Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite:എഫ്രയീം മലനാട്ടിലെ രാമാഥയീം-സോഫീമിൽ എൽക്കാനാ എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരു പുരുഷൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ എലീഹൂവിന്റെ മകനായ യെരോഹാമിന്റെ മകൻ ആയിരുന്നു; എലീഹൂ എഫ്രയീമ്യനായ സൂഫിന്റെ മകനായ തോഹൂവിന്റെ മകൻ ആയിരുന്നു.

And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions:എൽക്കാനാ യാഗം കഴിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഒക്കെയും തന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ പെനിന്നെക്കും അവളുടെ സകലപുത്രന്മാർക്കും പുത്രിമാർക്കും ഓഹരികൊടുക്കും.

But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb.ഹന്നെക്കോ അവൻ ഹന്നയെ സ്നേഹിക്കകൊണ്ടു ഇരട്ടി ഓഹരി കൊടുക്കും. എന്നാൽ യഹോവ അവളുടെ ഗർഭം അടെച്ചിരിന്നു.

And her adversary also provoked her sore, in order to make her fret, because the LORD had shut up her womb.യഹോവ അവളുടെ ഗർഭം അടെച്ചിരുന്നതിനാൽ അവളുടെ പ്രതിയോഗി അവളെ വ്യസനിപ്പിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം വളരെ മുഷിപ്പിച്ചു.

And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat.അവൾ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു പോകുന്ന സമയത്തൊക്കെയും ആണ്ടുതോറും അവൾ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തുപോന്നു. അവൾ അവളെ മുഷിപ്പിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവൾ കരഞ്ഞു പട്ടിണി കിടന്നു.

Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weep you? and why eat you not? and why is your heart grieved? am not I better to you than ten sons?അവളുടെ ഭർത്താവായ എൽക്കാനാ അവളോടു: ഹന്നേ, നീ എന്തിന്നു കരയുന്നു? എന്തിന്നു പട്ടിണികിടക്കുന്നു? നീ വ്യസനിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? ഞാൻ നിനക്കു പത്തു പുത്രന്മാരെക്കാൾ നന്നല്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.അവർ ശീലോവിൽവെച്ചു തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്തശേഷം ഹന്നാ എഴുന്നേറ്റു പോയി. പുരോഹിതനായ ഏലി യഹോവയുടെ മന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കൽ ആസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കയായിരുന്നു.

And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.അവൾ മനോവ്യസനത്തോടെ യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു വളരെ കരഞ്ഞു.

And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if you will indeed look on the affliction of yours handmaid, and remember me, and not forget yours handmaid, but will give unto yours handmaid a male child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.അവൾ ഒരു നേർച്ചനേർന്നു; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവേ, അടിയന്റെ സങ്കടം നോക്കി അടിയനെ ഓർക്കയും അടിയനെ മറക്കാതെ ഒരു പുരുഷസന്താനത്തെ നല്കുകയും ചെയ്താൽ അടിയൻ അവനെ അവന്റെ ജീവപര്യന്തം യഹോവെക്കു കൊടുക്കും; അവന്റെ തലയിൽ ക്ഷൌരക്കത്തി തൊടുകയുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth.ഇങ്ങനെ അവൾ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഏലി അവളുടെ വായെ സൂക്ഷിച്ചു നോക്കി.

Now Hannah, she spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.ഹന്നാ ഹൃദയംകൊണ്ടു സംസാരിച്ചതിനാൽ അവളുടെ അധരം അനങ്ങിയതല്ലാതെ ശബ്ദം കേൾപ്പാനില്ലായിരുന്നു; ആകയാൽ അവൾക്കു ലഹരിപിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഏലിക്കു തോന്നിപ്പോയി.

And Eli said unto her, How long will you be drunken? put away your wine from you.ഏലി അവളോടു: നീ എത്രത്തോളം ലഹരി പിടിച്ചിരിക്കും? നിന്റെ വീഞ്ഞു ഇറങ്ങട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.അതിന്നു ഹന്നാ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: അങ്ങനെയല്ല, യജമാനനേ; ഞാൻ മനോവ്യസനമുള്ളൊരു സ്ത്രീ; ഞാൻ വീഞ്ഞോ മദ്യമോ കുടിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ എന്റെ ഹൃദയം പകരുകയത്രേ ചെയ്തതു.

Count not yours handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken until now.അടിയനെ ഒരു നീചസ്ത്രീയായി വിചാരിക്കരുതേ; അടിയൻ സങ്കടത്തിന്റെയും വ്യസനത്തിന്റെയും ആധിക്യംകൊണ്ടാകുന്നു സംസാരിച്ചതു.

Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant you your petition that you have asked of him.അതിന്നു ഏലി: സമാധാനത്തോടെ പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവത്തോടു നീ കഴിച്ച അപേക്ഷ അവൻ നിനക്കു നല്കുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

And she said, Let yours handmaid find grace in your sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.അടിയന്നു തൃക്കണ്ണിൽ കൃപ ലഭിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു സ്ത്രീ തന്റെ വഴിക്കു പോയി ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചു; അവളുടെ മുഖം പിന്നെ വാടിയതുമില്ല.

And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.അനന്തരം അവർ അതികാലത്തു എഴുന്നേറ്റു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നമസ്കരിച്ചശേഷം രാമയിൽ തങ്ങളുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി. എന്നാൽ എൽക്കാനാ തന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ ഹന്നയെ പരിഗ്രഹിച്ചു; യഹോവ അവളെ ഓർത്തു.

Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.ഒരു ആണ്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഹന്നാ ഗർഭംധരിച്ചു ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു; ഞാൻ അവനെ യഹോവയോടു അപേക്ഷിച്ചുവാങ്ങി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവന്നു ശമൂവേൽ എന്നു പേരിട്ടു.

And the man Elkanah, and all his house, went up to offer unto the LORD the yearly sacrifice, and his vow.പിന്നെ എൽക്കാനാ എന്ന പുരുഷനും അവന്റെ കുടുംബമൊക്കെയും യഹോവെക്കു വർഷാന്തരയാഗവും നേർച്ചയും കഴിപ്പാൻ പോയി.

But Hannah went not up; for she said unto her husband, I will not go up until the child be weaned, and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD, and there abide for ever.എന്നാൽ ഹന്നാ കൂടെപോയില്ല; അവൾ ഭർത്താവിനോടു: ശിശുവിന്റെ മുലകുടി മാറട്ടെ; പിന്നെ അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ചെന്നു അവിടെ എന്നു പാർക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ അവനെയും കൊണ്ടുപോരാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seems you good; tarry until you have weaned him; only the LORD establish his word. So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him.അവളുടെ ഭർത്താവായ എൽക്കാനാ അവളോടു: നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെയാകട്ടെ; അവന്റെ മുലകുടിമാറുംവരെ താമസിക്ക; യഹോവ തന്റെ വചനം നിവർത്തിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ അവൾ വീട്ടിൽ താമസിച്ചു മുലകുടി മാറുംവരെ മകന്നു മുലകൊടുത്തു.

And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of the LORD in Shiloh: and the child was young.അവന്നു മുലകുടി മാറിയശേഷം അവൾ മൂന്നു വയസ്സു പ്രായമുള്ള ഒരു കാളയും ഒരു പറമാവും ഒരു തുരുത്തി വീഞ്ഞുമായി അവനെ ശീലോവിൽ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു: ബാലനോ ചെറുപ്പമായിരുന്നു.

And they slew a bullock, and brought the child to Eli.അവർ കാളയെ അറുത്തിട്ടു ബാലനെ ഏലിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു.

And she said, Oh my lord, as your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman that stood by you here, praying unto the LORD.അവൾ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: യജമാനനേ; യജമാനനാണ, യഹോവയോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ഇവിടെ സമീപത്തു നിന്നിരുന്ന സ്ത്രീ ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു.

²⁷

For this child I prayed; and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of him:ഈ ബാലന്നായിട്ടു ഞാൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു; ഞാൻ യഹോവയോടു കഴിച്ച അപേക്ഷ യഹോവ എനിക്കു നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

²⁸

Therefore also I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there.അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവനെ യഹോവെക്കു നിവേദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ ജീവപര്യന്തം യഹോവെക്കു നിവേദിതനായിരിക്കും. അവർ അവിടെ യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

1 Samuel 2

And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoices in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in your salvation.അനന്തരം ഹന്നാ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: എന്റെ ഹൃദയം യഹോവയിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കൊമ്പു യഹോവയാൽ ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ വായ് ശത്രുക്കളുടെ നേരെ വിശാലമാകുന്നു; നിന്റെ രക്ഷയിൽ ഞാൻ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു.

There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside you: neither is there any rock like our God.യഹോവയെപ്പോലെ പരിശുദ്ധൻ ഇല്ല; നീ അല്ലാതെ ഒരുത്തനുമില്ലല്ലോ; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തെപ്പോലെ ഒരു പാറയും ഇല്ല.

Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.ഡംഭിച്ചു ഡംഭിച്ചു ഇനി സംസാരിക്കരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ വായിൽനിന്നു അഹങ്കാരം പുറപ്പെടരുതു. യഹോവ ജ്ഞാനമുള്ള ദൈവം; അവൻ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ തൂക്കിനോക്കുന്നു.

The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.വീരന്മാരുടെ വില്ലു ഒടിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു; ഇടറിയവരോ ബലം ധരിക്കുന്നു.

They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren has born seven; and she that has many children is waxed feeble.സമ്പന്നർ ആഹാരത്തിന്നായി കൂലിക്കു നില്ക്കുന്നു; വിശന്നവർ വിശ്രമം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു; മച്ചി ഏഴു പ്രസവിക്കുന്നു; പുത്രസമ്പന്നയോ ക്ഷയിച്ചു പോകുന്നു.

The LORD kills, and makes alive: he brings down to the grave, and brings up.യഹോവ കൊല്ലുകയും ജീവിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. പാതാളത്തിൽ ഇറക്കുകയും ഉദ്ധരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു;

The LORD makes poor, and makes rich: he brings low, and lifts up.യഹോവ ദാരിദ്ര്യവും ഐശ്വര്യവും നല്കുന്നു; അവൻ താഴ്ത്തുകയും ഉയർത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

He raises up the poor out of the dust, and lifts up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he has set the world upon them.അവൻ ദരിദ്രനെ പൊടിയിൽനിന്നു നിവിർത്തുന്നു; അഗതിയെ കുപ്പയിൽനിന്നു ഉയർത്തുന്നു; പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടുകൂടെ ഇരുത്തുവാനും മഹിമാസനം അവകാശമായി നല്കുവാനും തന്നേ. ഭൂധരങ്ങൾ യഹോവെക്കുള്ളവ; ഭൂമണ്ഡലത്തെ അവയുടെമേൽ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ കാലുകളെ അവൻ കാക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ അന്ധകാരത്തിൽ മിണ്ടാതെയാകുന്നു; സ്വശക്തിയാൽ ഒരുത്തനും ജയിക്കയില്ല.

The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.യഹോവയോടു എതിർക്കുന്നവൻ തകർന്നുപോകുന്നു; അവൻ ആകാശത്തുനിന്നു അവരുടെമേൽ ഇടി വെട്ടിക്കുന്നു. യഹോവ ഭൂസീമാവാസികളെ വിധിക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ രാജാവിന്നു ശക്തി കൊടുക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്റെ കൊമ്പു ഉയർത്തുന്നു.

And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child did minister unto the LORD before Eli the priest.പിന്നെ എൽക്കാനാ രാമയിൽ തന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി. ബാലൻ പുരോഹിതനായ ഏലിയുടെ മുമ്പിൽ യഹോവെക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്തു പോന്നു.

Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.എന്നാൽ ഏലിയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ നീചന്മാരും യഹോവയെ ഓർക്കാത്തവരും ആയിരുന്നു.

And the priest's custom with the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest's servant came, while the flesh was in seething, with a fork of three teeth in his hand;ഈ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ ജനത്തോടു ആചരിച്ച വിധം എങ്ങനെയെന്നാൽ: വല്ലവരും ഒരു യാഗം കഴിക്കുമ്പോൾ മാംസം വേവിക്കുന്ന സമയത്തു പുരോഹിതന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരൻ കയ്യിൽ മുപ്പല്ലിയുമായി വന്നു

And he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fork brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh unto all the Israelites that came thither.കലത്തിലോ ഉരുളിയിലോ കുട്ടകത്തിലോ ചട്ടിയിലോ കുത്തും; മുപ്പല്ലിയിൽ പിടിച്ചതൊക്കെയും പുരോഹിതൻ എടുത്തുകൊള്ളും. ശീലോവിൽ വരുന്ന എല്ലായിസ്രായേല്യരോടും അവർ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യും.

Also before they burnt the fat, the priest's servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have sodden flesh of you, but raw.മേദസ്സു ദഹിപ്പിക്കുംമുമ്പെ പുരോഹിതന്റെ ബാല്യക്കാരൻ വന്നു യാഗം കഴിക്കുന്നവനോടു: പുരോഹിതന്നു വറുപ്പാൻ മാംസം തരിക; പച്ചമാംസമല്ലാതെ വേവിച്ചതു അവൻ വാങ്ങുകയില്ല എന്നു പറയും.

And if any man said unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat presently, and then take as much as your soul desires; then he would answer him, Nay; but you shall give it me now: and if not, I will take it by force.മേദസ്സു ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകഴിയട്ടെ; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം നീ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നേടത്തോളം എടുത്തുകൊൾക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞാൽ അവൻ അവനോടു: അല്ല, ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നേ തരേണം; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ ബലാൽക്കാരേണ എടുക്കും എന്നു പറയും.

Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD: for men abhorred the offering of the LORD.ഇങ്ങനെ ആ യൌവനക്കാർ യഹോവയുടെ വഴിപാടു നിന്ദിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവരുടെ പാപം യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഏറ്റവും വലിയതായിരുന്നു.

But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod.ശമൂവേൽ എന്ന ബാലനോ പഞ്ഞിനൂൽകൊണ്ടുള്ള അങ്കി ധരിച്ചു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തുപോന്നു.

Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought it to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.അവന്റെ അമ്മ ആണ്ടുതോറും ഒരു ചെറിയ അങ്കി ഉണ്ടാക്കി തന്റെ ഭർത്താവിനോടുകൂടെ വർഷാന്തരയാഗം കഴിപ്പാൻ വരുമ്പോൾ അവന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു കൊടുക്കും.

And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give you seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home.എന്നാൽ ഏലി എൽക്കാനയെയും അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെയും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു; ഈ സ്ത്രീ യഹോവെക്കു കഴിച്ച നീവേദ്യത്തിന്നു പകരം യഹോവ അവളിൽ നിന്നു നിനക്കു സന്തതിയെ നല്കുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. പിന്നെ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി.

And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.യഹോവ ഹന്നയെ കടാക്ഷിച്ചു; അവൾ ഗർഭംധരിച്ചു മൂന്നു പുത്രന്മാരെയും രണ്ടു പുത്രിമാരെയും പ്രസവിച്ചു. ശമൂവേൽബാലനോ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വളർന്നുവന്നു.

Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.ഏലി വൃദ്ധനായാറെ അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിനോടും ചെയ്യുന്നതൊക്കെയും സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ വാതിൽക്കൽ സേവ ചെയ്യുന്ന സ്ത്രീകളോടുകൂടെ ശയിക്കുന്നതും അവൻ കേട്ടു.

And he said unto them, Why do all of you such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.അവൻ അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ഈവക ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു? നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തികളെക്കുറിച്ചു ഈ ജനമൊക്കെയും പറഞ്ഞു ഞാൻ കേൾക്കുന്നു.

Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: all of you make the LORD's people to transgress.അങ്ങനെ അരുതു, എന്റെ മക്കളേ, യഹോവയുടെ ജനം നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു പരത്തുന്നതായി ഞാൻ കേൾക്കുന്ന കേൾവി നന്നല്ല.

If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall implore for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them.മനുഷ്യൻ മനുഷ്യനോടു പാപം ചെയ്താൽ അവന്നു വേണ്ടി ദൈവത്തോടു അപേക്ഷിക്കാം; മനുഷ്യൻ യഹോവയോടു പാപം ചെയ്താലോ അവന്നു വേണ്ടി ആർ അപേക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. എങ്കിലും അവരെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ യഹോവ നിശ്ചയിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ അപ്പന്റെ വാക്കു കൂട്ടാക്കിയില്ല.

And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men.ശമൂവേൽബാലനോ വളരുന്തോറും യഹോവെക്കും മനുഷ്യർക്കും പ്രീതിയുള്ളവനായി വളർന്നു.

And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus says the LORD, Did I plainly appear unto the house of your father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?അനന്തരം ഒരു ദൈവപുരുഷൻ ഏലിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനം മിസ്രയീമിൽ ഫറവോന്റെ ഗൃഹത്തിന്നു അടിമകളായിരുന്നപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അവർക്കു വെളിപ്പെട്ടു നിശ്ചയം.

And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of your father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?എന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്മേൽ കയറുവാനും ധൂപം കാട്ടുവാനും എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഏഫോദ് ധരിപ്പാനും ഞാൻ അവനെ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകലഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്നും എനിക്കു പുരോഹിതനായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു; യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ സകലദഹനയാഗങ്ങളെയും ഞാൻ നിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിന്നു കൊടുത്തു.

Wherefore kick all of you at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honour your sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?തിരുനിവാസത്തിൽ അർപ്പിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള എന്റെ യാഗവും വഴിപാടും നിങ്ങൾ ചവിട്ടുകയും എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ എല്ലാവഴിപാടുകളിലും പ്രധാനഭാഗംകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ കൊഴുപ്പിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നീ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെ എന്നെക്കാൾ ബഹുമാനിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു?

Wherefore the LORD God of Israel says, I said indeed that your house, and the house of your father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD says, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിന്റെ ഭവനവും നിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനവും എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിത്യം പരിചരിക്കുമെന്നു ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചിരുന്നു നിശ്ചയം; ഇപ്പോഴോ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതു: അങ്ങനെ ഒരിക്കലും ആകയില്ല; എന്നെ മാനിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ മാനിക്കും; എന്നെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നവർ നിന്ദിതരാകും.

Behold, the days come, that I will cut off yours arm, and the arm of your father's house, that there shall not be an old man in yours house.നിന്റെ ഭവനത്തിൽ ഒരു വൃദ്ധനും ഉണ്ടാകാതവണ്ണം ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ഭുജവും നിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തിന്റെ ഭുജവും തകർത്തുകളയുന്ന നാളുകൾ ഇതാ വരുന്നു.

And you shall see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in yours house for ever.യിസ്രായേലിന്നു ലഭിപ്പാനുള്ള എല്ലാനന്മകളുടെയും മദ്ധ്യേ നീ തിരുനിവാസത്തിൽ ഒരു പ്രതിയോഗിയെ കാണും; നിന്റെ ഭവനത്തിൽ ഒരുനാളും ഒരു വൃദ്ധൻ ഉണ്ടാകയുമില്ല.

And the man of yours, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to consume yours eyes, and to grieve yours heart: and all the increase of yours house shall die in the flower of their age.നിന്റെ കണ്ണു ക്ഷയിപ്പിപ്പാനും നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം വ്യസനിപ്പിപ്പാനും ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ഭവനത്തിൽ ഒരുത്തനെ എന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയാതെ വെച്ചേക്കും; നിന്റെ ഭവനത്തിലെ സന്താനമൊക്കെയും പുരുഷപ്രായത്തിൽ മരിക്കും.

And this shall be a sign unto you, that shall come upon your two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them.നിന്റെ രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാരായ ഹൊഫ്നിക്കും ഫീനെഹാസിന്നും ഭവിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്നതു നിനക്കു ഒരു അടയാളം ആകും; അവർ ഇരുവരും ഒരു ദിവസത്തിൽ തന്നേ മരിക്കും.

And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.എന്നാൽ എന്റെ പ്രസാദവും ഹിതവും അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വിശ്വസ്തപുരോഹിതനെ ഞാൻ എനിക്കു എഴുന്നേല്പിക്കും; അവന്നു ഞാൻ സ്ഥിരമായോരു ഭവനം പണിയും; അവൻ എന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നിത്യം പരിചരിക്കും.

1 Samuel 3

And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision.ശമൂവേൽബാലൻ ഏലിയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ യഹോവെക്കു ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്തുപോന്നു; ആ കാലത്തു യഹോവയുടെ വചനം ദുർല്ലഭമായിരുന്നു; ദർശനം ഏറെ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു.

And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see;ആ കാലത്തു ഒരിക്കൽ ഏലി തന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു കിടന്നുറങ്ങി; കാണ്മാൻ വഹിയാതവണ്ണം അവന്റെ കണ്ണു മങ്ങിത്തുടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.

And before the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;ശമൂവേൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം ഇരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവയുടെ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിളക്കു കെടുന്നതിന്നു മുമ്പെ ചെന്നു കിടന്നു.

That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I.യഹോവ ശമൂവേലിനെ വിളിച്ചു: അടിയൻ എന്നു അവൻ വിളികേട്ടു ഏലിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു: അടിയൻ ഇതാ; എന്നെ വിളിച്ചുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for you called me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.ഞാൻ വിളിച്ചില്ല; പോയി കിടന്നുകൊൾക എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു; അവൻ പോയി കിടന്നു.

And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for you did call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.യഹോവ പിന്നെയും: ശമൂവേലേ എന്നു വിളിച്ചു. ശമൂവേൽ എഴന്നേറ്റു ഏലിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: അടിയൻ ഇതാ; എന്നെ വിളിച്ചുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാൻ വിളിച്ചില്ല, മകനേ; പോയി കിടന്നുകൊൾക എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him.ശമൂവേൽ അന്നുവരെ യഹോവയെ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല; യഹോവയുടെ വചനം അവന്നു അന്നുവരെ വെളിപ്പെട്ടതുമില്ല.

And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for you did call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.യഹോവ ശമൂവേലിനെ മൂന്നാം പ്രാവശ്യം വിളിച്ചു. അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഏലിയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: അടിയൻ ഇതാ; എന്നെ വിളിച്ചുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയായിരുന്നു ബാലനെ വിളിച്ചതു എന്നു ഏലിക്കു മനസ്സിലായി.

Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call you, that you shall say, Speak, LORD; for your servant hears. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.ഏലി ശമൂവേലിനോടു: പോയി കിടന്നുകൊൾക; ഇനിയും നിന്നെ വിളിച്ചാൽ: യഹോവേ, അരുളിച്ചെയ്യേണമേ; അടിയൻ കേൾക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു കൊള്ളേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ ശമൂവേൽ തന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു ചെന്നുകിടന്നു.

And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for your servant hears.അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ വന്നുനിന്നു മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ: ശമൂവേലേ, ശമൂവേലേ, എന്നു വിളിച്ചു. അതിന്നു ശമൂവേൽ: അരുളിച്ചെയ്യേണമേ; അടിയൻ കേൾക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that hears it shall tingle.യഹോവ ശമൂവേലിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: ഇതാ, ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ഒരു കാര്യം ചെയ്യും; അതു കേൾക്കുന്നവന്റെ ചെവി രണ്ടും മുഴങ്ങും.

In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end.ഞാൻ ഏലിയുടെ ഭവനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ അന്നു അവന്റെമേൽ ആദ്യന്തം നിവർത്തിക്കും.

For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knows; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ദൈവദൂഷണം പറയുന്ന അകൃത്യം അവൻ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും അവരെ ശാസിച്ചമർത്തായ്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവന്റെ ഭവനത്തിന്നു എന്നേക്കും ശിക്ഷവിധിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ അവനോടു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering for ever.ഏലിയുടെ ഭവനത്തിന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നു യാഗത്താലും വഴിപാടിനാലും ഒരു നാളും പരിഹാരം വരികയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ ഏലിയുടെ ഭവനത്തോടു സത്യംചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the LORD. And Samuel feared to show Eli the vision.പിന്നെ ശമൂവേൽ രാവിലെവരെ കിടന്നുറങ്ങി; രാവിലെ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ വാതിലുകളെ തുറന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഈ ദർശനം ഏലിയെ അറിയിപ്പാൻ ശമൂവേൽ ശങ്കിച്ചു.

And he said, What is the thing that the LORD has said unto you? I pray you hide it not from me: God do so to you, and more also, if you hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto you.അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: നിനക്കുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്തു? എന്നെ ഒന്നും മറെക്കരുതേ; നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സകലത്തിലും ഒരു വാക്കെങ്കിലും മറെച്ചാൽ ദൈവം നിന്നോടു തക്കവണ്ണവും അധികവും ചെയ്യട്ടേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Samuel told him everything, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the LORD: let him do what seems him good.അങ്ങനെ ശമൂവേൽ സകലവും അവനെ അറിയിച്ചു; ഒന്നും മറെച്ചില്ല. എന്നാറെ അവൻ: യഹോവയല്ലോ; തന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ ചെയ്യട്ടേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.എന്നാൽ ശമൂവേൽ വളർന്നു, യഹോവ അവനോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവന്റെ വചനങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നും നിഷ്ഫലമാകുവാൻ ഇടവരുത്തിയില്ല.

And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD.ദാൻ മുതൽ ബേർ-ശേബാവരെ ഉള്ള യിസ്രായേലൊക്കെയും ശമൂവേൽ യഹോവയുടെ വിശ്വസ്തപ്രവാചകൻ എന്നു ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.ഇങ്ങനെ യഹോവ ശീലോവിൽ വെച്ചു ശമൂവേലിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ വചനത്താൽ വെളിപ്പെട്ടശേഷം യഹോവ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും ശീലോവിൽവെച്ചു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.

1 Samuel 4

And the word of Samuel came to all Israel. Now Israel went out against the Philistines to battle, and pitched beside Ebenezer: and the Philistines pitched in Aphek.ശമൂവേലിന്റെ വചനം എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്നും വന്നിട്ടു: യിസ്രായേൽ ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ നേരെ യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു, ഏബെൻ-ഏസെരിന്നരികെ പാളയം ഇറങ്ങി, ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ അഫേക്കിലും പാളയമിറങ്ങി.

And the Philistines put themselves in array against Israel: and when they joined battle, Israel was smitten before the Philistines: and they slew of the army in the field about four thousand men.ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ നേരെ അണിനിരന്നു; പട പരന്നപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേൽ ഫെലിസ്ത്യരോടു തോറ്റുപോയി; സൈന്യത്തിൽ ഏകദേശം നാലായിരംപേരെ അവർ പോർക്കളത്തിൽ വെച്ചു സംഹരിച്ചു.

And when the people were come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, Wherefore has the LORD smitten us to day before the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of Shiloh unto us, that, when it comes among us, it may save us out of the hand of our enemies.പടജ്ജനം പാളയത്തിൽ വന്നാറെ യിസ്രായേൽമൂപ്പന്മാർ: ഇന്നു യഹോവ നമ്മെ ഫെലിസ്ത്യരോടു തോല്ക്കുമാറാക്കിയതു എന്തു? നാം ശീലോവിൽനിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം നമ്മുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരുത്തുക; അതു നമ്മുടെ ഇടയിൽ വന്നാൽ നമ്മെ നമ്മുടെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു രക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwells between the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.അങ്ങനെ ജനം ശീലോവിലേക്കു ആളയച്ചു. അവർ കെരൂബുകളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ അധിവസിക്കുന്നവനായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം അവിടെനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. ഏലിയുടെ രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാരായ ഹൊഫ്നിയും ഫീനെഹാസും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നിയമപെട്ടകത്തോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And when the ark of the covenant of the LORD came into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, so that the earth rang again.യഹോവയുടെ നിമയപെട്ടകം പാളയത്തിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ ഭൂമി കുലുങ്ങുംവണ്ണം യിസ്രായേലെല്ലാം ഉച്ചത്തിൽ ആർപ്പിട്ടു.

And when the Philistines heard the noise of the shout, they said, What means the noise of this great shout in the camp of the Hebrews? And they understood that the ark of the LORD was come into the camp.ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ ആർപ്പിന്റെ ഒച്ച കേട്ടിട്ടു: എബ്രായരുടെ പാളയത്തിൽ ഈ വലിയ ആർപ്പിന്റെ കാരണം എന്തു എന്നു അന്വേഷിച്ചു, യഹോവയുടെ പെട്ടകം പാളയത്തിൽ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

And the Philistines were afraid, for they said, God has come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there has not been such a thing in time past.ദൈവം പാളയത്തിൽ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ പറഞ്ഞു ഭയപ്പെട്ടു: നമുക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു കാര്യം ഇതുവരെ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല.

Woe unto us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty Gods? these are the Gods that stroke the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness.നമുക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! ശക്തിയുള്ള ഈ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു നമ്മെ ആർ രക്ഷിക്കും? മിസ്രയീമ്യരെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ സകലവിധബാധകളാലും ബാധിച്ച ദൈവം ഇതു തന്നേ.

Be strong and quit yourselves like men, O all of you Philistines, that all of you be not servants unto the Hebrews, as they have been to you: quit yourselves like men, and fight.ഫെലിസ്ത്യരേ, ധൈര്യം പൂണ്ടു പുരുഷത്വം കാണിപ്പിൻ; എബ്രായർ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ദാസന്മാരായിരുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ അവർക്കു ആകരുതു; പുരുഷത്വം കാണിച്ചു പൊരുതുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And there ran a man of Benjamin out of the army, and came to Shiloh the same day with his clothes rent, and with earth upon his head.പോർക്കളത്തിൽനിന്നു ഒരു ബെന്യാമീന്യൻ വസ്ത്രം കീറിയും തലയിൽ പൂഴി വാരിയിട്ടുംകൊണ്ടു ഓടി അന്നു തന്നെ ശീലോവിൽ വന്നു.

And when he came, lo, Eli sat upon a seat by the wayside watching: for his heart trembled for the ark of God. And when Eli heard the noise of the crying, he said, What means the noise of this tumult? And the man came in hastily, and told Eli.ഏലി നിലവിളികേട്ടപ്പോൾ ഈ ആരവം എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. ആ മനുഷ്യൻ ബദ്ധപ്പെട്ടു വന്നു ഏലിയോടും അറിയിച്ചു.

Now Eli was ninety and eight years old; and his eyes were dim, that he could not see.ഏലിയോ തൊണ്ണൂറ്റെട്ടു വയസ്സുള്ളവനും കാണ്മാൻ വഹിയാതവണ്ണം കണ്ണു മങ്ങിയവനും ആയിരുന്നു.

And the man said unto Eli, I am he that came out of the army, and I fled to day out of the army. And he said, What is there done, my son?ആ മനുഷ്യൻ ഏലിയോടു: ഞാൻ പോർക്കളത്തിൽനിന്നു വന്നവൻ ആകുന്നു; ഇന്നു തന്നേ ഞാൻ പോർക്കളത്തിൽനിന്നു ഓടിപ്പോന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. വർത്തമാനം എന്താകുന്നു, മകനേ, എന്നു അവൻ ചോദിച്ചു.

And the messenger answered and said, Israel is fled before the Philistines, and there has been also a great slaughter among the people, and your two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God is taken.അതിന്നു ആ ദൂതൻ: യിസ്രായേൽ ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ തോറ്റോടി; ജനത്തിൽ ഒരു മഹാസംഹാരം ഉണ്ടായി; നിന്റെ രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാരായ ഹൊഫ്നിയും ഫീനെഹാസും പട്ടുപോയി; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകവും പിടിപെട്ടുപോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And it came to pass, when he made mention of the ark of God, that he fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And his daughter in law, Phinehas' wife, was with child, near to be delivered: and when she heard the tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father in law and her husband were dead, she bowed herself and travailed; for her pains came upon her.എന്നാൽ അവന്റെ മരുമകൾ ഫീനെഹാസിന്റെ ഭാര്യ പ്രസവം അടുത്ത ഗർഭിണിയായിരുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം പിടിപെട്ടുപോയതും അമ്മാവിയപ്പനും ഭർത്താവും മരിച്ചതും കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അവൾക്കു പ്രസവവേദന തുടങ്ങി; അവൾ നിലത്തു വീണു പ്രസവിച്ചു.

And about the time of her death the women that stood by her said unto her, Fear not; for you have born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it.അവൾ മരിപ്പാറായപ്പോൾ അരികെ നിന്ന സ്ത്രീകൾ അവളോടു: ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; നീ ഒരു മകനെ പ്രസവിച്ചുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. എന്നാൽ അവൾ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞില്ല, ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചതുമില്ല.

And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം പിടിപെട്ടുപോകകൊണ്ടും അമ്മാവിയപ്പനെയും ഭർത്താവിനെയും ഓർത്തിട്ടും: മഹത്വം യിസ്രായേലിൽനിന്നു പൊയ്പോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവൾ കുഞ്ഞിന്നു ഈഖാബോദ് എന്നു പേർ ഇട്ടു.
