1The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു മിഗ്ദോലിലും തഹ്പനേസിലും നോഫിലും പത്രോസ് ദേശത്തും പാർക്കുന്ന സകല യെഹൂദന്മാരെയും കുറിച്ചു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്തെന്നാൽ:
2Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; All of you have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwells therein,യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ യെരൂശലേമിന്മേലും സകലയെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിന്മേലും വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്ന അനർത്ഥം ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങൾ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ; അവ ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ആരും അവയിൽ വസിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
3Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, all of you, nor your fathers.അതു, അവരോ നിങ്ങളോ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോ അറിയാത്ത അന്യദേവന്മാർക്കു ധപൂംകാട്ടുവാനും അവയെ സേവിപ്പാനും ചെന്നു എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവർ ചെയ്ത ദോഷംനിമിത്തമത്രേ.
4Nevertheless I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ എന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു: ഞാൻ വെറുക്കുന്ന ഈ മ്ളേച്ഛകാര്യം നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യരുതെന്നു പറയിച്ചു.
5But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.എന്നാൽ അവർ അന്യദേവന്മാർക്കു ധൂപംകാട്ടാതവണ്ണം തങ്ങളുടെ ദോഷം വിട്ടുതിരിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാതെയും ചെവി ചായിക്കാതെയും ഇരുന്നു.
6Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.അതുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ ക്രോധവും കോപവും ചൊരിഞ്ഞു യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും യെരൂശലേംവീഥികളിലും ജ്വലിച്ചു; അവ ഇന്നു ശൂന്യവും നാശവും ആയി കിടക്കുന്നു.
7Therefore now thus says the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit all of you this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and nursing infant, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായി സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾക്കു ശേഷിപ്പായി ആരും ഇല്ലാതാകുംവണ്ണം യെഹൂദയുടെ മദ്ധ്യേനിന്നു പുരുഷനെയും സ്ത്രീയെയും പൈതലിനെയും മുലകുടിക്കുന്ന കുഞ്ഞിനെയും ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നും
8In that all of you provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, where all of you be gone to dwell, that all of you might cut yourselves off, and that all of you might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?നിങ്ങൾ വന്നു പാർക്കുന്ന മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അന്യദേവന്മാർക്കു ധൂപം കാണിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ ഛേദിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു സകല ഭൂജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ശാപവും നിന്ദയും ആയ്തീരേണ്ടതിന്നും നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാണഹാനിക്കായി ഈ മഹാദോഷം ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്തു?
9Have all of you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?യെഹൂദാദേശത്തും യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ വീഥികളിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ ചെയ്ത ദോഷങ്ങളും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാർ ചെയ്ത ദോഷങ്ങളും അവരുടെ ഭാര്യമാർ ചെയ്ത ദോഷങ്ങളും നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്ത ദോഷങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാർ ചെയ്ത ദോഷങ്ങളും നിങ്ങൾ മറന്നുപോയോ?
10They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.അവർ ഇന്നുവരെയും തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ താഴ്ത്തിയില്ല; അവർ ഭയപ്പെടുകയോ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ മുമ്പിലും വെച്ച ന്യായപ്രമാണവും ചട്ടങ്ങളും അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കയോ ചെയ്തതുമില്ല.
11Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all Judah.അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ അനർത്ഥത്തിന്നായിട്ടു, യെഹൂദയെ മുഴുവനും ഛേദിച്ചുകളവാനായിട്ടുതന്നേ, എന്റെ മുഖം നിങ്ങൾക്കു എതിരായി വെക്കുന്നു.
12And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the sword and by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു ചെന്നു പാർപ്പാൻ അവിടെ പോകേണ്ടതിന്നു മുഖം തിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദാശിഷ്ടത്തെ ഞാൻ പിടിക്കും; അവരെല്ലാവരും മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു അവർ വീഴും; വാൾകൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും അവർ മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും; അവർ ആബാലവൃദ്ധം വാൾകൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും മരിക്കും; അവർ പ്രാക്കിന്നും സ്തംഭനത്തിന്നും ശാപത്തിന്നും നിന്ദെക്കും വിഷയമായ്തീരും.
13For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:ഞാൻ യെരൂശലേമിനെ സന്ദർശിച്ചതുപോലെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു പാർക്കുന്നവരെയും വാൾകൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും മഹാമാരികൊണ്ടും സന്ദർശിക്കും.
14So that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but such as shall escape.മിസ്രയിംദേശത്തുവന്നു പാർക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദാശിഷ്ടത്തിൽ ആരും അവർക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു പാർപ്പാൻ ആഗ്രഹമുള്ള യെഹൂദാദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോവാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ചാടിപ്പോകയില്ല, ശേഷിക്കയുമില്ല; വഴുതിപ്പോകുന്ന ചിരല്ലാതെ ആരും മടങ്ങിപ്പോകയില്ല.
15Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,അതിന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാർ അന്യദേവന്മാർക്കു ധൂപം കാട്ടീട്ടുണ്ടെന്നു അറിഞ്ഞ സകലപുരുഷന്മാരും മഹാസംഘമായി അരികെ നിന്ന സകലസ്ത്രീകളും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു പത്രോസിൽ പാർത്ത സകലജനവും യിരെമ്യാവോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു:
16As for the word that you have spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto you.നീ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന വചനം സംബന്ധിച്ചു ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെ കൂട്ടാക്കുകയില്ല.
17But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goes forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.ആകാശരാജ്ഞിക്കു ധൂപംകാട്ടുകയും അവൾക്കു പാനീയബലി പകരുകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ നേർന്നിരിക്കുന്ന നേർച്ച ഒക്കെയും ഞങ്ങൾ നിവർത്തിക്കും; ഞങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും രാജാക്കന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും യെരൂശലേം വീഥികളിലും ചെയ്തതുപോലെ തന്നേ; അന്നു ഞങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടുവോളം ആഹാരവും സുഖവും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; ഒരു അനർത്ഥവും നേരിട്ടിരുന്നില്ല.
18But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ആകാശരാജ്ഞിക്കു ധൂപം കാട്ടുന്നതും പാനീയബലിപകരുന്നതും നിർത്തിയതു മുതൽ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു എല്ലാം ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടു തന്നേ; ഞങ്ങൾ വാൾകൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും മുടിയുന്നു.
19And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?ആകാശരാജ്ഞിക്കു ധൂപംകാട്ടുകയും പാനീയബലി പകരുകയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ, ഞങ്ങൾ അവളുടെ രൂപത്തിൽ അട ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നതും അവൾക്കു പാനീയബലി പകരുന്നതും ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഭർത്താക്കന്മാരെ കൂടാതെയോ?
20Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying,അപ്പോൾ യിരെമ്യാവു സകലജനത്തോടും, പുരുഷന്മാരും സ്ത്രികളുമായി തന്നോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞ സകല ജനത്തോടും തന്നേ, പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ:
21The incense that all of you burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, all of you, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not into his mind?യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ വീഥികളിലും നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും രാജാക്കന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ദേശത്തുള്ള ജനവും ധൂപംകാട്ടിയതു യഹോവ ഓർത്തില്ലയോ? അവന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ അതു വന്നില്ലയോ?
22So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which all of you have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തികൾനിമിത്തവും നിങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിച്ച മ്ളേച്ഛതനിമിത്തവും യഹോവെക്കു സഹിപ്പാൻ വഹിയാതെയായി; അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശം ഇന്നു നിവാസികൾ ഇല്ലാതെ ശൂന്യവും സ്തംഭനഹേതുവും ശാപവിഷയവും ആയിത്തീർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
23Because all of you have burned incense, and because all of you have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു അനുസരിക്കാതെയും അവന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണവും ചട്ടങ്ങളും സാക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിച്ചു നടക്കാതെയും ധൂപംകാട്ടി യഹോവയോടു പാപം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു, ഇന്നു ഈ അനർത്ഥം നിങ്ങൾക്കു വന്നു ഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
24Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:പിന്നെയും യിരെമ്യാവു സകലജനത്തോടും സകലസ്ത്രീകളോടും പറഞ്ഞതു: മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിരിക്കുന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരായ നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ!
25Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; All of you and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: all of you will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ആകാശരാജ്ഞിക്കു ധൂപം കാട്ടുവാനും പാനീയബലി പകരുവാനും നേർന്നിക്കുന്ന നേർച്ചകളെ ഞങ്ങൾ നിവർത്തിക്കും എന്നു നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും വായ്കൊണ്ടു പറകയും കൈകൊണ്ടു അനുഷ്ഠിക്കയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങളുടെ നേർച്ചകളെ ഉറപ്പാക്കിക്കൊൾവിൻ! നിങ്ങളുടെ നേർച്ചകളെ അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ!
26Therefore hear all of you the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD lives.അതുകൊണ്ടു മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു പാർക്കുന്ന സകലയെഹൂദന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ! മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തെയും ഒരു യെഹൂദനും വായെടുത്തു: യഹോവയായ കർത്താവണ എന്നിങ്ങനെ എന്റെ നാമം ഇനി ഉച്ചരിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ എന്റെ മഹത്തായ നാമം ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
27Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.ഞാൻ അവരുടെ നന്മെക്കായിട്ടല്ല, തിന്മെക്കായിട്ടത്രേ ജാഗരിച്ചിരിക്കും; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തിലെ എല്ലായെഹൂദന്മാരും വാൾകൊണ്ടും ക്ഷാമംകൊണ്ടും നശിച്ചു മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകും.
28Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or their's.എന്നാൽ വാളിന്നു തെറ്റി ഒഴിയുന്ന ഏതാനും പേർ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു നിന്നു യെഹൂദാദേശത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരും; മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു വന്നു പാർക്കുന്ന ശേഷം യെഹൂദന്മാർ ഒക്കെയും എന്റെ വചനമോ അവരുടേതോ ഏതു നിവൃത്തിയായി എന്നറിയും.
29And this shall be a sign unto you, says the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that all of you may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:എന്റെ വചനം നിങ്ങളുടെ തിന്മെക്കായിട്ടു നിവർത്തിയായ്വരുമെന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു നിങ്ങളെ സന്ദർശിക്കും എന്നതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഒരു അടയാളം ആകും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
30Thus says the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaohhophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and that sought his life.ഞാൻ യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവെ അവന്റെ ശത്രുവും അവന്നു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കിയവനുമായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസർ എന്ന ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഞാൻ മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോൻ-ഹോഫ്രയെയും അവന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യിലും അവന്നു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യിലും ഏല്പിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
