Genesis 41

And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.രണ്ടു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ഫറവോൻ ഒരു സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured cattle and well fed; and they fed in a meadow.അവൻ നദീതീരത്തു നിന്നു. അപ്പോൾ രൂപഗുണവും മാംസപുഷ്ടിയുമുള്ള ഏഴു പശുനദിയിൽ നിന്നു കയറി, ഞാങ്ങണയുടെ ഇടയിൽ മേഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

And, behold, seven other cattle came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and thin; and stood by the other cattle upon the brink of the river.അവയുടെ പിന്നാലെ മെലിഞ്ഞും വിരൂപമായുമുള്ള വേറെ ഏഴു പശു നദിയിൽ നിന്നു കയറി, നദീതീരത്തു മറ്റേ പശുക്കളുടെ അരികെ നിന്നു.

And the ill favoured and thin cattle did eat up the seven well favoured and fat cattle. So Pharaoh awoke.മെലിഞ്ഞും വിരൂപമായുമുള്ള പശുക്കൾ രൂപ ഗുണവും മാംസപുഷ്ടിയുമുള്ള ഏഴു പശുക്കളെ തിന്നുകളഞ്ഞു; അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോൻ ഉണർന്നു.

And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.അവൻ പിന്നെയും ഉറങ്ങി, രണ്ടാമതും ഒരു സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു; പുഷ്ടിയുള്ളതും നല്ലതുമായ ഏഴു കതിർ ഒരു തണ്ടിൽ നിന്നു പൊങ്ങി വന്നു.

And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.അവയുടെ പിന്നാലെ നേർത്തും കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റിനാൽ കരിഞ്ഞുമിരിക്കുന്ന ഏഴു കതിർ പൊങ്ങിവന്നു.

And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.നേർത്ത ഏഴു കതിരുകൾ പുഷ്ടിയും മണിക്കരുത്തുമുള്ള ഏഴു കതിരുകളെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ ഫറവോൻ ഉണർന്നു, അതു സ്വപ്നം എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞു.

And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.പ്രാതഃകാലത്തു അവൻ വ്യാകുലപ്പെട്ടു മിസ്രയീമിലെ മന്ത്രവാദികളെയും ജ്ഞാനികളെയും എല്ലാം ആളയച്ചു വരുത്തി അവരോടു തന്റെ സ്വപ്നം പറഞ്ഞു. എന്നാൽ വ്യാഖ്യാനിപ്പാൻ ആർക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

Then spoke the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:അപ്പോൾ പാനപാത്രവാഹകന്മാരുടെ പ്രമാണി ഫറവോനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഇന്നു ഞാൻ എന്റെ കുറ്റം ഓർക്കുന്നു.

Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard's house, both me and the chief baker:ഫറവോൻ അടിയങ്ങളോടു കോപിച്ചു, എന്നെയും അപ്പക്കാരുടെ പ്രമാണിയെയും അകമ്പടിനായകന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ തടവിലാക്കിയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.അവിടെവെച്ചു ഞാനും അവനും ഒരു രാത്രിയിൽ തന്നേ സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു; വെവ്വേറെ അർത്ഥമുള്ള സ്വപ്നം ആയിരുന്നു ഓരോരുത്തൻ കണ്ടതു.

And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.അവിടെ അകമ്പടി നായകന്റെ ദാസനായ ഒരു എബ്രായ യൌവനക്കാരൻ ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾ അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചാറെ അവൻ സ്വപ്നങ്ങളെ വ്യാഖ്യാനിച്ചു; ഓരോരുത്തന്നു താന്താന്റെ സ്വപ്നത്തിന്റെ അർത്ഥം പറഞ്ഞുതന്നു.

And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.അവൻ അർത്ഥം പറഞ്ഞതു പോലെ തന്നേ സംഭവിച്ചു; എന്നെ വീണ്ടും സ്ഥാനത്തു ആക്കുകയും മറ്റവനെ തൂക്കിക്കളകയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.ഉടനെ ഫറവോൻ ആളയച്ചു യോസേഫിനെ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു. അവർ അവനെ വേഗത്തിൽ കുണ്ടറയിൽനിന്നു ഇറക്കി; അവൻ ക്ഷൌരം ചെയ്യിച്ചു, വസ്ത്രം മാറി, ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of you, that you can understand a dream to interpret it.ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിനോടു: ഞാൻ ഒരു സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു; അതിനെ വ്യാഖ്യനിപ്പാൻ ആരുമില്ല; എന്നാൽ നീ ഒരു സ്വപ്നം കേട്ടാൽ വ്യാഖ്യാനിക്കുമെന്നു നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.അതിന്നു യോസേഫ് ഫറവോനോടു: ഞാനല്ല ദൈവം തന്നേ ഫറവോന്നു ശുഭമായോരു ഉത്തരം നല്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:പിന്നെ ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: എന്റെ സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ ഞാൻ നദീതീരത്തു നിന്നു.

And, behold, there came up out of the river seven cattle, well fed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow:അപ്പോൾ മാംസപുഷ്ടിയും രൂപഗുണവുമുള്ള ഏഴു പശു നദിയിൽനിന്നു കയറി ഞാങ്ങണയുടെ ഇടയിൽ മേഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

And, behold, seven other cattle came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and thin, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:അവയുടെ പിന്നാലെ ക്ഷീണിച്ചും മെലിഞ്ഞും എത്രയും വിരൂപമായുമുള്ള വേറെ ഏഴു പശു കയറി വന്നു; അത്ര വിരൂപമായവയെ ഞാൻ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എങ്ങും കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.

And the lean and the ill favoured cattle did eat up the first seven fat cattle:എന്നാൽ മെലിഞ്ഞും വിരൂപമായുമുള്ള പശുക്കൾ പുഷ്ടിയുള്ള മുമ്പിലത്തെ ഏഴു പശുക്കളെ തിന്നുകളഞ്ഞു;

And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.ഇവ അവയുടെ വയറ്റിൽ ചെന്നിട്ടും വയറ്റിൽ ചെന്നു എന്നു അറിവാനില്ലായിരന്നു; അവ മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ വിരൂപമുള്ളവ ആയിരുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ഉണർന്നു.

And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:പിന്നെയും ഞാൻ സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ കണ്ടതു: നിറഞ്ഞതും നല്ലതുമായ ഏഴു കതിർ ഒരു തണ്ടിൽ പൊങ്ങിവന്നു.

And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:അവയുടെ പിന്നാലെ ഉണങ്ങിയും നേർത്തും കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റിനാൽ കരിഞ്ഞുമിരിക്കുന്ന ഏഴു കതിർ പൊങ്ങിവന്നു.

And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.നേർത്ത കതിരുകൾ ഏഴു നല്ല കതിരുകളെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു. ഇതു ഞാൻ മന്ത്രവാദികളോടു പറഞ്ഞു; എന്നാൽ വ്യാഖ്യാനിപ്പാൻ ആർക്കും കഴഞ്ഞില്ല.

²⁵

And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God has showed Pharaoh what he is about to do.അപ്പോൾ യോസേഫ് ഫറവോനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഫറവോന്റെ സ്വപ്നം ഒന്നുതന്നേ; താൻ ചെയ്‍വാൻ ഭാവിക്കുന്നതു ദൈവം ഫറവോന്നു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

²⁶

The seven good cattle are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.ഏഴു നല്ല പശു ഏഴു സംവത്സരം; നല്ല കതിരും ഏഴു സംവത്സരം; സ്വപ്നം ഒന്നു തന്നേ.

²⁷

And the seven thin and ill favoured cattle that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.അവയുടെ പിന്നാലെ കയറിവന്ന മെലിഞ്ഞും വിരൂപമായുമുള്ള ഏഴു പശുവും കിഴക്കൻ കാറ്റിനാൽ കരിഞ്ഞു പതിരായുള്ള ഏഴു കതിരും ഏഴു സംവത്സരം; അവ ക്ഷാമമുള്ള ഏഴു സംവത്സരം ആകുന്നു.

²⁸

This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he shows unto Pharaoh.ദൈവം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ഭാവിക്കുന്നതു ഫറവോന്നു കാണിച്ചു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു അതാകുന്നു ഞാൻ ഫറവോനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു.

Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു ഒക്കെയും ബഹു സുഭിക്ഷമായ ഏഴു സംവത്സരം വരും.

³⁰

And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;അതു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ക്ഷാമമുള്ള ഏഴു സംവത്സരം വരും; അപ്പോൾ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു ആ സുഭിക്ഷതയൊക്കെയും മറന്നിരിക്കും; ക്ഷാമത്താൽ ദേശം ഒക്കെയും ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും.

And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.പിൻവരുന്ന ക്ഷാമം അതികഠിനമായിരിക്കയാൽ ദേശത്തുണ്ടായിരുന്ന സുഭിക്ഷത അറിയാതെയായിപ്പോകും.

And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.ഫറവോന്നു സ്വപ്നം രണ്ടുവട്ടം ഉണ്ടായതോ കാര്യം ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കകൊണ്ടും ദൈവം അതിനെ വേഗത്തിൽ വരുത്തുവാനിരിക്കകൊണ്ടും ആകുന്നു.

Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.ആകയാൽ ഫറവോൻ വിവേകവും ജ്ഞാനവുമുള്ള ഒരുത്തനെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്നു മേലധികാരി ആക്കി വെക്കേണം.

³⁴

Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven abundant years.അതുകൂടാതെ ഫറവോൻ ദേശത്തിന്മേൽ വിചാരകന്മാരെ ആക്കി, സുഭിക്ഷതയുള്ള ഏഴു സംവത്സരത്തിൽ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിലെ വിളവിൽ അഞ്ചിലൊന്നു വാങ്ങേണം.

³⁵

And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.ഈ വരുന്ന നല്ല സംവത്സരങ്ങളിലെ വിളവൊക്കെയും ശേഖരിച്ചു പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ ഫറവോന്റെ അധീനത്തിൽ ധാന്യം സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെക്കേണം.

³⁶

And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.ആ ധാന്യം മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു വരുവാൻ പോകുന്ന ക്ഷാമമുള്ള ഏഴുസംവത്സരത്തേക്കു ദേശത്തിന്നു സംഗ്രഹമായിട്ടിരിക്കേണം; എന്നാൽ ദേശം ക്ഷാമം കൊണ്ടു നശിക്കയില്ല.

³⁷

And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.ഈ വാക്കു ഫറവോന്നും അവന്റെ സകലഭൃത്യന്മാർക്കും ബോധിച്ചു.

³⁸

And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?ഫറവോൻ തന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരോടു: ദൈവാത്മാവുള്ള ഈ മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെ ഒരുത്തനെ കണ്ടുകിട്ടുമോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God has showed you all this, there is none so discreet and wise as you are:പിന്നെ ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിനോടു: ദൈവം ഇതൊക്കെയും നിനക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി തന്നതു കൊണ്ടു നിന്നെപ്പോലെ വിവേകവും ജ്ഞാനവുമുള്ളവൻ ഒരുത്തനുമില്ല.

You shall be over my house, and according unto your word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than you.നീ എന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു മേലധികാരിയാകും; നിന്റെ വാക്കു എന്റെ ജനമെല്ലാം അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കും; സിംഹാസനംകൊണ്ടു മാത്രം ഞാൻ നിന്നെക്കാൾ വലിയവനായിരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.ഇതാ, മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്നൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ നിന്നെ മേലധികാരി ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു, എന്നും ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;ഫറവോൻ തന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു മുദ്രമോതിരം ഊരി, യോസേഫിന്റെ കൈക്കു ഇട്ടു, അവനെ നേർമ്മയുള്ള വസ്ത്രംധരിപ്പിച്ചു, ഒരു സ്വർണ്ണസരപ്പളിയും അവന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ ഇട്ടു.

And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.തന്റെ രണ്ടാം രഥത്തിൽ അവനെ കയറ്റി: മുട്ടുകുത്തുവിൻ എന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വിളിച്ചു പറയിച്ചു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവനെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിന്നൊക്കെയും മേലധികാരിയാക്കി.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without you shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.പിന്നെ ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിനോടു: ഞാൻ ഫറവോൻ ആകുന്നു; നിന്റെ കല്പന കൂടാതെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എങ്ങും യാതൊരുത്തനും കയ്യോ കാലോ അനക്കുകയില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.ഫറവോൻ യോസേഫിന്നു സാപ്നത്ത് പനേഹ് എന്നു പേരിട്ടു; ഓനിലെ പുരോഹിതനായ പോത്തിഫേറയുടെ മകൾ ആസ്നത്തിനെ അവന്നു ഭാര്യയായി കൊടുത്തു. പിന്നെ യോസേഫ് മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു സഞ്ചരിച്ചു.

And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.യോസേഫ് മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ അവന്നു മുപ്പതു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു യോസേഫ് ഫറവോന്റെ സന്നിധാനത്തിൽ നിന്നു പറപ്പെട്ടു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു ഒക്കെയും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു.

And in the seven abundant years the earth brought forth by handfuls.എന്നാൽ സുഭിക്ഷമായ ഏഴു സംവത്സരവും ദേശം സമൃദ്ധിയായി വിളഞ്ഞു.

⁴⁸

And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു സുഭിക്ഷത ഉണ്ടായ ഏഴു സംവത്സരത്തിലെ ധാന്യം ഒക്കെയും അവൻ ശേഖരിച്ചു പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു; ഓരോ പട്ടണത്തിൽ ചുറ്റുവട്ടത്തുള്ള നിലത്തിലെ ധാന്യം സൂക്ഷിച്ചു.

And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number.അങ്ങനെ യോസേഫ് കടൽകരയിലെ മണൽപോലെ എത്രയും വളരെ ധാന്യം ശേഖരിച്ചു വെച്ചു; അളപ്പാൻ കഴിവില്ലായ്കയാൽ അളവു നിർത്തിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him.ക്ഷാമകാലം വരുംമുമ്പെ യോസേഫിന്നു രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാർ ജനിച്ചു; അവരെ ഓനിലെ പുരോഹിതനായ പോത്തിഫേറയുടെ മകൾ ആസ്നത്ത് പ്രസവിച്ചു.

And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, has made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.എന്റെ സകല കഷ്ടതയും എന്റെ പിതൃഭവനം ഒക്കെയും ദൈവം എന്നെ മറക്കുമാറാക്കി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യോസേഫ് തന്റെ ആദ്യജാതന്നു മനശ്ശെ എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.

And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.സങ്കടദേശത്തു ദൈവം എന്നെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു, അവൻ രണ്ടാമത്തവന്നു എഫ്രയീം എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.

And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended.മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുണ്ടായ സുഭിക്ഷതയുള്ള ഏഴു സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ

And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.യോസേഫ് പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ക്ഷാമമുള്ള ഏഴു സംവത്സരം തുടങ്ങി; സകലദേശങ്ങളിലും ക്ഷാമമുണ്ടായി; എന്നാൽ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും ആഹാരം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he says to you, do.പിന്നെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും ക്ഷാമം ഉണ്ടായപ്പോൾ ജനങ്ങൾ ആഹാരത്തിന്നായി ഫറവോനോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; ഫറവോൻ മിസ്രയീമ്യരോടു ഒക്കെയും: നിങ്ങൾ യോസേഫിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുവിൻ; അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുംപോലെ ചെയ്‍വിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph in order to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.ഭൂമിയിൽ എങ്ങും ക്ഷാമം കഠിനമായയ്തീർന്നതുകൊണ്ടു സകലദേശക്കാരും ധാന്യം കൊള്ളുവാൻ മിസ്രയീമിൽ യോസേഫിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു.

Genesis 42

Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do all of you look one upon another?മിസ്രയീമിൽ ധാന്യം ഉണ്ടെന്നു യാക്കോബ് അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ നോക്കിനില്ക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?

But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said, Lest possibly mischief befall him.എന്നാൽ യോസേഫിന്റെ അനുജനായ ബെന്യാമീന്നു പക്ഷേ വല്ല ആപത്തും ഭവിക്കും എന്നുവെച്ചു യാക്കോബ് അവനെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടുകൂടെ അയച്ചില്ല.

And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth.യോസേഫ് ദേശത്തിന്നു അധിപതിയായിരുന്നു; അവൻ തന്നേ ആയിരുന്നു ദേശത്തിലെ സകല ജനങ്ങൾക്കും ധാന്യം വിറ്റതു; യോസേഫിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും വന്നു അവനെ സാഷ്ടാംഗം നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spoke roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come all of you? And they said unto him, Nay, my lord, but to buy food are your servants come.അവർ അവനോടു: അല്ല, യജമാനനേ, അടിയങ്ങൾ ആഹാരം കൊള്ളുവാൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു;

We are all one man's sons; we are true men, your servants are no spies.ഞങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും ഒരാളുടെ മക്കൾ; ഞങ്ങൾ പരമാർത്ഥികളാകുന്നു; അടിയങ്ങൾ ഒറ്റുകാരല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Joseph said unto them, That is it that I spoke unto you, saying, All of you are spies:യോസേഫ് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ ഒറ്റുകാർ തന്നേ.

If all of you be true men, let one of your brethren be bound in the house of your prison: go all of you, carry corn for the famine of your houses:നിങ്ങൾ പരമാർത്ഥികൾ എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു സഹോദരൻ കരാഗൃഹത്തിൽ കിടക്കട്ടെ; നിങ്ങൾ പുറപ്പെട്ടു, നിങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിലെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിന്നു ധാന്യം കൊണ്ടുപോകുവിൻ.

And as one of them opened his sack to give his ass animal food in the inn, he espied his money; for, behold, it was in his sack's mouth.വഴിയമ്പലത്തിൽവെച്ചു അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ കഴുതെക്കു തീൻ കൊടുപ്പാൻ ചാക്കു അഴിച്ചപ്പോൾ തന്റെ ദ്രവ്യം ചാക്കിന്റെ വായ്ക്കൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു,

And he said unto his brethren, My money is restored; and, lo, it is even in my sack: and their heart failed them, and they were afraid, saying one to another, What is this that God has done unto us?തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടു: എന്റെ ദ്രവ്യം എനിക്കു തിരികെ കിട്ടി അതു ഇതാ, എന്റെ ചാക്കിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ ഉള്ളം തളർന്നു, അവർ വിറെച്ചു: ദൈവം നമ്മോടു ഈ ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നു തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

And we said unto him, We are true men; we are no spies:ഞങ്ങൾ അവനോടു: ഞങ്ങൾ പരാമാർത്ഥികളാകുന്നു, ഞങ്ങൾ ഒറ്റുകാരല്ല.

Genesis 43

And it came to pass, when they had eaten up the corn which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said unto them, Go again, buy us a little food.അവർ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നുകൊണ്ടുവന്ന ധാന്യം തിന്നു തീർന്നപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ അപ്പൻ അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ഇനിയും പോയി കുറെ ആഹാരം കൊള്ളുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Judah spoke unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, All of you shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.അതിന്നു യെഹൂദാ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇല്ലാതിരുന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ മുഖം കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു അദ്ദേഹം തീർച്ചയായി ഞങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

And Judah said unto Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and you, and also our little ones.പിന്നെ യെഹൂദാ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ യിസ്രായേലിനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞങ്ങളും നീയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ കുഞ്ഞുകുട്ടികളും മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ബാലനെ എന്നോടുകൂടെ അയക്കേണം; എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ പോകാം.

And their father Israel said unto them, If it must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:അപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ അപ്പനായ യിസ്രായേൽ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ ഇതു ചെയ്‍വിൻ: നിങ്ങളുടെ പാത്രങ്ങളിൽ കുറെ സുഗന്ധപ്പശ, കുറെ തേൻ, സാംപ്രാണി, സന്നിനായകം, ബോടനണ്ടി, ബദാമണ്ടി എന്നിങ്ങളെ ദേശത്തിലെ വിശേഷവസ്തുക്കളിൽ ചിലതൊക്കെയും കൊണ്ടുപോയി അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്നു കാഴ്ചവെപ്പിൻ.

And take double money in your hand; and the money that was brought again in the mouth of your sacks, carry it again in your hand; possibly it was an oversight:ഇരട്ടിദ്രവ്യവും കയ്യിൽ എടുത്തുകൊൾവിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ചാക്കിന്റെ വായ്ക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവന്ന ദ്രവ്യവും കയ്യിൽ തിരികെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുവിൻ; പക്ഷേ അതു കൈമറിച്ചലായിരിക്കും.

Take also your brother, and arise, go again unto the man:നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരനെയും കൂട്ടി പുറപ്പെട്ടു അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വീണ്ടും ചെല്ലുവിൻ.

And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. And when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the ruler of his house, Bring these men home, and slay, and make ready; for these men shall dine with me at noon.അവരോടുകൂടെ ബെന്യാമീനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവൻ തന്റെ ഗൃഹ വിചാരകനോടു: നീ ഈ പുരുഷന്മാരെ വീട്ടിൽ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോക; അവർ ഉച്ചെക്കു എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കേണ്ടതാകയാൽ മൃഗത്തെ അറുത്തു ഒരുക്കിക്കൊൾക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And the man did as Joseph bade; and the man brought the men into Joseph's house.യോസേഫ് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവൻ ചെയ്തു; അവരെ യോസേഫിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു പോയി.

And the men were afraid, because they were brought into Joseph's house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses.തങ്ങളെ യോസേഫിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോകയാൽ അവർ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു: ആദ്യത്തെ പ്രാവശ്യം നമ്മുടെ ചാക്കിൽ മടങ്ങിവന്ന ദ്രവ്യം നിമിത്തം നമ്മെ പിടിച്ചു അടിമകളാക്കി നമ്മുടെ കഴുതകളെയും എടുത്തുകൊള്ളേണ്ടതിന്നാകുന്നു നമ്മെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And they came near to the steward of Joseph's house, and they communed with him at the door of the house,അവർ യോസേഫിന്റെ ഗൃഹവിചാരകന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു, വീട്ടുവാതിൽക്കൽവെച്ചു അവനോടു സംസാരിച്ചു:

And said, O sir, we came indeed down at the first time to buy food:യജമാനനേ, ആഹാരം കൊള്ളുവാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ മുമ്പെ വന്നിരുന്നു.

And it came to pass, when we came to the inn, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, every man's money was in the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight: and we have brought it again in our hand.ഞങ്ങൾ വഴിയമ്പലത്തിൽ ചെന്നു ചാക്കു അഴിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഓരോരുത്തന്റെ ദ്രവ്യം മുഴുവനും അവനവന്റെ ചാക്കിന്റെ വായ്ക്കൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതു ഞങ്ങൾ വീണ്ടും കൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

And other money have we brought down in our hands to buy food: we cannot tell who put our money in our sacks.ആഹാരം കൊള്ളുവാൻ വേറെ ദ്രവ്യവും ഞങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുവന്നിട്ടുണ്ടു; ദ്രവ്യം ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചാക്കിൽ വെച്ചതു ആരെന്നു ഞങ്ങൾക്കു അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And he said, Peace be to you, fear not: your God, and the God of your father, has given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out unto them.അതിന്നു അവൻ: നിങ്ങൾക്കു സാമാധാനം; നിങ്ങൾ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവം, നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ ദൈവം തന്നേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ചാക്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു നിക്ഷേപം തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദ്രവ്യം എനിക്കു കിട്ടി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ശിമെയോനെയും അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

And the man brought the men into Joseph's house, and gave them water, and they washed their feet; and he gave their asses animal food.പിന്നെ അവൻ അവരെ യോസേഫിന്റെ വീട്ടിന്നകത്തു കെണ്ടുപോയി; അവർക്കു വെള്ളം കൊടുത്തു, അവർ കാലുകളെ കഴുകി; അവരുടെ കഴുതകൾക്കു അവൻ തീൻ കൊടുത്തു.

And they made ready the present against Joseph came at noon: for they heard that they should eat bread there.ഉച്ചെക്കു യോസേഫ് വരുമ്പോഴേക്കു അവർ കാഴ്ച ഒരുക്കിവെച്ചു; തങ്ങൾക്കു ഭക്ഷണം അവിടെ എന്നു അവർ കേട്ടിരുന്നു.

And when Joseph came home, they brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and bowed themselves to him to the earth.യോസേഫ് വീട്ടിൽവന്നപ്പോൾ അവർ കൈവശമുള്ള കാഴ്ച അകത്തുകൊണ്ടു ചെന്നു അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വെച്ചു അവനെ സാഷ്ടാംഗം നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

And he asked them of their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom all of you spoke? Is he yet alive?അവൻ അവരോടു കുശലപ്രശ്നം ചെയ്തു: നിങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞ വൃദ്ധൻ, നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പൻ സൌഖ്യമായിരിക്കുന്നുവോ? അവൻ ജീവനോടിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

And he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother's son, and said, Is this your younger brother, of whom all of you spoke unto me? And they set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, which did eat with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians.അവർ അവന്നു പ്രത്യേകവും അവർക്കു പ്രത്യേകവും, അവനോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്ന മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കു പ്രത്യേകവും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു വെച്ചു; മിസ്രയീമ്യർ എബ്രായരോടു കൂടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയില്ല; അതു മിസ്രയീമ്യർക്കു വെറുപ്പു ആകുന്നു.

And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright, and the youngest according to his youth: and the men marvelled one at another.മൂത്തവൻ മുതൽ ഇളയവൻ വരെ പ്രായത്തിന്നൊത്തവണ്ണം അവരെ അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇരുത്തി; അവർ അന്യോന്യം നോക്കി ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു.

And he took and sent portions unto them from before him: but Benjamin's portion was five times so much as any of their's. Genesis 44

And he commanded the steward of his house, saying, Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put every man's money in his sack's mouth.അനന്തരം അവൻ തന്റെ ഗൃഹവിചാരകനോടു: നീ ഇവരുടെ ചാക്കിൽ പിടിപ്പതു ധാന്യം നിറച്ചു, ഓരോരുത്തന്റെ ദ്രവ്യം അവനവന്റെ ചാക്കിന്റെ വായ്ക്കൽ വെക്കുക.

And put my cup, the silver cup, in the sack's mouth of the youngest, and his corn money. And he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.ഇളയവന്റെ ചാക്കിന്റെ വായ്ക്കൽ വെള്ളികൊണ്ടുള്ള എന്റെ പാനപാത്രവും അവന്റെ ധാന്യവിലയും വെക്കുക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു; യോസേഫ് കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവൻ ചെയ്തു.

As soon as the morning was light, the men were sent away, they and their asses.നേരം വെളുത്തപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ കഴുതകളുമായി അവരെ യാത്രഅയച്ചു.

And when they were gone out of the city, and not yet far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when you do overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have all of you rewarded evil for good?അവർ പട്ടണത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ദൂരത്താകുംമുമ്പെ, യോസേഫ് തന്റെ ഗൃഹവിചാരകനോടു: എഴുന്നേറ്റു ആ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ പിന്നാലെ ഓടിച്ചെല്ലുക; ഒപ്പം എത്തുമ്പോൾ അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ നന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്തതു എന്തു?

Is not this it in which my lord drinks, and whereby indeed he divines? all of you have done evil in so doing.അതിലല്ലയോ എന്റെ യജമാനൻ കുടിക്കുന്നതു? നിങ്ങൾ ഈ ചെയ്തതു ഒട്ടും നന്നല്ല എന്നു പറക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And he overtook them, and he spoke unto them these same words.അവൻ അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ ഈ വാക്കുകൾ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

And they said unto him, Wherefore says my lord these words? God forbid that your servants should do according to this thing:അവർ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: യജമാനൻ ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നതു എന്തു? ഈ വക കാര്യം അടിയങ്ങൾ ഒരുനാളും ചെയ്കയില്ല.

Behold, the money, which we found in our sacks' mouths, we brought again unto you out of the land of Canaan: how then should we steal out of your lord's house silver or gold?ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചാക്കിന്റെ വായ്ക്കൽ കണ്ട ദ്രവ്യം ഞങ്ങൾ കനാൻ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വീണ്ടും കൊണ്ടുവന്നുവല്ലോ; പിന്നെ ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും മോഷ്ടിക്കുമോ?

With whomsoever of your servants it be found, both let him die, and we also will be my lord's bondmen.അടിയങ്ങളിൽ ആരുടെ പക്കൽ എങ്കിലും അതു കണ്ടാൽ അവൻ മരിക്കട്ടെ; ഞങ്ങളും യജമാനന്നു അടിമകളായിക്കൊള്ളാം.

And he said, Now also let it be according unto your words: he with whom it is found shall be my servant; and all of you shall be blameless.അതിന്നു അവൻ: നിങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ആകട്ടെ; അതു ആരുടെ പക്കൽ കാണുന്നുവോ അവൻ എനിക്കു അടിമയാകും; നിങ്ങളോ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവരായിരിക്കും.

Then they speedily took down every man his sack to the ground, and opened every man his sack.അവർ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു ചാക്കു നിലത്തു ഇറക്കി: ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ ചാക്കു അഴിച്ചു.

And Judah and his brethren came to Joseph's house; for he was yet there: and they fell before him on the ground.യെഹൂദയും അവന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും യോസേഫിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നു; അവൻ അതുവരെയും അവിടെത്തന്നേ ആയിരുന്നു; അവർ അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു.

And Joseph said unto them, What deed is this that all of you have done? know all of you not that such a man as I can certainly divine?യോസേഫ് അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ഈ ചെയ്ത പ്രവൃത്തി എന്തു? എന്നെപ്പോലെയുള്ള ഒരുത്തന്നു ലക്ഷണവിദ്യ അറിയാമെന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants: behold, we are my lord's servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.അതിന്നു യെഹൂദാ: യജമാനനോടു ഞങ്ങൾ എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു? എന്തു ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടു? എങ്ങനെ ഞങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ നീതീകരിക്കേണ്ടു? ദൈവം അടിയങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യം കണ്ടെത്തി; ഇതാ ഞങ്ങൾ യജമാനന്നു അടിമകൾ; ഞങ്ങളും ആരുടെ കയ്യിൽ പാത്രം കണ്ടുവോ അവനും തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And he said, God forbid that I should do so: but the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.അതിന്നു അവൻ അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഒരുനാളും ചെയ്കയില്ല; ആരുടെ പക്കൽ പാത്രം കണ്ടുവോ അവൻ തന്നേ എനിക്കു അടിമയായിരിക്കും; നിങ്ങളോ സമാധാനത്തോടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോയ്ക്കൊൾവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then Judah came near unto him, and said, Oh my lord, let your servant, I pray you, speak a word in my lord's ears, and let not yours anger burn against your servant: for you are even as Pharaoh.അപ്പോൾ യെഹൂദാ അടുത്തുചെന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു: യജമാനനേ, അടിയൻ യജമാനനോടു ഒന്നു ബോധിപ്പിച്ചുകൊള്ളട്ടേ; അടിയന്റെ നേരെ കോപം ജ്വലിക്കരുതേ;

My lord asked his servants, saying, Have all of you a father, or a brother?യജമാനൻ ഫറവോനെപ്പോലെയല്ലോ; നിങ്ങൾക്കു അപ്പനോ സഹോദരനോ ഉണ്ടോ എന്നു യജമാനൻ അടിയങ്ങളോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

And we said unto my lord, We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loves him.അതിന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ യജമാനനോടു: ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വൃദ്ധനായോരു അപ്പനും അവന്നു വാർദ്ധക്യത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച ഒരു മകനും ഉണ്ടു; അവന്റെ ജ്യേഷ്ഠൻ മരിച്ചുപോയി; അവന്റെ അമ്മ പ്രസവിച്ചിട്ടു അവൻ ഒരുത്തനെ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളു; അവൻ അപ്പന്റെ ഇഷ്ടനാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And you said unto your servants, Bring him down unto me, that I may set mine eyes upon him.അപ്പോൾ യജമാനൻ അടയിങ്ങളോടു: എനിക്കു കാണേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

And we said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his father: for if he should leave his father, his father would die.ഞങ്ങൾ യജമാനനോടു: ബാലന്നു അപ്പനെ പിരിഞ്ഞുകൂടാ; പിരിഞ്ഞാൽ അപ്പൻ മരിച്ചുപോകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And you said unto your servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you, all of you shall see my face no more.അതിന്നു യജമാനൻ അടിയങ്ങളോടു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇളയസഹോദരൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ വരാതിരുന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ മുഖം ഇനി കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And it came to pass when we came up unto your servant my father, we told him the words of my lord.അവിടത്തെ അടിയാനായ അപ്പന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ചെന്നു യജമാനന്റെ വാക്കുകളെ അറിയിച്ചു.

And our father said, Go again, and buy us a little food.അനന്തരം ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പൻ നിങ്ങൾ ഇനിയും പോയി കുറെ ധാന്യം നമുക്കു കൊള്ളുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And we said, We cannot go down: if our youngest brother be with us, then will we go down: for we may not see the man's face, except our youngest brother be with us.അതിന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ: ഞങ്ങൾ പൊയ്ക്കൂടാ; അനുജൻ കൂടെ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ പോകാം; അനുജൻ ഇല്ലാതെ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മുഖം കാണ്മാൻ പാടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And your servant my father said unto us, All of you know that my wife bare me two sons:അപ്പോൾ അവിടത്തെ അടിയാനായ അപ്പൻ ഞങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: എന്റെ ഭാര്യ എനിക്കു രണ്ടുപുത്രന്മാരെ പ്രസവിച്ചു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾക്കു അറിയാമല്ലോ.

And the one went out from me, and I said, Surely he is torn in pieces; and I saw him not since:അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു പോയി; അവനെ പറിച്ചു കീറിപ്പോയി നിശ്ചയം എന്നു ഞാൻ ഉറെച്ചു; ഇതുവരെ ഞാൻ അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുമില്ല.

And if all of you take this also from me, and mischief befall him, all of you shall bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.നിങ്ങൾ ഇവനെയും കൊണ്ടുപോയിട്ടു അവന്നു വല്ല ആപത്തും വന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ നരയെ ദുഃഖത്തോടെ പാതാളത്തിൽ ഇറങ്ങുമാറാക്കും.

Now therefore when I come to your servant my father, and the lad be not with us; seeing that his life is bound up in the lad's life;അതുകൊണ്ടു ഇപ്പോൾ ബാലൻ കൂടെയില്ലാതെ ഞാൻ അവിടത്തെ അടിയാനായ അപ്പന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെല്ലുമ്പോൾ, അവന്റെ പ്രാണൻ ഇവന്റെ പ്രാണനോടു പറ്റിയിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു,

It shall come to pass, when he sees that the lad is not with us, that he will die: and your servants shall bring down the gray hairs of your servant our father with sorrow to the grave.ബാലൻ ഇല്ലെന്നു കണ്ടാൻ അവൻ മരിച്ചുപോകും; അങ്ങനെ അടിയങ്ങൾ അവിടെത്തെ അടിയാനായ അപ്പന്റെ നരയെ ദുഃഖത്തോടെ പാതാളത്തിൽ ഇറങ്ങുമാറാക്കും.

For your servant became guarantor for the lad unto my father, saying, If I bring him not unto you, then I shall bear the blame to my father for ever.അടിയൻ അപ്പനോടു: അവനെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരാതിരുന്നാൽ ഞാൻ എന്നും അപ്പന്നു കുറ്റക്കാരനായിക്കൊളാമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു, അപ്പനോടു ബാലന്നുവേണ്ടി ഉത്തരവാദിയായിരിക്കുന്നു.

Now therefore, I pray you, let your servant abide instead of the lad a bondman to my lord; and let the lad go up with his brethren.ആകയാൽ ബാലന്നു പകരം അടിയൻ യജമാനന്നു അടിമയായിരിപ്പാനും ബാലൻ സഹോദരന്മാരോടുകൂടെ പൊയ്ക്കൊൾയവാനും അനുവദിക്കേണമേ.

For how shall I go up to my father, and the lad be not with me? lest possibly I see the evil that shall come on my father.ബാലൻ കൂടെ ഇല്ലാതെ ഞാൻ എങ്ങനെ അപ്പന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പോകും? അപ്പന്നു ഭവിക്കുന്ന ദോഷം ഞാൻ കാണേണ്ടിവരുമല്ലോ.
