Ephesians 6

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.മക്കളേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെ കർത്താവിൽ അനുസരിപ്പിൻ; അതു ന്യായമല്ലോ.

Honour your father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;“നിനക്കു നന്മ ഉണ്ടാകുവാനും നീ ഭൂമിയിൽ ദീർഘായുസ്സോടിരിപ്പാനും

That it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.നിന്റെ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും ബഹുമാനിക്ക” എന്നതു വാഗ്ദത്തത്തോടുകൂടിയ ആദ്യകല്പന ആകുന്നു.

And, all of you fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.പിതാക്കന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കളെ കോപിപ്പിക്കാതെ കർത്താവിന്റെ ബാലശിക്ഷയിലും പാത്ഥ്യോപദേശത്തിലും പോറ്റി വളർത്തുവിൻ.

Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;ദാസന്മാരേ, ജഡപ്രകാരം യജമാനന്മാരായവരെ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ ഏകാഗ്രതയിൽ ഭയത്തോടും വിറയലോടും കൂടെ അനുസരിപ്പിൻ.

Not with eye-service, as men-pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;മനുഷ്യരെ പ്രസാധിപ്പിക്കുന്നവരെപ്പോലെ ദൃഷ്ടിസേവയാൽ അല്ല, ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ദൈവേഷ്ടം മനസ്സോടെ ചെയ്തും

With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:മനുഷ്യരെയല്ല കർത്താവിനെ തന്നേ പ്രീതിയോടെ സേവിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു അനുസരിപ്പിൻ.

Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man does, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.ദാസനോ സ്വതന്ത്രനോ ഓരോരുത്തൻ ചെയ്യുന്ന നന്മെക്കു കർത്താവിൽ നിന്നു പ്രതിഫലം പ്രാപിക്കും എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

And, all of you masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.യജമാനന്മാരേ, അവരുടെയും നിങ്ങളുടെയും യജമാനൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടെന്നും അവന്റെ പക്കൽ മുഖപക്ഷം ഇല്ലെന്നും അറിഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ അവരോടു പെരുമാറുകയും ഭീഷണിവാക്കു ഒഴിക്കയും ചെയ്‍വിൻ.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.ഒടുവിൽ കർത്താവിലും അവന്റെ അമിത ബലത്തിലും ശക്തിപ്പെടുവിൻ.

Put on the whole armour of God, that all of you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.പിശാചിന്റെ തന്ത്രങ്ങളോടു എതിർത്തുനില്പാൻ കഴിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സർവ്വായുധവർഗ്ഗം ധരിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.നമുക്കു പോരാട്ടം ഉള്ളതു ജഡരക്തങ്ങളോടല്ല, വാഴ്ചകളോടും അധികാരങ്ങളോടും ഈ അന്ധകാരത്തിന്റെ ലോകാധിപതികളോടും സ്വർല്ലോകങ്ങളിലെ ദുഷ്ടാത്മസേനയോടും അത്രേ.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that all of you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾ ദുർദ്ദിവസത്തിൽ എതിർപ്പാനും സകലവും സമാപിച്ചിട്ടു ഉറെച്ചു നില്പാനും കഴിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സർവ്വായുധവർഗ്ഗം എടുത്തുകൊൾവിൻ.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;നിങ്ങളുടെ അരെക്കു സത്യം കെട്ടിയും നീതി എന്ന കവചം ധരിച്ചും

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;സമാധാനസുവിശേഷത്തിന്നായുള്ള ഒരുക്കം

¹⁶

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith all of you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.കാലിന്നു ചെരിപ്പാക്കിയും എല്ലാറ്റിന്നും മീതെ ദുഷ്ടന്റെ തീയമ്പുകളെ ഒക്കെയും കെടുക്കുവാന്തക്കതായ വിശ്വാസം എന്ന പരിച എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടും നില്പിൻ.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:രക്ഷ എന്ന ശിരസ്ത്രവും ദൈവവചനം എന്ന ആത്മാവിന്റെ വാളും കൈക്കൊൾവിൻ.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;സകലപ്രാർത്ഥനയാലും യാചനയാലും ഏതു നേരത്തും ആത്മാവിൽ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചും അതിന്നായി ജാഗരിച്ചും കൊണ്ടു സകലവിശുദ്ധന്മാർക്കും എനിക്കും വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥനയിൽ പൂർണ്ണസ്ഥിരത കാണിപ്പിൻ.

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,ഞാൻ ചങ്ങല ധരിച്ചു സ്ഥാനാപതിയായി സേവിക്കുന്ന സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ മർമ്മം പ്രാഗത്ഭ്യത്തോടെ അറിയിപ്പാൻ എന്റെ വായി തുറക്കുമ്പോൾ എനിക്കു വചനം നല്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നും

For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.ഞാൻ സംസാരിക്കേണ്ടുംവണ്ണം അതിൽ പ്രാഗത്ഭ്യത്തോടെ സംസാരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പിൻ.

But that all of you also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:ഞാൻ എങ്ങനെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ അവസ്ഥ നിങ്ങളും അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു പ്രിയ സഹോദരനും കർത്താവിൽ വിശ്വസ്ത ശുശ്രൂഷകനുമായ തിഹിക്കോസ് നിങ്ങളോടു സകലവും അറിയിക്കും.

Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that all of you might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.നിങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ വസ്തുത അറിവാനും അവൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിപ്പാനുമായി ഞാൻ അവനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവായ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അക്ഷയമായി സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരോടും കൂടെ കൃപ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.

Philippians 1

Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ പൌലോസും തിമൊഥെയോസും ഫിലിപ്പിയിൽ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലുള്ള സകല വിശുദ്ധന്മാർക്കും അദ്ധ്യക്ഷന്മാർക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷന്മാർക്കും കൂടെ എഴുതുന്നതു:

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കൽ നിന്നും കർത്താവായ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കൽ നിന്നും നിങ്ങൾക്കു കൃപയും സമാധാനവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എല്ലാവർക്കും വേണ്ടി കഴിക്കുന്ന സകലപ്രാർത്ഥനയിലും എപ്പോഴും സന്തോഷത്തോടെ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചും

Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,നിങ്ങളിൽ നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിയെ ആരംഭിച്ചവൻ യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളോളം അതിനെ തികെക്കും എന്നു ഉറപ്പായി വിശ്വസിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;ഒന്നാംനാൾ മുതൽ ഇതുവരെയും സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള കൂട്ടായ്മ നിമിത്തം

Being confident of this very thing, that he which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഓർക്കുമ്പോൾ ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, all of you all are partakers of my grace.കൃപയിൽ എനിക്കു കൂട്ടാളികളായ നിങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളിലും സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിവാദത്തിലും സ്ഥിരീകരണത്തിലും ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ വഹിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളെ എല്ലാവരെയും കുറിച്ചു വിചാരിക്കുന്നതു എനിക്കു ന്യായമല്ലോ.

For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിന്റെ ആർദ്രതയോടെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ എല്ലാവരെയും കാണ്മാൻ എത്ര വാഞ്ഛിക്കുന്നു എന്നതിന്നു ദൈവം സാക്ഷി.

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്നേഹം മേല്ക്കുമേൽ പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിലും സകല വിവേകത്തിലും വർദ്ധിച്ചു വന്നിട്ടു

That all of you may approve things that are excellent; that all of you may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.നിങ്ങൾ ഭേദാഭേദങ്ങളെ വിവേചിപ്പാറാകേണം എന്നും ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളിലേക്കു നിർമ്മലന്മാരും ഇടർച്ചയില്ലാത്തവരും

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്നും പുകഴ്ചെക്കുമായിട്ടു യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിനാൽ നീതി ഫലം നിറഞ്ഞവരുമായി തീരേണം എന്നും ഞാൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.

But I would all of you should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;സഹോദരന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു ഭവിച്ചതു സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധിക്കു കാരണമായിത്തീർന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിവാൻ ഞാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു.

So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്തുനിമിത്തമാകുന്നു എന്നു അകമ്പടിപട്ടാളത്തിൽ ഒക്കെയും ശേഷം എല്ലാവർക്കും തെളിവായിവരികയും

And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.സഹോദരന്മാർ മിക്കപേരും എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളാൽ കർത്താവിൽ ധൈര്യം പൂണ്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനം ഭയംകൂടാതെ പ്രസ്താവിപ്പാൻ അധികം തുനിയുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:ചിലർ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അസൂയയും പിണക്കവും നിമിത്തം പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നു;

The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:ചിലരോ നല്ല മനസ്സോടെ തന്നേ. അവർ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിവാദത്തിന്നായിട്ടു ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ കിടക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അതു സ്നേഹത്താൽ ചെയ്യുന്നു.

But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.മറ്റവരോ എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങളിൽ എനിക്കു ക്ളേശം വരുത്തുവാൻ ഭാവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിർമ്മലതയോടെയല്ല ശാഠ്യത്താൽ അത്രേ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നതു.

What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.പിന്നെ എന്തു? നാട്യമായിട്ടോ പരമാർത്ഥമായിട്ടോ ഏതുവിധമായാലും ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ അല്ലോ പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നതു. ഇതിൽ ഞാൻ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു; ഇനിയും സന്തോഷിക്കും.

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയാലും യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ആത്മാവിന്റെ സഹായത്താലും അതു എനിക്കു രക്ഷാകാരണമായിത്തീരും എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.

According to my earn expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഒന്നിലും ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകാതെ പൂർണ്ണധൈര്യം പൂണ്ടു ക്രിസ്തു എന്റെ ശരീരത്തിങ്കൽ ജീവനാൽ ആകട്ടെ മരണത്താൽ ആകട്ടെ എപ്പോഴും എന്നപോലെ ഇപ്പോഴും മഹിമപ്പെടുകേയുള്ളു എന്നു പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കയും പ്രത്യശിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

In order to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.എനിക്കു ജീവിക്കുന്നതു ക്രിസ്തുവും മരിക്കുന്നതു ലാഭവും ആകുന്നു.

But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I know not.എന്നാൽ ജഡത്തിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ എന്റെ വേലെക്കു ഫലം വരുമെങ്കിൽ ഏതുതിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കേണ്ടു എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല.

For I am in a strait between two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:ഇവ രണ്ടിനാലും ഞാൻ ഞെരുങ്ങുന്നു; വിട്ടു പിരിഞ്ഞു ക്രിസ്തുവിനോടുകൂടെ ഇരിപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു കാംക്ഷയുണ്ടു; അതു അത്യുത്തമമല്ലോ.

Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more necessary for you.എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ജഡത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നിങ്ങൾ നിമിത്തം ഏറെ ആവശ്യം.

And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;ഇങ്ങനെ ഉറെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധിക്കും സന്തോഷത്തിന്നുമായി തന്നേ ഞാൻ ജീവനോടിരിക്കും എന്നും നിങ്ങളോടു എല്ലാവരോടും കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും എന്നും അറിയുന്നു.

²⁶

That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങി വരുന്നതിനാൽ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള പ്രശംസ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ വർദ്ധിപ്പാൻ ഇടയാകും.

²⁷

Only let your conversation be as it becomes the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that all of you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ വന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടോ ദൂരത്തിരുന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ അവസ്ഥ കേട്ടിട്ടോ നിങ്ങൾ ഏകാത്മാവിൽ നിലനിന്നു എതിരാളികളാൽ ഒന്നിലും കുലുങ്ങിപ്പോകാതെ ഏകമനസ്സോടെ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്റെ വിശ്വാസത്തിന്നായി പോരാട്ടം കഴിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ സുവിശേഷത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യമാംവണ്ണം മാത്രം നടപ്പിൻ.

And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.ഇതു അവരുടെ നാശത്തിന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷെക്കും ഒരു അടയാളമാകുന്നു;

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;അതു ദൈവം തന്നേ വെച്ചതാകുന്നു. ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ വിശ്വസിപ്പാൻ മാത്രമല്ല അവന്നു വേണ്ടി കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിപ്പാനും കൂടെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു വരം നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Having the same conflict which all of you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.നിങ്ങൾ എങ്കൽ കണ്ടതും ഇപ്പോൾ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു കേൾക്കുന്നതുമായ അതേ പോരാട്ടം നിങ്ങൾക്കും ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.

Philippians 2

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,ക്രിസ്തുവിൽ വല്ല പ്രബോധനവും ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ, സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ വല്ല ആശ്വാസവും ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ, ആത്മാവിന്റെ വല്ല കൂട്ടായ്മയും ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ, വല്ല ആർദ്രതയും മനസ്സലിവും ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ,

Fulfill all of you my joy, that all of you be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.നിങ്ങൾ ഏകമനസ്സുള്ളവരായി ഏകസ്നേഹം പൂണ്ടു ഐകമത്യപ്പെട്ടു ഏകഭാവമുള്ളവരായി ഇങ്ങനെ എന്റെ സന്തോഷം പൂർണ്ണമാക്കുവിൻ.

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.ശാഠ്യത്താലോ ദുരഭിമാനത്താലോ ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാതെ താഴ്മയോടെ ഓരോരുത്തൻ മറ്റുള്ളവനെ തന്നെക്കാൾ ശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ എന്നു എണ്ണിക്കൊൾവിൻ.

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.ഓരോരുത്തൻ സ്വന്തഗുണമല്ല മറ്റുള്ളവന്റെ ഗുണവും കൂടെ നോക്കേണം.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലുള്ള ഭാവം തന്നേ നിങ്ങളിലും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:അവൻ ദൈവരൂപത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കെ ദൈവത്തോടുള്ള സമത്വം മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചു കൊള്ളേണം എന്നു

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:വിചാരിക്കാതെ ദാസരൂപം എടുത്തു

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.മനുഷ്യസാദൃശ്യത്തിലായി തന്നെത്താൻ ഒഴിച്ചു വേഷത്തിൽ മനുഷ്യനായി വിളങ്ങി തന്നെത്താൻ താഴ്ത്തി മരണത്തോളം ക്രൂശിലെ മരണത്തോളം തന്നേ, അനുസരണമുള്ളവനായിത്തീർന്നു.

Wherefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:അതുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവവും അവനെ ഏറ്റവും ഉയർത്തി സകലനാമത്തിന്നും മേലായ നാമം നല്കി;

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;അങ്ങനെ യേശുവിന്റെ നാമത്തിങ്കൽ സ്വർല്ലോകരുടെയും ഭൂലോകരുടെയും അധോലോകരുടെയും മുഴങ്കാൽ ഒക്കെയും മടങ്ങുകയും

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.എല്ലാ നാവും “യേശുക്രിസ്തു കർത്താവു”എന്നു പിതാവായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്നായി ഏറ്റുപറകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടിവരും.

Wherefore, my beloved, as all of you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.അതുകൊണ്ടു, പ്രിയമുള്ളവരേ, നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലായ്പോഴും അനുസരിച്ചതുപോലെ ഞാൻ അരികത്തിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ മാത്രമല്ല ഇന്നു ദൂരത്തിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഏറ്റവും അധികമായി ഭയത്തോടും വിറയലോടും കൂടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷെക്കായി പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിൻ.

For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.ഇച്ഛിക്ക എന്നതും പ്രവർത്തിക്ക എന്നതും നിങ്ങളിൽ ദൈവമല്ലോ തിരുവുള്ളം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നതു.

Do all things without murmurings and disputings:വക്രതയും കോട്ടവുമുള്ള തലമുറയുടെ നടുവിൽ നിങ്ങൾ അനിന്ദ്യരും പരമാർത്ഥികളും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നിഷ്കളങ്കമക്കളും ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു എല്ലാം പിറുപിറുപ്പും വാദവും കൂടാതെ ചെയ്‍വിൻ.

That all of you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom all of you shine as lights in the world;അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ജീവന്റെ വചനം പ്രമാണിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ലോകത്തിൽ ജ്യോതിസ്സുകളെപ്പോലെ പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നു.

Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഓടിയതും അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചതും വെറുതെയായില്ല എന്നു ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ നാളിൽ എനിക്കു പ്രശംസ ഉണ്ടാകും.

Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസം എന്ന യാഗം അർപ്പിക്കുന്ന ശുശ്രൂഷയിൽ എന്റെ രക്തം ഒഴിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നാലും ഞാൻ സന്തോഷിക്കും; നിങ്ങളോടു എല്ലാവരോടുംകൂടെ സന്തോഷിക്കും.

For the same cause also do all of you joy, and rejoice with me.അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ നിങ്ങളും സന്തോഷിപ്പിൻ; എന്നോടുകൂടെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിൻ;

But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ വസ്തുത അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു എനിക്കു മനം തണുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തിമൊഥെയോസിനെ വേഗത്തിൽ അങ്ങോട്ടു അയക്കാം എന്നു കർത്താവായ യേശുവിൽ ഞാൻ ആശിക്കുന്നു.

For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.നിങ്ങളെ സംബന്ധിച്ചു പരമാർത്ഥമായി കരുതുവാൻ തുല്യചിത്തനായി എനിക്കു മറ്റാരുമില്ല.

For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.യേശുക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ കാര്യമല്ല സ്വന്ത കാര്യമത്രേ എല്ലാവരും നോക്കുന്നു.

But all of you know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he has served with me in the gospel.അവനോ മകൻ അപ്പന്നു ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ എന്നോടുകൂടെ സുവിശേഷഘോഷണത്തിൽ സേവചെയ്തു എന്നുള്ള അവന്റെ സിദ്ധത നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.ആകയാൽ എന്റെ കാര്യം എങ്ങനെ ആകും എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞ ഉടനെ ഞാൻ അവനെ അയപ്പാൻ ആശിക്കുന്നു.

But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.ഞാനും വേഗം വരും എന്നു കർത്താവിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellow soldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.എന്നാൽ എന്റെ സഹോദരനും കൂട്ടുവേലക്കാരനും സഹഭടനും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൂതനും എന്റെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിന്നു ശുശ്രൂഷിച്ചവനുമായ എപ്പഫ്രൊദിത്തൊസിനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയക്കുന്നതു ആവശ്യം എന്നു എനിക്കു തോന്നി.

For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that all of you had heard that he had been sick.അവൻ നിങ്ങളെ എല്ലാവരെയും കാണ്മാൻ വാഞ്ഛിച്ചും താൻ ദീനമായി കിടന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടതുകൊണ്ടു വ്യസനിച്ചുമിരുന്നു.

For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.അവൻ ദീനം പിടിച്ചു മരിപ്പാറായിരുന്നു സത്യം; എങ്കിലും ദൈവം അവനോടു കരുണചെയ്തു; അവനോടു മാത്രമല്ല, എനിക്കു ദുഃഖത്തിന്മേൽ ദുഃഖം വരാതിരിപ്പാൻ എന്നോടും കരുണ ചെയ്തു.

I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when all of you see him again, all of you may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ വീണ്ടും കണ്ടു സന്തോഷിപ്പാനും എനിക്കു ദുഃഖം കുറവാനും ഞാൻ അവനെ അധികം ജാഗ്രതയോടെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:അവനെ കർത്താവിൽ പൂർണ്ണസന്തോഷത്തോടെ കൈക്കൊൾവിൻ; ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരെ ബഹുമാനിപ്പിൻ.

Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.എനിക്കു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെ കുറവു തീർപ്പാനല്ലോ അവൻ തന്റെ പ്രാണനെപ്പോലും കരുതാതെ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ വേലനിമിത്തം മരണത്തോളം ആയ്പോയതു.
