Psalms 73

English: Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

Malayalam: ദൈവം യിസ്രായേലിന്നു, നിർമ്മലഹൃദയമുള്ളവർക്കു തന്നേ, നല്ലവൻ ആകുന്നു നിശ്ചയം.

English: But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ എന്റെ കാലുകൾ ഏകദേശം ഇടറി; എന്റെ കാലടികൾ ഏറക്കുറെ വഴുതിപ്പോയി.

English: For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

Malayalam: ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സൌഖ്യം കണ്ടിട്ടു എനിക്കു അഹങ്കാരികളോടു അസൂയ തോന്നി.

English: For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

Malayalam: അവർക്കു വേദന ഒട്ടുമില്ലല്ലോ; അവരുടെ ദേഹം തടിച്ചുരുണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.

Malayalam: അവർ മർത്യരെപ്പോലെ കഷ്ടത്തിൽ ആകുന്നില്ല; മറ്റു മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെ ബാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.

English: Therefore pride compasses them about as a chain; violence covers them as a garment.

Malayalam: ആകയാൽ ഡംഭം അവർക്കു മാലയായിരിക്കുന്നു; ബലാൽക്കാരം വസ്ത്രംപോലെ അവരെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.

Malayalam: അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകൾ പുഷ്ടികൊണ്ടു ഉന്തിനില്ക്കുന്നു. അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നിരൂപണങ്ങൾ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്നു.

English: They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.

Malayalam: അവർ പരിഹസിച്ചു ദുഷ്ടതയോടെ ഭീഷണി പറയുന്നു; ഉന്നതഭാവത്തോടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

English: They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walks through the earth.

Malayalam: അവർ വായ് ആകാശത്തോളം ഉയർത്തുന്നു; അവരുടെ നാവു ഭൂമിയിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.

English: Therefore his people return here: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.

Malayalam: അതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ തന്റെ ജനത്തെ ഇതിലേക്കു തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ധാരാളം വെള്ളം വലിച്ചു കുടിക്കുന്നു.

English: And they say, How does God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

Malayalam: ദൈവം എങ്ങനെ അറിയുന്നു? അത്യുന്നതന്നു അറിവുണ്ടോ? എന്നു അവർ പറയുന്നു.

English: Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ ആകുന്നു ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ; അവർ നിത്യം സ്വസ്ഥത അനുഭവിച്ചു സമ്പത്തു വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

English: Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചതും എന്റെ കൈകളെ കുറ്റമില്ലായ്മയിൽ കഴുകിയതും വ്യർത്ഥമത്രേ.

English: For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ ബാധിതനായിരുന്നു; ഉഷസ്സുതോറും ദണ്ഡിക്കപ്പെട്ടും ഇരുന്നു.

English: If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of your children.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിപ്പാൻ വിചാരിച്ചെങ്കിൽ ഇതാ, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മക്കളുടെ തലമുറയോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.

English: When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;

Malayalam: ഞാൻ ഇതു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ നിരൂപിച്ചപ്പോൾ എനിക്കു പ്രയാസമായി തോന്നി;

English: Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

Malayalam: ഒടുവിൽ ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ ചെന്നു അവരുടെ അന്തം എന്താകും എന്നു ചിന്തിച്ചു.

English: Surely you did set them in slippery places: you casted them down into destruction.

Malayalam: നിശ്ചയമായി നീ അവരെ വഴുവഴുപ്പിൽ നിർത്തുന്നു; നീ അവരെ നാശത്തിൽ തള്ളിയിടുന്നു.

English: How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.

Malayalam: എത്ര ക്ഷണത്തിൽ അവർ ശൂന്യമായ്പോയി! അവർ മെരുൾചകളാൽ അശേഷം മുടിഞ്ഞുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: As a dream when one awakes; so, O Lord, when you awake, you shall despise their image.

Malayalam: ഉണരുമ്പോൾ ഒരു സ്വപ്നത്തെപ്പോലെ കർത്താവേ, നീ ഉണരുമ്പോൾ അവരുടെ രൂപത്തെ തുച്ഛീകരിക്കും.

English: Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ എന്റെ ഹൃദയം വ്യസനിക്കയും എന്റെ അന്തരംഗത്തിൽ കുത്തുകൊള്ളുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ

English: So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before you.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ പൊട്ടനും ഒന്നും അറിയാത്തവനും ആയിരുന്നു; നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ മൃഗംപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: Nevertheless I am continually with you: you have held me by my right hand.

Malayalam: എന്നിട്ടും ഞാൻ എപ്പോഴും നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്നെ വലങ്കൈക്കു പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

English: You shall guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Malayalam: നിന്റെ ആലോചനയാൽ നീ എന്നെ നടത്തും; പിന്നെത്തേതിൽ മഹത്വത്തിലേക്കു എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളും.

English: Whom have I in heaven but you? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside you.

Malayalam: സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ എനിക്കു ആരുള്ളു? ഭൂമിയിലും നിന്നെയല്ലാതെ ഞാൻ ഒന്നും ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല.

English: My flesh and my heart fails: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Malayalam: എന്റെ മാംസവും ഹൃദയവും ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; ദൈവം എന്നേക്കും എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ പാറയും എന്റെ ഓഹരിയും ആകുന്നു.

English: For, lo, they that are far from you shall perish: you have destroyed all them that go a whoring from you.

Malayalam: ഇതാ, നിന്നോടു അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നവർ നശിച്ചുപോകും; നിന്നെ വിട്ടു പരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്ന എല്ലാവരെയും നീ സംഹരിക്കും.

English: But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all your works.

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ ദൈവത്തോടു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു എനിക്കു നല്ലതു; നിന്റെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളെയും വർണ്ണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിനെ എന്റെ സങ്കേതമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
