John 18

English: When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples.

Malayalam: ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുമായി കെദ്രോൻ തോട്ടിന്നു അക്കരെക്കു പോയി. അവിടെ ഒരു തോട്ടം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതിൽ അവനും ശിഷ്യന്മാരും കടന്നു.

English: And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus frequently resorted thither with his disciples.

Malayalam: അവിടെ യേശു പലപ്പോഴും ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ പോയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്ത യൂദയും ആ സ്ഥലം അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

English: Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, comes thither with lanterns and torches and weapons.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ യൂദാ പട്ടാളത്തെയും മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും പരീശന്മാരും അയച്ച ചേവകരെയും കൂട്ടികൊണ്ടു ദീപട്ടിപന്തങ്ങളും ആയുധങ്ങളുമായി അവിടെ വന്നു.

English: Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek all of you?

Malayalam: യേശു തനിക്കു നേരിടുവാനുള്ളതു എല്ലാം അറിഞ്ഞു പുറത്തുചെന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ ആരെ തിരയുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus says unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.

Malayalam: നസറായനായ യേശുവിനെ എന്നു അവർ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ: അതു ഞാൻ തന്നേ എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞു; അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്ന യൂദയും അവരോടുകൂടെ നിന്നിരുന്നു.

English: As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

Malayalam: ഞാൻ തന്നേ എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവർ പിൻവാങ്ങി നിലത്തുവീണു.

English: Then asked he them again, Whom seek all of you? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങൾ ആരെ തിരയുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ പിന്നെയും അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവർ: നസറായനായ യേശുവിനെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore all of you seek me, let these go their way:

Malayalam: ഞാൻ തന്നേ എന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ; എന്നെ ആകുന്നു തിരയുന്നതെങ്കിൽ ഇവർ പോയ്ക്കൊള്ളട്ടെ എന്നു യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Of them which you gave me have I lost none.

Malayalam: നീ എനിക്കു തന്നവരിൽ ആരും നഷ്ടമായിപ്പോയിട്ടില്ല എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കിന്നു ഇതിനാൽ നിവൃത്തിവന്നു.

English: Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and stroke the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

Malayalam: ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസ് തനിക്കുള്ള വാൾ ഊരി മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ ദാസനെ വെട്ടി അവന്റെ വലത്തുകാതു അറുത്തു കളഞ്ഞു; ആ ദാസന്നു മൽക്കൊസ് എന്നു പേർ.

English: Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up your sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father has given me, shall I not drink it?

Malayalam: യേശു പത്രൊസിനോടു: വാൾ ഉറയിൽ ഇടുക; പിതാവു എനിക്കു തന്ന പാനപാത്രം ഞാൻ കുടിക്കേണ്ടയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him,

Malayalam: പട്ടാളവും സഹസ്രാധിപനും യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ ചേവകരും യേശുവിനെ പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടി

English: And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.

Malayalam: ഒന്നാമതു ഹന്നാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവൻ ആ സംവത്സരത്തെ മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ കയ്യഫാവിന്റെ അമ്മായപ്പൻ ആയിരുന്നു.

English: Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people.

Malayalam: കയ്യഫാവോ: ജനത്തിനുവേണ്ടി ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ മരിക്കുന്നതു നന്നു എന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാരോടു ആലോചന പറഞ്ഞവൻ തന്നേ.

English: And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest.

Malayalam: ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസും മറ്റൊരു ശിഷ്യനും യേശുവിന്റെ പിന്നാലെ ചെന്നു; ആ ശിഷ്യൻ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്നു പരിചയമുള്ളവൻ ആകയാൽ യേശുവിനോടുകൂടെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ നടുമുറ്റത്തു കടന്നു.

English: But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spoke unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter.

Malayalam: പത്രൊസ് വാതിൽക്കൽ പുറത്തു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ, മഹാപുരോഹിതന്നു പരിചയമുള്ള മറ്റെ ശിഷ്യൻ പുറത്തുവന്നു വാതിൽകാവൽക്കാരത്തിയോടു പറഞ്ഞു പത്രൊസിനെ അകത്തു കയറ്റി.

English: Then says the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Are not you also one of this man's disciples? He says, I am not.

Malayalam: വാതിൽ കാക്കുന്ന ബാല്യക്കാരത്തി പത്രൊസിനോടു: നീയും ഈ മനുഷ്യന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ഒരുവനോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; അല്ല എന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself.

Malayalam: അന്നു കുളിർ ആകകൊണ്ടു ദാസന്മാരും ചേവകരും കനൽ കൂട്ടി തീ കാഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; പത്രൊസും അവരോടുകൂടെ തീ കാഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടുനിന്നു.

English: The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine.

Malayalam: മഹാപുരോഹിതൻ യേശുവിനോടു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെയും ഉപദേശത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Jesus answered him, I spoke openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, where the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു യേശു: ഞാൻ ലോകത്തോടു പരസ്യമായി സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പള്ളിയിലും എല്ലാ യെഹൂദന്മാരും കൂടുന്ന ദൈവാലയത്തിലും ഞാൻ എപ്പോഴും ഉപദേശിച്ചു;

English: Why ask you me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said.

Malayalam: രഹസ്യമായി ഒന്നും സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. നീ എന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? ഞാൻ സംസാരിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നു കേട്ടവരോടു ചോദിക്ക; ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞതു അവർ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answer you the high priest so?

Malayalam: അവൻ ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുമ്പോൾ ചേവകരിൽ അരികെ നിന്ന ഒരുത്തൻ: മഹാപുരോഹിതനോടു ഇങ്ങനെയോ ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യേശുവിന്റെ കന്നത്തു ഒന്നടിച്ചു.

English: Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smite you me?

Malayalam: യേശു അവനോടു: ഞാൻ ദോഷമായി സംസാരിച്ചു എങ്കിൽ തെളിവു കൊടുക്ക; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്നെ തല്ലുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

Malayalam: ഹന്നാവു അവനെ കെട്ടപ്പെട്ടവനായി മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ കയ്യഫാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു.

English: And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Are not you also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.

Malayalam: ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസ് തീ കാഞ്ഞുനില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ: നീയും അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനല്ലയോ എന്നു ചിലർ അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു; അല്ല എന്നു അവൻ മറുത്തുപറഞ്ഞു.

English: One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, says, Did not I see you in the garden with him?

Malayalam: മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ ദാസന്മാരിൽ വെച്ച പത്രൊസ് കാതറുത്തവന്റെ ചാർച്ചക്കാരനായ ഒരുത്തൻ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അവനോടുകൂടെ തോട്ടത്തിൽ കണ്ടില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.

Malayalam: പത്രൊസ് പിന്നെയും മറുത്തുപറഞ്ഞു; ഉടനെ കോഴി കൂകി!

English: Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.

Malayalam: പുലർച്ചെക്കു അവർ യേശുവിനെ കയ്യഫാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ നിന്നു ആസ്ഥാനത്തിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി; തങ്ങൾ അശുദ്ധമാകാതെ പെസഹ കഴിപ്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ആസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ കടന്നില്ല.

English: Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring all of you against this man?

Malayalam: പീലാത്തൊസ് അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തുവന്നു: ഈ മനുഷ്യന്റെ നേരെ എന്തു കുറ്റം ബോധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: They answered and said unto him, If he were not a villain, we would not have delivered him up unto you.

Malayalam: കുറ്റക്കാരൻ അല്ലാഞ്ഞു എങ്കിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ അവനെ നിന്റെ പക്കൽ ഏല്പിക്കയില്ലായിരുന്നു എന്നു അവർ അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Then said Pilate unto them, Take all of you him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:

Malayalam: പീലാത്തൊസ് അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി നിങ്ങളുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണപ്രകാരം വിധിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു യെഹൂദന്മാർ അവനോടു: മരണശിക്ഷെക്കുള്ള അധികാരം ഞങ്ങൾക്കില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spoke, signifying what death he should die.

Malayalam: യേശു താൻ മരിപ്പാനുള്ള മരണവിധം സൂചിപ്പിച്ചവാക്കിന്നു ഇതിനാൽ നിവൃത്തിവന്നു.

English: Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Are you the King of the Jews?

Malayalam: പീലാത്തൊസ് പിന്നെയും ആസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ ചെന്നു യേശുവിനെ വിളിച്ചു: നീ യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Jesus answered him, Says you this thing of yourself, or did others tell it you of me?

Malayalam: അതിന്നു ഉത്തരമായി യേശു: ഇതു നീ സ്വയമായി പറയുന്നതോ മറ്റുള്ളവർ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Yours own nation and the chief priests have delivered you unto me: what have you done?

Malayalam: പീലാത്തൊസ് അതിന്നു ഉത്തരമായി: ഞാൻ യെഹൂദനോ? നിന്റെ ജനവും മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും നിന്നെ നിന്റെ പക്കൽ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്തു ചെയ്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു യേശു:

English: Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from behind.

Malayalam: എന്റെ രാജ്യം ഐഹികമല്ല; എന്നു എന്റെ രാജ്യം ഐഹികം ആയിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ എന്നെ യഹൂദന്മാരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കാതവണ്ണം എന്റെ ചേവകർ പോരാടുമായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ എന്റെ രാജ്യം ഐഹികമല്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Pilate therefore said unto him, Are you a king then? Jesus answered, You says that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.

Malayalam: പീലാത്തൊസ് അവനോടു: എന്നാൽ നീ രാജാവു തന്നേയല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു യേശു: നീ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഞാൻ രാജാവുതന്നേ; സത്യത്തിന്നു സാക്ഷിനിൽക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ ജനിച്ചു അതിന്നായി ലോകത്തിൽ വന്നുമിരിക്കുന്നു; സത്യതല്പരനായവൻ എല്ലാം എന്റെ വാക്കുകേൾക്കുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

English: Pilate says unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and says unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

Malayalam: പീലാത്തൊസ് അവനോടു: സത്യം എന്നാൽ എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു പിന്നെയും യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ പുറത്തു ചെന്നു അവരോടു: ഞാൻ അവനിൽ ഒരു കുറ്റവും കാണുന്നില്ല.

English: But all of you have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will all of you therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

Malayalam: എന്നാൽ പെസഹയിൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഒരുത്തനെ വിട്ടുതരിക പതിവുണ്ടല്ലോ; യെഹൂദന്മാരുടെ രാജാവിനെ വിട്ടുതരുന്നതു സമ്മതമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവർ പിന്നെയും:

English: Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.

Malayalam: ഇവനെ വേണ്ടാ; ബറബ്ബാസിനെ മതി എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു; ബറബ്ബാസോ കവർച്ചക്കാരൻ ആയിരുന്നു.
