1Now will I sing to my beloved a song of my beloved concerning his vineyard. My beloved has a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:ഞാൻ എന്റെ പ്രിയതമന്നു അവന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു എന്റെ പ്രിയന്റെ പാട്ടുപാടും; എന്റെ പ്രിയതമന്നു ഏറ്റവും ഫലവത്തായോരു കുന്നിന്മേൽ ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
2And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the best vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.അവൻ അതിന്നു വേലി കെട്ടി, അതിലെ കല്ലു പെറുക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു, അതിൽ നല്ലവക മുന്തിരിവള്ളി നട്ടു, നടുവിൽ ഒരു ഗോപുരം പണിതു, ഒരു ചക്കും ഇട്ടു, മുന്തിരിങ്ങ കായക്കും എന്നു അവൻ കാത്തിരുന്നു; കായിച്ചതോ കാട്ടുമുന്തിരിങ്ങയത്രേ.
3And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, between me and my vineyard.ആകയാൽ യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളും യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരും ആയുള്ളോരേ, എനിക്കും എന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിന്നും മദ്ധ്യേ വിധിപ്പിൻ.
4What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?ഞാൻ എന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളതല്ലാതെ ഇനി അതിൽ എന്തു ചെയ്വാനുള്ളു? മുന്തിരിങ്ങ കായക്കുമെന്നു ഞാൻ കാത്തിരുന്നാറെ അതു കാട്ടുമുന്തിരിങ്ങ കായിച്ചതു എന്തു? ആകയാൽ വരുവിൻ;
5And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:ഞാൻ എന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തോടു എന്തു ചെയ്യും എന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു അറിയിക്കാം; ഞാൻ അതിന്റെ വേലി പൊളിച്ചുകളയും; അതു തിന്നു പോകും; ഞാൻ അതിന്റെ മതിൽ ഇടിച്ചുകളയും; അതു ചവിട്ടി മെതിച്ചുപോകും.
6And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor dug; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.ഞാൻ അതിനെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും; അതു വള്ളിത്തല മുറിക്കാതെയും കിളെക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കും; പറക്കാരയും മുള്ളും അതിൽ മുളെക്കും; അതിൽ മഴ പെയ്യിക്കരുതെന്നു ഞാൻ മേഘങ്ങളോടു കല്പിക്കും.
7For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം യിസ്രായേൽ ഗൃഹവും അവന്റെ മനോഹരമായ നടുതല യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരും ആകുന്നു; അവൻ ന്യായത്തിന്നായി കാത്തിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഇതാ, അന്യായം! നീതിക്കായി നോക്കിയിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഇതാ ഭീതി!
8Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!തങ്ങൾ മാത്രം ദേശമദ്ധ്യേ പാർക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം മറ്റാർക്കും സ്ഥലം ഇല്ലാതാകുവോളവും വീടോടു വീടു ചേർക്കുകയും വയലോടു വയൽ കൂട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!
9In mine ears said the LORD of hosts, Truthfully many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant.ഞാൻ കേൾക്കെ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: വലിയതും നല്ലതുമായിരിക്കുന്ന പല വീടുകളും ആൾ പാർപ്പില്ലാതെ ശൂന്യമാകും നിശ്ചയം.
10Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah.പത്തു കാണി മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽനിന്നു ഒരു ബത്തും ഒരു ഹോമർ വിത്തിൽനിന്നു ഒരു ഏഫയും മാത്രം കിട്ടും.
11Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them!അതികാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു മദ്യം തേടി ഓടുകയും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചു മത്തരായി സന്ധ്യാസമയത്തു വൈകി ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!
12And the harp, and the viol, the timbrel, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands.അവരുടെ വിരുന്നുകളിൽ കിന്നരവും വീണയും തപ്പും കുഴലും വീഞ്ഞും ഉണ്ടു; എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെ അവർ നോക്കുന്നില്ല, അവന്റെ കൈവേലയെ വിചാരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
13Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.അങ്ങനെ എന്റെ ജനം അറിവില്ലായ്കയാൽ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോകുന്നു; അവരുടെ മാന്യന്മാർ പട്ടിണികിടക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ജനസമൂഹം ദാഹത്താൽ വരണ്ടുപോകുന്നു.
14Therefore hell has enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoices, shall descend into it.അതുകൊണ്ടു പാതാളം തൊണ്ട തുറന്നു, വിസ്താരമായി വായ് പിളർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ മഹിമയും ആരവവും ഘോഷവും അവയിൽ ഉല്ലസിക്കുന്നവരും അതിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു.
15And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:അങ്ങനെ മനുഷ്യൻ കുനിയുകയും പുരുഷൻ വണങ്ങുകയും നിഗളികളുടെ കണ്ണു താഴുകയും ചെയ്യും.
16But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.എന്നാൽ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ന്യായവിധിയിൽ ഉന്നതനായിരിക്കയും പരിശുദ്ധദൈവം നീതിയിൽ തന്നെത്താൻ പരിശുദ്ധനായി കാണിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.
17Then shall the lambs feed after their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat.അപ്പോൾ കുഞ്ഞാടുകൾ മേച്ചൽപുറത്തെന്നപോലെ മേയും; പുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവരുടെ ശൂന്യപ്രദേശങ്ങളെ സഞ്ചാരികൾ അനുഭവിക്കും.
18Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:വ്യാജപാശംകൊണ്ടു അകൃത്യത്തെയും വണ്ടിക്കയറുകൊണ്ടു എന്നപോലെ പാപത്തെയും വലിക്കയും
19That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!അവൻ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയെ വേഗത്തിൽ നിവർത്തിക്കട്ടെ; കാണാമല്ലോ; യിസ്രായേലിൻ പരിശുദ്ധന്റെ ആലോചന അടുത്തുവരട്ടെ; നമുക്കു അറിയാമല്ലോ എന്നു പറകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!
20Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!തിന്മെക്കു നന്മ എന്നും നന്മെക്കു തിന്മ എന്നും പേർ പറകയും ഇരുട്ടിനെ വെളിച്ചവും വെളിച്ചത്തെ ഇരുട്ടും ആക്കുകയും കൈപ്പിനെ മധുരവും മധുരത്തെ കൈപ്പും ആക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!
21Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!തങ്ങൾക്കുതന്നേ ജ്ഞാനികളായും തങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നേ വിവേകികളായും തോന്നുന്നവർക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!
22Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:വീഞ്ഞു കുടിപ്പാൻ വീരന്മാരും മദ്യം കലർത്തുവാൻ ശൂരന്മാരും ആയുള്ളവർക്കും
23Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!സമ്മാനംനിമിത്തം ദുഷ്ടനെ നീതീകരിക്കയും നീതിമാന്റെ നീതിയെ ഇല്ലാതാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവർക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം!
24Therefore as the fire devours the stubble, and the flame consumes the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.അതുകൊണ്ടു തീനാവു താളടിയെ തിന്നുകളകയും വൈക്കോൽ ജ്വാലയാൽ ദഹിച്ചുപോകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ അവരുടെ വേരു കെട്ടുപോകും; അവരുടെ പുഷ്പം പൊടിപോലെ പറന്നു പോകും; അവർ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു, യിസ്രായേലിൻ പരിശുദ്ധന്റെ വചനത്തെ നിന്ദിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
25Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he has stretched forth his hand against them, and has smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcasses were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.അതുനിമിത്തം യഹോവയുടെ കോപം തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിക്കും; അവൻ അവരുടെ നേരെ കൈ നീട്ടി അവരെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കും; അപ്പോൾ മലകൾ വിറെക്കയും അവരുടെ ശവങ്ങൾ വീഥികളുടെ നടുവിൽ ചവറുപോലെ ആയിത്തീരുകയും ചെയ്യും; ഇതെല്ലാംകൊണ്ടും അവന്റെ കോപം അടങ്ങാതെ അവന്റെ കൈ ഇനിയും നീട്ടിയിരിക്കും.
26And he will lift up an explicit sign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:അവൻ ദൂരത്തുള്ള ജാതികൾക്കു ഒരു കൊടി, ഉയർത്തി, ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തുനിന്നു അവരെ ചൂളകുത്തിവിളിക്കും; അവർ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു വേഗത്തിൽ വരും.
27None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനും ക്ഷീണിക്കയോ ഇടറുകയോ ചെയ്കയില്ല; ഒരുത്തനും ഉറക്കം തൂങ്ങുകയില്ല, ഉറങ്ങുകയുമില്ല; അവരുടെ അരക്കച്ച അഴികയില്ല, ചെരിപ്പുവാറു പൊട്ടുകയുമില്ല.
28Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses' hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind:അവരുടെ അമ്പു കൂർത്തും വില്ലു എല്ലാം കുലെച്ചും ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ കുതിരകളുടെ കുളമ്പു തീക്കല്ലുപോലെയും അവരുടെ രഥചക്രം ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുപോലെയും തോന്നും.
29Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it.അവരുടെ ഗർജ്ജനം സിംഹത്തിന്റേതുപോലെ ഇരിക്കും; അവർ ബാലസിംഹങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ ഗർജ്ജിക്കും; അവർ അലറി, ഇരപിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; ആരും വിടുവിക്കയും ഇല്ല.
30And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.അന്നാളിൽ അവർ കടലിന്റെ അലർച്ചപോലെ അവരുടെ നേരെ അലറും; ദേശത്തു നോക്കിയാൽ ഇതാ, അന്ധകാരവും കഷ്ടതയും തന്നേ; അതിന്റെ മേഘങ്ങളിൽ വെളിച്ചം ഇരുണ്ടുപോകും.
