And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടതിന്റെ നാനൂറ്റെണ്പതാം സംവത്സരത്തിൽ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ശലോമോന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ നാലാം ആണ്ടിൽ രണ്ടാം മാസമായ സീവ് മാസത്തിൽ അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം പണിവാൻ തുടങ്ങി.

And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.ശലോമോൻ രാജാവു യഹോവെക്കു പണിത ആലയം അറുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ഇരുപതു മുഴം വീതിയും മുപ്പതു മുഴം ഉയരവും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു

And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.ആലയമായ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുഖമണ്ഡപം ആലയവീതിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ആലയത്തിന്റെ മുൻ വശത്തു പത്തു മുഴം വീതിയും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു.

And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.അവൻ ആലയത്തിന്നു ജാലം ഇണക്കിയ കിളിവാതിലുകളെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about:മന്ദിരവും അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരവും കൂടിയ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരിനോടു ചേർത്തു ചുറ്റും തട്ടുതട്ടായി പുറവാരങ്ങളും പണിതു അവയിൽ ചുറ്റും അറകളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

The nethermost chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad: for without in the wall of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the walls of the house.താഴത്തെ പുറവാരം അഞ്ചു മുഴവും നടുവിലത്തേതു ആറു മുഴവും മൂന്നാമത്തേതു ഏഴു മുഴവും വീതിയുള്ളതായിരുന്നു; തുലാങ്ങൾ ആലയഭിത്തികളിൽ അകത്തു ചെല്ലാതിരിപ്പാൻ അവൻ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും പുറമെ ഗളം പണിതു.

And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.വെട്ടുകുഴിയിൽവെച്ചു തന്നേ കുറവുതീർത്ത കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു ആലയം പണിതതിനാൽ അതു പണിയുന്ന സമയത്തു ചുറ്റിക, മഴു മുതലായ യാതൊരു ഇരിമ്പായുധത്തിന്റെയും ഒച്ച ആലയത്തിങ്കൽ കേൾപ്പാനില്ലായിരുന്നു.

The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.താഴത്തെ പുറവാരത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽ ആലയത്തിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ആയിരുന്നു; ചുഴൽകോവണിയിൽകൂടെ നടുവിലെ പുറവാരത്തിലേക്കും നടുവിലത്തേതിൽനിന്നു മൂന്നാമത്തെ പുറവാരത്തിലേക്കും കയറാം.

So he built the house, and finished it; and covered the house with beams and boards of cedar.അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ആലയം പണിതുതീർത്തു; ദേവദാരുത്തുലാങ്ങളും ദേവദാരുപ്പലകയുംകൊണ്ടു ആലയത്തിന്നു മച്ചിട്ടു.

And then he built chambers against all the house, five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള തട്ടുകൾ അയ്യഞ്ചു മുഴം ഉയരത്തിൽ അവൻ പണിതു ദേവദാരുത്തുലാങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടു ആലയത്തോടു ഇണെച്ചു.

And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying,ശലോമോന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Concerning this house which you are in building, if you will walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with you, which I spoke unto David your father:നീ പണിയുന്ന ഈ ആലയം ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; നീ എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളെ ആചരിച്ചു എന്റെ വിധികളെ അനുസരിച്ചു എന്റെ കല്പനകളൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം നിന്നിൽ നിവർത്തിക്കും.

And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ വസിക്കും; എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയില്ല.

So Solomon built the house, and finished it.അങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ ആലയം പണിതുതീർത്തു.

And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the ceiling: and he covered them on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.അവൻ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവർ അകത്തെവശം ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു പണിതു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ ആലയത്തിന്റെ നിലംമുതൽ മച്ചുവരെ അകത്തെ വശം മരംകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചു; ആലയത്തിന്റെ നിലം സരളപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു തളമിട്ടു.

And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place.ആലയത്തിന്റെ പിൻവശം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളത്തിൽ നിലം മുതൽ ഉത്തരം വരെ ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു പണിതു: ഇങ്ങനെയാകുന്നു അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരമായ അതിവിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തിന്റെ ഉൾവശം പണിതതു.

And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long.അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുൻഭാഗത്തുള്ള മന്ദിരമായ ആലയത്തിന്നു നാല്പതു മുഴം നിളമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And the cedar of the house within was carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തെ ചുവരിന്മേൽ ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കുമിഴുകളും വിടർന്ന പുഷ്പങ്ങളും കൊത്തുപണിയായിരുന്നു; എല്ലാം ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു; കല്ലു അശേഷം കാണ്മാനുണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തു യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം വെക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ ഒരു അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരം ചമെച്ചു.

And the oracle in the front part was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar.അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ അകം ഇരുപതു മുഴം നീളവും ഇരുപതു മുഴം വീതിയും ഇരുപതു മുഴം ഉയരവും ഉള്ളതായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അതു തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; ദേവദാരുമരംകൊണ്ടുള്ള ധൂപപീഠവും പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകം ശലോമോൻ തങ്കംകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുൻ വശത്തു വിലങ്ങത്തിൽ പൊൻ ചങ്ങല കൊളുത്തി അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരം പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold.അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ആലയം ആസകലം പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്നുള്ള പീഠവും മുഴുവനും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high.അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിൽ അവൻ ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു പത്തു മുഴം ഉയരമുള്ള രണ്ടു കെരൂബുകളെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

²⁴

And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.ഒരു കെരൂബിന്റെ ഒരു ചിറകു അഞ്ചു മുഴം, കെരൂബിന്റെ മറ്റെ ചിറകു അഞ്ചു മുഴം; ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു ചിറകിന്റെ അറ്റം മുതൽ മറ്റെ ചിറകിന്റെ അറ്റംവരെ പത്തു മുഴം.

And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubims were of one measure and one size.മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്നും പത്തു മുഴം; കെരൂബ് രണ്ടിന്നും അളവും ആകൃതിയും ഒന്നു തന്നേ.

The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.ഒരു കെരൂബിന്റെ ഉയരം പത്തു മുഴം; മറ്റെ കെരൂബിന്നും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ.

And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.അവൻ കെരൂബുകളെ അന്തരാലയത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ നിർത്തി; കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകു വിടർന്നിരുന്നു; ഒന്നിന്റെ ചിറകു ഒരു ചുവരോടും മറ്റേതിന്റെ ചിറകു മറ്റേ ചുവരോടും തൊട്ടിരുന്നു. ആലയത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ അവയുടെ ചിറകു ഒന്നോടൊന്നു തൊട്ടിരുന്നു.

And he overlaid the cherubims with gold.കെരൂബുകളെയും അവൻ പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.അന്തരാലയവും ബഹിരാലയവുമായ ആലയത്തിന്റെ ചുവരുകളിലെല്ലാം ചുറ്റും കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടർന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപം കൊത്തി ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

And the floors of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.അന്തരാലയവും ബഹിരാലയവുമായ ആലയത്തിന്റെ തളവും അവൻ പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

And for the entering of the oracle he made doors of olive tree: the lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall.അവൻ അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നു ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു കതകു ഉണ്ടാക്കി; കുറമ്പടിയും കട്ടളക്കാലും ചുവരിന്റെ അഞ്ചിൽ ഒരു അംശമായിരുന്നു.

The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon the palm trees.ഒലിവ് മരം കൊണ്ടുള്ള കതകു രണ്ടിലും കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടർന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപങ്ങൾ കൊത്തി പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു; കെരൂബുകളിലും ഈന്തപ്പനകളിലും പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു

So also made he for the door of the temple posts of olive tree, a fourth part of the wall.അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ അവൻ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിലിന്നും ഒലിവുമരംകൊണ്ടു കട്ടള ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അതു ചുവരിന്റെ നാലിൽ ഒരംശമായിരുന്നു.

³⁴

And the two doors were of fir tree: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.അതിന്റെ കതകു രണ്ടും സരളമരംകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു കതകിന്നു രണ്ടു മടകൂപാളിയും മറ്റെ കതകിന്നു രണ്ടു മടകൂപാളിയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And he carved thereon cherubims and palm trees and open flowers: and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work.അവൻ അവയിൽ കെരൂബ്, ഈന്തപ്പന, വിടർന്ന പുഷ്പം എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപങ്ങളെ കൊത്തി രൂപങ്ങളുടെമേൽ പൊന്നു പൊതിഞ്ഞു.

And he built the inner court with three rows of hewed stone, and a row of cedar beams.അവൻ അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരം ചെത്തിയ കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു മൂന്നു വരിയും ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു വരിയുമായിട്ടു പണിതു.

In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid, in the month Zif:നാലാം ആണ്ടു സീവ് മാസത്തിൽ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നു അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇടുകയും,

And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.പതിനൊന്നാം ആണ്ടു എട്ടാം മാസമായ ബൂൽ മാസത്തിൽ ആലയം അതിന്റെ സകലഭാഗങ്ങളുമായി അതിന്റെ മാതൃകപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും പണിതുതീർക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ഏഴാണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു അതു പണിതുതീർത്തു.

But Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.ശലോമോൻ തന്റെ അരമന പതിമ്മൂന്നു ആണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു പണിതു അരമനപ്പണി മുഴുവനും തീർത്തു.

He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.അവൻ ലെബാനോൻ വനഗൃഹവും പണിതു; അതിന്നു നൂറു മുഴം നീളവും അമ്പതു മുഴം വീതിയും മുപ്പതു മുഴം ഉയരവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടുള്ള മൂന്നു നിര തൂണിന്മേൽ ദേവദാരു ഉത്തരംവെച്ചു പണിതു.

And it was covered with cedar above upon the beams, that lay on forty five pillars, fifteen in a row.ഓരോ നിരയിൽ പതിനഞ്ചു തൂണുവീതം നാല്പത്തഞ്ചു തൂണിന്മേൽ തുലാം വെച്ചു ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു തട്ടിട്ടു.

And there were windows in three rows, and light was against light in three ranks.മൂന്നു നിര കിളിവാതിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; മൂന്നു നിരയിലും അവ നേർക്കുനേരെ ആയിരുന്നു.

And all the doors and posts were square, with the windows: and light was against light in three ranks.വാതിലും കട്ടളയും എല്ലാം സമചതുരവും കിളിവാതിൽ മൂന്നു നിരയായി നേർക്കുനേരെയും ആയിരുന്നു.

And he made a porch of pillars; the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth thereof thirty cubits: and the porch was before them: and the other pillars and the thick beam were before them.അവൻ അമ്പതു മുഴം നീളവും മുപ്പതു മുഴം വീതിയും ഉള്ള ഒരു സ്തംഭമണ്ഡപവും അതിന്റെ മുൻ വശത്തു തൂണും ഉമ്മരപ്പടിയുമായി ഒരു പൂമുഖവും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

Then he made a porch for the throne where he might judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from one side of the floor to the other.ന്യായം വിധിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ആസ്ഥാനമണ്ഡപമായിട്ടു ഒരു സിംഹാസനമണ്ഡപവും പണിതു: അതിന്നു ആസകലം ദേവദാരുപ്പലകകൊണ്ടു അടിത്തട്ടിട്ടു.

And his house where he dwelt had another court within the porch, which was of the like work. Solomon made also an house for Pharaoh's daughter, whom he had taken to wife, like unto this porch.ഇതിന്റെ പണിപോലെ തന്നേ അവൻ മണ്ഡപത്തിന്നപ്പുറം മറ്റെ പ്രാകാരത്തിൽ അവൻ തനിക്കു വസിപ്പാനുള്ള അരമന പണിതു; ശലോമോൻ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചിരുന്ന ഫറവോന്റെ മകൾക്കും അവൻ ഈ മണ്ഡപംപോലെയുള്ള ഒരു അരമന പണിതു.

All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the foundation unto the coping, and so on the outside toward the great court.ഇവ ഒക്കെയും അടിസ്ഥാനം മുതൽ ഉത്തരക്കല്ലുവരെയും പുറത്തെ വലിയ പ്രാകാരംവരെയും തോതിന്നു വെട്ടി അകവും പുറവും ഈർച്ചവാൾകൊണ്ടു അറുത്തെടുത്തവിശേഷപ്പെട്ട കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു ആയിരുന്നു.

And the foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.അടിസ്ഥാനം പത്തു മുഴവും എട്ടു മുഴവുമുള്ള വിശേഷപ്പെട്ട വലിയ കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു ആയിരുന്നു.

And above were costly stones, after the measures of hewed stones, and cedars.മേൽപണി തോതിന്നു വെട്ടിയ വിശേഷപ്പെട്ട കല്ലുകൊണ്ടും ദേവദാരുകൊണ്ടും ആയിരുന്നു.

And the great court round about was with three rows of hewed stones, and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the house of the LORD, and for the porch of the house.യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ അകത്തെ പ്രാകാരത്തിന്നും ആലയത്തിന്റെ മണ്ഡപത്തിന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതു പോലെ വലിയ പ്രാകാരത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റും മൂന്നു വരി ചെത്തിയ കല്ലും ഒരു വരി ദേവദാരുവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And king Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre.ശലോമോൻ രാജാവു സോരിൽനിന്നു ഹീരാം എന്നൊരുവനെ വരുത്തി.

He was a widow's son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding, and cunning to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.അവൻ നഫ്താലിഗോത്രത്തിൽ ഒരു വിധവയുടെ മകൻ ആയിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ അപ്പനോ സോർയ്യനായ ഒരു മൂശാരിയത്രേ: അവൻ താമ്രംകൊണ്ടു സകലവിധ പണിയും ചെയ്‍വാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ജ്ഞാനവും ബുദ്ധിയും സാമർത്ഥ്യവും ഉള്ളവനായിരുന്നു. അവൻ ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു, അവൻ കല്പിച്ച പണി ഒക്കെയും തീർത്തു.

For he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them about.അവർ രണ്ടു താമ്രസ്തംഭം ഉണ്ടാക്കി; ഓരോന്നിന്നു പതിനെട്ടു മുഴം ഉയരവും പന്ത്രണ്ടുമുഴം ചുറ്റളവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And he made two capitals of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits:സ്തംഭങ്ങളുടെ തലെക്കൽ വെപ്പാൻ അവൻ താമ്രംകൊണ്ടു രണ്ടു പോതിക വാർത്തുണ്ടാക്കി; പോതിക ഓരോന്നും അയ്യഞ്ചു മുഴം ഉയരമുള്ളതായിരുന്നു.

And nets of checker work, and wreaths of chain work, for the capitals which were upon the top of the pillars; seven for the one capital, and seven for the other capital.സ്തംഭങ്ങളുടെ തലെക്കലെ പോതികെക്കു വലപോലെയുള്ള വിചിത്രപ്പണിയും മാലയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. പോതിക ഓരോന്നിന്നും ഇങ്ങനെ ഏഴേഴുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And he made the pillars, and two rows round about upon the one network, to cover the capitals that were upon the top, with pomegranates: and so did he for the other capital.അങ്ങനെ അവൻ സ്തംഭങ്ങളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അവയുടെ തലെക്കലുള്ള പോതിക മൂടത്തക്കവണ്ണം ഒരു പോതികയുടെ വലപ്പണിക്കു മീതെ രണ്ടു വരി മാതളപ്പഴം ഉണ്ടാക്കി; മറ്റെ പോതികെക്കും അവൻ അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

And the capitals that were upon the top of the pillars were of lily work in the porch, four cubits.മണ്ഡപത്തിലുള്ള സ്തംഭങ്ങളുടെ തലെക്കലെ പോതിക താമരപ്പൂവിന്റെ ആകൃതിയിൽ നാലു മുഴം ആയിരുന്നു.

And the capitals upon the two pillars had pomegranates also above, opposite to the belly which was by the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred in rows round about upon the other capital.രണ്ടു സ്തംഭത്തിന്റെയും തലെക്കൽ പോതിക ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരു പോതികെക്കു വലപ്പണിക്കരികെ കുംഭത്തോടു ചേർന്നു ചുറ്റും വരിവരിയായി ഇരുനൂറു മാതളപ്പഴം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; മറ്റെ പോതികെക്കും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ.

And he set up the pillars in the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called the name thereof Jachin: and he set up the left pillar, and called the name thereof Boaz.അവൻ സ്തംഭങ്ങളെ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മണ്ഡപവാതിൽക്കൽ നിറുത്തി; അവൻ വലത്തെ സ്തംഭം നിറുത്തി അതിന്നു യാഖീൻ എന്നും ഇടത്തെ സ്തംഭം നിറുത്തി അതിന്നു ബോവസ് എന്നും പേരിട്ടു.

And upon the top of the pillars was lily work: so was the work of the pillars finished.സ്തംഭങ്ങളുടെ അഗ്രം താമരപ്പൂവിന്റെ ആകൃതയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ സ്തംഭങ്ങളുടെ പണി തീർന്നു.

And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about.അവൻ ഒരു കടൽ വാർത്തുണ്ടാക്കി; അതു വൃത്താകാരമായിരുന്നു; അതിന്നു വക്കോടു വക്കുപത്തു മുഴവും ഉയരം അഞ്ചു മുഴവും ചുറ്റും മുപ്പതുമുഴം നൂലളവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And under the brim of it round about there were knops compassing it, ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about: the knops were cast in two rows, when it was cast.അതിന്റെ വക്കിന്നു താഴെ, പുറത്തു, മുഴം ഒന്നിന്നു പത്തു കുമിഴ് വീതം കടലിന്നു ചുറ്റും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതു വാർത്തപ്പോൾ തന്നെ കുമിഴും രണ്ടുനിരയായി വാർത്തിരുന്നു.

It stood upon twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east: and the sea was set above upon them, and all their hinder parts were inward.അതു പന്ത്രണ്ടു കാളയുടെ പുറത്തു വെച്ചിരുന്നു; അവയിൽ മൂന്നു വടക്കോട്ടും, മൂന്നു പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടും, മൂന്നു തെക്കോട്ടും, മൂന്നു കിഴക്കോട്ടും തിരിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; കടൽ അവയുടെ പുറത്തു വെച്ചിരുന്നു; അവയുടെ പൃഷ്ടഭാഗം ഒക്കെയും അകത്തോട്ടു ആയിരുന്നു.

And it was an hand breadth thick, and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths.അതിന്റെ കനം നാലംഗുലം; അതിന്റെ വക്കുപാനപാത്രത്തിന്റെ വകൂപോലെ താമരപ്പൂവിന്റെ ആകൃതിയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു. അതിൽ രണ്ടായിരം ബത്ത് വെള്ളം കൊള്ളും.

And he made ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth thereof, and three cubits the height of it.അവൻ താമ്രംകൊണ്ടു പത്തു പീഠം ഉണ്ടാക്കി; ഓരോ പീഠത്തിന്നു നാലു മുഴം നീളവും നാലു മുഴം വീതിയും മൂന്നു മുഴം ഉയരവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And the work of the bases was on this manner: they had borders, and the borders were between the ledges:പീഠങ്ങളുടെ പണി എങ്ങനെയെന്നാൽ: അവക്കുചട്ടപ്പലക ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ചട്ടപ്പലക ചട്ടങ്ങളിൽ ആയിരുന്നു.

And on the borders that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubims: and upon the ledges there was a base above: and beneath the lions and oxen were certain additions made of thin work.ചട്ടങ്ങളിൽ ഇട്ടിരുന്ന പലകമേൽ സിംഹങ്ങളും കാളകളും കെരൂബുകളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ചട്ടങ്ങളിൽ അവ്വണ്ണം സിംഹങ്ങൾക്കും കാളകൾക്കും മീതെയും താഴെയും തോരണപണിയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And every base had four brazen wheels, and plates of brass: and the four corners thereof had supporters: under the vessel that holds water were supporters molten, at the side of every addition.ഓരോ പീഠത്തിന്നും താമ്രം കൊണ്ടുള്ള നന്നാലു ചക്രവും താമ്രംകൊണ്ടുള്ള അച്ചുതണ്ടുകളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതിന്റെ നാലു കോണിലും കാലുകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. തൊട്ടിയുടെ കീഴെ കാൽ ഓരോന്നിന്നും പുറവശത്തു തോരണപ്പണിയോടുകൂടി വാർത്തിരുന്നു.

And the mouth of it within the capital and above was a cubit: but the mouth thereof was round after the work of the base, a cubit and an half: and also upon the mouth of it were engravings with their borders, foursquare, not round.അതിന്റെ വായ് ചട്ടക്കൂട്ടിന്നു അകത്തും മേലോട്ടും ഒരു മുഴം ഉയരമുള്ളതും ആയിരുന്നു; അതിന്റെ വായ് പീഠത്തിന്റെ പണിപോലെയും ഒന്നര മുഴം വൃത്തത്തിലും ആയിരുന്നു; അതിന്റെ വായക്കു കൊത്തുപണിയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ചട്ടപ്പലക വൃത്താകാരമല്ല, ചതുരശ്രം ആയിരുന്നു.

And under the borders were four wheels; and the axletrees of the wheels were joined to the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.ചക്രം നാലും ചട്ടങ്ങളുടെ കീഴും ചക്രങ്ങളുടെ അച്ചുതണ്ടുകൾ പീഠത്തിലും ആയിരുന്നു. ഓരോ ചക്രത്തിന്റെ ഉയരം ഒന്നര മുഴം.

And the work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their axletrees, and their naves, and their rims, and their spokes, were all molten.ചക്രങ്ങളുടെ പണി രഥചക്രത്തിന്റെ പണിപോലെ ആയിരന്നു; അവയുടെ അച്ചതണ്ടുകളും വട്ടുകളും അഴികളും ചക്രനാഭികളും എല്ലാം വാർപ്പു പണി ആയിരുന്നു.

And there were four supporters to the four corners of one base: and the supporters were of the very base itself.ഓരോ പീഠത്തിന്റെ നാലു കോണിലും നാലു കാലുണ്ടായിരുന്നു; കാലുകൾ പീഠത്തിൽനിന്നു തന്നേ ഉള്ളവ ആയിരുന്നു.

And in the top of the base was there a round compass of half a cubit high: and on the top of the base the ledges thereof and the borders thereof were of the same.ഓരോ പീഠത്തിന്റെയും തലെക്കൽ അര മുഴം ഉയരമുള്ള വളയവും ഓരോ പീഠത്തിന്റെയും മേലറ്റത്തു അതിന്റെ താങ്ങുകളും അതിന്റെ വക്കുകളും അതിൽനിന്നു തന്നേ ആയിരുന്നു.

For on the plates of the ledges thereof, and on the borders thereof, he graved cherubims, lions, and palm trees, according to the proportion of every one, and additions round about.അതിന്റെ താങ്ങുകളുടെ തട്ടുകളിലും വക്കുകളിലും അതതിൽ ഇടം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതുപോലെ അവൻ കെരൂബ്, സിംഹം ഈന്തപ്പന എന്നിവയുടെ രൂപം ചുറ്റും തോരണപ്പണിയോടുകൂടെ കൊത്തി.

After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one size.ഇങ്ങനെ അവൻ പീഠം പത്തും തീർത്തു; അവെക്കു ഒക്കെയും വാർപ്പും കണക്കും പരിമാണവും ഒരുപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

Then made he ten lavers of brass: one vessel that holds water contained forty baths: and every vessel that holds water was four cubits: and upon every one of the ten bases one vessel that holds water.അവൻ താമ്രംകൊണ്ടു പത്തു തൊട്ടിയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; ഓരോ തൊട്ടിയിൽ നാല്പതു ബത്ത് വെള്ളം കൊള്ളും; ഓരോ തൊട്ടി നന്നാലു മുഴം. പത്തു പീഠത്തിൽ ഓരോന്നിന്മേൽ ഓരോ തൊട്ടി വെച്ചു.

And he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward opposite to the south.അവൻ അഞ്ചു പീഠം ആലയത്തിന്റെ വലത്തു ഭാഗത്തും അഞ്ചു പീഠം ആലയത്തിന്റെ ഇടത്തുഭാഗത്തും വെച്ചു; കടലോ അവൻ ആലയത്തിന്റെ വലത്തു ഭാഗത്തു തെക്കുകിഴക്കായി വെച്ചു.

And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basons. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he made king Solomon for the house of the LORD:പിന്നെ ഹീരാം കലങ്ങളും ചട്ടുകങ്ങളും കലശങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; അങ്ങനെ ഹീരാം യഹോവയുടെ ആലയംവക ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിന്നു വേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത പണികളൊക്കെയും തീർത്തു.

The two pillars, and the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the two pillars; and the two networks, to cover the two bowls of the capitals which were upon the top of the pillars;രണ്ടു സ്തംഭം, രണ്ടു സ്തംഭത്തിന്റെയും തലെക്കലുള്ള ഗോളാകാരമായ രണ്ടു പോതിക, സ്തംഭങ്ങളുടെ തലെക്കലുള്ള പോതികകളുടെ രണ്ടു ഗോളം മൂടുവാൻ രണ്ടു വലപ്പണി,

And four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, even two rows of pomegranates for one network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were upon the pillars;സ്തംഭങ്ങളുടെ തലെക്കലുള്ള പോതികകളുടെ രണ്ടു ഗോളം മൂടുന്ന ഓരോ വലപ്പണിയിലും ഈരണ്ടുനിര മാതളപ്പഴമായി രണ്ടു വലപ്പണിയിലുംകൂടെ നാനൂറു മാതളപ്പഴം,

And the ten bases, and ten lavers on the bases;പത്തു പീഠം, പീഠങ്ങളിന്മേലുള്ള പത്തു തൊട്ടി,

And one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea;ഒരു കടൽ, കടലിന്റെ കീഴെയുള്ള പന്ത്രണ്ടു കാള,

And the pots, and the shovels, and the basons: and all these vessels, which Hiram made to king Solomon for the house of the LORD, were of bright brass.കലങ്ങൾ, ചട്ടുകങ്ങൾ, കലശങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ തന്നേ. യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം വക ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിന്നു വേണ്ടി ഹീരാം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ഈ ഉപകരണങ്ങളൊക്കെയും മിനുക്കിയ താമ്രംകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarthan.യോർദ്ദാൻ സമഭൂമിയിൽ സുക്കോത്തിന്നും സാരെഥാന്നും മദ്ധ്യേ കളിമണ്ണുള്ള നിലത്തുവെച്ചു രാജാവു അവയെ വാർപ്പിച്ചു.

And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because they were exceeding many: neither was the weight of the brass found out.ഉപകരണങ്ങൾ അനവധി ആയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ശലോമോൻ അവയൊന്നും തൂക്കിയില്ല; താമ്രത്തിന്റെ തൂക്കത്തിന്നു നിശ്ചയമില്ലായിരുന്നു.

And Solomon made all the vessels that pertained unto the house of the LORD: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, whereupon the showbread was,ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നുള്ള സകലഉപകരണങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; പൊൻ പീഠം, കാഴ്ചയപ്പം വെക്കുന്ന പൊൻ മേശ,

And the candlesticks of pure gold, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, with the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold,അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു അഞ്ചും ഇടത്തുഭാഗത്തു അഞ്ചുമായി പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ള വിളക്കുതണ്ടുകൾ, പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ള പുഷ്പങ്ങൾ,

And the bowls, and the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers of pure gold; and the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, to know, of the temple.ദീപങ്ങൾ, ചവണകൾ, തങ്കം കൊണ്ടുള്ള പാനപാത്രങ്ങൾ, കത്രികകൾ, കലശങ്ങൾ, തവികൾ, തീച്ചട്ടികൾ, അതിപരിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലമായ അന്തരാലയത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകൾക്കും മന്ദിരമായ ആലയത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകൾക്കും പൊന്നുകൊണ്ടുള്ള കെട്ടുകൾ എന്നിവ തന്നേ.

So was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the LORD. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated; even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, did he put among the treasures of the house of the LORD.അങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ രാജാവു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയംവക പണി എല്ലാം തീർത്തു. ശലോമോൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് നിവേദിച്ചിരുന്ന വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും ഉപകരണങ്ങളും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലെ ഭണ്ഡാരത്തിൽവെച്ചു.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.പിന്നെ യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം സീയോൻ എന്ന ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടതിന്നു ശലോമോൻ യിസ്രായേൽമൂപ്പന്മാരെയും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ പിതൃഭവനങ്ങളിലെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായ സകല ഗോത്രപ്രധാനികളെയും യെരൂശലേമിൽ ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.

And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.യിസ്രായേൽപുരുഷന്മാർ ഒക്കെയും ഏഴാംമാസമായ ഏഥാനീംമാസത്തിലെ ഉത്സവത്തിൽ ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നുകൂടി.

And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.യിസ്രായേൽമൂപ്പന്മാർ ഒക്കെയും വന്നപ്പോൾ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം എടുത്തു.

And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.അവർ യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകവും സമാഗമനക്കുടാരവും കൂടാരത്തിലെ വിശുദ്ധഉപകരണങ്ങളൊക്കെയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരുമത്രേ അവയെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നതു.

And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.ശലോമോൻ രാജാവും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നുകൂടിയ യിസ്രായേൽസഭ ഒക്കെയും അവനോടുകൂടെ പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു മുമ്പിൽ എണ്ണവും കണക്കുമില്ലാതെ അനവധി ആടുകളെയും കാളകളെയും യാഗംകഴിച്ചു.

And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims.പുരോഹിതന്മാർ യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം അതിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു, ആലയത്തിലെ അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിൽ അതിവിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തു, കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകിൻ കീഴെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു വെച്ചു.

For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.കെരൂബുകൾ പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു മീതെ ചിറകു വിരിച്ചു പെട്ടകത്തെയും അതിന്റെ തണ്ടുകളെയും മൂടിനിന്നു.

And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.തണ്ടുകൾ നീണ്ടിരിക്കയാൽ തണ്ടുകളുടെ അറങ്ങൾ അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിൽ നിന്നു കാണും; എങ്കിലും പുറത്തുനിന്നു കാണുകയില്ല; അവഇന്നുവരെയും അവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം യഹോവ അവരോടു നിയമം ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ മോശെ ഹോരേബിൽ വെച്ചു അതിൽ വെച്ചിരുന്ന രണ്ടു കല്പലകയല്ലാതെ പെട്ടകത്തിൽ മറ്റൊന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല;

And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,പുരോഹിതന്മാർ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ മേഘം യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ നിറഞ്ഞു.

So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു മേഘംനിമിത്തം ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു നില്പാൻ പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

Then spoke Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.അപ്പോൾ ശലോമോൻ: താൻ കൂരിരുളിൽ വസിക്കുമെന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു;

I have surely built you an house to dwell in, a settled place for you to abide in for ever.എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ഒരു നിവാസാലയം, നിനക്കു എന്നേക്കും വസിപ്പാൻ ഒരു സ്ഥലം, പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;)പിന്നെ യിസ്രായേൽസഭ മുഴുവനും നിന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ രാജാവു മുഖം തിരിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സർവ്വസഭയെയും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spoke with his mouth unto David my father, and has with his hand fulfilled it, saying,എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു തിരുവായ്കൊണ്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ.

Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാൾമുതൽ എന്റെ നാമം ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാൻ ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലഗോത്രങ്ങളിലും ഒരു പട്ടണം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തില്ല; എന്നാൽ എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു പ്രഭുവായിരിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ ദാവീദിനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു എന്നു അവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയേണം എന്നു എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in yours heart to build an house unto my name, you did well that it was in yours heart.എന്നാൽ യഹോവ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു: എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയേണമെന്നു നിനക്കു താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായല്ലോ; അങ്ങനെ താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായതു നല്ലതു.

Nevertheless you shall not build the house; but your son that shall come forth out of your loins, he shall build the house unto my name.എങ്കിലും ആലയം പണിയേണ്ടതു നീയല്ല, നിന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തുനിന്നുത്ഭവിക്കുന്ന മകൻ തന്നേ എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ആലയം പണിയും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

And the LORD has performed his word that he spoke, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ താൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം നിവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു പകരം ഞാൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയവും പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു.

And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നപ്പോൾ, അവരോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമം ഇരിക്കുന്ന പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു ഞാൻ അതിൽ ഒരു സ്ഥലം ഒരിക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:അനന്തരം ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിൻ മുമ്പിൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സർവ്വസഭയുടെയും സമക്ഷത്തു നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു ആകാശത്തിലേക്കു കൈ മലർത്തി പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keep covenant and mercy with your servants that walk before you with all their heart:യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാർക്കായി നിയമവും ദയയും പാലിക്കുന്ന നിന്നെപ്പോലെ മീതെ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും താഴെ ഭൂമിയിലും യാതൊരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ല.

Who have kept with your servant David my father that you promised him: you spoke also with your mouth, and have fulfilled it with yours hand, as it is this day.നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്നു ചെയ്ത വാഗ്ദാനം പാലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; തിരുവായ്കൊണ്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു ഇന്നു കാണുംപോലെ തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിർവത്തിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with your servant David my father that you promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that your children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as you have walked before me.ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസനോടു: നീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം തങ്ങളുടെ വഴി സൂക്ഷിക്കമാത്രം ചെയ്താൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിപ്പാൻ നിനക്കു ഒരു പുരുഷൻ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇല്ലാതെവരികയില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നിവർത്തിക്കേണമേ.

And now, O God of Israel, let your word, I pray you, be verified, which you spoke unto your servant David my father.ഇപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസനോടു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം ഒത്തുവരുമാറാകട്ടെ.

But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built?എന്നാൽ ദൈവം യഥാർത്ഥമായി ഭൂമിയിൽ വസിക്കുമോ? സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും സ്വർഗ്ഗാധിസ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലും നീ അടങ്ങുകയില്ലല്ലോ; പിന്നെ ഞാൻ പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിൽ അടങ്ങുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

Yet have you respect unto the prayer of your servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which your servant prays before you to day:എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അടിയൻ ഇന്നു തിരുമുമ്പിൽ കഴിക്കുന്ന നിലവിളയും പ്രാർത്ഥനയും കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടിയന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയിലേക്കും യാചനയിലേക്കും തിരിഞ്ഞു കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.

That yours eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which you have said, My name shall be there: that you may hearken unto the prayer which your servant shall make toward this place.അടിയൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു കഴിക്കുന്ന പ്രാർത്ഥന കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുമെന്നു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലമായ ഈ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു രാവും പകലും തൃക്കൺപാർത്തരുളേണമേ,

And hearken you to the supplication of your servant, and of your people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear you in heaven your dwelling place: and when you hear, forgive.ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു പ്രാർത്ഥിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന അടിയന്റെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും യാചന കേൾക്കേണമേ. നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കേൾക്കേണമേ; കേട്ടു ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ.

If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before yours altar in this house:ഒരുത്തൻ തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു കുറ്റം ചെയ്കയും അവൻ അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കാര്യം സത്യത്തിന്നു വെക്കുകയും അവൻ ഈ ആലയത്തിൽ നിന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നു മുമ്പാകെ വന്നു സത്യം ചെയ്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

Then hear you in heaven, and do, and judge your servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.നീ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കേട്ടു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു, ദുഷ്ടന്റെ നടപ്പു അവന്റെ തലമേൽ വരുത്തി അവനെ ശിക്ഷിപ്പാനും നീതിമാന്റെ നീതിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അവന്നു നല്കി അവനെ നീതീകരിപ്പാനും അടിയങ്ങൾക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുതരേണമേ.

When your people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against you, and shall return to you, and confess your name, and pray, and make supplication unto you in this house:നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേൽ നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയകനിമിത്തം അവർ ശത്രുവിനോടു തോറ്റിട്ടു നിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്വീകരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ഈ ആലയത്തിൽവെച്ചു നിന്നോടു പ്രാർ്ത്ഥിക്കയും യാചിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

³⁴

Then hear you in heaven, and forgive the sin of your people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which you gave unto their fathers.നീ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു അവരെ മടക്കിവരുത്തേണമേ.

³⁵

When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against you; if they pray toward this place, and confess your name, and turn from their sin, when you afflict them:അവർ നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു ആകാശം അടഞ്ഞു മഴപെയ്യാതിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്വീകരിക്കയും നീ അവരെ താഴ്ത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുതരികയും ചെയ്താൽ

Then hear you in heaven, and forgive the sin of your servants, and of your people Israel, that you teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon your land, which you have given to your people for an inheritance.നീ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു, അവർ നടക്കേണ്ടുന്ന നല്ല വഴി അവരെ ഉപദേശിക്കയും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു അവകാശമായി കൊടുത്ത നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു മഴ പെയ്യിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണമേ.

If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpillar; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമമോ മഹാമാരിയോ വെൺകതിർ, വിഷമഞ്ഞു, വെട്ടുക്കിളി, തുള്ളൻ എന്നിവയോ ഉണ്ടായാൽ അവരുടെ ശത്രു അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളുള്ള ദേശത്തു അവരെ നിരോധിച്ചാൽ വല്ല വ്യാധിയോ വല്ല ദീനമോ ഉണ്ടായാൽ യാതൊരുത്തനെങ്കിലും

What prayer and supplication whatsoever be made by any man, or by all your people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേൽ മുഴുവനെങ്കിലും വല്ല പ്രാർത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കഴിക്കയും ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ മനഃപീഡ അറിഞ്ഞു ഈ ആലയത്തിങ്കലേക്കു കൈ മലർത്തുകയും ചെയ്താൽ

³⁹

Then hear you in heaven your dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart you know; (for you, even you only, know the hearts of all the children of men;)നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കേട്ടു ക്ഷമിക്കയും

That they may fear you all the days that they live in the land which you gave unto our fathers.ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു നീ കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തു അവർ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും കാലത്തൊക്കെയും നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ഓരോരുത്തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അറിയുന്നതുപോലെ ഓരാരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പുപോലെയൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തരുളേണമേ; നീ മാത്രമല്ലോ സകലമനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെയും ഹൃദയത്തെ അറിയുന്നതു.

Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of your people Israel, but comes out of a far country for your name's sake;അത്രയുമല്ല, നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിലുള്ളവനല്ലാത്ത ഒരു അന്യജാതിക്കാരൻ ദൂരദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം ഹേതുവായി വരികയും --

(For they shall hear of your great name, and of your strong hand, and of your stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house;അവർ നിന്റെ മഹത്വമുള്ള നാമത്തെയും ബലമുള്ള ഭുജത്തെയും നീട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന കയ്യെയും കുറിച്ചു കേൾക്കുമല്ലാ-- ഈ ആലയത്തിങങ്കലേക്കു നോക്കി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

Hear you in heaven your dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calls to you for: that all people of the earth may know your name, to fear you, as do your people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have built, is called by your name.നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ കേട്ടു, ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലജാതികളും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേൽ എന്ന പോലെ നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുവാനും ഞാൻ പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാനും നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ അറിവാനും തക്കവണ്ണം അന്യജാതിക്കാരൻ നിന്നോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും നീ ചെയ്തുകൊടുക്കേണമേ.

If your people go out to battle against their enemy, anywhere you shall send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which you have chosen, and toward the house that I have built for your name:നീ നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ അയയക്കുന്ന വഴിയിൽ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുവിനോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്‍വാൻ പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത നഗരത്തിലേക്കും നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഞാൻ പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിലേക്കും തിരിഞ്ഞു യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചാൽ

Then hear you in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.നീ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ അവരുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കേട്ടു അവർക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുകൊടുക്കേണമേ.

⁴⁶

If they sin against you, (for there is no man that sins not,) and you be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;അവർ നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്കയും--പാപം ചെയ്യാത്ത മനുഷ്യൻ ഇല്ലല്ലോ--നീ അവരോടു കോപിച്ചു അവരെ ശത്രുവിന്നു ഏല്പിക്കയും അവർ അവരെ ദൂരത്തോ സമീപത്തോ ഉള്ള ശത്രുവിന്റെ ദേശത്തേക്കു ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്താൽ

Yet if they shall call to reflect themselves in the land where they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto you in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;അവരെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അവർ ഉണർന്നു മനംതിരിഞ്ഞു, അവരെ ബദ്ധരായി കൊണ്ടുപോയ ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു: ഞങ്ങൾ പാപം ചെയ്തു അകൃത്യവും ദുഷ്ടതയും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു

And so return unto you with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto you toward their land, which you gave unto their fathers, the city which you have chosen, and the house which I have built for your name:നിന്നോടു യാചിക്കയും അവരെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അവർ പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ നിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു, നീ അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു, നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത നഗരത്തിങ്കലേക്കും ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിങ്കലേക്കും നോക്കി നിന്നോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

Then hear you their prayer and their supplication in heaven your dwelling place, and maintain their cause,നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ അവരുടെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കേട്ടു അവർക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു,

And forgive your people that have sinned against you, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against you, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്ത നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടു, അവർ നിന്നോടു ചെയ്ത ദ്രോഹങ്ങളൊക്കെയും ക്ഷമിക്കയും അവരെ ബദ്ധന്മാരായി കൊണ്ടുപോയവർക്കു അവരോടു കരുണതോന്നത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവർക്കു അവരോടു കരുണ ലഭിക്കുമാറാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യേണമേ.

For they be your people, and yours inheritance, which you brought forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:അവർ മിസ്രയീം എന്ന ഇരുമ്പുലയുടെ നടുവിൽനിന്നു നീ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിന്റെ ജനവും നിന്റെ അവകാശവും ആകുന്നുവല്ലോ.

That yours eyes may be open unto the supplication of your servant, and unto the supplication of your people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call for unto you.അവർ നിന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഒക്കെയും നീ കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടിയന്റെ യാചനയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ യാചനയും തൃക്കൺ പാർത്തരുളേണമേ.

For you did separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be yours inheritance, as you spoke by the hand of Moses your servant, when you brought our fathers out of Egypt, O LORD God.കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ മിസ്രയീമിൽ നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നപ്പോൾ നിന്റെ ദാസനായ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലജാതികളിൽനിന്നും നീ അവരെ നിനക്കു അവകാശമായി വേറുതിരിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയോടു ഈ പ്രാർത്ഥനയും യാചനയും എല്ലാം കഴിച്ചുതീർന്നശേഷം അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിൽ മുമ്പിൽ മുഴങ്കാൽ കുത്തിയിരുന്നതും കൈ ആകാശത്തേക്കു മലർത്തിയിരുന്നതും വിട്ടു എഴുന്നേറ്റു.

And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,അവൻ നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേൽസഭയെ ഒക്കെയും ഉച്ചത്തിൽ ആശീർവ്വദിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

Blessed be the LORD, that has given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there has not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.താൻ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും തന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ; അവൻ തന്റെ ദാസനായ മോശെമുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത അവന്റെ നല്ല വാഗ്ദാനങ്ങളെല്ലാറ്റിലും വെച്ചു ഒന്നെങ്കിലും നിഷ്ഫലമായിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ.

The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ഇരുന്നതുപോലെ നമ്മോടുകൂടെയും ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ അവൻ നമ്മെ കൈവിടുകയോ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയോ ചെയ്യരുതെ.

That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.നാം അവന്റെ എല്ലാവഴികളിലും നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും അവൻ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു കല്പിച്ച അവന്റെ കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ തങ്കലേക്കു ചായുമാറാക്കട്ടെ.

And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:യഹോവ തന്നെ ദൈവം; മറ്റൊരുത്തനുമില്ല എന്നു ഭൂമിയിലെ സകല ജാതികളും അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു

⁶⁰

That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.അവൻ തന്റെ ദാസന്നും തന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നും അന്നന്നു ആവശ്യമുള്ളതുപോലെ ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ആപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ രാവും പകലും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധാനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ.

Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.ആകയാൽ ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ചുനടപ്പാനും അവന്റെ കല്പനകൾ പ്രമാണിപ്പാനും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയം നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയിങ്കൽ ഏകാഗ്രമായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before the LORD.പിന്നെ രാജാവും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലും യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ യാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.ശലോമോൻ യഹോവെക്കു ഇരുപത്തീരായിരം കാളയെയും ലക്ഷത്തിരുപതിനായിരം ആടിനെയും സമാധാനയാഗമായിട്ടു അർപ്പിച്ചു. ഇങ്ങനെ രാജാവും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളൊക്കെയും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു.

⁶⁴

The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and food offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brazen altar that was before the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and food offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന താമ്ര യാഗപീഠം ഹോമയാഗം, ഭോജനയാഗം, സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളുടെ മേദസ്സ് എന്നിവ കൊള്ളുന്നതിന്നു പോരാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു രാജാവു അന്നു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള പ്രാകാരത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യഭാഗം ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു അവിടെ ഹോമയാഗവും ഭോജനയാഗവും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളുടെ മേദസ്സും അർപ്പിച്ചു.

⁶⁵

And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.ശലോമോനും അവനോടുകൂടെ ഹമാത്തിന്റെ അതിർമുതൽ മിസ്രയീംതോടുവരെയുള്ള എല്ലാ യിസ്രായേലും വലിയൊരു സഭയായി ആ സമയത്തു നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഏഴു ദിവസവും പിന്നെയും ഏഴു ദിവസവും ഇങ്ങനെ പതിന്നാലും ദിവസം ഉത്സവം ആചരിച്ചു.

On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people.എട്ടാംദിവസം അവൻ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയച്ചു; അവർ രാജാവിനെ അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു, യഹോവ തന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിന്നു, തന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നും ചെയ്ത എല്ലാനന്മയെയും കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷവും ആനന്ദവുമുള്ളവരായി തങ്ങളുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളിലേക്കു പോയി.

1 Kings 9

And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,യഹോവയുടെ ആലയവും രാജധാനിയും മറ്റും തനിക്കു ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാൻ മനസ്സും താല്പര്യവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതൊക്കെയും ശലോമോൻ പണിതു തീർന്നശേഷം

That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.യഹോവ ഗിബെയോനിൽവെച്ചു ശലോമോന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായതുപോലെ രണ്ടാം പ്രാവശ്യവും അവന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.

And the LORD said unto him, I have heard your prayer and your supplication, that you have made before me: I have hallowed this house, which you have built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.യഹോവ അവനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തെന്നാൽ: നീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ കഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥനയും യാചനയും ഞാൻ കേട്ടു; നീ പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തെ എന്റെ നാമം അതിൽ എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥാപിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണും ഹൃദയവും എല്ലായ്പോഴും അവിടെ ഇരിക്കും.

And if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep my statutes and my judgments:ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്‍വാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഹൃദയനിർമ്മലതയോടും പരമാർത്ഥതയോടും കൂടെ നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് നടന്നതുപോലെ നടക്കുകയും എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും

Then I will establish the throne of your kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David your father, saying, There shall not fail you a man upon the throne of Israel.വിധികളും പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രാജാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിപ്പാൻ ഒരു പുരുഷൻ നിനക്കു ഇല്ലാതെപോകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ യിസ്രായേലിലുള്ള നിന്റെ രാജത്വത്തിന്റെ സിംഹാസനം ഞാൻ എന്നേക്കും സ്ഥിരമാക്കും.

But if all of you shall at all turn from following me, all of you or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:നിങ്ങളോ നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരോ എന്നെ വിട്ടുമാറി നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിക്കാതെ ചെന്നു അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ സേവിച്ചു നമസ്കരിച്ചാൽ

Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തുനിന്നു അവരെ പറിച്ചുകളയും; എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി ഞാൻ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയവും ഞാൻ എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും; യിസ്രായേൽ സകലജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയിൽ പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലും പരിഹാസവും ആയിരിക്കും.

And at this house, which is high, every one that passes by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why has the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?ഈ ആലയം എത്ര ഉന്നതമായിരുന്നാലും കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ഏവനും അതിനെ കണ്ടു സ്തംഭിച്ചു ചൂളകുത്തി: യഹോവ ഈ ദേശത്തിന്നും ഈ ആലയത്തിന്നും ഇങ്ങനെ വരുത്തിയതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിക്കും.

And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore has the LORD brought upon them all this evil.അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു നിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന തങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും അന്യദൈവങ്ങളോടു ചേർന്നു അവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു സേവിക്കയും ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഈ അനർത്ഥം ഒക്കെയും അവർക്കു വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അതിന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയും.

And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD, and the king's house,ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം, രാജധാനി എന്നീ രണ്ടു ഭവനവും ഇരുപതു സംവത്സരംകൊണ്ടു പണിതശേഷം

(Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.സോർരാജാവായ ഹീരാം ശലോമോന്നു അവന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ ഒക്കെയും ദേവദാരുവും സരളമരവും സ്വർണ്ണവും കൊടുത്തിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ശലോമോൻ രാജാവു ഹീരാമിന്നു ഗലീലദേശത്തു ഇരുപതു പട്ടണം കൊടുത്തു.

And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they pleased him not.ശലോമോൻ ഹീരാമിന്നു കൊടുത്ത പട്ടണങ്ങളെ കാണേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ സോരിൽനിന്നു വന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവ അവന്നു ബോധിച്ചില്ല, സഹോദരാ,

And he said, What cities are these which you have given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day.നീ എനിക്കു തന്ന ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ എന്തു എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അവെക്കു ഇന്നുവരെയും കാബൂൽദേശം എന്നു പേരായിരിക്കുന്നു.

And Hiram sent to the king sixscore talents of gold.ഹീരാമോ രാജാവിന്നു നൂറ്റിരുപതു താലന്തു പൊന്നു കൊടുത്തയച്ചു.

And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; in order to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.ശലോമോൻ രാജാവു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം, അരമന, മില്ലോ, യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ മതിൽ, ഹാസോർ, മെഗിദ്ദോ, ഗേസെർ എന്നിവ പണിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഊഴിയവേല ചെയ്യിച്ച വിവരം:

For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the Canaanites that dwelt in the city, and given it for a present unto his daughter, Solomon's wife.മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോൻ ചെന്നു, ഗേസെർ പിടിച്ചു തീവെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു, അതിൽ പാർത്തിരുന്ന കനാന്യരെ കൊന്നു, അതിനെ ശലോമോന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ തന്റെ മകൾക്കു സ്ത്രീധനമായി കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.

And Solomon built Gezer, and Bethhoron the nether,അങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ ഗേസെരും

¹⁸

And Baalath, and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land,താഴത്തെ ബേത്ത്-ഹോരോനും ബാലാത്തും ദേശത്തിലെ മരുഭൂമിയിലുള്ള

¹⁹

And all the cities of store that Solomon had, and cities for his chariots, and cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.തദ്മോരും ശലോമോന്നു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന സകലസംഭാരനഗരങ്ങളും രഥനഗരങ്ങളും കുതിരച്ചേവകർക്കുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളും ശലോമോൻ യെരൂശലേമിലും ലെബാനോനിലും തന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിൽ എല്ലാടവും പണിവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചതൊക്കെയും പണിതു

And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which were not of the children of Israel,അമോര്യർ, ഹിത്യർ, പെരിസ്യർ, ഹിവ്യർ, യെബൂസ്യർ എന്നിങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടാത്ത ശേഷിപ്പുള്ള സകലജാതിയെയും

Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservants unto this day.യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കു നിർമ്മൂലമാക്കുവാൻ കഴിയാതെ പിന്നീടും ദേശത്തു ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്ന അവരുടെ മക്കളെയും ശലോമോൻ ഊഴിയവേലക്കാരാക്കി; അവർ ഇന്നുവരെ അങ്ങനെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondmen: but they were men of war, and his servants, and his princes, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots, and his horsemen.യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിൽ നിന്നോ ശലോമോൻ ആരെയും ദാസ്യവേലക്കാക്കിയില്ല; അവർ അവന്റെ യോദ്ധാക്കളും ഭൃത്യന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും പടനായകന്മാരും അവന്റെ രഥങ്ങൾക്കും കുതിരച്ചേവകർക്കും അധിപതിമാരും ആയിരുന്നു.

These were the chief of the officers that were over Solomon's work, five hundred and fifty, which bare rule over the people that wrought in the work.അഞ്ഞൂറ്റമ്പതുപേർ ശലോമോന്റെ വേലയെടുത്ത ജനത്തിന്നു മേധാവികളായ മേലുദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്മാരായിരുന്നു.

But Pharaoh's daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which Solomon had built for her: then did he build Millo.ഫറവോന്റെ മകൾ ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽനിന്നു ശലോമോൻ അവൾക്കുവേണ്ടി പണിതിരുന്ന അരമനയിൽ പാർപ്പാൻ വന്നശേഷം അവൻ മില്ലോ പണിതു.

And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD, and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house.ശലോമോൻ യഹോവെക്കു പണിതിരുന്ന യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ അവർ ആണ്ടിൽ മൂന്നു പ്രാവശ്യം ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും അർപ്പിച്ചു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ധൂപം കാട്ടും. ഇങ്ങനെ അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം തീർത്തു.

And king Solomon made a navy of ships in Eziongeber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red sea, in the land of Edom.ശലോമോൻ രാജാവു എദോംദേശത്തു ചെങ്കടല്കരയിൽ ഏലോത്തിന്നു സമീപത്തുള്ള എസ്യോൻ-ഗേബെരിൽവെച്ചു കപ്പലുകൾ പണിതു.

And Hiram sent in the navy his servants, sailors that had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.ആ കപ്പലുകളിൽ ശലോമോന്റെ ദാസന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ഹീരാം സമുദ്രപരിചയമുള്ള കപ്പൽക്കാരായ തന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ അയച്ചു.

²⁸

And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.അവർ ഓഫീരിലേക്കു ചെന്നു അവിടെനിന്നു നാനൂറ്റിരുപതു താലന്തു പൊന്നു ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.
