Matthew 20

English: For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

Malayalam: “സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം തന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ വേലക്കാരെ വിളിച്ചാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പുലർച്ചെക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ട വീട്ടുടയവനോടു സദൃശം.

English: And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

Malayalam: വേലക്കാരോടു അവൻ ദിവസത്തേക്കു ഓരോ വെള്ളിക്കാശു പറഞ്ഞൊത്തിട്ടു, അവരെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ അയച്ചു.

English: And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,

Malayalam: മൂന്നാം മണിനേരത്തും പുറപ്പെട്ടു, മറ്റു ചിലർ ചന്തയിൽ മിനക്കെട്ടു നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു:

English: And said unto them; Go all of you also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ പോകുവിൻ; ന്യായമായതു തരാം എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ പോയി.

English: Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

Malayalam: അവൻ ആറാം മണിനേരത്തും ഒമ്പതാം മണി നേരത്തും ചെന്നു അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചെയ്തു.

English: And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and says unto them, Why stand all of you here all the day idle?

Malayalam: പതിനൊന്നാം മണി നേരത്തും ചെന്നു, മറ്റു ചിലർ നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടിട്ടു; നിങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ പകൽ മുഴുവൻ മിനക്കെട്ടു നില്ക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: They say unto him, Because no man has hired us. He says unto them, Go all of you also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall all of you receive.

Malayalam: ഞങ്ങളെ ആരും കൂലിക്കു വിളിക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടത്രേ എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ: നിങ്ങളും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുവിൻ എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard says unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

Malayalam: സന്ധ്യയായപ്പോൾ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഉടയവൻ തന്റെ വിചാരകനോടു: വേലക്കാരെ വിളിച്ചു, പിമ്പന്മാർ തുടങ്ങി മുമ്പന്മാർവരെ അവർക്കു കൂലി കൊടുക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

Malayalam: അങ്ങനെ പതിനൊന്നാം മണിനേരത്തു വന്നവർ ചെന്നു ഓരോ വെള്ളിക്കാശു വാങ്ങി.

English: But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

Malayalam: മുമ്പന്മാർ വന്നപ്പോൾ തങ്ങൾക്കു അധികം കിട്ടും എന്നു നിരൂപിച്ചു; അവർക്കും ഓരോ വെള്ളിക്കാശു കിട്ടി.

English: And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

Malayalam: അതു വാങ്ങീട്ടു അവർ വീട്ടുടയവന്റെ നേരെ പിറുപിറുത്തു:

English: Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and you have made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

Malayalam: ഈ പിമ്പന്മാർ ഒരു മണിനേരം മാത്രം വേല ചെയ്തിട്ടും നീ അവരെ പകലത്തെ ഭാരവും വെയിലും സഹിച്ച ഞങ്ങളോടു സമമാക്കിയല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do you no wrong: did not you agree with me for a penny?

Malayalam: അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനോടു അവൻ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: സ്നേഹിതാ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു അന്യായം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല; നീ എന്നോടു ഒരു പണം പറഞ്ഞൊത്തില്ലയോ?

English: Take that yours is, and go your way: I will give unto this last, even as unto you.

Malayalam: നിന്റേതു വാങ്ങി പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക; നിനക്കു തന്നതുപോലെ ഈ പിമ്പന്നും കൊടുപ്പാൻ എനിക്കു മനസ്സു.

English: Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is yours eye evil, because I am good?

Malayalam: എനിക്കുള്ളതിനെക്കൊണ്ടു മനസ്സുപോലെ ചെയ്‍വാൻ എനിക്കു ന്യായമില്ലയോ? ഞാൻ നല്ലവൻ ആകകൊണ്ടു നിന്റെ കണ്ണു കടിക്കുന്നുവോ?

English: So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

Malayalam: ഇങ്ങനെ പിമ്പന്മാർ മുമ്പൻ മാരും മുമ്പന്മാർ പിമ്പന്മാരും ആകും.”

English: And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,

Malayalam: യേശു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു യാത്രചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ പന്ത്രണ്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാരെയും വേറിട്ടു കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു വഴിയിൽവെച്ചു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു:

English: Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

Malayalam: “നാം യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോകുന്നുവല്ലോ; അവിടെ മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കും ശാസ്ത്രിമാർക്കും ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും;

English: And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

Malayalam: അവർ അവന്നു മരണശിക്ഷ കല്പിച്ചു, പരിഹസിപ്പാനും തല്ലുവാനും ക്രൂശിപ്പാനും അവനെ ജാതികൾക്കു ഏല്പിക്കും; എന്നാൽ മൂന്നാം നാൾ അവൻ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേല്ക്കും.”

English: Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

Malayalam: അന്നു സെബെദിപുത്രന്മാരുടെ അമ്മ പുത്രന്മാരുമായി അവന്റെ അടുക്കെ വന്നു നമസ്ക്കരിച്ചു അവനോടു ഒരു അപേക്ഷ കഴിച്ചു.

English: And he said unto her, What will you? She says unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on your right hand, and the other on the left, in your kingdom.

Malayalam: “നിനക്കു എന്തു വേണം” എന്നു അവൻ അവളോടു ചോദിച്ചു. അവൾ അവനോടു: ഈ എന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ ഇരുവരും നിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ നിന്റെ വലത്തും ഒരുത്തൻ ഇടത്തും ഇരിപ്പാൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: But Jesus answered and said, All of you know not what all of you ask. Are all of you able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

Malayalam: അതിന്നു ഉത്തരമായി യേശു: “നിങ്ങൾ യാചിക്കുന്നതു ഇന്നതു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ല; ഞാൻ കുടിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന പാനപാത്രം കുടിപ്പാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കഴിയുമോ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. കഴിയും എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And he says unto them, All of you shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

Malayalam: അവൻ അവരോടു: “എന്റെ പാനപാത്രം നിങ്ങൾ കുടിക്കും നിശ്ചയം; എങ്കിലും എന്റെ വലത്തും ഇടത്തും ഇരിപ്പാൻ വരം നല്കുന്നതു എന്റേതല്ല; എന്റെ പിതാവു ആർക്കു ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നുവോ അവർക്കു കിട്ടും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

Malayalam: ശേഷം പത്തുപേർ അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു ആ രണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാരോടു നീരസപ്പെട്ടു.

English: But Jesus called them unto him, and said, All of you know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

Malayalam: യേശുവോ അവരെ അടുക്കെ വിളിച്ചു: “ജാതികളുടെ അധിപന്മാർ അവരിൽ കർത്തൃത്വം ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നും മഹത്തുക്കൾ അവരുടെമേൽ അധികാരം നടത്തുന്നു എന്നും നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു.

English: But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളിൽ അങ്ങനെ അരുതു: നിങ്ങളിൽ മഹാൻ ആകുവാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം നിങ്ങളുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരൻ ആകേണം.

English: And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Malayalam: നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാമൻ ആകുവാൻ ഇചഛിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം നിങ്ങളുടെ ദാസൻ ആകേണം.

English: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Malayalam: മനുഷ്യപുത്രൻ ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യിപ്പാനല്ല ശുശ്രൂഷിപ്പാനും അനേകർക്കു വേണ്ടി തന്റെ ജീവനെ മറുവിലയായി കൊടുപ്പാനും വന്നതുപോലെ തന്നേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

English: And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

Malayalam: അവർ യെരീഹോവിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ വലിയോരു പുരുഷാരം അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.

English: And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, you son of David.

Malayalam: അപ്പോൾ വഴിയരികെ ഇരിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു കുരുടന്മാർ യേശു കടന്നുപോകുന്നതു കേട്ടു: കർത്താവേ, ദാവീദ് പുത്രാ, ഞങ്ങളോടു കുരുണതോന്നേണമേ എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു.

English: And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, you son of David.

Malayalam: മിണ്ടാതിരിപ്പാൻ പുരുഷാരം അവരെ ശാസിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവർ: കർത്താവേ, ദാവീദ് പുത്രാ, ഞങ്ങളോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു അധികം നിലവിളിച്ചു.

English: And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will all of you that I shall do unto you?

Malayalam: യേശു നിന്നു അവരെ വിളിച്ചു: “ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണമെന്നു നിങ്ങൾ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

English: They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.

Malayalam: കർത്താവേ, ഞങ്ങൾക്കു കണ്ണു തുറന്നുകിട്ടേണം എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

English: So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

Malayalam: യേശു മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു അവരുടെ കണ്ണു തൊട്ടു; ഉടനെ അവർ കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു, അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.
