Acts 1

The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,തെയോഫിലൊസേ, ഞാൻ എഴുതിയ ഒന്നാമത്തെ ചരിത്രം യേശു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാർക്കു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാൽ കല്പന കൊടുത്തിട്ടു ആരോഹണം ചെയ്തനാൾവരെ അവൻ ചെയ്തും ഉപദേശിച്ചും തുടങ്ങിയ സകലത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Spirit had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:അവൻ കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിച്ചശേഷം നാല്പതു നാളോളം അവർക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി ദൈവരാജ്യം സംബന്ധിച്ച കാര്യങ്ങൾ

To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു താൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അനേകം ദൃഷ്ടാന്തങ്ങളാൽ അവർക്കു കാണിച്ചു കൊടുത്തു.

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, says he, all of you have heard of me.അങ്ങനെ അവൻ അവരുമായി കൂടിയിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു വാങ്ങിപ്പോകാതെ എന്നോടു കേട്ട പിതാവിന്റെ വാഗ്ദത്തത്തിനായി കാത്തിരിക്കേണം;

For John truly baptized with water; but all of you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days behind.യോഹന്നാൻ വെള്ളംകൊണ്ടു സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചു. നിങ്ങൾക്കോ ഇനി ഏറെനാൾ കഴിയുംമുമ്പെ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവുകൊണ്ടു സ്നാനം ലഭിക്കും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, will you at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂടിയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ അവർ അവനോടു: കർത്താവേ, നീ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ഈ കാലത്തിലോ രാജ്യം യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കിക്കൊടുക്കുന്നതു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in his own power.അവൻ അവരോടു: പിതാവു തന്റെ സ്വന്ത അധികാരത്തിൽ വെച്ചിട്ടുള്ള കാലങ്ങളെയോ സമയങ്ങളേയോ അറിയുന്നതു നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളതല്ല.

But all of you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and all of you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.എന്നാൽ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു നിങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ വരുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ ശക്തി ലഭിച്ചിട്ടു യെരൂശലേമിലും യെഹൂദ്യയിൽ എല്ലാടത്തും ശമര്യയിലും ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തോളവും എന്റെ സാക്ഷികൾ ആകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.ഇതു പറഞ്ഞശേഷം അവർ കാൺകെ അവൻ ആരോഹണം ചെയ്തു; ഒരു മേഘം അവനെ മൂടീട്ടു അവൻ അവരുടെ കാഴ്ചെക്കു മറഞ്ഞു.

And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;അവൻ പോകുന്നേരം അവർ ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു ഉറ്റുനോക്കുമ്പോൾ വെള്ള വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാർ അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു:

Which also said, All of you men of Galilee, why stand all of you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as all of you have seen him go into heaven.ഗലീലാപുരുഷന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങൾ ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു നോക്കിനില്ക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നിങ്ങളെ വിട്ടു സ്വർഗ്ഗാരോഹണം ചെയ്ത ഈ യേശുവിനെ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലേക്കു പോകുന്നവനായി നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടതുപോലെ തന്നേ അവൻ വീണ്ടും വരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.അവർ യെരൂശലേമിന്നു സമീപത്തു ഒരു ശബ്ബത്ത് ദിവസത്തെ വഴിദൂരമുള്ള ഒലീവ് മലവിട്ടു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.

And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.അവിടെ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവർ പാർത്ത മാളികമുറിയിൽ കയറിപ്പോയി, പത്രൊസ്, യോഹന്നാൻ, യാക്കോബ്, അന്ത്രെയാസ്, ഫിലിപ്പൊസ്, തോമസ്, ബർത്തൊലൊമായി, മത്തായി, അൽഫായുടെ മകനായ യക്കോബ്, എരിവുകരനായ ശിമോൻ, യാക്കോബിന്റെ മകനായ യൂദാ ഇവർ എല്ലാവരും

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.സ്ത്രീകളോടും യേശുവിന്റെ അമ്മയായ മറിയയോടും അവന്റേ സഹോദരന്മാരോടും കൂടെ ഒരുമനപ്പെട്ടു പ്രാർത്ഥന കഴിച്ചു പോന്നു.

And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)ആ കാലത്തു ഏകദേശം നൂറ്റിരുപതു പേരുള്ള ഒരു സംഘം കൂടിയിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ പത്രൊസ് സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ നടുവിൽ എഴുന്നേറ്റുനിന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു:

Men and brethren, this scripture must essentially have been fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit by the mouth of David spoke before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.സഹോദരന്മാരായ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, യേശുവിനെ പിടിച്ചവർക്കു വഴികാട്ടിയായിത്തീർന്ന യൂദയെക്കുറിച്ചു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ദാവീദ് മുഖാന്തരം മുൻപറഞ്ഞ തിരുവെഴുത്തിന്നു നിവൃത്തിവരുവാൻ ആവശ്യമായിരുന്നു.

For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.അവൻ ഞങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടവനായി ഈ ശുശ്രൂഷയിൽ പങ്കുലഭിച്ചിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.അവൻ അനീതിയുടെ കൂലികൊണ്ടു ഒരു നിലം മേടിച്ചു തലകീഴായി വീണു നടുവെ പിളർന്നു അവന്റെ കുടലെല്ലാം തുറിച്ചുപോയി.

And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.അതു യെരൂശലേമിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും അറിഞ്ഞതാകകൊണ്ടു ആ നിലത്തിന്നു അവരുടെ ഭാഷയിൽ രക്തനിലം എന്നർത്ഥമുള്ള അക്കൽദാമാ എന്നു പേർ ആയി.

For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.സങ്കീർത്തനപുസ്തകത്തിൽ: “അവന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലം ശുന്യമായിപ്പോകട്ടെ; അതിൽ ആരും പാർക്കാതിരിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നും “അവന്റെ അദ്ധ്യക്ഷസ്ഥാനം മാറ്റൊരുത്തന്നു ലഭിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നും എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,ആകയാൽ കർത്താവായ യേശു യോഹന്നാന്റെ സ്നാനം മുതൽ നമ്മെ വിട്ടു ആരോഹണം ചെയ്ത നാൾ വരെ നമ്മുടെ ഇടയിൽ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുപോന്ന

Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.കാലത്തെല്ലൊം ഞങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ നടന്ന പുരുഷന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ ഞങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ അവന്റെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിനു സാക്ഷിയായിത്തീരേണം.

And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.അങ്ങനെ അവർ യുസ്തൊസ് എന്നു മറുപേരുള്ള ബർശബാ എന്ന യോസേഫ്, മത്ഥിയാസ് എന്നീ രണ്ടുപേരെ നിറുത്തി:

And they prayed, and said, You, Lord, which know the hearts of all men, show whether of these two you have chosen,സകല ഹൃദയങ്ങളെയും അറിയുന്ന കർത്താവേ, തന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു പോകേണ്ടതിന്നു യൂദാ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോയ ഈ ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെയും അപ്പൊസ്തലത്വത്തിന്റെയും സ്ഥാനം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു

That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.ഈ ഇരുവരിൽ ഏവനെ നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കാണിച്ചുതരേണമേ എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു അവരുടെ പേർക്കു ചീട്ടിട്ടു:

And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.ചീട്ടു മത്ഥിയാസിന്നു വീഴുകയും അവനെ പതിനൊന്നു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ എണ്ണുകയും ചെയ്തു.

Acts 2

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.പെന്തെക്കൊസ്തനാൾ വന്നപ്പോൾ എല്ലാവരും ഒരു സ്ഥലത്തു ഒന്നിച്ചു കൂടിയിരുന്നു.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.പെട്ടെന്നു കൊടിയ കാറ്റടിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ആകാശത്തനിന്നു ഒരു മുഴക്കം ഉണ്ടായി, അവർ ഇരുന്നിരുന്ന വീടു മുഴുവനും നിറെച്ചു.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like of fire, and it sat upon each of them.അഗ്നിജ്വാലപോലെ പിളർന്നിരിക്കുന്ന നാവുകൾ അവർക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി അവരിൽ ഓരോരുത്തന്റെ മേൽ പതിഞ്ഞു.

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.എല്ലാവരും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു നിറഞ്ഞവരായി ആത്മാവു അവർക്കു ഉച്ചരിപ്പാൻ നല്കിയതുപോലെ അന്യഭാഷകളിൽ സംസാരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.അന്നു ആകാശത്തിൻ കീഴുള്ള സകല ജാതികളിൽ നിന്നും യെരൂശലേമിൽ വന്നു പാർക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരായ ഭക്തിയുള്ള പുരുഷന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.ഈ മുഴക്കം ഉണ്ടായപ്പോൾ പുരുഷാരം വന്നു കൂടി, ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ ഭാഷയിൽ അവർ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതു കേട്ടു അമ്പരന്നു പോയി.

And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?എല്ലാവരും ഭ്രമിച്ചു ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു: ഈ സംസാരിക്കുന്നവർ എല്ലാം ഗലീലക്കാർ അല്ലയോ?

And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?പിന്നെ നാം ഓരോരുത്തൻ ജനിച്ച നമ്മുടെ സ്വന്ത ഭാഷയിൽ അവർ സംസാരിച്ചു കേൾക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,പർത്ഥരും മേദ്യരും ഏലാമ്യരും മെസപ്പൊത്താമ്യയിലും യെഹൂദ്യയിലും കപ്പദോക്യയിലും

Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,പൊന്തൊസിലും ആസ്യയിലും പ്രുഗ്യയിലും പംഫുല്യയിലും മിസ്രയീമിലും കുറേനെക്കു ചേർന്ന ലിബ്യാപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും പാർക്കുന്നവരും റോമയിൽ നിന്നു വന്നു പാർക്കുന്നവരും യെഹൂദന്മാരും യെഹൂദമതാനുസാരികളും ക്രേത്യരും അറബിക്കാരുമായ നാം

Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.ഈ നമ്മുടെ ഭാഷകളിൽ അവർ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വൻകാര്യങ്ങളെ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നതു കേൾക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What means this?എല്ലാവരും ഭ്രമിച്ചു ചഞ്ചലിച്ചു; ഇതു എന്തായിരിക്കും എന്നു തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.ഇവർ പുതു വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു മറ്റു ചിലർ പരിഹസിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, All of you men of Judaea, and all you that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:അപ്പോൾ പത്രൊസ് പതിനൊന്നുപേരോടുകൂടെ നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു ഉറക്കെ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരും യെരൂശലേമിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരുമായുള്ളോരേ, ഇതു നിങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കട്ടെ; എന്റെ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.

For these are not drunken, as all of you suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.നിങ്ങൾ ഊഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഇവർ ലഹരി പിടിച്ചവരല്ല; പകൽ മൂന്നാംമണിനേരമേ ആയിട്ടുള്ളുവല്ലോ.

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;ഇതു യോവേൽ പ്രവാചകൻ മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതത്രേ; അതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:“അന്ത്യകാലത്തു ഞാൻ സകല ജഡത്തിന്മേലും എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ പകരും; നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും പ്രവചിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ യൌവ്വനക്കാർ ദർശനങ്ങൾ ദർശിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ വൃദ്ധന്മാർ സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾ കാണും.”

And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:എന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെമേലും ദാസിമാരുടെമേലും കൂടെ ഞാൻ ആ നാളുകളിൽ എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ പകരും; അവരും പ്രവചിക്കും.

And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:ഞാൻ മീതെ ആകാശത്തിൽ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും താഴെ ഭൂമിയിൽ അടയാളങ്ങളും കാണിക്കും; രക്തവും തീയും പുകയാവിയും തന്നേ.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:കർത്താവിന്റെ വലുതും പ്രസിദ്ധവുമായ നാൾ വരുംമുമ്പേ സൂര്യൻ ഇരുളായും ചന്ദ്രൻ രക്തമായും മാറിപ്പോകും.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.എന്നാൽ കർത്താവിന്റെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവൻ ഏവനും രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും എന്നു ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.”

All of you men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as all of you yourselves also know:യിസ്രായേൽ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, ഈ വചനം കേട്ടു കൊൾവിൻ. നിങ്ങൾ തന്നേ അറിയുംപോലെ ദൈവം അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ നടുവിൽ ചെയ്യിച്ച ശക്തികളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും അടയാളങ്ങളും കൊണ്ടു

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, all of you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:ദൈവം നിങ്ങൾക്കു കാണിച്ചു തന്ന പുരുഷനായി നസറായനായ യേശുവിനെ ദൈവം തന്റെ സ്ഥിര നിർണ്ണയത്താലും മുന്നറിവിനാലും ഏല്പിച്ചിട്ടു, നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ അധർമ്മികളുടെ കയ്യാൽ തറെപ്പിച്ചു കൊന്നു;

Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be held of it.ദൈവമോ മരണപാശങ്ങളെ അഴിച്ചിട്ടു അവനെ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു. മരണം അവനെ പിടിച്ചു വെക്കുന്നതു അസാദ്ധ്യമായിരുന്നു.

For David speaks concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:“ഞാൻ കർത്താവിനെ എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ എന്റെ വലഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്കയാൽ ഞാൻ കുലുങ്ങിപോകയില്ല.

²⁶

Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ ഹൃദയം സന്തോഷിച്ചു, എന്റെ നാവു ആനന്ദിച്ചു, എന്റെ ജഡവും പ്രത്യാശയോടെ വസിക്കും.”

²⁷

Because you will not leave my soul in hell, neither will you suffer yours Holy One to see corruption.നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ പാതാളത്തിൽ വിടുകയില്ല; നിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ ദ്രവത്വം കാണ്മാൻ സമ്മതിക്കയുമില്ല.

²⁸

You have made known to me the ways of life; you shall make me full of joy with your countenance.നീ ജീവമാർഗ്ഗങ്ങളെ എന്നോടു അറിയിച്ചു; നിന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ എന്നെ സന്തോഷ പൂർണ്ണനാക്കും” എന്നു ദാവീദ് അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us unto this day.സഹോദരന്മാരായ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, ഗോത്രപിതാവായ ദാവീദിനെക്കുറിച്ച് അവൻ മരിച്ചു അടക്കപ്പെട്ടു എന്നു എനിക്കു നിങ്ങളോടു ധൈര്യമായി പറയാം; അവന്റെ കല്ലറ ഇന്നുവരെ നമ്മുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.

Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;എന്നാൽ അവൻ പ്രവാചകൻ ആകയാൽ ദൈവം അവന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തിന്റെ ഫലത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഒരുത്തനെ അവന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരുത്തും എന്നു തന്നോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തു ഉറപ്പിച്ചു എന്നു അറഞ്ഞിട്ടു:

He seeing this before spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.അവനെ പാതാളത്തിൽ വിട്ടുകളഞ്ഞില്ല: അവന്റെ ജഡം ദ്രവത്വം കണ്ടതുമില്ല എന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ പുനരുത്ഥാനം മുമ്പുകൂട്ടി കണ്ടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു. ഈ യേശുവിനെ ദൈവം ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു:

This Jesus has God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.അതിന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has shed forth this, which all of you now see and hear.അവൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വല ഭാഗത്തേക്കു ആരോഹണം ചെയ്തു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു എന്ന വാഗ്ദത്തം പിതാവിനോടു വാങ്ങി, നിങ്ങൾ ഈ കാണുകയും കേൾക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നത് പകർന്നുതന്നു,

For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he says himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit you on my right hand,ദാവീദ് സ്വർഗ്ഗാരോഹണം ചെയ്തില്ലല്ലോ. എന്നാൽ അവൻ:

Until I make your foes your footstool.“ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ പാദപീഠം ആക്കുവോളം നീ എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്ക എന്നു കർത്താവു എന്റെ കർത്താവിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു” എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made the same Jesus, whom all of you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ക്രൂശിച്ച ഈ യേശുവിനെ തന്നേ ദൈവം കർത്താവും ക്രിസ്തുവുമാക്കിവെച്ചു എന്നു യിസ്രായേൽ ഗൃഹം ഒക്കെയും നിശ്ചയമായി അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളട്ടെ.

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അവർ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ കുത്തുകൊണ്ടു പത്രൊസിനോടും ശേഷം അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരോടും: സഹോദരന്മാരായ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, ഞങ്ങൾ എന്തു ചെയ്യേണ്ടു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and all of you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.പത്രൊസ് അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ മാനസാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളുടെ മോചനത്തിന്നായി ഓരോരുത്തൻ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സ്നാനം ഏല്പിൻ; എന്നാൽ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു എന്ന ദാനം ലഭിക്കും.

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are far off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.വാഗ്ദത്തം നിങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കൾക്കും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവു വിളിച്ചു വരുത്തുന്ന ദൂരസ്ഥന്മാരായ ഏവർക്കും ഉള്ളതല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.മറ്റു പല വാക്കുകളാലും അവൻ സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞു അവരെ പ്രബോധിപ്പിച്ചു; ഈ വക്രതയുള്ള തലമുറയിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.അവന്റെ വാക്കു കൈക്കൊണ്ടവർ സ്നാനം ഏറ്റു; അന്നു മുവായിരത്തോളം പേർ അവരോടു ചേർന്നു.

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.അവർ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരുടെ ഉപദേശം കേട്ടും കൂട്ടായ്മ ആചരിച്ചും അപ്പം നുറക്കിയും പ്രാർത്ഥന കഴിച്ചും പോന്നു.

And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.എല്ലാവർക്കും ഭയമായി; അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരാൽ ഏറിയ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും അടയാളങ്ങളും നടന്നു.

And all that believed were together, and had all things common;വിശ്വസിച്ചവർ എല്ലാവരും ഒരുമിച്ചിരുന്നു

And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.സകലവും പൊതുവക എന്നു എണ്ണുകയും ജന്മഭൂമികളും വസ്തുക്കളും വിറ്റു അവനവന്നു ആവശ്യം ഉള്ളതുപോലെ എല്ലാവർക്കും പങ്കിടുകയും,

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their food with gladness and singleness of heart,ഒരുമനപ്പെട്ടു ദിനംപ്രതി ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ കൂടിവരികയും വീട്ടിൽ അപ്പം നുറുക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു ഉല്ലാസവും ഹൃദയപരമാർത്ഥതയും പൂണ്ടു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയും

Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കയും സകല ജനത്തിന്റെയും കൃപ അനുഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്തു. കർത്താവു രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരെ ദിനംപ്രതി സഭയോടു ചേർത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

Acts 3

Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.ഒരിക്കൽ പത്രൊസും യോഹന്നാനും ഒമ്പതാം മണിനേരം പ്രാർത്ഥനാസമയത്തു ദൈവാലയത്തിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുമ്പോൾ

And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;അമ്മയുടെ ഗർഭം മുതൽ മുടന്തനായ ഒരാളെ ചിലർ ചുമന്നു കൊണ്ടു വന്നു; അവനെ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ ചെല്ലുന്നവരോടു ഭിക്ഷ യാചിപ്പാൻ സുന്ദരം എന്ന ദൈവാലയഗോപുരത്തിങ്കൽ ദിനംപ്രതി ഇരുത്തുമാറുണ്ടു.

Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.അവൻ പത്രൊസും യോഹന്നാനും ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ കടപ്പാൻ പോകുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു ഭിക്ഷ ചോദിച്ചു.

And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.പത്രൊസ് യോഹന്നാനോടുകൂടെ അവനെ ഉറ്റുനോക്കി: ഞങ്ങളെ നോക്കു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.അവൻ വല്ലതും കിട്ടും എന്നു കരുതി അവരെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു നോക്കി.

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.അപ്പോൾ പത്രൊസ്: വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും എനിക്കില്ല; എനിക്കുള്ളതു നിനക്കു തരുന്നു: നസറായനായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ നടക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.അവനെ വലങ്കൈക്കു പിടിച്ചു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; ക്ഷണത്തിൽ അവന്റെ കാലും നരിയാണിയും ഉറെച്ചു അവൻ കുതിച്ചെഴുന്നേറ്റു നടന്നു;

And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.നടന്നും തുള്ളിയും ദൈവത്തെ പുകഴ്ത്തിയും കൊണ്ടു അവരോടുകൂടെ ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ കടന്നു.

And all the people saw him walking and praising God:അവൻ നടക്കുന്നതും ദൈവത്ത പുകഴ്ത്തുന്നതും ജനം ഒക്കെയും കണ്ടു,

And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.ഇവൻ സുന്ദരം എന്ന ദൈവാലയഗോപുരത്തിങ്കൽ ഭിക്ഷ യാചിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ഇരുന്നവൻ എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞു അവന്നു സംഭവിച്ചതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു വിസ്മയവും പരിഭ്രമവും നിറഞ്ഞവരായീതീർന്നു.

And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.അവൻ പത്രൊസിനോടും യോഹന്നാനോടും ചേർന്നു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ ജനം എല്ലാം വിസ്മയംപൂണ്ടു ശലോമോന്റേതു എന്നു പേരുള്ള മണ്ഡപത്തിൽ അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഓടിക്കൂടി.

And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, All of you men of Israel, why marvel all of you at this? or why look all of you so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?അതു കണ്ടിട്ടു പത്രൊസ് ജനങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: യിസ്രായേൽ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, ഇതിങ്കൽ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുന്നതു എന്തു? ഞങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്ത ശക്തികൊണ്ടോ ഭക്തികൊണ്ടോ ഇവനെ നടക്കുമാറാക്കി എന്നപോലെ ഞങ്ങളെ ഉറ്റു നോക്കുന്നതും എന്തു?

The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus; whom all of you delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെയും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെയും യാക്കോബിന്റെയും ദൈവമായ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവം തന്റെ ദാസനായ യേശുവിനെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി; അവനെ നിങ്ങൾ ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അവനെ വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ വിധിച്ച പീലാത്തൊസിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽവെച്ചു തള്ളിപ്പറയുകയും ചെയ്തു.

But all of you denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;പരിശുദ്ധനും നീതിമാനുമായവനെ നിങ്ങൾ തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞു, കുലപാതകനായവനെ വിട്ടുതരേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു, ജീവനായകനെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

And killed the Prince of life, whom God has raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.അവനെ ദൈവം മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്നു, എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു; അതിന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.

And his name through faith in his name has made this man strong, whom all of you see and know: yea, the faith which is by him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.അവന്റെ നാമത്തിലെ വിശ്വാസത്താൽ അവന്റെ നാമം തന്നേ നിങ്ങൾ കാൺകയും അറികയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഇവൻ ബലം പ്രാപിപ്പാൻ കാരണമായി തീർന്നു; അവൻ മുഖാന്തരമുള്ള വിശ്വാസം ഇന്നു നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും കാൺകെ ഈ ആരോഗ്യം വരുവാൻ ഹേതുവായി തീർന്നു.

And now, brethren, I know that through ignorance all of you did it, as did also your rulers.സഹോദരന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രമാണികളെപ്പോലെ നിങ്ങളും അറിയായ്മകൊണ്ടു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.

But those things, which God before had showed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he has so fulfilled.ദൈവമോ തന്റെ ക്രിസ്തു കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കും എന്നു സകല പ്രവാചകന്മാരും മുഖാന്തരം മുന്നറിയിച്ചതു ഇങ്ങനെ നിവർത്തിച്ചു.

Repent all of you therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ മാഞ്ഞുകിട്ടേണ്ടതിന്നു മാനസാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞുകൊൾവിൻ; എന്നാൽ കർത്താവിന്റെ സമ്മുഖത്തുനിന്നു

And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:ആശ്വാസകാലങ്ങൾ വരികയും നിങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻനിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ട ക്രിസ്തുവായ യേശുവിനെ അവൻ അയക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.ദൈവം ലോകാരംഭം മുതൽ തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപ്രവാചകന്മാർ മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിചെയ്തതു ഒക്കെയും യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താകുന്ന കാലം വരുവോളം സ്വർഗ്ഗം അവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall all of you hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.“ദൈവമായ കർത്താവു നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരിൽനിന്നു എന്നെപ്പോലെ ഒരു പ്രവാചകനെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചുതരും; അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്ന സകലത്തിലും നിങ്ങൾ അവന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കേണം.

And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.ആ പ്രവാചകന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കാത്ത ഏവനും ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്നു ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.” എന്നു മോശെ പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.അത്രയുമല്ല ശമൂവേൽ ആദിയായി സംസാരിച്ച പ്രവാചകന്മാർ ഒക്കെയും ഈ കാലത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു.

All of you are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in your seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.“ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലവംശങ്ങളും നിന്റെ സന്തതിയിൽ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടും.” എന്നു ദൈവം അബ്രാഹാമിനോടു അരുളി നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമത്തിന്റെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും മക്കൾ നിങ്ങൾ തന്നേ.

Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.നിങ്ങൾക്കു ആദ്യമേ ദൈവം തന്റെ ദാസനായ യേശുവിനെ എഴുന്നേല്പിച്ചു ഓരോരുത്തനെ അവനവന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു തിരിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ നിങ്ങളെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
