Jeremiah 13

Thus says the LORD unto me, Go and get you a linen girdle, and put it upon your loins, and put it not in water.യഹോവ എന്നോടു: നീ ചെന്നു, ഒരു ചണനൂൽക്കച്ച വാങ്ങി നിന്റെ അരെക്കു കെട്ടുക; അതിനെ വെള്ളത്തിൽ ഇടരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

So I got a girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my loins.അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ കല്പനപ്രകാരം ഒരു കച്ച വാങ്ങി അരെക്കു കെട്ടി.

And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying,യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു രണ്ടാം പ്രാവശ്യം എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Take the girdle that you have got, which is upon your loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.നീ വാങ്ങി അരെക്കു കെട്ടിയ കച്ച എടുത്തു പറുപ്പെട്ടു ഫ്രാത്തിന്നരികത്തു ചെന്നു, അവിടെ ഒരു പാറയുടെ വിള്ളലിൽ ഒളിച്ചു വെക്കുക.

So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.യഹോവ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചതു പോലെ ഞാൻ ചെന്നു അതു ഫ്രാത്തിന്നരികെ ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ചു.

And it came to pass after many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded you to hide there.ഏറിയ നാൾ കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം യഹോവ എന്നോടു: നീ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഫ്രാത്തിന്നരികെ ചെന്നു, അവിടെ ഒളിച്ചുവെപ്പാൻ നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ച കച്ച എടുത്തുകൊൾക എന്നരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

Then I went to Euphrates, and dug, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was ruined, it was profitable for nothing.അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഫ്രാത്തിന്നരികെ ചെന്നു, ഒളിച്ചുവെച്ചിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു നിന്നു കച്ച മാന്തി എടുത്തു; എന്നാൽ കച്ച കേടുപിടിച്ചു ഒന്നിന്നും കൊള്ളരുതാതെ ആയിരുന്നു.

Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Thus says the LORD, After this manner will I ruin the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ യെഹൂദയുടെ ഗർവ്വവും യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ മഹാഗർവ്വവും കെടുത്തുകളയും.

This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.എന്റെ വചനം കേൾപ്പാൻ മനസ്സില്ലാതെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ ശാഠ്യംപോലെ നടക്കയും അന്യദേവന്മാരെ സേവിച്ചു നമസ്കരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരോടു ചേരുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ ദുഷ്ടജനം ഒന്നിന്നും കൊള്ളരുതാത്ത ഈ കച്ചപോലെ ആയിത്തീരും.

For as the girdle cleaves to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, says the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.കച്ച ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്റെ അരയോടു പറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തെ മുഴുവനും യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തെ മുഴുവനും എനിക്കു ജനവും കീർത്തിയും പ്രശംസയും അലങ്കാരവും ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്നോടു പറ്റിയിരിക്കുമാറാക്കി; അവർക്കോ അനുസരിപ്പാൻ മനസ്സായില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Therefore you shall speak unto them this word; Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall say unto you, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine?അതുകൊണ്ടു നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: എല്ലാതുരുത്തിയിലും വീഞ്ഞു നിറയും എന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; എല്ലാതുരുത്തിയിലും വീഞ്ഞു നിറയും എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നു അവർ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും.

Then shall you say unto them, Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David's throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.അതിന്നു നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഈ ദേശത്തിലെ സർവ്വനിവാസികളെയും ദാവീദിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്ന രാജാക്കന്മാരെയും പൂരോഹിതന്മാരെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരെയും യെരൂശലേമിലെ സർവ്വനിവാസികളെയും ഞാൻ ലഹരികൊണ്ടു നിറെക്കും.

And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, says the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.ഞാൻ അവരെ അന്യോന്യവും പിതാക്കന്മാരെയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും തമ്മിലും മുട്ടി നശിക്കുമാറാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കയല്ലാതെ ഞാൻ അവരോടു കനിവോ ക്ഷമയോ കരുണയോ കാണിക്കയില്ല.

Hear all of you, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD has spoken.നിങ്ങൾ കേൾപ്പിൻ, ചെവിതരുവിൻ; ഗർവ്വിക്കരുതു; യഹോവയല്ലോ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതു.

Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while all of you look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.ഇരുട്ടാകുന്നതിന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ കാൽ അന്ധകാരപർവ്വതങ്ങളിൽ ഇടറിപ്പോകുന്നതിന്നും മുമ്പെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു ബഹുമാനം കൊടുപ്പിൻ; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങൾ പ്രകാശത്തിന്നു കാത്തിരിക്കെ അവൻ അന്ധതമസ്സും കൂരിരുട്ടും വരുത്തും.

But if all of you will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD's flock is carried away captive.നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടനുസരിക്കയില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഗർവ്വം നിമിത്തം രഹസ്യത്തിൽ കരയും; യഹോവയുടെ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയിരിക്കയാൽ ഞാൻ ഏറ്റവും കരഞ്ഞു കണ്ണുനീരൊഴുക്കും.

Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory.നീ രാജാവിനോടും രാജമാതാവിനോടും: താഴെ ഇറങ്ങി ഇരിപ്പിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ചൂഡാമണിയായ ഭംഗിയുള്ള കിരീടം നിലത്തു വീണിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറക.

The cities of the south shall be shut up, and none shall open them: Judah shall be carried away captive all of it, it shall be wholly carried away captive.തെക്കുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങൾ അടെക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; തുറപ്പാൻ ആരുമില്ല; യെഹൂദയെ മുഴുവനും പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി, അശേഷം പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

Lift up your eyes, and behold them that come from the north: where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock?നീ തലപൊക്കി വടക്കു നിന്നു വരുന്നവരെ നോക്കുക; നിനക്കു നല്കിയിരുന്ന കൂട്ടം, നിന്റെ മനോഹരമായ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടം എവിടെ?

What will you say when he shall punish you? for you have taught them to be captains, and as chief over you: shall not sorrows take you, as a woman in travail?നിനക്കു സഖികളായിരിപ്പാൻ നീ തന്നേ ശീലിപ്പിച്ചവരെ അവൻ നിനക്കു തലവന്മാരായി നിയമിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നീ എന്തു പറയും? നോവു കിട്ടിയ സ്ത്രീയെപ്പോലെ നിനക്കു വേദന പിടിക്കയില്ലയോ?

And if you say in yours heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of yours iniquity are your skirts discovered, and your heels made bare.ഇങ്ങനെ എനിക്കു ഭവിപ്പാൻ സംഗതി എന്തു എന്നു നീ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ചോദിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ--നിന്റെ അകൃത്യബഹുത്വം നിമിത്തം നിന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ വിളുമ്പു നീങ്ങിയും നിന്റെ കുതികാലിന്നു അപമാനം വന്നും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may all of you also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.കൂശ്യന്നു തന്റെ ത്വക്കും പുള്ളിപ്പുലിക്കു തന്റെ പുള്ളിയും മാറ്റുവാൻ കഴിയുമോ? എന്നാൽ ദോഷം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ശീലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങൾക്കും നന്മ ചെയ്‍വാൻ കഴിയും.

Therefore will I scatter them as the stubble that passes away by the wind of the wilderness.ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ അവരെ മരുഭൂമിയിലെ കാറ്റത്തു പാറിപ്പോകുന്ന താളടിപോലെ ചിതറിച്ചുകളയും.

This is your lot, the portion of your measures from me, says the LORD; because you have forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.നീ എന്നെ മറന്നു വ്യാജത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു ഇതു നിന്റെ ഓഹരിയും ഞാൻ നിനക്കു അളന്നുതന്ന അംശവും ആകുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Therefore will I discover your skirts upon your face, that your shame may appear.അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാനും നിന്റെ നഗ്നത പ്രത്യക്ഷമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ വിളുമ്പു നിന്റെ മുഖത്തിന്നു മീതെ പൊക്കിവെക്കും.

I have seen yours adulteries, and your neighings, the lewdness of your whoredom, and yours abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto you, O Jerusalem! will you not be made clean? when shall it once be?നിന്റെ വ്യഭിചാരം, മദഗർജ്ജനം, വേശ്യാവൃത്തിയുടെ വഷളത്വം എന്നീ മ്ളേച്ഛതകളെ ഞാൻ വയലുകളിലെ കുന്നുകളിന്മേൽ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമേ, നിനക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! നിർമ്മലയായിരിപ്പാൻ നിനക്കു മനസ്സില്ല; ഇങ്ങനെ ഇനി എത്രത്തോളം?

Jeremiah 14

The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah concerning the dearth.വർൾച്ചയെക്കുറിച്ചു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായ യഹോവയുടെ വചനം.

Judah mourns, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.യെഹൂദാ ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ പടിവാതിൽക്കൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവൻ ക്ഷീണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ കറുപ്പുടുത്തു നിലത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ നിലവിളി പൊങ്ങുന്നു.

And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads.അവരുടെ കുലീനന്മാർ അടിയാരെ വെള്ളത്തിന്നു അയക്കുന്നു; അവർ കുളങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നിട്ടു വെള്ളം കാണാതെ വെറുമ്പാത്രങ്ങളോടെ മടങ്ങി വരുന്നു; അവർ ലജ്ജിച്ചു വിഷണ്ണരായി തല മൂടുന്നു.

Because the ground is cracked, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads.ദേശത്തു മഴയില്ലായ്കയാൽ നിലം ഉണങ്ങി വിണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ഉഴവുകാർ ലജ്ജിച്ചു തല മൂടുന്നു.

Yea, the hind also calved in the field, and forsook it, because there was no grass.മാൻ പേട വയലിൽ പ്രസവിച്ചിട്ടു പുല്ലില്ലായ്കയാൽ കുട്ടിയെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

And the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass.കാട്ടുകഴുത മൊട്ടക്കുന്നിന്മേൽ നിന്നു കൊണ്ടു കുറുനരികളെപ്പോലെ കിഴെക്കുന്നു; സസ്യങ്ങൾ ഇല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു അതിന്റെ കണ്ണു മങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു.

O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do you it for your name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against you.യഹോവ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വിരോധമായി സാക്ഷീകരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നിന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം പ്രവർത്തിക്കേണമേ; ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിന്മാറ്റങ്ങൾ വളരെയാകുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why should you be as a stranger in the land, and as a travelling man that turns aside to tarry for a night?യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയും കഷ്ടകാലത്തു അവന്റെ രക്ഷിതാവും ആയുള്ളോവേ, നീ ദേശത്തു പരദേശിയെപ്പോലെയും ഒരു രാപാർപ്പാൻ മാത്രം കൂടാരം അടിക്കുന്ന വഴിപോക്കനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരിക്കുന്നതെന്തു?

Why should you be as a man astonished, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet you, O LORD, are in the midst of us, and we are called by your name; leave us not.ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോയ പുരുഷനെപ്പോലെയും രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ കഴിയാത്ത വീരനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരിക്കുന്നതെന്തു? എന്നാലും യഹോവേ, നീ ഞങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ ഉണ്ടു; നിന്റെ നാമം ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങളെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കരുതേ.

Thus says the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD does not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.അവർ ഇങ്ങനെ ഉഴന്നു നടപ്പാൻ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു, കാൽ അടക്കിവെച്ചതുമില്ല എന്നു യഹോവ ഈ ജനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവെക്കു അവരിൽ പ്രസാദമില്ല; അവൻ ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നെ അവരുടെ അകൃത്യത്തെ ഓർത്തു അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ സന്ദർശിക്കും.

Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.യഹോവ എന്നോടു: നീ ഈ ജനത്തിന്നുവേണ്ടി അവരുടെ നന്മെക്കായി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കരുതു;

When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.അവർ ഉപവസിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അവരുടെ നിലവിളി കേൾക്കയില്ല; അവർ ഹോമയാഗവും ഭോജനയാഗവും അർപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അവയിൽ പ്രസാദിക്കയില്ല; ഞാൻ അവരെ വാൾകൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും മഹാമാരികൊണ്ടും മുടിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto them, All of you shall not see the sword, neither shall all of you have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.അതിന്നു ഞാൻ: അയ്യോ, യഹോവയായ കർത്താവേ, നിങ്ങൾ വാൾ കാണുകയില്ല, നിങ്ങൾക്കു ക്ഷാമം ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല, ഞാൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തു സ്ഥിരമായുള്ള സമാധാനം നിങ്ങൾക്കു നല്കും എന്നു പ്രവാചകന്മാർ അവരോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spoke unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nothing, and the deceit of their heart.യഹോവ എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: പ്രവാചകന്മാർ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഭോഷ്കു പ്രവചിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ അവരെ അയച്ചിട്ടില്ല, അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ല, അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല; അവർ വ്യാജദർശനവും പ്രശ്നവാക്യവും ഇല്ലാത്ത കാര്യവും സ്വന്തഹൃദയത്തിലെ വഞ്ചനയും നിങ്ങളോടു പ്രവചിക്കുന്നു.

Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ: ഞാൻ അയക്കാതെ എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ പ്രവചിക്കയും ഈ ദേശത്തു വാളും ക്ഷാമവും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല എന്നു പറകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: വാൾകൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും ആ പ്രവാചകന്മാർ മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും;

And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.അവരുടെ പ്രവചനം കേട്ട ജനമോ യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ വീഥികളിൽ ക്ഷാമവും വാളും ഹേതുവായിട്ടു വീണുകിടക്കും; അവരെയും അവരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരെയും പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും കുഴിച്ചിടുവാൻ ആരും ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടത അവരുടെമേൽ പകരും.

Therefore you shall say this word unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.നീ ഈ വചനം അവരോടു പറയേണം: എന്റെ കണ്ണിൽനിന്നു രാവും പകലും ഇടവിടാതെ കണ്ണുനീർ ഒഴുകട്ടെ; എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ പുത്രിയായ കന്യക കഠിനമായി തകർന്നും വ്യസനകരമായി മുറിവേറ്റും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not.വയലിൽ ചെന്നാൽ ഇതാ, വാൾകൊണ്ടു പട്ടുപോയവർ; പട്ടണത്തിൽ ചെന്നാൽ ഇതാ, ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടു പാടുപെടുന്നവർ പ്രവാചകനും പുരോഹിതനും ഒരുപോലെ തങ്ങൾ അറിയാത്ത ദേശത്തു അലഞ്ഞുനടക്കുന്നു.

Have you utterly rejected Judah? has your soul loathed Zion? why have you smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!നീ യെഹൂദയെ കേവലം ത്യജിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞുവോ? നിനക്കു സീയോനോടു വെറുപ്പു തോന്നുന്നുവോ? പൊറുപ്പാകാതവണ്ണം നീ ഞങ്ങളെ മുറിവേല്പിച്ചതെന്തിന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾ സമാധാനത്തിന്നായി കാത്തിരുന്നു; ഒരു ഗുണവും വന്നില്ല! രോഗശമനത്തിന്നായി കാത്തിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഇതാ, ഭീതി!

We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against you.യഹോവേ ഞങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദുഷ്ടതയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യവും അറിയുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Do not detest us, for your name's sake, do not disgrace the throne of your glory: remember, break not your covenant with us.നിന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം ഞങ്ങളെ തള്ളിക്കളയരുതേ; നിന്റെ മഹത്വമുള്ള സിംഹാസനത്തിന്നു ഹീനത വരുത്തരുതേ; ഓർക്കേണമേ, ഞങ്ങളോടുള്ള നിന്റെ നിയമത്തിന്നു ഭംഗം വരുത്തരുതേ.

Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? are not you he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon you: for you have made all these things.ജാതികളുടെ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂർത്തികളിൽ മഴ പെയ്യിക്കുന്നവർ ഉണ്ടോ? അല്ല, ആകാശമോ വർഷം നല്കുന്നതു? ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അതു നീ തന്നേ അല്ലയോ? നിനക്കായി ഞങ്ങൾ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇവയെ ഒക്കെയും സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു നീയല്ലോ.

Jeremiah 15

Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.യഹോവ എന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: മോശെയും ശമൂവേലും എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്നാലും എന്റെ മനസ്സു ഈ ജനത്തിങ്കലേക്കു ചായ്കയില്ല; ഇവരെ എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു ആട്ടിക്കളക; അവർ പോയ്ക്കൊള്ളട്ടെ.

And it shall come to pass, if they say unto you, Where shall we go forth? then you shall tell them, Thus says the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.ഞങ്ങൾ എവിടേക്കു പോകേണ്ടു എന്നു അവർ നിന്നോടു ചോദിച്ചാൽ നീ അവരോടു: മരണത്തിന്നുള്ളവർ മരണത്തിന്നും വാളിന്നുള്ളവർ വാളിന്നും ക്ഷാമത്തിന്നുള്ളവർ ക്ഷാമത്തിന്നും പ്രവാസത്തിന്നുള്ളവർ പ്രവാസത്തിന്നും പൊയ്ക്കൊള്ളട്ടെ എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറക.

And I will appoint over them four kinds, says the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.കൊന്നുകളവാൻ വാളും പറിച്ചുകീറുവാൻ നായ്ക്കളും തിന്നു മുടിപ്പാൻ ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികളും കാട്ടിലെ മൃഗങ്ങളും ഇങ്ങനെ നാലു വകയെ ഞാൻ അവരുടെ നേരെ നിയമിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ ഹിസ്കീയാവിന്റെ മകൻ മനശ്ശെനിമിത്തം, അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളതു നിമിത്തം തന്നേ, ഞാൻ അവരെ ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സകല രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും ഒരു ഭീതിവിഷയമാക്കിത്തീർക്കും.

For who shall have pity upon you, O Jerusalem? or who shall lament for you? or who shall go aside to ask how you do?യെരൂശലേമേ, ആർക്കു നിന്നോടു കനിവുതോന്നുന്നു? ആർ നിന്നോടു സഹതാപം കാണിക്കും? നിന്റെ ക്ഷേമം ചോദിപ്പാൻ ആർ കയറിവരും?

You have forsaken me, says the LORD, you are gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against you, and destroy you; I am weary with repenting.നീ എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പിൻവാങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നേരെ കൈ നീട്ടി നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിക്കും; ഞാൻ കരുണകാണിച്ചു മടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people since they return not from their ways.ദേശത്തിന്റെ പടിവാതിലുകളിൽ ഞാൻ അവരെ വീശുമുറംകൊണ്ടു വീശിക്കളഞ്ഞു; ഞാൻ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ മക്കളില്ലാത്തവരാക്കി നശിപ്പിച്ചു: എങ്കിലും അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ വഴികളെ വിട്ടുതിരിഞ്ഞില്ല.

Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city.അവരുടെ വിധവമാർ കടല്പുറത്തെ മണലിനെക്കാൾ പെരുകിക്കാണുന്നു; യൌവനക്കാരന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ നേരെ ഞാൻ നട്ടുച്ചെക്കു ഒരു വിനാശകനെ വരുത്തി പെട്ടന്നു അവളുടെ മേൽ നടുക്കവും ഭീതിയും വീഴുമാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു;

She that has borne seven languishes: she has given up the spirit; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she has been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, says the LORD.ഏഴു മക്കളെ പ്രസവിച്ചവൾ ക്ഷീണിച്ചു പ്രാണനെ വിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവളുടെ സൂര്യൻ പകൽ തീരുംമുമ്പെ അസ്തമിച്ചുപോയി; അവൾ ലജ്ജിച്ചും നാണിച്ചും പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരിൽ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവരെ ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്കു മുമ്പിൽ വാളിന്നു ഏല്പിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Woe is me, my mother, that you have borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on interest, nor men have lent to me on interest; yet every one of them does curse me.എന്റെ അമ്മേ, സർവ്വദേശത്തിന്നും കലഹക്കാരനും വിവാദക്കാരനും ആയിരിക്കുന്ന എന്നെ നീ പ്രസവിച്ചുവല്ലോ, അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! ഞാൻ പലിശെക്കു കൊടുത്തിട്ടില്ല; എനിക്കു ആരും പലിശ തന്നിട്ടുമില്ല; എന്നിട്ടും അവരെല്ലാവരും എന്നെ ശപിക്കുന്നു.

The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with your remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to plead you well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നന്മെക്കായി രക്ഷിക്കും നിശ്ചയം; അനർത്ഥകാലത്തും കഷ്ടകാലത്തും ഞാൻ ശത്രുവിനെക്കൊണ്ടു നിന്നോടു യാചിപ്പിക്കും നിശ്ചയം.

Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?താമ്രവും ഇരിമ്പും വടക്കൻ ഇരിമ്പും ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകുമോ?

Your substance and your treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.നിന്റെ ദേശത്തൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ സകലപാപങ്ങളും നിമിത്തം നിന്റെ സമ്പത്തും നിക്ഷേപങ്ങളും ഞാൻ വിലവാങ്ങാതെ കവർച്ചെക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും.

And I will make you to pass with yours enemies into a land which you know not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.നീ അറിയാത്ത ദേശത്തു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശത്രുക്കളെ സേവിക്കുമാറാക്കും; എന്റെ കോപത്തിൽ ഒരു തീ ജ്വലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ കത്തും.

O LORD, you know: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in your longsuffering: know that for your sake I have suffered rebuke.യഹോവേ, നീ അറിയുന്നു; എന്നെ ഓർത്തു സന്ദർശിക്കേണമേ; എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നവരോടു പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യേണമേ; നിന്റെ ദീർഘക്ഷമയിൽ എന്നെ എടുത്തുകളയരുതേ; നിന്റെ നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ നിന്ദ സഹിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഓർക്കേണമേ;

Your words were found, and I did eat them; and your word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by your name, O LORD God of hosts.ഞാൻ നിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ കണ്ടെത്തി ഭക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ വചനങ്ങൾ എനിക്കു സന്തോഷവും എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്നു ആനന്ദവും ആയി; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ നാമം എനിക്കു വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of your hand: for you have filled me with indignation.കളിക്കാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഞാൻ ഇരുന്നു ഉല്ലസിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; നീ എന്നെ നീരസംകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചിരിക്കയാൽ നിന്റെ കൈനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ തനിച്ചിരുന്നു.

Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? will you be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?എന്റെ വേദന നിരന്തരവും എന്റെ മുറിവു പൊറുക്കാതവണ്ണം വിഷമവും ആയിരിക്കുന്നതെന്തു? നീ എനിക്കു ചതിക്കുന്ന തോടും വറ്റിപ്പോകുന്ന വെള്ളവും പോലെ ആയിരിക്കുമോ?

Therefore thus says the LORD, If you return, then will I bring you again, and you shall stand before me: and if you take forth the precious from the vile, you shall be as my mouth: let them return unto you; but return not you unto them.അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നീ മടങ്ങിവന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നില്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം വീണ്ടും കൈക്കൊള്ളും; നീ അധമമായതു ഒഴിച്ചു ഉത്തമമായതു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചാൽ നീ എന്റെ വായ്പോലെ ആകും; അവർ നിന്റെ പക്ഷം തിരിയും നീ അവരുടെ പക്ഷം തിരികയില്ല.

And I will make you unto this people a fenced brazen wall: and they shall fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you: for I am with you to save you and to deliver you, says the LORD.ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഈ ജനത്തിന്നു ഉറപ്പുള്ള താമ്രഭിത്തിയാക്കിവെക്കും; അവർ നിന്നോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യും, ജയിക്കയില്ല; നിന്നെ രക്ഷിപ്പാനും വിടുവിപ്പാനും ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

And I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കയും നീഷ്കണ്ടകന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വീണ്ടുകൊള്ളുകയും ചെയ്യും.
