിന്നെ യവനവന്നും അതു രക്ഷെക്കായി ദൈവശക്തിയാകുന്നുവല്ലോ.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.അതിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതി വിശ്വാസം ഹേതുവായും വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നായിക്കൊണ്ടും വെളിപ്പെടുന്നു. “നീതിമാൻ വിശ്വാസത്താൽ ജീവിക്കും” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;അനീതികൊണ്ടു സത്യത്തെ തടുക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യരുടെ സകല അഭക്തിക്കും അനീതിക്കും നേരെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കോപം സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു വെളിപ്പെടുന്നു.

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God has showed it unto them.ദൈവത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അറിയാകുന്നതു അവർക്കു വെളിവായിരിക്കുന്നു;

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:ദൈവം അവർക്കു വെളിവാക്കിയല്ലോ. അവന്റെ നിത്യശക്തിയും ദിവ്യത്വവുമായി അവന്റെ അദൃശ്യലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ ലോകസൃഷ്ടിമുതൽ അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളാൽ ബുദ്ധിക്കു തെളിവായി വെളിപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്നു; അവർക്കു പ്രതിവാദമില്ലാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.അവർ ദൈവത്തെ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവനെ ദൈവമെന്നു ഓർത്തു മഹത്വീകരിക്കയോ നന്ദി കാണിക്കയോ ചെയ്യാതെ തങ്ങളുടെ നിരൂപണങ്ങളിൽ വ്യർത്ഥരായിത്തീർന്നു, അവരുടെ വിവേകമില്ലാത്ത ഹൃദയം ഇരുണ്ടുപോയി.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,ജ്ഞാനികൾ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു അവർ മൂഢരായിപ്പോയി;

And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.അക്ഷയനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ തേജസ്സിനെ അവർ ക്ഷയമുള്ള മനുഷ്യൻ, പക്ഷി, നാൽക്കാലി, ഇഴജാതി എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപസാദൃശ്യമായി മാറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:അതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവം അവരെ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളിലെ മോഹങ്ങളിൽ സ്വന്തശരീരങ്ങളെ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ അവമാനിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അശുദ്ധിയിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു.

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സത്യം അവർ വ്യാജമാക്കി മാറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞു, സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവനെക്കാൾ സൃഷ്ടിയെ ഭജിച്ചു ആരാധിച്ചു; അവൻ എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ, ആമേൻ.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:അതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവം അവരെ അവമാനരാഗങ്ങളിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു; അവരുടെ സ്ത്രീകൾ സ്വാഭാവികഭോഗത്തെ സ്വഭാവവിരുദ്ധമാക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.അവ്വണ്ണം പുരുഷന്മാരും സ്വാഭാവികസ്ത്രീഭോഗം വിട്ടു അന്യോന്യം കാമം ജ്വലിച്ചു ആണോടു ആൺ അവലക്ഷണമായതു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ വിഭ്രമത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യമായ പ്രതിഫലം തങ്ങളിൽ തന്നേ പ്രാപിച്ചു.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;ദൈവത്തെ പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിൽ ധരിപ്പാൻ ഇഷ്ടമില്ലാഞ്ഞതിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം ദൈവം അവരെ ഉചിതമല്ലാത്തതു ചെയ്‍വാൻ നികൃഷ്ടബുദ്ധിയിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു.

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, ill will; whisperers,അവർ സകല അനീതിയും ദുഷ്ടതയും അത്യാഗ്രഹവും ദുർബ്ബുദ്ധിയും നിറഞ്ഞവർ; അസൂയ, കുല, പിണക്കം, കപടം, ദുശ്ശീലം എന്നിവ തിങ്ങിയവർ,

Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,കുരളക്കാർ, ഏഷണിക്കാർ, ദൈവദ്വേഷികൾ, നിഷ്ഠൂരന്മാർ, ഗർവ്വിഷ്ഠന്മാർ, ആത്മപ്രശംസക്കാർ, പുതുദോഷം സങ്കല്പിക്കുന്നവർ, മാതാപിതാക്കന്മാരെ അനുസരിക്കാത്തവർ,

Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, refusing to reconcile, unmerciful:ബുദ്ധിഹീനർ, നിയമലംഘികൾ, വാത്സല്യമില്ലാത്തവർ, കനിവറ്റവർ

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.ഈ വക പ്രവൃത്തിക്കുന്നവർ മരണയോഗ്യർ എന്നുള്ള ദൈവന്യായം അവർ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവയെ പ്രവർത്തിക്ക മാത്രമല്ല പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കയുംകൂടെ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Romans 2

Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whosoever you are that judge: for wherein you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you that judge do the same things.അതുകൊണ്ടു വിധിക്കുന്ന ഏതു മനുഷ്യനുമായുള്ളോവേ, നിനക്കു പ്രതിവാദം പറവാൻ ഇല്ല; അന്യനെ വിധിക്കുന്നതിൽ നീ നിന്നെത്തന്നെ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കുന്നു; വിധിക്കുന്ന നീ അതു തന്നേ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.എന്നാൽ ആവക പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരുടെ നേരെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിധി സത്യാനുസരണയായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നു.

And think you this, O man, that judge them which do such things, and do the same, that you shall escape the judgment of God?ആവക പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരെ വിധിക്കയും അതു തന്നേ പ്രവർത്തിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മനുഷ്യ, നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിധിയിൽനിന്നു തെറ്റി ഒഴിയും എന്നു നിനെക്കുന്നുവോ?

Or despise you the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?അല്ല, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദയ നിന്നെ മാനസാന്തരത്തിലേക്കു നടത്തുന്നു എന്നു അറിയാതെ നീ അവന്റെ ദയ, ക്ഷമ, ദീർഘക്ഷാന്തി എന്നിവയുടെ ഐശ്വര്യം നിരസിക്കുന്നുവോ?

But after your hardness and refusing to repent heart treasure up unto yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;എന്നാൽ നിന്റെ കാഠിന്യത്താലും അനുതാപമില്ലാത്ത ഹൃദയത്താലും നീ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നീതിയുള്ള വിധി വെളിപ്പെടുന്ന കോപദിവസത്തേക്കു നിനക്കു തന്നേ കോപം ചരതിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നു.

Who will render to every man according to his deeds:അവൻ ഓരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു തക്ക പകരം ചെയ്യും.

To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു വേണ്ടുന്ന സ്ഥിരത പൂണ്ടു തേജസ്സും മാനവും അക്ഷയതയും അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവർക്കു

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,നിത്യജീവനും, ശാഠ്യം പൂണ്ടു സത്യം അനുസരിക്കാതെ അനീതി അനുസരിക്കുന്നവർക്കു കോപവും ക്രോധവും കൊടുക്കും.

Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;തിന്മ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏതു മനുഷ്യാത്മാവിന്നും കഷ്ടവും സങ്കടവും ആദ്യം യെഹൂദന്നും പിന്നെ യവനന്നും വരും.

But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:നന്മ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏവന്നും മഹത്വവും മാനവും സമാധാനവും ആദ്യം യെഹൂദന്നും പിന്നെ യവനന്നും ലഭിക്കും.

For there is no respect of persons with God.ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പക്കൽ മുഖപക്ഷം ഇല്ലല്ലോ.

For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഇല്ലാതെ പാപം ചെയ്തവർ ഒക്കെയും ന്യായപ്രമാണം കൂടാതെ നശിച്ചുപോകും; ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു പാപം ചെയ്തവർ ഒക്കെയും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്താൽ വിധിക്കപ്പെടും.

(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.ന്യായപ്രമാണം കേൾക്കുന്നവരല്ല ദൈവസന്നിധിയിൽ നീതിമാന്മാർ; ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആചരിക്കുന്നവരത്രേ നീതികരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതു.

For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്ത ജാതികൾ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലുള്ളതു സ്വഭാവത്താൽ ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ ന്യായപ്രമാണമില്ലാത്ത അവർ തങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നേ ഒരു ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആകുന്നു.

Which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)അവരുടെ മനസ്സാക്ഷികൂടെ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞും അവരുടെ വിചാരങ്ങൾ തമ്മിൽ കുറ്റം ചുമത്തുകയോ പ്രതിവാദിക്കയോ ചെയ്തുംകൊണ്ടു അവർ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തി തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതായി കാണിക്കുന്നു;

In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.ദൈവം യേശുക്രിസ്തു മുഖാന്തരം മനുഷ്യരുടെ രഹസ്യങ്ങളെ എന്റെ സുവിശേഷപ്രകാരം ന്യായം വിധിക്കുന്ന നാളിൽ തന്നേ.

Behold, you are called a Jew, and rest in the law, and make your boast of God,നീയോ യെഹൂദൻ എന്നു പേർകൊണ്ടും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചും

And know his will, and approve the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;ദൈവത്തിൽ പ്രശംസിച്ചും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ നിന്നു പഠിക്കയാൽ അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം അറിഞ്ഞും ഭേദാഭേദങ്ങൾ വിവേചിച്ചും

And are confident that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,ജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെയും സത്യത്തിന്റെയും സ്വരൂപം ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ നിന്നു നിനക്കു ലഭിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു നീ കുരുടർക്കു വഴി കാട്ടുന്നവൻ,

An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which have the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.ഇരുട്ടിലുള്ളവർക്കു വെളിച്ചം, മൂഢരെ പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ, ശിശുക്കൾക്കു ഉപദേഷ്ടാവു എന്നു ഉറെച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നെങ്കിൽ-

You therefore which teach another, teach you not yourself? you that preach a man should not steal, do you steal?ഹേ, അന്യനെ ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നവനേ, നീ നിന്നെത്തന്നെ ഉപദേശിക്കാത്തതു എന്തു? മോഷ്ടിക്കരുതു എന്നു പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്ന നീ മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്നുവോ?

You that says a man should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? you that abhor idols, do you commit sacrilege?വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു എന്നു പറയുന്ന നീ വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യുന്നുവോ? വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ വെറുക്കുന്ന നീ ക്ഷേത്രം കവർച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നുവോ?

You that make your boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonour you God?ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ പ്രശംസിക്കുന്ന നീ ന്യായപ്രമാണലംഘനത്താൽ ദൈവത്തെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നുവോ?

²⁴

For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.“നിങ്ങൾ നിമിത്തം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നാമം ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ദുഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു” എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

For circumcision verily profits, if you keep the law: but if you be a breaker of the law, your circumcision is made uncircumcision.നീ ന്യായപ്രമാണം ആചരിച്ചാൽ പരിച്ഛേദന പ്രയോജനമുള്ളതു സത്യം; ന്യായപ്രമാണലംഘിയായാലോ നിന്റെ പരിച്ഛേദന അഗ്രചർമ്മമായിത്തീർന്നു.

²⁶

Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?അഗ്രചർമ്മി ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിന്റെ നിയമങ്ങളെ പ്രമാണിച്ചാൽ അവന്റെ അഗ്രചർമ്മം പരിച്ഛേദന എന്നു എണ്ണുകയില്ലയോ?

And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfill the law, judge you, who by the letter and circumcision do transgress the law?സ്വഭാവത്താൽ അഗ്രചർമ്മിയായവൻ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ അക്ഷരവും പരിച്ഛേദനയുമുള്ള ന്യായപ്രമാണലംഘിയായ നിന്നെ അവൻ വിധിക്കയില്ലയോ?

²⁸

For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:പുറമെ യെഹൂദനായവൻ യെഹൂദനല്ല; പുറമെ ജഡത്തിലുള്ളതു പരിച്ഛേദനയുമല്ല;

²⁹

But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.അകമെ യെഹൂദനായവനത്രേ യെഹൂദൻ; അക്ഷരത്തിലല്ല ആത്മാവിലുള്ള ഹൃദയപരിച്ഛേദനയത്രേ പരിച്ഛേദന; അവന്നു മനുഷ്യരാലല്ല ദൈവത്താൽ തന്നേ പുകഴ്ച ലഭിക്കും.
