Psalms 73

Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.ദൈവം യിസ്രായേലിന്നു, നിർമ്മലഹൃദയമുള്ളവർക്കു തന്നേ, നല്ലവൻ ആകുന്നു നിശ്ചയം.

But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.എന്നാൽ എന്റെ കാലുകൾ ഏകദേശം ഇടറി; എന്റെ കാലടികൾ ഏറക്കുറെ വഴുതിപ്പോയി.

For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സൌഖ്യം കണ്ടിട്ടു എനിക്കു അഹങ്കാരികളോടു അസൂയ തോന്നി.

For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.അവർക്കു വേദന ഒട്ടുമില്ലല്ലോ; അവരുടെ ദേഹം തടിച്ചുരുണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.അവർ മർത്യരെപ്പോലെ കഷ്ടത്തിൽ ആകുന്നില്ല; മറ്റു മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെ ബാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

Therefore pride compasses them about as a chain; violence covers them as a garment.ആകയാൽ ഡംഭം അവർക്കു മാലയായിരിക്കുന്നു; ബലാൽക്കാരം വസ്ത്രംപോലെ അവരെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകൾ പുഷ്ടികൊണ്ടു ഉന്തിനില്ക്കുന്നു. അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നിരൂപണങ്ങൾ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്നു.

They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.അവർ പരിഹസിച്ചു ദുഷ്ടതയോടെ ഭീഷണി പറയുന്നു; ഉന്നതഭാവത്തോടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth.അവർ വായ് ആകാശത്തോളം ഉയർത്തുന്നു; അവരുടെ നാവു ഭൂമിയിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.

Therefore his people return here: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.അതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ തന്റെ ജനത്തെ ഇതിലേക്കു തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ധാരാളം വെള്ളം വലിച്ചു കുടിക്കുന്നു.

And they say, How does God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?ദൈവം എങ്ങനെ അറിയുന്നു? അത്യുന്നതന്നു അറിവുണ്ടോ? എന്നു അവർ പറയുന്നു.

Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.ഇങ്ങനെ ആകുന്നു ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ; അവർ നിത്യം സ്വസ്ഥത അനുഭവിച്ചു സമ്പത്തു വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence.എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചതും എന്റെ കൈകളെ കുറ്റമില്ലായ്മയിൽ കഴുകിയതും വ്യർത്ഥമത്രേ.

For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ ബാധിതനായിരുന്നു; ഉഷസ്സുതോറും ദണ്ഡിക്കപ്പെട്ടും ഇരുന്നു.

If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of your children.ഞാൻ ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിപ്പാൻ വിചാരിച്ചെങ്കിൽ ഇതാ, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മക്കളുടെ തലമുറയോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.

When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;ഞാൻ ഇതു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ നിരൂപിച്ചപ്പോൾ എനിക്കു പ്രയാസമായി തോന്നി;

Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.ഒടുവിൽ ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ ചെന്നു അവരുടെ അന്തം എന്താകും എന്നു ചിന്തിച്ചു.

Surely you did set them in slippery places: you casted them down into destruction.നിശ്ചയമായി നീ അവരെ വഴുവഴുപ്പിൽ നിർത്തുന്നു; നീ അവരെ നാശത്തിൽ തള്ളിയിടുന്നു.

How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.എത്ര ക്ഷണത്തിൽ അവർ ശൂന്യമായ്പോയി! അവർ മെരുൾചകളാൽ അശേഷം മുടിഞ്ഞുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

As a dream when one awakes; so, O Lord, when you awake, you shall despise their image.ഉണരുമ്പോൾ ഒരു സ്വപ്നത്തെപ്പോലെ കർത്താവേ, നീ ഉണരുമ്പോൾ അവരുടെ രൂപത്തെ തുച്ഛീകരിക്കും.

Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.ഇങ്ങനെ എന്റെ ഹൃദയം വ്യസനിക്കയും എന്റെ അന്തരംഗത്തിൽ കുത്തുകൊള്ളുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ

So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before you.ഞാൻ പൊട്ടനും ഒന്നും അറിയാത്തവനും ആയിരുന്നു; നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ മൃഗംപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

Nevertheless I am continually with you: you have held me by my right hand.എന്നിട്ടും ഞാൻ എപ്പോഴും നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്നെ വലങ്കൈക്കു പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

You shall guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.നിന്റെ ആലോചനയാൽ നീ എന്നെ നടത്തും; പിന്നെത്തേതിൽ മഹത്വത്തിലേക്കു എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളും.

²⁵

Whom have I in heaven but you? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside you.സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ എനിക്കു ആരുള്ളു? ഭൂമിയിലും നിന്നെയല്ലാതെ ഞാൻ ഒന്നും ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല.

My flesh and my heart fails: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.എന്റെ മാംസവും ഹൃദയവും ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; ദൈവം എന്നേക്കും എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ പാറയും എന്റെ ഓഹരിയും ആകുന്നു.

For, lo, they that are far from you shall perish: you have destroyed all them that go a whoring from you.ഇതാ, നിന്നോടു അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നവർ നശിച്ചുപോകും; നിന്നെ വിട്ടു പരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്ന എല്ലാവരെയും നീ സംഹരിക്കും.

But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all your works.എന്നാൽ ദൈവത്തോടു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു എനിക്കു നല്ലതു; നിന്റെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളെയും വർണ്ണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിനെ എന്റെ സങ്കേതമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Psalms 74

O God, why have you cast us off for ever? why does yours anger smoke against the sheep of your pasture?ദൈവമേ, നീ ഞങ്ങളെ സദാകാലത്തേക്കും തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞതു എന്തു? നിന്റെ മേച്ചല്പുറത്തെ ആടുകളുടെ നേരെ നിന്റെ കോപം പുകയുന്നതു എന്തു?

Remember your congregation, which you have purchased of old; the rod of yours inheritance, which you have redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein you have dwelt.നീ പണ്ടുപണ്ടേ സമ്പാദിച്ച നിന്റെ സഭയെയും നീ വീണ്ടെടുത്ത നിന്റെ അവകാശഗോത്രത്തെയും നീ വസിച്ചുപോന്ന സീയോൻ പർവ്വതത്തെയും ഓർക്കേണമേ.

Lift up your feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy has done wickedly in the sanctuary.നിത്യശൂന്യങ്ങളിലേക്കു നിന്റെ കാലടി വെക്കേണമേ; ശത്രു വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിൽ സകലവും നശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Yours enemies roar in the midst of your congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.നിന്റെ വൈരികൾ നിന്റെ സമാഗമന സ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ അലറുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ കൊടികളെ അവർ അടയാളങ്ങളായി നാട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees.അവർ മരക്കൂട്ടത്തിന്മേൽ കോടാലി ഓങ്ങുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നി.

But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers.ഇതാ, അവർ മഴുകൊണ്ടും ചുറ്റികകൊണ്ടും അതിന്റെ ചിത്രപ്പണികളെ ആകപ്പാടെ തകർത്തുകളയുന്നു.

They have cast fire into your sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of your name to the ground.അവർ നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്നു തീവെച്ചു; തിരുനാമത്തിന്റെ നിവാസത്തെ അവർ ഇടിച്ചുനിരത്തി അശുദ്ധമാക്കി.

They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.നാം അവരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളക എന്നു അവർ ഉള്ളംകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു. ദേശത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാപള്ളികളെയും ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.

We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knows how long.ഞങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടയാളങ്ങളെ കാണുന്നില്ല; യാതൊരു പ്രവാചകനും ശേഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; ഇതു എത്രത്തോളം എന്നറിയുന്നവൻ ആരും ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഇല്ല.

O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme your name for ever?ദൈവമേ, വൈരി എത്രത്തോളം നിന്ദിക്കും? ശത്രു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ എന്നേക്കും ദുഷിക്കുമോ?

Why withdraw you your hand, even your right hand? pluck it out of your bosom.നിന്റെ കൈ, നിന്റെ വലങ്കൈ നീ വലിച്ചുകളയുന്നതു എന്തു? നിന്റെ മടിയിൽനിന്നു അതു എടുത്തു അവരെ മുടിക്കേണമേ.

For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.ദൈവം പുരാതനമേ എന്റെ രാജാവാകുന്നു; ഭൂമിയുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ അവൻ രക്ഷ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.

You did divide the sea by your strength: you brake the heads of the dragons in the waters.നിന്റെ ശക്തികൊണ്ടു നീ സമുദ്രത്തെ വിഭാഗിച്ചു; വെള്ളത്തിലുള്ള തിമിംഗലങ്ങളുടെ തലകളെ ഉടെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

You brake the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gave him to be food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.ലിവ്യാഥാന്റെ തലകളെ നീ തകർത്തു; മരുവാസികളായ ജനത്തിന്നു അതിനെ ആഹാരമായി കൊടുത്തു.

You did cleave the fountain and the flood: you dried up mighty rivers.നീ ഉറവും ഒഴുക്കും തുറന്നുവിട്ടു, മഹാനദികളെ നീ വറ്റിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

The day is yours, the night also is yours: you have prepared the light and the sun.പകൽ നിനക്കുള്ളതു; രാവും നിനക്കുള്ളതു; വെളിച്ചത്തെയും സൂര്യനെയും നീ ചമെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

¹⁷

You have set all the borders of the earth: you have made summer and winter.ഭൂസീമകളെ ഒക്കെയും നീ സ്ഥാപിച്ചു; നീ ഉഷ്ണകാലവും ശീതകാലവും നിയമിച്ചു.

¹⁸

Remember this, that the enemy has reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed your name.യഹോവേ, ശത്രു നിന്ദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും മൂഢജാതി തിരുനാമത്തെ ദുഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും ഓർക്കേണമേ.

O deliver not the soul of your turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of your poor for ever.നിന്റെ കുറുപ്രാവിനെ ദുഷ്ടമൃഗത്തിന്നു ഏല്പിക്കരുതേ; നിന്റെ എളിയവരുടെ ജീവനെ എന്നേക്കും മറക്കരുതേ.

Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.നിന്റെ നിയമത്തെ കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; ഭൂമിയിലെ അന്ധകാരസ്ഥലങ്ങൾ സാഹസനിവാസങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise your name.പീഡിതൻ ലജ്ജിച്ചു പിന്തിരിയരുതേ; എളിയവനും ദരിദ്രനും നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.

Arise, O God, plead yours own cause: remember how the foolish man reproaches you daily.ദൈവമേ, എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം നടത്തേണമേ; മൂഢൻ ഇടവിടാതെ നിന്നെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നതു ഓക്കേണമേ.

Forget not the voice of yours enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against you increases continually.നിന്റെ വൈരികളുടെ ആരവം മറക്കരുതേ; നിന്റെ എതിരാളികളുടെ കലഹം എപ്പോഴും പൊങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

Psalms 75

Unto you, O God, do we give thanks, unto you do we give thanks: for that your name is near your wondrous works declare.ദൈവമേ, ഞങ്ങൾ നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾ നിനക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു; നിന്റെ നാമം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ അതിശയപ്രവൃത്തികളെ ഘോഷിക്കുന്നു.

When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.സമയം വരുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നേരോടെ വിധിക്കും.

I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:ഡംഭം കാട്ടരുതെന്നു ഡംഭികളോടും കൊമ്പുയർത്തരുതെന്നു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരോടും ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു.

Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.നിങ്ങളുടെ കൊമ്പു മേലോട്ടു ഉയർത്തരുതു; ശാഠ്യത്തോടെ സംസാരിക്കയുമരുതു.

For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.കിഴക്കുനിന്നല്ല, പടിഞ്ഞാറുനിന്നല്ല, തെക്കുനിന്നുമല്ല ഉയർച്ചവരുന്നതു.

But God is the judge: he puts down one, and sets up another.ദൈവം ന്യായാധിപതിയാകുന്നു; അവൻ ഒരുത്തനെ താഴ്ത്തുകയും മറ്റൊരുത്തനെ ഉയർത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he pours out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.യഹോവയുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഒരു പാനപാത്രം ഉണ്ടു; വീഞ്ഞു നുരെക്കുന്നു; അതു മദ്യംകൊണ്ടു നിറെഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ അതിൽനിന്നു പകരുന്നു; ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലദുഷ്ടന്മാരും അതിന്റെ മട്ടു വലിച്ചുകുടിക്കും.

But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.ഞാനോ എന്നേക്കും പ്രസ്താവിക്കും; യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തുതിപാടും.

All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കൊമ്പുകളൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ മുറിച്ചു കളയും; നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ കൊമ്പുകളോ ഉയർന്നിരിക്കും.
