Genesis 5

This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;ആദാമിന്റെ വംശപാരമ്പര്യമാവിതു: ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചപ്പോൾ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സാദൃശ്യത്തിൽ അവനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി; ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി അവരെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു;

Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.സൃഷ്ടിച്ച നാളിൽ അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയും അവർക്കു ആദാമെന്നു പേരിടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and brings forth a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:ആദാമിനു നൂറ്റിമുപ്പതു വയസ്സായാപ്പോൾ അവൻ തന്റെ സാദൃശ്യത്തിൽ തന്റെ സ്വരൂപപ്രകാരം ഒരു മകനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; അവന്നു ശേത്ത് എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.

And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.ആദാമിന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ആകെ തൊള്ളായിരത്തി മുപ്പതു സംവത്സരമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവൻ മരിച്ചു.

And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and brings forth Enos:ശേത്തിന്നു നൂറ്റഞ്ചു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ എനോശിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And Seth lived after he brings forth Enos eight hundred and seven years, and brings forth sons and daughters:എനോശിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചശേഷം ശേത്ത് എണ്ണൂറ്റേഴു സംവത്സരം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.ശേത്തിന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ആകെ തൊള്ളായിരത്തി പന്ത്രണ്ടു സംവത്സരമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവൻ മരിച്ചു.

And Enos lived ninety years, and brings forth Cainan:എനോശിന്നു തൊണ്ണൂറു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ കേനാനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And Enos lived after he brings forth Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and brings forth sons and daughters:കേനാനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം എനോശ് എണ്ണൂറ്റിപതിനഞ്ചു സംവത്സരം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And Cainan lived seventy years and brings forth Mahalaleel:കേനാന്നു എഴുപതു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ മഹലലേലിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And Cainan lived after he brings forth Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and brings forth sons and daughters:മഹലലേലിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം കേനാൻ എണ്ണൂറ്റിനാല്പതു സംവത്സരം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.കേനാന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ആകെ തൊള്ളായിരത്തി പത്തു സംവത്സരമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവൻ മരിച്ചു.

And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and brings forth Jared:മഹലലേലിന്നു അറുപത്തഞ്ചു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ യാരെദിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And Mahalaleel lived after he brings forth Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and brings forth sons and daughters:യാരെദിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം മഹലലേൽ എണ്ണൂറ്റിമുപ്പതു സംവത്സരം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he brings forth Enoch:യാരെദിന്നു നൂറ്ററുപത്തിരണ്ടു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ ഹാനോക്കിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And Jared lived after he brings forth Enoch eight hundred years, and brings forth sons and daughters:ഹാനോക്കിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം യാരെദ് എണ്ണൂറു സംവത്സരം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and brings forth Methuselah:ഹാനോക്കിന്നു അറുപത്തഞ്ചു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ മെഥൂശലഹിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And Enoch walked with God after he brings forth Methuselah three hundred years, and brings forth sons and daughters:മെഥൂശലഹിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം ഹാനോക്ക് മൂന്നൂറു സംവത്സരം ദൈവത്തോടുകൂടെ നടക്കയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:ഹനോക്കിന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ആകെ മുന്നൂറ്ററുപത്തഞ്ചു സംവത്സരമായിരുന്നു.

And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.ഹാനോക്ക് ദൈവത്തോടുകൂടെ നടന്നു, ദൈവം അവനെ എടുത്തുകൊണ്ടതിനാൽ കാണാതെയായി.

And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and brings forth Lamech.മെഥൂശലഹിന്നു നൂറ്റെണ്പത്തേഴു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ ലാമേക്കിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And Methuselah lived after he brings forth Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and brings forth sons and daughters:ലാമേക്കിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചശേഷം മെഥൂശലഹ് എഴുനൂറ്റെണ്പത്തിരണ്ടു സംവത്സരം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.മെഥൂശലഹിന്റെ ആയൂഷ്കാലം ആകെ തൊള്ളായിരത്തറുപത്തൊമ്പതു സംവത്സരമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവൻ മരിച്ചു.

And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and brings forth a son:ലാമേക്കിന്നു നൂറ്റെണ്പത്തിരണ്ടു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവൻ ഒരു മകനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD has cursed.യഹോവ ശപിച്ച ഭൂമിയിൽ നമ്മുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും നമ്മുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രയത്നത്തിലും ഇവൻ നമ്മെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവന്നു നോഹ എന്നു പേർ ഇട്ടു.

And Lamech lived after he brings forth Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and brings forth sons and daughters:നോഹയെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചശേഷം ലാമേക്ക് അഞ്ഞൂറ്റി തൊണ്ണൂറ്റഞ്ചു സംവത്സരം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.ലാമേക്കിന്റെ ആയൂഷ്കാലം ആകെ എഴുനൂറ്റെഴുപത്തേഴു സംവത്സരമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവൻ മരിച്ചു.

And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah brings forth Shem, Ham, and Japheth.നോഹെക്കു അഞ്ഞൂറു വയസ്സായശേഷം നോഹ ശേമിനെയും ഹാമിനെയും യാഫെത്തിനെയും ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

Genesis 6

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,മനുഷ്യൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ പെരുകിത്തുടങ്ങി അവർക്കു പുത്രിമാർ ജനിച്ചപ്പോൾ

That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ മനുഷ്യരുടെ പുത്രിമാരെ സൌന്ദര്യമുള്ളവരെന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടു തങ്ങൾക്കു ബോധിച്ച ഏവരെയും ഭാര്യമാരായി എടുത്തു.

And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ: മനുഷ്യനിൽ എന്റെ ആത്മാവു സദാകാലവും വാദിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കയില്ല; അവൻ ജഡം തന്നേയല്ലോ; എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ കാലം നൂറ്റിരുപതു സംവത്സരമാകും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.അക്കാലത്തു ഭൂമിയിൽ മല്ലന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ശേഷവും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ മനുഷ്യരുടെ പുത്രിമാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നിട്ടു അവർ മക്കളെ പ്രസവിച്ചു; ഇവരാകുന്നു പുരാതനകാലത്തെ വീരന്മാർ, കീർത്തിപ്പെട്ട പുരുഷന്മാർ തന്നേ.

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.ഭൂമിയിൽ മനുഷ്യന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത വലിയതെന്നും അവന്റെ ഹൃദയവിചാരങ്ങളുടെ നിരൂപണമൊക്കെയും എല്ലായ്പോഴും ദോഷമുള്ളതത്രേ എന്നും യഹോവ കണ്ടു.

And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.താൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ മനുഷ്യനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കുകകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ അനുതപിച്ചു; അതു അവന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്നു ദുഃഖമായി:

And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repents me that I have made them.ഞാൻ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള മനുഷ്യനെ ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും; മനുഷ്യനെയും മൃഗത്തെയും ഇഴജാതിയെയും ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികളെയും തന്നേ; അവയെ ഉണ്ടാക്കുകകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അനുതപിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.എന്നാൽ നോഹെക്കു യഹോവയുടെ കൃപ ലഭിച്ചു.

These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.നോഹയുടെ വംശപാരമ്പര്യം എന്തെന്നാൽ: നോഹ നീതിമാനും തന്റെ തലമുറയിൽ നിഷ്കളങ്കനുമായിരുന്നു; നോഹ ദൈവത്തോടുകൂടെ നടന്നു.

And Noah brings forth three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.ശേം, ഹാം, യാഫെത്ത് എന്ന മൂന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെ നോഹ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു.

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.എന്നാൽ ഭൂമി ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ വഷളായി; ഭൂമി അതിക്രമംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.ദൈവം ഭൂമിയെ നോക്കി, അതു വഷളായി എന്നു കണ്ടു; സകലജഡവും ഭൂമിയിൽ തന്റെ വഴി വഷളാക്കിയിരുന്നു.

And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh has come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.ദൈവം നോഹയോടു കല്പിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാൽ: സകലജഡത്തിന്റെയും അവസാനം എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭൂമി അവരാൽ അതിക്രമംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവരെ ഭൂമിയോടുകൂടെ നശിപ്പിക്കും.

Make you an ark of gopher wood; rooms shall you make in the ark, and shall pitch it within and without with pitch.നീ ഗോഫർമരംകൊണ്ടു ഒരു പെട്ടകംഉണ്ടാക്കുക; പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു അറകൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കി, അകത്തും പുറത്തും കീൽ തേക്കേണം.

And this is the fashion which you shall make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.അതു ഉണ്ടാക്കേണ്ടതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നാൽ: പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ നീളം മുന്നൂറു മുഴം; വീതി അമ്പതു മുഴം; ഉയരം മുപ്പതു മുഴം.

A window shall you make to the ark, and in a cubit shall you finish it above; and the door of the ark shall you set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shall you make it.പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു കിളിവാതിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം; മേൽനിന്നു ഒരു മുഴം താഴെ അതിനെ വെക്കേണം; പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽ അതിന്റെ വശത്തുവെക്കേണം: താഴത്തെയും രണ്ടാമത്തെയും മൂന്നാമത്തെയും തട്ടായി അതിനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കേണം.

And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.ആകാശത്തിൻ കീഴിൽനിന്നു ജീവശ്വാസമുള്ള സർവ്വജഡത്തെയും നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ ഒരു ജലപ്രളയം വരുത്തും; ഭൂമിയിലുള്ളതൊക്കെയും നശിച്ചുപോകും.

But with you will I establish my covenant; and you shall come into the ark, you, and your sons, and your wife, and your sons' wives with you.നിന്നോടോ ഞാൻ ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്യും; നീയും നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും ഭാര്യയും പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും പെട്ടകത്തിൽ കടക്കേണം.

And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shall you bring into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female.സകല ജീവികളിൽനിന്നും, സർവ്വജഡത്തിൽനിന്നും തന്നേ, ഈരണ്ടീരണ്ടിനെ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ജീവരക്ഷെക്കായിട്ടു പെട്ടകത്തിൽ കയറ്റേണം; അവ ആണും പെണ്ണുമായിരിക്കേണം.

Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto you, to keep them alive.അതതു തരം പക്ഷികളിൽനിന്നും അതതു തരം മൃഗങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും ഭൂമിയിലെ അതതു തരം ഇഴജാതികളിൽനിന്നൊക്കെയും ഈരണ്ടീരണ്ടു ജീവ രക്ഷെക്കായിട്ടു നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരേണം.

And take you unto you of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to you; and it shall be for food for you, and for them.നീയോ സകലഭക്ഷണസാധനങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും വേണ്ടുന്നതു എടുത്തു സംഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം; അതു നിനക്കും അവെക്കും ആഹാരമായിരിക്കേണം.

Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.ദൈവം തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതൊക്കെയും നോഹ ചെയ്തു; അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ അവൻ ചെയ്തു.

Genesis 7

And the LORD said unto Noah, Come you and all your house into the ark; for you have I seen righteous before me in this generation.അനന്തരം യഹോവ നോഹയോടു കല്പിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാൽ: നീയും സർവ്വകുടുംബവുമായി പെട്ടകത്തിൽ കടക്ക; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഈ തലമുറയിൽ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നീതിമാനായി കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

Of every clean beast you shall take to you by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള സകലമൃഗങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി ഏഴേഴും, ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത മൃഗങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി ഈരണ്ടും,

Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകളിൽനിന്നു പൂവനും പിടയുമായി ഏഴേഴും, ഭൂമിയിലൊക്കെയും സന്തതി ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ചേർത്തുകൊള്ളേണം.

For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.ഇനി ഏഴുദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഞാൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ നാല്പതു രാവും നാല്പതു പകലും മഴ പെയ്യിക്കും; ഞാൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കീട്ടുള്ള സകല ജീവജാലങ്ങളെയും ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു നശിപ്പിക്കും.

And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.യഹോവ തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും നോഹ ചെയ്തു.

And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.ഭൂമിയിൽ ജലപ്രളയം ഉണ്ടായപ്പോൾ നോഹെക്കു അറുനൂറു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.നോഹയും പുത്രന്മാരും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയും പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും ജലപ്രളയം നിമിത്തം പെട്ടകത്തിൽ കടന്നു.

Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creeps upon the earth,ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള മൃഗങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത മൃഗങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും പറവകളിൽനിന്നും ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള ഇഴജാതിയിൽനിന്നൊക്കെയും,

There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.ദൈവം നോഹയോടു കല്പിച്ചപ്രകാരം ഈരണ്ടീരണ്ടു ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി നോഹയുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു പെട്ടകത്തിൽ കടന്നു.

And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.ഏഴു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ഭൂമിയിൽ ജലപ്രളയം തുടങ്ങി.

In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.നോഹയുടെ ആയുസ്സിന്റെ അറുനൂറാം സംവത്സരത്തിൽ രണ്ടാം മാസം പതിനേഴാം തിയ്യതി, അന്നുതന്നേ ആഴിയുടെ ഉറവുകൾ ഒക്കെയും പിളർന്നു; ആകാശത്തിന്റെ കിളിവാതിലുകളും തുറന്നു.

And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.നാല്പതു രാവും നാല്പതു പകലും ഭൂമിയിൽ മഴ പെയ്തു.

In the very same day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;അന്നുതന്നേ നോഹയും നോഹയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ശേമും ഹാമും യാഫേത്തും നോഹയുടെ ഭാര്യയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ മൂന്നു ഭാര്യമാരും പെട്ടകത്തിൽ കടന്നു.

They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.അവരും അതതു തരം കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളും അതതു തരം കന്നുകാലികളും നിലത്തിഴയുന്ന അതതുതരം ഇഴജാതിയും അതതു തരം പറവകളും അതതു തരം പക്ഷികളും തന്നേ.

And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.ജീവശ്വാസമുള്ള സർവ്വജഡത്തിൽനിന്നും ഈരണ്ടീരണ്ടു നോഹയുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു പെട്ടകത്തിൽ കടന്നു.

And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.ദൈവം അവനോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അകത്തുകടന്നവ സർവ്വജഡത്തിൽനിന്നും ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി കടന്നു; യഹോവ വാതിൽ അടെച്ചു.

And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.ഭൂമിയിൽ നാല്പതു ദിവസം ജലപ്രളയം ഉണ്ടായി, വെള്ളം വർദ്ധിച്ചു പെട്ടകം പൊങ്ങി, നിലത്തുനിന്നു ഉയർന്നു.

And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.വെള്ളം പൊങ്ങി ഭൂമിയിൽ ഏറ്റേവും പെരുകി; പെട്ടകം വെള്ളത്തിൽ ഒഴുകിത്തുടങ്ങി.

And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.വെള്ളം ഭൂമിയിൽഅത്യധികം പൊങ്ങി, ആകാശത്തിൻ കീഴെങ്ങമുള്ള ഉയർന്ന പർവ്വതങ്ങളൊക്കെയും മൂടിപ്പോയി.

Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.പർവ്വതങ്ങൾ മൂടുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം വെള്ളം പതിനഞ്ചു മുഴം അവെക്കു മീതെ പൊങ്ങി.

And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth, and every man:പറവകളും കന്നുകാലികളും കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളും നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന എല്ലാ ഇഴജാതിയുമായി ഭൂചരജഡമൊക്കെയും സകലമനുഷ്യരും ചത്തുപോയി.

All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.കരയിലുള്ള സകലത്തിലും മൂക്കിൽ ജീവശ്വാസമുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ചത്തു.

And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.ഭൂമിയിൽ മനുഷ്യനും മൃഗങ്ങളും ഇഴജാതിയും ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകളുമായി ഭൂമിയിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന സകലജീവജാലങ്ങളും നശിച്ചുപോയി; അവ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു നശിച്ചുപോയി; നോഹയും അവനോടുകൂടെ പെട്ടകത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നവരും മാത്രം ശേഷിച്ചു.

And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.വെള്ളം ഭൂമിയിൽ നൂറ്റമ്പതു ദിവസം പൊങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

Genesis 8

And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided;ദൈവം നോഹയെയും അവനോടുകൂടെ പെട്ടകത്തിൽ ഉള്ള സകല ജീവികളെയും സകലമൃഗങ്ങളെയും ഓർത്തു; ദൈവം ഭൂമിമേൽ ഒരു കാറ്റു അടിപ്പിച്ചു; വെള്ളം നിലെച്ചു.

The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;ആഴിയുടെ ഉറവുകളും ആകാശത്തിന്റെ കിളിവാതിലുകളും അടഞ്ഞു; ആകാശത്തുനിന്നുള്ള മഴയും നിന്നു.

And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were decreased.വെള്ളം ഇടവിടാതെ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു ഇറങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; നൂറ്റമ്പതു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം വെള്ളം കുറഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങി.

And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.ഏഴാം മാസം പതിനേഴാം തിയ്യതി പെട്ടകം അരരാത്ത് പർവ്വതത്തിൽ ഉറെച്ചു.

And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.പത്താം മാസം വരെ വെള്ളം ഇടവിടാതെ കുറഞ്ഞു; പത്താം മാസം ഒന്നാം തിയ്യതി പർവ്വതശിഖരങ്ങൾ കാണായി.

And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:നാല്പതു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം നോഹ താൻ പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരുന്ന കിളിവാതിൽ തുറന്നു.

And he sent forth a raven, which went forth back and forth, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.അവൻ ഒരു മലങ്കാക്കയെ പുറത്തു വിട്ടു; അതു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഭൂമിയിൽ വെള്ളം വറ്റിപ്പോയതു വരെ പോയും വന്നും കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were decreased from off the face of the ground;ഭൂമിയിൽ വെള്ളം കുറഞ്ഞുവോ എന്നു അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ ഒരു പ്രാവിനെയും തന്റെ അടുക്കൽനിന്നു പുറത്തു വിട്ടു.

But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.എന്നാൽ സർവ്വഭൂമിയിലും വെള്ളം കിടക്കകൊണ്ടു പ്രാവു കാൽ വെപ്പാൻ സ്ഥലം കാണാതെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പെട്ടകത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു; അവൻ കൈനീട്ടി അതിനെ പിടിച്ചു തന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പെട്ടകത്തിൽ ആക്കി.

And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;ഏഴു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ വീണ്ടും ആ പ്രാവിനെ പെട്ടകത്തിൽ നിന്നു പുറത്തു വിട്ടു.

And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off: so Noah knew that the waters were decreased from off the earth.പ്രാവു വൈകുന്നേരത്തു അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു; അതിന്റെ വായിൽ അതാ, ഒരു പച്ച ഒലിവില; അതിനാൽ ഭൂമിയിൽ വെള്ളം കുറഞ്ഞു എന്നു നോഹ അറിഞ്ഞു.

And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.പിന്നെയും ഏഴു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ ആ പ്രാവിനെ പുറത്തു വിട്ടു; അതു പിന്നെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങി വന്നില്ല.

And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.ആറുനൂറ്റൊന്നാം സംവത്സരം ഒന്നാം മാസം ഒന്നാം തിയ്യതി ഭൂമിയിൽ വെള്ളം വറ്റിപ്പോയിരുന്നു; നോഹ പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ മേല്ത്തട്ടു നീക്കി, ഭൂതലം ഉണങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കണ്ടു.

And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.രണ്ടാം മാസം ഇരുപത്തേഴാം തിയ്യതി ഭൂമി ഉണങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.

And God spoke unto Noah, saying,ദൈവം നോഹയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു:

¹⁶

Go out of the ark, you, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons' wives with you.നീയും നിന്റെ ഭാര്യയും പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും പെട്ടകത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറത്തിറങ്ങുവിൻ.

Bring forth with you every living thing that is with you, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.പറവകളും മൃഗങ്ങളും നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന ഇഴജാതിയുമായ സർവ്വജഡത്തിൽനിന്നും നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്ന സകല ജീവികളെയും പുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരിക; അവ ഭൂമിയിൽ അനവധിയായി വർദ്ധിക്കയും പെറ്റു പെരുകുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.

And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him:അങ്ങനെ നോഹയും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും ഭാര്യയും പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും പുറത്തിറങ്ങി.

¹⁹

Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creeps upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.സകല മൃഗങ്ങളും ഇഴജാതികൾ ഒക്കെയും എല്ലാ പറവകളും ഭൂചരങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ജാതിജാതിയായി പെട്ടകത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങി.

And Noah built an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.നോഹ യഹോവെക്കു ഒരു യാഗപീഠം പണിതു, ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള സകല മൃഗങ്ങളിലും ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള എല്ലാപറവകളിലും ചിലതു എടുത്തു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ ഹോമയാഗം അർപ്പിച്ചു.

And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again strike any more every thing living, as I have done.യഹോവ സൌരഭ്യവാസന മണത്തപ്പോൾ യഹോവ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: ഞാൻ മനുഷ്യന്റെ നിമിത്തം ഇനി ഭൂമിയെ ശപിക്കയില്ല. മനുഷ്യന്റെ മനോനിരൂപണം ബാല്യംമുതൽ ദോഷമുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു; ഞാൻ ചെയ്തതു പോലെ സകല ജീവികളെയും ഇനി നശിപ്പിക്കയില്ല.

While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.ഭൂമിയുള്ള കാലത്തോളം വിതയും കൊയിത്തും, ശീതവും ഉഷ്ണവും, വേനലും വർഷവും, രാവും പകലും നിന്നുപോകയുമില്ല.
